We recently took a trip to Sicily and had the pleasure of dining at Il Covo Marino, an extraordinary restaurant. The mixed starter antipasto was impressive in terms of both quality and variety, while the portions of seafood spaghetti were exceptionally generous. The wine selection was excellent, and we highly recommend trying the exceptional olive oil provided on each table. The service we received was outstanding, with professional and knowledgeable staff who went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience.
Fantastic food and service. While we where waiting outside the restaurant for a table, we had not made a reservation, they came to offer us a free glass of white wine.

A very bad experience at this restaurant. Asking for ice cubes in drinks they say dont have. Waiters are very rude that literally throwing food on the table. Only one bowl bread for a table of 9 persons, when we asked for some more they said it finished. After 2 hours waiting for food it cames very untasty. It looked that it was coocked twice as you can see in the pic. Also clamari and chips was cooked in same oil as chips was with calamari and other fish taste. If you are looking for good food, try to avoid this restaurant at all cost. Its not worth it.

We’re currently doing a round trip around Sicily and we happened to stop at this truly amazing restaurant. We were beyond shocked with the quality and variety of the mixed starter antipasto and the very generous portions of seafood spaghetti. Excellent wine and we must say, the olive oil that is available on the table is a MUST try (it’s too good to be true). The service was beyond exceptional and we were provided with professional and genuine expertise. Could not recommend this place anymore! You really have to stop by this restaurant if you get a chance! Thanks again Covo Marino for your truly amazing service!!

A really great place where to have a fantastic lunch. Food is EXTREMELY GOOD. Prices are absolutely reasonable for the level of freshness quality and flavours. The view is beautiful. The personnel is very well mannered and very prepared to explain every single dish. Wine wise I would recommend Catarratto from Tenuta Zero. Composition of the plates go along with their tastes. Have a look at the photos

I don't have a clue why this restaurant gets negative reviews.... it's above my comprehension. The food was great and people were really nice. Two mixed antipasti, two pastas with sea urchin and one with shrimps, grilled veggies, two mixed fried, one grilled sword fish, one bottle of wine, three of water and 4 coffees were 115€.

Nice restaurant in Acitrezza. They allowed me to reserve a table for 12 people, mostly of them were not Italian. Menù in English were available, and the staff was very well prepared and fluent in speaking English when recommending and serving dishes. I give 4 stars as it was expensive, we were expecting a bit cheaper bill, but beside that (acceptable, afterall) it was a wonderful experience and, most of all, fish was very fresh and perfectly cooked.

Antipasti were very good. The only food which I would recommend eating here. The linguini with tuna were more like linguini with oil. Tuna was not really there. The other dishes where either small or not nice. Would go here again but ONLY for the antipasti. The rest is mediocre to not eatable. (See pictures)

Seafood restaurant
Il Moro di Trezza, located in Acitrezza, Sicily, is a small yet impressive restaurant that offers a diverse range of delectable dishes. Specializing in Italian cuisine with a focus on seafood and Mediterranean flavors, this eatery also offers European and Southern-Italian options like barbecue and soups. Whether you're looking for lunch or dinner, Il Moro di Trezza has got you covered.
Small place, BIG & DELICIOUS kitchen. We love fresh fish and never looked up the menu. Instead, we listened to the smiling owner explaining their specialties and gladly took his offer. 8 different plates of antipasto followed by three different pasta dishes and ending with a fresh baked fish. The only regret was that we had no more space for the dessert. Reasonable priced and will definitely return.

It seems a family running business which is very nice , the food is relatively good and service is very good.

Food more than average, tasteless, even the Caprese isn’t prepared with tasty tomatoes and mozzarella. Non English speaking service
Cedric Voix — Google review
The Food we were served was not quality seafood. The octopus was tough and undercooked, the lobster was tough because it was overcooked. They forgot to bring the grilled vegetables that we ordered and the bill was out of proportion.

Smaill restaurant in front of the harbor. Good view to the see and rocks. Food was delicious.

