Bãi Đầm Trầu

Mentioned on
Beach
Located 1km before Con Son Island airport, Bãi Đầm Trầu is a stunning remote beach with a 700m half-moon crescent of soft sand, surrounded by casuarina trees and framed by forest-topped rocky promontories. It's best to visit during low tide when you can snorkel in the offshore reefs and indulge in some simple seafood shacks that are only open from noon until dusk.
A beautiful beach with the airport right around the corner so can see the planes landing, which is pretty impressive! Watch out for your stuff - some monkeys are very keen on stealing your food and drinks :)
Anastasiia — Google review
It is a beautiful beach to sunbathe and to go snorkeling , you will see a lot of beautiful sea life and corals.
Chnay Krafft — Google review
Very nice beach with the possibility to watch airplanes coming in from time to time. It is clean, there are also options to rent a hammock or a chair. A beach you could only dream of in other parts of the world.
Johannes Krasser — Google review
Beautiful beach! Clean and the most interesting thing is that you can go to a secret beach next to it, the way to go it's a bit risky, so maybe someone could try to improve it but going there was worthy. We used maps me app to discover that beach since you can not even notice it on google maps.
Erika Andrea Carranza Rojas — Google review
Very beautiful beach and the amazing thing is that you can have chance to see the airplane landing just above your head. The water is crystal clear. Golden sand beach with some beautiful landscaping
Hai Phan (Francis) — Google review
Nice beach. Not the cleanest ever but definitely cleaner than other on Con Dao. Parking at the entrance for 4k, the entrance is 3k. Not crowed at all. Nice place for sunset. Funny to see the planes land and take-off !
Lancelot Colas — Google review
Most recommended beach in Con Dao but sadly not worth the visit. The beach, like others on this beautiful little island, is littered with garbage and no one cares much to clean any of it. A lot of potential to be a fantastic spot to spend the day but unfortunately, tourism infrastructure on the island doesn’t go beyond the hotels and resorts.
Ken Machado Sugita — Google review
Best beach on the island. Quite remote with monkeys stealing your coconuts. They sell some drinks, have chairs, hammocks and showers. Super nice
Jacqueline Fatsawo — Google review
A peaceful beach for you to enjoy and breeze the vitamin sea. There are some local food providers, they can provide basic but nice seafood and offer you free seats on the sand and under the tree (hammock, nilon plastic...)
Kyle Nguyen — Google review
A nice large beach that bends around the bay near the airport. If you stay there long enough you can see aircraft approach the runway for a landing. I think the Bamboo Air jet arrives near 1500 hours. Keep your phone camera facing west toward the water & aircraft suddenly appear in site. There's a few cafe's along the beach that offer cold drinks...like Tiger beer and that is great. The bay is quite sheltered and the water is usually very clear & calm for swimming safely. To get there you will travel north out of Con Dao town along a scenic and mountainous well paved road. Just make sure you follow to the right at the fork in the road and then turn left on the next wide road to the beach...if not you will be at the airport and have to turn back. Well worth the ride & relax at the beach all day. The sunsets are spectacular as the beach faces west.
Dr Tim Flynn — Google review
One thing you need to do is swimming across the rock and then you can find a coral reef Or you can climb the rock and trek a bit through the jungle to find a secret coral reef Using the gg map and find the coral reef Must do it in Con Dao

Côn Đảo National Park Tourist Office

Mentioned on
National park
Côn Đảo National Park is a verdant island paradise that offers visitors the chance to swim, snorkel and hike through its lush landscapes. The park is home to a range of fascinating wildlife, including wild monkeys and sea turtles. With its idyllic beaches and crystal-clear waters, it's the perfect destination for nature lovers looking for an unforgettable experience in Vietnam.
Absolutely stunning park full of beautiful wildlife. We visited with tour guides who had a lot of information and knew the path/trails very well. We hiked 6km in flip flops (because that’s all we brought on vacation) - so it’s doable but proper shoes would be ideal! Make sure to bring lots of water but the hike is well worth your time and energy to experience the relatively untouched beauty of Côn Đảo!
Amy Passafiume — Google review
Côn Đảo National Park, nestled in the captivating archipelago of Côn Đảo in Vietnam, is a nature lover's paradise. Spanning lush tropical forests, pristine beaches, and rugged mountains, the park offers a mesmerizing blend of biodiversity and scenic beauty. Visitors are treated to a unique experience, encountering diverse wildlife, including rare species like the endemic Côn Đảo black squirrel. The well-maintained trails provide opportunities for immersive hikes, revealing breathtaking panoramas. Preservation efforts have successfully conserved the park's ecological balance. With its serene ambiance and rich ecological tapestry, Côn Đảo National Park stands as a testament to Vietnam's commitment to environmental conservation and offers a memorable escape into the wonders of untouched nature.

