Wildlife and safari park
Zoos & Aquariums
The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is a sprawling wildlife sanctuary with hundreds of exotic animals from around the world. It's perfect for first timers and provides a close-up view of some of the most impressive beasts on earth.
San Diego Safari Park is the best zoo in Southern California. You have a lot to explore and try out. Make sure to talk to the guide at the entrance for some useful tips of that day. The lion’s sanctuary is the best and we had a great show (see the photos and videos). The tram experience is very good for the kids and the driver is very knowledgeable and funny. You can take a lot of photos. You will have a close encounter with kangaroos and elephants too. If you are lucky then you may pet a few kangaroos. There are many locations to interact with animals, but most of them are closed on the day we visit. It is not very clear which way to go. So, use the map and plan it well. Then you don’t have to walk back and forth to cover the places. It took us around 7 hours to complete (30 minutes lunch). The food is a bit expensive and not that great. But try out the fudge.

The park is amazing. It is a great way to somewhat experience a "safari" in the midst of California. My entire family (5 of us) spent a wonderful day at the park. So why 4 stars? 1. It is expensive. The 5 of us spent around a $1,000 with all the rides. The entry tickets are about $60 per head. But what you experience is somewhat limited. 2. Not enough carnivores. If you were thinking you'd be driving by a herd of lions, that's not what this is. Your safari will take you by 4~5 animals - giraffes, rhinos, zebras, and some gazelles. Again, safari is a bit underwhelming. Other than that, we had a fantastic day. The kids felt like they had their fill of animals. Food and drinks were reasonable. And a fantastic family outing.

Tourist attraction? Yes.... But a place where animals live and are treated better than I get treated in life? YES! A place where animals have a chance of not going instinct? 100% A place to have an up close and personal view and education of some of the most beautiful animals in the world? 1,000% Every visit to this wonderful place provides you with chances of seeing animals in their natural habit living environments. Your contributions to this park help save these precious lives. Great for the whole family. One of my favorite experiences here is the tram ride. Take a tram around the expansive Serengeti environment with very happy and well cared for animals. A must see experience and photo opportunity.

The Safari park is great for outdoor activity, walking, families and visitors of all ages. I am a local so I know that the Safari park can get very hot in the late spring, summer and fall. Plan accordingly by wearing a hat, bring a refillable water cup - free refills of water at the restaurants, sun screen, lightweight clothing. That being said- we visited in January and the temps were perfect with a little cooler breeze now and then. Food prices can be expensive but the portions are reasonable. If you're a local consider getting a pass which will be good for Safari Park and San Diego Zoo. There are different pass levels so e aware of restrictions when purchasing. There is a lot of information on the website including stroller rental, mobility scooter rental, operating hours and current pricing. You can apply the cost of your ticket to a pass if you decide to upgrade. The patches are smooth and easy to walk but the park is big, riding the Africa Tram is essential to seeing the open savannahs with Giraffes, Rhinos, Gazelle, Antelope, Water Buffalo, Zebras and such. Download the app for easy access to more info on the go. Paper maps are also available as you enter.

It's an amazing full day's adventure. Parking is on a hill, so drive to the top and start your search for a spot there. It's more than a safari ride, there are many exhibits and themed areas. No matter what you do, be sure to take that safari tour. The guides are well versed and are quick to point out the sights. Wild antelope, giraffes, cheetahs 🐆, and more. There are gift shops, of course, and a few different food choices throughout. You can save money by bringing your own food, saving money for the gift shops! Enjoy your day, and be prepared to walk into a great adventure.

" Fun, but very limited access unless you are super rich" * I do not believe there is a need to visit both the San Diego zoo and the Safari, just pick one, they are almost identical now, but you will get more up close experiences at the zoo and less of hill walking then you will have to endure at the Safari. The San Diego Zoo Safari Park has undergone significant transformations since my childhood visits, evolving into a sprawling haven for diverse animal enclosures through considerable investments. This expansion brings a delightful array of wildlife closer to visitors, yet it blurs the lines between the Safari Park and its sister, the San Diego Zoo, making one ponder the necessity of visiting both. While the park has modernized, introducing upgraded facilities and expanding its footprint, this growth comes with a caveat. Many of the park's premier experiences now carry additional fees beyond the entry ticket. For instance, while the Africa Safari is included with admission, the Asian Safari demands an extra charge. Moreover, ongoing construction dampens the overall experience, notably in the kangaroo area, where restrictions limit interaction, a stark contrast to more immersive encounters available abroad. The tiger enclosure, complete with a waterfall, stands out as a highlight, showcasing the park's commitment to creating enriching habitats for its residents. However, the park's mountainous terrain poses a challenge, turning a day's visit into an exhaustive endeavor. Visitors should strategize their route to minimize fatigue and aim for early arrival to secure closer parking and avoid a strenuous trek to the entrance. The staff and volunteers exude warmth and friendliness, enhancing the visit. Yet, the steep additional costs for exclusive attractions underscore a shift towards exclusivity, with prices ranging from $100 to $500 extra per person, per experience. This pricing strategy may alienate the average visitor, steering the park's appeal towards a wealthier demographic. In summary, the San Diego Zoo Safari Park offers a rich tapestry of animal encounters and natural beauty, marred slightly by its steep hills and high costs for exclusive experiences. While it remains a remarkable destination for wildlife enthusiasts, visitors should be prepared for the physical and financial demands of exploring this expansive, evolving park.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! They are a non-for profit so everything you spend from the tickets, food and souvenirs helps the animals. They did a great job with the park set up, tons of land for the animals. It is beautiful and the staff really cares about the animals. Great way to see animals and not feel guilty doing it. While they are in captivity, they have adequate space. On the tram ride the driver said they have had the highest success rate of any park with endangered animals reproducing. They talked about the white rhino being down to 2 females and they have scientists working to "Jurassic Park" it and create a male white rhino. The goal is for 1 of the 2 females to carry the male rhino, if successful. Now that is cool! We met a senior couple there and they said during the week seniors were free. Not sure if this is all the time or just during the month of Feb (2022) or just a special promotion. This is a great place to go for all ages!

