National SEA Life Centre Birmingham is a fantastic aquarium with plenty of different exhibits for children to enjoy. There are play areas and group packages available, making it the perfect family day out.
Great day out. I would advise to take your time and enjoy every part of it otherwise you can end up being finished in a hour, but it's an amazing set up. The glass tunnel with sharks swimming around you is incredible. Having had some disappointing experiences with zoos last year, it was refreshing to visit somewhere that you actually see every creature easily. Also the staff are very nice and helpful. Definitely worth a visit.

Really liked the penguins. I think this is one of the biggest aquariums in the England. The tunnel gave a really good experience. My one year old daughter was sleeping all the time since we entered the sea life centre, luckily she woke up at the end and we came back to tunnel and spent a lot of time looking at the turtle, jelly fishes etc.. The turtle was also active when we passed through the tunnel for the second time. Would suggest visiting this place if you are in or near by Birmingham. Suggest to book tickets online in advance. If you are close to city centre then you can easily walk to this place. Enjoy the experience and walk around the Brindley place for more enjoyment.

Nice place to visit. I do feel it’s a little repetitive with the same fishes just being in different locations and personally the time goes by really quick. There could be some more interactive things to do for children. However, it is a great place for families to come with their children. There are a lot of beautiful fishes and other animals such as penguins. Best part is the tunnel as it gives an immersive feeling in the sea!

A must visit place for a family day out, group activity or a date. Plenty of wonderful creatures to see, very easy to follow paths and guided viewing. Lots of information available. There's a sector to touch some star fish, apart from that there's not much interaction available. Bring a snack and water bottle with you. Not a lot of places to sit down so be prepared to stay standing. I'd definitely visit again.

Went on a date here. I hadn't been in a decade, but it was still very fascinating to see again as an adult. Thoroughly enjoyed watching the new otters showcased, was very fortunate to catch them on time but at the same time feeding was a little late but it was worth waiting an extra 10-15mins even if it was just a 5minute watch. Would have appreciated being able to see these promoted online or elsewhere as we ran into the posters by chance, and whilst waiting, we couldn't figure out if we were at the right place to watch. Fortunately, there was a staff member close by who was not only friendly but very informative. I heard she shares a name with one of the sea turtles in the tunnel. Was really glad to have seen her as we would've otherwise missed the otters. Staff were approachable and informative, I commend the staff working at the start of the sea life experience by the photo booth, he had an amazing energy, and his excitement was so contagious, really sets your mood of high and happy for the experience. A lot of walking but didn't mind as it is a rarity to see such amazing creatures in the city. Grateful for the accessible option of having an alternative route to the Ocean tunnel as it had a plastic/glass floor at one point and almost made me turn back till I saw sharks laying there and found myself in awe again. It was a fun exhibition, a quiet day on the weekday with the occasional family with young children and a small school of students on a field trip.

I absolutely loved this place. Brimming with sea creatures and filled with things to learn and do, it is an excellent place to visit for everyone. I would recommend visiting on a weekday if you can, as the weekend can become extremely crowded, however if you cannot you will still be able to see most things. The staff are friendly and informative, and the exhibits are absolutely exquisite. I think it’s well worth the ticket price and can’t recommend this place enough.
Olivia Williams — Google review
Great place to see some aquatic animals. A reasonably sized place and good variety. The walkways are quite narrow when others stop to look, causing a backlog or an uncomfortable place to be. Like most tourist attractions is down to them letting too many people in. Great for small children, but I would go first or last thing to avoid the crowds otherwise you will see more backs of human heads then fish. There's a tunnel at the end where the fish and sharks swim above and on the side of you, but this is awful when it's busy, it's impossible to move freely. Toilets are available throughout but small, hard to close cubicle doors as it's a tight squeeze. Staff are friendly, opportunity to touch a starfish and trails for kids to get stamps as they go round. Obligatory gift shop as you exit to buy sea life branded things. Worth spending an hour at.

My recent trip to the Sea Life was a very exciting one. I had booked a combo ticket where I could visit both Cadbury World and National Sea Life, and paid £35 for the combined ticket. The place is located close to the city centre so you wouldn’t have to pay much for travelling and there are plenty of buses that take you there. The place is huge and a fun attraction for children and adults. We got to see a variety of sea animals and could even touch a few of them. It was great and a nice way of introducing marine life to kids. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Mehnaz Alam — Google review
The best part of the National SEA LIFE @ Birmingham is the 360 degree water tunnel. It gives you so much real experience of being in the water watching fishes so closely. Penguins at the start also are active and seem to be interacting with the visitors. This was our 3rd visit (1st was before COVID). The reason for 4 stars is due to the removal of the 4D experience, which is replaced by VR experience, which is good but we really liked the 4D experience. Suggestion: if you are visiting on weekends or bank holidays, try to book early slots to avoid rush. Parking: if you are coming by car, Q-Park Brindley Place is the nearest car park with 2 min walking.

