Cabanoix et Châtaigne is a charming restaurant located in the heart of Domme. With its rustic and centuries-old setting, it offers an elegant presentation of dishes such as foie gras, duck, and entrecôte. The menu showcases deliciously prepared and beautifully decorated meals, using local ingredients to create a wonderful taste experience. The dessert is particularly noteworthy. This establishment also boasts a good selection of wine to complement the meal.
Excellent restaurant in the heart of Domme. Menu was delicious and very nicely pepared and decorated. Usually three menus are available from which one can choose. The menu is designed to use local products and it tasted wonderful, the dessert was especially good. A good selection of wine is availabe. Owners definitely care what they do. Be aware to reserve a table, otherwise there is no chance to get one just by walking by.

We chose this restaurant for lunch because of good reviews. Love this cozy place. Nice decor. The waiter doesn’t speak English, but tried to help. Food was amazing, but we had to pay with cash because of some Internet problems….

Excellent food served with passion and a wide smile. The owners are very nice, speak perfect English, and are both knowledgeable of their region and willing to share said knowledge with their customers. The wines and spirits selection is great and their advices precious. The courses arrived quickly and the presentation was lovely. Overall very nice experience definitely recommend!

Our experience followed the many positive reviews online. The waitstaff were friendly, patient, accommodating and efficient during our visit. Most important, the food was excellent with trout gravlax and tatin canard forestier standing out. All of the desserts were of very high quality (I believe they have a pastry chef on staff) and the strawberry pistachio dessert was particularly exceptional. I appreciated that they had a good selection of regional wines by the glass and the courtyard setting was also inviting. Our dinner definitely stood out among the many meals we ate while travelling between Paris and Toulouse.

The menu has a range of choices-all really interesting. The preparation, presentation are fantastic resulting in an awesome experience of taste. Wonderful wine list with many regional wines, even one at the outskirts of the village The family who run the restaurant are wonderful and warm as are the staff. Be sure to reserve in advance.

We were there three weeks ago and it was just fabulous! The setting is wonderful, the service excellent, and the food just wonderful! We can't wait to return, and we will, soon!
Rick Glantz — Google review
The service was ridiculously slow, the server was rude to us, the wrong food was delivered despite preordering, overall a very disappointing experience given the price and reviews we saw. Our white wine was served room temperature in the summer heat. Not recommended.

Pizza restaurant
Italian restaurant
Pizzeria des templiers in Domme is a pleasant restaurant with amiable staff and a wide array of cocktails and salads. The tiramisu is delectable, although the veggie pizza can be underwhelming due to its excessive toppings, resulting in sogginess. Situated in a fabulous location, it's advisable to make reservations during busy periods.
Super good pizza's for a super good price. Very pleasant and fast service in a great atmosphere. Very good Tiramisu as well! If you're looking for good and honest food in Domme this is the place to go.

Very tasty food and good service on a beautiful location. They have some great vegetarian options. I highly recommend this place.

This is a friendly, delicious restaurant with authentic pizza and pasta. We booked for an evening table and the restaurant was already busy when we arrived. The waitress was extremely helpful and we muddled through with our French and her much better English. She helped us with items on the menu and was very attentive and warm. The goats cheese and honey salad was delicious and my husband loved his carbonara. My kids had jambon pizzas which they felt were a little plain (but I think they needed to be more adventurous!). I would absolutely recommend this place - the price was excellent value and we really enjoyed our meal. Thank you very much.

Ate there two nights in a row. Once for dine in and the other for take out. Very good thin crust brick oven Italian style pizzas but maybe a little under salted compared to Italy. Otherwise great pizzas. The pasta carbonara was not too creamy and seemed very similar to a carbonara from Rome but a bit bitter tasting but pretty good. Nice atmosphere and very friendly service!

Great pizza and salads, great service- something non-goose based if you like! Fast service and wonderful food - clean restrooms.

We visited this pizzeria twice during our stay in Domme in October. The food was good and it was still warm enough to sit in the courtyard area in the evening. The staff were friendly. If we visit Domme again, we will certainly book this pizzeria again.

Fabulous location in Domme, well worth a visit and maybe book in advance at busy times. Have been there a number of times in past years and they have consistently provided great food in a very relaxed environment by friendly helpful staff tolerant of my poor french. I would highly recommend it.

I frequently visit this pizza restaurant whenever I'm in the Dordogne region, and it never fails to impress. They consistently serve excellent pizzas that are a true delight. The quality of their ingredients shines through in every bite, and their crust is consistently perfect - crisp and delicious. What sets this place apart, apart from the fantastic food, is the incredibly friendly staff. They've made me feel like a valued guest during each visit. It's become a tradition for me to stop by whenever I'm in the Dordogne area. If you're ever in the Dordogne region and craving exceptional pizza in a welcoming atmosphere, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit.

