We had a table in the open section towards the river looking up to the Chateau above. This made it a really lovely place to sit and eat. We booked in advance which I think helped. Food was very good. The food was extremely tasty, basque origins as we had the tapas menu. Starters were wonderful. The main courses were good but maybe a little samey as the starters so the flavours had worn off on us a little. Our daughter had the chicken nuggets and chips which she said was very good. My only issue which we didn't realise was the children's menu main course is delivered with the starter. Had we known we would have asked for it to come with the mains. This meant our daughter didn't have anything when we were entourage mains. In hindsight that is what I would change. Overall very good.

We dropped in on a rainy afternoon and were warmed by a burner and hearty Basque food. A light cheery space with the river and a chateau on view. Take your time. There’s a lot of food. And don’t skip dessert.

Their duck gizzard salad was surprisingly very good! Every dish was made with love. Creme brulee was smooth with the most delicate scent that didn't smell like vanilla and more like a flower.
