Occasionally, one stumbles upon a promising establishment that turns out to exceed expectations. La Cabane Avoriaz is such a place. Its impressive exterior boasts large circular windows and an inviting entrance. The warm and friendly greeting at the door is matched by pleasant and professional service throughout the dining experience. The ambiance and decor are delightful, instantly captivating visitors' hearts. But it is the food that truly shines here - each dish from the kitchen is flavorful, exquisite, and bursting with authentic flavors.
A very beautiful restaurant, located high in the mountains in Avoria. We were there on March 8, 2024. We were greeted by a beautiful brunette girl with a very friendly smile. Beautiful views outside and inside. Everything is made of wood and such warm colors, I was so happy when it was warm inside the restaurant, since it was cold outside even though it was sunny , but in the restaurant it was hot even in a jacket, girls can wear a dress and don’t freeze in the restaurant 😀. At first the service is slow, but then everything is fine, very calm, kind waiters, I liked that you can come and order food during the day from 12:00 to 13: 00, but you can sit and eat and drink and dessert longer and enjoy the beautiful views, no one will rush you and send you out of the restaurant, even if lunch is over, there is a large bar counter, many different beautiful seats for any company, this is the first place where finally they served a fork for dessert and it was very convenient, beautiful dishes, high-quality glasses, for example for whiskey 🥃. The people around were sitting all happy and it was clear that they liked the atmosphere. Very tasty food, this time we ordered a light meal - sushi 🍣 🍱 We recommend the restaurant 🍽️

Friendly staff and excellent ambiance. There was a person playing live music. Appetizers were ok but the steak tartar and shepherds pie were delicious

Very nice menu with a diversity of dishes (not only the typical savoyard) superbly located in the village . Nice atmosphere

Beautiful space with an identity crisis. Not sure if it wants to be a stylish restaurant or a night club. Trying to be both isn’t working. The live singer was really enjoyable, the food was good but overpriced, the decor fantastic. The DJ that came on after was an issue. People are sitting down for dinner and he starts blasting music way, way to loud. Good transitions, but just unable to read the room at all. It wasn’t party time yet. Whoever thought those tables was a good idea missed too. So wide it’s impossible to have a conversation with anyone even if the restaurant was quiet. Add to that the music festival level of volume and you won’t hear the people you’re with even if they’re yelling. We didn’t even finish our meal and left as soon as possible before going deaf.

Fantastic dining experience. I came with a group of 55. Superb service and food. Really excellent lunchtime with them.

On a vraiment passé un agréable moment (Translated by Google) Very nice establishment, which delivers really good dishes - which justifies a slightly high price -, all complemented by an extensive wine list. The service is careful and attentive. If the atmosphere is nice with a live singer in the evening, the room is relatively noisy. We really had a nice time

To be fair food is amazing! But if you want to spend a absolute fortune and be serviced by the rudest staff you have ever met this is your place! Would never go back!

We chose to come here for dinner as part of the the ski package and had to book to get in as it was busy due to the excellent location and food options. The quality of the service was very good and the food was excellent, but it was a little more expensive than others nearby. We had 2 different steaks, a burger and chicken with a bottle of wine which came to just over €40 per person.

We had a wonderful dinner here during our ski holiday. The food and wine were delicious, and the staff was friendly and very accommodating. We especially enjoyed the live singer. She had just the right volume and tempo. If you’re looking for fast and cheap this isn’t your place but is you want a special Savoyard experience I highly recommend a visit.

(Translated by Google) Delicious food and cozy atmosphere. However, the singer did not have a beautiful voice. Only the men received personal attention from her. Logically, because women are not keen on this. The music was also way too loud so you couldn't hear each other.

You know every so often you just stumble across a place that you think might be good, but it ends up being much more than that!!! Walked into La Cabane because we were obviously hungry. The place from the outside looks great with its huge round porthole windows and very nice entrance. The greeting at the door was very friendly and inviting, as was the service, pleasant and professional!!! The decor and ambiance was fantastic, and we instantly fell in love with the place. The food, we can describe it as WOW!!! Everything that came out of the kitchen was flavoursome, exquisite and with genuine flavours, just as we expected and wanted, especially the shepherds pie and the pot of veal, just awesome!!! We are coming back!!!

We were served by Catarina and she was the best. Helped us quickly and went out of her way to serve us even better by getting a special doggy bag to not waste the food. Was not the best food ever, but very nice still.