The track through the jungle is nice, but the beach is not worth the way. If you wanna go, do it for the walk itself or the waterfall. But don’t hope for a nice beach :)
Hans Peter — Google review
The hike was great, it’s in the jungle so luckily there’s wind sometime. Don’t forget to check if there’s a enough water by the time you’ll arrive at the beach because from the noon, there’s a lot less water than in the morning so its better to hike from the morning or after rain so at least you can see the waterfalls. We arrived at the beach around 12:00PM and the water already moved so far we couldn’t get far enough to swim. You can bring your own bottle of water but I recommend you to keep the bottle and throw it in the bins outside the jungle.
Monika Vu Thi — Google review
A great place to hike! The path going to your desired destination is clean and easy to pass through. I suggest going in groups because there are not a lot of people that trek this place. Make sure that you bring enough water, phone battery, and mobile data. There are are 3 place you can hike. Please refer to the brochure at the ticket office.
Glady Rose G — Google review
Around 6,5 km walking where you can visit some beautiful beaches that aren't so swimmable because of the rocks, but if you enjoy hiking and nature it's a great plan. We didn't have the chance to see any monkeys or birds as we expected but anyways it was great, 4/5 because in some areas of the beach and on the way there was some trash, and I guess maybe some signs or recommendation for people going would be good to remind them that they can't treat beautiful places as trash bags...
Erika Andrea Carranza Rojas — Google review
50.000 per day per person. Loads of secluded beaches. Some are polluted with plastic bottles and bags.
Nicole Price — Google review
It's a big area to hike and explore, need good stamina climbing to Holy Cave, Bang Waterfall, and Dat Tham Beach.
KHO MONICA — Google review
Amazing experience in the National Park. Buy your ticket and fill in the COVID declaration at the ticket office in the park. Then follow the clearly signposted paths to explore the rainforest. We saw monkeys and the endemic to Con Dao black squirrels plus plenty of insect life. Some steep areas but not too challenging.
Belinda Smith — Google review
I took the 6.5 kilometer walk through the park from southwest entrance near the ticket office to the other end close to the airport. The trail leads to the twin peaks of the highest mountain on Con Dao at 502m. That's why it took me 3 hours. There is nothing to see, you are surrounded by rain forrest. They still build the road, it is made suitabe for motorbikes to 220m height. The bridge at 280m height is under construction in December 2020. Several trees are labeled on the path, its quite and you are protected from the sun. Even on 500m height you can spot crabs!

Côn Đảo Prison

Mentioned on
War museum
The Côn Đảo Prison is a historical site and former prison built by French colonists, which became a torture site during the Vietnam War. It is considered a place of horror where Vietnamese political prisoners were imprisoned, tortured, and killed. Visitors are advised to visit the war museum first to gain insight into the history of the prison camps before visiting. A ticket provides entry into five attractions including this camp, home to the French tiger cages.
This was a tastefully presented museum type experience. The horrors of war is never pretty and to come close to this is both haunting and humbling. The strength it took to survive these prisons is unfathomable.

Côn Đảo Prison, located on Côn Đảo Island in Vietnam, was a historical site used during the French colonial era and later by the South Vietnamese government. It gained notoriety during the Vietnam War. The prison offers a sobering glimpse into the harsh conditions faced by political prisoners. Visitors often find it a poignant and educational experience, highlighting the resilience of those who endured the hardships within its walls.

Pretty good museum showing the brutal past. However, no you need to buy a ticket beforehand at the museum next door. You can't buy directly from the front gate of the prison museum.

It’s a prison. Make sure you go to the museum to read up on all the history and see some interesting artifacts. They are separated by a road. You cannot buy tickets at the prison, you buy them at the museum.

