This is a wonderfully curated garden. While not as expansive as the downtown botanical garden it still is a great place to spend a morning or afternoon. Nice meandering path and wooded nature trails along with a cute children's garden. We visited during a Lego sculpture in the gardens exhibit which was pretty amazing.

We visited at the end of October. The gardens are really beautiful. The children's garden is interactive. We feel like this is money well spent because we get to spend time in nature and are contributing to this beautiful area. We will return again.

Great growing garden, it was a very pleasant trip! Not sure if it is travel hour worthy but if you are in town def worth a visit. We went March 30 and the azaleas on paved path in bloom but the ones in trees still dormant. Tulips starting to play out. Phlox and candy tuft have couple more weeks. The hydrangea like plant was in full bloom. A few columbine in bloom as well as iris and hyachyth. Nice little stroll , plan to return when in town again
Daniel Messick — Google review
The garden was beautiful but my friend and I came a few weeks too early I think. Not everything was blooming yet but it was still beautiful and not as crowded as the garden in the heart of Atlanta. I will definitely be back soon once spring is in full bloom.
Elisha Irving — Google review
Although smaller than the one in Atlanta, it's still packed with many things to see and well-maintained. The amphitheater, mini waterfalls and fountains, creative sculptures, nature trails, labeled floral displays, and playground for children are just some of the highlights. There's a gift shop inside the entrance center and a drink bar just outside by the pond with plenty of seating to enjoy the view. There's plenty of parking available and admission per adult is around $14. I'd give yourself at least 2 hours to see everything. Bring a camera!
Seth Sorano — Google review
Such a beautiful garden to visit. Easy entry for reciprocal members, friendly staff throughout, well kept gardens, interesting special exhibits, a fun children's garden with a splash area, crafts, wood building home, and playground. My only complaint is that the button for the train didn't work, hope it's fixed soon. Take the hidden trails on the way to the children's garden, it adds a little more fun to the whole experience.
Portia Olaughlin — Google review
My family has been members of the Botanical Garden for year's! We usually go to the Atlanta location, but this time we had an adventure visiting the Gainsville location. We chose to visit because of the nature exhibit feature custom Lego builds. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming! The day we visited was an over cast day with the chance of sprinkles. Even with a cloudy day the garden andd grounds were beautiful! You can tell that everyone cares about the garden. Also, the playground was in immaculate condition and clean! It was definitely worth the drive! Here are some pictures from our adventure!

Great gardens without the hustle and bustle of the city. They have cocktails in the garden on the 1st saturday of month for members. It was very pleasant! Great place to unwind. Beautifully kept.

Boutique-style botanical gardens with a little something to offer for everyone. Not as big as it’s sister in greater Atlanta area, but still has a lot of beauty to offer. Clean, simple and endearing. My husband and I are members and enjoy visiting and seeing the changes Mother Nature makes.
Sonja Ostendorf — Google review
Although not as big as the Atlanta gardens, the gardens here are quite lovely. I particularly liked the Woodland Garden. If you are stumped on what to plant in your shaded backyard, this is the place for you. Easy paved trails. They will start concerts in the park next year.

Great visit and an awesome Halloween display. Had fun painting the little pumpkins. Definitely have them on my agenda to visit again for other events.

Amazing Botanical Garden!!! Excellent time with my husband. We walked around and saw a lot of species of butterflies and plants. We made the trail what a wonderful day. The location was perfect and the garden was clean and looks people cares about them. Check all my photos and you will see how much you will need to pay. I can guarantee you, that we need to visit and help them keep this wonderful place to us.

Wow this is a hidden gem. It’s beautiful and clean. The trails are easy to walk some of them have pavement. The bathrooms are clean and they have ac and heater as well. We found a place near the trail facing the lake and we decided lay back and listen to nature. I hope everyone does their part of picking up after themselves. We need to conserve our beautiful nature. I will definitely be coming back.