Came to the Sea Life Centre today and had a fabulous time. Staff friendly everywhere was clean and I’ve really loved looking at all the fish and different things. Thank you highly recommend this to anybody who wants to take their children somewhere over the bank holidays or the summer holidays it’s a lot of fun
adam life events king — Google review
Looks very beautiful and sea tunnel is amazing personal highlight was the sea otters. Only lost a star due it to not being as big as other sealife centres, and it was extremely busy. The walkways need to be bigger and get extremely blocked up with pushchairs.
Steven Moseley — Google review
It was good seeing all the different sea life. It wasn't too busy for a Saturday on a bank holiday weekend. You could easily get to the front to see all the fish and sea life on show. The tunnels were great for the kids and got to see the giant turtle swimming over. The only downside to the whole thing was it only took us 50 mins to do the whole thing even though others say it takes 2hr. We took our time to allow our kids to fully experience everything on offer. Don't think we would go again.
Kyle Macken — Google review
Wonderful experience for the whole family. The kids loved it. Slightly busy in some places inside. The staff are absolutely amazing. Bit pricey on the gift shop but it was worth it. Would go again in the future. Loved the penguins.
Alexandru Dodoiu — Google review
Nice place to spend with family and kids. Kids really enjoy a lot to see big fish, seahorses, jellyfish etc. Parking is nearby within 2 minutes. Can complete around 2 to 3 hours. 360 degree tunnel is very nice to take photos and get good views of fish seeing in very close.

Totally loved it here. An experience not to be missed... We then had coffee and a walk around the canals afterwards. This makes for a great day out, where you can also find somewhere to have a meal...

Used blue light card to book tickets as was coming back at £50 for two adults. Had the 2 for 1 voucher too which didn’t work for some reason. No need to charge so much when your in and out within the hour.
SamAdam Court-Fletcher — Google review
Really tired, dingy and overcrowded. Probably the worst Sea Life Centre I've been to. The enclosures for the penguins and otters are so small, it's thoroughly depressing. The walkways are really narrow and packed full of people with pushchairs, meaning you can't get past. It was so full when we went you couldn't even see half of the exhibits as there are so many people there. We had to wait for 20 minutes to get near the otters as it was so crowded. It's looking really run down and dirty, and smells terrible in parts. It's in desperate need of a deep clean. It felt very claustrophobic on the walkways and tunnels, due to the amount of people packed in, and children screaming and running around constantly. We visited at lunchtime on a weekday, expecting it to be quiet, but how wrong we were! I think adults only evenings would really benefit this place. I'm sure a lot of animal lovers wouldn't mind paying a little more for a less crowded, more peaceful experience. If you like paying a fortune to be stuck staring at the back of people's heads and have screaming kids running around you, you'll love it here. Otherwise, I really recommend you avoid this place.
Fiona Price — Google review
Absolutely loved my time there! I went on my own and had so much fun. The place is really well prepared for the visitors and the fishes seem to be all in good health. I wouldn't recommend the VR experience since it's expensive and it only lasts for a few minutes but the rest of SEA LIFE is worth exploring! Leave some money for the shop at the end! They have some fun items and you can even adopt one of the penguins! Book tickets in advance. They have student discounts.
Gabriela Luz — Google review
Hugely disappointing. The whole place felt cramped and crowded with all visitors slowly shuffling along or completely stationary at times. The experience was contained within a dark warehouse type building with cables, wires and ducting pipes traversing the ceiling, with no daylight or fresh air. However, there was a brief moment of relief when you step outside before entering the VR area. For us the Penguins end Jellyfish were the stars of the show. The lone scruffy stuffed seagull hanging from the ceiling and a Lego Pelican did not impress, nor did the plastic palm trees and squawking seagulls sound track. I shan’t mention the toilets, just look at the photo. Needless to say, we won’t be visiting again. The whole place needs a re-think!
Adam Holliday — Google review
A very kind staff member called Jamie was very welcoming and inclusive, he showed us around and gave us a great tour, I reckon you should give him a pay rise. Both Dan’s were also informing and helping. Thank you for the lovely and fun-filled visit. Please show Jamie this- from the three musketeers; Bella, Ada and Sofia.

