PINION Bistro, owned by renowned chef and restaurant entrepreneur Gary Usher, is an exceptional addition to Eccleston Street. Second time at Pinion, almost ten visits to this group. The food was, as always, fantastic and the service was unobtrusive yet friendly. Only downside was the cold blast that came each time the street door opened but I don't know how this could be addressed. This would not put me off another visit, the food is too good.

We have just had a lovely lunch in one of our favourite places. The updated menu made choosing a deliciously difficult decision. Nothing was too much trouble for our fabulous host James; from letting us taste the wine recommendation to gifting us an extra yorkshire pudding. It was superb service with a smile and a smattering of sassy humour. We highly recommend a (return) visit as soon as possible. Keep up the splendid work James and the backroom boys. We literally love what you do. Thank you Drew, Miranda, Joan and Kathryn xx

Our first visit ( sat eve) and the restaurant was busy at 7.45 and probably full before we left, lots of praise for the waiter very professional, pleasant and overworked me thinks, we were seated close too the window and was feeling a chill for a while until some heating came on. the menu isn't huge but my partner and I ordered prawn cocktail starters , the beef cutlet and peri peri chicken for mains and my partner had a very small desert ( a type of cheesecake) after our starter arrived there was quite a wait for the main's to arrive but it was a busy evening.... I've given 3 stars for my chicken dish as it was basically a seasoning shake/ rub on the skin and none of the flavoring had reached the chicken below ( which was perfectly cooked ) the fries were tasty but I was basically eating just 'chicken & chips' My partners beef was tender ( but small as was the prawn cocktails ) and she enjoyed it alongside the rustic wedges ( but no vegatable's with either dish) I had a small bottle of lager and 2 glasses of rose wine for the lady and the bill includes an unexpected 8% service charge which didn't impress me to be honest so our bill was £92.50, I'm sure many people would be fine with that but I found it a tad over the top for the food we had.....

We had a really nice evening the food was very nice and the staff very attentive not over zealous bothering you. Enjoyed the food. Down side a theif in the room.My brothers coat was stolen off the back of his chair shameful. We have an idea who it was the staff responded very quickly, police are involved just waiting on the CCTV and it can be sorted.

We celebrated our anniversary at Pinion last night and so happy we decided to dine locally rather than usually travelling to Manchester or Liverpool. The food and service was absolutely amazing, I can’t wait to go back there again. Thank you for the wonderful food and exceptional hospitality….see you soon!

My review is based on the food. The front of house service was excellent. However, the food was very very poor, the starter of the black pudding was adequate but tasted deep fried and the texture was not brilliant, the main was even worse, the chicken thighs were so over cooked they were basically dry and inedible, the coating was far to crisp, Kentucky is much better, I left mostly all my main and the fries were just the frozen type. Unfortunately I couldn't give a higher food review as it's some of the worst I've tasted, very disappointing and can't see me returning anytime soon.

Came here as a birthday present for my partner and we only wish we had paid a visit sooner!! The food was piping hot and so tasty!! Great service and a lovely atmosphere…definitely coming back for another visit!!

Very disappointed, was really looking forward to going here, but for a Friday night there was no atmosphere in there at all, OK 6pm is farely early but still only 4 tables filled. The food tasted lovely, presentation was amazing, but there was too much for such rich food. In my opinion this place would do alot better and attract more custom if they reduced the portions and in turn reduce the high prices, as for the area it is really high and I think unfortunately they are out pricing themselves. Its not town its Prescot. Also unfortunately because of this you are not faced with a good view from the window, I would put a display of some kind to cover the horrible view. Regardless of this, the staff where faultless, in fact they where brilliant.

