Italian restaurant
The italian restaurant Ristorante Da Sina is a charming and popular spot, with indoor and outdoor seating. The food is excellent, including pizzas cooked in a wood oven, burgers and gnocchi. The restaurant was very busy but they managed to seat quickly, without reservations.
Great Italian restaurant in Wengen. The wood oven pizzas were delicious. Charming decor. Indoor and outdoor seating. Strangely, the menu also includes fondue, raclette, and burgers. Fast service. As it is one of the busiest restaurants in Wengen, reservations are recommended.

Greeted on the patio by Charlie the Samoyed and it only got better from there. Delicious, authentic, and freshly made Italian cuisine. Splurge and go for desert too - hands down the best tiramisu I've had!

We had a marvelous time here. The wine, food and atmosphere was everything we could have wanted. I highly recommend their burgers and Pizzas and this red wine !!

DELICIOUS! Food was fantastic, staff were extremely kind and always with a BIG SMILE, and restaurant setting was beautiful. True Italian style pizza (must try) and their pasta is off the charts! Highly recommend topping it off with the Apple Strudel with Vanilla Ice Cream for dessert. MUST TRY if you are in Wengen!

We absolutely loved this restaurant, and the food was so good that we ate here twice! You can choose between sitting on the ambient patio outside, or the cozy restaurant inside, and the service was always very friendly and also very quick. The 'pasta ala mama' was my favorite on our whole trip, it is a penne pasta in a tomato cream sauce (light cream), and so delicious. The other pasta I got was also very good, as was the caprese salad, and cappuccinos. My husband really enjoyed the hamburger. Highly recommend!

A dining experience is the alps! I would encourage you to give this restaurant a spot on your travel itinerary. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.

Busiest restaurant in Wengen and for good reason. Old italian vibe and decor. Restaurant was packed but they managed to seat us quickly with no reservations. Burger was phenomenal and gnocchi was good. Enjoyed a nice evening in a fun spot snd would definitely go back.

Good food and inviting atmosphere. The pizza and pasta were delicious. We appreciated them accommodating our large party, even though we did not have a reservation. We returned several times.

We would like to thank Marco and the entire staff of Ristorante Da Sina For being incredibly hardworking and talented , the evening weather turned to rain and they somehow managed to accommodate everyone in to shelter that where seated outside .We were one of those guest . Our food was delicious and prepared correctly . While seated inside we were able to observe everything, the place is incredible. Our journey was long to get to Wengen , Switzerland Ristorante Da Sina made it worth it for our first meal .

Excellent restaurant. The food was amazing and the service was top notch. Highly recommend. We had Spaghetti Portofino and pasta Mamma, both were were outstanding.

My favorite restaurant in Wengen! Lots of choice on the menu, and every dish I’ve had has been fresh and delicious. Tonight I had the salmon, and it was spectacular. In the summer, the patio is delightful, and in the winter the vibe is both cozy and lively. I really adore this place.
Carrie Mantha — Google review
Da Sina's was incredible, the staff is friendly and definitely enhanced the atmosphere. Our first night we arrived in Wengen, we went there for pizza, which was extremely authentic and executed perfectly from scratch and with their pizza oven. We went back two nights later for the Gnocchi and Spaghetti Carbonara, which was better than what we recently had in Rome. The comped desert was nice touch as well.
Jon Hausam — Google review
Food was good we had a capriccosa pizza and fondue for 2. We sat outside and there was only “1” waiter for every table there. This poor guy was working too hard and unfortunately he forgot our water but took it off the bill. Food was very expensive however, the fondue for 2 was 60 francs!!! We would probably come back if we could find any other place to eat.

I really do not know why the 3.9 starts… it is for sure a solid >4.2 star restaurant! We had carbonara and pizza —kudos to the service and the bartender maling drinks! Great job indeed!

Delicious pizza and chili oil is perfect. Great service and beautiful decor.

We walked in after a hike without a reservation and were happy they were able to accommodate us. The food was just delicious. We had multiple pasta options, the caprese salad, and a margarita pizza. On our trip so far, it is the best meal we’ve had in France and Switzerland!

