LEGOLAND California Resort is a playground for all ages that features attractions such as rides and shows in an imaginative LEGO world. For the little ones, there is SEA LIFE Aquarium and LEGOLAND Water Park while the larger kids can enjoy LEGOLAND Legends of CHIMA Water Park with its spectacular Lion Temple Wave Pool and crocodile swamp.
First time visiting, and extremely happy! Very clean, very friendly staff, not over priced for food or souvenirs. Park is on the smaller side but it is geared towards younger children so it was great. Never waited more than 20min for any ride. The amount of detail is absolutely insane! From the mini city to random pigeons and ducks and creatures throughout the park it was great! The kids had a blast, they were excited to see the blocks come to life, and were able to ride just about everything. You can also get wet on the splash pads. Park closes early but we had more than enough time to do everything we wanted and a little more. Well definitely be back!

Go city pass all inclusive worth the price to pay if you plan for more days in San Diego, so many things for kids to do: boat riding, ninjago ride waiting time is a bit too long, kitty disco drop, dragon ride, kids car ride, water park ticket is not included in Go City all inclusive which is a bit disappointed but we didn’t have enough time this time. Highly recommended place for family and kids, you can also buy year pass with affordable prices with water park.

I love coming to Legoland with my 8yr old and 13yr old because it never feels as crowded as other theme parks. I tend to get anxious with big crowds however this place feels like you can breathe when you're walking. The water park can get packed, but it's such a nice perk to have access without an added fee for platinum, elite and gold members too!

Legoland has been on my bucket list ever since it opened 25 years ago. I feel lucky that I can afford to take my kids to experience this wonderful park with me. We had a great time exploring all things Lego! However, the ride lines were super long when we first got there, so we decided to explore the park instead of waiting in line for rides. The kids had a blast exploring the multiple playgrounds and we took multiple pictures with all the Lego builds throughout the park. We had lunch at Pizza Mia and it was alright, but a little pricey for what you get. It would have been better if the pizza had more toppings. One thing to keep in mind is that the park is cashless, which can be nice or not so nice depending on your situation. If you are from out of the country, you could rack up extra charges, but we were lucky enough to have a US credit card. In the afternoon, the lines for the rides were much more reasonable. We rode a few rides and played a few midway games, and stayed there from open to close. I would recommend that you take two days to experience everything this park has to offer. If you plan on visiting the water park as well, then you would need three days.

Took the kids here for spring break and it was awesome! The hotel has packages that include park entry. They also can sell you the mini figure (which you can trade with any employee). We went on a Wednesday and Thursday and it wasn’t that busy. I’d avoid Friday through Sunday. The Friday we left it was as busy as we’d seen it. All the rides were fun and we never waited more that 30 mins. While they allow some food and drinks be prepared to buy food in the park. And as expected it’s $15+ per entree. Park closes at 5pm so plan accordingly. But if you are going to go stay at the hotel, it’s right at the entrance, breakfast is included too. Plus they have a bunch of Lego areas for the kids to build. A lot of entertainment and stuff after hours at the hotels too.

Well designed and maintained amusement park. It is pretty clean and many characters here are made of Lego bricks. Periodically there are performances. Definitely download their app so that you can navigate the park and see the waiting times for every ride.

First time here , loved it. My grandson had a blast. Love the fact that there are lots of play areas. My only complaint I have is that they need to have maintenance clean the refill machines more often so people won't have to fight off the bees and have more stations available.
Patricia M. — Google review
As amusement parks go this one was cute but not very clean or efficient. The kids still had fun but it took attendants 10 minutes to unload/load guests on rides so expect to go very few rides. There’s fun food options but lines are long. Our favorite areas were the outside playground areas! Also they played like 8 versions of “Everything is Awesome.” It got old quickly lol. Definitely fun for the Lego lover! You do need a reservation. Great family vacation!

We just had the best time here! We spent two days, could possibly have used a third but man the kids loved it! (As did the parents) the vast range of activities was more than I expected from the themed playgrounds my boys could have spent all day at to the building workshops and fun little shows to the cool rides! It was definitely a perfect time to bring the kids youngest 5 and oldest 10. They all found something amazing. The weather was a little chilly for the waterpark but we still made the best of it and the kids magically lasted an hour there. On a warmer day they could have easily spent another couple hours. The aquarium is also pretty exciting and something we could have spent more time on. Great place for families! Definitely would do again before the kids get too old.

Legoland in California was wonderful! It really amazing seeing all the buildings and different characters made with Lego’s. Perfect place to bring the all the family. There’s a lots of games, rides and shows for them to see. It makes it easy when you download the app and see what rides or shows have the shortest wait times. The 3D shows are really fun! 🍌🌭🌽 😂
TEA REX — Google review
What an incredible experience. As a long time Lego fan, a childhood dream was finally achieved by actually getting to see the park in person. Obviously many of the rides are catered to kids but we mostly spent our time taking in the incredible builds. The park has much more of a laid back park feel. It's not like those theme parks where you're sprinting from one thing to another. Here you can just take in the beautiful surroundings and enjoy the day.

My 7 year old loved this place especially when we were able to do the water park part of Legoland. I got my tickets through the military ticket and tours. They had a 2 day package deal that included the park, the sea life part, and their water park. So worth the ticket price because before this, I only got a one day pass. So technically we both went 3 times. 🤣

Always wanted to come here when I was a kid, but never had the opportunity. Now as a 34 year old, I got to go with my 4 year old and two year old daughters and it was a blast. Everything is so kid friendly. My kids had a blast. My only wishes are that they have more Lego figurines/statues throughout the park to look at and that they have more lights for the miniature cities so you can see them better in the dark.

Stayed in the hotel Saturday night. The hotel will grab your luggage while you go into the park so when the park closes you can just walk to the hotel room. The room was ready 2 hours before scheduled. It was fun to do the scavenger hunt which is the money in the safe photo. The outdoor pool is heated but also note that if staying at the hotel you can go to the hot tub over on the castle side.

I was surprised by how much I actually loved this place. Last time I visited was almost 20 years ago and it has grown a whole lot since then. Just the right amount of rides to keep your day full and lots of little shows everywhere to keep you entertained. My favorite part though was the center of the park which is a massive Lego town. It was amazing to say the very least
Elisha Renee — Google review
Awesome small park that can be reasonably navigated in a day with kids. Cool miniature areas modeled after major US cities. The Dino area was packed but understandable because it's new. Great to see a nod to Duplo for the toddler ages!

Perfect for kids, but definitely not cheap. You get the best value and experience from booking in advance and staying at one of the hotels. We stayed at the “Knights” hotel, which the kids genuinely loved. From the Wizard-themed room with a bunkbed and mini treasure hunt, to the outside entertainment on premises, there was generally always something for the kids and us to do while relaxing at the hotel. Being guest also gets you free breakfast at the buffets, which was better than most “free” (continental) breakfast options I’ve had. Other meals at the Hotels were decent as well, with my favorite being the heavily-peppered 14oz New York steak at the “Dragon’s Den”. Legoland itself changes up often enough to stay interesting, but there are always lines for everything (as one expects at a huge amusement park). Luckily, as a hotel guest, you get “early access” to the main parts of the park, which helps cut down waits at the popular rides early-on, and makes the rest of the day a bit easier. It is definitely easier to walk back to the hotel to rest, or after a long, eventful day at the park, compared to having to drive home/elsewhere. All the food and souvenirs inside the park are really expensive (but decent in quality), while the Lego sets (at least) are still MSRP. Half the water park was closed when we were there, which was unfortunate, but seems to be a seasonal-thing. The aquarium was larger than expected and pretty nice for the space available. There are also plenty of playgrounds and other things for kids to do outside of rides that don’t generally have lines. Live performances can be hit-or-miss, but our kids seemed to enjoy everything.

