The Rocquette Cider Farm is a delightful spot to visit, with knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff who conduct interesting tours around the site. The tour concludes with a tasting session of locally produced ciders, liquors, cheeses, and chutneys that are sure to tickle your taste buds. The private bar on the plot creates an excellent ambiance for social gatherings or office parties. Even if one is not fond of cider, they can still appreciate the informative tour and enjoy the drinks afterward.
Best cider tour/tasting experience! Stunning walk and talk around the orchards and lots of different ciders/gin/vodka to taste afterwards

Group, ranging from 6 to 50, went on tour. Lovely Victoria hosted with humour and knowledge. Great time at end tasting all the ciders, gin and vodka liqueur , chutneys and cheese. Nice way to spend 90 mins. Even the dogs are welcome.

Fantastic cider tour. Ben last year on the tour was brilliant. Loved it
Zoe Swan-Taylor — Google review
Did an office social here. Tour was led by Craig, very interesting walk around the site followed by some drinks in an awesome little private bar on the plot. Not a cider drinker myself but still really enjoyed the tour and drinks after. Would recommend.
James Hookway — Google review
This is 5 star cider and I always make sure I get a few to bring back to the UK when I visit Guernsey! I haven't been on the tour yet as I usually visit family off-season, but wanted to give credit for such a good product.

We did the cider tour, was really interesting, and we got to try the ciders, spirits, and chutneys afterwards

We took a group of customers along to the Rocquettes Cider Tour and everyone had a thoroughly brilliant time. The team are so knowledgeable and enthusiastic and looked after us brilliantly. Well done for such a great, entertaining couple of hours in such a beautiful setting. The tasting and cheeses were delicious

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Craig, the tour guide was very sweet and funny. The tasting at the end was good, with different ciders, liquors and cheese with chutney all from Guernsey. Definitely worth a visit.

Beaches
Vazon Bay is a lovely sandy beach located on the northwestern coast of Guernsey. It's the largest public beach on the island, measuring approximately one and a half miles long. Visitors can enjoy a vast expanse of sand during low tide, clear waters that are ideal for swimmers, and a nice cafe. This popular tourist spot is easily accessible by bus and features a surf school.
A very favourite bay for watching the natural world go by, as well as the human world too. 👍

These photos are from visits at different times of the year. Vazon, and neighbouring Cobo Bay, are the best beaches in Guernsey.

Gorgeous with the sea was full of surfers. Clean and fresh, loved the whole experience and met some very warm and friendly locals too!

My brother and Daddy went to Vazon Bay in Guernsey just for a walk today because the beach on Vazon Bay is much similar to the one in Soller Mallorca in Spain back on 29th July 2022 and it is a nice beach that it has got white sand and that's it and it just like the one in Soller Mallorca in Spain on 29th July 2022 and my brother and Daddy went to this beach today while I was fast asleep in the cabin with Mum.

Luke Barnett — Google review
Stopped there on my way home from work for a coffee. One of the longest beaches in Guernsey good for a long walk from one end and back at low water or half tide, at high water you have to walk on the path and then the promenade in good weather as on windy days the waves hit the seawall so hard the water can reach 30feet high drenching you.
Lynton Carre — Google review
Clear waters, not too busy (even though school holidays) and has a nice cafe. One of the two main tourist beaches on Guernsey. Easy to get to by bus. The water here was warmer than the other main tourist beach a Pembroke Bay so would recommend it for swimmers. There's also a surf school here. Be warned, it's very shallow with a large tide so make sure you're prepared to walk a long way to the water. If the tide is coming in, make sure your gear is right up by the sea wall or you'll find your stuff getting wet!

Heritage museum
The National Trust of Guernsey Folk and Costume Museum is a delightful display of Guernsey's past, situated in the beautiful Sausmarez Park. Visitors can explore a reconstructed parlour, kitchen and schoolroom from a century ago and view toys that prepared children for adulthood. The museum also showcases intricate dolls' houses, farming equipment, and displays on famous Guernsey tomatoes. Fashion enthusiasts will enjoy the 1928 party attire exhibit.
Lovely museum with interesting items from Guernsey's history. Great insight into how people lived, showing items from the past 250 years. You can see an original, traditional and unique Guernsey Jumper among other garments and costumes. There is parking in Saumarez Park near the Adventure playground so if using satnav aim for there. Also good to visit is the Victorian Walled Kitchen Garden

What a lovely little find during our time in Guernsey. My daughter who is 18 wanted to visit and it was really worth it. A history of the island community through items and a fabulous costume exhibition with dresses of a past era. In the middle of a lovely park and the Victorian Walled Garden next door it was a great morning out.