The italian restaurant Pasta & More has delicious pasta dishes, as well as salads and meat dishes. The rustic modern decor is inviting and the staff are friendly and accommodating. It is dog friendly, which is great for parents with furry friends. Corner with toys and books for children makes it a perfect spot to go with the whole family.
Very pleased with welcome and service at the restaurant. The location is amazing as right off the train station and in the main street, in the village center. We slept at the hotel Arenas as well and the room was nice, great views on mountains which on a full moon night was actually super pleasant at night.
Florent Barral — Google review
Poor service, bland food. Wasn't offered more drinks, it took over an hour and a half for serve from start to finish and we only had one main. Felt ignored all evening. Really not good for prices paid.
S — Google review
Honestly, I’d give a solid 3.5 stars. The best part of dinner was the pumpkin soup appetizer! It has garlic and pumpkin seeds in it and was very flavorful. The spaghetti carbonara and Swiss macaroni & cheese dishes were both good, but not spectacular. The service is good, a little slow but the number of servers to diners was a little short and to be expected.
Chad Prahl — Google review
We had dinner here. In itself the dishes were ok. We had a salad, pasta and meat dish. Tasty but not really good. The portions are rather small and the food very simple. So in terms of price/quality ratio it was much below what we expected. For example a small plate of spaghetti with tomato sauce and literally nothing else for 26,50 is really overpriced.
Bianca Oudshoff — Google review
The food was expensive and subpar, with the bread for fondue stale and served in a very large bag (who knows how many tables had it previously). The two waitresses were yelling at each other in English, blaming each other for misplaced food and orders throughout the lunch, making for an uncomfortable and disturbing environment. Wishing the best for improvement, but nonetheless very disappointed with the meal.
Jake Rinaldi — Google review
We ate lunch here. The soup was delicious and the truffle pasta. We ordered the cheese fondue, unfortunately the alcohol in the cheese fondue was very over powering but the waitress was so nice and kindly changed it for us. Nice food and really nice staff!
Jasmin Hussain — Google review
Wonderful food - we ate every bite! Excellent salad, pasta, roasted chicken, soup, and dessert! The staff was very nice and friendly even though they were extra busy.

Excellent location, great food & good service! Well presented & tasty food. I had the fish but would appreciate some additional vegetarian options. Also a great wine & beer variety including local produce.