Well worth the time and money. I felt it was better than going to zoo. Animal’s definitely had more space to roam around and very well maintained. There are lot of endangered species they take care of and help breed some of those in a very sustainable way. When we went there the animals were very active and I am guessing because it was not too hot. Try to do the Africa tram in the morning because most of animals will be moving around vs sitting in shade during afternoon. Line was not crazy to get the tram. They have 3-4 trams which rotate around so it doesn’t take time. We didn’t do any other reserved safaris. If you want to get super close to animals then you can try those. We walked around 6-7 miles as per our fitness watch. I guess you will walk around that much if you want to cover everything. Most of the volunteers are knowledgeable and friendly to talk to.

Our absolute favorite place to visit. Doesn’t feel as crowded as San Diego Zoo since it’s much bigger. Many animals to see and explore. Great trails for walks with amazing views. If you are local, membership purchase is definitely worth it. Plus, with every visit you are helping animals! Have fun!

If you don't mind a lot of walking, this is an amazing place to visit. Such a great variety of animals and habitats. It was quite warm the day we went, mid 80's. But plenty of shade to be found. Loved the Kangaroo walk about. Kangaroos right in front of you, with no fence between! Also loved the peaceful Bonsai garden.

Safari Park pre-pandemic: 5 stars. Safari Park 2023: 3.5 stars. To be clear, it’s still an awesome experience for any animal lover, but if you’re picking between going to the SD Zoo or the Safari Park, I’d recommend the zoo. More animals and more bang for your buck at the zoo—to really experience the highlights of the Safari Park you have to pay up for one of the safari tours. The cost of admission is $70 alone and adding a safari will cost another $60-150+. While safaris are optional, it’s really the only good way to get close to some of the animals (giraffes, rhinos, etc.) given the enormity of the space. Animals have so much acreage to roam, which is wonderful, but it does mean they may not be in viewing distance from the sidewalk. If you take a safari, the guides will drive you out directly to where the animals are. Pre-pandemic, the safaris offered incredible experiences like feeding giraffes and rhinos, and petting rhinos on their horns. It made the experience worth every penny, however, you no longer get to feed or touch any of the animals. I read that these experiences are no longer offered because while the park was closed during the pandemic the animals got used to not being fed/touched by tourists, so when they reopened the park they did not resume these activities. Not sure if that’s the reason, but either way, it’s a shame because at least for me, the contact with the animals was the best part. It was disappointing not to have that opportunity. The safari was still cool, and our guide Kelly was incredibly knowledgeable. It just quickly turns into a very expensive day. For two admissions tickets and two safari tickets, we spent $400. We could have easily spent a lot more had we wanted to ride the carousel, take the balloon ride, etc. The San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance is a wonderful cause, so to me it was also worth it to support their efforts, but would just advise others go into it aware of the costs.
Whitney Proffitt — Google review
The safari park was a lot of fun to visit. The exhibits for the animals are spacious and nice. There are a large variety of animals from different locations and ecosystems to see. Tickets are expensive and if you want to do any of the safaris past the basic tram that doesn’t get you very close you have to pay some steep additional prices. But the park itself is very nice and worth a visit. We enjoyed our day there.

My 1st time to California and I'm not disappointed! The Safari is pretty cool, and the animals have a lot of area to be free. I would say there is a lot of walking for sure, ups and downs inclines that are pretty formidable. If you are staying at a resort I would do the 90 min sales pitch to get the free tickets if you can or if the resort offers that. @65-71 per ticket plus 20 to park or 38 for up front Parking ,it would be well worth it.
lupe santos — Google review
What an awesome experience. Parking is $20 and a little trek but worth it. Be prepared to be a part of the action. Walking through the park seeing everything up close and personal. The Safari trips are worth the extra cost. The guides are knowledgeable and you'll see the animals as if you were in the Serengeti itself. Greatest advice: buy the 2 or 3 day pass. It will take you that long to fully get it while enjoying everything there is to take in. You will not regret it.

Very nice place to visit, especially for families and children to see and learn about the different animals. I went on a weekend and it was packed with people & it was the peak of summer so a very hot day too. I say go on a day when it's cool and nice since it involves a lot of walking. Bring plenty of water to drink or buy 1 of their souvenir cups that you can refill all day with water or any drink (if I remember correctly), for free at any drink station around the park. Also, when it comes to ticket and parking prices, I feel like they were on the pricy side for a zoo/safari park, but hey, it's California. I had a 1 day pass ticket and it was around $74 per adult and $64 per child (ages 3- 11) at regular price. If you purchase your ticket online before you visit, then you can save a dollar or two. Overall, I liked visiting here and would go again.

Second time coming here with family. Came on a hazy Sunday that was a bit cold but it didn’t dampen our experience here at the SD safari park. Lots of good options and gift shops right upon entrance. Plenty of staff if you have any questions. I got a latte at the coffee stand they have in the beginning, decent and quick service. The exhibits are great ranging from the nocturnal duck billed platypus, young kangaroos, lions, jungle bats, wild cats, tons of birds and a huge African animal enclosure. The team ride around said enclosure is always great with lots of tips about the species they have on display. First time we came and we did the big zip line experience. Totally worth it. The views of the park from up there are incredible.

Absolutely beautiful. An amazing park with so many passionate intelligent employees. I was so excited to tour the park. The food is bad. Only complaint. Pizza was bad, pretzels were stale, churro s were stale. Bird show was awesome! And the safari ride around "Africa" was amazing! Can't wait to return!

Can to the Safari Park to enjoy the animals in a bigger habitat. There is a lot to see and do. Just make sure you bring plenty of $$ and good walking shoes. I went on the Africa tour which was about an hour long. Ir was so cool driving into there habitat and seeing them up close. It did cost some money but worth it since it goes into helping the animals. There was a hot air balloon and zip line as well. Great for the kids as you get to get a better understanding of the animals with the friendly and knowledgeable staff everywhere you look. Enjoy the pictures and videos

Had a great field trip with our school. There are so many wonderful animals to visit. Park is clean, and so are the restrooms. Most employees are friendly and welcoming. The food area is equipped with a variety of quick snacks. We enjoyed our day at the Safari park. There is a small playground area with plenty of shade that became our spot for about 20 minutes. Kids had a blast.

Beyond the Scenes African Safari tour is extra and needs a reservation. A guided tour beyond the scene with the most informative guide driven around and beyond in a passenger cart for 90 minutes. These tours are the best way to navigate throughout the park. We had a private bird show too. My family made the comment we learned so much more about wildlife than if we were just on our own through the park. I highly suggest it. Our guide was excellent and very knowledgeable.

