We had a nice lunch here the other day. Small menu, but I assure you that every item on the menu is made perfectly. The restaurant is a little bit more pricey thanks to the location, views, and the service, But it is 100% worth every penny. Strongly recommend

Trattoria dei Bracconieri is a gem that doesn’t take bookings at lunch, so you have to take your chances—and it’s worth it. The view alone, overlooking Como and stretching to the Alps, is breathtaking. The fresh homemade pasta and the food overall are simply amazing. While we didn’t try it, they offer cocktails on the rooftop, which sounds like a fantastic option. Give it a go; you won’t be disappointed.

Stunning view out on the balcony, matched only by the beautiful blueberry pasta with a creamy white truffle porcini mushroom sauce (a secret family recipe). Highly recommend.

This was a highlight of our trip up to Brunate, very friendly staff and the food was delicious. We were lucky to get the table in the right corner of the terrace - the best table in the house. Incredible views, lovely food and a great bottle of wine. We each chose pasta dishes, which were cooked to perfection and very tasty. Highly recommended, a meal with a view!

Came for lunch and had a great view of the mountains and lake while enjoying my pumpkin gnocchi and espresso. The staff were friendly and service was pretty fast. Highly recommend!

What a gem we found after riding the Como tram to Brunate, Trattoria Dei Brocconieri! The beautiful boutique restaurant is run by a warm and welcoming family, their gracious staff, the food prepared by the chef husband. Our family all raved about their cocktails, our host knew exactly which glass of wine would fit individual preferences as well as and pair best with dishes selected. This was a dinner you never forget. Homemade exquisite sauces, homemade ravioli and various pastas crafted by a very talented chef with the very best ingredients, this is a charming restaurant, breathtaking views. Definitely worth a visit!!! We wish we had saved room for dessert, their homemade Apple Torta looked Amazing!!!

Wonderful restaurant with delicious cuisine and wine overlooking the most stunning views of Lake Como. Definitely worth a visit for lunch when you get to the top of the funicular. This restaurant was perfect for a special lunch with my fiance.

The place is nice and the view is great. The man who I assume is the owner is quite rude but has a lovely wife. The food is pricey and is nothing special. You mostly pay for the location.

We came in here after taking the tram upto the top of the mountain at lake Como. It has great views. We only got drinks and it is worth coming in for the food. The staff were a bit mardy tho but overall a nice visit

Rude service. They will not let you enter unless you order a meal because according to them "this is a restaurant not a bar", but the food is really overpriced and not very tasty at all: old bread, soggy vegetables and probably a mozzarella you can buy in any supermarket. Because we didn't order a "big enough meal" they told us we can only sit for 30 min. The price was incredibly high, for the quality of the meal. The view is beautiful but it's not worth the server's attitude and the price. We finished our meal and got the hell out of there.

The view from the terrace is incredible. Top it with the best risotto I’ve ever had and you have a 5/5 score. Great place.

We chose the outdoor table to enjoy the views but didn't stay long because the rooftop started leaking right onto our table. The food, Bolognese pasta, was quite average. The elder waiter, a male, was notably nicer and more helpful compared to the female one. Not sure if will come back again.

This restaurant was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Como! We went an hour before closing as that’s when the sun was setting and they accommodated us soo well!! They got us the best seat available immediately infront of the view and gave us such friendly service even so close to closing! Visiting this place is definitely an opportunity not to miss, the food is delicious and the views are stunning, we came here on the last night of our trip and we couldn’t have chosen anywhere better to spend our last night in Italy! Couldn’t recommend more!!!

Solid 3.5 stars. Food was ok. Service could be a little bit better. There were tables available outside and we asked if we could sit outside. She said it was reserved. 10 min another couple sit there and we asked then if they reserved and they said no. However, View is amazing.

One of the best places when it comes to the view, has two terraces with entire como region below you with its vibrant colors. The staff is so nice and professional. The food was super tasty, especially my pasta which came with fresh fish from the lake. Their wines are good as well. But this is a touristic place so the prices are more expensive than the normal restaurants.

Bellavista is a perfectly restored traditional Italian Hotel with a long standing history in Brunate and lives up to its reputation. The setting of the hotels restaurant is simply amazing with views across Como Lake and snow peaked mountains of Switzerland. The sunset over these mountains is just fantastic. The food is divine and to be honest, deserves more than just 5 stars. The staff are very friendly and the service is spot on. I would highly recommend this hotel and restaurant, it is a must see for everyone. If you plan to stay here, try to get a top floor attic room, you will be blown away by the windows over looking the lake.

Restaurant review: book in advance to get a table with a great view. Most spots have a decent view but hard to beat the first row experience. Food was neither great or bad. It was quite alright. You come here for the view rather than the food, but food was still good.

Had a wonderful stay at Bellavista Boutique Hotel e Ristorante. The kind and helpful staff gave us exceptional service. The funicular was undergoing maintenance during our stay and it was thanks to the woman I spoke to on the phone that we were able to get up to Brunate at all. The restaurant served delicious food, the spa was very relaxing and the rooms were perfect. 10/10, would stay again.

