Cafe
FuerteVida is a restaurant that delights in sharing unforgettable moments on and off land. Their menu boasts a variety of delectable options, including fresh fruit juice, renowned burgers, burritos, nachos, and empanadas. Each dish is crafted with care using fresh ingredients. A mountain biker stopping for lunch at FuerteVida can expect friendly waitstaff and an atmosphere filled with celebration.
Nice little café/restaurant with good vibes just before the trail up to the volcano. Excellent place to eat and drink something before or after the trek. Good choice for different taste buds. Check out my photos of the menu that is available in different languages (English/Spanish/German). At least one person of the staff spoke a good level of English. They do accept credit cards too.

We stopped here for a little lunch break during a mountain bike tour and ordered some Mexican snacks from the menu. The waiters were very friendly, the DJ was celebrating his life, and the food was tasty and reasonably priced. Only downside was that we ordered a vegetarian dish and got the chicken filling which you do not see until you dig in the dish. Since I am vegetarian I could not eat it, but also did not want to throw it away. So my non-vegetarian partner ate it instead.

Great spot to hangout at the end of the afternoon to have a couple of drinks in a super chill setting! Staff are very cool and extra welcoming. The menu is quite large and offers tasty soit American dishes as well as some classics. Loved it!
Ludovic Seri — Google review
Very funky place. Loving the vibes and comfy seats. Feels nice to just take a break there. The service is extremely slow, but considering it was very busy and there was only one waitress she did the best she could. Food was OK. We were disappointed to see the cheese on nachos and burritos was one of those ready made squeezed from the plastic tube, we suspect the same for guacamole unfortunately. We still liked it and enjoyed our drinks and bite to eat.

Great food, big portions. We went to relax here in the sun a couple of times and enyojed the laidback atmosphere and (live) reggae music while we had lunch. Burritos, taco's and empanada's, + fries. Everything homemade and really tasty. Staff is very friendly. Would recommend. Don't hurry though, but be happy!

Perfect place to eat or chill before the hike. Delicious arepas and lovely terrace.

Didn't got the chance to eat there but it's a very nice place to drink! In the middle of nowhere, great place and great prices and the chocolate cake was very good!

Food was delicious, waiter knew little English. Sangria was amazing, great views. Great stop after climbing the volcano

Cool surf vibe and reggae music on Friday’s. Really liked the vegan arepa. Food took around 45min so best not be in a hurry. Fritz Cola was a welcome menu addition 👏

We started in Corralejo and finished our hiking at Lajares where we encountered that beautiful Venezuelan restaurant. Service was great and food seemed too even though we didn’t eat there but got a cold local beer. Lovely

Bakery
Cafe
La Paneteca is a bakery in Lajares that offers high-quality bread and pastries, reminiscent of those found in France. The staff is friendly and the establishment is well-organized with clean seating areas and restrooms. Customers can enjoy delicious avocado and tomato toast, perfectly cooked pastries, and delightful coffees. While some find the prices to be on the higher side, others appreciate the fresh and homemade feel of the products.
I love the products. Bread and cake is perfect, and Cappuccino 8 out of 10 times at least sufficient. Unfortunately, there is no vegan option, and I liked the place 2 years ago more from the ambient point of view. The new look reminds me of a gas station.

One of the best, if not the best, bakeries in Lajares. Splendid atmosphere, welcoming vibe with great staff, amazing pastries (the cronut is a must) and perfect selection of breads of all sorts.
Ludovic Seri — Google review
Great avocado and tomato on toast, pastries were cooked to perfection and coffees were delicious! Everything felt so fresh and homemade. We took a rosemary focaccia to take away. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Would 100% recommend. Increíble!
Amy Cosgrove — Google review
Absolutely amazing! Everything we tried was delicious and at reasonable prices. The service is great and helpful. Certainly the best cafe/bakery we tried on Fuerteventura.
Martyna Kmiecik — Google review
Bread is amazing - great quality, almost like in France! The only downside are the prices. Some products are very expensive. Staff is friendly and very well organized. Sitting area and toilets and very clean. I recommend if you want good quality pastries and bread!
Justine — Google review
I am german and very into bread. I have to say these were one of the best bread products I have ever had! It is really high quality artisanal bread and pastry.
Luk Holzner — Google review
I would really like to recommend this bakery to you. Delicious toast with ham and tomatoes or vegetarian with guacamole. Coffee, Cake and pastries are also available. I went there several times. Staff is friendly.

Great place for breakfast or a quick bite in the afternoon. They have great sweet and savory options. Don't miss the Almond Croissant, it's amazing.