I love going on the weekdays. Not as busy. So kid friendly and my kiddos can pretty much go on anything and they are 5 and 7. We got rained out last year. It was so easy to go again. The Aviator ride with the triple Decker couch was my favorite. Highly recommend this place for a day of family fun.
Jordanne Starkel — Google review
It was our first visit with our 3 year old grandson. Everyone had a great day as there is entertainment for every age group( I had a hard time getting all of my men out of the areas where they could build with lego bricks). We ended up converting our tickets to a season pass.
Kathryn Wafer — Google review
First time experiencing Legoland and a big theme park with my young kids and we think it was really great! We stayed two nights at the hotel and had two days at the park. It really is big enough to need two days, especially with some rides having 60+ minutes waits. Paying to get on a ride quicker is something new to me but we did not feel the need to do it. Kids need to learn to wait and snacks and fun games together can teach them the skills! From toddler, preschool and early elementary I felt like it was a great layout for all my kids to get to experience rides. The multiple play areas with slides and playgrounds is also amazing to sit and let our kids run wild in a contained area. I’d like to see more benches with back support, as a nursing mama that was difficult to find. Plenty of bathrooms spread out, could always use more family bathrooms that allow strollers to come in. As a vegan family I’d love to see more options. Even just snacks, not candy ones, that are healthy and non dairy and have no animal products in them! Thankful we could bring our own in! The app was really helpful to know wait times and directions within the park. We felt like it was a great family vacation overall!!
Amy M — Google review
I had a wonderful experience though it rained for the first half and most of the rides were closed, I did not let that affect the review. Later on it cleared up and we had an awesome experience, the food was a bit pricey but Smokehouse BBQ was amazing and a good portion size, I got the baked beans, Mac and Cheese, and the Taste of Texas, which was pulled pork, brisket, and a hot link! All of it was delicious! The rides were amazing, we went on the submarine ride, which had real fish, and a fun treasure hunt, the new Dino Valley roller coaster, which was a great intro to someone who has never rode a roller coaster, the carousel which is a timeless classic, and my daughter rode the horse ride in medieval area, which is 36" height requirement and minimum age of 4. Parking was good we found a spot quick and a short walk to the entrance. Overall great experience!

The Flower Fields is a vast and beautiful meadow of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus flowers that come alive for only six to eight weeks each year. The fields are located in North San Diego County and are a popular tourist attraction for graduation, engagement, and celebratory photos.
You should always go outside to stop and smell the flowers. Located in Carlsbad, I’ve always seen it off the freeway and finally decided to go with the family. You have to buy tickets online for a specific time slot. It’s about $25 for each adult, $22 plus a $2.95 service charge. Kids are a $10 with the service charge. The fields are open Mar through early May. They have a few activities for the kiddos like a maze, tractor ride, gem mining. Lots and lots of photo opportunities. Its cool because they have it set up where you can take really good photos, with props, benches so you don’t have people right next to you in your photos. You have to wait in line but there’s lots of opportunities even if it’s busy. You cannot just walk through the rows of flowers They had a food truck, a popcorn stand, a lemonade stand just in case you wanted to grab a snack or lunch there. We went on a Sunday so it was rather busy and parking was pretty hard to find. The outlets are nearby too. Wear some comfy shoes since there’s a lot of walking involved.

We make a bi-annual trip to Carlsbad to visit the Flower Fields. Ranunculus are everywhere in many colors. Food Carts are available as well as a large gift shop. Plan on 3 to 4 hours to walk the entire complex. They do have trams available for those with mobility issues. Well worth the trip.

The Field of Flowers was beautiful. Perfect place to visit if you love all the colors and flowers. There were things to do for the kids too; sweet pea maze, passport stamps, and food trucks. Plenty of stations to take pictures with the flowers to include a set up with a tractor and then benches. The flowers were well maintained and the American flag of flowers was a bonus to see.

Cool flower fields! There's gotta be millions of flowers here, and they have tons of different colors. The front area has a lot of small attractions, including a huge finch/pigeon cage. You have to buy tickets in advance, and they're non-refundable. I probably wouldn't recommend buying them too far in advance in case it rains the day you go.

Such a beautiful flower garden 🌸! I had seen a lot of insta post prior to coming here and the flower field seemed to be blooming on those photos! However, it looked more like these earlier in March when I went! It was still very beautiful and the flower field is big so I’m sure when they flowers grow completely it will look even more beautiful! I suggest calling before going to see how the flower fields are! Ticket was $22 per person! You can’t step among the flower field lanes but they do have photo props around the fields to get cute photos!

Beautiful place, with all the magnificent scenery of flower fields. You will get to know great knowledge about some flowers and plants. Take advise of best plantations there is a wide selection to buy as well. Fun place for all ages. Catering, restrooms and assistance available all day long. Better to visit from mid march till may. If you mind the heat better to select time before 11 am or after 2.30pm

The flower fields are truly a sight to behold. While our visit was during mid-March when the flowers were not fully bloomed yet, we still had a wonderful experience. The fields were picturesque, and the vibrant colors of the flowers added a touch of beauty to the surroundings. One aspect that made the visit even more enjoyable, especially for the kids, was the scavenger hunt. It added an element of excitement and exploration to the trip. It engaged their curiosity as we searched for hidden treasures amidst the flowers. The hunt made the visit interactive and kept them entertained throughout the experience. Although the flowers were not in full bloom during our visit, I could still appreciate the charm and potential of the fields, I can only imagine how breathtaking it would be to witness the fields in their full glory later in the season. Nonetheless, the partially bloomed flowers still created a lovely ambiance and provided a memorable experience. Overall, I highly recommend visiting this place. The beauty of the surroundings, combined with the fun scavenger hunt, made it a worthwhile experience for both adults and children alike. It's an ideal destination to immerse yourself in nature's beauty and create lasting memories with your family. #LetsGuide

I love the Flower Field. I always like to take my professional camera with me to the Flower Field to take pictures. Pictures don’t do justice for what the field looks like when you are actually there. This is my second time here. It can get crowded around noon. There are food trucks for snacks and lunch. The flowers are very pretty, and the view is amazing

this is the only flower field I’ve ever been to, but everything was incredibly beautiful. I don’t think it can be captured in words or even with images how lovely it is to walk around so many flowers in bloom. Highly recommend! Definitely go in the morning to avoid build up on the fwy and crowds at the fields.
Rebecca Draper — Google review
I was able to visit early March..only a section of fields were in bloom, but still stunning! Hope to go back before the season is over. Make sure to have some comfortable walking shoes or even hiking boots. It's a nice workout going up and down the sections of blooms.
Luna — Google review
It is still early in the season, so not all fields were bloomed. However, there were still more flowers than expected. The bird enclosure was really pretty. There were beautiful doves, finches, etc. I didn't know there were so many varieties of Poinsettias and really liked that display. Didn't expect to see so many different types of plants, flowers, and garden arrangements. We missed the blueberry picking or maybe it wasn't open yet. The flag display is located furthest south of the grounds, so it is easy to miss. The flowers were bloomed, but it is hard to get the whole effect from ground level, although it is still really impressive. We are making plans to come back once everything is fully bloomed.
J McGuinness — Google review
Beautiful place to visit, make sure to catch the flower fields in the Spring, when they are in full bloom. Lots of different areas to take pictures, as there are designated dugouts where you can stand in the flowers to pose. Would recommend as a tourist place for both newcomers and San Diegans alike. Only thing is that you have to buy tickets in advance online, which may be hard for some, so make sure to purchase in advance. Other than that, they offer a variety of activities, like tractor rides or gem fishing. Orchid arboretum was beautiful as well. Not sure if I would return again, as it is more of a one time visit, but I would recommend the experience to others!
Kirsten Nguyen — Google review
I took a date here in mid-April. Unfortunately, the Sunflower field was not in bloom as advertised on their website. The flower fields were definitely beautiful, but a lot of the same thing for miles. We took the tractor ride, which was nice. However, the driver hit the side of the ramp, and honestly, it was kind of dangerous and shook the entire cart. Was also really close to running into multiple people walking... The food here was really pricy, and so were most of the items in the gift shop. Outside, a lot of the displays were very beautiful, but not much to do, and some things were closed down.. this would be a great place to take younger kids as there are more activities for children than adults. Overall, it was not what I expected, but I am glad that we went at least once. I may come back a second time eventually, but probably not more than that. I really think with the cost of this place, it could use a little TLC and needs some updates. Maybe bringing in a new attraction would help breathe some life into this place that is lacking.
SonnyStarfire — Google review
We usually buy season passes and love to watch the season progress. Early to mid April the fields are in full bloom and it is breathtaking. There are picnic tables up top to enjoy and take in the view. It also provides a beautiful backdrop for photos!
Pheap Canossi — Google review
Most amazing experience! These flower fields are incredible. You can either walk or for $16 they have a tractor ride that takes you around the fields. There is also benches and places where you can wait in line to take pictures with the fields. Very pleasant experience! They also have some food stands.
Rebecca Castro — Google review
Today was just the most beautiful day to go, and one set of fields was in FULL super bloom. Honestly, more flowers than your eyes can fathom. I'd suggest bringing a light sweater (as it can get a bit windy by the ocean), wear good shoes (you'll get dusty!), bring a hat, camera, water, SPF, and sunglasses! The flowers are absolutely stunning!! You'll have the greatest time. Hats off to the gardeners and staff here!!! 🌼🏵️🪻🌸