We visited the sea life for a day out. Lovely place to enjoy as a family. We liked the talk and feed of otters. It has family room for eating and rest. The tunnel and penguins were also so exciting.
Fateme Mohammadi — Google review
I pre-booked the tickets for the sea life centre so that I don't have to wait.It was lively. Got to see many marine creatures. The tunnel is the main attraction. There is also a small shop to buy snacks as well as toys, key chain etc. I am so happy that I got to spend good time with my friends there. Kids would love this place.
JINU JOICE — Google review
I love all aquariums and I was lucky enough to get to go here supporting someone with a disability so I got to go free as a carer. But I have to say I was a tad disappointed as I thought it would be bigger. There were lots of amazing creatures to see, and by far the best bit was the tunnel, but we were done after about 45 minutes. There's a couple of photo opportunities that want to charge you, but at £19 per person, I really couldn't justify spending anymore. Staff were friendly, and it's all set out very well. I kinda think it's a bit dated now as newer exhibitions in other parts of the country are much more interactive and less aged. I liked it but I don't think I'd pay to go again. The shop is cashless which was disappointing as the person I support didn't have a debit card and so he couldn't buy anything.
David Grimmett — Google review
We visited Sealife on a Monday of the Easter hols and it was busy from opening. I was glad we were pre-booked as walk in tickets weren't available. The aquarium was well laid out and there was a lot to see, but given the numbers of visitors it was hard to linger and several things we missed or had to move on from quite quickly. The underwater tunnel was lovely but quite short. My toddler grandson loved the little tunnel under the clown fish - the perfect height for him! Personally I was delighted to find sea dragons! The staff were excellent - engaged, friendly and knowledgeable, particularly the young lady with the penguin egg and the young man by the sea otters. We actually spent just under an hour in the aquarium, then we found ourselves in the shop and out! It all felt a little hurried, and while we enjoyed the visit and would like to return, we did feel a little flat.

We booked our tickets on same day and it costed us more but I would reccommed to buy it in advance as it might save a lot of money. It was a weekend so it was so busy, but entry time we did not wait, it was an easy entrance. We went with a toddler and a school going girl and both the kids enjoyed seeing the sealife. One main attraction was seeing sea otters which I could not see in any other sealife in UK. There is no cafe or place where you can sit and eat but this sealife is situated in a busy area and you could find lots of cafe and restaurent just outside this placd. Parking is also nearby so no need to worry about finding the parking too. I would highly reccommend this place to visit atleast once.
Monal Birds — Google review
Loved it! The kids loved it too! It was amazing to see so many types of sea creatures and learning facts about them. The environment is so relaxing and rejuvenating. It only took us an hour to go through it all with young kids so it's on the pricey side and would stop us visiting regularly sadly, so lost a star there. The Kelloggs codes help!

It's an amazing place to visit, especially if you have children! The only tiny downside is that it's a cashless site... My son was slightly disappointed when he wanted to spend his pocket money. Otherwise a definite recommend!

Edgbaston Reservoir, in the city of Birmingham, is a 70-acre site with a wide variety of habitats, including open water. The reservoir and surrounding areas are popular for walks, cycling and other activities.
Great for a walk with lots of wildlife to see, a bit of tranquility away from the city.

Beautiful place, it’s lovely if you want to go for a walk. Especially during the night, it’s very pretty with the lights overshadowing the water. It’s nice and peaceful. However it’s probably not best to go alone there during the night. It’s beautiful when it’s foggy weather too. A hidden gem.

Walking around Edgbaston Reservoir is a truly delightful experience that offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city center. Located just a stone's throw away from Birmingham's urban landscape, this serene oasis provides the perfect setting for a leisurely stroll or a moment of quiet reflection. One of the highlights of walking around Edgbaston Reservoir is undoubtedly the opportunity to witness a breathtaking sunset over the water. As the sun dips below the horizon, casting vibrant hues of orange and pink across the sky, the reservoir becomes bathed in a warm, golden light that is simply mesmerizing. It's a picture-perfect moment that never fails to awe and inspire. However, it's important to exercise caution when visiting during windy conditions, as the exposed nature of the reservoir can make it feel particularly blustery. Nonetheless, with proper preparation, the walk around the reservoir remains enjoyable and invigorating. The path that encircles the reservoir offers a pleasant and scenic route, dotted with benches where you can pause to take in the view or simply soak up the tranquility of the surroundings. Along the way, you'll encounter lush greenery, diverse wildlife, and perhaps even a few friendly faces out for a jog or a leisurely stroll.

