This is really just a single small mosque building but a religiously significant site for islam followers. The building has a long history in the area. The entry is based on donation and the sarong is mandatory (even for guys). It was a quick 10 minute visit for us and it's an impressive and well maintained site. I was most impressed by the two huge trees near its entrance.

(Translated by Google) Bayan Beleq Ancient Mosque is a mosque that was built in the early days of the development of Islam on the island of Lombok. This mosque was built in Bayan Village which is now part of West Lombok Regency around the 16th century. In 1640, Sunan Pengging, who was a follower of Sunan Kalijaga and Sunan Giri, came to Lombok, and married a princess from the Kingdom of Parwa. This disappointed the King of Gowa and finally occupied Lombok. Sunan Pengging, also known as Prince Mangkubumi, fled to Bayan and made the Bayan area the center of the power of the Islamic sect called Islam Time Telu. This mosque was built by a leader named Titi Mas who was also the first person in Bayan Village to embrace Islam. The name Beleq means "big tomb". This is in accordance with the conditions around the mosque where there are many graves. The tombs are the tombs of Plawangan, Karang Salah, Anyar, Reak, Titi Mas Penghulu, Sesait, other Islamic religious figures, and people who helped build and maintain the mosque since its early construction.

(Translated by Google) They were totally unpleasant. We are a family of 6 people. We arrived and we were the only visitors. As soon as you arrive they tell you that you must enter covered with a sarong. Which is very respectable. They offer to rent you one at a price that would be like buying it. We decided to put on a sarong and went inside. Before entering we are greeted by a man who seems to be the person in charge and tells us to fill out the visitor's register. In this book he urges us to put what donation we want to leave. We tell him that we don't know yet and that it's ugly that they make you leave a donation without warning and instead ask for entry and you can decide whether you want to enter or not....the man in charge began to shout and gesticulate in an unpleasant way and we invited to go. We did not get to see the mosque, a pity. It is one of the few tourist attractions in the area, but with that treatment..... (Original) Fueron totalmente desagradables.

We drove 2 hours here to see the traditional 14th century mosque in a traditional and indigenous village. Both areas are beautiful to look at & the infrastructure fascinating but there is no information about the significance the mosque or how to get to the local village (you walk through a hole in the fence at the back of the mosque). You also can’t actually enter any of the buildings they are all padlocked shut. I wouldn’t recommend driving over an hour here if your staying further away because there isn’t enough to see to justify the drive. It is donation based on arrival & you pay 10k for a sarong to walk around the premises.

Amazing history here. The locals keep up the area well as it has such high spiritual significance for them. The best time to come is during the Maulid Adat Celebration. It is very busy and crowded at that time with a lot of drinking so be prepared for that. Otherwise it’s a very beautiful area. They ask for a donation for the upkeep of the grounds, and you must have a sarung to enter which you can rent at the entrance. I recommend taking a local guide and seeing the rice fields as well.

We had a bad experience at this mosque. First they made us all four wear sarongs allthough this was only necessary for one us, but out of respect we took them anyway for 10K each. Then we paid a donation of 100K. Untill then everything was fine. We walked to the mosque and village, which took us less then 10 minutes. The men who joined us gave little explanation and there actually wasn't really a lot to see, so we went back. Then -out of sight of his co-workers- he asked for 25K per person for him as a guide. So 240K in 10 minutes! It's really okay to pay more for things as a tourist, but it's not good being cheated.

Pretty waterfalls with white water (a small dose of sulfur), with height around 15m, strong current even in dry season. But the road needs more attention, small road with twist and turn and steep.

Very lovely place water fall Everyone can see the famous of waterfall in lombok, especially in North of Lombok We love this place for our pre wedding 💍 foto. Miss this place, see you in couples of months 💝💝💝

A waterfall near Senaru village. About 2-3km trek from entrance. You may have to pass through small rivers & slippery rocks, so grippy trekking sandal would be the best. Otherwise, be careful when trekking with your slippers. Entrance open at 8am, approx 10k idr for local & 20k idr for foreigner? Allow about min 1 hr for return trip + chill so you are not in rush.

I suggest do not visit this place in rainy season. In rainy season the road become very slippery and highly dangerous. The local here will try to pull as much money from you so be wise. The scenery itself is fantastic the area is very fresh and the vibe it's so calming

As noted by a prior reviewer, be wary of the locals in this area. I lost a personal item while on this hike and a seemingly friendly local guide offered to help track it down. He managed to locate the item after we had left, which was welcome news. He informed me that the property now belonged to him, however, and that I would need to pay him a relatively large amount (a ‘ransom’ he said) if I wanted it back. He also implied that the locals really don’t want tourists around the area, and that they had no qualms taking property from tourists. As such, I’d recommend being careful bringing anything of value to this hike or trusting the guides to watch your property. The hike itself is very straightforward and is paved most of the way. There isn’t really a need for a guide, but the guides are fairly aggressive in trying to get you to hire one. It’s a shame honestly as the waterfalls are very peaceful and in two months traveling through Indonesia this was the only place we had any negative encounters with locals.

BE CAREFUL with the PARKING!!! The person that sold the tickets from the entrance in the gate two with his two friends, stolen our helmets and flattened our tires because we didn’t park our motorbike in their parking. Go from the other entrance and definitely don’t park there! The waterfall though is amazing, the peoples attitude it the problem. Of course do not take a guide.

Beautiful waterfall, but be prepared to traverse 100 steps, pretty steep. I read where someone described the walk as fairly moderate....yep, if you're fit and 25.

I do not recommend coming. The juice is not worth the squeeze. This location is considerably far from any of the common places to stay in Lombok. You need a pretty long drive and I don't think the spot compensates for the energies invested. Apart from that It is beautiful and there are Monkies around. Like in any other spot in Indonesia. This place is targeted for "local guides". You do not need a local for a 5 minute walk downstairs. But they are very pushy so right on arrival you feel the pressure....and this my friends happens in most iconic places you visit Indonesia. The best is to understand that is going to happend and is going to ruin your peace. But it is a good practice to enforce your assertiveness. To the locals: do not pressure western clients. Put a banner with a price and wait people to come to you. This is how we buy stuff in the west.

1 star cos as always local makes you crazy. There is only 2 way to get in and get out. Super simple steps and road . And local guides will tell you scary stories how dangerous there and that is why you need to pay them . Nature is perfect