Amazing display of flowers. Great place to take some wedding photos or such occasions if it is during the season. A tractor ride through the fields might be good if you have trouble walking too much. There are a lot of workshops that happen here as well...please note that the workshops and events usually need separate tickets. Parking can be a bit scarce. Make sure to check out the additional parking they have available right past the regular parking. Any way parking is free.

Loved it. The flowers are beautiful. The whole area is big and so much to look at. Many photo spots. Extra charge for the tractor ride. But you can walk it. Restrooms available Ice cream, lemonade, food options

Do yourself a favor and don’t miss these 55 acres of Flowers! Ranunculus, Eucalyptus, orchids, sweet peas maze and even a truck to take you around for $8.00 with hop on hop off options. About 3 hours is plenty to see everything, there’s live music, food and plenty of plants, flowers and souvenirs to shop. Parking gets full quickly, but people come and go all the time. This is a must see from March to May. Enjoy it!

Gorgeous place to make your day! No matter how bad a day you have, seeing these color ranunculus will make you smile! I have been here a few times before and this year is my second time back and still loving it! It's a must if you have not been here.

Beautiful flower field, make sure you go early so that it wouldn’t be too sunny and crowded. There are other different areas beside the flower field that you can explore around too. If you’d like to get a good walk in with amazing weather and view, this is the place to go. We came in around late March and lots of flowers bloomed 💐🌺

Such a beautiful experience. Fun for anyone. You can either choose to walk or ride the wagon. We walked, and it took us about an hour to walk the entire field. Comfortable shoes are recommended!

Such a beautiful place to visit in Carlsbad, CA! I was there the first week of March and there were a lot of flowers to see. You have to get an online ticket first and pick the time you are going. It's 20.00 for adults. If you don't want to pay, drive up to the road above the flowers and you can walk around there and see them.

If you're someone who loves listening to beautiful music and want to learn more about the instruments that create it, the Museum of Making Music is definitely worth a visit. This museum contains galleries of different instruments as well as special exhibitions and live events. With its interesting displays and informative panels, this museum is a great way to learn all about the fascinating world of music-making.
The staff was knowledgeable and engaging. We talked at length about the history of different instruments and the industry of making instruments. It was great and the interactive displays along with the instruments available to play made it a blast.

Fabulous museum! The exhibits are interactive and some of the instruments left my party in awe. From exhibits arranged by curated instrument categories to the catogory arranged by the history of music in the USA, this museum will be enjoyed by musicians and music fans, of any age. Best part; "you play" instruments played by the artist in our party.

We've visited Carlsbad many times, and this was the first time we've come to this museum. It was a good experience for all. It is a small museum, but it offers a lot to see, play, and learn. The informational booths offer interesting videos about the exhibits. For those with any type of interest in music, a visit to this museum will be a great experience.

Amazing place!! From precious instruments to historical video-recordings of famous artists; from exclusive interviews with composers and music producers; and from videos showing the instrument manufacturing process to the unique chance to play with an incredible array of instruments, this museum has it all. Well informed staff that pop up whenever you have a question and a truly gem of a music and books store. And the entrance fee is ridiculously low, too! Can't wait to bring the whole family for a fun filled afternoon here!!

Great experience at this small but fascinating museum. Lots of interactivity with instruments available to play - Telecasters, harps, digital drumkit, Moog synths, digital turntables, theremin - and lots of fascinating museum pieces to view. Friendly staff and helpful when it comes to trying out new instruments too, and a nice little gift shop with lots of items for musicians and music lovers.

Interesting and engaging museum for all ages. We stumbled upon this museum while visiting Carlsbad and were glad we did. The tour guide Brian was very energetic and funny. Not only can you see classic and modern instruments but you can play some of them. The gift shop is a nice touch. Planning to take my family here again.

Was a nice representation of music through time. Had an area to try the instruments, but tough to get to as the kids loved that part. In the museum approx 1 1/2 hrs and the same children playing.

This is a great place for both adults and children. It starts out but you're looking at exhibits reading and listening to artist performances. The last half is pretty unexpected as they have turntables, and so many instruments that you can actually play, along with a rather large touchscreen that you can choose countries on. The videos play native music and modern music for each of the countries. I spent nearly 3 hours there. There's a kid section with instruments as well as electric guitars and acoustic guitars and drums and tambourines that adults can play, also. Very enjoyable!

Every summer we throw options in a hat on where the kids want to go on vacay before school starts, this summer they pulled from the hat and chosed San Diego, California. First off, this place was awesome, If your a music lover like myself and my daughter (future music producer), you must take time to check out this museum. Every turn was educational and with in depth info about every instrument present there. What's cool is that, they have sitting areas where some, but not all, instrument you can actually play. I was hooked on the tounge drum, never knew this instrument existed, until now. Everyday is still a learning process for me, but I absorbe information and retain it. There's also other museums around the same area, but by far the museum of making music was my fav.

Awesome museum! There are a lot of interactive instruments to play and a whole bunch of interesting facts around the whole museum. They have a different exhibits for each time period of music and each genre of instrument, (ex. String instruments). The staff is really friendly and they explain everything really well. A great museum to see while in Carlsbad! 5/5 stars!

What a great walk through musical history! Worth checking out for a look into how instruments have evolved and changed over time. Interactive touch screens will not only give you detailed info on instruments being displayed but also have video demonstrations of them being played. There is plenty of hands on instruments from pianos to guitar to DJ turntable and MIDI units too! Learned lots and played lots.

The Carlsbad Premium Outlets is a mall in San Diego that features high-end designer stores. It is one of the most popular shopping destinations in the area, and it offers great deals on designer products. The mall has an Italian style courtyard with fountains, and it's a great place to spend a day with the kids.
Beautiful outdoor mall! I go there for the shoes: Nike, Under Armor, Converse, Vans, Puma and more, and the prices are amazing! Lots of good clothing stores like Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Coach, Polo Ralph Lauren, Etc. Some fun things for the kids like a little train ride, quick food like tacos, but then there's a lot of nice restaurants on the outer perimeter including a Starbucks. Definitely gets crowded at Peak.

It's weird, I went to go get a pair of pumps and The only shoe store I found was Aldo... I didn't find any black pumps. If you're looking for athletic shoes or sunglasses there's plenty of that. However they do give an additional military discount in most stores. The coach stores having a 60% off sale. Everyone in there is super friendly and helpful. If you join the rewards club you get free shipping for purchases over $100. The Le creuset store is well stocked and they always have good stuff. All the stores are open It's open air I didn't see any mask requirement, there are quite a few food options. They have the giant animatronic stuffed animals that the kids can ride and there's water fountains and a stand with fruit, snacks and hot dogs.

This is a nice shopping area with lots of great stores. We visited here to kill some time and to find a beach bag which we were unsuccessful at doing.

