Farm Tomita is a large lavender farm located in Furano and is visited by millions of tourists every year. The fields are full of beautiful flowers from mid-May to early October, and the greenhouse has some plants that bloom all year round.
Visited mid-May so the fields weren’t fully filled in, but from what we saw the farm is sure to be beautiful in peak season. Free admission. They have several fields of different flowers to enjoy, an ice cream shop, as well as a souvenir shop filled with a variety of lavender goods. Definitely worth stopping and strolling through the nice flowers!

Reminds me of lavender farms back in England, except far more colourful! If you are lucky with the weather, it’s absolutely gorgeous to visit. The rows of colourful flowers, combined with the open sky and distant mountains make it a necessary visit if you’re in Hokkaido. There are a lot of buses bringing tourists in the summer, so be aware it can get busy, but it didn’t feel cramped when I was outside the buildings. The ice-cream was delicious (I recommend melon and lavender), just make sure you eat it quickly. It melts very fast in the heat. The farm shops are very beautiful and well decorated, and sell all sorts, including dried flowers, perfumes, decorations and food items. The closest all-year train station is a 20-25 minute walk away, and only 5 minutes by train from Furano. The melon farm next door is also a necessary visit!

Farm Tomita is very famouse for Lavender flowers field! the views of field is seem like paintings ! unfortunately , when we got there, the flowers were starting gone! but, the flowers field is so huge that we take walk clean and peaceful path! the air was so so clean and fresh and the path along the low mountain was so peaceful! oh, the center of farm there are convenient complex shop including souvenirs shop and restaurants and so on! when we dropped by restaurants for lunch, we were so happy because the shop sells cool drafts beer!! wow! the tourists don't need to buy the tickets for park! especially tourists whois using own car! but, to the tourists who is using train, i recommend to buy "packages tickets" including JR tickets & experience old train & tour of Farm Tomita (when we tour Sapporo, JR Train sells it!) anyway, we had a good time here!
SeongHo Cheon — Google review
Beautiful place to enjoy some lavender fields and fresh melon (the best I've ever had)! Lavender is in its peak in June but I went in August and there were still some growing, but also a bunch of other gorgeous flowers. Plus, the melon is the best in August. There were a lot of people there, but everyone got a chance to get their perfect instagram photos, so just take your time and don't rush. It's not a place to rush. Also, I highly recommend taking the scenic train that only runs in the summer! One of the train stops is near this farm.
Rachel Sharpton — Google review
Was there on 12/6/23 The lavender was in full bloom. Nice place to hang out. We had to do the touristy thing: 1) try the lavender ice cream , melon ( not sweet) but the melon puff was amazing!

(Translated by Google) Admission is free, and you can enjoy the lavender fields and various flowers. I visited during Golden Week and wasn't expecting to see lavender, but there was lavender blooming inside the house. You can see the cherry blossoms, and the Tokachidake mountain range and scenery are also great. I think you can enjoy it without getting crowded even outside of the lavender blooming season.

Really touristy with buses after buses dropping off at this place. But this place is made for tourists so it has enough amenities to interest anyone. There's a big variety of shops (from dried flower, lavender to melon products) around the farm and beautiful flowers abound. There's also a lovely photography museum, factory production lines as well as various viewpoints (don't miss out on the viewing spot in the lavender factory). The entire area is nicely maintained and a well curated space with the path amongst the trees a personal highlight for me.
Rtexal Tan — Google review
We went there in the peak lavender season in July. The view and management was amazing at this place. I also loved shopping at the nearby shops for perfumes and cosmetics. The smell of lavender was enchanting.
Shruti Tonk — Google review
Great experience! Splendid view of the flowers, we tried the lavender ice cream and I can tell that is my second favorite in the world. The melon is super recommended, I’m not a big fan but this for sure tasted different… good different.
Sil Medrano — Google review
Was very crowded when I went in the afternoon. On the left of the car park were retail shops mainly focusing on melon and ice cream. That's not part of Farm Tomita. Farm Tomita is right of the car park. Flowers fields were pretty. There were several F&B and souvenir shops across the farm. So don't join the massive crowd in the first ice cream shop at the entrance, there's plenty more inside without the crowd.