Pasta & more offers a good selection of different pasta dishes, salads, and meat dishes. Rustic modern decor. All our dishes were delicious, especially the ravioli Rustico with pecorino cheese and balsamic vinegar. Friendly and accomodating staff. Dog friendly. Corner with toys and books for children.
Beat A. Schwendimann — Google review
The staffs are really friendly. Even I was choosing quite long because I was too tired and don't know what to eat, the waitress didn't even pressure me. She orders the others like Salat and drinks for me and gave me time to choose the main dish. The taste and decorating of food are excellent. Near by the restaurant, there's a bar which I can order the cocktail drinks and dine in.
Bettina Battaglia — Google review
We stopped in for a late lunch and everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The carbonara was amazing along with everything else we tried. We may be back for a second round within the next 24 hours.
Sam Tacheny — Google review
The staff seem run off their feet but are quite friendly. We arrived at 7 and ordered within 10mins, but it was 7:40pm before we asked and they realised they hadn’t submitted the order and had to do it again. Somehow adding an extra 4 drinks to our order and not removing it before we asked for the bill delayed us even further. Thankfully the food came out quickly after we had ordered. The carbonara sauce seemed to have separated and was a bit pasty, the bacon bits had no flavour to them. The pesto with prawn was also bland and didn’t have much of a pesto taste.
Ben Thompson — Google review
Very disappointing. Nice spacious restaurant with modern decor. Limited menu. Salad included very dirty lettuce leaf. Spaghetti with prawns had 5 small dry over-cooked prawns on top and non in the body. Service was soon overstretched even though they weren't even half full. Could be so much better.
Helen Chester — Google review
Superb freshly cooked food in generous portions. We ordered french fries which came accompanied by lots of fresh breads and tomato sauce. Service was very quick and prompt. Staff is customer friendly. Outdoor seating offers superb views. Very peaceful place. Seating is spacious. Place is easy to locate. At a walkable distance from the train station. Wheelchair accessible.
Shailesh Desai — Google review
Waited a very long time for our food, to the point where our waitress was surprised that it hadn't arrived yet. I have a feeling that they completely forgot to put the order in, as we had to continue to wait to be served. The food was fine but nothing special, especially given the prices we paid. The spaghetti with pesto/shrimp was basically swimming in olive oil. The menu on the site is out-of-date and has lower prices than reality, so bear that in mind. Overall, a very disappointing experience.
Logan Rosen — Google review
Waiting time was faaar to long, there were 3 tables, including us, altogether 15 people. It took them at least 15 minutes to bring menus and then another 15 to come back for the order. We ordered only desserts and they came in about 10 minutes, they tasted very good. At the end we didn't receive the bill, but the price which we paid was correct (we had time to count it because we waited for so long) Ambient is very nice, service was very slow, but polite. I can't give more then 3 stars, there definitely is a room for improvement.
Deni Jančec — Google review
Awful restaurant! We went there with a group of six people and not a single dish was decent. The pastas were blunt with too much oil and rather low quality ingredients. Soups were heavy with cream. Extremely disappointing, specially taking relatively high prices (even for Swiss standards). Service was also poor (wrong orders, missing utensils…)
Andrzej Głuszyński — Google review
We had 2 fantastic dinner last week at Pasta & More. The service was top notch and the food was varied and come out quick. Good ambiance to lay back after a long day of skiing.
Antoine G — Google review
We visited the restaurant and unfortunately, many things went wrong. Staff was stressed (but friendly once they had time for you), food was ok but one dish was completely cold, so we gave it back to the kitchen, it never came back until we asked the waiters after 15 mins, when the dish finally made it back it still was not warm. Many guests at the tables had similar problems (were not served, wrong dish came, etc.). When we complained, the manager was very cooperative and deleted the cold dish from the bill. They probably had a very bad evening, but I cannot recommend going here.
DSN112358 — Google review
Went here later in the evening on a weekend as most places were closed. It was quite busy so I assumed it would good. Service was decent. We ordered the pasta with truffle pesto and shrimp and the short ribs. The pasta had no flavor, was just oil, and diced tomatoes. No hint of pesto. Short ribs were soft, but insanely salty. Would not come again. Not worth the price.
Minh Dang — Google review
Came in looking for a decent meal. First off no fondue available even when it’s all over the menu … no vodka either…. We tried the worst bruschetta we’ve ever had. Terrible stale bread with mushrooms thrown on top. What??! We explained we didn’t like it. And didn’t want to pay for it. They didn’t offer to remake it - and our server decided to just try and make us pay for it at the end, after we had already asked to have it taken off. All we got was 20% off the price of it. No wonder this place is empty. Sad cause it’s a great location. Hopefully the owner does something about this place. It won’t last long operating this way. Gross. And I get the sense that food safety compliance is not a priority. Be careful here

Hotel Restaurant Bären is a charming alpine hotel with a restaurant and wine cellar, offering stunning views of the mountains and valleys. Guests have praised the spacious Family Room, cleanliness, and hospitable staff. The receptionist provides excellent local recommendations. The breakfast is satisfying, and the on-site restaurant offers delicious meals, including a special deer dish from the family's hunting. The elegant restaurant ambiance, friendly staff, and good service have left visitors impressed.
My family and I had such a wonderful time at Wengen staying at Hotel Bären. The owners Therese & Willy, as well as their team of staff are such lovely, hospitable people. We stayed at the family room on the top floor with a spectacular view of the mountains, and had dinner twice at their restaurant. Their food is undoubtedly one of the best I’ve tried so far in Switzerland. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice quiet and beautiful place to stay in Wengen. Tips: make sure you reserve a table for dinner early to avoid disappointment! Also, you can call the hotel to get picked up at the train station if you have heavy luggage as the walk to the hotel is downhill.

