Aobadai Park is a delightful local park that offers various amenities for people of all ages. The park boasts a ball field, playground, and beautiful gardens with mature trees providing ample shade from the summer heat. Children can enjoy seasonal water features, sandboxes, fountains, and streams to play in. There are also bathrooms and drink vending machines on-site.
Great park, lots of mature trees for shade, variety of play equipment including slide, sandpit, flying fox, fountains and stream for children to play in the water. Highly recommend it. About 15min from south exit of Asaka station.

It's really great local park in the summertime. The water features are really lovely for the kids. It has sandbox play area. Park is equipped with drink vending machine and bathrooms (bathrooms not so great). Trees offer shade from the summer sun. Other seasons I'd give it a star less.

10-15min walk from the south exit of Asaka Station. There isn’t much shade on the walk so don’t forget your hat - not is the park very shady so definitely need a hat and shades, too! It’s a lovely park though, quite wide and the sunset from there is gorgeous. Lots of fun for kids playing creatively. The NPO that facilitates risky play only operates certain days a month so check that out ahead of time, or bring a ball and just have a kick around with your family or friends.

(Translated by Google) It's the perfect place to bask in the sun. I have used a tent to dry clothes. There is also a basketball goal. On the tax office side, there are people who are enjoying slacklining and people who are doing activities for children to enjoy nature. Asaka no Mori has a slightly winding loop course. Be careful of pedestrians, but it's perfect for practicing riding a bicycle. Recently, it has become a venue for events. The show was lively, with classic Showa cars on display. This is a place that is likely to be used more and more widely in the future.

The park itself is not large and there are no play equipment. There were a lot of families, so there were a few people walking their dogs. The neighboring Aobadai Park is still a little easier to walk around. There are play equipment, toilets, and vending machines. There is no parking lot here. I thought I wouldn't repeat it. Takinone Park is a fascinating outdoor area that boasts a lush forested urban setting, complete with a serene koi pond and winding wooden walkways. Designed especially for elementary school-aged children, the park features an array of exciting play equipment such as kid-friendly slides, challenging climbing ropes, and an impressive mini-suspension bridge. For those seeking adventure in nature, Takinone Park also offers a unique hanging bridge set amidst breathtakingly beautiful surroundings.
Great place for elementary age kids to play. Climbing ropes and lots of challenges

This is a small public park situated on a steep hillside. It has its own waterfall, hence the name. The huge trees give plenty of shade even for the play area. Most places are accessible via steps, so those with sore legs will find this place difficult to enjoy. The toilets are at the foot of the hill. Recommended if you are living nearby or visiting someone.

That alone is a ★5. However, I went in mid-July and there were a lot of mosquitoes around the playground equipment, so insect repellent was a must. In addition, mosquitoes were only found in areas with play equipment (mystery). There were turtles and carp in the pond, and the children were happy. The suspension bridge swayed a little, so my 3-year-old child had a lot of fun. Most of the park is shaded by trees, making it perfect for hot days. (Translated by Google) A park located in a forest on a slope that looks beautiful at first glance. However, there is unusually little undergrowth, the soil is exposed, and every time it rains, muddy water flows down the slope, so sandbags are piled up, making the park look like a flood-stricken area. The muddy water scrapes the soil around the foundations of toilets and playground equipment, and the slopes are slippery, so be careful when playing. By the way, the reason this happened is because the elderly neighbors felt uncomfortable and cut down or pulled out all the undergrowth in the park (bamboo grass, ferns, grasshoppers, and various other things). In the summer, even if there are children playing around, running around with a brush cutter may be refreshing, but it is not only a nuisance, but also dangerous. I feel bad that the roots of the large trees are exposed due to the muddy water. There are many fine trees here, but I can clearly see that they are not taken care of. The officials are also amateurs who are assigned on a rotating basis, so they cannot understand the situation even if they see the scene, and the old man seems to be untouchable, or rather, he seems to be busy trying to please the old man. Recently, things have become more and more meaningless, such as planting grass even though it's a park with poor sunlight and poor water drainage. The Western grass was so bushy that it looked like grass in a meadow, and I was able to understand the high level of management skills of the golf course. Also, even though the underbrush is cut down, evergreen shrubs such as the Japanese bush are allowed to grow freely, making the forest dark and poorly ventilated, making it a paradise for bush mosquitoes in the summer. By the way, the above-mentioned old man is said to be the representative of a park volunteer group officially recognized by Asaka City, but the existence, purpose, work plan, regulations, etc. of the group are not disclosed at all, and I feel that the city hall is in the dark, or rather, the management is so disorganized that I am disappointed. It grows. Don't government offices prune trees? However, I have never seen azaleas blooming in early spring because a contractor comes to trim the azaleas every year in midsummer after flower buds have formed and removes the buds. Furthermore, all fallen branches and leaves are disposed of as garbage, so there are almost no insects that need fallen leaves. The larvae of stag beetles and beetles grow in humus, but they cannot exist without accumulated fallen leaves. The stream where the children are fishing for crayfish is said to be a firefly stream, but there is no environment in which fireflies can grow anymore. Even though they talk about SDGs and biodiversity promotion, they seem satisfied with just creating documents. It would be a better environment if the Green Park Division was abolished and all management was outsourced to an external management company.

(Translated by Google) Thanks to the kindness of President Susaki of Marunuma Warehouse, I am always able to see paintings and sculptures by famous artists. Today, October 9, 2022, was an exhibition by Andrew Wyeth. It seems that many of the works that the president collects are drawings, watercolors, and other works that show the creation process so that they can be used as reference for the artists he supports, and today we will talk about how Wyeth conceived and completed the works. The creation process was displayed in an easy-to-understand manner, including the initial rough sketch, and sketches that lined up ideas for how to draw the hand part in the middle of the process. Asaka doesn't really feel like art, but it's a nice place where you can suddenly feel like an artist when you come here. There is a wealth of video materials, and it feels more like a museum where you can learn by watching rather than reading. Although it is a small museum that has the feel of a municipal building, it is quite large in scale and includes a working full-scale model of a water wheel that was used in the copper rolling industry. The focus is on ancient and modern times, and I get the impression that the Kamakura and Muromachi periods, the so-called medieval period, are missing, but I think that this kind of museum is putting a lot of emphasis on it, so you can come and see it nearby. It also makes full use of the touch panel and provides easy-to-understand explanations with images and audio. Furthermore, you can enjoy studying Asaka's history through quizzes and goroku format. It seems that Asaka had a thriving copper rolling industry. Copper elongation is the process of stretching copper or brass into plates, tubes, etc. It seems to have its origins at the end of the Edo period, when copper was drawn using a waterwheel to take advantage of the abundant water sources. The waterwheel has been restored and is on display in the courtyard and exhibition hall. It actually moves. Please watch the video. The exhibition space is a reproduction of a Showa tea room and is interesting. Replica food is reproduced on the chabudai. Will smartphones be displayed in museums in the next few decades? There is a pond in the courtyard where you can feed the fish.
