The best quality Chinese takeaway I had for years. My wife Lisa and I had on Friday a small takeout and I ordered two days later again. Loved the special fried rice, black bean beef (fantastic beef quality) and duck. It’s not greasy, lots of flavour and still simple. Thank you

Surprisingly good take away. Was able to order with no fuss with a couple of changes I needed ( like fried rice no egg) which other chinese places see as an issue- not here. Great curry sauce and tofu. Yes a tad pricey but good quality

Bland and tasteless. Very expensive for the quality you receive. Chilli beef was soggy and the sauce was just dreadful and watery Beef with green pepper and black bean sauce was one of the worst I have had. Will drive into Nottingham to get a Chinese from now on. Was cooked on time. I really don't like leaving bad reviews but it was that bad it made spring water look like a decent alternative.

Consistently good food. Great value for money and always quick service with accurate orders. If you want a reliable, affordable takeaway, where you know what you want, Bamboo Garden is perfect for this.

I have been eating Chinese in Nottingham for over 35 years now, and this place used to be one of the best. Unfortunately the chefs have changed and the food is lower than average now, and staff are not happy. Prices have risen also. shame, it was good, but these last few years it has sank. winner city is far better.

The worst chinese I've ever eaten. I mistakenly ordered here after forgetting how disappointing it was last time too. Veg spring rolls are tiny empty pastry pockets. Mains were both flavourless (even egg fried rice side). Ingredients like battered tofu are straight from the Asian supermarket - they're dry, mostly air and terrible texture. Didn't finish my meal despite the fact I was really hungry so ate the prawn crackers which were fine. This is not a cheap take away.

Superb takeaway meal. Crispy Aromatic duck & pan fried vegetables are sublime. The staff are super efficient. For eating in, it's small and compact. May be a tad more expensive than others, but it's worth it.

We had a lovely evening here last night- fantastic food and service. The surprise birthday cake because you overhead us toasting a birthday was such a generous thoughtful touch. Would highly recommend. Thank you.

Southwell is blessed with an outstanding Indian restaurant. Doesn't have a big shop front, but food is delicious, freshly cooked, nicely spicey (or not for the children) and served just perfect.. Had a lovely family meal out to mark the end if the school holidays.

Love this place. The menu is varied with some excellent choices under the chef specialities. The service is always friendly and efficient.

We have not been for a couple of years due to the change of ownership. But I have to say the food and service were faultless. We had a table of four and all of us could not fault it. The staff we so friendly and spent quite a bit of time talking to each table, explaining the dishes and making recommendations. 10/10 thank you, we will definitely be back more often!!

When you're a Brummie, you think no Asian food is as good as your hometown. Well tonight in Southwell was the exception. Big up! to the Kashmiri Chef, and to the exceptional customer service from the lads from Nottingham.

Fantastic food, always consistent. Very friendly service, love the free poppadoms. Visiting again next week with friends, keep it up!

Had Sunday lunch here on Easter Sunday. The lamb roast was magnificent - proper crisp roast potatoes, home made Yorkshire puddings, tasty gravy, cabbage carrots and tasty mash and the lamb was so tender. Amazing portions. What made it extra special was the waitresses who were both efficient in serving us and were smiley faced at all times - nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend this fine pub. We will certainly be calling again.

This pub has a good choice of food and drink. I suppose, more importantly, you get a very friendly welcome and proper old fashioned service. They made me a superb BLT sandwich whilst the kitchen was closed!!! Very kind. Visit this pub, the whole experience is the tops!.....I only write reviews in exceptional circumstances..... Enjoy

What a find! Delicious food and really lovely genuine service...Will definitely return.

All five of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I found the gammon cooked to perfection and very tasty. My wife is a vegetarian and she enjoyed her meal as well. All the meals were served on hot plates and portion sizes were just right. The staff were friendly and efficient. A most enjoyable experience.

Sunday lunch after the races. Nice cut of beef and a shoulder of lamb accompanied by a nicely cooked, albeit skimpy portion of vegetables. Pub was quiet and we were tabled in the front room which wasn't really a restaurant, more of a pub table. There is a restaurant area at the back which looked quite cosy. The beer garden looks great for the summer, and generally the service was tight and pleasant from attentive service staff. Price wasn't too bad either. 3 pots of tea. 3 Sunday dinners. 1 Cauliflower cheese (tiny portion). 1 dessert. £52 Sat next to a log burner in the middle of January. It wasn't lit. 🥶

I do leave positive reviews also, but unfortunately this isn't going to be one. The menus were messy and scruffy, which didn't feel clean or nice, and was in stark contrast to the cost of the burger I selected. The drinks we ordered needed to be ordered again as they were not brought out until after the meal was delivered. The chicken burger, that should have come with 'salad with dressing' was actually a few leaves within the bun. When I queried this they said other diners had asked this previously, but there is no separate salad for this burger. The fries were just normal oven chips (but finished off in a fryer I'm guessingl) so that wasn't worthy of the price either. I wouldn't recommend coming here for a chicken burger. Sorry

Went for a Sunday lunch with family; traditional roast beef lunch was delightful! Service was excellent even though they were very busy; staff were particularly welcoming, polite and professional. Really good pub with a great atmosphere and outdoors areas suitable for the whole family. Great value as well considering the overall high quality. Highly recommend.