A wonderful, warm welcoming place! The rooms are clean and offer all you need-all with different character. Specially the welcome drink and the open and friendly atmosphere in the bar, where people meet, was different from anonym hotel lobbies. Kevin cooks wonderful and offers you great soups and meals! We felt very flexible about our check-in despite our late arrival. The services are efficient, with a very decent breakfast. Special mention to Kévin who helped us out by taking care of our dog during our morning visit. Julian (Original) Une découverte sympa et une belle expérience. Auberge de la Rode is a well-managed, family-owned restaurant in France that serves consistently delicious and beautifully presented food at a reasonable price. The dessert in the photo deserves a special mention for being incredible. The service provided by the staff is excellent, and the restaurant is frequently full, so it's advisable to make a reservation.
So often in very popular touristy areas you can get caught out with sub-par over-priced restaurants. However, this place was excellent! Pricing is above average but we felt the standard of the food was worth it and the staff are awesome. Location superb. The amuse bouche was a plus.

Lovely spot for lunch overlooking the square. Great people watching and really nice local specialities with super nice staff. My husband loved his smoked trout starter and we both enjoyed duck parmentier (like a shepherds pie but full of yummy duck) 😋

Lovely staff, nice deor and delicious meal; white and red local wine suggested by the staff- excellent!, foie Gras starter, beef tenderloin w/ truffle sauce and truffle mashed potatoes, desert. A must eat location.

Superb dinner. 2 of us had starters and mains, the other 2 mains and desserts. Everything was delicious. A special mention for the dessert in the photo - it was incredible. Excellent service too. This is a well run family restaurant and is definitely worth a visit. By far our best meal in France.

This is a quiet, cute little place on the top of a mountain. It has a family owned feel and charm. The service was great, very friendly. The menu was perfect. I had duck pie and it was divine! Would highly recommend!

This is a family owned and run restaurant, where delicious and beautifully presented food is served consistently and at reasonable price. Just save a little space for dessert! The restaurant is often full in the evenings, so it's always better to book. Try it, you'll love it!

We had the €20 menu plus half a litre of house red and loved everything. I know you can't go on looks alone but the deserts that were coming out all looked fantastic.

French restaurant
La Borie Blanche is a quaint, family-operated inn with six tables. As the only out-of-town guests, we received a formal welcome and were handed menus. We started with homemade Vin de Noix (walnut) and Vin de Peche (peach) aperitifs, which received positive reactions from other patrons. The food was exceptionally fresh and hearty, leaving us completely satisfied. You certainly won't leave hungry after dining here.
I'd forgotten to revue La Borie, so here goes. Initially made the schoolboy error of relying on Google opening hours, my bad! Simple rural cuisine that is really well done. Three menus were on offer, 19€, 22€, and 25€ respectively. Went for the 22€ option. Four courses of totally flavoursome food. Soup, Pate, Steak, and Fromage Blanc. This was a classic example of having first class ingredients that speak for themselves, and do not need embellishing, great wine too. A smattering of French will exacerbate your experience, and I'd definitely recommend booking, as inside there is limited seating. Eating here was a pleasure, and I will be returning.

We entered this six-table, family run auberge, obviously the only out of town guests. We were greeted formally and given our menus. Starting with aperitifs of delicious homemade Vin de Noix (walnut) and Vin de Peche (peach) earned us nods of approval from the other tables. The ultra-fresh, hearty food just kept coming and everything we had was outstanding. You will not go home hungry. On top of that, it is an amazing value. The experience reminded me of eating at my (farmer’s wife) grandmother’s house. The proprietress told us everyone tells her that. In the end, this was one of our warmest and most welcoming experiences we’ve had in France and one we will never forget! Merci encore Mme.Borde et famille!

Awesome restaurant/farm. The steak is very good, from their own cattle. The food is simple, traditional farmers dishes, but very good. For only 22€, you get a 4-course meal, which could feed you for two days. Moreover, the place is absolutely charming, in the courtyard of their beautiful farm, shaded by several huge chestnut trees. During high season, you should book at least 3 days in advance.

Lovey farm food, best steak we had in the area. Made us very welcome even though we don't speak much french. Highly recommended!

It was awesome! The food was great and I must say that the owner is probably one of the most friendly and nicest restaurant owners that I've learned to know so far! But everything was great so I must say that you should go and (at least) visit it. Here you can have it in french: c'était super!
Erik Tasse — Google review
One of our favourite restaurants in France. Everything fresh from their farm, perfectly cooked, plenty of it, just a step up from the usual restaurants in the area. You really need to book as they have limited seating, but you will not be disappointed, the whole experience is not to be missed. We used to live just down the hill from here, and they managed to squeeze 4 of us in for Saturday lunch and everything was as perfect as ever, thank you. Also, you must buy some of their beef pate, and don't skip this course on the menu, delicious.