From customer service to the location, every morning fresh air and unbelievable sunrise and sunset! Managers always go out of their way to help guests with information, stuff is so friendly and welcoming, we loved our 7 night stay here, definitely recommend for a family, our 6 year old enjoyed it! The style of the hotel and our junior suite was unique and we loved it, I’ve read people experiencing sounds of the bed but it settles after a night, the bed is a classic vintage wood style so it’s fairly expected to have it creaking when turning, and the serpentine road by car to the place is also manageable, just be careful with oncoming traffic as some drivers tend to be super fast 😅 If you are arriving from Bergamo via rented car, best to set GPS to Como city and once there pull aside and insert BellaVista hotel it’s easier to drive and get to the place. Also if you don’t wish to pay tolls you can select on your gps roads that will avoid tolls and motorways, might take longer but just 15-20 mins more, and saves you the hassle with tolls payments. We rented a car with Locauto and we had a good service! Happy Holidays and definitely visit this Boutique hotel during any time of the year☺️ December is just extra magical🤩

An interesting place with an amazing view. Great food, but poor service. When we came at first we wanted a coffee with desert and they put us from a better view table to further one. Waitress only came after 10 minutes. Asked what we want to order but we hadn't receive the menu yet. They didn't bring any table cloth at anytime. Later we ordered pasta that was amazing. View from the restaurant show all of the Como.

Great view on the lake, easy to reach from como by cable car. Very nice people and service. Good restaurant. Rooms with lake view! Bed could be softer, furniture a bit better maintained and doors to close more to avoid noise from outside. Still very nice to come back.

If you want to visit Lake Como but have a view from your room, this is a place for you. The funicular that is less than 100 meters from the hotel takes you right to the lake. You can also access the hotel by car. There are 6 parking spots in the garden but they are not for big cars so leave your SUVs at home. The incline and twisty narrow road is a thrill. 😁

Our sunset dining experience at the Bellavista was the highlight of our vacation to Italy! Food, atmosphere, view and attentive service was superb. I explained to our server, Sabrina, that I have celiac and she ensured that I ordered correctly and even brought out gluten free rolls for me. It was a magical night.

Everything was wonderful! It was a perfect start to our trip in Italy. The staff greeted us warmly and showed us our room, which had the most spectacular view of Lake Como and the town below. Definitely recommend getting a room with a terrace. The restaurant was delicious and we wished we could have stayed longer.

This is the most charming place to have a drink or meal when riding to the top of the funicular. Just steps away from the station, the servers are ultra friendly and the views are simply incredible. Not expensive!!!

The place is old and charming with modern conveniences. The restaurant is a big surprise because I was not expecting fantastic! Full and exciting menu. It's a good thing we will be here a week. We made a very good choice to stay here.

We had a lovely stay here. It is in a beautiful location. Use the funicular to get up the mountain but this can get quite busy. The room and all the decor in the hotel is 1920s. The service is great. Tasty continental breakfast.

We came to have dinner at the restaurant: the main reason for coming here is definitely the stunning view. Service was alright but I wouldn't say it was friendly. We both ordered pasta dishes: ravioli was okay, but stay away from the pasta with powdered fish. I wanted to try something new, but take it from me, spend your money elsewhere. Portions were small, and very few options for people that don't eat meat

Beautiful view from the restaurant terrace. Good service, nice staff. Prices are at a decent level. Clean. There are a lot of vintage items inside the building. There is a parking lot nearby. I advise you to come here after you have climbed to this height 🙂 Maybe one of the incredible views on the Como Lake.

Great place for a nice lunch! Great views of Como and the lake, excellent and fast service and, most important of all, really tasty food. We tried pasta and meat and everything was the way you should expect. Good portions and good food with a view. Even the price was quite reasonable. You can't really ask for more

6th September 2023 - We cannot comment on the rooms at this location however we were extremely fortunate to dine here at the restaurant. Given how busy they were and we did not have a reservation we were so very lucky to get a table within 30 minutes of asking. Extremely accommodating and generous. The service remained that way throughout our dinner as well. Very friendly and helpful. THE VIEW - WOW. Overlooking the Lake Como area as the sun was setting. This was just fantastic and we were not disappointed with the food neither. It was worth every dollar spent.

came here just for drinks a little after lunch time. while the view and ambience were stunning, the service was subpar. the waitress got our order wrong even when we corrected her the first time around. we waited around 30 minutes for just our drinks and he staff just seemed irritated at all times. beautiful place but just don’t go when it’s busy or else it’ll just ruin the whole mood..

Fantastic place with traditional dishes from cold cuts, to polenta, to meats, to pastas. Desserts were also amazing, especially the pear chocolate cake. Pizzoccheri were not traditionally made so I would avoid order them if you were a purist (I am).

Excellent food, friendly service. They brought out a small pina colada custard as a surprise starter that was tasty and refreshing. Plenty of shaded seating on the terrace. A bit of a challenge to get to without a car (20-30 minute walk up steep paths) but worth dropping by and checking out nearby Faro Voltiano.

Everything we ate was super delicious. Very good and fast service even though the restaurant was full.