We stayed here for ski week in February 2023 & really enjoyed our stay. We were two adults & 2 kids & the connected rooms they gave us were spacious & fit our family well. It was nice to have two bathrooms as well. The location is a short downhill walk from the train station & they provide you the ability to store your boots & skis in the ski shop in town during your stay which is very nice since the way back to the train is uphill. The view from the room balcony was beautiful. Everyone who works here is lovely & always willing to help. We opted for the half-board which meant we ate breakfast & dinner there everyday which was a great deal & the food was really delicious. I would highly recommend!

One word. Wow. This place is beautiful and the perfect location to explore this part of the alps. We had a perfect stay in the family suite and enjoyed every minute. The staff is helpful and wonderful. We also ate at the restaurant for dinner which was fantastic. The included breakfast is divine as well.

Our room was absolutely beautiful, the view was perfect. The other hotels in front definitely do not take away from the view which was one of my concerns before booking. The staff was so kind and attentive. You MUST book dinner at the restaurant, such a delicious meal. Couldn't recommend more!

This review is only for the restaurant. This unassuming building surprises guests with a modern-rustic interior, great mountain views. The food was outstanding and beautifully presented. The staff was very accommodating, professional and fast. Small tables for romantic dates and large tables for groups and families. As this is a highly recommended place, reservations are recommended.

We had a perfect 3 night stay! Everything about our experience was exceptional. Staff was attentive and incredibly friendly. Our dinner at the hotel was incredible. The morning breakfast had an abundance of everything we could want. The room itself and the reality-defying view could not have been better. Thank you so much, Theres and Willy, for sharing your guest space with us. We would return in a heartbeat!

We had a great experience at Hotel Bären. We got a Family Room which was quite spacious. The room, sheets, towels etc were all spotless. One thing we also noticed was how nice the staff are. All of them were very hospitable and helpful. The lady at the reception is lovely and gives good recommendations for the area. The breakfast is very nice and sufficient. We also had a dinner at the restaurant of the hotel. It was also quite good, much better than many other options around Wengen. Overall we can certainly recommend staying at this hotel, especially for the families.

Fantastic hotel in Wengen! Lovely and caring staff, and AMAZING food! The true definition of a farm-to-table restaurant. Excellent atmosphere and conveniently located a 5 minute walk to the Wengen train station and city center. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the region.

We booked their best room 301 and the room is very nice with a fantastic view. You see Jungfrau directly on the balcony. And mountain view from the bathtub! 100 points for the room. Food is okay. Good breakfast, dinner less impressive. Service is a bit random but I understand it is more or less the standard in this country? Housekeeper left a bag of trash in the bathroom one day, and the bathtub did not appear to have been cleaned during our stay. Now please be aware that the balcony is shared with room 302, meaning there is no separation in between. We have the misfortune of having super loud people staying at 302 during our entire stay. Talking loudly nonstop ALL THE TIME. Not only we cannot use the balcony in peace but leaving the doors open is not practical too, since you hear *everything*. I mean really really loud. (So inconsiderate!) That was extremely irritating and disappointing. I like the hotel especially the room 301 but I'm not sure if I want to return.

Went for dinner here for my father's 70th birthday (or rather, the night after because they are closed on Tuesdays). Had the tasting menu. They were very flexible about substituting items for us since we're vegetarians. The food and service were both excellent.

We loved our stay at Hotel Baren. It has the most beautiful view of the mountains. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is delicious and a great way to start off each day. The dinner was superb as well, especially if you can sit out on the porch. They even provided hiking poles free of charge to borrow. Wengen itself is a charming town, the area is quiet and peaceful at night. I would highly recommend staying here!
Vivian Xiao — Google review
We ate at the Restaurant Bären while staying in Wengen, and we were very glad we did. The staff were lovely, accommodating, and the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, with just the right amount of privacy. As we didn’t have phones with calling functionality while touring Europe, we emailed the hotel for a dinner reservation, and they quickly responded to confirm. We can’t wait to visit Wengen again, and taste more of the wonderful food at the Bären.
Ben P — Google review
The women who manage this hotel are excellent. They are so welcoming and are always doing their best to make our stay as nice as possible. We are so grateful to the Hotel Bären and their hard work.