A good place to learn about the cruel history of this little beautiful island. A lot innocent people suffered here until they finally died. Van Son Pagoda

So beautiful! I was lucky enough to visit the pagoda during Tet 2024. There is a steep set of steps to the top so take your time and be careful and respectful of other visitors. Buildings are beautiful and well taken care of. The view of the bay is surroundings beautiful from the top. The pagoda complex well maintained and perfect for photographers.
Heinrich “Hein” Lombard — Google review
The only Pagoda on the island, also called Nui Mot Pagoda, Mot is the name of the mountain that this pagoda is built on. Very clean and beautiful place, from here you can gaze down to the ocean, putting everything into a romatic picture. Free drinks and sweet soups available, you can have as much as you want, just remember to wash the utensils that′s used. There′re some stairs that you will have to climb up to reach the place as well, but worth the effort
Bảo Trần Đức — Google review
a very spiritual temple with beautiful traditional architecture 🏯warning: there are a lot of stairs but if you’re willing to go up the stairs there will be a lot of beautiful scenery and views along the way 🥹

Definitely worth a stop! Extremely beautiful architecture and wonderful visitors. Monkies galore!
Hayley Russell — Google review
Nothing much here but temples and some naughty monkeys as a aethiest U have to walk up stairs to come to the top
Ryan Frost — Google review
I visited this mountain temple with my family at the beginning of 2022 and was impressed by its beauty. The path leading up to the temple is not too steep and my mother, who is almost 70 years old, was able to walk up at a slow pace. The fresh air and cool breeze up high made the experience very pleasant. The temple even provided free cold water and they were delicious. From the temple grounds, you can see the sea and there are stone benches to sit and rest on. There are many monkeys that come out begging for food, even trying to steal it if you're not careful. But they are cute and if you plan to visit the temple, it's a good idea to bring some fruits and rice cakes for the monkey families.

This is my favorite place when I visit Condao island. The pagoda offers a great view over the southern part of the island. The view alone is worth a short trip. You could receive a meaningful message as a small gift from pagoda.
Kyle Nguyen — Google review
A good 25mins walk from center of town, then the steps up to the Pagoda. Being a hot morning I took a taxi there and motorbike taxi back, saving my self for the steps..which actually weren't too bad, it is humid under the trees though. Lovely views from the top albeit slightly obscured by the trees, but that's what trees do..they grow. ☺ Plenty of seating and a beautiful breeze to relax by.
Ruth Turner — Google review
This is a very peaceful and spiritual Pagoda, visited by many locals and tourists. You have to climb 100-150 steps to reach the Pagoda. The views are good. They also offer complimentary porridge and tea to everyone. You have benches to sit and relax. Inside the Pagodas, the atmosphere is calm.

Hotel
Six Senses Con Dao is an upscale beach resort with exclusive villas, private pools, and complimentary breakfast. The property features four dining options and a spa for guests to enjoy. Despite initial miscommunication issues, the stay turned out to be fantastic thanks to the hotel manager's intervention. With around 50 villas sharing a 1.6km beach, the resort offers an extremely exclusive experience. Guests praised the friendly staff and recommended renting a scooter to explore the stunning island.
Absolutely paradise on earth. Lovely views, beaches, staff, services. Brilliant place. I would recommend 3 nights of stay. First day spend in the resort. Second day explore the city and history of the island (best to rent a bike). Third day enjoy activities at the resort: plenty of water sports, hiking tours, snorkeling and scuba diving. Last day, enjoy the paradise.
Tadas Cydzikas — Google review
After a poor start that resulted in not dining at the resort on the first night due to a series of miscommunication on part of the resort staff about my dietary requirements, this turned into great staycation. The matter almost led us to leave the resort and took several chats with the hotel manager Manish, to resolve and when this was, our stay was fantastic thanks to him and his staff. Dining at the Beach restaurant, the food was five-star, with quality produce and well presented. The resort, a one of a kind, quiet and beautiful, clean with amazing views from around the resort. The villas are lovely and generously sized. The complimentary ice cream was great. Our stay was made easy by our GEM Winny, who made the rest of our stay effortless. Another bonus was being able to see and be part of baby turtles being released into the sea. Magical moment.

