Inland Sea Dive Site, also known as Qawra in Maltese, is a popular spot located on the island of Gozo. It features a picturesque inland lagoon with clear waters and a stony beach lined with fishermen's huts. Visitors can take a boat ride through a narrow tunnel to reach the Mediterranean Sea and explore the Blue Cave and Fungus Rock. The site is ideal for activities such as swimming, kayaking, boating, and diving.
Was an awesome boat ride through the rock. The water's colors were brilliant. I was extremely happy that my tour took us there.

Nice for short tracking route. We spend some time also close to beach. Good for making panoramic pictures and videos
Sonja Bobnar — Google review
Its nice. Not the best place in malta but you have to visit it and sit there for around 30 minutes. Not more... Its not that great as it seems! The water is ok. No place with shade.. Rocky and concrete everywhere.

Magic place to visit in Gozo! Perfect to have a little swim. The water was not cold for November. The place is very quiet, a few tourist arrives every end of the morning and in the afternoon. To come early in the morning and enjoy the moment ☀️ 🏝
Jonathan Cruz Sequeira (Cruzibabe) — Google review
Nice and beautiful place. Very small, not really for bathing over there, lots of rocks on the edge of the water. Make sure u have cash on you. The boat trip are 5€ each and take only cash. I didn't!😴
Alexandru Mircea — Google review
The main reason to visit that attraction is the small boat ride through the tunnel, out into the open sea. Overall nice experience.
Var_co — Google review
Amazing place. The views are great and powerful. Gotta be careful going down to the sea dive site as the rocks are very sharp and pointy
Federico Restrepo — Google review
Great place to start your dive from with some market stalls for food, drinks and souvenirs around. Did not dive here this time but did 30 years ago. Take time also to walk around the surrounding cliffs and you will see some stunning scenery.

The Inland Sea, sometimes called Qawra in Maltese and also known as Dwejra, is a lagoon of seawater on the island of Gozo linked to the Mediterranean Sea through an opening formed by a narrow natural arch. It was probably formed where a geological fault in the limestone had created a sea cave and the roof then collapsed. On one side there is a gently shelving stony beach with several fishermen's huts. The boats are often pulled up on to the stony beach. The bottom of the lagoon is also mostly pebbles and rocks and is fairly shallow. Exiting through the tunnel towards open sea, the floor drops away in a series of shelves to a depth of up to 35 meters on the outside. It is reported that Jacques Cousteau said the Inland Sea was among his top ten dives. On calm days fishing boats, known in Maltese as luzzijiet, can pass through the tunnel. Some of the boats are used to take visitors through the archway and then for a tour of the nearby cliffs and other sites, mainly to the Fungus Rock and to the site of the former large natural arch in the cliffs called the Azure Window.

My visit to the Inland Sea of Gozo, Malta, was truly amazing. We took a boat tour that explored natural caves, coral reefs, and unique rock formations. Starting at Inland Sea beach, we sailed through a rock passage and the visit lasted about 15 minutes, then returned to the beach where fishing boats and guides awaited. The tour was so cheap, making it a must-try experience. Don't miss this breathtaking adventure and spot!

A lovely otherwordly church in the middle of nowhere. The locals believe its miraculous, maybe they mean how lucrative the gift shop is....
Πετρος Αγιαννης — Google review
Fascinating inland cove, with divers, swimmers, fishermen & sunbathers all enjoying. Walk along the jetty to go on the 15min boat ride (€5, cash only!) through the cave to the sea. Saw more caves with orange coral and azure blue waters. Well worth it! Plenty of parking with a short, easy walk down the hill to the cove

Didn't get to dive here but would like too. Very interesting natural formation and cave/tunnel. If you're not experienced be sure to grow with someone as the water seems Very choppy and the curenwt5very strong.

It was so pretty and unimaginably beautiful. 1000000% recommend to visit it is insane.
Dorottya Veres — Google review
Beautiful bay/cove with crystal clear waters, with a cave that takes you out to the sea and surrounding lagoon. Pay for a boat to take you on the brief trip through the cave - there was a steady stream of them when we visited in early April alongside people going diving.
Nic Banister — Google review
We stopped here on a quad tour to hop in a boat and venture into the caves. The fishermen are so skilled we narrowly miss the walls of the caves in some places--simply amazing! Water is so deep, clear and blue 💙! Definitely recommend, and totally worth €5 per person.
Audrey Smith — Google review
Very beautiful site! The weather and sea was good so we were able to take a boat ride out to see the rocks and caves. Very fun and beautiful trip. It costs 4euro per person and each boat can take about 6-8 people. Highly recommend going for the ride!

The Azure Window Restaurant provides breathtaking views of Dwejra and the Inland Sea, making it a popular choice for diners. The restaurant's a la carte menu offers both Mediterranean and local cuisine, with excellent fish specialities. The staff is friendly and professional, ensuring a great dining experience.
Good food, nice view. But it is the only place on this beach. You have to wait for your order a little bit longer than you expect.

