Very friendly place for takeaway. There was an issue with our order, something missing, and they were very friendly and helpful about it. The fish and chips was very nice as were the mushy peas, but the Whitby scampi was really good!

I ordered from here a while ago and the food was awful, the chips were hard, the fish was wet and the curry sauce was like water. I thought I'd given them the benefit of doubt and tried again a couple days ago. The food was still the same, and they missed an item from the order. I contacted them regarding this and they didn't even bother to reply. So not only is the food terrible but so is their customer service. Would definitely not recommend to anyone Edited to add: the email I sent had gone in to spam, but they are now sorting out a refund for the missing item.

So lucky to have this place in town ..the best takeaway food. Service superb and friendly. Food well packaged and piping hot. Most important of all food is exceptional 😀

I never ate here because they only do; eat in at lunch times and they are only open until half seven for evening takeaway.....really! Does that change in the summer months? Anyway I can't judge the actual food quality. I'm sure someone else will say if it is actually worth sitting down at lunch time to enjoy their fish and chips and perhaps some mushy peas. I was asked to provide a review of where I had 'visited', so explained that I hadn't actually eaten there and the reason why. I had been hoping to sit down in the evening. From the other reviews I've now read, it would seem your restaurant is actually worth visiting to try your fish and chips and I look forward to doing so when I'm next in South Molton. I still find it odd that you are only open until 7.30 is it, in the evenings but obviously if you have explored all options then you have found that to be the best. I appreciate, especially after 2 years of lockdowns, how difficult it is for businesses to survive let alone make good profits. I wish you well for the future and will definitely come and try your fayre when next in South Molton.

We had excellent fish and chips we were able to sit in to eat even though we had a takeaway also allowed us to have the dog in with us very friendly staff.

Friday nights can be busy I appreciate but waited well over an hour for food having been told 20minutes. If you want to have dinner best ordering at lunch…

Good food reasonably priced, but long wait for Take away(at least on the day and time I was there) if you haven’t pre ordered.

The food from here is amazing, we stayed close by for a week and gave it a go. We ordered online with a time slot and the food was ready on time. A must go if you're staying nearby.

Lovely food and friendly service. Fried breakfast was almost perfect and poached eggs on toast were perfectly cooked. Venue could do with a little bit of a tidy up but was out of season .....

Excellent food stopped in for two full English breakfasts didn't want tomatoes on both of them so was offered an extra slice of bacon. Didnt have to wait to long for food to arrive when it did was clearly freshly cooked & piping hot. Food was not over priced & polite & professional service highly recommended.

We tried to go here yesterday morning for breakfast, as we arrived we waited by the door for service for a good 5 minutes. Wasn't the end of the world as we took the opportunity to look at menu's and decide what we'd like. The coffee that the customers who were sat down drinking looked good and we had all seen something we liked the sound of. However when we were finally approached by a member of staff they told us they were just doing takeaways.. in spite of the fact there were 6 + people already sat in.

Great Food, good service and nice garden out the back to enjoy the sun. Well worth a visit.

BIT OF A LATE REVIEW BUT JUST BEEN JULTTED BY GOOGLE, BEEN A WHILE SINCE IVE BEEN IN HERE AND I WAS ONCE REGULAR BUT ON MY LAST VISIT I WAS VERY RUDDLY SPOKEN TO BY THE LADY OWNER. SNAPPY AND MISERABLE AND LOOKED LIKE SHE WAS SUCKING ON A SOUR SWEET, SO I LEFT AND HAVE NOT BEEN BACK IN SINCE ,

Coffee was good but cheese omelette awful. Swimming in oil , overcooked on one side. Only eat a couple of mouthfuls.Certainly didn't look or taste like an omelette. I told the waitress and said she'd advise the chef ! Shame as eaten there many times

Popped in randomly with my 10 year old son as we was waiting for a mot to be completed and was met by a nice lady behind the counter ordered our drinks one coffee and one hot chocolate my son absolutely loved his hot chocolate and my coffee was perfect. I would leave a review for food but unfortunately we didn't get the time to order any but will next time. Many thanks

The staff were excellent, very friendly, helpful yet still professional. The cake and drinks were nice, service was speedy but you didn’t feel rushed . Also toilets were immaculate.

Food was really nice but the service was far from ideal. We weren’t made to feel particularly welcome as the staff seemed a bit grumpy. Everything was plonked on the table with no interaction whasover. It was very quiet and would have benefitted from background music rather than listening to the staff saying ‘I’m ready to go home now’. Shame as the food and the variety was nice.

Updated 20230720. Still lovely and still had a great range of coffee. The Sumatran cafetiere is amazing. New place, fab coffee, fab scrambled eggs. Exactly what was needed for a second breakfast having driven for two hours

Previous visits to South Molton seeking food and drink have been disappointing. Today was the exception. I came across Zest where the friendly and efficient staff served me very well in a cafe with a pleasant ambience. The coffee tasted good and was beautifully presented. The scrambled eggs on toast with salmon flakes was excellent and flakes is an understatement: it was a generous portion. If I am passing through South Molton again this will definitely be the place I visit.