Beautiful food, amazing experience. A big shout out to James the waiter, informed us that he was the only one on and could be a delay in getting food, very professional attitude. His banter and hosting made a nice night out for my wife birthday. I have lived in Prescot for most of my childhood and growing up and glad to see a place like this in the town. First time experience since I've moved the wait did not disappoint. Keep up the amazing work

Back in my home town for a short visit, finally had the opportunity to try out Pinion for a quick bite at lunch. Dropped in on spec and was fortunate enough as a lone diner to have a table free, was immediately at ease due to the super friendly but also professional service. Chose to go straight for the main and had a butter roasted pork rib eye, gambling that it wouldn't be overcooked and dry but needn't have worried it was succullent and tasty, one of the best pieces of pork I'd had for some time. Accompanied with a light hash brown, perfectly cooked poached egg on top and a zingy pineapple and chilli chutney, I accompanied it with a side of seasonally spiced red cabbage which finished it all off perfectly. Overall more than lived up to what I'd hoped Gary and the team would deliver - will be bringing my wife back next time!

Friends took me here for my birthday and we all enjoyed immensely. Ideal sized portions and one of the few times I've bothered with a full three courses in a restaurant. Had the plaice as my main which was fantastic, friends had braised beef which was so delicious and rich. Honey roasted carrots were delightful. Only two minor quibbles was it was a little too hot inside and service was a little bit slow (though really friendly) but still five star since it is new and they're finding their feet. Will certainly return. Have now returned for Sunday lunch, sublime. I had pork chop which was cooked to perfection, they had beef which was perfectly pink. And at £20 for two courses on Sunday they really can't be beat. Oh and the pigs head croquettes are to die for!

I've heard great reviews about this small establishment and decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did because their station breakfast was excellent in terms of quality. Each item was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. The eggs Benedict with ham hock were also of top-notch quality, as the ham wasn't overly salty and had a tender texture. Additionally, the freshly ground coffee had a wonderfully fresh and flavorful taste.
Consistently good. Always a friendly welcome and great service. Food is exceptional, full of flavour and totally different to other offers locally. You must have a side of chips!

Heard Great things about this place, I wasn't disappointed! Food took a while to arrive but was well worth it, nice atmosphere and lovely inside! Portiins were decent size too. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Absolutely gorgeous every time! Come here often for breakfast but today was so good I thought id take a pic and leave a review! I had the whipped feta on sourdough 😍 so good! Fresh, quality ingredients and good value! I paid approx £10 for an outstanding meal and a pot of tea! ☕️

Been hearing good things about this little place so decided to try and I'm glad I did. Ordered the station breakfast and it was a top quality breakfast. Every item was cooked perfect and tasted amazing. The eggs Benedict with ham hock was also top class . The ham wasn't salty and flaked apart tender. And the coffee was freshly ground and tasted so fresh and tasty . The hot chocolate was not too sweet and didn't taste artificial just super creamy and comfy. The caramel and apple cake was amazing also. Try this place out and support you local business as worth every penny. Ps took a sausage roll for after and it was the best one around, if you remember rays the baker sausage rolls well very similar but bigger and meatier and not as salty . Boss with brown sauce.

One of the best breakfasts I had in the NW. Very good coffee too! The service and atmosphere the same. The only disadvantage - it is over half an hour drive for me to get there 🤣

Stunning food, nice rustic setting, I can't rate this place any more highly, and wholeheartedly recommend it. I can't wait for the longer opening hours and bistro nights ! Update: Saturday nights now bring us global themed food nights, with spectacular menus based on a locale, such as Texas themed, British menu (through the ages, from paleolithic to the Victorian era), and Smoke and Fire (with BBQ classics). We've done Valentine's meals, Christmas dinner, family roasts, you really can't go wrong ! If you missed the South Carolina night, you missed a real feast ! Update November 2023: Still amazing Update March 2024: Still winning multiple awards, what are you waiting for ?

Nice little cafe at Prescot train station. Open until 3pm for food orders and 4pm for just cake and coffee. Coffee is hot and the cake, a plumb crumble, is fresh. Perfect for a mid afternoon snack! Service is friendly and it's cosy inside. We sat outside as the tables were messy inside and its not raining.

Great location at Prescot train station and more space than I expected with outdoor and upstairs seating. Staff were friendly, food came quickly and the veggie breakfasts were lovely. Some more options on the menu would be ace, especially for veggies and vegans. Loved the tea, looking forward to try more of their loose leaf teas!

