This place is an absolute find and the family that own it are amazing people. We was travelling spain and we came across this place and it was that good we went back 7 times. If you want michellin star quality food this is the place I cannot recommend this place enough.

A very nice restaurant with excellent service. My appetizer and meal both had excellent flavor and presentation. The fish was excellent and all i can say is i with there was more. I would say pricing is average considering the level of service and quality food. The sangria tasted good but had no fruit.

My wife wanted to stay in Archena on our way across Spain. Our first night we were lucky enough to find Restaurant El Tiora. We both ordered and when our food arrived we were surprised, not only was it delicious but it was also plated beautifully. The pictures on this review are from our second night in town, my wife enjoyed the flavor or my meal that she ordered it tonight. I consider this restaurant top notch because everything we have been served was delicious. The staff were always friendly and engaging with us even though we don’t speak much Spanish. The prices are also very reasonable. We will eat here for our stay in Archena, no reason to even try anywhere else. If you are in the area, this restaurant is worth the trip.

We love this place. We have been for the day before but decided we would stay this time and chose Hotel Leon. We had a superior room which had a balcony. We also ate at the hotel buffet. It was perfect for us as we have a vegan, a vegetarian and I am allergic to dairy and eggs and there was something for all of us and a bargain at 15 euros. The waitress was brilliant and got the chef to talk with us and we even had some food cooked for us especially so myself and my vegan friend could have it. The pools, as always are fantastic, and we visit everytime we are in the area. Of course we will be back!

Four of us did the €57 spa experience that includes entry to the baths, spa circuit and a lunch in the on-site restaurant. We didn’t use the hotel. Parking was €8 for the day. It was an ok day but it missed the mark for us particularly as it was quite an expensive day for a family outing. Firstly, the lady at reception couldn’t have been less welcoming if she’d tried which was a disappointing and unnecessary start to the day. The facilities were probably very good when they were new but the spa circuit, changing rooms, toilets etc are getting tired. The outside area was very weedy and I always think this is so easily resolved that it’s pretty unforgivable. The worst thing was the lunch. Service was incredibly slow and the waiters took a good half an hour to bring us a bottle of wine. Our main courses arrived while we were still eating our starters and dessert was either an apple, orange or kiwi. It took us an hour and a half to eat the light lunch and it was time we couldn’t use the spa facilities. You can’t take food in so your tied to their restaurant. Overall it fell short unfortunately.

We stayed at the hotel Levante at the beginning of September. Room and washroom was OK. There is only one lift and small for the whole hotel which can take long waiting periods if you need to use it. We enjoyed the pools, although some of the sun benches had bird pooh. The 2-hour termal circuit area had a funny smell like sewage. I enjoyed overall, but it would be nice if when using the space guests were reminded to keep voice volume low as it is a place for relaxing and unwind and to bring their pool shoes with them (we left them by the pool outside and saw signs indicating they were mandatory while using the circuit). The restaurant by the pool closed and opened at 8:30pm, there was a kiosk with some bites, but it would have been nice to know in advance that the restaurant was not fully operating during pool hours. The natural surrounding area is amazing, although the state of the antique excavation at the entry of the spa is in very bad shape. I have been coming to the Thermal swimming pools here for over 20 years but regret to say that I was quite disappointed with my last visit. Over the last few years entry prices have steeply increased well above inflation, but the facilities have generally deteriorated. Cleanliness and maintenance is poor and the place is starting to look shabby and dated. Windows were filthy, window frames severely rusty, masonry broken (possibly dangerous in places), paintwork patchy, lights broken, and weeds poking through the concrete everywhere. Bathrooms are dirty and several appliances (urinals, hand dryers etc.) not functional. They have replaced outdoor grass areas with artificial grass and removed several plants and greenery. They have taken out the locker locking mechanisms (that took a 1 euro deposit) and now you need to use your own lock or buy an overpriced 5 euro padlock in their shop.