Great tourist venue and good place to explore the old Guernsey. Free parking, in a lovely park, great venue especially in less than perfect weather, to take the kids. Nice cafe with inside and outside seating.

Nature & Parks
Saumarez Park, the largest public park in Guernsey, should not be mistaken for Sausmarez Manor. The manor serves as a residential and nursing home, while the grounds are open to all visitors. Its features include the National Trust of Guernsey Folk & Costume Museum, a playground for children, a duck pond and a cafe. The park boasts an exquisitely crafted restored pagoda and is adorned with stunning plants, flowers and trees.
Although later in the year October. All was open and a most interesting property to visit, the different working skils of the past featured was verywell done. The display of gowns, bags, waste coats was impressive. Also a fantastic dolls house. The cafe offerd a good selection of good food to suit most tasts at a good price .

Beautiful park, great children's area, stunning plants, flowers and trees, cafe, shops, museum, lake, Lovely to walk around too. Definitely worth a visit.
J W — Google review
A place to go where hearing someone shout DUCK could mean a delightful encounter with waterfowl, or a near miss of a football to your head Used to be someone's back garden, which shows Saumarez was just mildly absurdly wealthy in his day - a real treasure to be donated for public use. Beautifully maintained, a joy to be in, great facilities, a cafe that hasn't changed much in over a decade but in a good way (it's genuinely lovely), well kept toilets, an absolutely brilliant standard outdoor gym, a kids adventure playground that is honestly top class. Genuinely one of my favourite parks in the world, and not just because I'm heavily biased by nostalgia and growing up here (that's just extra). Also the North show takes place here every year and at the auction you can buy an onion bigger than your head or a cabbage the size of a child.
Tobar MacPhail — Google review
Great place for all the family. Victorian walled garden a treasure & we were lucky to see in it as a group tour was happening - normally closed Sunday. Folk and costume museum well laid out, loved that the buildings housed artefacts in scenes. Plenty of space and activities for children. Excellent café, served great food and drinks even though we were late for lunch.
TW account Wright — Google review
Something for everyone here. A vast green space to be at one with nature in its most raw form. Close your eyes & all you can hear are the birds & the wind in the trees. Near the entrance there is a well proportioned children's play area to suit children of all ages, including fitness items for the teenagers. Inside the cafe/restaurant you can get some basic, but good food at reasonable prices. A cartoon TV area for the little ones & a blackboard room for writing & creations on the walls. Couple this with special events & you have it all. You must visit.

19.08.2022.I had a great time today at the park. The folk museum is currently free of charge and is great for children as well as adults.Read and learn about country life and it's history.I would like to think there is something for everyone.I spent several hours in the park and was time well spent. The park itself has a pond and the park has many trees and flowers, some I have never seen before. There is an art gallery displaying photos taken during the Covid 19 pandemic and some are very sad.The old man looking out of his window and being photographed by a member of his family is quite haunting, but they all are really. The photo of the boy who lost his grandmother. You will enjoy your visit here.

A lovely park ideal for all ages and lot's of nice play apparatus for children in a safe area. Plus adult apparatus for exercising in a separate area. Great place for picnics and a very well stocked café and reasonably priced.

Would have been much better on a nice sunny day. Grounds are great for kids, take a ball. Nice food in the tea room but it was uncomfortably hot. Museum is interesting with exhibits well presented. More signage at the entrance and inside would help non islanders.

I live in Guernsey and it's always lovely to take a stroll round this park. The restored pagoda is absolutely stunning with such beautiful workmanship. I took my macaw, Mika there last week and we love meeting people. There's a cafe and a large kids play area too.

In addition to traditional pub favorites, The Rockmount offers a vegan menu featuring various options such as pizzas, risottos, roasted eggplants, couscous, and salads. They also have a wide selection of appetizers and desserts. The food is exceptional; the fillet steak is among the best I've ever had, and the sticky toffee pudding is equally impressive. They cater to vegans too, with delicious options that receive high praise.
Staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble. Food was good value for money. Recommended to everyone

Service was superb, very friendly staff, they even poured the wine for me! Atmosphere was calm and perfect for a dinner out. I ordered the fried buttermilk chicken sandwich and it was so juicy and tender. The side of fries and salad topped it perfectly.