One of the best state parks in GA👍. The staffs and hosts are so friendly and supportive. The campground is super clean and super well maintained, bathrooms and laundry rooms have nothing to complain. I know it’s the youngest in the state, but still very impressed with its beauty and all family friendly features for all ages. We camped here for 5 days, enjoyed hiking, biking and boating and more, love this wonderful place so much and already added it on my revisiting list for near future.
Xiaohong D. — Google review
Very clean bathrooms, beautiful trees, nice picnic areas. Most campsites were closer than what we enjoy, signage needs work, unclear. Beach area would be great in the summer!
LISA GANES — Google review
Wonderful park! Very clean. Playground still under construction but the kids were able to use what wasn't roped off. The campground is very nice, large enough for us with a 37' 5th wheel. We had a spot right next to the lake, so we had a lake view for the winter. I'm summer you won't see the lake but if you walk down the trail next to our site it leads to a floating dock with a nice view! Staff at check in were very nice and helpful. Trails are very nice and if you take the woodland loop you'll pass a little gnome village that people add to. Can't wait to camp here again.
Melissa Dobson — Google review
Nice park. Good for picnics, Birthday and family gatherings. You and your family are definitely going to have a last time here. Good for weekend Castle water fun.
MD Hassan — Google review
What a beautiful experience! The park is very well maintained. First class! The lake was clean and cool and fresh. No powerboats were allowed in the area where swimmers were. Paddle boats and kayaks are available for rent. The children's areas roped off so they can be safe. As a family we can't wait to go back and enjoy this beautiful park again. Plenty of parking close to the swimming area.
J Wattam — Google review
Beautiful state park. Friendly staff. Located within an hour away from Anna Ruby Falls, Brasstown bald, Amicalola fall, and Helen Town. Clean bathrooms and showers. There is no heat in the bathroom and showers. It has playgrounds, a boat ramp, and a beach. It is dog friendly place. A park to consider for a trip during summertime. We wanted to extend our stay, but the park was booked. It's definitely another great Georgia State Park.
Ayleen Oriel — Google review
Great place to stretch you legs through walking, hiking or biking. Me up with the grandparents for a sunny afternoon stroll on the most resent visit. We have also camped here in the past the regular campground is good, but the walk-in sites are fantastic! Come and enjoy!
Stephen Beall — Google review
I absolutely love this park. It's so peaceful and beautiful and it's usually quiet and not that busy at all. There are lovely walking paths, both paved and dirt, along the main park areas and throughout the woods. I take my dogs here all the time and they love it as well. The playgrounds and facilities are really clean and the whole place is well maintained. Definitely worth a visit!
Elisabeth Hardeman — Google review
Beautiful State Park and well maintained and numerous pavilion areas available for family get together. Beach is huge and kaiak and paddleboat rentals
James Burrow — Google review
My family stayed in cottage 6 for 3 nights. Everything was great except for the smoke alarm in kitchen. It sounded off anytime any steam was released while cooking. The cottage was clean and well stocked with towels, etc. Lots of wildlife to see on walks/hikes. We enjoyed our stay.
Howard Rowe — Google review
Definitely a more recent state park for Georgia, you can tell. The visitor center is very large very modern and has a very friendly staff. The bathrooms were very clean and well-maintained. There are ample hiking trails as well as equestrian trails all throughout the park. The overlook Trail does not actually give you an overlooked anything. Lol however, it is a very short walk from the visitor center and has wings along the path. There is an enormous amount of camping here from RVs and tents. They are everywhere. An Excellent State Park.
Shawn Toole — Google review
Sometimes I like to head into the woods for a few hours to be and explore. This is a great place for that, with miles of trails that take you through wooded and water areas. Definitely take a map as it can get a bit confusing. You can see the blazes have recently been replaced. The side in the visitor center has some shorter more accessible trails, but on the other side where the horses go is where you access the rest. It can also be a little tricky your first time. Go to the back of the parking area, near the bathrooms, and walk down the path you can see in the picture to get to the trailhead.
Angelika Shelley — Google review
Nice but noisy. Leaf blowers in October, train tracks across the lake with trains going day and night, municipal airport nearby, and you can hear the highway traffic as well. It is very clean with lots of camping options. Hiking trails are mostly level and easy to traverse. I had a good stay, but probably won't return because of all the noise.
Malcolm Gillis — Google review
Stayed overnight at Cabin 5. Wonderful experience! The cabin is clean with plenty of supplies; towels, kitchen items, etc. Place is spacious. We stayed in summer. There's no lighting to the deck so if you plan to use the BBQ grill (there's one for each cabin) bring extra lights. Easy to check in even after hours. The process is very simple and easy to follow. There were so many hikes and the beach was extra fun. Children's play areas were not occupied and were missing some items making them impossible to use. Overall, nice relaxing time and worth the cost!
Manjula Dharmawardhana — Google review
beautiful park with lots of hardwood trees, hiking trails, lake, campground, and cottages. We stayed at the campground. The spots are a little small, so larger RV's are a tight fit. I think all the spots are paved except for the tent camping areas. The campground is very clean and very good condition. The are many hiking trails, but bikes are not allowed on the trails. There are nice playground area for kids. Dogs are allowed on leash.

