Last night, I took my kids for pizza at Breathe @Goren. The children couldn't get enough of the delicious pizzas, and we even bought some partially baked ones to enjoy at home. The crusts were superb, possibly the best I've ever had. One pizza that stood out was the hot dog pizza, which I highly recommend trying.
First time going here. Great pizza base not doughy or chewy at all. Stick to this consistency and I'll be back again. Worth the money, many thanks.

Quite expensive and not very nice. Doughy and chewy. Generous cheese and nice topping combo's but rubbish pizza base. Given there is an Italian pizza restaurant cheaper and nicer in our small town, don't expect this new place to last long. Update: The Owner says getting good reviews - maybe I tried on a bad night (definitely was doughy) - and I am pleased about that as I wish every new business success. I will try again and see if I was just unlucky!

Took my children for an after school pizza last night and we all couldn't stop eating because they are so delicious... We even took a couple of part baked ones to cook at home! The bases were the best I've ever tasted perfect. We highly recommend the hot dog pizza

Delicious wood-fired pizzas - I have had many take aways from here & they always have so many good deals on for take away which isn’t always advertised on the website or menu so it’s always worth calling up & seeing what offers are on!! The bonkers pizzas are amazing & so different from any other pizza you will try! Really enjoyed!! Would highly recommend!!!!!
Laura Taylor — Google review
Absolute perfection in a pizza. The base is better than any I have had. Sumptuous and flavourful toppings. I will be working my way through the new menu. Delighted.

The Lamb Inn is a delightful rustic pub and eatery situated in the picturesque town of Axminster. This charming establishment offers a wide range of classic British dishes made from locally sourced ingredients. Patrons can choose from an extensive selection of wines, beers, and spirits. Additionally, The Lamb Inn features a fantastic skittles alley that has been praised for its quality, although some have noted that it can be a bit chilly.
Our annual meeting with friends from spain ! Very nice lunch and friendly hosts ! Hope we make it there next year.

What a great find! First off, the food (Scampi & Chips and Chicken Curry) was perfect. Service was friendly and got better the longer we were there. The tea and pint were perfect - and I now have a new favorite beer in England. The space was neat with tons of outside seating. All of that made for a lovely experience that deserves a 5-star. Beyond that , though, we’re the locals in the bar chatting that saved us a great deal of frustration and time. We have to say thank you to the geniuses at the pub who helped us with our parking situation. They knew the best place to get a spot right near where we stayed.

I finished work a little early, so as I was passing Axminster I decided to pop into The Lamb to see the lovely Bel, & see what beer she had on the bar. I chose a pint of Sunshine Reggae from Fine Tuned Brewery, Bishops Lydeard, near Taunton. It was a great choice, golden, fruity, bitter sweet, not over hoped & in good condition. Yummy!
Nick Tucker — Google review
Played skittles here a couple of weeks ago. Great alley but a little cold. Staff were great and skittles food good. There were two TV screens showing sport too and a pool table, bonus..

The staff members are always eager to assist with any inquiries or requests. Customers can enjoy a pleasant dining experience with their families, benefiting from the helpful and friendly service provided by the waitstaff. One of their notable offerings includes duck accompanied by plum sauce, where pineapple takes center stage as the dominant flavor.
Delicious food, large menu, accomodating to my requests. Order could have been taken quicker but we were hungry! Same for drinks. Could have been improved with some back ground music but we enjoyed our evening and got doggy bags for the food we didn't eat.

