The historic inn known as The Bull Hotel boasts traditional accommodations with complimentary breakfast and WiFi. Additionally, it features a cozy bar and grill for guests to enjoy. For those seeking a welcome drink, both The Bull and Liverpool Arms offer warm hospitality. Alternatively, visitors can explore the nearby high street and gather supplies for their weekend stay. If timing allows, Tredici presents an excellent deli and butcher with fresh produce options, while Central Bakery provides convenient access to baked goods just off the main road.
This was our first time in Wales and it was a great experience. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere of the property was fabulous. Would love to come back, and we will definitely be staying here again.

Spent 4 nights here 10-13 July 2023. Lovely big room, very friendly staff, Heather and Emrys and our cleaner Sarah. Nice continental breakfasts set us up for days doing touristy stuff.

Stayed here for 3 nights in early December 2023. The hotel has recently changed ownership and the new owners and staff are doing their utmost to improve on the reviews under the previous owners. Refurbishment is continuing with a new carpet being fitted in the reception and stairs during the stay. I look forward to seeing how this has progressed later this year. The current manageress is exemplary in hospitality and looked after our every need. The hotel pub has a fabulous atmosphere with a lovely open fire and the evening menu is good and great value. I would definitely stay here again and plan to do so on my next trip in December 2024. it’s so central giving easy access to the town.

Very friendly staff, lovely pub. Accomodation very basic, but would happily stay here again. Nice food too at the pub. Car park is a little tight in places but then again can't complain as it's free! Overall would recommend and stay here again in future.

Friendly staff.. great food and lively pub. Rooms need updating but still adequate.

Stayed for one night while working away. The bed was nice and the shower was great, can't remember when I last had one with the pressure it had! As far as the room itself, it's dated but so is the hotel since it's a historical building so wouldn't expect anything else and thought it was pretty cool. The food was great! The double cheese burger was huge and the breakfast was spot on. The service was nice and welcoming. I could see the car park being an issue as it was nearly full when I arrived but can't do anything about that. I will definitely look into staying here again if I'm ever working out this way again.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, great location. However, when somebody wants a great night sleep it is not ideal. It was noisy up to 0100 in the morning, so, we did not get much sleep.

Stayed in a room in the older part of the hotel. Though dated, it was clean and comfortable. Will opt for newer chalets in the courtyard on next visit as I prefer modern and fresh. Staff on duty were ever so friends and helpful.

Wonderful staff! Emerise and his colleagues were very attentive and friendly. Stayed there twice now and would go back again. Made to feel welcome by the locals too.

We stayed there for 3 nights and I must say we were really positively surprised :) the Lady at the reception was so friendly, helpful and so easy to talk to 😊 absolutely amazing :) Room was bigger then expected and really clean. Beds were comfortable to sleep on. Bathroom was big and clean. Kitchenette was loaded with all of the necessary products: plates, pans, glasses, tea, coffee, sugar etc. And perfect location to explore the whole Anglesey :) Thank You :)

Nice spacious, clean room. Comfy bed. Coffee & tea provided. Continental breakfast. Friendly staff. Good value. Convenient location to explore Anglesey. Stayed a Saturday night, so the pub downstairs was very noisy till late and then from the street.

Great Welsh hospitality both from the hotel owners and from the people in the pub. Rooms cosy and clean. There's no restorant service, but it's allowed to bring take-away food from several nearby good places. This results a great money saving.

We just popped in for a rest whilst driving in the rain. The hot chocolate hit the spot, especially by the open fire. It was a jovial atmosphere mixed with locals and visitors.

Pizza restaurant
Today, a companion and I decided to visit the new eatery 'Popty Pizza' in Llangefni, Anglesey. In general, it was a pleasant encounter with delectable pizzas and helpful, amicable staff. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was enjoyable, with appealing decor and background music. For our main course, we ordered the Classic Margherita Pizza (priced at £8.50) which had a delightful combination of cheese and tomato flavors.
What a little gem, our first visit and we were not disappointed. lovely hand stretched pizzas ,great toppings , lovely relaxed place very friendly smiley staff.

We've become regulars here now and it's easy to understand why. The food is great, the staff are friendly and helpful, and it has a cozy atmosphere that's hard to find. A slow walk up from the carpark when the wild garlic is growing on a peaceful evening is probably one of my favourite things these days. Pizzas are cooked to order in the hybrid oven - it burns wood and gas. While you wait there's great selection of local drinks to choose from.
Dave Roberts — Google review
One of our favourite places to take the kids (and ourselves), the pizza is outstanding and reasonably priced. Not sure how they make the dough but it’s amazing. They also stock Brewdog non-alcoholic beer which is also a plus!
Roscoe Rutter — Google review
Fantastic Neapolitan style pizzas with a variety of different toppings. Great atmosphere to dine in, and in the summer the covered terrace has a cool ambience. Excellent selection of local beers. The guys at Popty really are down to Earth and friendly. Support local businesses and you won't regret it.