Don Carter is a really nice park and the only state park located on Lake Lanier in Hall County, (Gainesville) Georgia. Stayed at the campground and bathrooms are super clean. There’s quite a bit to see and do. Fishing, hiking 🥾 kayaking 🚣‍♀️ — multiple playground areas, horseback riding, boating, and the beach is awesome. Love the tall pines, primitive campground, the paved trail and the lake is beautiful. Met a lot of nice people. Will add the park to my ‘circle back in the early spring/summer list.’ Had a great time. 🌞🏕🏃🏾‍♀️🏊🏽‍♀️🛶🏖🚴🏾‍♀️🛥🐎🥾🐟🎣🍃🚶 #FriendsOfGeorgiaStateParks #SupportYourLocalStateParks #HappyPlaces❤️

My 3-year loved this place-- from the market, bank, and even airport. This is a great place for parents to just play with their children ( 2 hours straight) without any interruptions and have some much needed quality time. Will definitely be going back soon.

My wife and I got to bring our niece and nephew here and it was pretty neat. The idea is really cool! Some of the areas are very creative and some could use improvement. It was fun to watch the kids get lost in imagination, something it feels like we as adults lose years ago and need to get back. I didn't really care so much for the Halloween decor at the time we visited, but that's just me. The lady at the front was nice, and the kids had a great time.

I took my two youngest grandchildren here, and they had a blast. It was amazing. It is set up so creatively and life like. I would highly recommend this place to everyone with young children.

Great place to bring 2-10 year olds. My 3 year old twin grandsons had a blast. You must buy tickets for a particular two hour play session. I suggest you arrive on time; We used all two hours for the boys play time. So much fun!

My son loves it here! I’ve been taking him since he was a little over a year old. Now he’s two and enjoys it even more since he’s able to enjoy more of the rooms. The weekends are very busy, but that’s to be expected.

So much fun for little ones! Took my grandson here to celebrate his 2nd birthday with family. He loved going to each station…pretending to grocery shop, fly an airplane, fish in a boat, play musical instruments, take care of dogs in vet. Highly recommend!

This was my/our first time at INK. We went on a field trip w/ my sons school. The kids had a blast!!! It was a bit different than I thought it was going to be but absolutely worth the money!! Everything is interactive, but it's old school interactive & the kids seemed to really enjoy all the hands-on activities!! It's so much better than all of the technology stuff crammed down their brains every day!!! They have a gift shop, which is slightly addicting lol. We are going back as a family in 2 wks!!
Bailey Summerour — Google review
Always a joy, blast and overall one of our favorite places to dwell...spend the day. However they no longer allow full day passes which is a huge disappointment and could be a financial challenge to pay for a new session since we travel so far to enjoy INK and we do not know of any nearby parks. Been visiting for over 10 years and has yet to get old. Thanks INK.
TQC — Google review
This was our first time here and we expected it to be similar to the children’s museum of Atlanta. My six year old enjoyed the wide range of interactive spaces. Unfortunately, we came during a peak time so it was rather crowded and hard for him to fully enjoy everything offered. I also noticed that a lot of props or toys were missing or in the wrong areas so it made it hard for him to play.
Jessica Milo — Google review
Ink was an amazing time that both my daughters loved. There were so many professions that had built out rooms for the kids to imagine and play. We spent 2 hours there and didn't make it close to doing everything ink had to offer. It truly is a gem in the area, and I wish we had something similar in chicago.
James O'Shea — Google review
Granddaughter loved this place. Who knew it was even there? Found it by googling, by chance. Place is cute, not overcrowded, and I loved the free play the kids could do. Make sure you look at their website for the blocks of time the kids can play. They are in 2 hour blocks. It's more than enough time. Only thing I didn't like was that people can walk in and out freely. Adults can walk in and out freely. Kids can walk in and out freely. Didn't seem as secure as it could be. There aren't any wristbands or stamps to make sure you belong there, but it's a fun, out of the way place to take your kids and a small fee of $9 per person.
Michele Nilsson — Google review
Perfect place to take Children of all ages! They have a preschool section for toddlers and babies 👶 It's the perfect place to go when you need to get out of the house with the kids! Memberships are a great deal and it feels so safe. Most of all its very clean !