The flower gardens at Farm Tomita are simply amazing. It looks beautiful from any angle. In addition, you can see lavender in the greenhouse all year round, regardless of the season. There are some such sad performances. All the food and drinks are very sophisticated and delicious. The customer service is also excellent.

This place has many different plots of flowering plants in all hues and colors and was indeed a warming sight for our tired eyes. We enjoyed ourselves wandering around the different fields, having a great time taking many pics for remembrance. The tractor and motorcycle in this place are all lavender in color! There is a small cafe where we enjoyed the sweet melon (we couldn't enjoy it elsewhere as all the melon farms have already closed up for the remaining months of the year (we visited furano in 2nd week of oct) and also different versions of the lavender ice cream. Multiple shops are located all over the huge estate for you to purchase different types of lavender goods and souvenirs if you wish. Toilet facilities are readily available as well too.

Came during off season so saw very little flowers im bloom Lavender ice cream was good Entry was free. Visit was last week of October

A must visit place in Furano. Visited at the end of June, Lavender is just beginning to bloom. Even at this stage, it's beautiful. Some types of flowers have yet to bloom so if you come in mid July it would be spectacular. There are many souvenirs related to lavender. There is soap, perfume, dry lavender flowers, essential oil...etc. Tax free is available for foreigners. Must try the fragrant lavender and melon Ice cream. And also the melon pan and fresh cut melon. So come early as it gets very crowded as the day progresses.

This place is like magic. So beautiful the Lavender garden. Full of colours. All kind of colours of Lavender. Not a very large garden but good enough to view the famous Hokkaido Lavender. The surrounding also have lots of stores selling Lavender products and Lavender made food. They also have the famous Hokkaido Melon. Parking is very big and clean. Great place to visit. Will be back
Eddie Tan — Google review
We booked a Klook tour to go here and it was the best decision ever! Even tho it was drizzling that day but we still enjoy ourselves very much. You do not have to pay to enter, it's free then along the fields there are cafes and shops that sell a wide range of lavender related products. The scenery is stunning really worth it to make a trip there, we tried the best selling melon bun but it's too sweet for our liking. Best to rent a car and drive there or go on a tour like us.

Visited Farm Tomita yesterday to see the lavender fields and plants. Pretty nice fields, though be warned many tourists come here with buses so it’s quite crowded. There’s many shops that sells lavender ice cream, lavender cream puff, mangoes, mango puff. There’s also shops selling lavender perfume and lavender items. Feel free to spend your money there

Very lovely place to wander round. We visited late October and there were still some flowers to view although not much lavender. Shops selling all things lavender and a cafe attached too with simple meals & lavender ice cream.

