Tigaki

Laid-back Tigaki is a small resort known for sandy Barracuda and Lenas beaches. Informal bars, relaxed tavernas, and global eateries are ranged along the beachfront and the main street, with hotels and guesthouses dotting side streets. The nearby Alikis wetland reserve centers on a lagoon fed by both fresh and salt water which is home to migrating flamingos and pelicans outside the summer months.

This beach bar is perfect for enjoying the sun and sand during summer. Come evening, it transforms into a fun and vibrant place with an electric neon colours palette. Great food at great prices and top-notch service makes this a must-visit destination on your Tigaki vacation!
Great service, great and fresh food and it all comes at a low price. I strongly recommend to have at least one dinner here, when you are on holiday!

We had a blast! Both the bar and the beach are great. Sun beds are for free (gem in Tigaki) and there is service on the beach too. The bar is a bit pricy for food but super nice and chill for a night out and drinks. We loved it there - and the owner is very welcoming and friendly, got heaps of things on the house ✨
Phungi Spricht — Google review
Very nice bar. Good food - not the cheapest but good. Waiting staff unobtrusive. We had chicken gyros (pitta came in small triangles). Very flavoursome. Will definitely be back.
Sarah Rogers — Google review
I’ll start with the atmosphere which is pretty great for a beach bar and really well made compared with others on the island. The waiters were nice and friendly. As to the food, we liked very much the salad but the two main courses did not meet our expectations. The chops were more salty than needed and the steak a little bit chewy. On the plus side, they gave us free desert at the end which is a rarity on the island. We went there at the beginning of the season and we are willing to visit it again for another round to see if the food is better since the place is very well decorated and calming. If you just want a coffee by the sea, is the perfect place to go.

Beautiful place with friendly personal! The food was amazing and so fresh, I enjoyed it very much! Thank you for the amazing experience

Nice and cozy beach bar/restaurant with a good vibe and friendly staff. We basically chose a mix of starters. The desert was free of charge. The homemade lemonade was very tasty.

This place is amazing, went there with friends, Demetrich served us great. He is very friendly. The Mr Harris the owner is extremely polite. Definitely coming back. Deserves 10 stars. #reviewedbyaSouthafrican

We popped in for a coffee and some drinks. We were welcomed by the friendliest of people. The place is very nice, beautiful trees, relaxing atmosphere, good music, has a very good vibe.

Such a lovely place, we were welcomed warmly when we arrived. I ordered prawn orzo and my partner ordered the special burger- 2 beers to drink. The prawn pasta was really something special- I recommend it 100%, creamy and seasoned with saffron and seafood stock. Burger was lovely too. The guy who owns the place came over several times to check that we were happy and then gave us dessert on the house. The price is fantastic, €6 for a burger and fries and my orzo was the most expensive thing at €14 which is so reasonable for freshly cooked seafood.

The staff is nice and the food is absolutely amazing to a very fair price.

We visited here on multiple occasions during our trips to Tigaki Beach. The food is very good, the atmosphere and location are great but the staff make this place. They are really excellent- so friendly and helpful. 😀

Great beach pub with a good music from DJ, but the prices a bit expensive in comparison to other restaurants. Anyway I like the place, very modern and great food. Highly recommended!

The best food I have eaten in Kos! Absolute amazing! I can’t even recommend one thing as it was all amazing! Right on the beach and sun beds are free if you’re buying g food and drink. Actual restaurant across the road if you want to get out of the sun at midday like us. Staff all friendly and helpful. 10/10!

I wish Holland had so much good restaurants in a row! Here I must recommend the smoke trout on pita..omg i eat a lot of trout but this one is one of the best! Tomorrow i will be back, maybe for the burrata, but probably for the trout... Relaxed, Chill staff, nice food Came back for the trout. Was recognized. They have eye for you, especially the guy with the nose piercing. Even when you sit in the back and drop your knife, immediately you will get new one. Very thoughtful, it makes you feel seen. Rest of staff also very nice.On saturday live dj with really nice beachy lounge music. Ps after lunch you get nice small attention like fruit, or a little dessert... O and the cocktails, little expensive but worth the workhours!!

Great restaurant, went here a few times on mine and my partners 10 night stay in Kos Palace, Tigaki. The place looks stunning and the food is of good value. After our meal on 2 occassions we were given complimentary desserts which was a nice surprise and you get given a big glass bottle of water upon taking a seat. The portions are really good too. Def recommend!!

Skavos was our waiter and introduced us to the restaurant.. only for a drink of homemade Lemonade.. then food kept coming out and boy we wanted some ... to date our best experience of a Greek restaurant.. we had the large salad with chicken.. like no other you'll love it - efharisto

Amazing place ! I would highly recommended without any doubts. Yes, you might wait longer for the food but it means everything is made from scratches and fresh, not frozen. We were there every single day during our stay in Kos for breakfast/lunch/dinner and everything was very tasty. Not mentioned about the service and the owner who cares about every client.