I have been on a quest to find the top dining establishment in Avoriaz, and I have finally discovered it. Restaurant La Réserve is an extraordinary place that surpasses all others in the area. It is perplexing how any other restaurants are even allowed to operate when this remarkable establishment exists. If I could rate it with more than five stars, I would.
We were at La Reserve for dinner. It is very nicely decorated inside, really welcoming - if anything maybe a little too warm. The food was very good (some choices on the menu were a little basic). The service was great too, very helpful sommelier. We would definitely go back.
Sarah Gujadhur — Google review
Disgusting service and way of communication from the manager and the staff. We arrived at 12.15 for lunch, and the place was empty (attaching photo). The restaurant refused to give us a table without a reservation, arguing that they are fully booked starting from 12. Despite this, they gave the table for other people without reservation just before us. The manager kept saying, ‘I have a Michelin plate. If you want to eat at my place, you need to book it over the phone. Otherwise, go to the brasserie. I’m OK with a fully booked place, but I’m not ok with rude communication boasting about Michelin stars and going to eat at the brasserie. I am writing this review from the brasserie.

A perfect restaurant experience. The food is delicious, unique and fresh. The service is unparalleled! The restaurant was completely booked and to accommodate us they went lengths to bring a chair from another restaurant to accommodate us. The ambiance is comfortable and warm, with the thoughtful light fixtures and oak finishes feeling like a warm hug. We came here twice on our trip and I still dream about the experience! We are so excited to come back.

This is our second visit. We were here last year as well. The ambiance is really nice but the service was extremely slow. The food was good. I only give 4 out of 5 because they didn't ask what temperature we prefer our meat and even if I like mine medium rare, this was rare. We didn't order dessert because we didn't want to stay another 45 minutes there. We were tired after a long day.
Lola Perez — Google review
The place seemed really nice and we tried to walk in to have a lunch. What a shock it was to receive a reply that if we want to eat we need to go to a brasserie, it’s a Michelin place and we needed to call and book. The manager repeated several times that it’s a Michelin place. I’m really okay with a fact that a place can be fully booked but I’m definitely not okay being shamed and made feel not good enough to eat there. I will take time and report this to Michelin. What a shame.

A very nice welcome from the staff and led us to a very nice table with comfortable seating Extremely helpful waitress who made excellent recommendations for food and wine I would recommend that you book at least the day before as it gets busy in the evening’s I chose the Belly Pork which was fabulous 👍

We’ve been to La Reserve for a lunch, they have a very nice outside area when there is a good weather. The service from Laura was great, unfortunately we had to wait an hour to get our dishes on the table, and the potatoes gratin was cold almost frozen. Thanks to the Maître D who was very helpful to give us another potatoes gratin and also offered Genepi at the end. Great service, great welcoming but the kitchen should be better.

I have been searching for the best restaurant in Avoriaz, and I just found it. This place is something out of the ordinary, come to think about it: how could some other restaurants in this area even be allowed to be open when this place is around? If I could rate this place more than 5 stars I would. Alex and Ben has been serving us with excellence in every ways. All the way from taking our jackets to describing dishes to choosing suitable wine. All in all: warm and welcoming, professional staff, reasonable pricing and food cooked to perfection. Please make a visit folks! Booking is advised.
Mikael Björkdahl — Google review
Service was good, atmosphere was fine, but the food was extremely bland, poorly executed, and terribly overpriced. The “truffle pizza/tartlette” appetizer was on a doughy store bought pita type bread and each piece had just one small piece of truffle. The buratta was good but the portion was laughable. For mains: the highly recommended lamb confit for 2 tasted more like mutton and there was no flavoring at all; the potato gratin side that came with it was undercooked and not salted at all. The pasta looked pretty but was overcooked and very dry. The pork belly was very small and the cut was mainly all fat, very little meat.
Alex Dargery — Google review
We booked a place in advance for 19:00. Even though we were a group of 9 they divided us into 2 tables 4+5. One of the tables was told that we have only until 20:45.. So that table was rushed and got surved way ahead of our table, so it wasn't synced- and we had to also eat faster in order to "make it". The additude of the hostes was terrible. Toilets were simple and not so clean, you expect more from fancy places. The food was ok, meat dish incredibly expensive (150€) but nice, starters of shrimps and buratta were OK. Duck dish was horrible, and when we said something the staff igronred. Nothing extraordinary. Overall, I felt a worse attitude towards our table since we came with children and I enjoyed this restaurant the LEAST of all the others we visited so far.
Gali Epstein Shochet — Google review
Bottom line - my worst experience in a full week of dinners in Avoriaz, by far. Both on food and especially on service! First of all we had the impression they were a Michelin restaurant - if this is a Michelin restaurant, we can give up on Michelin. However it seems it's a sign from 2020, they didn't get it since, so it's of little meaning beyond misleading customers. We reserved 4 days in advance, on arrival we got 2 separated tables, with one being limited to just an hour and 45 minutes. That table was served with urgency, while ours took a super long time to get food - 2 kids portions (pasta with nothing and pasta with cheese) - took over an hour an a half - we had to ask 2 separate waiters until they got it to us... Entrees - some were good, some were OK. Main courses - we took one special (45 days salted ribs) and a duck based course with truffles - the ribs were nice, kids even took some. The duck was absolutely tasteless, we ate a tiny piece of it and nobody in a group of 9 wanted to touch it. The waiter in a very French way said "must be too much taste for you the truffles", even after I said I love truffles and none of us felt any taste of truffles, it was basically a shepherd's pie with duck at the bottom and barely any taste to the duck meat. Even bathrooms are "pretty" but not maintained at all - bin is obstructed, toilet paper is the cheapest I've seen in any restaurant, here or anywhere. If you insist on going, I recommend the duck foie gras and the Burratta of the entrees, and the lamb. Everything else was super high priced, tasteless, or both. Honestly - no idea how this restaurant has such a score, I would never come back. All of this for a pretty ridiculous price of a "high society" restaurant, as they like to think of themselves.. We came back to the white fountain (Fontaines blanches) to the best dinner we had during our stay..