Today, me and a friend decided to visit the new 'Popty Pizza' Restaurant here in Llangefni, Anglesey. Overall, it was a really nice experience, with delicious pizzas and very helpful and friendly staff. We also liked the overall decor, music being played and the ambience of this restaurant. For my main meal I ordered a lovely tasting: Classic Margherita Pizza (£8.50), and my friend ordered the Ring of Fire Pizza (£11.50). We drank a Pepsi Cola and an Orange Juice too. I was delighted with and would highly recommend the Classic Margherita Pizza, with its very tasty cheese and tomato combination! :) So don't miss out! Why not give Popty Pizza a try? We will be going back for sure. Thank-you. :)

Excellent hand-stretched pizzas prepared in full view of the diners. Nice, innovative range too - hosein duck pizza was lovely. Add in friendly service, relaxed vibe, reasonable prices and it's a winner.

Absolutely fabulous restaurant, amazing thin crust pizza with the freshest ingredients and flavours that leave you wanting more. The goats cheese with sweet peppers and rocket was out of this world. Terrific menu choice and craft beers all topped off with friendly, attentive and efficient staff, what more could you want? Can’t wait to go back to work my way through the the rest of the menu, spoilt for choice. Thoroughly recommended!

A great find. Had an amazing meal here. The starters are full of flavour, the pizzas are huge, and the staff are the right combination of friendly and quick. Everything tastes fresh and cared for. And yes, they are very dog friendly.
Pete H — Google review
Tasty pizzas at a friendly and informal restaurant. Friendly staff and we were made to feel very welcome. The garlic bread was excellent, but the tomato puree on the pizzas had made the bases go a little soggy so the toppings slid off if we picked up a slice (solved by use of cutlery.). That said, I'd happily go back if we're in the vicinity in the future.

First time at Popty Pizza and we all loved it. Fantastic pizza, great service and friendly ambience. I had the Ring Of Fire pizza which was very good.

BEWARE IF YOU ARE VEGAN....they say they can do vegan pizza using vegan cheese. They use honey in the dough, they said a small percentage but they obviously have no idea what vegan is and that we don't eat it!! This is false advertising and they need to make it clear their pizza are not VEGAN. We had drinks and left.

Need to aware y’all that I’m typing it in a middle of a food coma. What a little gem. Everything was brilliant, service, food and ambience. I had the garlic prawns to start, and me and hubby both had the classic margherittas, they were simply to die for. We will be back! Thank you so much

Chinese takeaway
The Phoenix in Llangefni is renowned for serving the finest Chinese cuisine. Their salt and pepper chips are absolutely delicious and highly recommended. Over the years, many different dishes have been ordered from this establishment, all of which have been impeccable. This Chinese takeaway stands out as one of the best in comparison to others, even those found in Manchester where there are numerous options available. The portion sizes here are generous, particularly when it comes to their chips.
Really nice takeaway. Fresh, tasty and excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend :)
Kiera Jones — Google review
We used to really love this place, but I have had to delete my previous review in order to now write something I feel is more accurate. Their food is tasteless. They have changed how they do spring rolls, egg fried rice, heck, even the gravy now tastes horrific. I dare not order regular food here now, as I really do enjoy flavour - and I don't relish cardboard chicken in oil flavour black pepper sauce.
Emma Chantelle — Google review
Best Chinese takeaway I’ve honestly ever been to. I’m from Manchester where there’s loads and nothing can compare with the brilliant Phoenix!

Mmmmm 😍🤤 THE BEST Chinese in Llangefni, salt and pepper chips are to die for! Order a lot of different dishes from here over the years and couldn't fault a single one all lovely definitely my go to Chinese!

Food was great (set meal for 2 and noodles) but was over charged by nearly £10. We were told that was the price on the old menu , 3 Google search and every time came back with the same menu we had first seen. Very convenient excuse !!! if you ignore the fact you are legally required to ensure correct price’s are represented online or otherwise I would suggest they spend some time checking their misrepresentations
NAOMI GRADY — Google review
Had read a number of really positive reviews so we were looking forward to our first Chinese takeaway on Anglesey. Service in the shop was very efficient and friendly with good Covid control measures in place for people collecting in-store. When we sat down to our meal, we were just very underwhelmed and it's the first time in our history that we threw away most of the meal with no attempt to complete it. Very disappointed, sorry guys
Michael Winnard — Google review
You get a load of chips here. Always nice. They do chinese food and chippy food. The fish is amazingly massive.
Gayle Williams — Google review
I normally go to the Mandarin Garden further up the road but on Mondays, it's closed. The Kung Po Chicken was tasteless with cubed vegetables, the slimy slices of chicken were awful. The chips were decent because it's also a chippy. The prawn toast was horribly greasy and clearly not fresh. In comparison to my usual, this was a horrible alternative. The chippy side seems ok, but go elsewhere for Chinese takeaway.

