Market
Amphawa Floating Market is a renowned Thai local floating market that offers a wide array of goods, including traditional crafts and food sold by boat vendors and waterfront shops. The market has a clean and orderly atmosphere post-Covid, with beautiful colored lights set up on the bridge over the river between the two sides of the market. There are numerous food options available, and visitors can also take a boat to pay homage to the Buddha or for sightseeing.
Amphawa Floating Market is a great place to experience traditional Thai culture. The market is located on the Damnoen Saduak River, about an hour's drive from Bangkok. The market is open from 3pm to 9pm on weekends and public holidays. Here, you can find a variety of goods, including food, souvenirs, and clothing. There are also a number of restaurants and cafes at the market where you can enjoy a meal. I recommend trying the pad thai, a popular Thai dish.

(Translated by Google) Amphawa Floating Market, this is the 3rd time I've been there. The atmosphere of the market after Covid looks clean and orderly and more beautiful. There are colored lights set up on the bridge over the river between the two sides of the market. Before Covid, it used to be too crowded to the point of not being able to walk. The seats in the shop were almost empty. The last time was on March 2-3, when I went to coincide with P' Suea and P' Pod's concert. It's not very crowded with people walking in the market looking for something to eat. Walking is comfortable, but it's extremely crowded at the concert. Go to the market in the evening. Not all shops are open, some are closed, but no matter how many times I go, I'm still impressed. The market has delicious and unique food to choose from. And the price is not expensive. Even though it's the third time I've been here, I've never eaten the same thing. On this trip, I tried many restaurants that I wanted to eat "Kala Noodles" Namtok Pork Noodles served in a coconut shell cup. Sitting and eating by the water, good atmosphere, "bouncy", freshly made pork meatballs, very delicious, chewy, crunchy, soft, bouncy, you don't feel the dough at all when biting into it. There is no annoying powder smell. The meatballs are made into large, full-sized balls. "Bang Khae Amphawa Ice Cream" Coconut milk ice cream Intensely fragrant. Eat it like bread and it's super soft. "BBQ with charcoal grill" Pork barbecue costs 5 baht per stick. Honestly, how can you sell it for 5 baht and there's only pork? There was no pork fat at all. The pork was quite thick. Plus there's pineapple, tomatoes, and bell peppers. Charcoal grilled with juicy sauce. "Yen Commercial" Passion fruit ice cream Sticky flesh, sweet and sour, refreshing and delicious. Suitable for hot atmosphere We chose to stay at a hotel near the floating market. You can walk to the floating market without having to drive, convenient. History Museums
The King Rama II Memorial Park features a cultural-history museum and a traditional Thai house. The museum showcases the traditional Thai way of living and is surrounded by vast parks, perfect for strolling around or taking picturesque snaps. There are also several shops in the area, offering tasty treats such as coconut sorbet. Although the narration inside the museum is only available in Thai language, visitors can still enjoy its serene ambiance and authentic surroundings that include huge traditional homes from Thailand's past.
Not crowded at all, huge authentic Thai homes in the past, clean and relaxing. Good vibes.

Very cute little museum of traditional Thai living, also has huge parks for strolling around, and some very nice spots for picture. There seems to be a few shops as well-I had excellent coconut sorbet (not sure if they are there only fpr the weekend or not because there was another event going on inside the park at the time). Museum narration seems to be in Thai only however. If nothing else it offers great parking spot that can easily access the market and nearby Chaipattananurak Exhibition Project.

A beautiful place that show some of the cultural details of the Historic Thailand. Truly beautiful. Has a small entree fee as a ticket of 60 bath for farangs. And I think 40 for Thais.

Museums and Thai history is a big part of their culture. This museum, which was the home of Rama II, is kept in pristine condition. The boats are original while the fruits aren't. The spoon looking thing out of the rabbit's mouth is what they used to scrape the coconut flesh out of the coconut shell. Very interesting indeed. It's a lovely day out.

It is a spacious park with Thai traditional buildings, statues, ponds, trees and flower gardens. It was a pleasant experience to see these unique Thai architectures. The atmosphere was very peaceful. I visited during the day where the sun was bright, and it was blazing hot. If you travel during day time, you may have to bring an umbrella and wear thin casual clothes. Entry fee: 20 Baht per person. Time of travel: September 2018.