Great for a brunch, very tasty food for a reasonable price, great coffe

Great for a brunch. Very tasty food for a reasonable price. The location is not stunning (on a road) but they have a nice terrace. Just a few tables and it’s quite well known, so be prepared to wait on the line for a while… recommended
ernesto p — Google review
Heavenly experience. See the check for all the sweets we had. All were fantastic! And the focaccia and bread too. I wanted to take a photo of what we had but… well too late. The prices are not very high in comparison to what you get. Plus they have very good logistics. Many thanks!
Inka — Google review
Best bakery I’ve been in a while (and I live in London where there are tons of good bakeries). The bread is phenomenal, all pastries are made to perfection. Perfectly laminated croissants and yet not greasy. An absolute gem 🤤🤤
Anna Lavezzari — Google review
Great place for sandwiches and pastries of high quality. I also like that they have a great system to assign tables in a fair way. Highly recommend.
Jean Baptiste Hallaire — Google review
Delicious bakery and great atmosphere. Parking is just over the road, over the roundabout. Every time I come to Corralejo I make a trip here.

Restaurant
El Arco is a coffee roaster that operates independently with a genuine passion for the artful service of brewing. Guided by their motto "prepared by surfers for surfers," El Arco warmly welcomes both coffee enthusiasts and hungry surfers alike. Their menu offers a wide range of options to satisfy any appetite, including specialty coffee, unique burgers designed for meat lovers and vegans alike, an assortment of salads, delectable sandwiches, and irresistible homemade cakes.
This was our first visit to this establishment and it certainly won't be our last. Located on the main road through Lajares the business is a cafe as well as grinding and selling their own brand of excellent coffee. The business has both internal seating as well as seating on a covered open area. The sandwiches and cakes are wonderful - substantial and healthy! The cafe has a very clean toilet and the whole place was well cared. We can certainly recommend a visit to here.🙂👍

If in Lajares, you have to give these guys a visit, they have the BEST coffee!! Speciality coffee and great homemade food... Simply yummy! ✌️
Kelly Walton — Google review
Went for a late lunch. Ordered the special. It was massive and delicious. Half an avocado, two eggs, three strips of bacon a large slice of toast and sliced tomatoes. The coffee was excellent and the service was fast and friendly. Muchas gracias Arco!
Trystan Mullins — Google review
Seems like very good specialty coffee at first but they are all dark roasted and therefore pretty much taste they same. Still better than what you'll find in Starbucks and will be to most peoples liking. As a person who loves specialty coffee - with strong taste notes of berries, flowers and so forth, these coffees disappoints me. Owner was kind and helpful and sold me three bags of "specialty coffee" all very different, but all taste the same..
SB Christensen — Google review
It's a place with a soul.. and it's a sandy and salty one. Food is fresh and mouth watering and coffee .. now, if you like your coffee this is a place to go. Independent coffee roasters who love coffee and love serving coffee. Don't forget to grab some grains to go, it's worth it! We ordered sandwiches, burger and omelette and each dish was lovely. We will be back!
Anna — Google review
We have visited El Arco many times and we are never disappointed. Great burgers, coffee and homemade chocolate brownie today, all fantastic quality. Always made to feel very welcome. We shall return many more times. Thank you 😊

LE meilleur café des canaries torréfié sur place. Le reste vaut son pesant d’étoiles. Et n’en déplaise aux français qui veulent s’approprier toutes les célébrités francophones, Michel est BELGE, ... depuis toujours. Hé oui. 😉 (Translated by Google) THE best coffee in the Canary Islands roasted on site. The rest is worth its weight in stars. The most fresh meal I’ve had since I’ve been in Fuertaventura. Simple. Delicious. Super Fresh. And the coffee is delicious.
Colleen Dooley — Google review
Good place, coffee was slow and cold (machine was broken when we visited), outdoor seating is on the main road so can be a bit noisy. Cheery and helpful staff, and though cold the coffee did have good flavour
Pete Larson — Google review
In the last 2 years or so, I have become a coffee snob. So much that I refuse to go to a random coffee shop, I even bring my travel coffee kit with me when I go somewhere so I don’t risk starting my day with bad coffee. I can say that I have tasted no coffee that comes even close to the one they serve here. You can taste the freshness (they toast it here). And they use the original mechanical espresso machine (had never seen one before). It was quite an experience! 100% recommended!
Eyuel Melese — Google review
Cozy spot with nice selection. We only were passing through for a snack— got a piece of cake and kombucha but would love to go back to try their all day breakfast. In general, really like the chill atmosphere and friendly people.
Julie Kuhrt — Google review
Great place but we are not coming back, they have mess with billing you. Biggest problem is they knew they did mistake but stay quiet until I came back with wrong bill and knew exactly what is the case. They have nice breakfest and burgers. Simple tastes. Owner roasts coffee beans, so you can get a speciality coffee as well. Negative, and what a shame for such a nice bar! For extra omelette in croissant you pay almost half of the price of whole food you eat (+3€) and we were also wrongly billed (they charge us double the price of croissant). So be careful…
Peter Ondrovic — Google review
If you are into specialty coffee, the owner is a roaster and has pretty good coffee selection. Plus the burgers are very tasty! 😊