Went here as other places not doing food. Staff friendly and welcoming. Food was nice. We had a bottle of Blush wine which they charged £22.50 for and only £6.99 a bottle. Was bit more pricy than expected..
Sarah Harleyquinn — Google review
Never had a bad meal here. Service is friendly. Atmosphere is let down by the lack of people using the restaurant (opting for take-away instead) - as we are often the only table in use, but that's not the restaurants fault.
Sarah Hutchings — Google review
So disappointed with my salt and pepper pork tonight. Nothing like the dish I have enjoyed for years-it was gristly spare ribs chopped up, dry and tasteless -awful. Golden House if you don’t have the ingredients or staff to maintain standards please say so instead of taking customers money and expect no one to notice!
annie hodgkins — Google review
I have ordered a Chinese this evening, the chow mien tasted burnt and super salty to the point where 2 hungry young boys couldn’t eat any of it. An expensive meal that was overpriced (happy to pay) providing the food tastes good. Awful won’t be eating there again
Shane How — Google review
Had tea meal as no where else open in Axminster on Sunday night nice enough lady serving and food ok But to charge 15.00 over top off buy price You gotta say charged way to much for Tat drink.
Andy Martin — Google review
To be honest I don't understand why this place has a bad reputation. Had ribs for starters, very meaty and plenty of flavor. Followed by Satay beef and egg fried rice both excellent.
Crafty Gooner — Google review
We had a pleasant enough family meal, the waitress and staff were friendly and helpful. One of our group chose duck with plum sauce, which came with pineapple, which was the predominant flavour, apart from that, it's a good quality local Chinese restaurant offering both eat in and take away.
Jessica Best — Google review
Lovely place, it was an impromptu dinner because the initial place we planned on going was closed, this turned out to be great and fantastic night, no flaws at all.
Temiloluwa Odetayo — Google review
Extremely disappointed with the restaurant, the tables had no clothes on, the menu wasn't appealing to look at and the older waitress was rude trying to tell us where to put our phones and how to eat our food. (Younger waitress very polite) Having not been here for a while ( when it was popular, friendly and the food was amazing) we won't be back 😒
susan phillips — Google review
Just had chaw main as an eat out, absolutely never again, it was half cold and gross to be frank, save you cash and try lucky house, i wouldn't of fed it to my dog. Sorry guys.
Paul Pettit — Google review
Came here on Friday evening, and the restaurant was empty. I’m not sure why as the food was excellent! The waitress from Singapore had fabulous customer service and took the time to recommend what to order. The price was very reasonable including drinks. We will be back!

Indian restaurant
Safar Indian and Seafood restaurant in Axminster provides a wide range of Indian cuisine, catering to both traditional and contemporary tastes. The establishment offers reasonably priced meals, with a friendly and attentive staff. Customers can enjoy a delicious dining experience at this small yet clean restaurant. Whether eating in or opting for takeout, Safar is highly recommended for its flavorful dishes and pleasant atmosphere.
Your first reaction coming here will be “holy *** I think I went down a wrong road” as it’s located in an industrial estate with car mechanics but the actual restaurant is clean, well decorated and you’ll be greeted by the owner who’s friendly as pie. The food was amazing, I would have liked a little more salt but each to their own, the flavours and herbs however… wow. You can tell there’s a pro in the kitchen. We ordered the rogan Josh, masala, bhuna, biryani - all highly recommended. Also it was super affordable and they didn’t even add service charge, so it’s optional (and fully deserved if you have cash!)

Wonderful Indian restaurant. Always delighted everytime we go to Safar, last night was no exception. Excellent food and excellent service. The people at Safar are lovely and welcoming. I love the off the wall decor outside as well, the giant elephant is a treasure.

It has been a few years since we have had Indian food from Safar. I was very impressed and the food was absolutely delicious, we were very hungry and there was plenty. The staff are delightful, friendly and always remember us. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant yo eat in or take away. 🙏 thank you

My absolute favourite restaurant in the South West! I regularly get a takeaway meal from here and it is always piping hot and exactly what I ordered. The staff are so lovely and genuine, there is always a warm welcome. It’s a smaller restaurant which undoubtedly makes it feel much more homely, none of the overcrowding of bigger places, just a well thought out design along with an exceptional menu. I am always astounded how there is so much to choose from! I genuinely cannot fault Safar - they are absolutely 5-star brilliant!!!

We visited Safar for my friends 30th birthday at the weekend. They food was absolutely amazing, and the service was incredible. The staff went above and beyond to make the evening really special for my friend- thank you. I would highly recommend Safar.

I came across this little oasis today and I wish it was my local Indian restaurant! It’s a lovely little restaurant hidden away, with a nice seating area outside and a well presented restaurant for dining in. Very clean with a warm atmosphere. The owner and his family were very hospitable, welcoming and generous, I cannot rate them highly enough. Such nice people. The food was delicious and very tasty! Thanks again, it was lovely to meet you. I’ll be sure to come back:)

Picked up Currys for five people two meals extremely poor and not edible. Spoke to manager who disagreed over one curry but refunded the other he explained very busy night done 96 masala's. Extremely disappointed spoilt new year's eve meal. Have had previous Currys with no problems but won't be ordering again.