My son loved this place. One star removed because many items did not work / hadn't power (police car lights didn't work, buttons on train set did nothing, screens were turned off.) A single repair day would make a huge difference.
Drew Pinkney — Google review
Visited this children's museum while in the area and I was pretty impressed by the size and vast number of experiences inside. We've visited quite a few children's museums around the country and this one was in great condition with so many details I typically don't see from the salon with a hairdryer to the dentist office with a large toothbrush, it was amazing. There's so much, I can't even detail all of it. I walked through everything but my kids never even made it to the other side where the recording studio, puppet theatre and airport are. It was all brilliant! There's even a factory with a quality control experience so your child can kind of get to see what it might be like working at Amazon or a packing plant. What a fantastic job bringing to life so many real jobs and services we need and use daily. I would go out of my way to return here again and next time I'll plan ahead to create in the art studio as well. If you're a member of a reciprocal children's museum, you get half off but either way, it's pretty affordable.

Next to The Rock in Gainesville, if you start off on this end you will start off on the playground side and make your way over to downtown Gainesville, ending at Rock Creek Veterans park. It says it is 2.2 miles, 99% of it which is nicely paved, no bumps or surprises on the concrete. Plenty of shade and stopping areas where you can stop and rest if needed. You are walking through a residential area for part of it so some dogs may go barking. The path is wife enough on most spots for pets to walk across without bumping into anyone. That I'm aware of, there are no restrooms. Check out the full video at Roli Hikes if you'd like to watch my thoughts with my trusty Dobie Asha! https://youtu.be/Td1yT_TXK88?si=OW8MVNSjvjSppSJ4

Very beautiful park. Very nice views, picnic tables, trails and great playground. Some of the trails were confusing because I didn't really understand where they're leading us to but they really just make a loop it's a very nice way to get all your steps done. And I learned how to drive a ripstick here so just be careful to not fall off the trails because there is some steep areas that I almost fell off of.

My grandkids love to play at Wilshire Trails! With over five miles of trails, a playground, and plenty of open space, it's the perfect spot to explore nature. The trails wind through the woods, providing a chance to see wildlife up close. And the playground is always a hit with the kids. They can swing, slide, and climb to their hearts' content. Plus, there's plenty of room to run around and burn off all that energy. So next time you're looking for a place to take the kids, be sure to check out Wilshire Trails. Also, during the holidays they have a great light display.

My daughter and I love creek hunting here. We always find glass and cool rocks for our shelf of treasures! She did have a tumble on the path due to the uneven concrete on the path that goes up hill. She's ok and we still love the park but it would be safer with even pathways for kids on scooters.
Mari Schwartzwalder — Google review
Probably ( definitely ) the nicest trail in Gainesville. If you haven't been, please go check it out. Anyone who's been to Wilshire Trail agree ?

Absolutely stunning trail. Easy walk for kids and adults alike. The scenery is beautiful and the trail is well-shaded. If you like nature you need to check this place out. Can’t wait to go during the fall!
Katlyn Simmons — Google review
Awesome park, great playground with trees around the playground area for parents to relax in the shade (actual playground equipment is not shaded for the most part). Bathrooms are kind of gross, better than the last time I was there, but smelled like someone had peed all over the walls and the restroom cleaning log showed that it hadn't been cleaned in over a week. On a positive note, the walking trails are paved and great for a family walk or even a run. There is an interactive story for the kids to follow along with as they walk. The Hall County Master Gardeners keep up a lot of the landscaped areas and do a great job. Definitely worth a relaxing visit if you are in the area!