Very nice beach bar. Good food, wide variety of different tastes and prices aligned with other restaurants. Staff is very very friendly (thanks A lot Dimitra for your kindness and patience!) strongly recommend this place. Ah, by the way, you also have free sunbed/umbrellas!

Meni Beach Hotel is a luxurious property located on the north coast of Kos. It features a refined restaurant, pools and views to Tigaki Beach.
Most comfortable beach loungers ever. It was like being in a comfy bed! All for 8€ 2 beds with umbrella. Great service front row beach view! We’ll be back!
Barry Cook — Google review
Beautiful hotel, love the style, but the rooms are not that clean. The shower flooded the whole bathroom area, every day. The beach loungers cost extra, drinks and meals are quite expensive but good. You can get drinks delivered to the beach. The breakfast is okay, but there are not many options for vegans, so we had the same thing every morning. The view is great! We DID enjoy our stay but there is not much entertainment during the day and way fewer days would have done the trick for us.
Bri Bürkle — Google review
Great hotel, highly recommended ! Modern design and new furniture. Located on the main road but still very quiet rooms and quiet relaxing pool. Staff super friendly, everything very clean, comfortable rooms. Good breakfast, very good diner with a large variety of plates to choose from (1 week not enough to taste them all). Beach is 100m away, excursions office, bars, restaurants, nightlife and super markets are just a few feet away on the main Tigaki road. Would definitely go again.

Beautiful hotel, lovely staff , very clean. Food good ,breakfast great.very close to the beach everything on the door step next door super market ,nice shops across the road ,take away or eat in gyros . bike hire across the road. Excursion shop across the road. Perfect spot .

Very beautiful place. Cappuccino high quality.
Jasbras — Google review
The area is awful. It’s cheap, it’s everything but authentic. It’s all cheesy bars and souvenir shops and has zero flair. The hotel itself was ok. It’s imitating the style of many much more expensive hotels (clean design, earthy colours, …). The included breakfast was a big letdown: almost no fruits, greasy eggs and sausages and filter coffee. Charging 2€ for a cappuccino also makes little sense in my opinion. On the positive side, you have the beach right next to the hotel (10€ for 2 sun beds). You also get served there, which is a really nice plus.
Caspar — Google review
Fantastic location 2 minute direct walk to the beach. Close to restaurants and next to a supermarket. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room 313 faces the beach, large and modern. Comfortable bed and pillows. Away from street noice. Good air conditioner but also air flow. No power point in reach of a mirror to use a blow dryer. Pool is very good but the grass needs some care. Breakfast offers lots of options. Taxi from the port was 19 euros but public bus is also available.
Julie Petersen — Google review
We waited a bit long for a checking because our ac was defect and got fixed. The Hotel area looks very nice and is 100% my taste. Our room was Okay. Sadly the bathroom was very small and only contained a toilet and a shower. The sink was in the bedroom wich was terrible and could have done better. The beach is one minute away and all shuttle busses stop right in front
Jonas Frey — Google review
We spent our vacation in the Cook's Club Hotel. The food is amazingly good!! The rooms are nice and the beach is just a few minutes away. The pool has a perfect chilling area and the cats are my personal highlight. A big prop to the whole staff, because they are the whole time so friendly and helpful!

This hotel is GREAT! From check-in until check-out everything went smooth and just perfectly. This is probably the best hotel in Tigaki. We celebrated my birthday and they fulfilled all of our requests (room decoration and birthday cake). The employees are super nice and always helpful too. It‘s always the small details that matter and this hotel knows how to satisfy their guests. The rooms are very spacious, nice and new. Breakfast was good with quite a big selection. Food in the restaurant is very tasty and of high quality. The management here is 5* I appreciate this a lot :) Will come back for sure!

Amazing hotel, even better than I expected. Lovely staff, especially - Antonio in the bar, George in the restaurant and Anastazia in the pool bar. Love the decor/ aesthetic and very comfy bed, great location and lovely pool.
Bohemian Raspberry — Google review
Most definitely not a 4 star hotel as advertised. Don’t be fooled by the filtered pictures and the cool Instagram account of the hotel, this is barely a 2 star hotel. Staff was super nice but we quickly realized upon arrival they were overworked and overwhelmed. Furniture that I’m guessing was nice when it was first bought it is now completely used and it shows. We even found food stains in the outside couches so I’m guessing they weren’t oftened cleaned. The pool area is ok but they need to refill the puffs as they look very much used and uncomfortable. The hotel room itself had enough space. However, the walls were filled with dead mosquitoes and blood stains all over them but after spending three nights here I can understand why - place is crawling with mosquitoes which of course is not the hotel’s fault BUT after staying in another Airbnb in the island I can assure a lot of stays there have mosquito nets so don’t really understand why they haven’t added any being a 4 star hotel. BED WAS AWFUL. I’ve slept in better beds in hostels. It had at least ten years of use as you can see in the picture. The shower head was dirty and did not work because of lack of manteinance. The room had an awful smell as it wasn’t ventilated in the past two years. But of course you couldn’t open the window unless you wanted all the mosquitoes in and the awful smell of fried food from the cantina below. To top it off we discovered their so called “towel service” only includes a towel (which were always unavailable unless you asked for one at 8am) and you need to pay 10 euros to use their Beach area, which is worth mentioning is open to the public so very quickly fills up. I know that the price per night is not super expensive when comparing to other hotels in the are with similar aesthetic but please keep in mind this is far from 4 stars. Just avoid, there are far better places within the island to stay.