We visited on a busy Easter weekend. Tried the rabbit pasta dish which was tasty. It comes as a large portion but we finished it all. Washed down with a local bottle of white wine whilst viewing the inland sea. Friendly service.  Only issue is the one toilet and not the fault of the restaurant but it was being used by everyone and not just people eating at the restaurant which meant there was always a queue.
Melissa Finbow — Google review
Very delicious food and fast service. Had the grilled chicken honey & BBQ and the Spaghetti frutti di mare, which were both amazing, in addition to complementary bruschetta. The restroom is modern and clean. The prices are on the higher side (16-20 € for a main course), however I think it's worth it, considering the large portions, good food and good service. Would definitely visit again.

Very friendly staff, nice service, delicios food! They made my day ! Thank you for being so nice with us ❣️ I really suggest this restaurant!

Had the vegetarian ravioli and local rabbit that came with potatoes and veggies. Both were good. The view over the Inland Sea was very nice.

The best meal of all Country. The seafood was delicious, fresh and simple. So good. The waiters were nice and friendly. It was the best gastronomic experience in Malta. Must go!

Octopus was perfectly done, nice choice of wines, also local ones. Pretty views. The staff was very nice and professional.

We haven’t had such a great experience here. We ordered some fish meatballs as starters and they came with some complimentary bruschetta, which was nice, I have to say. But the fish meatballs were quite oily. For the mains we then had to wait almost an hour! My pasta with octopus was kinda meh — the octopus didn’t taste that fresh.

Everything was great, food, staff and views. Enjoyed a very romantic lunch here.

Great restaurant, great staff, great owner! We came for a quick dinner, but it turned out to be one of the nicest evenings we enjoyed in Malta/ Gozo. Please ask for the fish soup! I’ll remember it forever! Thanks for the great evening! We will definitely be back!

The San Lawrenz Parish Church is a stunning place of worship with exquisite interior and exterior decor. It showcases the great affection and devotion of the lauretani people, despite its small size as a village. The church offers breathtaking views from its top, allowing visitors to appreciate the beauty that surrounds it. The square where it stands is equally charming, complementing the church's remarkable decorations.
Very nice church. You can go all the way to the top and have beautiful views from there.

Very nice church and also the priest was young and energetic, a breath of fresh air, the problem is that the church needs a new or improved audio system as it was a bit difficult to understand the ceremony.

Simply spectacular, breathtaking views, the most beautiful Cliff in Gozo. Very easy to get to, from the road you take a side road to the right and in about ten minutes you get there. Absolutely worth it, at sunset even more so.
Leonardo Fant — Google review
Very nice place if you like nature and hiking. My partner and I witnessed the sunset in November, it was windy but gorgeous. I'm afraid of heights, but I managed to walk fine, but cautiously. Do keep in mind: -if you want to see the sunset, do get there ahead of time!! (as you have might have to cross privately properties) -it might not be easy to get to the cliffs (you might need to cross private property) -if you are afraid of heights, the cliffs and views might be too much/frightening
marfie — Google review
Beautiful view, easily accessible by car with a 10 min walk to the cliff. We walked along the coast from Ferry Port, quite difficult but beautiful views along the way!
Ben Renshaw — Google review
Great hike along the coast of Gozo. We walked from Xlendi Bay to the Ta Cenc Cliffs and most of the walk are along the cliffs, easy to follow path. Beautiful on a sunny day.
Jason Perce — Google review
One of the most beautiful sunsets we ever witnessed! In person it looks even better than in the photos.
David Renko — Google review
Wonderful spot to see the cliffs. Take care, no security to avoid the fall, but the view is worth it.
Alexandre HERBERT — Google review
Google map direction is wrong. The trail is blocked by a private property. Need to drive further west and walk 12 min. In the end also blocked by a private property
L. H. — Google review
Wonderful spot to watch the sunset. Walk to the cliffs is super easy & flat (rocky, but just watch your footing). I’m not good at all with heights, but you wouldn’t know you’re on top of a cliff until you start getting to the edge - where you can can still stay back and enjoy the views. Entrance is through a road marked private property - about a 20 min walk. When you reach the pathway follow straight ahead, don’t take the one on your left
Samantha Croft — Google review
Breathtaking views from the top. A 35min hike from Victoria bay. Quite worth it❤️

Had a lovely time on good friday walking from here to the ferry terminal. Cliffs are stunning, and it's not difficult to get here by bus from Victoria/rabat (just a couple minute walk from the nearest bus stop.) Would strongly recommend coming here if you have some time to kill in gozo. Just take your time walking here and don't rush because 1. You don't want to roll your ankle on a particularly dodgy spiky rock, and 2. You don't want to miss the amazing views. There is room to sit and lay down and even have a nice small picnic (weather permitting) without having to be right on the ledge. --> Always remember to leave no trace and respect the nature around you and not leave a mess behind you. Overall fantastic experience and had an excellent day. :))