This is an amazing place. Beautiful location, the rooms are just unbelievable. Service could not be better. Our experience manager , Luan, was a pleasure to deal with. Six Senses is a beautiful venue in Con Dao Island. As a Vietnam wedding photographer, I love shooting weddings here. Six Senses has stunning backdrops for your wedding day. I photographed the first ever wedding here and can't wait to shoot here again!

We had a wonderful vacation here at Six Senses Con Dao. Our butler, Trang, is absolutely amazing. She helped us setting up the dinner celebrating my niece’s 2 years old bd. The staffs are really friendly too. The food is delicious, specifically the ice cream shop. The beach activities including kayaking and clams digging are diversity. Will be back here when I have the chance.

Having stayed at Six Senses before, I decided to go for a coffee and see the Con Dao resort to decide where to book a few days here. I pulled up and soaked through after my bike ride. Before I had a chance to enter I was unceremoniously told that they don’t accept guests from outside. This of course is fair enough. If this is the resort’s policy then so be it. However, with a resort of this stature, I would have expected a warmer interaction. The South African (I think) front of house manager was short and to the point. I won’t be booking a stay at the Con Dao resort because of that interaction. I obviously can’t review the resort, but I can review the welcome.

The most relaxing place you can stay for a vacation. This place is paradise and the staff do everything possible to make your vacation relaxing. It was the highlight of our honeymoon and our GEM Lai made it very special for us. Can’t wait to return!
Brady Costello — Google review
This is a truly incredible hotel and is a level above most 5 star resorts. With only around 50 villas sharing the 1.6km beach it feels extremely exclusive, the 1 bedroom villa is simple but stunning, and extremely private and all the staff were incredibly friendly. Our GEM Lài, was amazing and was in touch before our stay and throughout to help organise anything we needed. If visiting the island I’d highly recommend renting a scooter and driving around the island which is stunning. The roads are quiet so it would be easy for even a novice / new rider. The food was great in both restaurants and breakfast was a highlight. Spa experience was the best I’ve had, visiting twice in 3 days. We only stayed 3 nights which I’d say is the minimum you should do to enjoy the resort but it really is paradise so next time we’ll aim for longer.

Heaven on earth! The hotel is incredible. Every detail is impeccable down to the smallest detail. Our villa was so amazing, right on the beach, clean, luxurious, and beautiful. Our Gem Loan was incredible. She is so kind, patient, and attentive. All of the staff at the hotel were truly incredible, friendly, and warm! David did most of our excursions and he was also amazing. The food was also delicious, fresh, and incredibly tasty. We truly feel so thankful to have gotten the chance to experience the island and hotel. February is a perfect time to go - the weather isn’t too hot and great for spending the day outside. We can’t wait to go back turtle season!! I would definitely recommend anyone visiting Vietnam to come to the resort! The resort is very private, exclusive, and perfect for a family or couple vacation.

If you think of having an island holiday, Six senses Con Dao is the number one you should visit. I have been to Fiji, Hamilton island and Bali several times, and none of them can bit Con Dao. Special thanks to Lài, our personal GEM, who made the experience magical. But really, all the staff were REALLY great. The food was amazing too....We really hope to come back one day! Thank you for everything, Six Senses Con Dao! Manuel & Jackie

This is a hugely overrated resort that dos not meet the standard of the six senses brand except for the price. Total rip off. The resort is old and tired, badly kept and managed and they were doing building works for a new Spa with the noise associated. It is not a luxury resort and the eco credentials don’t make up for it. We had booked for a week and left a free 3 nights to the An Lam Ninh Van Bay which is much nicer for a third of the price.
Laure Ghouila-Houri — Google review
The most incredible hotel experience we’ve had to date. The island is absolutely stunning, as are the villas. The breakfast and all the restaurants are top notch. The team — can’t say enough good things about the people working here. It was the best part of our honeymoon. This is a must visit for anyone traveling in south Vietnam. We will be back! MAJOR shoutout to Ngan and the entire staff!!! You made us feel so special on our honeymoon. Thank you so much.

I recently stayed at the stunning Six Senses Con Dao, and it instantly became one of my favorite resorts. It's quite isolated, making it the perfect place to find peace. Surrounded by beautiful mountains and a long private beach, the highlight for me was the beachfront villas overlooking the sea.