Serene surroundings around a water body right in the middle of the hubbub of Birmingham. Peaceful and quiet walk in the afternoon to relax yourself. People living around get this small Heven to bring their loved ones little children and babies too for a nature walk. Apart from activities like sail and Boat Club , you can try angling! There are a few swans along with the ducks for nature lovers

Our first visit today (sunday 10amish). The main carpark was closed so we parked on a nearby Osler street. It takes about 45mins to walk around the reservoir at a gentle pace. There is a short section which takes you through a really lovely wooded glade with loads of blackbirds and robins singing. A welcome escape from the city landgulls and pigeons. The path is smooth and even, so would be good for pushchairs and wheelchairs. No steps to navigate and only a couple of inclines. Plenty of benches, dog waste bins and life saving buoyancy aids. Hardly any litter which was impressive. Lots of walkers, joggers, runners and a few cyclists. Everyone was using the path with care of each other, you didn't feel like you were going to be mown down. The moorhens were busy with their chicks, several swans but no sign of cygnets, and pleasingly, very few pigeons! Sailers and rowers enjoying the water. A really lovely green escape from the city!

Dudley Zoo and Castle is a zoological gardens located within the grounds of the prestigious Dudley Castle estate. It features a variety of exotic and endangered animals, as well as activities such as a wallaby walkthrough and feeding rainbow lorikeets.
Lovely day out today. Haven't been since I was a child and it was much improved since then. It still has all the charm and old school feel it used to have too. Great selection of animals to see. A lot of the animal enclosures have been revamped and modernised, which was great to see. Some animals have been moved in to bigger and better places and all seemed happy, active and in good health. A nice little fun fair for the kids near the entrance and the gift shop has been redone to a higher standard. The train and chair lift are both still operating to take you up to the castle and back, should you choose not to walk up. The castle itself is great to walk around. The ghost talk is very informative and there are birds of prey being exhibited in the courtyard. There was an owl today. Highly recommend a trip up the spiral staircase to the top of the castle for a fabulous view across the Black Country. Parking is much improved. Only £3.50 for the whole day (token operated gate system) and most of the site is wheelchair accessible, which is great. Toilets and food outlets were all clean and well stocked. Will definitely return again soon!
Lucky Mistress — Google review
Wonderful place to visit in the heart of Dudley Town centre. Parking is to the rear of the zoo which is easy to find. Ample space and a pay on exit system £3.50 for all day parking. The Zoo has an extensive range of animals to see and activities for the children to keep them amused. The farmyard area is worth a visit too. As part of your preparation I would suggest you studied the map, there are a lack of signpost to assist your travel from attraction to attraction. The castle ruins are also impressive and on a clear day the visibility is uninterrupted. The land train is also an added bonus. Animals looked well and there was a flurry of activity from feed to cleaning out by the Zoo staff. It must also be mentioned there is a fair amount of uphill ascents so a pair of comfortable and supportive footwear must be a vital consideration. Food outlets were plentiful although we didn't partake. A small well maintained zoo, friendly staff and an extensive range of animals to see.

Me and my partner went here back in June this year! Absolutely brilliant! The food was nice though a bit pricey😊, view from the castle was amazing! 🤩 Animals were fun to see, lots of opportunities to take photos and have a lovely experience. I did see wheelchair users and pushchairs having difficulty getting round to each animal/areas. But apart from that, lovely zoo to go too, animals are well kept and looked after💖

We had a great day at Dudley Zoo. Easy parking, and check in, the train was waiting by the entrance, the chap working on the train was very very helpful, popping out pram in the back. We went on a very cold January day, but there was still alot to see. Some of the animals were in the warm in various enclosures, but there was easy viewing. They all looked in great health and everyone we spoke to was very helpful. We're looking forward to using our free return later on in the year when the weather is a bit warmer!

Me and my other half came to Dudley zoo on Sunday I would highly recommend arriving around 11am as we got parking easily and there was no wait to get into the park and when we left people were waiting out the door to get in! Overall we had a lovely day, facilities are good and a nice day out.

Fantastic day out with the family. Lots of lovely animals to encounter and see. Designated petting and feeding times. Beautiful walks to the castle and amazing views from the top. Fun train, play area and fun-fair for the kids. Definitely recommended!!