SARAH BANCROFT — Google review
I booked myself and my friends in for a cheeky little Saturday date, the beginning was delightful. Drinks were scrumptious and couldn’t fault the starters or mains. However I will mention the fact that I felt as though I was sat in the Amazon rain forest, I wouldn’t be surprised if the heating in there is the sole reason for global warming. I was sweating as if I’d never been in a hot climate before. There was a bald bar man who kept looking directly at my friend who happens to be visibly a minor which obviously made her quite disconcerted. Then we got on to dessert and what an absolute catastrophe that was, firstly the ice cream I wanted was completely gone which fair enough isn’t necessarily something they can control but should inform their staff that it is gone so that people know before they order. Instead we ordered a different flavour and when it finally dawned on us…I can’t even fathom the words to describe it…I used to work in Michelin star restaurant and when I tell you this ice cream was undercooked it was RAW. I’ll be shocked if I don’t get a dodgy stomach from it, I mean seriously raw ice cream???? And then it just goes downhill from here, we went to go and pay the bill and I got a 12p “donation” fee, donation for what I’d love to know. Then to make matters worse it was £4.30 for a lemonade??? I mean have you ever heard the like??? I could literally get two litre bottles of lemonade for cheaper so what on earth are they doing to it in order for it to be that expensive. Anyway, lovely evening will be back soon.

Great location. Table service was very slow. Also, Gnocchi portions, as a main, were very small. Burgers are good.
Keith Hibberd — Google review
I love the Rockmount, the views, the space, the staff, but it just always let's itself down with the food. Everything that comes from the kitchen looks, tastes and appears to have been prepared last Tuesday. Courgette fritters greasy as a mechanics overalls. Whitebait not crispy and lukewarm? Bangers and mash been left under a heat lamp? So on and so on. Really sad cos it truly is a great pub with great staff and a great location. Somebody help.
george's brewery — Google review
Personally thought the food itself was quite good, although the fish and chips looked lazily done. However for most of the other dishes they tasted very good but the portion sizes were on the small side.

Was able to fit us in even though we did not have a booking. Good service and excellent food. Highly recommended.
Eddy Parsons — Google review
Amazing food!, the fillet steak was up there with the best I’ve ever had, sticky toffee pudding was awesome as well. My wife had vegan options which she loved, my sons enjoyed their pizzas (which I also sampled, very nice). We had to wait a long time to get served that’s why I gave service a 4, but the food was worth the wait. The staff were great, made it a relaxing experience and my youngest son had a bit of banter with our service guy. Highly recommended

What a gem in Guernsey. Right by the beach, with a gorgeous sunset view. I have been several time and never had a single issue with the food or service. Immaculate restaurant. Friendly to kids and adults, and if you don’t finish your food the staff are happy to prepare a box to take it home, and you’d be missing out if you didn’t!

david revell — Google review
Decent sized portions, even the vegan pizza was good, it’s very much a olde pub style vibe. The only downside was the group of 5 people at the next table, one of them demanded to see the manager as they weren’t happy with their one meal and walked out without paying for any of them. The manager did well to deal with it, disgusted that people have the cheek to eat all of their food before refusing to pay and then walking out!

Great American style beach restaurant, reasonably good food, not the cheapest but i don’t think anywhere is. The location is great also. staff was good we arrive with a table of 10 and they did well on the service despite we were there when the island was at its maximum capacity for the biggest event of the year. In fact we visit twice in a week as it was close and convenient for the team

My daughter and I arrived at Crabby Jacks after a long walk along the coast and had not booked. We were met with friendly staff and an informal atmosphere with plenty of families enjoying lunch. The food and wine were spot on (the thermidor) but it was the staff who shone. They were attentive and friendly, happy to chat and smile. When leaving, our taxi did not arrive and they re-opened the place for us, made us tea and in the end, ordered a taxi for us themselves. We were made to feel so special.