Lovely little lunch with my daughter. Didn't know this place was here but glad we came. Lovely coffee and good food, I can recommend the cappuccino and the ham hock bennie. My daughter's food look good and went down a treat. Special mention for the sausage rolls which are worth the journey themselves, couldn't resist trying one and it was fab. We were the only people in at one point but soon filled up a bit. Good to support a local restaurant and will be back again soon 👍

The Imaginarium Bistro, situated at the Metropolitan Cathedral Steps in Mount Pleasant, Liverpool L3 5TQ, is a unique and intriguing establishment. Despite its unusual appearance, this hidden gem offers a warm and inviting atmosphere. The friendly staff make every guest feel welcomed, even accommodating those with young children. Although the menu may appear limited at first glance, everyone can find something to be excited about as the food is of excellent quality.
We held a private party at the gorgeous Imaginarium Roundhouse and it is the perfect venue. Right in the heart of Prescot, bubbling with character and rich history of the theatre company which shares its name, you could spend a whole evening just looking at the pictures alone! Robyn was so helpful during the booking and evening and all the staff went out of there way to make sure we had everything we needed including our own music. We had a buffet which was a tasty curry with selection of other treats and they even catered for all our dietary requirements too. Excellent evening, exactly what we needed and highly recommend. Thank you so much to Robyn and team

A hidden gem. Within cricket 🏏 ball throwing distance of The Shakespeare North. Didn't know how close it was until a staff member asked if we were attending the theatre. So they could prompt us 5 minutes beforehand . Very professional and courteous. The food was delicious and plentiful. Staff attentive and polite. The bistro is surrounded by ample parking paid for via the NCP app.Looking forward to my next visit. My only criticism would be that it did not open during the day for coffee. Prices are much cheaper than most coffee shops. Please put pizza on the menu. Food of the gods and children alike!

Wouldn’t recommend visiting. Food looks lovely online (and probably tastes it), Sadly we didn’t get the chance to try any of it as my experience was shortly turned sour. We booked online for a midweek offer they had been promoting, after having a drink, a lovely young girl took our order, we made the waitress aware that we was making use of the aforementioned offer while ordering our food, this was fine we was told. Fifteen minutes go by and the waitress comes back to us proclaiming that we now cannot use this offer as we have not put a certain code in our booking reference - which was firstly not mentioned on their social media where I saw the offer (see attached image) and secondly they had no problem letting us all order our food in the first place. We admitted that we didn’t know anything about this reference, I politely asked to have a word with the manager, I explained the situation to her and asked the obvious question of can we not just book another table for now with this reference code and she basically said no, as we have already booked our table ( the restaurant was completely empty to add, us being the only people in there) surely some custom is better than none? If the manager would have at-least tried to show some sincerity or even a simple apology for THEIR mistake, we would have happily paid full price for the meal but the manner we was spoken to was totally demeaning and at this point we we had been put off dining in there. With no attempt to resolve the situation the manager walked away, shortly after, the bill for our drinks was put on our table (despite still having 3/4 of a drink still) and coincidentally the music was abruptly turned off- the atmosphere instantly went from bad to worse. Safe to say I won’t be returning anytime soon due to the appalling customer service.

What a little gem! Staff were lovely & made us feel very welcome; even with a grumpy 10month old. Menu seemed a bit small however we all found meals that we were excited about and the food was excellent. Deserts were generous too and reasonably priced cocktail 241 deal is always appreciated! Highlight personally is the decor and staff. Looking forward to visiting again