Good views, peaceful room, and good service. Went here this 2021 Christmas and stayed for 3 nights. We rented the Kleine Bar a separate Chalet and it was the perfect rooms for 4 adults. Only con to the chalet was that the kitchen wasn’t in service, wouldve been nice to be able to cook. But the hotel does have a restaurant and take away. Pros: - luggage service (pick up/drop off of luggage from train station) - cosy chalet - wifi (was able to work remotely) - fridge in chalet - take away food - balcony - view from left room Cons: - kitchen not in service

Came here for the dinner. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and looks elegant. Staffs were friendly and attentive. Services were good. Was provided with a free small starter as a test, which was nice. Ordered the special of the day: which is the saddle of deer from family own hunting. The deer was very juicy and cooked nicely. The side dishes that were healthy and nice too. Would be good if there are more sauces as it is not enough for me. The pilzravioli (mushroom ravioli) was good as well. Cooked nicely and you can taste the mushroom well. We ordered the Passion Lemon Spritz drink which was not bad. For dessert, we tried the Caramel cream which was delicious and it is not too sweet, which is how we preferred it. The restaurant emphasizes on healthy ingredients, but with foods of great taste. Would recommend this restaurant for people who are health-conscious or would like to try healthy fusion food.

What a lovely hotel. This was my second year -I came back with my daughter and a friend. We shared a family room on the top floor with an amazing view. Everything was wonderful- the food, the service, and the location.

We didn’t stay at the hotel but stopped in to eat dinner at the restaurant after our hike. It’s a pity google won’t allow rating on the restaurant by itself. The staff were attentive but we didn’t get the service some of the other reviews described. The limited English I think might have been the cause. We ordered a plate of tapas: a lovely soup, meat and fish sampler. We liked the soup so much I asked for an order of the cup of soup which was on the menu. The waitress said she would bring us a plate and I said not a plate (thinking she meant the tapas) but a cup of soup. To which she seemed rather cross and said she’d get me soup. I though she poorly handled the exchange. The food however was excellent. For mains we got the lamb which was thin slices of tender meat with an accompaniment of vegetables and Rösti and the dish of the day which was an excellent trout fillet with a saffron sauce.

Didn't stay at the hotel but did eat dinner at the restaurant. It was highly recommended by some locals and we weren't disappointed. Had a selection from the hunt menu. Everything was tasty, the service was attentive, and the restaurant is very nice with a great view of the valley. Reservations recommended.

Where do I start with a review for this place, my second home! I cant begin to describe the warmth of the welcome from the moment you open the front door, to every meal time, to the time you leave, with a promise to 'see you soon'. We aren't blessed with much time away from the confines of work here in the UK but every time we manage to grab a weekend at Baren we are always spoilt with the comfort and rest that we so need. Every single aspect of this home from home, from spectacular location, to rooms, to impeccable dining and heart warming hospitality that Therese, Willy and all of the family/friends provide, are first class. The only holiday I'll ever need. 'See you soon'

Restaurant Weidstübli is a great choice for trying Swiss cuisine in Lauterbrunnen. The location offers a perfect view of the wonderful nature, making it an ideal spot to enjoy a meal. The fondue is highly recommended and comes with bread, pickles, and garlic. Additionally, the Caesar salad is presented beautifully and the atmosphere of the restaurant adds to the dining experience.
So good! We had Lamb chops, char fillet, cheese fondue and the chocolate cake with ice cream! The cheese fondue had an alcoholic taste after some mouths.. not sure is it the taste of the fennel and garlic after adding in.. the more u eat the more u will love it..

Although fairly pricey, the food is really quite good! Everything in Lauterbrunnen is expensive (think Disneyland prices), but the options at Weidstübil are unique, high-quality, and delicious. For dinner, I would definitely recommend getting a reservation as it gets quite busy since it is one of only a few places in town open past 17:00 (at least in the spring).

