One of the most famous beach in Ternate. If you walk a little to the bay, you can enjoy snorkle and dive here. Around the beach there are many place to take a rest and gather with your family. There are also few sellers that offer simple food or coconut drink.

Ngade Lake is located in Ternate, which is one place that you can visit if you visit Ternate. this place is not far from the city center. a very beautiful view of the lake between the lake, mountains and the sea is a beautiful landscape. if you go to ternate dont forget to coming here and take a photo 😁

This is the iconic place of Ternate. Danau Ngade is special, because its water is freshwater although it located close to the sea. When in rainy season, the lake water is little bit cloudly. From the top of the hill, you can enjoy the view of the lake and Gamalama Montain as a background, really beautiful. This picture of Gamalama Mountain also printed on Indonesian banknotes in the IDR 1K denomination.

This is one of the relics of the Portuguese colonial era in Indonesia, especially Maluku Isands. This Fort of Tolukko remember us how The Portuguese came to Maluku for spices and defending it from other invaders like Spain and Dutch. The view from the top of fort is beautiful. You have to pay entrance ticket to vsit this place, just for managing the cleanliness of the fort. The fort location now is surrounding by cluster housing area.

One of the historical buildings in Ternate where we can learn about the history of the city itself. We can see the gamalama mountain and all the city of ternate from the fort. It's a nice place to visit look into google or wikipedia and read it's history before we go.

Fort was a bit small, but view was amazing from here. The gate was locked but you can ask someone there to open it for you.

Masjid Raya Al Munawwar Ternate 🇵🇸 Al Munawwar Grand Mosque is a mosque in Ternate, North Maluku province. The Al-Munawwar Mosque, which means "radiant" or "shining", is unique compared to mosques in general. Some of the buildings are actually above sea level, supported by several piles. This mosque is an amazing sight for anyone who sees it from the sea when traveling from Tidore Island to Ternate. Apart from the four twin towers, one of which is on the sea, with a height of 45 meters, which corresponds to the year of Indonesian independence, this mosque has a giant dome. The mosque building consists of a main floor and a second floor which are used as prayer areas, while the ground floor is for performing ablution. The mosque is equipped with 12 pillars across the rows and 12 pillars running across the rows. This number is adjusted to the date of birth of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. The mosque was built on an area of 6 hectares, with an area of 9512 square meters, designed to accommodate 15,000 worshipers at once. The Al Munawwar Grand Mosque is equipped with 4 towers as high as 44 meters, two of these towers were built in the sea.

A place of worship for Muslims where the atmosphere is beautiful and clean because you can see the wide beach created by Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

The mosque is quite big and being inside, can save you from the heat that strikes. It is nice to have prayer here. The only minus is that they only offer limited sarong to borrow for those who don't wear any trousers. Eventho the parking spot is limited, but nothing beat the panoramic view behind this floating mosque. A breathtaking sight of the sea and the Maitara island, and just turn your to your to spot the Gamalama mountain perfectly!