Amazing little park with a nice playground and great walking trails! Wonderful wooded scenery and nature all around you. A butterfly/hummingbird garden sits near the playground, which is great to look at, and a beautiful little creek runs throughout the park and trails. They took the time to add stonescapes and bridges and bird houses throughout, and even book exchange boxes/"libraries" can be found throughout the park, which I thought was so cool. Too bad most of those were vandalized with the doors being ripped off, but aside from that, this is a very quiet and peaceful place. Love coming here early mornings with my dog for a walk.

It’s a nice trail, with water streams and big trees. I liked that there’s picnic tables around if you want to have a nice picnic or just sit. It’s a nice way to get active outdoors with the families

My daughter (3 years old) and I just love this park. There is a great playground for the kids, wonderful walking trails that are well shaded on those hot sunny days where you want to be outside and enjoy nature but you need to be in the shade for it to be enjoyable. There is also a creek here that is great for dipping your feet in to cool off. Just a really nice neighborhood sort of park.

A very cute farm and market. We went and had a great time looking at all the pumpkins available. They also have a large nursery with trees, bushes, and flowers. Our son really enjoyed the farm there with cows, goats, pigs, horses, and llamas. We're looking forward to going back during Christmas time to get our Christmas tree.

My 3yo daughter and I discovered the farm last Fall and fell in love! Beautiful property, amazing pumpkin selection, animals to feed, friendly staff and FREE except for the goods you are buying. It’s so close that she begged me to go atleast once a week which was fine with me too! We were there on opening day this year and they have the same great items and people, although my daughter was disappointed about no tractor this year because she loved feeding the catfish but I’m pretty sure this was caused by outside circumstances out of their control because of the “mask complaints” in 2020🙄😣

Hello pumpkin season... Kinsey Family Farms is such a nice family farm and nursery. They have such a large amount of pumpkins, in all shapes, sizes, colors and types. There is also a room with local honey, apple cider, jams and apple/pumpkin butters. They also have a petting farm with goats, and a nursery with beautiful shrubs, trees, flowers, and mums. Christmas is coming, and so are their trees, so don't forget to check them out.

Such a FUN experience!!! This is our first year getting our family Christmas tree at this farm and it’s now going to be a tradition! The kids made s’mores, we took a tractor ride around the property and had a great time! If you haven’t been here, you’re missing out!🎄

This is a wonderful family friendly place! The process of getting a tree is painless. Pick a tree, cut it down (or get one of the employees to cut one for you), then they transport it, wrap it up and tie it to your car (inside or outside). They also offer hot drinks, wreaths, pumpkins, s'mores, bread products, honey, tractor rides and a farm where you can view some farm animals.

Seafood restaurant
Atlanta Hwy Seafood Market is a popular eatery that specializes in Cajun cuisine, offering dishes such as étouffée, gumbo, and po' boys. What sets this place apart is its attached fish market, where customers can purchase the freshest seafood available. Situated next to a laundry mat and across from a transmission shop, it has gained a reputation for serving the highest quality food in Gainesville.
This is my go to seafood restaurant in Gainesville GA. So glad they survived COVID. Been here four or fives times and never have had a bad meal. I will be the first to admit it isn't much to look at due to the decor, very simple but the seafood is awesome. Better then Fish Tails (which is very good in its own right) and blows Red Lobster out of the water.
Jeb Napier — Google review
The PO boy was big, with a lot of fried shrimps and toasted bread. It was fine, but I got an upset stomach after eat it (maybe the mix between that oil and the cold drink) The seafood plate was good, but no delicious. The onions were not totally cooked, and the grilled oysters were almost raw (at least they were big) I would prefer them in the shell and a little more cooked. For those two things, 2 drinks and 1 coleslaw the total was 50.

After visiting a local distillery. It was recommended to have lunch here. The recommendation was well given…. fresh seafood market that also serves a variety of seafood selections from a menu. If you prefer you can pick out your fresh catch and they will fry it for you on the spot. Food was very good. Staff was very nice.