Great spot for a savory break after the steep walk uphill. Fill up your energy before starting the descent and enjoy some great polenta and other local cuisine specialties! The black garlic polenta with added salsiccia was simply to die for. An excellent sweet and tangy depth of flavor of the dry-fermented Korean garlic mixed amazingly with the cheese and pork sausage and were lifted nicely by some sage leaves. Well rounded and generously portioned. We also had an antipasto with lard that melted on our tongues and went very well with the sweet pairings of wild honey and chestnut cream. Would definitely recommend. The price was fair, with 42 euros split among the two of us (one antipasto, two polentas with extra toppings and a litre of water).

Great food, service and congenial atmosphere. If you want to eat here get somebody else to drive. It's probably better to visit during the day when there is daylight. If you decide to eat in the evening take account of the fact that the road is a challenge for anyone with a medium sized car, if you have a SUV it's a nightmare. If you have difficulty reversing choose another restaurant.

A gem up on the hill. Went here two nights in a row. Love the delicious polenta and the funky bottles of wine on the list. Amazing service.

This place surprisingly had one of the best pizzas!! After a hot sunny day, when we got to taste their Hugo spritz.. my god it was soo soothing.. Thanks for that :) And the pizzas were so soft, fluffy topped with good amount of cheese and veggies/Meat.. Not to forget, their view 😍 All in all we had a really nice lunch here!!

This might be one of the BEST spots to watch the sun set if you are planning a trip to Brunate! The service is what I would deem to be standard for Italy. They don’t rush you. The food was also great! We tried the cheese board, boar and polenta, Diavolo pizza, boar tagliatelle, and the gelato. I will say the berry gelato was way too sweet for our liking though.

What. A. View. As close as it is to the funiculare, you didn’t need to explore very far for good food, service and a view. I also personally enjoyed people watching as all the tourists came off of the gondola. The ragu was incredible. The waiter let us move three times for a better view, and warmer seating - because we came in the off-season.

Beautifull place to have a lunch. If you can and there is free space go eat outside close to the railing/cliff. Food was decent, but nothing special. Cold drinks on a hot day felt amazing. Close to the funicular at the top of como. One of the best places in that area.

The Taste of all we had was very good. The portions were big and the prices of the secondi plati were better compared to the primi plati. All was delicious. The ribs are more than enough for 2 people.

This place offers absolutely breath taking views along with all the food it has to offer. Very easy to recognize, just outside the gate of the Funicular gate in Brunate. During the peak hours that is between 4-7pm one needs to wait in line as they have a very few and limited seats. We were given chips as complimentary titbits to munch with our Apperols. We loved the ambience and the way we were treated. Would definitely recommend!

I haven't ate such pasta in my life. The pesto is haven. The lasagna is so smooth. AAsparagus sopu is like a light foam. The best restaurant & the view, amazing.

After a nice tour of Como, when you take the funicular to Brunate, it is right in front of you at the exit of the funicular. We had a good home made wine accompanied by a delicious meal at Capolinea Bistrot. We had a great time,when the friendly faces of the employees were added to this meal. I thank the owner of the restaurant Elena, for her delicious meals and I plan to come here again as soon as possible.

The food was amazing! It was hearty and homely, it felt like alot of love was put into making the meal. It was delicious and the staff were extremely nice.

Awesome restaurant. Pizzas were good (diavola and prosciutto fungi) but the real star was Gnocchi that we took as a starter (you have to try it) and 0.5 l homemade wine which my wife felt in love with :) Austrian beer was really nice also. Restaurants have the option of eating outside, which we used. Service was fast, polite and very helpful (no problem with didviding one starter between two of us on separate plates). Definitive recommendation for anyone visiting Volta Lighthouse.

The owner was super kind to us and served our family of 5 outside working hours. It was raining and we were literally the only people in the restaurant. But most importantly the food was mindblowing! Pasta with porcini mushrooms was to die for and 4 Stagione pizza was perfect. Highly recommended!

Terrible food. Nioki was too salty. Veal was overcooked. Polenta was tastless like eating sand. We were still hungry after lunch. 2 stars only because the service was good.

Good pizzas, we really liked the Calzone and the Inferno pizzas but if you do go for the Inferno pizza keep in mind its quite spicy. Very good prices and wide food variety. The menu has English too. Quick service and friendly staff, and there is both indoor and outdoor seating areas.

Very good pizzas and very well priced considering the location! The pesto with brie and mushrooms pizza, and the one with onions and sausage were our favourites.

We were here for a quick lunch, and wished we had ordered more food and spent more time. Very welcoming staff and nice decorations. Of course food was the main star and we were impressed. Ordered what I consider a simple pizza - just mozzarella, brinjal/eggplant and parmesan - but it kinda blew our mind how delicious it was.

Amazing place. Make sure to get there before 2pm to enjoy all the pizza variety as they turn off their oven after 2pm.

Great spot on the top of the mountain. I had the roasted veal which was so tender and the gnocchi pesto was good. Olive oil the used was great. Blonde draft beer was refreshing and service was good and accommodating to English. Unfortunately they were not making pizza the day we went I wish I could have tried but next time I'm in Como I will be back to taste
