The Monastery is huge and the largest Buddhist Monastery in India. It was established almost 450 years ago. The atmosphere is serene and the prayer hall huge & impressive. Though the old structure was made of wood, it's been renovated with concrete although the old facade has been maintained. We were lucky to be taken around by a Lama who explained the significance of the Monastery and also explain the artefacts in the Museum. The Museum is worth a visit as it has pictures of the various dignitaries who've visited the place and also some quaint artefacts of yore including those belonging to the one who built the Monastery. There were no tickets for the Monastery per se, but there was an entry fee of Rs. 20/- for the Museum. Definitely worth a visit when in Tawang.

The location is quite close to Tawang town. The way this place captures every detail about the 1962 Indo China war is commendable. Its incredibly well maintained and well preserved. It's overwhelming to read about the stories of sacrifice and valour of the Indian soldiers during this war. The museum has artifacts, photographs and things used by the army during the war like helmets, guns etc. We missed the light and the sound show because we were late (happens usually between 4 to 5 pm). Visit this along with the Bumla pass so as to remember these unsung heroes who laid down their lives for our country in the harshest weather conditions and a difficult terrain as this one.

A beautiful Stupa is built in memory of the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives in 1962 Indo-china war.Located a stone's throw from Tawang town, the memorial has been designed using Buddhist architectural and cultural elements, including prayer wheels and flags, colourful serpents, dragons and Buddhist relics. PTso lake is easily my favourite lake in the whole of Tawang. Since it's one of the largest or so to say the longest lake in Tawang, there's so much to explore in this lake. The lake is frozen during winter starting from January. The place surrounding the lake is covered by snow during winter and it's covered by lapis flower and rhododendron during summer. So basically the lake looks awesome throughout the year. The lake is also a home to different colorful birds. Lastly, don't forget to wear gloves and warm jacket if you're visiting during winter.

We visited the lake in 2022 and we had an awesome experience at Panga Teng Tso lake. The freezing cold and the sight of the frozen water made it a unique and beautiful view. I spent some quality time there, taking in the stunning surroundings. However, one thing I noticed was the absence of public toilets nearby, which could be inconvenient for visitors. Despite that, I would still recommend Panga Teng Tso lake for its natural beauty and serene atmosphere. It's definitely worth a visit

Indescribable views of the snow. I went in the beginning of April and it had been snowing for the last few days. We could only go upto the frozen lake and had to turn back rather than going upto Y Junction and beyond. It was difficult reaching there with cars stalling, but the place more than made up for everything. The never ending snow topped mountains and the snow on the ground, with the sun playing peek-a-boo, gave us ample opportunities to click photos and enjoy ourselves. The lake itself was reachable only from one small path, but we were so busy enjoying ourselves in the snow that by the time we reached it, it was time to head back. It was the best part of my trip to Arunachal.