Good food. Staff welcoming but not attentive. I had a tomato omelette and chips and my husband enjoyed a delicious fish stew, with lots of fish!

clean and tidy . staff polite . got us in without a booking ( lucky ) .... staff very helpful. food was nice and burger was nice and tasty. and good prices . 👍 will definitely use again when I come back to South molton .

The two young waitresses were so cheerful, it was lovely. The soup was tasty Our first visit, we'd certainly go again.

Really delicious home cooked food very friendly owners . Very dog friendly . This was our third visit and we shall keep going back when we are in South molton . Very creative varied menu the Butternut Squash Soup absolutely yummy .. And Duke our dog had a sausage which we ordered especially for him and he enjoyed it under the table so we all highly recommend this well run ,very clean local cafe .Thank you S M & 🐾

I love the Lazy Daisy. I'm local. I walk in after lock down and couldn't wait to go back. The food is awesome. The staff are friendly. I had ham, egg and chips with brown sauce and salt and for a drink the beautiful chocolate milkshake. 200 Million out of 10. It was great. Very tasty as usual and set me up for my day well. The art work and look is lovely in there and it is a relaxed setting. Everything is clean and the food is very tasty. It is suitable for families and people of all ages. One day a couple came up to me from out of town and asked where they could eat. I recommended the Lazy Daisy and they thanked me afterwards as obviously they had no complaints and only praise for the excellent cafe that is accessed easily from the main part of South Molton. Suitable for locals and for people passing by. It's classy. Lovely all round. Enjoy!

What a lovely little cafe. Very welcoming, friendly and attentive. Service with a smile. I went for the jkt spud five bean chilli, WOW it was to die for, just the right kick, not overpowering and very filling. Defo be back again when on our travels. A BIG THANK YOU to all staff. 5*

Walked in with my son in a pushchair and was able to keep him in it without blocking the way. Staff asked if I wanted a high-chair for him which was nice, but not needed. Latte was a very good size, a little hot to drink straight away but wasn't in a rush. Nice bacon sandwich and everyone there seemed to love the place and a very friendly vibe. Will definitely go back.

We chose to visit this lovely cafe due to the ‘dogs welcome’ sign outside and were very glad we did. Although they were very busy the team were lovely. We only popped in for a sandwich but seeing what others were eating changed our minds and we chose chilli snd curry with chips! It really was delicious! Just right for a rainy day. Really good value for proper homemade food. Highly recommended.

Visited this dog friendly cafe for a drink, the staff working are lovely. Ice cream and Luxury milkshakes were a hit with the kids. The dog enjoyed his little treat.

Dog friedly! Just had breakfast and very much enjoyed it. The food was cooked freshly and a sausage I ordered for my dog was chopped up for me ready to give to him. Friendly service made it perfect, will visit again.

A friendly, unpretentious place. Tasty pub grub with good portions at reasonable prices. Homemade steak pie was hearty and goan veg curry was tasty, the setting is clean, a little old fashioned (no Farrow and Ball here!) but recommended without hesitation.

What an absolute pleasure! Working away all the while can have it’s downfalls but when getting back to our hotel (the George hotel, also lovely) and looking for somewhere to go for a drink and finding somewhere like the coaching inn makes it an absolute pleasure. We walked in to a lovely atmosphere to be greeted by the most lovely landlady. She single handled slashed the north south divide in half for me ( myself being a midlander and more often than not being taken aback by ‘some’ southerners mannerisms when living away from home) whilst being offered a drink we were met by hilarious banter and pandered to in regards to our random light bite requests. (Cheesy chips with something hot). We were always chasing the card machine to pay after each round to pay and the lovely landlady stated that as long as we weren’t fast runners she wasn’t worried 😂I’m rambling on as what should have been a quick pint after work turned into multiple pints simply due to the staffs attentiveness and fantastic service and being made to feel truly welcome. I have never left a pub feeling the need to leave a review. Until Now. Miserable git pub landlords/lady’s follow suit!

Amazing customer service. We had lunch here today as a large group. The staff were really friendly and had a great sense of humour. The food was lovely and great value.

The staff here could not have been more helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and even the resident dog behaved impeccably.

In the area for a short break and tried this following the good reviews and the fact it had parking. I was not disappointed the food was brilliant and the place had a classic pub feel to it. The staff were friendly and it was well priced.

Had a lovely evening in the Coaching Inn. Staff are so friendly and very helpful. I was down in South Molton viewing property. Staff and customers were able to give me some great advice about the area and potential jobs. Highly recommend this place

We stopped for lunch and had 2 x home made steak and kidney puddings and 1 cottage pie. All 3 meals were fantastic! And the portions were big. The pie was outstanding. We also sampled the Dutch apple pie, which was delicious too. W W