A fantastic day out, I've been to many zoo's but this one, you get up so close to some of the animals. The orangatang Benji is adorable ❤️❤️. The zoo offers animal experiences, I was lucky enough to see the giraffe one, and I definitely want to go back and feed them. Most of the experiences are £110 which is for 2 people pretty reasonable. If you take children, I would definitely recommend taking a packed lunch as food is a little on the expensive side. We had two burgers and a pot of fries that was £16 which I think is expensive.
Tamz — Google review
Was so impressed with this zoo. Probably the best one I have ever been to. Can see and observe the animals really well and take brilliant photos because there are very few cages. It is on a hill, but there's a free little train or cable car if needed. The lemurs, sea lion and orangutans were the must see for us. Totally fascinating to watch. Only downside was finding our way around without missing anything. Nearly missed a whole section because we came down the hill instead of full circle. The castle area is relaxing and beautiful. Food/snacks were dotted around the zoo and had a good choice. Can easily spend the whole day here.
budgiebruce — Google review
We loved our recent visit to the zoo, we got to see some amazing animals and learned quite a bit, too. The site is much bigger than I remembered it from when I was a boy, and we barely got round half in the 3 or so hours we were there. So much to see that you could easily spend most of the day here with all the enclosures, interesting talks, and the castle of course! Can't wait for our next visit.

fascinating zoo. The area is not very large and you can see all the animals in 1 half day. It was amazing to see snow leopards and sea lions. On the territory of the zoo there are interesting signs about the preserved structures. therefore there is a feeling of a special retro style. It is clear that the animals are cared for. Be sure to visit the castle - it will take about 30 minutes - but you will definitely remember it for a long time

It is a lovely zoo with a lot of renovations being done, the only issue I had was the sea lion enclosure. The pool looked so shallow for them and they looked really depressed. The thought that has gone into other enclosures was top notch so it was a suprise to see them in such a shabby enclosure with no enrichment. Was such a shame because we had such a nice time other than that.

Amazing experience, full of memories for my family. I recommend absolutely. I've been to other zoos and this is the closest I've been to some of the animals that are there. Staff is friendly and helpful. If you need something to eat do not go to anything outside of the zoo. They have lovely tea rooms and burger stalls , freshly cooked that made us regret eating at Frankie's and Benny's.

My son celebrated his 5th birthday party here and it was amazing. The staff, the facilities and food exceeded my expectations. The two hour party was split into climbing, softy play and private party room for lunch. The staff encouraged all children to climb and were there to assist. The children dresses as superheroes gave it their all!! The rock climb was followed by soft play. The party room was decorated well, had a dimmer and colourful disco lights. There was a good selection of party food, pizza, crisps, popcorn, carrot sticks, cucumber slices, vanilla ice cream, mini cookies and squash. I would highly recommend for birthday parties or just general climb/softplay session.

I visit this place with my daughter at least twice a week. She’s almost 3 and enjoys the soft play area. It is a nice place with friendly staff. Soft play area is small but kids still have fun. In my opinion, they need to have a member of staff permanently to supervise the soft play area because every time we go there older kids enter the area and start running around which is not safe for little kids. The soft play area is for kids 2-5 years old but kids of all ages always enter the area. In one of our previous visits my daughter experienced head injury because of older kids running around the soft play area. I told the staff and someone immediately came to tell the kids they were not supposed to be there- however it’s something that happens every time. Also, the soft play area needs to be cleaned more often. Sometimes you find biscuits or crisps that kids eat and take with them inside the soft play area. Lots of kids enter the area with shoes too even if they are not supposed to. Now I understand that it’s the parent’s responsibility to make sure their kids are following the rules, but some parents just don’t care so it would be nice to have a member of staff making sure the rules are followed by everyone. Overall it is a nice place with very friendly staff but needs improvement .

Was great fun for our group. The kids felt empowered to be able to clip themselves in the autobelays and enjoyed being able to test their limits. Difficulty of the climbs range well for both beginners and more confident climbers.

Booked my daughters birthday party here, she loves going to rock up. All the kids enjoyed themselves. Food was standard, wasn't expecting anything fancy. Bonus was we got a free drink, can't complain with freeness. Decent price, all the staff were amazing and friendly. Will recommend to other parents

Booked a party for about 15 kids, staff were super friendly, helpful and customer service was bang on. Briefing was very thorough and safe, even for smaller kids. Overall great day out for the kids and also adults.

