Went twice on our Houlgate stay. It was so good, I had to go back 😂 We had the gravlax salmon, oysters and foie gras for starters, then cream mussels and a „seguin“ galette. We also tried the supreme de volaille and the pasta „de la mer“ from the suggestion menu. Keep an eye for the suggestions :) the second time we came there were none but the pasta was a wonderfully tasty and filling dish 🦞

This restaurant is on the Main Street and easily accessible from the beach. Food was very good (cuttlefish recommended) and the service was extremely friendly and professional. Thank you to the manager Quentin as well as Marjorie and Martin. Definitely worth going to.

Vsitied on 28/05/2022. Writing in English for tourists because its a touristic trap. The photos in google doesn't correspond to reality since the restaurant has been taken over by new owners. No more pizza or other appetising desserts on the menu. The French fries are too oily and soagy for which the owner/manager said they are made in oil so its normal. You either eat or leave them. Eating these fries would cause health hazard and cause digestive issues, especially for the kids. I have reported this place at the food safety department. Arrogant managers running the place followed by inexperienced server who proposed drinks which are not included on the combo menu, so payable at extra cost. Men's toilet are not functioning.

Pathetic would be one word to describe the experience here. The fries were very soggy , as if it wad bathed in oil. When asked if it was normal that the fries were like this we were told we can choose to eat it or not. The waitress had no qualms in serving mediocre food . No attention taken in order as we were served what we didnt ask for and had to remind them of our choice. Wouldnt recommend this for anyone as it will spoil the experience of dining out.

Do Not eat here, food is no good overpriced and the new owner is not worth the detour either. I've been living in Houlgate for many years and there are plenty of nice places to go try in houlgate believe me this one is the worst.

I come here several times a year and have never gone here as it looks a bit touristy, but thought why not........Literally one of the worst meals ever. Pizza was raw dough. When I asked to have it cooked more they blow torched the top. Totally random. I didn't eat any of it and not one waitress asked if all was ok. Junk food, junk service. Much better food at many other locations.

Encouraged by the takeout signage and people with takeout boxes, I politely asked for pizzas to takeaway in my best French. 'Duex heures', was the abrupt reply, with a laugh to the fellow waiter. Really enjoyed meal here. I had burger that was very nice, my wife had mussels which were excellent. Kids meals were mixed with great pizza and disappointing ham.

The fish was excellent; staff was attentive yet not pushy.

Nice food - recommend the Mussels - and friendly English speaking service. They helped us accommodate our baby in a buggy with no questions asked. Only downer was we were a little inundated with flies buzzing around the place. Not a big deal for me but my wife really didn't like it. Seems like one of the most popular places in Houlgate, probably because of it's location.