Had food today, brilliant service, hot tasty food and incredibly welcoming. Will 100% be back for more!

We visited tonight and tried the white bait for starters and the steak & ale pie and mash, with chips instead of mash. The pie was fantastic, generous portion for a reasonable price. The beers on tap are excellent including Guinness and Everard's Tiger, a Leicester brewery. A really magnificent evening in a fabulous local establishment. Very highly recommended for 2024 😄

Had a lovely lunch here today, recently redecorated, and food the best I’ve had here, lovely staff. This place should be packed full! Huge garden for the summer, but lovely log burners inside, and covered outdoor area with heaters, for when it’s not. Definitely worth a visit, or revisit if you’ve not been for a long time

Another great pop-in today. This time for an Americano and a Cappuccino, plus delicious toffee cake and one of cornflakes. Great food and friendly service. Always a nice place to stop while visiting Mum. Now off to Mexico with more great memories of Southwell. Many thanks to the team at Mosedale's.

My wife and I ordered a mozzarella panini with spinach.....sorry to say it was tasteless.Maybe add some mayonnaise or better still a hint of pesto in the future.

Greeted and served today by a lovely, friendly young girl. Coffee was lovely, cake very dry. On leaving I asked a mature lady who was serving if there’s was a toilet I could use and I was given a short, sharp and rather rude NO ! I shall not be visiting again and would suggest the older lady learn some customer service skills from the young lady.

I had the best panini here that I have ever tasted. The place is small but well worth waiting for a table. I think they do take-away as well. They bake their own paninis which are really delicious with lots of filling. Will definitely be going again

During a 3-night break in Southwell recently, I chanced upon Mosedales for a morning cappuccino treat. The delicious Illy coffee and friendly staff and customers ensured I returned the following day for another dose of happiness! A great dog-friendly establishment, which I hope to return to when I am next in the town. Thank you to all concerned.

Went to the cafe yesterday to order lunch to takeaway, the older lady who was serving was very rude and abrupt. She wasn't helpful at all and really ruined the whole experience of what could be a lovely cafe.

A very small shop, but excellent food, good value and excellent service. Coffee was very good, and the panini fully loaded and tasty - nice to see fresh bread on offer too.

The staff all looked like they’d rather be in the oven, pizza was dry as sand and yet there’s more grease than a retail workers hair.

Service can be a little slow so best to order beforehand over the phone, but the food is top notch 10/10 for quality & flavour. Pizza is the best I've tasted & the burgers are top restaurant quality, worth every penny!

We asked Scoozi to cater for 100 people for an evening of our Annual Conference at NTU’s Brackenhurst campus. Two carfuls of pizzas and salads arrived perfectly on time and with a smile. The food was all delicious and fresh - including the vegan pizza options. Salads were gorgeous. A gem of a restaurant.

Great Italian food from a local restaurant and takeaway. It's only open in the late afternoon and evening although you can order takeaway from the website any time. Booking to eat in is easy and although smallish they will try their best to get you in. Although book ahead, especially for weekends and after school as its very popular. If you are doing take-away then the website is really easy to use and select a collection time. Everything on the menu is available for take away and tastes delicious. You can also pretty much design your own pizza as well if you want. Portions are decent sized but not American if you follow my meaning, so whilst full, you shouldn't feel like you are about to explode - unless you like feeling uncomfortable. In which case have another dough ball and put jogging back on your new year's resolution list. And lastly, if you are dining in, then leave room for the chocolate fudge cake if you can. 😋

I had a very poor experience here when I came to eat with two friends. On their website it specifies that they offer gluten free pizza bases but upon arrival I noticed this wasn't on their menu. I asked a member of staff if they still served this and they told me they didn't due to risk of cross contamination, I asked if there was anything else they could offer me to eat and I was told there was nothing at all that I could eat there! I'm very disappointed that not a single thing could be offered, even more disappointed that their website gives incorrect information and this could easily happen to someone else.

Great pizza, really reminds me of the pizza I eat when I'm skiing in Italy. Great staff, great service.

Greeted with a warm welcome. Pizza looked and tasted great. Chicken burgers uninspiring and served with raw red onion which was the dominant taste left in your mouth. Would certainly go back but next time it will be for pizza.

First visit to this pizza restaurant for my husband and Myself last week. The overall service was very good, however we were both very disappointed we were the way our pizzas were cooked!! The pizza base was a very doughy and undercooked. The onion and green pepper topping was completely undercooked. Both of us had indigestion and would not recommend this restaurant or go back again :-( Price ££££ very over priced!!