What a fantastic find!!! Stopped here for lunch and so happy we did. Love fresh seafood and this place was a goldmine of fresh seafood selections. Had the crawfish etouffee in the large size and was like being back in New Orleans! My friend had the swordfish and said it was equally as good. Will definitely be back to try other menu items. 😋

We have been wanting to check this place out after it was recommended by a friend, let me tell you, it was worth the 2 hour drive! This place has some of the best seafood around that I have found since I moved here from the MS Gulf Coast. The whole experience from start to finish was excellent, the food and service was a 10 out of 10, if you want great seafood, then this is the place! We will be definitely visiting again.
Joey Lovoie — Google review
This place is located next to a laundry mat and across the street from a transmission shop and it's the highest quality food in Gainesville. I've been coming here for almost 15 years and I've never had a bad experience. It used to be a hidden gem in Gainesville, but word got out and everyone knows it's the most fresh fish available anywhere more than a few miles from a beach. The quality is amazing and is always cooked to perfection. I usually get one of the blackened fish because the flavor is so perfect. The red beans and rice, crawfish etouffee, and pretty much any side are fantastic. If you've never been here, go today.

The person behind the counter that took our order was patient, informative, and professional. We got the ceviche, calamari, and scallop tacos for lunch. Everything was seasoned well and tasted fresh. I will be coming here for seafood for now on vs the other place down the street. Overall, everything was really good.
Gregory Jakes — Google review
Service was quick enough I couldn't finish a cigarette before my plate showed up. Fries are crisp and tender. Piled up enough to make you proud. Hish puppies are perfect. Couple of corn kernels to let you know they care. Cole slaw is rather bland to my tastes. Could use more color from carrots or red cabbage, more flavor from something that provides it. 5 pieces of a proud sized fried shrimp. OMG they're spectacular. You can two or three bite em and be just as happy with the mouth stuffing one bite. They need no dipping, but I'll do it anyway... Cocktail sauce, and tartar sauce are both bland, but in their defense, they take nothing away from the best fried shrimp I've ever had. I can't fault this meal about that. 5 Fried oysters of a good size, with spice flecks and a sultry smile. It's like biting into a crispy cloud. The crust is complementary, not cumbersome. The oyster is so soft and tender. Absolutely delicious. No dipping here. The flavor is too subtle for even a bland sauce. I can only dream of what these folks can do with a fried chicken liver. I notice there's no wait staff hovering over me, as the bussers are quick to clear tables. These folks know from quality service. Atmosphere is family, quit, and inviting. Ages span the little girl laughing at herself, to the elder couple bragging on their selections. Conclusions? Price: Shrimp & Oyster Dinner, $21, and $1 for my root beer. Great, flavorful value. Food Quality: Awesome for what I came here for, bland on the extras. But as flavorful and filling as the main was, the extras are superfluous. Staff: Attentive, not botheringly obsessed. They must be well aware the food sells itself. Recommendation: Highest. Quality and quantity at this price, in these times, is to be applauded.

If you love seafood the way it is meant to be cooked, this is your place, is it's not right they fix it. Everything that is fried is done so lightly and not greasy at all. Their grilled and blackened items ate awesome. This is the top place for calamari, and I've eaten it at a lot of paces of the coast, all fail to compare to this one! The owners and staff are awesome and accommodating. It's a hole in the wall restaurant in the middle of unexpected, but it's out of this world for quality and taste!

This is my favorite place to eat in Gainesville. The seafood is always delicious. Today I had my favorite a blackened scallop and fried oyster combo with green beans. The standard with this is cole slaw and fries but I prefer the green beans. I have had a number of things from the menu all of them equally as good. Catfish, redfish, royal reds, gumbo, fried clams, fried shrimp and much more. I like that you can eat on the patio year round.

Atlas Pizza is a no-frills cafe space that offers specialty pies, subs, wings, wraps, and beer. Visitors rave about the thick and generously topped pizzas like the Supreme and Nuts About Thai. The homemade sauce and dough are particularly praised. The friendly staff adds to the positive experience in this cute park square location with shops and restaurants nearby. Customers recommend trying something new from their diverse menu, such as The Jerk calzone or the special pepperoni and peppers pizza.
Omgggg. The service was great. The workers stsyed productive and made sure to check on us. We had the breadsticks and pizza with pepperoni spinach and mushrooms. The crust is to die for. The cheese was great. I recommend to anyone.

If you're in the area looking for pizza, this is a good place to stop. My husband and I shared two pizzas: - Medium Half Nuts About Thai, Half The Sheppard Pizza - Medium Half Philly Cheese Steak, Half Loaded Potato Pizza This was enough for some leftovers too. My favorite was the Sheppard followed by the Loaded Potato. I wanted more peanut sauce on the Thai.