Bit of a strange experience for our visit but an ultimately honest one. Booked as was advertised as a kid friendly play day with soft play set up. This was perfect as we visited with our children. Arrived earlier than our booking and the waitress was brilliantly accomodating to get us sat down quickly and was continually attentive. Starts were of a top quality, extremely tasty and well priced. Things went south however when it came to the main courses. We were offered the "special" to which we ordered 3 of. The main courses arrived minus 1 special also with a kids portion of one of the mains the adults ordered. (This was a kitchen mixup acknowledged by the waitress and rectified quickly) 20 minutes passed and the 1 special that was missing had still not arrived so we asked the waitress, just to be told 10 minutes later "oh the chef said we had 3 at the time but got none left now" Understandably frustrated we asked to speak to the manager. 20 minutes passed, all the adults had finished their mains, yet still no response from the manager. A member of the party went in to find the manager. The manageress on duty was also caring for her child and immediately went on the defensive asking "what do you want us to do?" We tried to understand the mistake and accepted the offer of a "free main" for the inconvenience. The replacement main came, albeit nearly 50 minutes since the rest of the main courses, but had no fork to which the waiter said he would bring. By the time the fork arrived, the steak was cold. We, well within our rights, sent this back to the kitchen but was received with a very snotty response from the chef of "well it was warm when I sent it out" Following this the bill was sent to us and we requested the card machine. Before the card machine arrived, we were met by the "owner" along with the manageress, holding her child, aggressively confronting us regarding a review that one of our party, quite rightfully, left. In front of our children we were instructed to leave the premises despite us stating we had not paid yet. We were humiliated in front of other customers, in front of our young children, and with zero consideration of accountability taken for what was a clear disaster in the kitchen/communication department. It's a real shame as the food we had was really nice, the service prior to this was really good and the premises are really nice. To be aggressively confronted by an owner or manager of a business however in that way is both totally unacceptable and totally unprofessional. I manage business myself and at times I need to hold up my hands and admit I need to be accountable for the actions of the business. This was not the case on this occasion. The lack of responsibility taken was horrendous. I must note that the waitresses on duty, the supervisor (young lad), the lady I'm charge prior to 3pm were all brilliant. This review is solely aimed at the management, the owner and the chef on shift.

Staff were lovely but that's where the positives end I'm afraid. Wasn't aware when we booked a table that we'd be sat in a tent outside but apparently you can ask for a table inside although that didn't appear to be an option when we went. Service was slow, very slow. Starters were ok but pretty bland. Sirloin steak was like a shoe despite asking for it medium rare and the lasagne was pretty uninspiring. Thought about complaining but to be honest just wanted to leave and forget about it. Won't be going back.

Attended a friend’s 50th birthday party in the tent adjacent to the restaurant. Having a fabulous time, (all women ) Dancing, enjoying ourselves, but when we received the buffet it was not as expected for £12.50 pp. when a couple of girls mentioned this to the staff during the evening about the buffet not being good and it was met with aggressive outbursts. Then 10-15 minutes before we were due to finish at 10pm the owner appeared shouting and saying to switch the music off being aggressive for no apparent reason. Also in attendance was a number of police cars of which the owner had called them as to which was totally unnecessary, even the police said so. Don’t know what the owner’s problem was as no trouble was caused just a lots of ladies having fun a celebrating a birthday. Be very careful if you are thinking of booking this venue and spend your money there, it is not worth it. 5 stars for the atmosphere made by us in the party not for the place or staff.

We may have picked a bad day to book as they were very busy.. however...It took over 30 minutes for our drink order to arrive. After 45 minutes we gave up and had to ask someone to take our food order. When the starters that arrived they were all excellent though. 1 hour 30 after we were supposed to sit down someone came to tell us that one of the main courses our group had picked was no longer available. 5 mins later they came back to say that there second choice was no available. When the main course arrived they were pretty good, the chicken on the chicken burger was very tasty, just not enough things with it on the bun. It felt a bit unloved. Desserts were a disappointment. My profiteroles were stale (one was actually crunchy) and the cream with it came tasted odd. Full marks to one of the waiters who kept us entertained by force of personality and banter. On a quieter day I suspect we would have had a different experience, the food was pretty good in places. Waiting on staff need training, they generally had no idea what was going on.