Located directly opposite the shoreline, Alikes is a Greek eatery that provides breathtaking vistas of the sea, nearby islands, and mountain settlements. The upper dining area, which is open-air, offers an ideal setting to appreciate the surrounding environment while indulging in their delectable offerings such as lamb chops, stifado beef stew, steak or slouvaki.
Amazing place to watch the sunset. Set on 3 levels, lots of chance to see the sunset. Food was amazing, Greek salad and garlic bread starter. We all had the mixed grill ( a single and mixed for 2) lots of flavour and portion size was amazing for the very cheap cost of it. As the mosquitos came out so did the mosquito repelling candles that worked really well. Atmosphere was amazing, relaxed and fantastic views.

Had good souvlaki with best fries I had in Tigaki. Sharp pricing and a very nice view.

We have been visiting Tigaki for nine years and recommend visiting Alikes restaurant. Food, service and the setting is in my opinion the best. Great portions and cooked to perfection. Staff are so attentive and friendly. Please realise you are in Kos so take in the setting (including the beautiful cats) and take your time enjoying the relaxing atmosphere that the Alikes offers, as you will never feel rushed.

Absolutely stunning and authentic Greek food. Great service, not too talkative but also not disturbing. We had a very good time in this restaurant sharing a couple of plates between four. The service was forthcoming and quick, the food itself very good. The price at the end was the best: all of this didn't cost too much so we left a good tip. Thanks!

Everything very good, the food, the service, the place, and a very good white wine. We enjoy the evening. Perfect place for dinner close the salt lake.

Absolutely a bliss! Would 100% come back and recommend. If you can, get a table upstairs - it’s a stunning sunset view. The food is incredibly delicious and authentic. We shared some Mezes for dinner and it’s very, very reasonable pricing. For Tigaki, we felt this was the best value for the best price! The staff is very friendly as well - really there was nothing to complain about. If you’re close by this is a must!!!

Definitely the best grilled kalamari I've ever had - I was surprised how tender can it be. Fried feta cheese with honey simple, but super delicious! In top of that prices are great 😉 great experience!

Fancy some Greek tapas (meze)? This restaurant is the perfect choice! You can order cold and warm tapas. The selection is very large and the portions were sufficient. Everything tasted very good :) Especially the tzaziki is fantastic! Service was friendly and both the drinks and the food were brought very quickly. We definitely recommend this place!

Best restaurant in the city. Wonderfull tapas. Very nice atmosphere and decoration. Owner is very kind and the sweets she bakes - best I've eaten in the Kos. I recommend it for a romantic dinner or just as a short and delicious break.

We had a nice dinner here. The Meze are delicious and the place is very lovely. We also got some Lokomades as dessert for free :) It’s nothing overly spectacular tho, you can go if you’re in Tigaki but not a must go. Still one of the better places in Tigaki I would say!

Wow what an amazing find. So friendly, amazing good quality food and great traditional Greek decor. It was fairly priced and average cost for a meal in Kos. One of 2 favourite places to eat in Kos that we tried, we tried many.

Having been here a week, I can't recommend this place enough! It has genuinely been one of the highlights of the trip. It's easy in Greece to find good food, as well as good hospitality, but the overall experience of this venue is scarcely matchrd in kos - i eoukd recommend getting there early for a more intimate experience, not to be missed!!!

Esperos is a charming eatery that offers an assortment of Greek and Mediterranean dishes, as well as a wide variety of international favorites. Nestled by the shoreline, this restaurant presents patrons with an extensive selection including Italian, British, Indian, and Thai cuisine. Guests can indulge in delectable options such as burgers, pasta, and curry while enjoying the scenic view.
Dinner with a couple of locals and all really impressed with food service and atmosphere. I loved the lamb which is oven cooked in a parcel with potatoes carrots and feta. The lamb fell off the bone and melted in my mouth. The beef ribs looked amazing and apparently tasted as good like the fish. We all work in the food industry so hard to please but this was amazing. The food on Kos is great however this was a level above.

Stopped in for a drink and a light snack during the day. We had a fresh orange juice and homemade lemonade - the lemonade was AMAZING! Really fresh and ice cold drinks, absolutely hit the spot and refreshed us as needed. The ‘Ice Cream Special’ however was not great. It was 1/3 whipped cream which was quite lumpy, and the ice cream flavours included were just bubblegum and mango, after being told it was a ‘variety of fruity summery flavours’. We didn’t each much of it and just enjoyed the drinks instead.