This is a very clean and well kept park with some cultural attractions and a riverfront rest area. Only 30 baht for adults and free for kids it's a good deal. The toilets are vert clean. You can see lotus ponds, orchids, gardens and traditional Thai wooden houses. These contain displays of how traditional desserts are made. You can also rent a bike for 40 baht and cycle around. There is a pleasant shaded rest area overlooking the river which gets a nice breeze. Highly recommend.

Flea & Street Markets
Tha Kha Floating Market offers a traditional experience of buying fresh produce, street foods and clothing on and around the canal. It is a genuine local market which provides an opportunity to taste cheap, yet delicious Thai-style food while enjoying music in coffee shops. The morning visit to this market is recommended since it feels more authentic, less touristy and relatively calm with fewer vendors due to Covid-19.
i love it here, good to come in morning. have a floating market and cafes.

Feel much more local and touristy amphawa market in the morning, the price is inexpensive even for Thai people. Although less merchants selling things due to covids. We also go 200baht boat trip to see surrounding cannel and also request them to show is coconut sugar making place.

Compared to Amphawa Floating Market, this place is more local. Most people around there are all local people. There’s not many tourists. And the price is cheap here. You can buy a coconut for only 10 BTH and an omelet is only 25BTH. Though there’s few seafood to purchase. If you are looking for lively touring experiences you should probably go to Amphawa. But Tha Kha is surely a good choice for some local experience.

This is a small but lovely morning floating market located in the midst of fruit & vegetable farms. Probably one of a few original floating market still in existence, where market sellers arrive as early as 5-6 AM to sell their wares directly from their boats.

Le marché commence a 7h ☺️ (Translated by Google) I loved this floating market! There are no, or very few, tourists. I have done other floating markets and for me, this one is the best! Little advice: arrive early, there will be even fewer people. The market starts at 7am ☺️

It was an amazing experience in travelling the small boat 🚤 for the floating market. There are lot of shops and eateries on the way to the floating market. We tried few Thai dishes and it was just amazing to savour. And people who are shopping 🛍️ freak cannot miss this place.

Totally robbed. We wereTold a trip from Bangkok in taxi round market was 300bsht per person. The taxi was, the trip by boat round the market was 3000 baht each!!! Never felt so robbed in Thailand. Fumes from engines were appalling, nothing to buy that you couldn't get in town. Food very limited. They took us to a temple and zoo and gave us 20mins there. We were back at the boat in 5mins. The state of the animals at the so called zoo nearly made us cry. Do not fall for this tourist robbery! Beware Nicki outside Rambuttri village hotel bangkok.

It’s small but the parking lot was crowded. It’s interesting to see the vendors in boats and they have cheap fruit. Worth seeing if you’re in the area but I wouldn’t go out of my way.

I got recommended from a local to visit this floating market. The market is small with very chill vibe. The food/fruit/veggies/etc is cheap (even for local like me). Some of them are direct from locals’ farm/garden so it’s good place that we can support local business. There are many local food/dessert here and the taste is fine. The sellers are friendly and make you feel welcoming. There is row boat tour with reasonable price for visitor/tourist. It’s less than 20 mins drive from the folding umbrella market so recommended for a short visit before head back to BKK for your one day trip.

(Translated by Google) Superb little floating market 1h15 from Bangkok. Locals come to buy fruits and vegetables and cooked meals. I advise you to go there, it's worth the detour!

Wat Bangkhae Noi is a unique and beautiful temple located in Thailand. Despite its unassuming exterior, the interior of the temple is adorned with intricate teak wood carvings that make it stand out among other temples in the country. Situated near a river, the temple offers a serene atmosphere and picturesque surroundings for visitors to enjoy. The carved teakwood structures, both inside and outside the temple, are truly remarkable and provide an opportunity for stunning photography.
The carved teakwood bot or ubosot (the main prayer hall) at Bang Khae Noi Temple is very spectacular. Thai carving work is second to none. A temple visit is worth spending time, not only getting ourselves peaceful minds but also experiencing the long history of the nation.