Came here for dinner while staying in town. The food and service were great! I had to get fondue in Switzerland, and this did not disappoint! Our waitress was excellent and very friendly. Wow, the service was great. I love our server she was very happy. Since we did not have reservations and there were only 2 of us, I decided to go on the waiting list. What was nice is they had a tablet that was a no-show, and we got a tablet right away. I have no idea how to make a reservation ahead of time other than calling them. We can from the US and decided to pay the 100 per phone, so we had unlimited cell service. Works great.

Food was all burnt, from the thin-patty burger to the hard egg on the Rosti. Cold beer served by the amazing Carolina made the evening. We trekked all the way down from Wengen and won’t be back. But seriously, don’t eat here, it’s rating is just inflated being next to a campground where everyone ran out of canned soup and lunchables so think they hit a 5.0 on the first “meal” of their road-trip!🥴😢
Jonathan Whitney — Google review
Guys, the food is nothing special (the chicken was dry and tasteless, besides, the menu indicated that it was supposed to be a breast, but in the photo you can see that there is still a wing on the plate) and I was also surprised that they took money for tap water. I advise you to eat in the city center, at least there is a view there🤷‍♀️ Probably good for campers.

I recently had one of the most incredible culinary experiences of my life at this amazing restaurant. Its authenticity and mountainous ambiance create a charming setting. From the delectable food to the outstanding staff, every detail made this visit unforgettable. Our waitress was remarkably friendly, and the chefs, absolutely amazing—both in their culinary skills and, I must add, in their good looks. As a lighthearted joke, I even considered taking them home with me.😍🥰 🫣🤭😂 A special anecdote: when I inquired about the yellow one fruit accompanying my brownie, the chef kindly gave me a small fruit harvested right there. The personalized attention elevated the experience to something truly incredible. I urge everyone to pay a visit to this place. The perfectly cooked meat stood out for its texture, flavors, and exceptional fusion. This restaurant is a culinary gem that I recommend 1000%. Don't miss out!

Great restaurant in Lauterbrunnen to try Swiss cuisine 😋 First the location is perfect in the wonderful nature of Lauterbrunnen with a great view 😀 The fondue 🫕 was extremely tasty and it was served with breat, pickles, and garlic 😋 Also another recommendation is ceaser salad. The presentation is great and the atmosphere is wonderful 😀 👌 Little bit pricey (for German prices) but it is worth it 👌

We ordered gnocchi and margarita pizza. The pizza was just okay but red pesto gnocchi were amazing. "Spicy" oil for the pizza was not spicy at all. Unfortunately the overall impression was ruined once we were seated by their water policy. We brought our own water bottles drinking water from a nearby spring. The waitress informed us that we are not allowed to have our own water. Interesting that in other reviews customers were upset that the restaurant charging for tap water and they replied that it was due to a glass washing cost. Since we didn't ask to wash anything for us, I'm curious what their reasoning was. We were not allowed to choose a table on a patio because the manager thought it was going to rain. However there were other people seated outside. We had to share a large table with other people. The gnocchi were so good that we decided to return. On Saturday night we were informed that all the tables are reserved. It was 7:15 and most empty tables were booked for 7. We went elsewhere.

Great restaurant, the best in Lauterbrunnen. During my trip, I tried one other fondue and it was so bad. Was reluctant to give it a try here but after reading the amazing reviews on it here, we ordered it. No regrets, it was awesome! Get the apple streudel dessert!

Okay. Food was nice, but service was very abrupt. We arrived and asked if they had a table inside and the man just shouted NO. We would have been happy to wait but we're not given an option to, so sat outside in the cold. Other groups were seated inside 10 mins later without reservation so we wish we had had the chance to ask to wait for this. On top of this, tap water is charged at 50c per 100ml (!!), and even though we had a beer we were still charged this although the menu said only a charge if you don't order another drink. Food was nice and okay value.

