Cozy rstaurant with a quite simple fish menu, strictly based on the local catch of the day and performed with a sure hand: try fried anchovies or potato velouté with prawn and squid. Above all, everyone is welcomed as the best guest, without any artifice or affectation. You could love it.

Delicious fish restaurant, reasonably priced as all wonderfully fresh. Shame the beautiful open terrace overlooking the sea is closed.

Had lunch as a group. Service was lacking, food mostly of a good standard but Poke Bowls are to be avoided - made of American fish and bland fish.

Fantastic place and gourmet fresh food Restaurant

Last night we spent 140€ for a three people dinner. The fish patties as starters were okay, only I suspect they were reheated, as the cold veggie cream soup that came with them helped corroborating. They arrived very quickly, as did the disappointingly tasteless tuna, dispelling many doubts about the freshness of the dishes. The white wine was sugary but accompanied well the second courses, if it wasn't that my bass filled was already splashed with the water of its own cooking, making for a soggy, kinda sad piece of fish. Decorating the dish were some artsy doodled 'commas' made of what we discovered being ketchup sauce. This was probably the lowest moment of the dinner. Obviously It didn't sit well with any of the accompanied dishes. At last the tiramisu came, but instead of the classic coffee and liquor the biscotto was floating in a dense bitter liquid that I failed to recognise nor appreciate that much.

Great location, food and service. Reasonable prices. What more can you ask for.......

The food at the CARAVELLA was very low standard! I would especially advice against the fish dishes. The sidedishes and vegetables are overcooked, lukewarm or straight out of the can. Dessert, while the only filling part of the meal, was just as tasteless as the rest. The best thing that I can say about dinner at Hotel CARAVELLA is that, beside some sight nausea, no one got food poisoning. The worse then the food though was the service. None of the waiters seemed bothered to serve the gests. Either standing around idly chatting and ignoring the guests or sitting around inside and watching television while people waited for their food. We might just have caught the place on a bad evening, but if you have the chance, I'd advise you to eat somewhere else!

I'm really surprised by the restaurant and the reviewers, how did Davis get such a high score. So let's get down to business: we ordered 2 pizzas that were clearly over-baked (or the pizza pads were old), as hard to cut as eating, let's say I tried to cut a plate in half. Apparently the guest choice is based on nationality, since the Americans are highly acclaimed there, the waiters virtually jump around them. A bill was asked 3 times in 15 minutes to finally get it. Final verdict: Except for North American citizens, not recommended.

Tasty food but inadequate and incompetent staff. I had to point to the owner (who didn't even have the politeness to justify himself) fail to comply with the order to book the food and the imperfection of the order, in fact I was surprised to see numerous positive reviews on him. The waiting time for professionalism was also unacceptable.

Avoid, tourist trap. We ordered a mix of seafood - everything was raw. I pointed it out to a waiter - he took some pieces and burned them completely. Artichokes were not cooked either. Fried vegetables - only spicy spinach which was not edible. The parts were also small. I wanted dry white wine and got expensive super acidic wine. We wait for our food and even check in forever, the service is bad, they don't pay attention at all. Really shocked to see the rating of this place, the most terrifying restaurant of our big Italian tour and the only one we didn't enjoy

Career Oscar to the owner and Chef for his passion for cooking and true italian flavours that you can taste and enjoy in the excellent fish dishes proposed. Indeed few aspects (the welcome prosecco, missing AC, homestyle but at the end friendly service) are not exactly in line with Michelin starred standards but after you start to taste the food and get along with the staff you forget the Michelin and enjoy some of the best fish receipts you may find. The wine list is also excellent. Absolutely deserves a stop for a realxed and tasty stop on the Riviera

Nut allergy sufferers please avoid at all costs. I made the restaurant aware of my allergy as part of booking and during ordering, yet the waiter gave no care towards this. My food as a result contained traces of nuts leaving me with a minor nut allergy reaction, which the restaurant couldn’t care less about and did not ask if I was okay but instead insisted the food contained no nuts and continued forward like nothing happened and then had the nerve to charge us for good service .i would suggest to have all foods and services are much better in La Ruggia

One of the worst restaurants I've ever been to, and I've been to countless restaurants. Unfriendly personnel, overcooked food, half a kilo salt per dish, brought the wrong dishes and refused to change them. In addition two of the servants started to fight with each other, standing in the middle of the restaurant screaming at each other. Would strongly recommend to go anywhere else.

Arrived at the restaurant as a walk in with 4 people, was not allowed in the empty restaurant because apparently he wax fully booked!! Doesn't say you need to book to have lunch on the website! Especially when there were free tables!!! Not happy.

We’re staying at the hotel sharing the name, but is not part of the same establishment, as the Albatros beach. Upon arrival we wanted to have an evening swim, passed down through the hotel and onto the beach. With our feet in the sand, we were redirected back up through the hotel, out on the street and along the road to enter the beach by a different access. There are many ways to communicate. I would avoid this place for what it’s worth

Private beach with rude personal and absurd prices. 50€ for a day at the beach is too much. Also they ruined my sons sand castle just in front of him - not nice at all. Kid was obviously dissapointed.

Unfriendly, unwelcoming and generally an unpleasant experience. Would not recommend. Pizza was ok, other food was terrible. Be warned they add a 3euro service charge per person (small print in Italian on the drinks menu) despite terrible service and being charged for a 3 and 5 year old (who shared a meal) they refused to remove the 12 euro charge. Which resulted in a member of staff throwing a menu at me, demanding I leave despite my child being in the bathroom. All in all a horrible experience that I would not wish on any other family. Plenty of other welcoming friendly places to choose from. Avoid at all costs

Tourist trap. We were here today. Paid 120€ for 2 people for Dinner. Had two salats (15,50 each, very simple and no specials), two spaghetti vongole (22,50€) each and some wine. Price and quality definitely does not match, the great view can’t compensate this.

Very nice beach club and quiet, with good facilities including a VERY expensive private car park: we paid 30 euros for the day, but we would have not found a car spot otherwise. The bar and restaurant were also ok (we can only judge the sandwiches) but the atmosphere was nothing special. Members of staff were polite and they all wore masks all the time . The club benefits from an amazing location with a stunning view and a crystal clear water perfect for snorkeling. The reason I give three stars is the expensive price of the beds, the food and drinks and the private parking, which didn't reflect value for money. Probably we wouldn't go back.

Not bad. Expensive. Nice view. Pizzas were Ok. Spaghetti gluten free with vongole 50/50 Panna cotta was delicious. Both choco and strawberry. Ricotta torte with pears and choco sauce very good too. Tiramisu in the cup, we prefer torte

It’s nothing grand and the prices are high. Pizza was somewhat disappointing but the view is nice and the desserts were quite ok.