The best time to see them is when they’re called out for snacks 😁.. So be there on time and prepare your phones/cameras for their amazing interactions. And buy tickets ahead. Also, you can get good price if you get a combo/package of “San Diego Zoo” and “San Diego Zoo Safari”. Yes those 2places are different from each other so please don’t get confused 😊… In this videos, you can find these gorillas at San Diego Zoo Safari.. my suggestion was, be ready for a long hiking 🥾 😁. You can bring your own snacks too but please don’t feed the animals nor leave your garbage everywhere. So bare in mind to be packed all the time.

San Diego Zoo Safari Park - an amazing experience and one the whole family will love. Parking Fee is $20 on our visit or $48 for proffered parking. We parked in section 4 and waddled over to the entrance. Entrance You chose the location and then you get provided with all the options available. We did the AFRICA TRAM You walk past the main enclosures and a short stair trip or elevator ride towards the tram car and off you go on a 30 minute ride. We loved the Rhinos and the Giraffes good to see them in such a grand setting and they look at home, if that sounds right…. The commentary on what is seen on the journey is 1st class. Informative and Allows information not known on these majestic animals. Thank you for allowing such an experience. After we took our tram ride. We followed it up with a visit to the Lions Gorillas Elephants The highlight for me was Mary and Peggy the San Diego Zoo - Safari Park Volunteers. The stories they told us and the information on the residents was so detailed and you could feel the genuine enthusiasm for the role they play. Overall we had an amazing day and one I wish we had done sooner. Thank you. For having us.

Great place, but it's a confusing layout, in my opinion. We couldn't figure out how to leave when the park closed. We ate at a restaurant that overlooked the fields. It was amazing to see giraffes and other animals running by while you're eating! We ordered tuna sandwiches, a beef and cheese sandwich, and mac and cheese. All the food was delicious too, so that was a double win! I LOVED the safari experience that we paid extra for! Hands down, my favorite part of the entire day. The guide was AMAZING and so funny! Will visit again when in California!

Great day at the park. The birds seemed to be in a particular mood to show off, but we also enjoyed our encounters with the gorillas, the kangaroos, the tigers, and an excited platypus. The enclosure designs give some space to the animals while letting the park visitors get a good look at everybody, and the walking paths and botanical variety are enchanting on their own. We did not go on any of the special attractions aside from the African Tram, but there are a few fun things to do that we did not try. Food options were pretty good but nothing particularly fancy or special. All of the Safari park staff were friendly and helpful. We spent about six hours there, saw most but not all of the exhibits, walked a little more than five miles, and had a great time as a family. We didn't have any kids with us, but the other young visitors seemed to be enjoying themselves quite a bit. Great experience!

This place was wonderful. I like the way there's so much room and they've incorporated a lot of different countries. We got to see the platimas which they're the only two outside of Australia. We went for senior day where if you're 65 or older you don't have to pay it mission. I would definitely go on this safari tour. The bus driver was very knowledgeable.

I visited both the zoo and safari park in 2 days. Loved both, but enjoyed the safari park a bit more. Lots of animals to see. The staff and volunteers are very knowledgeable. I also opted for the zip line - what an amazing experience!! And we saw a platypus!!!

Such an amazing place to spend the day. A huge variety of amazing animals. The show at 2pm was very fun and entertaining. The free trolley was a very cool up close experience with the animals. Will absolutely be visiting here again 😄

We have been visiting this park for years, and it never gets old. We have an annual pass to support this amazing park and unfortunately, we can only visit once a year since we are busy. It is not a zoo where animals are in small, caged areas. There is a Safari Tram that takes you around a large safari tour with a live guide who talks about animals, their conservation and efforts to protect endangered species, etc. The Park is huge and includes botanical garden & bonsai exhibits. We like walking around. The best time to visit is during the holidays and stay after dark to see the beautiful sunset and enjoy the “Wild Holiday” events/lights. We arrived early afternoon and it wasn’t too bad parking & entering the park. The animals including the tigers, gorillas, and platypuses were active.
Catherine Hunt — Google review
This safari park is very nice. Love seeing the open spaces for the animals as opposed to small living quarters. This park is clean and spacious. We purchased tickets online and walked right in. Love riding the tram and seeing the rhinos and giraffes.
Hang Nguyen — Google review
It had been over 10 years since we had been to what used to be known as Wild Animal Park. There were a lot of changes. No longer were we allowed to handfeed the giraffe and rhino (See old photos). The natural areas were still there, and large animals (giraffes, rhinos, antelopes) roamed freely. It's a lot of walking, and fairly hilly, so we recommend riding the free tram to get an overview of parts of the park. We loved the variety, even seeing California Condors!! It's a pricey day, but a special treat.

This sculpture garden is a unique and beautiful place to visit. It features large-scale mosaics made by Niki de Saint Phalle, and the surrounding landscape is lovely. The museum is especially beautiful at night when the sculptures are lit up.
This place is a real treat. We were really surprised how much we enjoyed it. The detail in the sculptures is amazing. Parking was a breeze, and it’s a short walk - about 150 yards - to the circle.

Amusing mosaic sculpture garden located within Kit Carson Park. I've been to this park many times and never been in until now, it's just that tough to get there when it's open unless you're retired or took the day off. Make sure you check the schedule beforehand. Other than that it's pretty great! One of a kind and very special!

Loved! So breathtaking and amazing! Learned from Marty, the docent, that it took the last 3 years of the artist’s life and 1 more year for her team to finish it after her passing. Phalle was so intent on having this sculpture garden done, she offered it for free as long as Escondido gave her the land to build on it. Spectacular. Local gem! Absolutely love that this beautiful art is free and in our northern SD county backyard! Grateful and blessed! Can’t wait to see Phalle’s gigantic version in Tuscany!

This one of 3 of these sculpture gardens- however, it is the only one in the US! It starts out with a fun little black and white maze in the entrance before opening to a courtyard full of dazzling sculptures! The walk from the parking lot to the entrance is about a 3 minute walk on a dirt trail! There is also a lake within walking distance. Make sure to check that it is open before you go as it is only open certain days and times!

Small and it is magical, very interesting sculpture garden. It is absolutely a fun place to visit, and the sculptures really are magical and fun. This is meant to be viewing, not playing, so if you have kiddos interested in unique art, its a fun place to explore. It woyld make a fun beetlejuice themed photoshoot arena, and I would highly recommend the area for a shoot with respect to the grounds. The only reason for my low rating is honestly the funky inconvenient hours. I would say how small the place is, but the sculptures are huge foe the area they've been placed in. I know its only opened on a volunteer basis, and I commend anyone willing to sit in the heat and rain. I just wish it were a touch more convenient in hours. If you have time, stop by. Its a beautiful little gem in the midst of a huge park.