Eiger is a restaurant located in Wengen, offering a convenient dining option right outside the train station. The establishment is known for its delicious dishes, including tomato soup with gin, market salad, raclette, roast chicken, and Rosti. Despite slightly slower service due to limited staff, the food quality surpasses that of other restaurants in the area. Eiger provides traditional Swiss cuisine such as fondue and Raclette in a rustic setting with fast service.
A nice place to eat when in Wengen. Right outside the train station, it's a good place to eat as soon as you enter or when about to leave Wengen. The number of waiters were less, so the eairing time was a bit more. So make sure you have the entire order ready when the waiter comes to your table. They'll bring out the dishes in the respective order. Dishes were great and I would definitely recommend the tomato soup with gin in it.

Traditional Swiss food in a rustic setting. Fondue, Raclette, and Roeschti are staples on the menu. Located right next the the Wegen train station. The food quality and portions were good. Service was fast. Reservations are recommended.

This restaurant deserves a much higher review than it has. The food here has been far superior to the other restaurants in Wengen that have a higher rating. The market salad, raclette and roast chicken were all delicious. The food came in good time but service was a little slower than perhaps those coming from cities would expect (as only a few staff work here). Would happily recommend this to anyone coming to Wengen.

We had a great dining experience! They were very accommodating for our group of 13 and sat us outside with a great view. Our server (wish we got his name!) was amazing and funny. He even showed us the fresh mushrooms that he picked that morning in the Swiss Alps and were used in the risotto we ordered. The food was excellent as well and our entire group left very happy.

This place is amazing. My husband and I spent a week in Wengen. I tried every Rosti in Wengen and a few in Lauterbraunnen. This was the best. My husband and I came here twice during our week. He had the steak one night and the spare ribs another night. He grew up on KC BBQ and said these are the best he has ever had. I tried them and they were incredible. This is a can’t miss place…truly!! Hurry up and go!

Beautiful restaurant, great view and right in the middle of the village. Ribs are some of the best I've ever had. Will be return multiple times during our stay in Wengen.

We had the spaghetti bolognese. It was good. Not spectacular but I did love the atmosphere and the service was also swift. The Portuguese server was a charming man.

If I can give this 0 stars I would have. Went in with my sister and mother last week for dinner. We went into the dining hall and was told Out out out! In a condescending manner by the owner. And we thought ok maybe they are busy and we stood at the door. The waiter then told us to wait and we waited. After a long time of him taking his sweet time to set the table, he finally allowed us to sit down. Our mother is 72 and he could have let her sit first but there was no intention to. Later we sat there without menus for a while so we called the same waiter who was strolling around the 1/3 filled restaurant . He proceeded to come over and shout very loudly at us - In Europe, we don’t call the waiter! We wait! We wait till the waiter is free and he will come! Wow this type of condescending and rude behavior in a service industry? No thanks. And we asked about fondue which apparently his restaurant is famous for, and he said they are out of bread! So no fondue! And he used his hand to gesticulate to us what a fondue is! Very ultra rude service from the waiter and owner and if you see the rest of the reviews here it’s obvious it’s a rascist issue. Spend our money elsewhere then. Not here! Go to Restaurant Pasta and More - super good service and actually very good food. The term ‘in Europe’ was unnecessary and rude. We have travelled for the last 40 years IN EUROPE and never met anyone like him. Such attitude shd be fired and not condoned ever.

I never write reviews, but I really wanted to complain with this one. Food: Mediocre at best and nothing really special. I don’t even think we got the correct food for one of our orders, but honestly it’s our first time here so we couldn’t really tell. Service: The service was abysmal and i think the owners and managers there are racist. We made a reservation the day prior and when we first went in, we weren’t greeted for a good 5 to 10 minutes. Then when a different party came after us, they were seated first and then we were seated. Food and drinks took a while, but that was understandable because it was pretty busy. Our waters never came and even when we asked multiple times they never gave it to us. For the check, there’s a guy that collects the payment and he was very kind and welcoming to the other tables, but when he got to us all he asked was if we’re done and collected our plates and ran off. Even when we tried to get his attention he wouldn’t look at us. Check also took a long time and they charged us for water which we never got so that also took more time to change. Overall, they’re pretty racist against asians and only friendly towards tables with larger parties.