Purchased Chicken Sweet and Sour...what a disappointment 😔...Chicken like Dental Floss, all veg raw, rice of unknown origin, not a whole grain to be seen, sauce, very little and unidentifiable as S&S sauce.......what little of this "food" I ate has rendered me housebound today... Definitely one to be avoided...🫣👎.

Good food, not the best I have had in my life, but good for the Island
Paul Palmer — Google review
Read the reviews & decided to try what a mistake that was. I seriously cannot understand the good reviews for the Chinese food. Extremely cheap reformed chicken being used that is so pumped full of water that it can't absorb any flavour but in fact waters down any flavour added the only saving grace we're the chilli ribs . I've worked in the food industry for near 30 years so I know what I'm talking about. This place is in my top 10 worse Chinese take aways & may be in the top 3. If you think the food is good & tasty I hate to think of what your used to. Ordered Chicken & mushrooms, yeung chow rice, satay chicken, sweet & sour Hong Kong chicken, egg fried rice & chilli ribs.

Can't falt the chips and sausage and sweet and sour chicken with rice I had. But removed one star because in this day and age when most of us do not carry cash, to find that they didn't take card payments was disappointing, luckily I just had enough to cover or would have had to go hungry. Can't see me going on when passing again don't want to have to stop in cash machine before eating.

Pub
The Foundry Vaults, a recommended venue by a friend, was the choice for a couple as their first customers of the day. The establishment had an empty setting and welcomed them with a polite and professional young male bartender. The food, although enjoyable, could have been warmer. The decor appeared worn but had a cozy charm. Both agreed they would return; however, when faced with deciding between The Foundry and Morrisons breakfast, they preferred the latter.
Friendly atmosphere, been going here for years.

Quite difficult to review. On one side the place looked fantastic inside with a proper sports bar feel. They had TV screens at each booth with a good selection of drinks. However the service wasn't great; the glasses were not clean; and a few dodgy characters. They also did not offer any food (even though it is showing food online...!) The reply to the review states no food offered online however this is not true. Simply Google and food is advertised everywhere... Something needs updating I think.
Martin Jones — Google review
My wife and I were recommended this venue by a friend. We were the first customers of the day, and the place was empty. The young Male bartender was very courteous and professional, making us feel welcome and right at home. The food itself was nice, but could have been a bit hotter. The decor wad old and tired looking, but kind of homely at the same time. My wife and I agree we'd go there again, but if it were a tossup between The Foundry and a Morrisons breakfast, we'd both go for Morrisons first. 4 out of 5 stars

Cafe
I discovered this wonderful cafe called Avondale Cafe that offers not only delicious food but also great service. Initially, I intended to order some baps, but to my surprise, I found out they had a cafe at the back. The prices were reasonable and the staff was extremely friendly. However, what truly stood out was the outstanding quality of their food. The portions were generous and the taste was exceptional.
My sister and I went in this morning for breakfast, we've never been before but reviews were good so we gave it a try. Staff are so lovely, friendly and helpful the food was just gorgeous! Every member of staff said good morning and goodbye to us which was really nice. Gorgeous food, reasonably priced pleasant atmosphere and lovely staff. This is my new go to breakfast spot.

Today I had a really great take-away Breakfast Box from the Avondale Cafe, here on Anglesey. For the price paid (please see my Menu picture), the food was really lovely and it has to be the best breakfast box that I have eaten this year! Thank-you. :)

Fabulous. Food tasty and hot. Prices really reasonable. Service excellent and staff attentive and friendly and rearranged the tables for the eight of us who arrived without warning. The sandwich board outside was scruffy looking but THANK GOODNESS we ignored it. Went back the next day for breakfast. Yum yum.

What can I say apart from I found this little gem 💎 Went to order some baps at first then saw that they had a cafe at the back . Food was a good price .staff were really friendly but when it came to the food .Well that was outstanding .really nice and large portions .I was so impressed that I will be going again just to try the Turkish breakfast just to see what it's like . It's so nice to try these cafes but it's even better when it's so nice .thought I would show you the menu but they also have specials on the board . My wife loved the lambs liver but I will take her word for that as I don't like liver but she loved it .

What can you say about a little cafe in the middle of a little town that's high street is on the decline. It's cheap and it's got reasonable food, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. We stop in here quite often when in town, visiting the docs, pharmacy or getting a haircut. Good for a coffee and a quick bite to eat before heading home.
Anomnomnomaly — Google review
I had a cracking and great value breakfast here, served by attentive and friendly staff. I had the Turkish breakfast special which was excellent and complemented the more traditional British breakfast offerings on the menu. Bravo for the innovation! This was in the cafe at the back which is clean and bright and airy. If you're doing an overnight in Llangefni, this has to be the place to go for morning scran.