Was actually quite disappointed on this spot. Art was beautiful, don't get me wrong, but wow, I drove a long way to see this, and it was small. There are not many sculptures. It's best to leave it as a spot to check out only when coming to San Diego.

We've been to the center for the Arts so many times I cannot tell you. But most recently, we went on a behind the scenes field trip with our son's school to view the back end of how the plays are set up. The staff is wonderful the venue is beautiful.

We treated ourselves to orchestra seats for the Nutcracker ballet. The gracefully athletic ballet dancing choreographed to the classic Nutcracker music performed by the SF Ballet Orchestra was a MAGICAL experience! A Christmas tradition for us. The cost of orchestra tickets was not too much more than balcony seats and worth it-- better view and sound. Allow yourself enough time to park and get seated as the ticket booth and usher services were slow. Highly recommend.

Good place, things aren't organized but staff sitting out were able to help in finding directions. Wonderful venue and nice staff. They host great musicals, and the sound quality is top-notch. The front balcony seats are a little too close to the balcony wall for people with bad knees, but the other seats are wonderful. I will be coming again.

This place was wonderful. I went to see Sunday in the park with George which was exceptional. The staff was polite and patient. We definitely went over the time. The theatre was small and intimate but beautiful. The only thing was the seats weren't very comfortable. I found myself keep adjusting almost an hour in, so my bottom wouldn't hurt.

This is a beautiful performance venue, with incredible views - not a bad seat in the house. Styled after an olde theatre design, the stalls on the floor are adorned with several levels of balconies stacked above, with the balcony seats not far from the stage. The ushers are some of the most polite and helpful I have experienced at any venue. They will direct you in the proper direction without being too pushy. Just simply kind should. The sound system is loud, but was not overbearing. Good for matching the cheers, but not too loud to prevent communication with those next to you. Parking was a bit awkward, at least to me, as I was not familiar with the area. An amazing venue.

Beautiful venue. Exquisite concert hall. The venue itself is like another voice in the choir, or instrument in the orchestra! Add the 1000+ hearts of listeners in the audience and the result is heavenly.

I was shocked to find this large in this elegant huge entertainment facility in Escondido I didn't know the city house such a magnificent humongous Arts Complex that was just fantastic in every way. We went here to see The Nutcracker it was my first visit here and it was just fabulous. I loved every part of it I love the architecture the little nooks and crannies where you can grab a hot cocoa the little nooks and crannies where they would have red carpets and decorations Galore. It was really wonderful to come here. We took some great photos of the orchestra pit and different areas at this event but the app is not allowing me to get to my phone deep enough to pull those pictures so I'm sorry I can't put pictures of what we saw maybe I'll figure it out later but this was just a magnificent theater with several levels of seating and balconies just gorgeous..

Accessibility: there are many accessible/handicap parking spots in the parking lot as well as multiple ramps to get onto the sidewalk that leads to the museum, theaters, ticket office and conference area. When heading toward these buildings from the parking lot the pathway is lit with string lights and street lights in the parking lot. You might come to an option that says the left hallway is for the museum and right hallway for the theaters, ticket office, conference center...only the right side has a ramp so you might need to take that and go a little further until the sidewalk wraps around to the museum side. It's not much farther. If you come from the other side of all these buildings because you parked somewhere else, it is more flat ground and ramps. The museum has a pull door and inside it is very well lit with tons of open space. There are restrooms open in the museum and they have one larger stall for those who need it. Experience: I really loved this museum. It's beautiful inside, very spacious, not too hot or cold, and the tickets are not too expensive compared to some museums. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the art is very well taken care of. I will definitely come back. Outside the museum there is Grape Day Park which is absolutely beautiful, free, and has many benches and trees with shade.

Kit Carson Park is a great place to visit with friends and family, boasting stunning views of the city and several hiking trails. The park also has a 5-acre arboretum and several sports fields, making it the perfect spot for a day out.
A lovely, spacious park. I take my children often to see all the great wildlife. There are great sculptures and lots of places for a nice picnic.

Nice, very large park with baseball, softball, tennis, disc golf, playgrounds, picnic facilities, and pond. Really offers a lot to do. The walk around park via the loop trail is pretty and can be done in under an hour. My pics were looking at critters & plants. The fields and park was in great shape on my visit.

Accessibility: this park is accessible for wheelchairs and others as there is disabled parking, paved parking lots and sidewalks. The benches to sit on/near are in the grass however. This park is big in size but it is more spread out than a lot of other parks in Escondido/North County. It has a tennis court, skate park(you have to pay for a membership to use), a pond, Queen Califia's Magical Garden, Frisbee golf, and lots of grass fields for sports events. Open to the public there are two small playgrounds, bathrooms in small buildings, benches here-and-there in the grass, and lots of trees with tons of shade. There is a creek going through the park but it is dried up. This is a beautiful place to take photos. Safety: I would consider this an okay, safe area, but only during the day and in the most open places. On smaller, more hidden areas such as walking to Queen Califia's Magical Garden, it is very hidden so I recommend going with other people and only going during the day. Even during day hours I have come across groups of people lingering on those hidden trails so please watch your surroundings always. There are park rangers working that check the grounds but they cannot be everywhere at all times. Proximity: this park is right next to the mall so if you are able to walk, you can go from this park to the mall.

Local disc golf course with wildlife spectators. Competition level and fun to play. Well manicured, but watch out for the squirrels. They've been rumored to run off with a disc on occasion.

Park is nice and huge with nice shades trail. There is discs park as well which is fun. Only that some targets are closer to creek and discs getting into water isn’t fun. If you go on Tuesday and Thursday you can enter into Queen Califa’s Magical Park which is amazing.

Nice hiking trails. Convenient parking in the shade under solar panels in the lot. There's a good size pond with ducks and turtles. Close to North County Mall.