Nestled along the picturesque coastline of Vietnam, Six Senses Con Dao boasts the best beach view in the country. The crystal-clear waters and golden sands provide a stunning backdrop for a relaxing getaway. What truly sets this resort apart is its unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability. From renewable energy sources to eco-friendly amenities, every aspect of the resort is designed with the planet in mind.Upon arrival, guests are greeted with immaculate rooms offering direct views of the ocean and neighboring islands. The clean, spacious accommodations provide a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. For those seeking adventure, a hidden beach awaits exploration, offering a secluded escape into nature's beauty. I highly recommend venturing off the beaten path to discover this hidden gem. Many thanks to Truc, our GEM was truly a GEM, she was so helpful and we wont forget your support during our stay here. While the resort excels in many areas, there are a few areas for improvement. The culinary experience, unfortunately, falls short of expectations. The food quality leaves much to be desired, with poorly cooked pizza dough being a notable disappointment. Additionally, the demeanor of the general manager during breakfast service leaves something to be desired. A lack of warmth and hospitality detracts from the overall guest experience and should be addressed to ensure every visitor feels valued and appreciated. In summary, Six Senses Con Dao offers an unparalleled beachfront experience in Vietnam, coupled with a commendable dedication to environmental preservation. With some refinements to the culinary offerings and a focus on enhancing guest interactions, this resort has the potential to become a truly exceptional destination for discerning travelers.

Time to summarize the stay Con Dao Hotel Six senses 1.The place absolutely located outstanding , peace and quiet , oasis , views beautiful , landscape outstanding , airport pick-up very efficient and professional. 2.But it is only appearances behind the façade hides mediocrity , weakness , poor quality , old age , not caring , lack of attention to detail , such nothing beautifully packaged and sold for very big money 3.The hotel was supposed to be luxurious , but from the luxury remained only the name , nice staff and views from the villa windows 4. employees nice smiling , but mostly without professionalism . It is not enough to be nice , but you need to be professional , lack in service such as serving meals on a dirty table , not cleaning up after a meal and serving another on a table not prepared ( absolutely unacceptable in this class of resort) 5. continuous questions about whether it was good or tasted tiresome, interrupts the conversation and are unnecessary, even annoying. 6. breakfast room - entrance black piece of carpet - dirty , dusty , the floor gives the impression of not fully washed , unacceptable in this class of resort !!! 7. quality of bread - for dinner to breakfast mediocre , bread does not meet the criteria for freshness of quality is like rubber , baguette is not a baguette but an ordinary bun in the shape of a baguette !!!! 8. breakfast Vietnamese section tasty , soup very good , side dishes also , but the other ingredients in addition to fruit leave much to be desired , for example, pancake made very poorly , please remember that all the time we are in a luxury hotel Six senses , thus we are evaluating the value for money , and here he is violated to the detriment of guests and strongly. As a guest you feel strongly cheated. 9. food - Vietnamese restaurant at the lobby correct , good quality products mostly , except for baguette for now 10. beach restaurant - it's a mediocre place that has nothing to do with a real tasty restaurant , dishes uneven e.g. lamb chops not cut , meat hard not cut with a steak knife , open ravioli tasteless , pastry like rubber not eatable. Steak z was good interestingly enough , potato purée tasted different twice!!! 11. spa described as outstanding , the best in the world - it was unacceptable , the quality of the spa terrible , converted villa , entrance window unwashed , smeared glass!!! Employees as if ignorant of their work , unprepared for guests. The quality of the massage very bad in my case , I felt as if the masseur had no experience it was a waste of time , in contrast my wife's massage was very good and she came back satisfied. 12. overall quality of the resort - unkept , old , the rooms look clean, but the cleanliness is not outstanding , the quality of cleaning is average . 13.Floors in the resort as well as in the rooms are slightly unwashed looking in depth . 14.From the good points to certainly the lady who serves guests helpful , active , solves problems 15. the hotel is not luxurious average place where you do not want to stay too long and is not worth recommending , it is worth comparing for example the quality as a whole of hotels in Hanoi Capella and in Saigon Hyatt Park Hotel , for example these two hotels are 100 years ahead of six senses !!! there is no comparison similarly located and similar in price Bulgari hotel in Bali !!! quality cleanliness , quality of meals 16. as a customer using the service of numerous luxury hotels here feel cheated and stretched for a service not worth the price !!!