OMG, Carlsbad Outlet Mall is like a shopaholic's dream come true! It's got everything you need to indulge in some serious retail therapy. From designer brands to bargain deals, you can find it all at this shopping mecca. The best part about this mall is that it's not just about shopping. The mall itself is spacious and well laid out, making it easy to navigate and find the stores you're looking for. The mall is beautifully landscaped and has plenty of seating areas throughout, making it a comfortable and inviting place to spend an afternoon. What really sets this mall apart, however, is the incredible selection of stores. From high-end retailers to popular chain stores, there's something for everyone here. The prices are discounted across the board as well, making it a great place to save on your favorite brands. One of the things I appreciated most about the Carlsbad outlet mall was the cleanliness and upkeep of the facilities. The bathrooms were spotless, and every store I visited was well-maintained and organized. The staff was also uniformly friendly and helpful, going out of their way to ensure a positive shopping experience. Overall, I can't recommend the Carlsbad outlet mall enough. From the fantastic selection of stores to the comfortable and clean environment, everything about this mall is top-notch. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this is definitely a destination worth checking out.

Terrific outlet! One can even find even better discounts at some stores and customer friendly staff.

I visited the Outlet with my daughters and my ex in-between my oldest daughter's club soccer games. A nice little shopping spot. My girls got various clothing articles with their mom and I got a chef's knife. One daughter got Boba and the other got a tea concoction. Mom paid for one daughter's treat and I paid for the other's treat. I got in some "steps", got a chef's knife I had wanted for a while, and spent a pleasant afternoon with my ex and our girls.
David Burgreen — Google review
Great place for shopping name brands… but the mall should really do some parking planning for holidays and Black Friday. There is no easy way to exit. It would be easy to open an exit up on Armada Drive past the dirt parking lot, or have some attendants helping to ease the congestion and keep flow at the exits.
Jessica Laitinen — Google review
Fabulous!!! I got some yummy Panda Express! Service was excellent! Freshly made for me!
TASHA RENGERS — Google review
Spacious, generally clean with ample parking. Designers, famous and other outlets stores, majority offering discounts ranging from 30 to 60%. Innocent shoppers hardly can understand the underlying reasons: outdated design, odd sizes not sold or minor defects not visible, etc. Shrewed customers know these points. Calvin Klein, Polo Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, GAP, Clarkson, and Nike are a few of many famous brands' outlets. Sunglass hut, Kream factory, Kate Spade, and Tea Monks are a few of other shops. Discount for military personnel; but not for seniors or poor guys!

Very upscale and a great flower fields backdrop. Awesome stores. Very beautiful outdoor mall.
Lisa Hernandez — Google review
They have plenty of shops. Some shops have been there long term, some don't seem to last long. There is a good variety (outdoor shops, restaurants, fashion, etc). I feel like some of the higher end, uppity stores, like Coach and Ralph Lauren, are near the middle/front. The more athletic/outdoor shops, like Adidas, The North Face, and Nike, seem to be more spread out. The restaurants seem to be more on the southern end (towards the right of looking from the parking lot).
Christopher Hazlett — Google review
Large Outlet Mall with lots of Brand Name stores with great sales prices. Lots of Restaurants to get a great meal while shopping. Plenty of parking and close to the freeway when you're ready to go home.
G Kawa — Google review
We walked all around the outlets and found manys deals in the stores. There's ample enough bathrooms surrounding this area also and very clean. We were able to find several places with premium soccer cleats for our daughter. There's a good amount of eateries also throughout in case u get hungry and plus there's benches all throughout in case you need to sit and take a break. The landscaping and building are all up kept nicely with no complaints from us.
Brandon Munoz — Google review
Super fun spot to stroll and check out some great deals at the outlet shops. Lots of choices for snacks, meals, and refreshments. They have restrooms throughout and atm. Tons of unique kiosks for some added shopping and eating :)

Aquarium
Zoos & Aquariums
A vast and educational aquarium, SEA LIFE Aquarium is perfect for all ages. With more than 5,000 creatures from all over the world, it's a must-see when visiting LEGOLAND California Resort. The underwater views are breathtaking, and there's something for everyone to enjoy – from feeding times to talks on marine life.
For only $25 per person, this is a great value. I had a blast doing this. It’s great for kids and kids at heart. Expect to stay around an hour. There is quite a bit to read and they even have a touch pool. This is a must do if in Lego land and especially if it is hot humid and raining out.
Brian Keenan — Google review
This is a really nice aquarium. It's not that big but a lot to see. They have an area where you could touch starfish, sea urchins and some sponges. My favorite part was that they have sharks in a really nice tunnel. The kids enjoyed it very much.
Arunia Lopez — Google review
Amazing. The aquarium is a great way to end a visit at legoland. It's easy for the parents to wind down and makes for a great afternoon show. We love visiting every time we come to town. It's also important to remember that all of the same treasure hunting applies at the aquarium as it does inside the park :-). There are great exhibits, a fun treasure hunt (stamps) and a touch pool as well as multiple modern exhibits. Ensure to watch littles with the low areas and convex displays. A huge shout out to Sachorrah and Murphy for helping us track down some unique finds and pointing us around.
Bryan Uhri — Google review
Really fun for kids. There's also a cool project that the kids can use a map to go around and get stamps and at the end get a small something. At the end there's also a place to actually touch small creature's,kids really liked this. A nice addition to the park.
Sarah Moll?t-Folta — Google review
Great for the kids! It was such a beautiful experience. The whole aquarium can be done at a moderate pace in 1hr -1.5hr. It has 2 floors and stairs or elevator available for use. I would rate 5 stars if it allowed the use of strollers. We kinda rushed since my 1 and 5 yr old are a handful when left to roam around.
maciel molina — Google review
It was the first time we've been there. Actually even my 20-month-old loved the place, he is a fan of the fishes. And my almost 6-year-old was so excited. You can touch live sea stars and watch all the different types of fishes.
Margarita Son — Google review
The aquarium is very informative and contains many interesting fish and animal species to explore. Each station has a board where children can learn about the types of fish and observe them in the aquarium. There is a ranger station with confiscated booths and belts made of python, crocodile and ostrich. I highly recommend starting Legoland with the aquarium, as children are not too tired in the morning and can spend 1-2 hours indoors. We arrived at 10:30, there were no queues.
Alex Budchanin — Google review
We had a total blast in the aquarium! There are several interactive activities that little children can do through. They feature a wide verity of fish and other sea plant life. There are several different tanks to visit and walk through. Yes, you can actually walk through a glass tunnel and become completely surrounded by the exhibit. Facilities were well taken care of. There is a section where you can touch starfish.
CJay Turn — Google review
Paid $25 (each) to go to the aquarium, and didn't know I would have to pay another $25 for parking. If I had been already at Lego Land and added it to my ticket, it would have been more worth it. The staff was great, and there were a lot of animals to look at. The whole thing took us about an hour, including a couple shows and embossing the scavenger hunt at each station.
Bethany Knoll — Google review
I absolutely loved the aquarium in Legoland! There were so many variety’s of sea-life in their aquarium and so much to look at. It’s a self guided tour and to u can definitely complete the aquarium in about an hour or so.
Emerald C. — Google review
This aquarium wasn't huge, but it was fun to explore. It was perfect if you got bored of Legoland and wanted to see some ocean life. Great for a family.
Brock Barraza — Google review
My kids enjoyed themselves. Another lady brought her infant son and he looked amazed with everything. Cool little play section at the end.
Nee-Nee Vick — Google review
This was a fun add on to Legoland. Part of the two day pass. Took our family with small kids 75 minutes to walk through! Really interesting facts and sea life and a tide pool to touch star fish and urchins! Kid friendly and fun to walk through!
Amy M — Google review
Fun and engaging aquarium and you can touch some of the sea life. Very scenic and I learned a good amount from the exhibit. With some Lego friends of course scattered throughout!
Jefferson Abuan — Google review
Loved it. The Sea Guides were very informative and spoke to the kids. We were able to see the sharks, fishes, and sting rays during their feed time. 2 levels of sea life. There is an interactive station to touch star fish and algae.
Cookie OnaMission — Google review
It was amazing. I took my family there and my 3-year-old daughter was amazed by all the sea life. You see everything from starfish and Jellyfish to catfish and panther sharks. At some point, you even get to touch the sea life with two fingers very gently. The entire Excursion didn't take more than 2 hours and that's if you take your time to glance at everything and learn about each aquarium tank. I highly recommend that sea life enthusiasts visit the aquarium Park as you will not be disappointed. You can make a day out of it by going to Legoland prior or after visiting the aquarium or if you just have a couple hours it's worth driving and experiencing the aquarium. Parking is very easy and the entrance is even easier. For parents that have kids that use strollers you won't be able to take the stroller inside the aquarium but you can park it outside with all the other strollers and grab it on your way out. Make sure you have your camera with you and comfortable shoes, hope you all enjoy as much as my family and I did!