Came here is my husband and son for a walk in the evening before sunset. It was busy in a good way. I like to see people out and about outside in the fresh air. Lots of disc golfers and dogs. The smell though is hard to miss. I can’t pin point what it is but almost like sewage. Maybe it was the duck ponds but it was everywhere
Mandy Ungersma — Google review
Kit Carson is a very nice and well kept disc golf course. It's also a public park. And on some days those two things don't match. I would advise not to try and play disc golf here on Sundays. Or at least go early in the morning, because the park gets so crowded with families it's almost impossible to even throw your disk at certain holes. We had to skip a section of three holes just cuz there was so many people. And that's not a problem, I'm not complaining, just make sure you go early so you can avoid this. The park has multiple terrains, grass/tree and dirt/brush. Lots of challenging holes at least 1 hole at 500+ft with lots of open space. Love this park, just dislike having to share it with the rest of the public. There's also a small pro shop here with a great selection of disc's for purchase.
Greg Tokics — Google review
Absolutely astonishing complex. Execellent greenary everywhere. Traffic is intense at times but when you have 100 team mega tournaments, it flows better than most places. An array of benches, table benches, toys, barbecues, and water features to boot. Shade almost everywhere. And most importantly, wheelchair access to all fields, bathrooms, and any area worthy of people.
Manuel Ojeda — Google review
Didn't stay too long here. Just stopped by to get some rest. Kids loved walking down to the creek. It's a big park and everything is far away from each other. Would have been nice to walk it all because looks like there's a lot to do here but be prepared to walk.

Great park with all sorts of exercise and recreation options. Kept pretty clean, even the restrooms are decent, as far as public restrooms go. Lots of people walking their dogs, and there are lots of stations with baggies, so you can pick up after them. Several miles of walking/running paths, some cement, some dirt, some gravel. All pretty well maintained. Some of the dirt paths do get rutted from the rain, so you need to watch your step in certain spots. Overall, a great feature of Escondido!

Dixon Lake is a beautiful man-made lake in Escondido that offers locals plenty of opportunities for relaxation and exercise. There are many options for enjoying the area, such as fishing, hiking, boating, or camping. The scenery at Dixon Lake is gorgeous, and it can be hard to leave when you're there.
The lakeshore and picnic area environment are clean, and there also is a playground which is nice and suitable for kids. The other side of city view in campground are nice, and the red sunset glow is so pretty. We had a great Halloween time and hotpot dinner on the hilltop site.

Dixon Lake is my absolute favorite place in all of San Diego County! The nature is beautiful, the grounds are pristine, the views are stunning, the sites are huge and everytime I go back it's like I'm at home. The staff is so welcoming that I never want to leave. My absolute favorite is Tiffany. I've never seen a person care so much about the job that they do. She takes the task of being there for every single guest personally. I can't wait to go back!

Barbecue here isn’t too bad. I ordered a tri-tip sandwich to go with potato salad as the side. Everything tasted pretty good. I wasn’t blown away but if you’re looking for a barbecue spot that’s not gonna cost you an arm and a leg Mike’s has you covered. Friendly staff several huge TVs inside good for anyone would like to have some barbecue in and watch a game.

I can't believe I have lived here my whole life and never been to this awesome establishment. The atmosphere was great, with good ambiance and a fun, chill vibe. The service was fantastic. The food was phenomenal. The baby back ribs were so tender the meat falls off the bone. Even the drinks were well made. If you like sports, you will love the giant screens all around, and if you don't like sports, they won't annoy you. UPDATE: I went back and tried the Fried Catfish. I have never had better catfish in my life. The coating on the fish was perfect. The fish was perfectly cooked. The hushpuppies were to die for. So good.

First time eating here, awesome view of the multiple tv's. My wife suggested coming here and I'm glad she did. The service was top notch , she was busy but made sure we were taken care of. I appreciate the attention and not over crowded every other second. The ribs were tender and moist. The meat comes off the bone clean. The Mac and cheese was so cheesie. The fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy. I also had the brisket which melted in my mouth. To top all off I had the peach cobbler which was pippin 🔥. It was what I was use to. It had a oatmeal top crust. Not my favorite but that could be because it wasn't traditional. Other than that I will definitely come back. If your in the area give them a try. Two thumbs up. 👍 👍

Tried this place on a recommendation and was sorely disappointed. We ordered the brisket with a side of cornbread and baby pack ribs with coleslaw and fries. Sad to say the brisket had little flavor and had the consistency of boiled meat. The ribs were also flavorless but the sauce made up for it a little. The sides were the best part and would only recommend the cornbread. Great local beer selection but the hard alcohol drinks are not recommended. Good atmosphere with plenty of televisions, Padres bar so probably wasn’t a good thing that I wore an opposing teams shirt. The service was lacking as they only checked on us once and took a while to get the bill.
Christian Moran — Google review
I drove by this BBQ place a couple of times and finally stopped and I am glad I did! Prices are fair considering how much food cost in general not to mention the time and labor it takes to make good BBQ. I grabbed the brisket plate with Mac and Cheese and pinto beans. Brisket was really good however I should of asked for the BBQ sauce on the side because my brisket was swimming in BBQ sauce. However it was really really good and the Mac and cheese was amazing. Will detail come back.

This place has the best smoked food that I've ever had. The food and service here does not disappoint. Fast friendly local business with food that is not to be missed. The brisket plate is my favorite and the garlic bread is awesome. You can order ahead via toast, or dine in. There is more here than I can mention. Do yourself a favor at check them out whenever you are in the mood for smoked meat. You will not be disappointed.

Great variety on food and beverage selection. Really good atmosphere and energetic friendly staff. Sara was very attentive as a host and Nikhol was super as our waitress. I could not make up my mind, not being too hungry I had a slider with each 4 legged meat. Suggest for those palates with a spicy yearning, all for the el diablo sauce. Minus one star for the anesthetic ambience in the "waiting" lobby and a few of the big screens not working. Other BBQ establishments I've visited had warm disposable towelettes to clean hands (Texas native here) - that would just be an extra suggestion. All in all, would look forward to another visit in the near future!

Great BBQ we didn't expect to find. Brisket was "out" when I ordered but without me asking the server said that can't be right and went to check. She said it would be ready in 15 minutes. And it was. And it was delicious and moist! The small sides are huge and my wife loved her loaded nacho fries and street corn. Mac n cheese was a bit over cooked and a little bland but guess what, I are it! Definitely a pin in this place to come back on our next trip.

Great selection of local craft beer and delicious bbq food. I had 1 beef rib, baked potato, & Texas toast that was delicious and satisfying portions. Friendly service and huge screens to watch sports.