I am a US Marine Corps military officer and in addition also in the luxury hospitality management field. This review is long over due; I had the pleasure of staying at Six Senses Con Dao with my wife, and I must commend the outstanding service provided by Kieu, the Guest Experience Manager. I've been hosted by many GEMs throughout the world and thru many different luxury hotel brands. Kieu stands out the most and should be a model for all of those to follow! From the moment I checked in until the end of my stay, Kieu's dedication to ensuring a memorable experience was truly remarkable. Kieu's hospitality was evident in every interaction. She displayed a level of attentiveness that surpassed my expectations. Whether addressing inquiries, offering recommendations, or simply checking in to ensure my comfort, Kieu went above and beyond to make me feel valued as a guest. Her warm and inviting personality added a personal touch to the entire stay. It was evident that she genuinely cared about the well-being of the guests and took pride in creating a positive and enjoyable atmosphere. In addition to her exceptional service, Kieu demonstrated a thorough knowledge of the hotel's amenities and services. Her ability to anticipate and fulfill guest needs showcased her professionalism and dedication to providing a seamless and enjoyable experience. She also displayed her knowledge of the Con Dao with amazing recommendations from attractions, the many beaches and, local restaurants! Overall, Kieu's outstanding performance as a Guest Experience Manager significantly enhanced our stay at Six Senses Con Dao. I highly commend her for her exceptional service, hospitality, attentiveness, and delightful personality. She truly exemplifies the high standards of guest service that make a stay memorable and enjoyable. I commend Kieu for making our time at Six Senses Con Dao truly exceptional. -Phong + Han

This was my first Six Senses experience and it will surely not be my last. The Con Dao Six Senses set the bar exceptionally high with their eco friendly resort neatly integrated across the soft, sandy beach into the rocky terrain. My beachfront duplex villa was both spacious, naturalistic, and luxurious. Comfortable bedding, environmentally friendly products and a private pool meant my wife and I could enjoy peaceful mornings together before taking a few steps to stroll the pristine beach filled with crabs, seashells, and sand dollars. The food and drink options are equally phenomenal for breakfast, lunch or dinner if you want either western or local Asian cuisine. Finally, my Guest Experience Manager, or GEM, Kieu was wonderful and really made the whole stay personalised and unique. I can honestly say as a well-travelled individual that this is the best resort I’ve stayed at in the world.

Côn Đảo Market is a traditional covered market in Vietnam, offering just-caught fish, fresh fruits and vegetables, and local street food. Despite being located in the sparsely populated Con Dao, the Con Son night market is bustling with a fun atmosphere and offers freshly grilled seafood and souvenirs. Visitors can enjoy a variety of local delicacies such as deep-fried banana sticks while exploring the clean market.
A definite stop for anyone who loves fresh produce, fresh seafood and everything in between. This is a very clean market as well. Right outside, there are vendors who sell fish and seafood and cook it right there for you to eat on the spot. You can find oysters, uni, eels, snails, and many things from the sea I have not seen anywhere else. We will definitely come back to see what other delicacies we can find...

- All the items here for offering (praying / traditional ceremony for ancestors or historical people) are so expensive! If you're coming from your hometown or any other place, just buy and bring it (there's no limit to food or liquid for domestic flights in Vietnam). Also, flowers are from Da Lat anyways, so there's no need to buy them all here. - the best part of this market was the deep-fried banana stick!!!!! I could use some more powder or sauce for this, but still... this is so good! You must try! It's really cheap, too. Try !!!

Always something interesting going on t the market other than during afternoon siest time. The covered stall collective with grocers, greengrocers avd fishmongers etc is fantastic. Lots of eats to be had as well obviously. I wish someone would open up a "you bring it and pay us to cook it" stall... As a vegey that would be ideal...

New Market but most meat are still just placed openly. Not the storage as the weather is rather hot over there. Fruits and vegetables varieties are quite good while seafood are just common few items.