After taking a recommendation from an Instagram blogger I decided to select this place for a birthday meal for my daughters second birthday, this was the perfect place as the soft play and dine option would be such a great idea for my child to have fun whilst being in sight. Service was quite slow having waited over 45 minutes for food but we give the benefit of the doubt. After receiving food the atmosphere in the resturant was ruined and I am absolutely disgusted as to what happened last night. A table next to us had a negative dining experience which they have left on the review of there own however after they left a review the manager and the owner ran (flew) at there table screaming in there faces and shouting at them to leave and they didn’t need there money despite the table spending over £250. The whole thing was very near looking to end up in a physical altercation, bare in mind my child and nephew was there and so many other families were dining. This completey ruined our night, it left our children and family shaking. Whilst this was happening the manager was also standing arguing with a baby on her hip Some of the staff literally quit and left on the spot. Meaning on Instagram today the bistro was closed. The whole experience was so poor, you really wouldn’t expect to see this behaviour at a local pub never mind a upmarket bistro. Never have I ever witnessed behaviour from an owner, manager or staff. You really should be embarrassed at your behaviour and ability to handle challenging situations. I had such high hopes of this place and we were all really looking forward to coming to experience however I will never put my daughter or family in a vile situation again.

Started out a lovely day! Ordered starters and let the kids have a play. Kids food come and the nuggets tasted of pepper! Then a few hours later we ordered our mains. 3 specials a burger and a pasta dish. 2 specials, the burger and a pasta dish come out. The pasta dish was a children's portion (which was recifified immediately (amazing) but the last special didn't arrive and no mention of it. We asked about 20 minutes later (when we seen a waitress/waiter) to which we were told oh yes I will check. Come back about 10 minutes later (as the whole table had finished their meals) to advise they had no specials left! So meanwhile everyone had finished their meals, I had no meal and got told what do you want me to do about it by the manager! The manager was absolutely disgraceful, her attitude was unbelievable and she should not have a business if she cannot take accountability for their actions! I then ordered a steak medium (as the manager said I can do this for free) and it come stone cold and more rare than medium. So we took this back to be told by the chef, "i sent this out 10 minutes ago so not my problem!" So I had no meal what so ever as I went passed hungry by then! We put a review on before we left (after we asked for the bill) to be confronted by the manager, the owner and the chef screaming in our faces about the review! We had young kids with us and had been there since 2pm and we had been nothing but understanding to waits etc but to be confronted with such anger was a disgrace! We was told to leave and not pay but just to get out, which we did as our children had gotten upset but the situation! Looking at previous reviews on how others have had a bad time at the restaurant and how management had handled the situation, was our experience! Will not been returning at all. Disgraceful!

If I could pick no stars I would. Never experienced anything like the appalling behaviour of the owners at a surprise 50th Birthday last Saturday. Arrived to no wine glasses and was told it was because 70 people had descended on them (don't think so it had been pre-booked a long time ago!) Happy to let that go until the buffet arrived. To charge £700 for what was provided was a disgrace and what was even more of a disgrace was how the manager reacted when challenged. Our friend who had arranged it all was so upset but paid the bill regardless. The party carried on and the manager happily kept taking our money for drinks. They made an absolute fortune on what they were charging. Then 10 minutes before the end the owner turned up, stopped the music and starting screaming at everyone to get out. Next thing blue lights were everywhere as 4 police cars turned up!! The police expected a mass brawl and instead were faced with women flabbergasted at what had just happened. The police were just as surprised. The only aggressive person there was the owner!! Apparently we had been rude and abusive, but not abusive enough obviously as they kept taking our money right up until the end of the night when conveniently the owner decided to call the police. What an absolute waste of police time. The owner and manager should be absolutely ashamed of themselves and I feel so sorry for the young staff that work for them. I have read a similar review since about the owner's behaviour. Obviously hospitality is not the right job for her. My advice avoid this place like the plague!
suzanne morrissey — Google review
I attended the venue as part of a group attending a friend's 50th birthday. The excitement building up to the event was amazing and the planning that went into the night was impeccable. Everything was agreed with the owners before hand and wow how they did not deliver!!! I was charged £26 for a bottle of prosecco and my friend was charged £22. I mentioned this in my next visit to the bar, 1 person on the bar for 70 people!!! - and this was rectified - not sure if this happened to anyone else. I have eaten here so many times and was looking forward to the buffet - what a disappointment. I paid £12.50 for 2 cheese triangle sandwiches, chips and chopped tomatoes, despite the organiser being informed there would veggie options!! Then when the quality of the buffet was challenged the manager was so unprofessional and became totally defensive. This is not the first time she has done this reading other reviews Then to top the night off the owner called the police saying 70 women were fighting and 4 police cars came. There was nothing but good vibes, singing and dancing in a room full of women mainly aged 40+. Again I believe this is not the first time this has happened. I have always given doubts when I've read negative things about this place but I feel it's ok until you have a problem and they will not accept any criticism and jump on the defensive. If you can't handle a complaint professionally then you should not be in hospitality. I'm so disappointed and at a time when hospitality is struggling and there's lots of competition in our lovely town you should deal with your customers better. Show less