The Flower Land Kamifurano souvenir store offers a wide range of gifts and fresh melons. There is also a restaurant on-site. The flowers are in bloom from May to September, and the best time to visit is between June and July.
Some tour buses but the layout of the farm makes it not crowded. No fee to enter or park. Big free parking zone with toilets nearby. One of our favourites flowerfarms in furano, neat & clean. The farm overlooks the valley & mountain range in the distance, stunning sceneries. There is workshop to make pillow etc. A souvenir shop & melon, snacks & ice cream are sold at cafeteria. Many wedding couples have their shootings during our visit.
Angie Lee — Google review
We visited this in 2nd week of oct and there was still an hour before the published closing time of 5pm. However nothing much can be seen in the market place area (not sure if everyone has already closed shop or all good were sold off etc). We spent some time in the section selling food stuff and souvenir before venturing out to walk about the beautiful fields of flowers.
A C — Google review
The flower landscape might not be fantastic, but the view of the mountains behind it is fantastic. There is lesser crowd in the morning and it was so great enjoying the fresh air and beautiful atmosphere and landscape. Farm Tomita might have more flowers, but too crowded with tourists and can't really take nice photos with so many people at the background
Jean — Google review
Free viewing of a whole hillside of fantastic flowers. Why pay 500 yen at other locations? This place is beautiful and less crowded. They have cafe, and of course local fruits, drinks, food etc.
Richard Keating — Google review
I went there in autumn, so there are not much people there, I can take a lot of pictures of the fields and the mountain.
Kenneth Yuen — Google review
It’s not that popular than other flower farm, less tourist so less crowded but it’s a beautiful view. I recommend to ride the tractor bus to see more amazing view. And eat ramen beside the flower farm.
scbk 001 — Google review
Stunning place with impressive snow capped mountains in the background. Not so crowded as some other farms so it was ideal for admiring flowers at a leisurely pace. Went during mid June, it was already so pretty!
Jing — Google review
Not as popular as the other flower gardens in the area which is a good thing as it’s not overrun by tourists. We had the place almost to ourselves. There are a couple of lookouts and you can walk in amongst the flowers here. There is a tractor tour that takes you around that lasts about ten minutes for a small cost, we chose to walk instead as it doesn’t take too long to walk around. Theres a large variety of flowers but wasn’t any lavender when we visited (August) as it must have just been harvested. There’s a shop here too and an area for photos (they have melon and cucumber hats you can put on).
Thomas B — Google review
Absolutely fantastic. Stunning scenery and variety of flowers. Came at the beginning of Sep and the flowers were still there in all their glory. A shop at the entrance sells extensive array of souvenirs and snacks such as the famous melon and corn on the cob. Definitely worth a visit.

Furano Winery is a relatively new winery situated amidst the lavender fields of Furano. Visitors can experience tastings, witness glimpses of the production process and enjoy views of seasonal lavender blooms. The winery has achieved great success with their ice wine varieties. The first floor provides a window for observing the wine-making process while the basement displays their wine cellar. The second floor is home to a museum and souvenir shop. There is ample parking available at this establishment.
A nice place to visit. A 2 level building and display some local Furano wine. Reasonable price. They even have free and paid wine tasting. Beautiful area too and ample parking. Will be back

Visited on Feb 2024. The self-tour itself is unremarkable at best, but there's free wine sampling on 2F together with paid sampling options (200yen/20ml; rather expensive). Also, there's a shop where you can buy wine and other wine-derived products such as wine cheese and chocolates with wine.

It's a place where you sample (self-service!) local wines and wine-filled chocolates (melon too). You can also observe the bottling / packing process from a window. Depending on the season, you get to see flowers outside.

Very nice self-led tour that ends in a nice wine tasting segment and merchandise shop. Recommended.

Pleasant exploring the winery and learning the process of making red and white wine! You can taste 3 wines for free and many other wines at a small cost. You can buy many selections of wine there. They accept most credit cards (but not Youtrip), and they are not tax free at all.
Liau Yuan Wei — Google review
Reached at 4pm, there’s free tasting of 3 wines available and paid tasting (200yen) which you pay cashier to get special coin to vending machine to 20-30ml of wine. There’s different choices of white wine, red wine and sweet wine.

Like quite a few good reviews but...... A bit disappointing. What they claimed as their #2 Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot, we bought two bottles and tried one in the evening- what a major disappointment - it tasted very young and more like a Pinot Noir- looked like a Pinot too. Bought a rose but yet to try. They have a cellar below, tho nothing much to see.

Orders are placed on the touch panel and taken with the terminal at the time of accounting. Water, towels, and paper aprons are self-service. If you eat and compare the three types of lamb meat, you can see the difference in meat flavor. It's just that the meat looks like it's cut off, so it's big and small. We recently visited the restaurant Six Flower Mountain Lodge with my spouse and friends. After a considerable period of time, we were presented with a menu that boasted a variety of curry dishes. The desserts also left us wanting more.

Moreover, the price was very expensive. I really felt cheated! (Original) 在日本體驗最差的餐廳! 剛到富良野,因為附近沒什麼餐廳就進去了。結果吃了一碟超難吃的炒飯,真的比即食的還要難吃,像是隔過夜的,而且價格很貴,真的感覺被騙了!