I took 4 teenagers here this half-term week - it was brilliant! The staff were super helpful! They also serve great coffee, I had a peaceful 90 minutes with my book and a Carmel latte whilst the kids completed vertical climbs and abseiled back down.

Amazing facility. My little one loved every minute of the climbing and it’s probably the best thing I’ve ever taken her to. The staff were also fabulous. Brilliant experience. Would highly recommend.

Amazing, friendly and helpful staff cannot fault them at all!! but I was expecting there to be more of a range of walls to climb and a bigger space same with the soft play it’s pretty tiny due to reading the website and hearing of the “2 story soft play” I thought that was going to be massive but more like a 2 story cube, not much to do in there😩paid £7.50 for a slush and a regular margarita pizza was absolutely vile cold extremely thin tasted like tomato sauce was just squirted on a pizza base with a thick layer of cold cheese the man who served me was absolutely lovely again but for the price I expected way more! You get an hour in there and due to not many walls and space my son was ready to leave before this, if u live local and bring ur own lunch maybe ideal for u

Kids really enjoyed their time here. Was easy to get a booking during half term and it wasn't as busy as expected. Our briefing was led by Dre who did a really good job of explaining the climbing experience. All members of staff we met during the day were friendly and great with the kids. Really attentive and helpful. We've visited the Watford branch before and it was a little disappointing that most of the climbs are identical but the kids didn't seem to mind. The areas are kept pretty clean and tidy and the soft play was a hit too.

A lovely place for beginners and young children. You get a safety brief, harnesses, and staff are on site for practical help. Soft play area for the mini’s that are too young to climb. Every safe procedure is carried out and explained. Would recommend and will be back.

5LEGOLAND Discovery Centre & LEGO Store Birmingham

4.1

Mentioned on
Legoland is a popular tourist attraction in the UK that features a LEGO Store as well. The attraction has three rides, play zones for children aged three to 12, and an action-packed 4D cinema. MiniLand is one of the most mesmerizing attractions at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre - it's crammed full of over 1 million LEGO bricks and also features the world's smallest Primark store.
Great experience for the kids. Very easy check-in with quick flowing queues. A 4D cinema and a couple of rides just add to the experience. We easily spent around 4 hours here and are very much eager to return back. It's always fun playing with Lego with your kids. Can be a bit hard to find somewhere to sit but shouldn't complain about that. Decent soft play area for kids who like running about.

Great experience for the kids, there is lots to do from building various Lego to a small ride inside the venue which was good fun. Only downside is that when it gets busy the Lego pieces are everywhere and not really easy for kids to make anything and gets really crowded. The Lego workshop is really good where you pay for a session and get to keep what you build. The Lego city they have created is amazing work, kids really enjoyed it due to it being interactive.

Thoroughly enjoyed first visit with toddler. It’s not geared towards older lego fans. Could improve on hand sanitisers being restocked and the gift shop was lacking- hardly anything in stock compared to the Bullring store but overall great play day for toddler. If we lived in the city a yearly pass would be worth the money!

Great day out for younger kids. My 2 year old son loved every minute, loads of things to do , rides, soft play, shows. Literally had to drag him away at closing time! Highly recommended for keeping kids entertained in Birmingham City centre.

One of the most beautiful places we visited, to celebrate my son's sixth birthday. He loved Lego, He was delighted to explore the place with enthusiasm and many questions, A car was built in a good way, He was competing with his friends. He got to know them there, A wonderful atmosphere. Don't get bored. My daughter of year and half loved a place dedicated to her age. She was very happy . I think we will visit again.

Fun afternoon out! Not as big as I imagined it would be but we still all had a really great afternoon out. I especially liked the 4d cinema but the kids loved the little track the race the cars they'd made.

This was our first visit to Birmingham Lego discovery centre and it's pretty much a carbon copy of the Manchester one. It's clean and tidy but my main gripe is the attraction let far too many people in, with not enough seating for people to have their lunch. Also seems to be zero ventilation and I couldn't wait to get outside for some air.

2 rides, 3 4D shows, a virtual reality experience, a soft play area, model City, and building stations. Plenty to do and lots of fun for all the family! There's a coffee shop inside the play area with large windows so you can reenergise as your kids continue to play. Love it!

Loved this almost as much as the kids. Having been traumatised by a recent visit to Legoland (near 1 hour queues for every 90 second ride, too busy, too expensive) this healer those wounds. We were lucky to go the week before local half term- so the place was much quieter. This meant our kids got to do any activity almost instantly from making things to riding. It’s still not cheap, but the experience was awesome. If this is the kind of thing your kids like then do it- you won’t regret it.