Don’t be fooled by the 5 starts for atmosphere- that was all us, because we had a wonderful party in the roundhouse, in spite of the actions of the Imaginarium staff and owner. Two young servers were trying their best. 75 women at a 50th birthday party. Almost £700 was handed over for a sad, small buffet of watery ‘chip shop’ curry, ‘kids sandwiches’ sausage rolls and fries. We rightly complained, were met with a bad attitude from a rude manager, and ultimately paid the balance anyway. Some party food was added to the table 45 mins after we had cleared the original offering which went untouched as guests had eaten what they could from the buffet and the party had carried on. They didn’t let us know more food was coming when we made our complaint, nor once it was served - a silent acknowledgement of the poor state of the food maybe? Two hours later and just 15 minutes before the end of our party, having taken our custom at the bar, an apoplectic woman demanded we left amongst vicious name calling, shouts and screams. Very extreme behaviour from the owner of Imaginarium, (although if I’d behaved like that I wouldn’t have admitted to the affiliation) and I can only assume a way to retaliate following the food complaint. Made more shocking by the fact that we had paid in full for the dismal buffet and continued to enjoy our evening as normal. They must have made a fortune on the bar alone. Would you believe they actually reported a brawl to the police, to prompt them to make clear us out…..the officers were all wonderful and understanding, and chatted to us while we cleared away. The cctv proved not to be working and the police’s time was wasted. I’ve spotted a theme amongst the reviews here, and you will see a similar tone from the managers responses, mentioning cctv (which couldn’t be shown) but this isn’t the way to deal with customers -as anyone who has worked in hospitality would say. I wouldn’t suggest holding any kind of function or special meal here as it’s likely to be ruined by the lack of customer service and volatile management. We still had a wonderful time dancing the night away together until that point.

A Friend hired this venue for another Friends Surprise 50th Birthday Party, good communication prior to event, we were told a maximum of approximately 70 people which we adhered to, even letting Friends down on a first come first serve basis. We had a staggered arrival between 4-4.45pm due to Birthday girl arriving by 5.15pm even so there was long queue at the bar and a lack of seating in the roundhouse, the limited staff were bringing chairs in at this point, the bar was quite poorly stocked and the wine was overpriced for the quality of it A few niggles but nothing to spoil the evening until the buffet, poor quality chicken curry, a few foil trays of overcooked rice, some chips, a small platter of sausage rolls and a few platters of dry, bland sandwiches that I wouldnt serve at a Childrens party. Our lovely Friend who organised this approached the manager with her disappointment at the buffet to then be verbally attacked as were a few of our party, they then called the police lying that we were all brawling, laughable, this was a female only event and the majority of us are in our 40s,the only brawling we do is boxing for fitness, pure lies and a waste of police time and I believe this is not the first time said Manager has done this .Our Friend is a very successful Business Woman and hosts and organises many events, lots for multiple charities also and this really upset her at the way she was mistreated by the owner, the rest of her family were almost as bad as her, they also stated we bombarded the place all at the same time, again untrue Such an unprofessional outfit, I couldn't even say business, the circus theme is quite fitting There are much more welcoming and better quality places to eat at in Prescot, Harringtons and Pinion never dissapoint

Attended a party at this venue on the weekend. Buffet was the worst I’ve ever seen and very expensive. At the end of the evening the owner became hysterical and asked us to leave because we dared to complain about the buffet. Absolutely disgusting behaviour l, I have honestly never experienced anything like it. Do not go to here avoid at all costs. Poor food, poor venue and even worse management!!!!!