Bar 200 is a great option for those craving western cuisine, although vegetarian choices are limited. Its main appeal lies in its proximity to the beach, which can only be accessed by hotel guests or patrons of Bar 200. This restaurant offers a variety of dishes, including delicious pizzas and pasta (although the latter was slightly overcooked). The service is top-notch, with friendly and polite staff. It would be beneficial to have a fan for some cooling breeze since the location lacks natural airflow.
I’m crazy about the beef burger 🍔 The beach was amazing 😻 5 star for this restaurant and specially 5 star for the friendly owner Ms. Nhan - she was so nice to the customers ❤️🏝️

Had really looked forward to eating here, great reviews. Sat down at just after 8 pm. Place was busy. I put my order in before a large table next to me. Ten minutes later owner/chef came out to confirm my order. 8:45 staff member comes up and asks what my order is again. By this time there are only two tables. Big one and me. They have their food. I don’t. She asks again what I want. I confirm. I note that if she hasn’t put the order in yet I don’t want it. She states my food will be out within ten minutes. 9:00. I leave. Beer was cold.

They have tables near the beach but not many I got 2 spaghettis but i ordered a pizza at first, but somehow they mistakenly made me a spaghetti. Of course they were sorry and offer a return but it was okay. Nice staff The juice was not good though. I got a mango smoothie and i loved it They have room to stay as well. This bar belongs to a hotel, i guess

I was looking forward to tasting the so famous mojitos and legendary pizzas on the island but... The Mojito had no mint in it. When I asked, it took ages being served. Other customers were nicely seated, with table sets ready for them. My pizza came and my table wasn't set. I had to get up myself and get a set and some cutlery.... Other than that, the owner is a very nice lady and recommended me a tour guide for the next day. 😊

Was our point of call during our stay on Con Dao. Right on the water front with the option for using beanbags on the sand and table service. The fresh juice mixes were delicious and fresh. The food was delicious with fresh ingredients and was quick to be served. I had the burger which was tasty and we tried one of the big sandwiches which was BIG (and delicious). Everyone was amazingly friendly and accommodating for us and our 2 young children.

Went here two days in a row, for a drink in the evening and for what we planned as breakfast, which ended up being a beach day :) It’s quite a nice bar, lovely location at the beach where you can chill the whole day. The food is good. There are quite some nice options for western breakfast - a few on the photos. For breakfast, make sure to be there before 11 am. There are also other option to choose from for later - pastas, pizzas, burgers, etc.

This is a solid family owned place with great food. They make a special homemade pizza crust that is like perfection. Currently on Tuesday it’s 30% off and on Friday it’s buy one/get one free pizza. It’s a comfortable environment with friendly English-speaking staff.

Good place for western food if you’re craving it. They do offer some vegetarian options, but they are limited. The best thing to do here is to use it for access to the beach. It seems like you can only access that area of the beach if you are staying in one of the hotels or if you eat at Bar 200. And, to me, it’s the nicest beach to lounge on on the island.

A perfect place to enjoy the beach with bean bag chairs and tables on the sand. The burger was juicy and flavorful and my fresh coconut water was ice cold. There’s even a friendly dog who patrols the patio to make sure everything is in order 🫡🐕I wish I could come back many more times before I leave the island!

I often eat here, this is why I have put 5 stars, their blue cheese gnocchi are absolutely amazing! However today my experience has not been good at all. If you eat only halal, then you need to be very careful, I ordered local soup that they eat for breakfast something Bo Hue, which is a beef soup. I did ask if it has pork, I said I don’t eat it (in google translate), I did show the “no pork” picture to make sure, water wrote me, that it’s not pork it’s beef in this soup. When they bring the soup I felt taste of soap, already 3rd place where I taste it in Vietnam, and all dishes were different, which makes me sure, it’s not a certain ingredient that tastes like this. After I found 3 pieces of meat, 2 of them didn’t look like beef at all, it was clearly pork(picture attached)…I just had to stop eating. I also asked for coffee with condensed milk that I always order, in all local cafes people already remember what I drink, which is fine if he doesn’t remember, but still both things that I ordered were not to my satisfaction, and I just had to leave hungry…

Nice beach view, the service is a bit slow, maybe the restaurant area inside out is bit too big. Cocktails mix is ok but pizza is really good with affordable pricing. Highly recommend for an afternoon-evening chill

A very nice and discreet restaurant. We had two different pizzas which were excellent. We also had pasta but pasta was a little overcooked but good. Service was excellent and staff was very polite. A fan for some breeze is a suggestion. It is next to the beach but there is no breeze. Thank you very much for a very nice dinner. See you next time

This place has direct access to the beach and you can order and eat laying down and relaxing. Food is good and the atmosphere is quite chilled. Recommend if you want to enjoy the beach and grab a bit.