Great BBQ and the atmosphere was a blast. Huge screen for sports. While I was there they had a trivia night which was super cool seeing everyone have a lot of fun with it. The brisket was perfect and the Mac and cheese was so good. Great spot for an all around dinner experience.
Andrew Lowrey — Google review
This is a good sports bar, with an array of very large projection televisions up high, easy to see for everyone. The beer selection is good, wine selection is good, servers are excellent. In terms of a barbecue joint, it's mediocre. The meats can be dry, and are drenched in sweet sauces (Even the spicy sauce is quite sweet), perhaps necessary to deal with the dryness. The house pinto beans are spectacular and excellent, the potato salad is good, the coleslaw is flat and plain. It's made with fresh ingredients but needs seasoning.
Erik Basil — Google review
Tried this place last week, disappointed they were out of brisket so early in the day☹️. But the ribs and chicken were both really good and the serving of all the sides were plenty😋. Clean place loved all the big screen tv’s👍🏼
Cissy Mendoza — Google review
For good bbq stop by Mikes is Escondido. The pork ribs fell right off the bone. Sauce is tangy and sweet and pairs perfectly with the ribs. Coleslaw was cold and crispy just like I like it. The fries were hot, but the Texas toast was a bit dry but I ate it anyways while dipping it in the bbq sauce. Service was a bit slow but when the food came out, it made up for it. Stop by and enjoy a beer, a meal and one of the many sporting events on their large screens.
Alex — Google review
Tonight I had the salmon pink and it was cooked very well with cajun spice. Came with Texas toast. I ended up getting the dinner salad as my large side instead of two small sides. So dinner was very good. It looked good when it came out. The salad was very large however here's where my little rub is. They give you this large lovely looking salad and a little cup of dressing. Then they want an additional seventy five cents if you want another little cup of dressing. Then I was wondering if the people that don't get dressing if they get a seventy five cent credit? Perhaps they should make the salad in a smaller side rather than in the large side so that way the dressing fits the salad. I chased all that good food down with a good Avery Rascal. Just wish I had remembered to take pictures before I started eating.

True Cali style and seriously good food. People are nice. Proportions are generous. Maybe 15% above Denny's, but WAY more food and really made better. Good local people. Breakfast menu always up. My wife and I had a really great time here!

We really enjoy going here and have been several times. Fun restaurant with good atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Plenty of options for food. The specialty is omelettes which are good but could use a bit more seasonings. The biscuits and gravy was very good. The biscuits are nothing special but the gravy is fantastic. Also had the chicken fried steak which was delicious. The cinnamon roll is a great deal, it was gigantic! The roll was light and fluffy and the frosting was great.

Excellent service. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, seated with a full house immediately. Our drink ordered taken, which set the tone for the rest of the service. Although, they were extremely busy, our order was taken in a reasonable amount of time and our order came so quickly. The food was delicious. I had the French Toast with a side of bacon (so crispy yum) and my husband had an omelette that he enjoyed. The cook came out from the kitchen to say hi! Excellent! We will be back.

99 omelets on the wall, you take one down and pass it around 98 omelets left on the menu for all. What extraordinary experience dinning at dying breed Mom & Pop establishment. No chain dinner has anything close on this place. True home style feel, chefs infuse quality ingredients in harmony, and assemble omelets fit for a King & Queen. Only 98 omelets left to sample. Kudos to staff and cooks of this stellar restaurant!

Staff are SO welcoming and friendly !! Cute, cozy place. Extensive menu. Food wasn't cooked to order, but we didn't say anything because everyone is just so nice !! Standard breakfast is kinda pricier than a chain and they do charge for a small container of 'salsa' (finely chopped tomatoes and a few onions, no peppers), but I liked it. Portions may be larger than a chain. I will try the chicken fried steak next visit.

Everything was amazing! We went on a Wednesday morning with some hungry toddlers and a group of 8 of us. There was only one server for the whole restaurant which ended up being a little busier than expected for a weekday morning. That did not hinder our server from still providing excellent service. The food was so good! I had an avocado omelette and finished about 3/4 because it was huge. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their breakfast as well.

I'm not usually nearby but was searching for a great breakfast spot. Great name many positive reviews and I was hungry. Looked nice and old fashioned inside. So long wait to get seated (I was 2nd in line and many open tables) long wait for order and when food arrived it looked less than restaurant quality (see photo). Scrambled eggs with cheese, hash browns, sausage and toast. Eggs must have been large batch pre made and were solid not fluffy. Cheese was a couple slices of craft thrown on top under food lights as it was partially melted and eggs under it weren't hot. Hash browns were partly cooked and cold. Toast was cold and butter less and when I caught waitress for butter I finally got it when I was on my last bite. I did get the check before food so I left payment with tip as wait staff works hard. $20 for this, no drink. McDonald's beats this. Won't be back

Decided to try this place even though is out of my way. The hostess was really friendly, acknowledged us as soon as we arrived. There were only two families, waitress just passed by our table, we waited until finally the hostess came by and took our beverage order. Breakfast was pretty good, omelette was a pretty good size serving., also pancakes. At the end we waited for the waitress to bring us the check for about ten minutes after we were done, I finally went to the area where she was talking to the other waitress and requested it. We waited again for her to take my payment and just brought it up to her again! Terrible service, waitress was the worse!!

Elegant and relaxing atmosphere in bar and in dining area. Modern cocktail lounge music in bar and lounge area. Each course exquisitely prepared and flavorful. No salt or pepper needed for enhancement. Kitchen staff flexible with certain items to accommodate cholesterol dietary restrictions. Restaurant adds a 4% surcharge for minimum wage on receipt with statement it is not paid to staff. Not sure about the true purpose of surcharge if it doesn't go to staff. Bellamy Restaurant exudes a quaint atmosphere, creating a charming setting for an evening out for our 6 years anniversary. The food served was generally flavorful and thoughtfully crafted. The pork belly appetizer, with its robust blend of vinegar, sweetness, and saltiness, offered a tantalizing start to the meal. The crispy sea bass accompanied by cauliflower risotto was a standout, balancing creaminess and flavors that harmonized exquisitely. The pork loin, tender and well-prepared, was complemented beautifully by the mashed potatoes, enhancing the overall dining experience. However, the pumpkin crème brulee fell short of expectations, lacking the appeal one might anticipate in a dessert. Service, on the whole, was good, with attentive staff. However, the notable drawback was a prolonged wait of an hour for the food. The seats were not comfortable for that long of a wait and our back started to hurt. The server communicated the kitchen's shortage of staff, which, though understandable, impacted the overall dining experience especially for the occasion. We had other events planned for the night, but the wait kind of threw a wrench in our night. For the price we feel there should have been more that should have been done for the wait.