Very good thick crust pizza, good flavor and sauce.I came back a second time and had the philly dip sub, the meat was dried out and somewhat tough.

Atlas Pizza is such a nice experience. Great pizza in a cute restaurant in downtown Gainesville. Jessie our waitress was a GEM! She was a ray of sunshine and the best service we've had in a long time. Also the potato pizza is a must try! So unique and delicious. I would absolutely go again!

Love it but them bathrooms had inches of dust build up 😏 and you can tell men/women stood up to p P because it was all over the place. I just held it, too short to squat over a toilet. The eating area was dark so to be honest I don't know how clean the dining area was but the food and service was great! 😛🥰🤣😂 no dirt hurt me b4.

First time experiencing Atlas. New to the area and if you are near- I highly recommend! We had the Meat and Supreme Specialty pizza’s as well as a Philly Cheese Steak sub for my son. Flavors were fantastic! Try it out!

Venture outside the norm and try something new - we ordered we ordered take out of four medium pizzas for 3 small kids and six adults. We had the Pesto, Sheppard, Philly, and Greek - all had no red sauce - and we greatly enjoyed them!! It was a good amount of food per person.

Amazing pizza, piled high with toppings and my wife loved the bread sticks. This goes in my top pizza places easily! We only made it halfway through a medium pizza because of how loaded each slice is so plan accordingly. Definitely a must visit!

Everyone inside this restaurant has a great personality and treated me so well. The best customer service and pizza I’ve ever had! Highly recommend the Philly cheesesteak pizza.

the Meat pizza was incredible! the pepperoni calzone was also suuper good. you probably are going to need a reservation but its very easy to do thru their website. 100% reccomend!

Atlas Pizza has the BEST Calzones around! I’ve been meaning to post this review for awhile because it is absolutely deserving of 5 Stars! Whoever makes these, is an absolute artist in the kitchen! When this monster hit the table I was already asking for a to-go box lol! You get so much for your money with this one. It was so flavorful and the crust was cooked to perfection! I didn’t mind having leftovers for the next day!

The pizza is awesome, and they have a gluten pizza. The Greek salad is an award winner! I live close by on the lake, so convenient. Love to sit at a sidewalk table.

This place comes highly recommended. We managed to get a table outside without having to wait too long. Service was excellent (thanks Jamie) and so too was the amazing food. We ordered a 'The Jerk' calzone and a special pepperoni and peppers pizza and both knocked it out of the park. We will definitely be back.

We had a quick lunch outside on the patio area. Service was friendly and quick, and our pizza was delicious. We got an oil based pepperoni and spinach pizza. Crust was immaculate - soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside.

The best pizza I’ve had in years! The bbq chicken pizza was bomb, and our side salad with the house made ranch was amazing. We will definitely be back soon!

Wow - Wow - WOW The best pizza I've EVER had & I'm over 50. Had the Supreme & a salad. The pizza itself was so thick, but with the toppings not the crust! Cooked evenly & fresh. Home made sauce & dough were so good. The staff, especially the lady with short blonde hair (hubby manages kitchen) - was so helpful, friendly & knew it was our first time. Located in a cute park square with shops/ restaurants. We will definitely go back there next year when we travel through Lake Lanier

Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen is a family-friendly chain that offers classic American cuisine with a Texan twist, along with delicious cocktails. The establishment provides a warm and inviting atmosphere, maintaining cleanliness throughout its seating area. The food served is exceptional, and the drinks are outstanding as well. With affordable prices, Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen remains dedicated to providing a memorable dining experience for all customers.
Casual dining. Consistent great food. My favorite is the chicken fingers. Had ribeye last night and it was very good with steamed broccoli. No big deal but states diet Dr Pepper on the menu, no go. Only Coke Zero. Wait staff is Courteous. Facility is clean. If your looking for comfort food steak and gravy, note ask for the Texas toast on the side, if not they put it under the steak and it’s soggy.

My parents were visiting and wanted to try this place. I got the lemon pepper chicken with rice, broccoli casserole and green beans. My dad got the pot pie with broccoli casserole and my mom got the pecan chicken salad. The food was great, came out fast, but what stood out the most was our server. I can’t remember his name but he was made to work with the public.