Gia Minh Hand-made Noodle Bistro is a charming restaurant run by a friendly couple who love interacting with visitors. The bistro offers a delectable and reasonably priced menu featuring both Western and Asian dishes. Set in a small garden where the owners grow their own ingredients, the eatery provides an intimate dining experience. Guests can savor handmade noodles prepared by the talented chef, who previously worked in Saigon.
Lovely couple who owns the restaurant. They are very friendly and enjoy chatting with travelers. The food was really delicious and affordable. They cook Western and Asian food. All seats are located in the small garden where they grow plants themselves and use these as ingredients to cook. We ordered 1 salad, 1 grilled garlic bread, 1 fried chicken, 1 noodle with pork and 1 spaghetti, 2 drinks. The total bill was 315,000 VND for 2. And the noodle was handmade by the chef.

The owner/chef and her wife are the only ones run the restaurant so if you try to eat here please bring a lot of patience coz they lack of staff hence, the service is slow. On the brighter side, their food is good especially the Wonton soup and handmade noodles. In addition, the chef is friendly and accommodating.

The green salad arrived in a giant funky shell; nice touch but I would have preferred my food to be more simply presented and good. Had the grilled pork belly salad. The noodles ARE very good but everything else (also had the sping rolls) tasted like cooked in old oil. Nice and efficient service. Food is definitely overpriced though. I had better in Vietnam for 30k a dish!! My salad was 230k.

Bistro restaurant with best taste Noodle is best dish because he maked by himself with his recipe. All dish is good and so delicious, only Cha Gio is not good in my opinion. Try once if you like Vietnamese food.

We went there for dinner. Cat fights in the eating area and so many mosquitoes. Veg noodles taste ok but noodles break off easily and have interesting texture. Fish and chips had strange thick butter outside and no much fish inside. The price was not cheap. She kept asking for drinks... So I had water. It was not a great eating experience

Throughout my stay in Con Dao, Gia Minh was at the top my places to dine at. It's run by a couple, and the husband has several years of experience as a chef in Saigon. I had several dishes over multiple visits, and all were delicious. But, by far, my favourite meal on the island is their Pan-Fried Con Dao Fish- so tender and juicy! Also, bonus points for staying open throughout Tet (Lunar New Year). All other dining establishments closed for at least a few days, and I could only take so many instant noodles meals from my hotel room.

Ordered great veggie hot pot.. added some appetizers for the full experience.. Best restaurant in town ! Con Dao had a nice vibe due to Lunar New Year

Ate here on two occasions, both of which were amazing. The noodles are freshly made (as oppose to the instant noodles you find in most restaurants), and they taste phenomenal. The Stir fried seafood is wonderful, the shrimp in particular which tastes very fresh. Owner was very nice to us, despite us waking him up from his midday nap on our first arrival. I would definitely recommend the vietnamese food over the western options, as the quality is simply fantastic. Generally a very good experience.

Best dinner restaurant on Con Dao hands down! I had the fried noodles with seafood, such a great flavor and good portion! My boyfriend took the Wan Tan Soup with pork and he said it was very delicious! Friendly service and great chef! He showed me his ‘hand made noodles video’ on Google Maps, you can see it here too! 🥰

This is a great place to eat and all the dishes we've tried have been extremely well prepared. The wanton soup with homemade noodles, fried tofu, fried seafood noodles and bbq pork are all delicious. All are served with a smile. We've been twice and hope to return!

Cheap, delicious, cool space, delicious BBQ abd vegetarian food. Sợi mì thơm ngon. Price 50 000vnd 1 bow noodle with wonton soup ,cheap but high quality. If you are allergic to eggs or flour you can ask the chef to make rice noodle for you. should visit when coming to Con Dao.

We ordered spring rolls from Vegetarian foods list and we're served very oily spring rolls with seefood inside. That's terrible 😕 When I said that it has seefood the woman didn't even apologize. Disappointed. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
