Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture

Mentioned on
The Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture is located in the southeastern-central region of Yunnan Province in China. It shares borders with Lào Cai and Lai Châu provinces of Vietnam to its southern side. The autonomous prefecture's name originates from the prominent Hong River, which runs through it, and its two significant ethnic minority groups: the Hani and Yi communities, who reside there.