Steak house
The Seafood & Steakhouse is a luxurious Italian-inspired steakhouse overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Its menu features fresh seafood and prime steaks, all prepared with a rich and elegant flair. The private dining room provides a tranquil setting for couples or small groups to enjoy a delicious meal.
Coming back from San Diego, this restaurant was a great choice when you are craving Italian food. Service was great, the waiter a white told guy from England very kind and friendly (also very funny, but can't remember his name sorry) I didn't know what to expect, but so happy that I choose this place. Food is delicious, I will give more stars if I could.

The food and the service were both wonderful. Our waiter, Brandon, made our night even better. Plus, the sunset view along the beach was breathtaking. I ordered Cioppino, loved the fresh taste of seafood. The tomato broth was flavorful. Our group had a great dinner that evening.

This place was beautiful! I was here on a business lunch in CA and I loved everything I ate here. My meal was the chicken and mushroom marsala and it did not disappoint. Dishes varied from $30-$60 plus appetizers. The service was great and the staff very friendly. If and when I come out this way again, I’ll make sure to come back.

This restaurant is great! Atmosphere is relaxing and the staff is really friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is pretty good, some italian classics and some twists, steak are really tasty (Tomahawk) and for their prices it’s 100% worth it. Have in mind, they only have valet parking. Reservation 100% recommended.
Liz Rodriguez — Google review
The food is great. I have loved everything I've eaten here. The spaghetti carbanara is AMAZING but is only on the lunch menu. The service is fantastic. But truly, you are paying for the view. The food doesn't match the price. If it was just slightly less expensive for what you got, I would be giving this 5 stars. $180 for a steak is just a bit much in my opinion.
Naomi Joy Hall — Google review
Great restaurant with a pretty amazing view of the water. We were just passing through after a walk on the beach. Decided to stop by and have some lunch. Good food and staff. It was nice to sit outside but for the prices of the food replace the clear wind protectors. Clips were l broken and they kept swinging in at the table. Petty complaint..over all nice place!
Ryan Bazan — Google review
Big splurge! Excellent service by a sexy Italian waiter and a team of others for our table of six. We had a great time. Fantastic food and cocktails. Fresh bread! Oysters, shrimp cocktail, scallop risotto -- all yummy. Two of us sent steaks back to the kitchen to be cooked more. Mine returned still too rare for me and I wondered if it had actually been put back on the grill; I ordered medium rare and it was still bright red in the middle. To be fair, the meat was top quality and delicious but I took it home to finish for lunch the next day.

Wonderful service and really great food. Inside and outside dining but the outside with the ocean view is amazing. The location is literally steps from the beach. They have valet parking but also you can park in the surrounding neighborhood.

A high-end restaurant. Some very original dishes, and overall good food. Salmon so tender, melts in your mouth. Clam, oyster muscles are specialty; calamari was not the best. Pasta very good huge portions. Not the best selection. Prices high to v-high. Tables v close, great view of coast & surf. Only good parking was their lot, 9$ fee, but you better tip high (double ) to get the car keys..

Wonderful lunch overlooking the Pacific Ocean. A close friend recommended this place if were in the area. I love to eat high quality food and this was splendid. I had great Halibut over a bed of risotto and spinach with small shrimp. My partner had a beautiful Chicken with mushrooms and fresh vegetables on the side. We had an excellent waiter who made good recommendations and provided top notch service. Cost including tip was $100. Usually wouldn’t spend this for a lunch but it was perhaps the best lunch in a long, long time.

Amazing place the view is to die for. Delicious food we had fried calamari and cape sante porcini mushrooms full of flavor. The ossobuco milanese was perfectly cooked and the rice was tasty. The waitress suggested a wine bottle that paired perfectly with our dishes. Perfect service professionals and friendly we will be bringing our friends.

Fantastic seafood dinner at Vigilucci’s! We sat on the dog friendly patio and had great, authentic Italian service. We ordered the seared tuna with a giant shrimp, Chilean sea bass, seafood sampler with diver scallops, crab cake, salmon, shrimp, and Chilean sea bass, chicken parmigiana, and spaghetti for our entrees. We got calamari as an appetizer. For dessert we had a cannoli, chocolate lava cake, crème brûlée, and chocolate gelato. Everything was delicious and came out quickly. There’s a $9 valet but found street parking easily a street over. Highly recommend!

New American restaurant
Restaurant
Campfire is an exciting indoor/outdoor venue that serves delicious wood-fired American cuisine and cocktails in a camping-themed ambiance. This lively restaurant has gained recognition in the prestigious Michelin Guide, which speaks volumes about its quality. While not exclusively catering to vegans, Campfire offers fantastic plant-based options, making it a great choice for those seeking something unique and perfect for socializing with friends. The relaxed atmosphere celebrates the tradition of cooking and sharing meals together.
Campfire was a great dining experience especially if you're doing the chef's tasting menu. An ideal dining option if you're dining with the group and wanting to experience multiple tastings and short amount of time for a great price. Staff and owner were president and extremely kind and helpful with your order and guided you with the best options that best fit your palate and the creativity of the chef. Celebrating our friend's bachelor party here was a wonderful experience and would highly recommend to anyone else who would be interested in doing anything similar or a great dining experience. The broccoli by far the best thing and it is not overhyped. by my review and anyone else so definitely get to the broccoli and even if you're getting the vegan one it does not taste any different than the real thing.

My boyfriend and I decided to do a last minute trip here after searching in this area for a great restaurant experience. Upon entry, we were impressed by the atmosphere. (Whoever designed this space did a wonderful job). We were sat on the patio along the side of the restaurant, the atmosphere was well translated from indoor to outdoor-we didn’t feel like we were missing out on the experience. The host was very accommodating, the service was great. The food was MIND BLOWING. I can clearly see that the ownership and management down to the floor staff all care about what they are doing and know all of the points to hit. Very impressed. enchanting at every level.

Had a great time celebrating my birthday dinner at Campfire. The staff signed a birthday card, which was super sweet. We shared their broccoli apperizer and bread, both were delicious. I ordered the chicken dish with carrots, and it was super flavorful. Fun atmosphere and creative drinks. Highly recommend!

Fantastic discovery! You will leave a happy camper after eating by Campfire. The service is first class, top notch. You'll be amazed by the friendliness and attention to detail. Service goes along with delicious food, wine and cocktails. The oysters and broccoli are at the top. The fish (grouper is what we had) and brisket are delicious entrées. The desserts are fantastic! Hence the empty plates!

My experience at campfire was AMAZING! I had such a great time and it was the perfect place to celebrate a birthday. 10/10 would go again. I got the pork chops and my man got the brisket and we both left happy! The s’mores were delicious! And the COCKTAILS! Chef’s kiss!

Campfire never disappoints! All the food was delicious and so beautiful! The "tomato" which was grilled peaches, heirloom tomatoes and basil in a vinaigrette was my favorite dish of the night! Everything about it was perfect! They absolutely made my night, because they made me their roasted beet cocktail that was on their menu a few years ago! Ask for it if you're feeling daring, you won't be sorry!

It's my first time here, and it meets the mark for food and atmosphere. Service was good, but it did take a while for the various dishes to come out. However, the food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the smokey olives and bass. The hummus was great, too. Although the broccoli was prepared with a lemon vinegarette, it also had a unique charred taste. The portion of broccoli was huge. The server knew her craft and was very efficient.

Hands down one of the best meals we've ever had! We went in for my birthday dinner and it was so good, I didn't want the meal to end. We went here when it first opened in 2016, while I was living in Carlsbad, and just came back for a visit. It was great then and even better 8 years later. We definitely hope to come back next time we're in town!

Very nice, rustic looking place when looking from the outside. The food is exceptional, and the service is one of the best I have ever had. They changed out our plate after eating the appetizers as well. This place is always packed, and don't be afraid to sit outside. The outside place has a lot of heaters to keep you warm. Highly recommend!