Restaurant La Crémaillère is a delightful eatery where a group of seven enjoyed a pleasant lunch. They indulged in a variety of dishes, including steaks, tartiflette, and pasta, accompanied by plenty of wine. The staff provided amiable service despite the restaurant being busy. The only minor suggestion was to add hangers on the walls for ski equipment. This top-notch restaurant offers fantastic cuisine at reasonable prices and is located in the beautiful Lindaret village.
Excellent food, great service and a friendly & relaxed atmosphere - and reasonable value too. Our table of four all really enjoyed our lunch. We will definitely recommend and plan to go back.

Le Yeti is an excellent spot to indulge in delicious meals and beverages. The spacious setting offers a wide range of tables suitable for groups of all sizes. It is advisable to make reservations during busy lunchtimes to secure a table. Fortunately, we only had to wait for a short five minutes before being seated. The service provided by the friendly staff was efficient and the hot chocolate was delightful.

Delicious crepes, reasonable prices. It is quite cramped in here as it's busy a lot, be careful as the floor can be slippery when wet and the toilets are down stairs which makes it difficult when wearing ski boots. The restaurant is beautiful although cramped, the food was totally worth the pain of being squished.

Went today , was told off for finding out own table by a maitre de who was nowhere to be seen when we arrived. Then sat for 30 min waiting to be served, when we attracted staffs attention who were wandering around with empty trays they said our waitress would be coming soon .. she was rushed off her feet. We left. So can't review food. V poor service and v disappointed as it had come highly recommended

Great place to stop off for food and drinks. Large area with varying sized tables to suit all sizes of groups. Lunchtime can be busy so, if you know you'll be refuelling make a reservation. We were lucky as we waited 5 minutes before being seated. Good friendly service and the hot chocolate is gorgeous.

Easily accesible restaurant with good quality food and drinks. They regulate the corona rules and are fast with their orders. Surely an adventure to eat here! Its practical and basically anything one wants when taking a break on a ski slope.
Luca Bosman — Google review
Whole experience ruined by horrific service from the manageress who ironically behaved much like a Yeti, terrorising us every 5 minutes throughout our time as apparently 2 of our party having a crepe did not meet the definition of lunch in her view… something she told us 4 times in the proceeding 20 minutes. Just as we couldn’t be made to feel any more welcome she then topped it off by lying to us - suggesting that we had to leave within 15 minutes for another reservation despite the fact that they don’t accept reservations…. In total we spent 30 horrific minutes here and would not return. Food was ok if anyone is bothered.

Les Enfants Terribles Avoriaz is a chic establishment situated in the Hôtel des Dromonts, featuring a dimly lit and vintage atmosphere that showcases refined French cuisine. This exquisite eatery has garnered positive reviews, with patrons praising the exceptional hospitality of the staff and warm welcome extended by the manager. Customers have relished in delectable dishes served with finesse, accompanied by friendly service in an inviting ambience.
Exceptional restaurant, with helpful and friendly service, all set in a building influenced by the architect Le Corbusier in a surrealistic setting.

Hyper disappointed to have eaten here on our last night. The food was awful. Dry steak haché for our child, dry and tasteless fish of the day, a terribly cooked and tasteless Black Angus. A waste of money. The bar downstairs is cool. Pity the restaurant lives up to the terrible in its title.
Claire Mahier — Google review
Started out good but ended with a huge disappointment. The pictures in this page does not at all correspond with the actual dishes served. The combination of over cooked food and high pricing does not feel better after our waitress tell us how the monk fish should taste. The place however is cozy and pork ribs and poached egg was fine.