Excellent place to visit with young children. Large discount available with Day Out With The Kids website where our children’s tickets were free saving us £50. Highlights were the 4D cinema which lasts about 15 mins per film and showings every 20 minutes throughout the day and the Kingdom Quest ride. Visited during Easter and was extremely busy so hardly anywhere to sit down. The food options are mainly sandwiches or panini’s with crisps/cakes, etc so best to bring your own food. Great shop at the end too for Lego enthusiasts of all ages.

We booked to go for little ones birthday on a weekday. There’s reasonable parking about 5 mins walk away on Gas Street rather than parking at Brindley place. We booked with a 2 for 1 voucher, which wouldn’t go through online. But the voucher didn’t want to go through, when we got to the venue, the assistant kindly refunded us 1 ticket which was great as it was £50 for 2 of us to go in with little one. The venue was well decorated with Lego everywhere, the first zone with famous sites of Birmingham in Lego was amazing. There was only 3 sections we can go to after that: 1. A little car ride where you can shoot the evil Lego. 2. A magical cycling boat merry go round. 3. 4d cinemas, this was great film, however the amount of water being sprayed on you was disgusting and we were half soaked. Little one didn’t enjoy this either. It was overdone! After these sections there was little areas of play for entertainment, like building your own Lego section, a large soft play, a baby soft play, the gift shop and a few other mini Lego feature areas, but these were closed as last entry was 1pm, for closing at 3:39pm. We were also given a Lego trading card to play trumps with the employees to win a price, but as we were last entry at 1pm, they didn’t play it which was a bit disappointing as would have been nice to play and win for little ones birthday. There was a little cafe for food, however at 2pm they had already sold out of all hot food and sandwiches, it was just drinks left and flapjacks. The flapjacks were £1 each and hot drinks £3ish each, which feels quite reasonably priced. Overall, we were finished within 2 hours, and we felt a bit disappointed at the day out. (I don’t know if we went at the weekend and it would have been busier, therefore taken more time to go around). On the upside as we got 1 ticket refunded, it was £25 for all 3 of us, it felt the right amount to pay. For the day and age range, It feels suitable more for the younger kids under 6 if they love Lego. But based on the price to visit and actual things to do, we felt it wasn’t worthwhile and probably won’t come back again. It was however a nice half day out and experience.

My 3 year old had a lovely time here. It is much smaller than expected but for his age it was perfect. He loves anything to do with cars so his favourite thing was making cars and sending them down the ramps. There is also soft play, 4dx cinema (which was fun), a few rides and a Lego village with buttons that make certain things happen in the little village. A really lovely day out building and playing with Lego. The reason I gave it 4 stars is due to the cafe only serving drinks and snacks. I was hoping we could get a bit of lunch in there but they don't do anything like that.

A fun place to go with kids. Big kids at heart are only permitted with actual small kids here however. There is a fun short ride as you enter, laser blast style as you go round on the track. A 4D cinema short and another small ride is also present inside. Usual Lego models a plenty based on the Birmingham area, keep your eyes peeled for the small details. A small soft play is available for kids, a cafe with basic food and drink is inside. Lego building stations are available to build whatever the imagination desires. It can get rather busy inside. As it is designed for children, do note some children get rather excited and may take over your personal space when it's busy. Toilets are available inside. Worth a visit, best off peak though.

We arrived at about 9.30am on a Monday in the Summer Holidays and there were only a handful of people in there. It got busier as the morning went on but not too busy. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the coffee in the café was nice. The only thing I would point out were how grubby the glasses were for the cinema; we had to clean ours before we could see through them! Other than that a great morning out!

My 6 year old loved it, it did get really busy (we went at 9.30am) so we only spent an hour or so there because my little one doesn't like loud voices but that was my fault for not taking headphones. He really enjoyed it though and I recommend a visit.

Well worth a visit if you have younger kids. My daughter is 10 and loved it but would say it is aimed at 10 years and younger. There are 2 different rides to go on, a 4D cinema and a small model village. The rest of the time is spent building models.