Our favorite restaurant in Carlsbad! Dishes were very themed and unique. Flavors were super intense. We tried the brocolli that everyone recommends but it was huge and felt like drinking oil which wasn't amazing. Our favorite dish were the mussels (subject to change), but overall everything was amazing. Also they had a huge outdoor patio section with comfortable seating and completely heated.
Yu-Lin Yang — Google review
Loved our dinner at Campfire! The food was amazing. Very refined flavors in their extremely creative dishes. Our server was great, but overstretched. He had a backup helper who could be trained to do more than just poor water, which would greatly help lessen the load on the main server. Other than that we really liked the experience and our meal.
kathleen snyder — Google review
Such an amazing place and experience here. With a somewhat fusion style of amazing and differently choice of menu items, it was definitely a great time for my wife and I. The service, staff and management are outstanding!!! Located in the main food district of Carlsbad California on State Street. This is definitely one of my new favorite go to restaurants when I visit San Diego's North County area. The manager Janae, was very accommodating to my food allergies to the point where they highlighted what they thought I may enjoy. Our food concierge Kaely, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I chose the Chicken with Eggplant and a yogurt dressing. My wife had the Broccoli and fresh Sea bass. I highly recommend that if you are visiting the area, that you stop in and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere and friendliness of this place. I must mention that parking can be tough to find, but it's definitely worth it to try and find one so that you can enjoy the experience here. If you happen to come for a visit tell them Marc from Marc's Bachelor's Kitchen sent you. Five Stars all the way around. Thanks so much guys, we'll definitely be back to visit...

Great experience from beginning till end. Every little touch really made the difference. All the dishes were impressive. Came here at 5:15 pm, one of the first people here for dinner. Ordered the roasted broccoli which was so so good. It was kind of burnt and had a really good yellow sauce. This was the best broccoli and never had it like this. I ordered the American Wagyu steak with a hash brown type thing for my main dish and my partner got roasted fish. Amazing restaurant!

Everything about the drinks, dinner, and dessert, was phenomenal. For a starter we had the porridge bread, and for entrees I had the brisket and my friend had the chicken. Both were excellent. The s’more was delish - I could’ve actually gone for a little less chocolate, it was so rich! Everything was perfect. If I’m ever back in the area, I will definitely return.

My husband and I went for dinner on a Saturday evening to celebrate my birthday. We had been here in the past, about 1 1/2 yr ago. We really enjoyed it then. On this occasion this wasn’t the case. We obviously had the bread which was as I remembered. Then we had the crudo which was nice, but very pricey for 5 tiny pieces of fish. For the side we had their roasted broccoli which is one of their signature dishes. This was insanely salty and totally burnt. We did comment on this with our server , Zack , who was very understanding. So he brought a new broccoli head, unfortunately it was almost the same as the previous one. For our entrees we had the half chicken with yogurt which was very good. And the octopus with endive and grapefruit. The octopus was cooked very well but it was again extremely salty. Campfire’s bar is very good. We enjoyed 4 drinks, all very well balanced and tasty. Service was excellent. They took real good care of us. Accidentally I spilled one of my drinks and they were quick cleaning my mess and immediately offered another drink, which by the way wasn’t charged. Since it was my birthday I got a nice card and a free dessert with my candle. I will definitely try this place one more time and ask for the least salty plates they have to offer. Thanks Zack !

The food was amazing and so were the drinks! Everything was tasty in its own way. The olives, broccoli and crudo all started off amazing and then we had the chicken and octopus and they were so good. We wanted dessert but we’re just too full. I definitely want to come back again.

French restaurant
Pronounced pah-own, Paon Restaurant & Bar is a chic and elegant French restaurant that serves California cuisine with a bit of French influence. The lounge area has an old Hollywood feel with warm tones of cream and gold, while the patio overlooks Carlsbad Village - a quaint downtown area that beckons for an introspective evening out. The menu features seasonal, locally grown organic produce as well as prime meats, game, and fish options.
Longtime favorite Carlsbad restaurant. Classy and cozy atmosphere inside with fantastic patio seating as well. The gnocchi and scallops are the favorite dishes of all time! Service is 10 stars along with a spectacular wine list. Come her to find that rare bottle of Screaming Eagle or just sip some fine Angel's Envy Bourbon.

Loved loved loved this place. What a fantastic little restaurant. Staff was wonderful the moment we were seated. Every cocktail to every appetizer, delicious. My companions didn't enjoy their French onion soup though. I got the salad instead, so I cannot comment. My scallops were great, every bite to the last. Highly recommend this restaurant to whoever is visiting. 10/10, would come back.

Very nice restaurant. Everything was spot on. The Special was a veal chop, which I got. Great taste, but little over done. Taste was spot on. The bartender was a little slow. Don't sit at the bar if you are in a hurry. I will return.

Great food unbelievably good. Service was excellent too. Go there and you won't be disappointed! On the expensive side.

Very very pricey for the results. Started off with their special version of French Onion soup. It was nothing like the regular brothy type but more like a thin porridge. Interesting but nothing to write home about. I've never had venison so Igave that a try. It was rather tough but maybe that is what venison is like. It didn't have a great amount of flavor. To start they brought each of individually a single piece of bread, not a basket. I thought it weird when I asked for more bread during dinner and they brought just me one more piece of bread, no one else.

Came upon the tasting room area that's connected to the restaurant but was able to have dinner here. It was nice and quiet with only two gentlemen at the bar area. Roxanne, our server, was very attentive and personable. We ordered off the "bar" menu which had smaller portions and it was perfect for us. I enjoyed the Duck Confit and hubby had the Angus burger, both prepared very well. We had a Zinfandel and Cabernet to accompany it. So glad we walked into the tasting room area instead of the restaurant.

I ate here about a year ago and forgot to write a review. Here's the thing. I am afraid to go back. It was the best meal top to bottom I have had in 50 years. I spent 20 of those working in the restaurant industry. I am concerned that they will not be able to replicate the experience. The server ( French Accent) was a psychic. He was only there when wanted. Knew the menu down to the details. Scallops and whatever they were served on was perfect. Crazy dessert with pistachio something or other. Anyway, thanks for the finest dining evening I have ever had. Sorry for the late review.

We had a great experience at Paon and will definitely come back. The service exceeded our expectations. Our server Eugene was very attentive but not intrusive. Eugene was friendly and highly professional and accommodating. The owner Steve was very personable and made us feel welcomed and comfortable. He came by our table, engaged with us, and gave us good recommendations! The food was amazing, very well seasoned and prepared to perfection. They also have a large wine selection and cocktails. Attached to the restaurant is a quaint wine bar/shop with live music on the weekends, large wine selection, and a cozy atmosphere! I highly recommend Paon and give Eugene a 5-star rating!

So this french place had overcooked bad steak for $$$ price. I hardly touched my dinner as you can see in the picture. Stay away from the steak. Also we were forced to dine outside for some reason. I didn't fight. Atten chef's here get some training on meat.

They were very accommodating to our vegetarian needs and our waiter was very knowledgeable about each of the dishes. Everything we had was incredible and the service was amazing.

Very mixed experience at this restaurant. I had a real estate closing today and I thought I would stop for some French Wine and caviar to celebrate. I am neighbors with the owner in the big yellow house.and he is always recommending that I come in. Boasts of amazing wine list. Upon entry to the patio I was immediately denied service because I had a small service dog. Mind you the patio is outdoors. Secondly, I asked to see the manager and showed my ADA service certifications. My dog has had over 200 hours of service training and is recognized under the American disabilities act. The manager was extremely rude and demanded that my dog stay under the table and reminded me that this is a Restaurant as if I was doing something wrong. I sat in the outside patio, ordered an expensive bottle of wine, champagne and caviar and did my best to have a nice experience. My server was very nice after the initial experience. This is a very small town, and this restaurant had about two other tables occupied. I wouldn’t be running people out of here if I were the management. Cheers!

