The temple itself looks cool, especially the painting inside. I must say an artist is so creative, there are several cartoons hiding in those paint you have to look carefully. The feeding fish technology is genius 👍 I tried a few desert on the market outside the temple, they are quite good.

Many may wonder isn't Wat Phuket in Phuket? Phuket is actually derived from the Malay word Bukit which means hill. Wat Phuket is build on hill. A nicely build temple with lots of activities and nearby stalls makes it even more interesting. There is a live local dance performance and you can see dogs, cats and chicken living in harmony.

The national park itself is beautiful, as is the entire region of Nan. Unfortunately, it cannot be explored much because there are really no maintained hiking trails. At the entrance to the park, we were told that it is basically just a camping site, and although there is a forest trail, it is not recommended unless you have a guide as much of it is unmarked, and in any case it does not offer much of a view. As we were driving west down the slope out of the park, we passed some truly spectacular sights that could be made into some of Thailand's most amazing trails. Sadly, this park does not seem to be regarded as more than a campground.

I did 1081 floating road with motorbike. No traffic at all and really enjoyable.

I did not get to stay long enough to see all the park had to offer, but what I did see was absolutely stunning. We stayed in the cabins instead of camping in a tent. 4 twin beds per cabin, a shower, toilet and a small kitchen with a kettle for heating water and a microwave. It was quite comfortable. From the observation area where the sunset pictures were taken you can get a really wonderful view of the night sky. Turn the lights off around the building there, lay down on the observation deck and look up. It is stunning. They offer food preparation, which is the best route to go seeing as anything else isn't really close. All things told, it was decent food at a decent price. I hope to visit this place again when I have a couple of days to trek around and really enjoy the natural beauty of this place.

If you want to get closer to the natural, here is the right place. The weather is very fresh. The scenery is very very wonderful. For the home stay, it is just okay with the very cheap price and it is among the mountains so it's not so much comfortable. Please do not compare with hotel. By the way, I love Doi Phu Kha and will go there again next year. :)

Good for hiking but beware - lots of leeches and trails are unmarked. Very easy to get lost. Ask for a map at the HQ. If camping or staying at a bungalow without a vehicle you will have to walk 700 metres downhill to the restaurant/shop/HQ then back up again.

Amazing place Heaven in hearth for those who love nature. Hosts Bird and his parents are super nice and kind. We planned to stay one night and changed our mind to stay more as vibes are sooo good. Go give some help out to Bird and his parents in his permaculture farm. We did not stay long enough to help with the farm works, as we stayed 1 night only. It was one of our best part of our trip in Thailand. The landscape is stunning, Bird explains so well his plans for the farm and his interest in permaculture. The dinner, vegetarian, authentic thaï food, was delicious, all together in the main hut, that he builded from his own hands. The breakfast as well, vegetarian. All cooked by his mother. We then rested on the terrace, looking for hours at the moon and the mountains. Bird organized for us a thaï herbal sauna (that they builded !) and we made our own tie&dye scarfs and dress. His mother explained us how to do. They are amazing hosts, very dedicated, adapting themselves a lot to your needs and yet, really wanting you to live their live and discover what is it to live in a permaculture farm. Please send them people interested in permaculture from around the world, they would love it !