Fantastic food, the ink spaghetti were amazing and could be served in any fancy restaurant in Melbourne, Berlin or New York. I think the fish was so fresh, it was still trying to swim away.
Caroline Wagner — Google review
Be careful!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a scam! We were encouraged by the waiter to order fresh fish that isn't in the menu. When we asked for the price he pretended not to understand English. The food was good but we were shocked when we got the bill! The price of the fish was disproportionally high. There are a lot of good restaurants in this area, don't go to this one.
Mika — Google review
The food is really bad. Grilled vegetables were old and feels like sitting there for ages. The fish supposed to be fresh but taste like defrosted grilled fish . They didn’t even bother to prepare a simple salad. Extremely unhappy with their service. It doesn’t surprise me if they mix leftovers from other customers and sell it as fresh to the next customer. Don’t waste your money here.
Petra Keller — Google review
I would not recommend this restaurant if you aim to eat fresh fish food. However, it is less expensive than those restaurants serving real fresh fish food. So, if you want to spare some bucks but you are not expecting much, you can try your luck in this place.
Giuseppe Pellicane — Google review
Just had lunch here. The bread tasted two days old. The fish platter was really bad, all parts were super dry and. definitely not fresh. When we mentioned it to the waiter after, they just ignored it and brought us the bill. Dont eat here.

We visited with our cousins from Reggio Calabria. They love this place and it didn't disappoint! We let the waiter order for us and were extremely happy with the food and the delicious deserts!

Superbly fresh and high quality fish and seafood, expertly cooked. I was born in Catania and have eaten in lots of fish restaurants around here, but I believe this to be the best. Friendly and professional service and an excellent wine suggested by our waiter. The prices may be higher than average but the quality here is far above the competition..

Come here by recommendation. I order the catch of the day for 60 euro for kg. By the end we paid 150 euro, waiter couldn’t explain why (poor knowledge of English). The seafood was really bad. Don’t recommend this place, the stuff of the restaurant if see you’re the tourist try to cheat you

Had lunch here on 5 April 2022. Was apprehensive at first as we came in early for lunch. We picked the seafood crudo (raw) and griliata (grilled). Both were very good.

Restaurant
Le Muse Ristorante Pizzeria offers a pleasant setting with an attractive seaside location. While the cuisine is average, guests can enjoy a magnificent ocean view if they make reservations in advance. The prices may be slightly higher, but this is subjective to personal taste preferences. The staff is amiable and the restroom is kept clean, which is definitely a positive aspect. Overall, it comes recommended as a restaurant that not only provides excellent food and friendly service but also boasts a beautiful panorama.
Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Aci Trezza. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in our mouths. Absolutely the best. Highly recommend and heads up to the waiter Gianluca!! Looking forward for our next visit!

Nice Location, Average Food. Great sea view for those who book in advance. Prices are a bit higher versus food taste but i guess it depends. Friendly staff. Clean bathroom which is actually a huge plus. Would recommend! 😁

Nice ambiance but be careful what you order. Avoid the calzone at all costs. It’s just a brick of mozzarella, and not in a good way. Two of us ordered it and we both left in great pain after eating only half. The spaghetti alle vongole was just passable. The house white wine was likewise not great. The fried mixed seafood was pretty good, as were the grilled vegetables. The penne alla norma was the best dish we tried: al dente if quite salty (but I’m a salt fiend and like that). Other people’s pizzas looked good, too.

Food was great, staff very helpful and beautiful atmosphere, but be careful were you par. We parked the car on the platform by the sea, exactly under the restaurant and found a parking ticket. So this spoilt a bit our experience. Otherwise the restaurant is great.

Terrible! No Service and especially it tasted disgusting, Carbonara without cheese, only egg and rear bacon. The first course was completely forgotten, as was the water. Still, we should pay for both.

Excellent food, good wine. The dining room is over the small harbour offering a nice view of "I Ciclopi" (The Cyclops, small conic islands not far from the shore). Pizzas are also available.