Japanese restaurant
Blue Ocean Robata & Sushi Bar is a Japanese restaurant that serves up fresh sushi and seafood dishes in an unassuming setting. The restaurant stocks a robata grill which originated centuries ago when Japanese fishermen needed a way to cook on their boats, and the menu offers both sushi and seafood dishes as well as signature cocktails. The atmosphere is relaxing with low lighting, while the music Selection varies depending on the time of day or night.
The food was beyond delicious. My favorite was the chef specialty tempura roll. We sat at the sushi bar and the chef was very accommodating he made us a special roll that was absolutely wonderful. He even suggested a few things from the menu that were also very good. I would say that sitting at the bar our server only checked on us once. She didn’t top off our water or even come around to see if we needed anything else. However the food was so good I won’t let the poor attentiveness from our server affect the rating. It was a busy Saturday night and we hardly waited for food and didn’t wait to get seated. Over all I would certainly come back again and recommend to friends and family.

Awesome staff and the food was top notch! Our server helped us get a solid variety of rolls and delivered. Also it's a great vibe.

I got a roll with some sides with a friend. Although the seafood is fresh here the sauce is overpowering the natural flavor from the seafood. It's really sad. In some dishes the sauce is on the side so that's fine, but for oysters especially it got ruined by the super sour sauce. For me it's a bit too upscale for my taste but besides the sauce issue, it's a solid place.

Great first time dining experience. The atmosphere is warm n quaint, especially the covered patio dining with heaters. The menu choices are great. The sushi rolls presentation was as tasty as the actual sushi flavors. The kitchen menu with beef slices on hot plate at the table was both tasty and entertaining. The garlic edamame and gyoza were both tasty appetizers. It was impressive to see not only a Sake and wine list but also a whiskey list on the menu. The service was very professional n friendly. Emily was a great server who answered all our questions with patience and a smile. She was on top of it and made our dining experience a plus. We will definitely return to Blue Ocean for more pleasant dinners and I will recommend this place to others.

Fantastic experience on all fronts. Didn't have to wait too long for a table; we sat in the partially enclosed outdoor patio, which was very pleasant. Our party really enjoyed our drinks, from beer to sake to cocktails, and our appetizers, sushi, and entrees were excellent. I don't think that you could go wrong with anything on the menu here. Our server, Jay, was extremely friendly and attentive. Desserts were out of this world and very cool. Prices were very reasonable...you can pay a lot more for a lot less at other places. Can't wait to go back! Definitely a favorite among Carlsbad restaurants.

Absolutely crushed our expectations! The French Kiss was an absolute delight of flavors, The pork belly robata absolutely melted in our mouths, and the Summer roll (on its little skewers) was fresh and delightful. Even our dessert, the butterscotch pudding, was full of surprises. The addition of the black sesame seeds and the crushed cookies added so much complexity without taking anything away from a good, solid, creamy pudding. I did have to ding them one star on service though, as we went through our entire meal without receiving a single refill on our sodas. We didn't ask for one, but still, we shouldn't have to. Also, we asked for straws and they never arrived. Still, not enough to Mar the experience. 10/10 will come back.

Came on Mother’s Day and it was only a 20 minute wait. (Went to the grill down the street for a cocktail) The menu is large and prices soooo reasonable! The bao buns were great, and the sushi fresh. Lovely time and even though they were swamped we got good service.

All I can say is Wow!!! Such a tremendous experience visiting this restaurant. It's a bit pricey but you get a lot for what you order. It's a very comfortable environment with friendly people. The food, oh my goodness... it was truly amazing and I say this as a culinary artist. I ordered the deluxe sushi and I couldn't believe what I received -- just excellent. I was excited to know that they have a japanese beer there which was very difficult for me to find in many other restaurants/stores. Great job to the wait staff. They were very responsive and took great care of me.

Beautiful restaurant, amazing sushi rolls and not the tiny ones most places serve! The hotty hotty is well worth while! Everything was so good! We will return for sure!

It was not perfect. But that was because of how popular, and thus, busy it was. But the staff always smiled through the rush. Always diligent through my whole experience. After i asked for a sitting for one, I ended up stuffed at the corner of the bar, encroached by the bar straws and skewers. Not great, not perfect, but their attention was perfect, and so was their service. The hot stone yukiniku was pretty good, though the meat wasn't great. Lots of gristle. But well presented, and with good sauces. The yakiniku sauce should benefit from a little more mirin. I don't know if I'd recommend it, besides for show. The sashimi were the largest cut I've had in my life! Be sure to ask for it thinly sliced. Same amount too. Great selection of sake. I'm picky. All in all, I'd definitely frequent this place. The crowed is a crowed, and it's not a great place for a singles dinner. They also aren't in open table. But they must pay their staff well for them to be so amazing, or they need to start to.

Great selections for a vegetarian! Not often can I find a sushi bar that has multiple rolls, apps and dishes that are veg friendly. Delicious food, great drink options, fun atmosphere! Service was pretty slow but friendly! Will be back next time I'm in the area.

This has to be my favorite sushi place. The food is always good and I want to try all kinds of things every time I'm here. I got the Surf and Turf sushi roll with Yellowtail Sashimi and Baby Octopus. It was all so yummy 😋.

One of my fav sushi spots in town. Server was lovely and the atmosphere was great for a date. As seen in the photo: Albacore - Fresh and dynamic taste, spicy Caterpillar - Subbed the krab for spicy tuna and loved the straight forward flavor Madison - My fav roll, has a complex and fresh flavor with fatty toro Chefs Special - Comfort food with lots of spicy mayo

Been coming here for quite a few years and it’s consistently been the BEST sushi in Carlsbad, IMO. The quality and freshness of the fish is exceptional, the staff and atmosphere is excellent. On a busy night, it’s loud and packed, due to reasons above. 😝 My favorite dish, the screaming yellowtail. Absolutely decadent and punches you in the face with flavor.

Modern French restaurant
Restaurant
This modern French restaurant in Carlsbad brings a fresh new spin to classic french dishes with inventive twists like a la carte options and an absinthe tower. The ambiance is bursting with art deco style and vibes, making it the perfect spot for date night or any special occasion.
Amazing. By far the best restaurant I’ve been to in San Diego. The meal was 4 courses with surprises in between. I felt satisfied and $90 a person is a very fair price for what we enjoyed! The dishes were some of the most beautiful I’ve seen in my life. My favorite part was the sticky rice mango and basil dessert. Our server (whose name I’m forgetting) had moved here from Japan to take this job. He was intelligent and professional, offering helpful wine suggestions and explaining the menu well! If you haven’t already, book a reservation!

A 1-star Michelin French-inspired restaurant and it was amazing. You get 4-course meal with 3 or 4 selections on each course, as expected, it is pricey, but is worth every penny. The only thing to complain about is that despite our reservation, they made us wait about 20 min, but after the meal we had, it doesn't matter. Beautifully presented dishes and great flavors with texture and balanced all over. Just see the pictures to get a glance. Portions are actually not that small and filling. Greatness!

Fantastic dinner. Highlights were the scallop, duck, desserts, and cocktails (especially the gimlet). The service from the staff was excellent, but it was a slow meal. We were seated 15 minutes after our reservation, paid quickly after dessert, and ultimately left 2 hours and 15 minutes after our reservation time.

Jeune et Jolie earns its 5 stars in all categories! The staff and atmosphere are wonderful. It's amazing to see everyone working in sync throughout the open kitchen and seating area. The prix fix menu is limited, but the kitchen is very flexible, so my wife and I could order precisely to our desires. The leek appetizer and the sea bass entree were standouts, but everything was superb!! Congratulations to everyone at Jeune et Jolie for creating a fantastic dining experience!

Deserving of the Michelin star. No complaints. Really great service, the quality of the food, flavor, freshness, creativity are Michelin level. The open kitchen makes indoor seating even better. The drinks were excellent. We made our next reservation before we left.

What more can be said about Jeune et Jolie?? Our dinner was as world-class and and as truly excellent as ever. First time enjoying the Summer seasonal menu, but all the new iterations were spectacular. Feel quite thankful to have met Nate, our amazing, wonderful, and extremely knowledgeable waiter whose joy and outgoing nature made for a fun experience and really special evening. The white asparagus from Holland is not to be missed, the lobster and wagyu were beyond delicious, and the duck was a star of our meal. And the atmosphere-like always-was just right. And despite being so rightfully popular and satisfyingly busy, we did not feel rushed in any way and feel lucky to have been able to close our favorite bistro down that Friday night. If you have been before, then you know. And if you haven't, then I hope you soon have opportunity to try.