After my original review was deleted.. clearly the truth hurts. Unprofessional. Attended a party here this weekend in the roundhouse, no problems until the buffet provided, a polite and professional small complaint was taken to the manager all with good reason, she then turned it round onto us and said she felt intimidated and bullied- yet then stood behind the bar laughing while she could see how much distress she had caused- totally unprovoked. We carried on with our party, to then have the delightful owner push through our party, take control of my phone and our sound system, all while shouting, name calling and actually shoved one of the people with us. She then called the police claiming that there was 75 people brawling, which was never the case at any point- a waste of police time. So extremely unprofessional from those involved. Both owner and manager should be ashamed, but the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

Really good Chinese food served very quickly. Went on a Tuesday evening and there was plenty of space, even 'though we hadn't booked beforehand. We were brought crackers and dips straight away, then our meals quite soon after that by friendly staff.

After ordering food 2 weeks ago and not receiving anything as they ‘lost our order’ we thought we’d give them the benefit of the doubt. How wrong we were, we ordered £41.50 worth of food and as it was getting near the 1 hour and 30 mins delivery time we gave them a ring to check we’d get something this time. They apologised for the previous experience and said they’d send some drinks as an apology and it’d only be another 10 mins. Lo and behold it was late by 20 odd minutes, no drinks and the delivery driver tried to give us somebody else’s order, good job we checked. Our food was cold and we ended up with a random dish that was probably another poor souls food. It seems it’s too hard for them to do a decent job for what they are charging. Never again and I urge you to go elsewhere!

Went to Ho's for celebration meal in private room. The set up was chaotic, a bit tight between tables & staff run off feet. The waitress's & waiters were patient but I felt were up against it. I felt the food was a bit bland, certainly had better. I would go again but not just now.

Food was beautiful and the service was great. We had a birthday and they were so helpful with the cake even adding more candles. My only grumble was the air conditioning which made it bone chillingly cold as we were sat very close to the vent, so take a jumper or carry just in case!!

We booked a table last night for 6 adults and a 6 month old baby. From the second we arrived they asked did we want a high chair but then complained there was no room for it to be at the table. We were then rushed to order our food by a waiter with a bad attitude. Then all 6 of us ended up eating our cold starters separately after waiting around 45 minutes for the first one to arrive. My plate had sauce on it from a previous order which clearly proves the plate hadn’t been washed properly!! We all finished our starters and had been staring at empty plates for another 40 minutes. We were then asked by another rude waitress if we were would like more drinks to which we replied can we ask how long the main courses will be please? To which she responded with a bad attitude and told us she had been waiting for us to finish our starters!! At this point I was feeding my 6 month old son and she very aggressively starting collecting plates leaning over my sons face!! I then spoke to the manager about the poor service and attitude from the staff, and was again approached by the same aggressive waitress shouting in my face. She then stormed out of the restaurant and as we were leaving she was smoking a vape at the side of the building and past another comment under her breath! Because of this certain member of staff making us all feel uncomfortable we won’t be returning and it is somewhere we have been going as a family for years! The whole place has gone down hill!!

Chinese restaurant
The Beijing Restaurant, a Chinese dining establishment that held great significance for many patrons, unfortunately ceased operations. Despite its closure, fond recollections will forever remain. This culinary haven boasted an extensive history and consistently delivered delectable dishes without fail. The cuisine was exceptional, the staff amicable, and the prices reasonable - a trifecta of desirable attributes. Those who frequented this eatery would undoubtedly vouch for its excellence in both food quality and service standards.
Excellent food and service would definitely recommend.

1. Very cold in there. 2. Food tastes different than usual, didn't like any of it! 3. Waste of money, we left more than we ate & we didn't bother to bring food home like usual. This place used to be my favourite but the meals were awful this time, I won't want to go there again! VERY DISAPPOINTED!

This was the best Chinese restaurant I've ever had the pleasure to eat and drink in. I'm so sorry it's shut down now but will always have special memories thanks .

The food was a little bit disappointing and the vegetarian options on our banquet meal were quite bad. They even forgot a few and several members of staff actually pushed you quite unnecessarily when they were bringing and taking plates… sweet and sour was off tasting, black bean tofu was a bit weak. Rice also tasted a bit past its prime. Not the best.