I came upon Bellamy's when searching for a nice place for dinner in Escondido. They have a nice back patio which was perfect. I really liked the albacore crudo and the French onion soup. For my main course I had the salmon over risotto. The salmon was great but I'd skip the risotto next time. Service was very attentive.

That place is delicious! We’ve come here many times, highly recommend for a date night or girls night out. The blue cheese martinis are perfect. Prime rib is great (served Mondays only I believe). Oysters here never disappoint. And 1/2 off bottles of wine on Wednesday. 7 of the 8 times I’ve been here there’s been amazing staff! This last visit was comical how bad our server was, but we’ve also been in the industry so we know how hard getting staff post covid is.. EVEN with the last experience, still a 5 star spot!

What a nice find, in the village of Escondido. Good food, great service at the outside bar and what looks like lots of happy people inside the main dining room. We were there for a musical event put on by Six-String Society in the rear patio. Live music, nice tables, great servers, great drinks and a great atmosphere. In regard to parking, there is a small lot and alley behind Bellamy's, and then for the rest of it you are on the street. On a Thursday evening, this was not difficult. The beer list is respectable, although it could be a few taps deeper, wine list is excellent.

This was our first experience at Bellamys it exceeded our expectations. Melanie our waitress was very kind and attentive. We started out with their roasted Brussels sprouts which were absolutely delicious. The French onion soup was definitely over salted, but broth flavor was spot on. My girlfriend ordered the crispy skin seabass with califlower risoto, cooked to perfection. I ordered the brown butter fettuccine which was my comfy food. The atmosphere was very warm in the main dining room. Will definitely be dining with them again.

This is a very intimate spot so i hope u don't mind being elbows distance away from others. Went here for a special event and was deeply disappointed. Food was small, lack luster, and un seasoned. Seating was uncomfortable and for the price it's just not worth it. On the plus side there was live music plenty of wine choices plus a rum style daiquiri but that's about the only good thing I can say was good here.

Really excellent dinner option for visitors returning from the Safari Park. Seafood soup was a winner with scallops, salmon, clams, mussels and halibut. Lamb was fantastic. Bread was great. The kitchen was fine with adjustments, combining different parts of the menu. Butter cake was a phenomenal dessert to end the meal. Service overall was very good.

A vibrant and lively French restaurant with captivating wall art serves authentic dishes, ranging from delectable pastries to classic onion soup. Originally planning to go to Jilbertos Mexican next door due to a coworker's choice, the sight of Paradiso Mediterranean Grill caught attention and enticed exploration. The eatery did not disappoint, as the manager behind the counter donned a smile that exemplified their dedication to exceptional customer service.
We had lunch here with friends. One can walk up to the counter and order things TO GO, but if you want to sit down and eat, you need to find a clean sanitized table which are clearly marked. This restaurant is very COVID SAFE! You scan the QR code to find the menu. You select what you want to order, including drinks and you pay with your credit card from your phone. The staff will be alerted of your order and will bring everything to your table. Tax and Tip are included in your bill, so you don't have to sort that out. My nicoise salad was jammed packed in a bowl! I loved it, however, it was difficult to eat. My husband ordered a grilled chicken and basil sandwich with fries which was good. My other friends ordered a half of sandwich with French Onion Soup. Their sandwiches were on French bread, served warm! They loved their sandwiches. I will definitely return here again. The staff were all friendly with smiles!

Excellent food. Weird order process. The menu does not include pastries so must be ordered separately. I ordered and the lady tells me I need a table number. I panic because there is a huge line behind me. I grab a table big enough to feed the Turkish army. I get my pastry and coffee but my eggs later. I don't get silverware. :( The coffee is very good. :)

Delicious pastries made on site. Large portions of delectable breakfast dishes. We arrived on a rainy day and inside was busy. The staff was very pleasant and helpful getting us seated and bringing our food. There is outdoor seating on the terrace which would be a lovely spot on a sunny day. Highly recommended!

Went there for lunch and had the berry filled crepes and breakfast potatoes. OMG! They were AMAZING!!! You can order things to go from the counter or sit down at a table and order everything from your phone and it’s brought out to you. So convenient. We will definitely be back.

Great breakfast. I had the Delightful Combo. A lot of food and very tasty. Herbed scrambled eggs were great as well as wonderful brioche French toast. Great service as well. Worth a stop.

We are in croissant heaven here… What a wonderful atmosphere and positive community vibe. Ordered the breakfast sandwich with bacon on a croissant with a side of breakfast potatoes and it was out of this world. Wonderful service and apparently the place has been around a long time. Indoor and outdoor seating, with an adorable little patio nook. The coffee is outstanding, and I am a true lover of the Boen… It’s so good we’ve come back three days in a row! Will definitely repeat. #Breakfast #Croissant #Bacon #Latte #Nikkiffrancis #Dineopolous

Absolutely amazing food and service! The very best omelette I have ever had, and all of the breads and pastries are made in house. Thank you Isabell, Andrew, Nathan, Marianna, Grace, Megan, Raina,Alberta and Aquilina for such a pleasurable dining experience! Jesus peace

It was one of my favorite breakfast & lunch spots. Beautiful inside. The food is fresh and delicious. The menu is simple, but I like it. The Mexican mocha is yummy & there is a nice variety of pastries. Moms favorite is the quiche. The almond croissants is amazing also!!

I first discovered this place a few years back and I’m sooo happy I did. Every time I go I LOVE IT! The atmosphere feels exactly like you’re in a quaint French patisserie/cafe. The food is delicious, every thing I’ve ordered is always yummy. Grace and all the staff are the best. It’s by far my favorite little cafe in north county.

Awesome French bakery! The French toast and Eggs Benedict were delicious! (I always order hollandaise sauce on the side, and it was tasty.) Service was great too.

I was visiting family in the area and they took me here. I loved it ! as a matter of fact we went back the next day 4 tea ! Staff is hardworking and and they treat you like royalty ! There is also seating outside. It's not a big place but that's what I like about it 🙂 I'll be back in the area over the holidays so I'll be paying another visit ! By the way, the tea I got was fressia 🥰

Second time here with my family for lunch. The crepes were delicious. You can customize your crepes with different veggies, meat and cheese. And it goes perfectly with a hot tea. We ordered the English Breakfast tea and it was wonderful. The atmosphere is warm and vibrant. You sure will feel very welcome here.