We had a road curry last Friday at Safar. It was really fantastic and I cannot thank everyone at Safar enough. Definitely going back!

I hadn’t had a takeaway from here for some time as I’m the only one in my house that likes Indian food. I have always loved Dansak from here. But for the first time I was disappointed. Usually I get a popadom and a yogurt side. Not this time. The Dansak was ok but not as good as usual. I won’t bother again.

The Community Waffle House restaurant in Axminster is a fantastic eatery with tasty food, accommodating staff, and clean surroundings. The prices are also very reasonable. Even during busy times, there is ample space for diners to enjoy their meals and desserts. The menu offers a wide variety of options, including the scrumptious waffle burger. The atmosphere at this lively establishment is welcoming and pleasant. Additionally, the smoked salmon salad is highly recommended.
A community waffle house, has to be good right? Well it's great. Great atmosphere, very relaxed, great volunteer staff, great food, great coffee. I don't go for sweet stuff, but the savory avocado and hummus waffle was perfect. The special coffee of the day was excellent too. The open mic music event is well worth a visit too.

This is a fantastic little community venture. The Waffle House does amazing things for the local community in Axminster. In addition the massive bonus is... The Waffles are delicious 😋

The Community Waffle House 🧇 does exactly what it says on the tin - it is the heart of the community and serves up the BEST waffles. They have regular special waffles so there is always something new to choose from. The staff are all super friendly & helpful. Yes, it can get quite busy depending when you go, so just be patient if you do have to wait as it is 100% worth it! The founders live & breathe what this place is and that really comes across in the vibrancy of the place. If you can’t choose which waffle to go for, get the Awkward One! The smoothies are great too and the views are lush to look out over the Square in Axminster & watch the world go by.

On holiday here and stumbled across this place. Inside is decorated beautifully and the service is excellent They have a nice little play area for little ones which my son loved. The food and drink come out fast and easy very well presented. Would highly recommend this place over the bigger chain cost a lot places. Will definitely visit again Well done staff see you soon

Lovely and lively place. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Lots going on too. Waffle and smoked salmon salad was delicious! (Please note, the live event of the 24th is different, and the phone number on the brochure isn't correct)

What an amazing place,The food is outstanding..Highly recommend if your in the area, it's definitely worth a stop.

Overpriced, basic food! Although we had the savoury ‘burger’ waffles, the sweet options did look better and much more reasonably priced. Unfortunately, service was very slow - but we did visit on a Saturday (presumably the busiest day)
Lauren Nightingale — Google review
Wonderful experience every visit! Good variety and if you're not a fan of what you see you can switch it up or make your own creations (mine is the pineapple/strawberry Fruity One and then a strawberry ice cream with fresh strawberries and Belgian chocolate sauce, then my partners is Greek yoghurt with peanut butter and pecans) Lots of healthy options and smoothies, can have just fruit as well. Go in on your own or with company, chat to the staff, or check out their community board to see what's on!
Aveline Taylor — Google review
What a great place! I wish every community could benefit from having such a venue. And the food was amazing. The best burger I've ever had. Great service as well, kudos to Kate!
Alex S — Google review
I have not been to such a lovely place for such a long time. I had to go as I was taking my laptop to Lawson Computer Repair, highly recommended as well, has a nice setup off of the waffle house. So while waiting , coffee time. Unfortunately, the sight and smell of food got the better of us, so cheesy waffles it was. You had better have a good appetite or share. I can not remember going into a restaurant/cafe, which I am happy to recommend. Fabulous food, freshly cooked, service with a smile with mums, dad's,children, and old wrinklies like me and all this while I'm in my wheelchair. Yes wheelchair accessible via a lift. If local to Axminster, please give it a try. I don't think you will be let down. 🙂

Visited for a meal and dessert on a busy Saturday afternoon. There was still plenty of room and we were kindly greeted on arrival and seated. There was plenty of choice on the menu and we both had a waffle burger. Both were absolutely delicious as were the desserts. Can highly recommend

Amazing coffee. Fab menu, with something for everyone. Gave been many times and always had great service, even when it's super busy. Very family friendly, with a soft play corner for the littles, and retro arcade machines for the big kids.