The restaurant boasts stunning vistas of the Ionian Sea and the Norman Castle across it. Whether dining indoors with air conditioning or outdoors on the terrace or near the pool, guests can expect pleasant and high-quality service.
Really nice place with a big terrace where you have amazing views. The staff was nice, they were quite fast serving the food. They have a bit menu with several options. Howewer not so many vegetarian or vegans. The coctels are very good and the size of the dishes also quite big. The quality of the food is not the best but it is good enough.

€18 for a local beer and basic cocktail. Have given a 1 star review as we're staying at the hotel next door and the ridiculously loud music played all day is then played even louder in the evening until after midnight and is spoiling our holiday! Have some consideration, this isn't Ibiza!

Good food and nice view, but got a sandy table, English menu after asking 2 times, table empty after I went to the toilet, waited over 10 mins on the empty table to get the bill and to top up when I paid in cash, the waiter gave me 4 euro less. I understand they expect tipping but unless it is mentioned officially somewhere, it is still something voluntary. I think I should have "bombed" them with such chaotic service.

Lovely place to sit and have lunch and watch the people walking past and playing in the sea. Perfect views out into the Ionian Sea and across to the Norman Castle. Comfortable and upmarket service in the air conditioned restaurant or out on the terrace (or by the pool) would make you think this would be an expensive place to eat, but, not so at all. A very reasonable price for lunch of Salmon salad and a beer. I have to say I loved this place it was relaxed but beautiful and the portions were large and tasty

I don't understand the other reviews 🤔 ☆ Impeccable service. The food is excellent, all of a high-quality (for those who understand it). Many don't understand what it's like to work in this environment. We are good at talking, expressing negative opinions towards another person (a normal thing). You have to do this job for 1 week in full summer season +40°C so you can understand the people working in this area. 🤐 Thank you 😊 Have a nice day, everyone 💯

A very shameful and disgusting service! And snobbish! Would not recommend the place to anyone. The only good thing is the location, nothing else. Went there yesterday with a friend, after a full day tour of beautiful Catania and Etna. We wanted to have a nice light dinner, and I chose the place by its nice look without reading the reviews. My mistake… Firstly, the reception was not very friendly. At the entrance, which is closed out with a tape, the waiter (who seems to be a head waiter) snapped that unless we have a reservation we can take a table only inside, although there were plenty empty places on a terrace. As soon as we sat down the waitress asked if we were ready to order, even before we could scan a QR code for a menu (no printed menu in sight). Apart from food, I ordered a Limonata, which from a picture in the menu was supposed to be the usual bottled very tasty Sicilian lemonade, but instead got a 0.33 L Schweppes with lemon taste, without any explanation… While waiting for our food, other people came, with no reservation, but for some reason now the head waiter had a place on a terrace for them, but again not for us. Coming down from Etna tour we were not dressed for a Gala obviously, however still dressed too good for that place. Anyway… The toilet not too clean and hand soap ran out. The food that arrived was just OK, but not ok for the price we paid. But the last part was just shocking. We asked for the bill, noting a payment by card. The answer we got was that we have to go ourselves to the cash counter because the card reader could not be brought to the table ))) 🤷🏻‍♀️ once we paid at the counter and were just too ready to leave, we encountered again an exit blocked with a tape and asked if someone could open it for us. In response a waiter started waiving hand in discontent, very rudely, murmuring and indicating that we should have just done it by ourselves without disturbing them 😂🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ What a service, Mamma mia! I’ve never seen such a disgusting service anywhere! Let alone in Italy where the service is always top. Just don’t go there unless you wanna waste precious hours in this snobbish and rude environment.

You pay for the view. I'm not mega about the place but it's fine if you want a table with a nice view. 2 courses small servings and 2 drinks =90 euros which is 30 euros more than normal for the area. The menu isn't very extensive and I basically had pasta norma and cous cous, same for my partner.