Stopped by for brunch on Saturday and was one of the best meals of my San Diego vacation. Ordered a made my way frittata that came with rosemary potatoes and fruit cup as well as an iced lavender latte. I would go back and tell all my friends if I lived in the area but will visit again on my next trip, so wonderful!

Cute Escondido mainstay cafe with a variety of menu options and breakfast/lunch food. Definitely different menu than your normal cafe, but good options all the same. Food was good not great, staff was nice.

Wonderful food. Wonderful staff, a bit pricey considering you can get just as amazing food locally for less, but hey it was still fantastic. Great seating arrangements and menu was great. No complaints. Drinks were good, wine offering was good too. Staff was attentive and friendly. Parking was easy.

Food was delicious! Calamari and oysters were both top notch and are a definite recommend. Sea bass dish was tasty and the spicy cauliflower was flavorful (added blackened salmon for protein and it was cooked to perfection). Unfortunately, had a few odd events while there: wine glass was dirty when brought to the table but was corrected immediately and secondly, the oysters did not have a serving fork or spoon on the plate for the horseradish/vinegar sauces. Staff was prompt and friendly. Would definitely go again.

Great food, great service, great view, and great vibe. Loved spending time with my family here!! My family had pork chop, fillet mignon, angus New York, and braised short rib. Everything was good, but if you like saucy and tender pork, I would go with pork chop. Short rib was good, I loved the vegetables with it. Fillet mignon is good as always. The only thing I didn’t really like was angus New York!

We didn't make a reservation on a Friday night so we decided to sit at the lounge. But the hostess let us know ahead of time of a free table so we got to dine right by the sunset view. The cocktails and food was very delicious! The food especially the right size portion. Also, the herb bread rolls with sweet butter was especially delicious! I'd highly suggest Vintana if you want to have a fancy night out! .... Update (Feb. 2022): We went here for our anniversary and made a reservation this time and still love the food and service here!

Excellent, creative food at the top spot to eat, literally, in North County (east side). We did the restaurant week menu and enjoyed it very much. Standouts were the beet hummus, filet steak, and bread. Ciapino was an excellent selection of fresh seafood. Fun desserts. Excellent place for celebrating.

As you would expect at a restaurant of this caliber the food was great and the service was even better! We got the crusted brie as an appetizer and it's served with the most delicious sweet and spicy jelly. Had the braised short rib for my main dish and it was excellent. We'll be back for sure.

Amazing service, food and drinks! A favorite place for happy hour! Great view! We love the ambiance and atmosphere. Our server, Jeremy had great recommendations and was very attentive, very polite and always checked on us without overdoing it or forgetting about us. We will definitely be back again.

great upper level dinning place. the location is part of the lexus dealership but on the top floor. the view is gorgeous from there, with both inside and outdoor seating. food is amazing. all the meats were very juicy. the vegetables were all fresh and crispy. a more expensive place, but great for holidays or celebrations.

Came here for a quick brunch. Great concise Menu with awesome options and I absolutely loved the pepper dish and the service!! You need to enter the Lexus showroom and take the glass elevators to go to the restaurant!! Ambience was fantastic!

Delicious lunch of Parmesan and Herb Crusted Salmon Caesar Salad. I asked for a hard-boiled egg instead of the soft boiled that comes with the salad. Apparently, that is a common request. Service was wonderful. My friend and I had a lot of catching up to do, and our server was very kind and let us take our time. We never felt rushed as we enjoyed our lunch time. The view today was spectacular. This is a great place for business or pleasure. Two Yums up from me!

Restaurant is SO pretty and our waitress was so kind. The food is SO good and the portions are REALLY big so you get what you pay for! I would HIGHLY recommend their roasted Brussel sprout side dish and their burgers. The fries are TO DIE FOR. I also had the Veggie Flatbread appetizer which was amazing. All these dishes are easily splittable.

5 stars all around! We had a large group on a Friday night, and every dish was prepared perfectly. The service was great, and the atmosphere....wow! We sat outside in the evening. Views of the sunset were stunning. The fireplaces mixed among the tables and the wonderful gal who performed live made the evening incredibly memorable.

The staff was just incredibly friendly and helpful. It's a hidden restaurant gem with tall glass window and spectacular views. The restaurant inside is classy, spacious and artsy with art deco and lighting. Food was savory, pleasing to the eyes and appetite. The lemonade raspberry drink was delicious and not overly sweet. Definitely looking forward to going back again.

Appetizers of eggplant and lobster bisque were hot, fresh, and so flavorful. Dinner was steak and ahí tuna. Hands down the best steak I've ever had! Ahí tuna was also very well prepared and outstanding. The kids' mac and cheese was excellent as well! Drinks were strawberry fields which was ok but I loved the cucumber midori drink (can't remember name). Will be coming back when I visit California again!

I've been to Vintana a few times now, with varying experiences. Overall it's been good. We recently went to celebrate a big life event with family, so I made a reservation in advance, indicated the special occasion, and made a small request. I was a little surprised that it wasn't even acknowledged so I'm not sure if it was not read or ignored. The service is quite detailed with small things like brushing crumbs off the table and always friendly. We did find ourselves waiting a few times for someone to check in on us. One of our party wanted to pay the bill after dessert was ordered and was unable to do so for at least half an hour because they couldn't get the attention of the waitress. The food tends to be quite good, with more hits than misses. My fiancé's steak was a little overcooked - medium instead of medium rare - and one of our party mentioned that their drink tasted very watery, and the potatoes with their pork chop were very dry. The sea bass was quite good, as was the risotto. Most of the cocktails were flavourful and interesting. The brie is a great shared appetizer. The dessert portions are a little too big, but overall tasty. The dessert drinks are wonderful - especially the brandy alexander. The hits were the lobster mac and cheese and popovers. The ambiance is nice, and the sound level isn't great but is okay. The 5% surcharge is pretty scummy - they already have high enough prices but I wouldn't even mind paying an increase in food prices so I can math out my evening. Adding on 5% instead is a way to hope customers don't notice, which is a little gross (particularly at what would otherwise be a classy outing)

Forgot what a neat place this is and awesome food and views! Highly recommend, bonus for those that love wine their selection is amazing. Kung pao calamari is delicious! Also had lettuce wrapped shrimp tacos and the roasted spicy cauliflower with curry was also very good.