Huge portions - possibly the definition of “more is less” - in this US shack-style diner on the opposite side of the road from Vazon bay/beach. Top marks for the incredibly tasty buttermilk chicken burger. But expect to have to skip your next meal due to its calorie-busting contents.
Ross Lydall — Google review
Great place for a casual meal, the food isn't the best but I find that's mainly chicken dishes being cremated. The Sunday roasts are insane if you arrive within 2 hours of the restaurant opening after that the lights dry the meat to death. Best ice cream on Guernsey and the staff are always super polite and attentive. Front of house manager is top notch and always tries to look after you. Brilliant establishment if you have kids, also a nice beer garden for the summer and the beach is a stone throw away.

We came here for my dad's birthday with my niece and nephew as a big family. We were well looked after. The atmosphere was warm and inviting despite a miserable summer so far. The menu was delicious and the staff made the kids a priority, they could go off and play in the outdoor play area. The food was fresh and delicious. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I will be returning very soon ☺️

Crabby, jacks, over the top! What a fabulous bank holiday day at the beach sort of lunch spot. Definitely time for a nap after a fabulous dining experience.
Andrew Bryan — Google review
I have to start by saying great service. But “Crabby Jack” false advertises with its name as the menu and the atmosphere are misleading. Walking in I would expect to find at least some seafood on the menu but all they have to offer is a wide variety of burgers, pastas, Thai food and loads of Frieda food. Disappointing, fresh food and nice music would go a long way. It would make this place stand out from other along the bay. I believe they should really change their name to something that rhymes with “crabby”…

Very American-style restaurant. The food was good and of a sizable portion, but nothing spectacular. We had the soup (really rich and flavorful), the scallops in a mustard and potato sauce and the cracked crab. The scallops were good but the sauce was very very heavy on mustard, almost impossible to eat. Service was good, and it has a nice lively vibe.

A Hidden Gem of Guernsey While I was a bit hesitant in the beginning to move away from the comfort of the old town and shift to this place for the second night of our stay, I am glad we did! What a magical place. Especially the sunset show when the tide returns in the evening with a thunderous roar and surf worthy huge waves lashing into the narrow road that hugs the hotel - is something that is not to be missed. And we enjoyed this show from our lovely Balcony overlooking the seafront! LOCATION: A bit remote from most points of interest and the old city, but the seclusion is what makes this place magical. DINE + DRINK: Lovely roadside bar that looks into the sea and the waves. Perfect for a sundowner. The breakfast served at the lobby restaurant was not bad either. And they also have an old-world pub tucked inside behind the restaurant on the ground floor. All in all, you really don't have to leave the place for dining and drinking. And since the hotel is managed by Filipino staff, they whip up some wicked dishes from the Philippines too! Do try them! ROOM: We stayed in 205, which is a Seaview room with a wonderful Balcony!; VIEW: Wonderful view of the Sea and Sunsets from the balcony; SIZE: Very spacious room; AIR-CON: No Airconditioner in the room; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Bathtub shower; TOILETRIES: Decent Spa quality cosmetics FACILITIES: Compact Gym with a basic range of weights and Cardio machines SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout out to all the staff at the restaurant, the front desk and the wonderful chef who customized the dinner we had requested for us!! HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high-speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. Big Plasma TV screen dishing out dozens of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies and a wide variety of entertainment in multiple languages

Lovely hotel right next to the sea shore. Room was clean, tidy and well decorated. I have stayed in four star hotels that are not as good as this. I can only think it is not 4stat as there is no fridge or air conditioning in the room. The restaurant is nice but the meals ok but a bit more expensive than I was expecting.

Went there for a Christmas meal with work. The function was very good. I had curried tempura prawns for starters, pan fried cod for main and yule log for dessert. The cod was perfectly cooked. The private dinning room and bar were very spacious.

Reserved room for two nights two months out, during the off season. Discovered about 30 mins later that the ferry didn’t run on our first day of our reservation, so we could not get to Guernsey that night. I tried to cancel one night of our two night stay about 1 hr after booking the room. They refused to refund our money. Two months out and only and hour after making a reservation and they wouldn’t refund 1 night of our reservation.