All I can say is wow! Jeune et Jolie never disappoints. We have been there four times now. They are so deserving of their Michelin Star. Service is outstanding, food and drinks are on point and simply the finest! The food is artwork at it's best. We thoroughly love dining at Jeune et Jolie. It's small and quaint! The pictures I am going to post speak for themselves. Jeune et Jolie is fit for us foodies and our foodie friends. We will be back!

Got to eat here for a birthday celebration. Everything was great; from the food to the service , it was dope . We all got the four course meal, I would fully recommend that you do the same. At the end of the meal we ordered an extra lobster course to share with another bread because it was just that good.

Only stopped in for drinks, but they alone merited a review. The ambience at Jeune et Jolie is impeccable- we enjoyed watching the chefs work in the open concept kitchen while we sipped on our drinks. We had both of the mock tails on the menu. The melon one was absolutely incredible, and the apricot one was great (truly) but maybe slightly less memorable. We didn’t have to wait at all for the bar, but I’m sure getting reservations for dinner is a different story. Excited to try their food some day (it all looked exceptional)

I worked in the service industry at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in SF And if I was younger I would loved to be part of this awesome restaurant. The whole experience was the best The food was beautiful to look at and the flavors were out of this world we had a server that was awesome personable and knowledgeable of the menu the wines, the Chef was personable friendly it is like going to a high end chefs table, you see the buzz in the kitchen, the whole experience was phenomenal.I will go there again God willing. I highly recommend this awesome restaurant.

What an amazing delicious experience we had last night 🌙 😋 it was perfect. I'll definitely be coming back. The food was delightful, and the service was prompt and friendly. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, and it was no stuffy and uncomfortable like other Michelin rated restaurants. I'd say that compared to Madison is similar quality and taste, but you get fewer courses, which is reflected on the price. Overall, I say I probably prefer this experience at jeune et jolie as all around it was very enjoyable.

I was super excited to try this restaurant especially after hearing they were awarded a Michelin star. The parking was easy since there's a large lot right behind the restaurant. For the menu, you chose from 3 or 4 options for each course of 4 courses. Everything I tried was excellent. We also started with some oysters, my favorite. The cocktails were also very tasty, try the fraise. The cheese course for dessert was interesting and delicious. We sat inside near the kitchen which was really fun to watch. Highly recommend!

No one goes into a Michelin starred restaurant with low expectations, but Jeune et Jolie managed to exceed ours anyway. Our server Nate was enthusiastic, friendly, and gave phenomenal descriptions of the menu items. He made us feel welcomed and special the entire time. We were celebrating a birthday, and the team went out of their way to recognize it, both verbally, and with a card and champagne. The support staff was also excellent, paying attention to all the details. My husband was practically chugging water after spending the day in the sun, but somehow, his glass was never once empty. Of course, all of the food was phenomenal. There wasn't a bad item on the menu - everything was meticulously placed for both aesthetic and flavorful perfection. I even tried some foods I don't typically enjoy like oysters and tomatoes, and each one turned out to be great choices. Several of the menu items were seasonally themed and sounded like they were added recently, so I'd imagine if you returned regularly, there would always be something new to try. And the extra mini-courses that were brought between our choices were great surprises and a very nice touch! Finally, we really appreciated that every member of the team seemed to genuinely enjoy their job. You could see into the open kitchen, where everyone waa clearly keeping busy and doing their best. But it also seemed common to see people smiling at each other, after maybe making a joke or just enjoying what they were doing.

Enjoyed a lovely four-course dining experience (with some surprise add-ins) in a welcoming, friendly and sophisticated environment celebrating my birthday. Thank you to our lovely serving/bartending staff for the conversation and fun time! Also helped that the courses were amazing too 🥰

My husband and I had a magical experience for our anniversary. Incredible attention to detail. The food was amazing. We don’t usually do tasting menus anymore because the food tends to be a bit too experimental at many places but here it was inventive yet approchable. The service was impeccable and the food was coursed out perfectly.

Our second ever Michelin star restaurant, on the same trip! I wish I could give 10 stars. A four course dinner that you pick from a couple choices. My SO and I, each ordered something different so we could experience more. Everything was just...wow. So decadent an delicious, I loved every single bite. We also got the wine pairi with each of our courses. We mentioned we were celebrating an anniversary in our reservation and got a complimentary amuse-bouche. And the check came with these little chocolates . It was a fantastic experience!

One of the Michelin experience, left much to be desired. The course design was a letdown, with appetizers and desserts shining, but main dishes falling flat. Despite a great vibe and excellent service, the mismatch in food presentation was disappointing, especially considering the high price.

My wife and I came to this restaurant for our anniversary. It is definitely one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. I can best describe the experience as taking part in a story about your food. All of the servers took great care to describe until you about the food you were either about to order or about to eat. They had several different people come around and describe the wines that my wife paired with her food. Each of the courses delivered just such a broad depth of flavors. Thank you to all the fantastic staff! Especially Chris, our server!

We celebrated our anniversary and Jeune et Jolie made our experience very memorable. We selected a heated patio instead of a standard seating. The noise lever is much higher inside, closer to the bar, so we are happy about selecting the patio. The table was a bit smallish, but we managed. Our drinks and tasting menu dishes were yummy and almost too pretty to eat. The staff were accommodating, everyone acknowledged our special day, gave us a card signed by different members, started us with a surprise bubbly and ended with little “present” sweets. We definitely recommend this place for special occasions.

We had the finest dining experience of our lives! Flavor, service, presentation, ambiance are all 5 star and above. The veal tartar is by far the best dish I have ever tasted in my life. We sat at the bar and had Christian as our server. He is excellent and charming. The kitchen is in full view from the bar. We really enjoyed the view and also interacting with our server. If you don't enjoy that sort of experience there are many lovely options in the dining room and outside.

Seriously, this is one of the best restaurants in the area. In fact, I’d consider it a contender to one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. I think it is well deserving of Michelin star. The food that you will have here is very creative, delicious, and I’d say reasonably priced considering it’s a Michelin star restaurant. The creativity that is seen here goes all the way, and does not compromise how the food tastes. Often times, high-end restaurants will sacrifice taste for presentation. This restaurant delivers in both taste and presentation. Service is some of the best I’ve seen. Wait staff are trained and well-versed with their menu. They even follow certain paths as to not cause congestion in the restaurant. As for the atmosphere, considering the space, it’s not the most beautiful setting for a restaurant, but it offers a relaxed, cozy vibe. Food - 20/20 Service - 10/10 Atmosphere - 7/10 Total - 37/40 - must go!!

I recently visited Jeune et Jolie, a Michelin-starred French restaurant located in Carlsbad, California, and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed. The restaurant’s nouvelle-French cuisine is a delightful blend of flavors and textures that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. The presentation of each dish is a work of art, and the service is prompt and attentive. The ambiance is cozy and elegant, making it the perfect place for a romantic dinner or a special occasion. The prix fixe menu with wine pairings is inventive, healthy, fresh and delicious. The wine pairings are also great and compliment the dishes perfectly. The restaurant has a small space, so seating can be limited, but the attention to detail and the customer is first-rate. Based on my experience, I would rank Jeune et Jolie third among the five Michelin-starred restaurants I’ve been to due to not having more “between course” items and also no memorabilia to take with you on your travels.

Excerpts from my partner's descriptions of the food: "Like a quick 1-2 punch, but with aftercare." "Eating this feels like the softest fluffiest down comforter and watching a silly movie. I'm gonna be disappointed when we get into bed and pull a blanket over us and it isn't pork." "Why does this make me feel like a child who was loved by her parents?" "You know how when you see potpourri and kind of want to eat it? This is what you wish potpourri tasted like." Honestly some of the best food I've ever had, and the wine pairing was perfect for every single course. The service was perfect, and sitting inside where we could see the kitchen made for a fantastic experience. Can't say enough good things about this place. What a fantastic evening.