Omg! What a gastronomic experience. We tried for a reservation the first time we visited and they were booked. This time back, i made sure that we had a table. I am so glad I did. We were treated to some of the most wonderful dishes; starters, toasts, entrees and more! The pork melted on the tongue, the meat balls tasted like a grandmother made them fresh in her kitchen, the squid was so unique and flavorful. It was such a wonderful dinner. We can't wait to come back again.

This food was just heaven! Such nice little specialties. Also a wide variety of beers and wines. The cheese were also delicacies. The location is a little drive from Coralejo and quite in de dark but you can nicely sit outside under the heaters. Definitely recommend going here for dinner!
Niek Gramser — Google review
High attention to detail, fine dining quality and an explosion of local and exotic flavours. Great selection of wines and knowledgeable recommendations. I would eat here 3/day if I could.

Delicious meal with a really great atmosphere and friendly staff. Great selection of local craft beer and wine. Highly recommend the cheese sharing board (with delicious local goats cheeses)!!

Really excellent food. Great service. Good range of beers and wines. Slightly limited menu choices but everything we had was fantastic. Stools to sit on were uncomfortable, definitely need seat backs.

Canela is a great place to enjoy a meal with live music on a regular basis. Their artisanal beers are also worth trying.
If you're looking for a great place for food and drinks then look no further! We both had burgers, the cheese Canela-absolutely beautifully cooked. Also the pulled pork and beef burger, again cooked perfectly pink and juicy, lovely slow roasted pulled pork and cheddar served with parmeseno and garlic fries. Highly recommended! Will not disappoint! Will definitely be back! Compliments to the chef 👍

If you want to feel like local who knows everyone and everyones passing by is greeting you this is the please you need to visit this place. Except that: 1. Unbelievably tasty food, 2. Great stuff which is always superb nice and polite. Oh, what else: if you are a meat-eater you MUST try their ribs. Here’s the photo with my normal size finger 😃😃😃

Cool cafe/bar to visit in Lajares. Live music and a cool surfer vibe, excellent friendly service from our server and generous portions of food. Really enjoyed my steak. Loads of beers on tap and good selection of food for the kids..

Went here for our last meal out before flying home the following day. Just wish we'd gone there earlier in our holiday. Nice friendly staff, very nice burgers. Would recommend the nacho starter.

Nice place in Lajares with a good variety to choose from. Staff was friendly and effective. Maybe our choice was not good. The falafel burger was not great, fries were similar to any fast food chain, and the chili con carne burrito was average. The salmon poke was good. Affordable prices. Less than 20 EUR per person. Check the pics
Carles Carrera — Google review
We loved it here - great for a cold beer and lovely, unpretentious food. We dined here three times during our week in Lajares! Brian, who I believe to be pretty new there was an absolute trooper and him and the staff work extremely hard - the bar gets very busy so have some empathy if you need to wait longer than you'd prefer. I have to be honest on our final visit we sadly aborted our last drinks order as it didn't materialise after 20 mins of waiting and my husband was getting a bit frustrated! 😁 We found the food to be brilliant - very tasty and great value. A brilliant humble bar, doing cold beer, great food and live music - what's not to like? See you next year x

Great experience! Friendly staff, great food, cold beer. Had the nachos, awsome! The chicken fingers for the kids are homemade. The ribs were tender and the meat fell off the bone the wife loved the burgers! Definitely should try it.

Good place for breakfast, nothing special but varied options available, but somewhat small in size. Live music on site in the evenings. Spacious and comfortable. Limited seating outside. Can pay with card. Friendly staff. Worth a stop if you’re passing by.

I love the fact that they have live music session each Wednesday.

Best restaurant we’ve tried in whole Fuerteventura (tried most of the top ones on TripAdvisor). Nice prices, great atmosphere, fantastic service and excellent delicious food! The burgers are absolutely amazing, and I can also recommend the Nachos Locos. A huge portion, and tastes so yummy! Been there twice, once for dinner and once for lunch. Going back tomorrow for breakfast, before heading home.