Visited a few weeks ago for our son’s 3rd Birthday. We all enjoyed being here and had a great time. My son had such an amazing day as he loves building and stacking toys! Will definitely visit again soon 😊

We visited today with my 6-year-old son. He absolutely loved it! We visited in the afternoon which is far quiter than the morning. It was a lot smaller than I expected but my son had the best time and we spent 4.5 hours here and did the lot. Cinema was fun, also 2 rides, mini land, soft play and car racing and building. Cleaning needs to be more of a focus, but tbh it's busy, and we saw staff cleaning. We stayed until the end it was dead, no queues for the rides. Would recommend this place for under 8s only. I totally understand why others find this place expensive, but my son loved it. Yes, Legoland is far, far better, but this was also great. The picture combo was great £20, x2 large pics, x4 small, key ring, and fridge magnet. Online there was a 2h ticket for £20 or a £30 all day which is what we did.

The highlight of our visit was definitely the 4D cinema, where we enjoyed watching 3D short films with special effects such as smoke, rain, and wind-like effects. The films were around 20 minutes long and there were three different ones that they kept repeating throughout the day. Aside from the cinema, there were also a few workstations where you could create LEGO art, as well as separate play areas for children under 5 and above. The Merlins tide was also quite enjoyable. However, we found that the food options in the restaurants were not that great, so we would recommend bringing your own food to enjoy at the venue. We visited during the winter months, and it seemed like it wasn't very busy, as there were no waiting lines for the two rides. This allowed us to go on them multiple times and really enjoy ourselves. We also had the opportunity to watch the cinema multiple times on less busy days like this. In addition to the rides and cinema, there is a small model village to explore. The check-in process was very easy, with quick flowing queues, so we were able to start enjoying the attractions right away. We easily spent around 4 hours here and can't wait to return. Playing with LEGO with your kids is always a fun experience. The only downside we found was that it could be a bit hard to find somewhere to sit, but that is a minor complaint. There are plenty of activities to keep you entertained, and it's a perfect destination for a family day out.

My kids had a wonderful time here. Lots of activities to do. Kids will want to spend time at the Soft Play area but make sure to explore as there are other fun things to do. The Lego 4D movie was cool, the hunt, the mini world and loads of other fun stuffs.

Lovely place, a good day out for children who love Lego, you get a 4d cinema experience, you will get wet in the process. There is 2 little play areas, one for younger children and one for a little older. There is 2 rides, one that goes round and you can cycle to go up and down. There is also another little ghost train type ride, but NOT SCARY! 😂 They do daily competitions but I feel like they just choose who they want, they don’t stick to the topic of the day. Me and my son worked very hard on ours and we were the only real snowman on the day, very disappointed!. I wouldn’t recommend the extra pack you can buy, you are meant to collect stamps however some are not even available and you get a small figure at the end, most likely ones they can’t sell. We did see Santa so that was a plus! The bricks are left everywhere so keep that in mind. The toilets are cleanish. I mean what public toilets are spotless, They were ok! You can get 3 build your own figures for £8, look what’s on offer first as again, limited and likely to see the items that don’t really sell in there. There is the builds that they have displayed that is really cool, give that a wonder. There is also a big area to build and test your Lego car builds, again, fun!

I recently took my kids to Legoland, and it was an absolute blast! The play areas were fantastic, offering a variety of activities that kept my children entertained for few hours. One highlight was definitely the 4D cinema experience. The immersive visuals and effects added an extra layer of fun to our visit. I also appreciated how well-maintained and clean the entire park was. It made for a stress-free experience, knowing that my kids were playing in a safe and hygienic environment. Overall, I would recommend Legoland to any parent looking for a fun outing with their children for a good 3 to 4 hours!

Very good time at Legoland. Kids really enjoyed themselves. The rides and 4D cinema 🎥 are excellent. Only a very short que of about 5 minutes to wait for the rides. The waiting time for the cinema was longer. There are plenty of spaces to sit and build and race the cars. Would definitely recommend it. Can spend at least 3 hours there easily. The soft play area is also a great way for the kids to burn off their energy and for the adults to have a break in the coffee shop. The cleanliness of the coffee shop could have been alot better and service was slow. But the prices aren't so bad. The shop has alot of selection, BUT be careful. The prices are ONLY on the bottom of each of the boxes and not on the shelves. AND make sure to check the prices as they go through the till as I had the unfortunate experience that the box price and the price I paid were different and did not notice till I go home. Awaiting on a response from Legoland on this, taken pictures of the receipt and the box and the price label. But otherwise its a very good place to visit. 27th March and my issue from the shop still not resolved. Absolutely disgusting!! Especially when you get a reply from Legoland to say all has been resolved when it clearly has not. Watch the price stickers on the bottom of the box to what price goes through the till. They are overcharging you on items!!!! Beware!