Had a really great stay at Cobo Bay Hotel. Fantastic location looking over the bay with an amazing sunset, with easy transport links to other parts of the island. Breakfast was delightful, service was very good and staff were very friendly. My only slight negative was my room didn't have much of a view and did get very hot. Our visit to the Lobster and Grill was delightful. We were thoroughly impressed by the exquisite Royale platter, a lavish medley of freshly caught Guernsey lobster, chancre crab, oysters, shrimp, and prawns. Two problems with this establishment. Firstly , if you are dining on Sunday for lunch you will be charged for a desert wether you want one or not. Further, it is described as a complimentary dish. As far as I know this is the only place in the island that does this. Secondly, after booking a table a few days in advance, the day befor I called to ask why they had not confirmed the booking. I was told that they must have forgotten and that they were fully booked , end of. So rude.

Had a great meal. The food was excellent. Tasty, well presented, and the 7 ordered arrived all together. The only downside was that we were celebrating someone's birthday and were told we'd be charged £2/head if we had cake and no dessert. We'd not had this before, so instead of a few purple having a dessert and everyone having a coffee and/or a drink, alongside the birthday cake... we went home. For the sake of £14 the restaurant missed out on several items on which to make a profit and a decent tip! It was unfortunate, but in the difficult financial times, customers will not waste money. If the cake had been brought out with serviettes instead on plates. (Without an additional cost.) Then, that would have significantly reduced the overheads and wouldn't have been a problem.

The Fleur du Jardin is a casual hotel located in a stone building, offering picturesque views of the surrounding channels. It has a restaurant/bar and a seasonal outdoor pool. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal with an intriguing touch of uniqueness. The establishment prides itself on serving high-quality, fresh food that showcases local produce, such as beef and pork from Meadow Croft Farm, as well as locally sourced seafood.
Went for lunch. Car park chocca. Got to table. Ordered food quite quick. Food arrived quite quick. Was tasty. Thai chicken curry and liver pate to start. Ice cream for pudding

Lovely hotel which is dog friendly. Few touches needed to make it outstanding such as cleanliness, fix bathroom flooding, put a fridge in the room, improve storage and breakfast service. Decor in the hotel and rooms is nice and welcoming and staff are friendly.

This was a last-minute booking at a great price. I was given a free upgrade to a suite, which was lovely. Every single staff member were friendly and couldn't have been more welcoming. I wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very nice authentic rooms and good food. Also great for children vacations.

The Fleur de Jardin is a lovely place both to stay and to eat. We stayed there for a week with our dog while on holiday in Guernsey. The food was delicious with lots of choice. Gluten free and other dietary preferences were plentiful and clearly marked. The staff were always helpful and smiling regardless of what we asked for. We stayed in their Garden room so we could easily let the dog out if necessary. In the summer it would be really nice to sit out there too.

Great small hotel bar and restaurant. Very friendly and popular. Car park can get very full at peak times. Nice pool area but not open during our visit

Great location very friendly and helpful staff. There is also a great included breakfast, only real complaint is there seemed to be some spots of mould around the tub and behind the sink. Besides that the room was very clean and sheets were changed daily. Also note that the connected restaurant is great for lunch and dinner!

We stayed for 2 nights, cannot fault the hotel. All the staff were friendly and helpful, food was excellent and good value. I would recommend a stay there. Bus into town from just outside the hotel (£1 each way).

The service at Fleur du Jardin has been outstanding. Lotis and Sheeves were attentive while serving and had fantastic attitudes. Our room was clean and well maintained. Local products used in the bathroom. Wish they had body lotion along with other Guernsey products. JoJo at the front desk made our day when we missed our bus and he arranged someone to drive us so we would not have to wait an hour for the next bus. His customer service went above and beyond our expectations. Thank you thank you! Highly recommended.

Beautiful dog friendly hotel - garden room was fantastic, so much space and nice and clearn. The staff were exceptional, couldn't do enough for us. Food was also amazing. We stayed for a week and loved it. Parking only a bit tricky if it gets busy from visitors.

The service was 5 star . The staff in this hotel are incredibly helpful and consistently friendly. My daughter and I very much enjoyed our stay . Bus right outside the hotel and beaches are in walking distance. See you next year !!!

Food is always excellent here, absolutely no complaints. We dined early as we had my young daughter with us. They were accommodating with the menu to cater for an elderly relative, but we found that the later (and busier) it got, the slower the service became. Understandable, but frustrating when you need to get home to get a young child to bed and the waiter seems to be avoiding you in favour of other tables nearby. Otherwise excellent, and definitely would recommend.

Food was very good but felt like we were hurried to finish eating and leave.