Good experience. The croissant 🥐 test good. For appetizer we order shrimp 🍤 buffalo and was good, super tender good flavor. Entree’s: ribs with fries and broccoli casserole. Was good but the ribs was little cold and the fries don’t test fresh. Drinks we order the pine apple one with coconut and a regular margarita. The drinks don’t test bad but test like pre make drinks, the margaritas test like lime juice from concentrate. The dessert we order a cheesecake, honesty I don’t like it, to hard, the sauce to watery, I prefer more creamy cheesecake. But is just my opinion. The server was good. She does a good job. The atmosphere was good. We will be back.

First off: Brandon you did an awesome job. You get the 5 stars! It was Wednesday at around 1pm 01/12/2022.:no one greeted us at door. You were all by yourself at that time, you were both bartending and serving food to restaurant area. You did an amazing job. The restaurant and seating area was clean. Food was great. The drinks were awesome to! Prices affordable. I will reiterate, the 5 stars go to Brandon. He smiled and was extremely courteous. Thank you Brandon!!! See pictures of restaurant, food and drinks.

HIT-OR-MISS... My wife and I met here as wait staff almost 10 years ago. We like to come every once in a while fir nostalgia. I brought my family and guest in a few weekends ago and it was fantastic. Then we came twice more in the last week and it's been pathetic both times. So it's very hit or miss. I ordered a pain killer, bacon cheeseburger with fries and broccoli casserole. My wife ordered a burger as well. My pain killer never showed up (went to bathroom and out to vape and my drink was still sitting at the bar both occasions. I asked the bar tender if it was my drink and he confirmed (did not offer to have drink sent to table). The restaurant was absolutely not busy and mostly empty on a Thursday eve. Our burgers and fries came out horrible. Burger was old and grayish colored mostly black burnt bacon. Fries were half cooked and half raw like they put 20lb of fries in fryer at once. My wife's red bean casserole was like licking a salt block. I never saw the presence of a manager at all. The first time we came a female manager came by table to check on us, not the next the visits. This place needs a good deep cleaning, The walls are coated in splattered food and the tables are permanently sticky and makes you feel yucky. There are some unsavory characters working as servers. I almost came home and applied for a manager position here just so I can clean house... get this place straightened out and stop wasting people's hard earned money. And earn Gainesvilles trust back. Because as of now I don't trust Cheddars anymore... what are you gonna do about that Cheddar's?

The waitress was very nice. I ordered the Number 8 special Tyler Reddick's tossed in the hot honey. I thought the chicken tender size but are much bigger and very spicy! They also offered a buffalo sauce or classic. The ranch sauce I got on the side helped to cool it down. I also substituted a loaded baked potato for the coleslaw. It is a big plate of food.

Decent food (hit or miss some days on the freshness) but large portions. Lots of kids options. Servers are always good and attentive and rarely a wait. Unique inside but inviting none the less. Affordable for sure.

Eclectic restaurant
2 Dog is a charming, cozy establishment that offers a rotating menu comprised of locally sourced ingredients. Their homemade pizza and bread are particularly noteworthy. The restaurant stands out with its attention to local details and environmentally conscious practices, such as having a compost spot outside. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious, making it a place worth revisiting. Despite occasionally longer wait times for meals, patrons can enjoy excellent coffee while they wait.
This place was so good you want to lick your plates. Food locally sourced when available. The art was fun. I will say be patient it takes time to get your meal. Have a cup of coffee..it too excelled. Only open for lunch / Sunday brunch. I will go again.

Let me start off by saying, front hostess, amazing service. Everything else, Trash. Nothing seasoned. Food tasted bland, tasteless, no one in the group liked their food. This place makes Waffle House seem like a 3 star Michelin restaurant . If I was starving, and someone offered this, I would turn it down. I don’t why it’s called 2 dogs, I don’t even think a dog would eat this. Water tasted bleached, prob from a dog bowl. See attached photos.

Pretty good. Local beer selection. They strangely did not have sour cream for my quesadilla or any fresh fruit ( not even limes or lemons). Happy to see the staff wearing masks!

Awesome lunch spot that serves fresh, locally-sourced food. Unique flavors. Wonderful, cozy atmosphere and very friendly staff. They serve the best iced tea and have the 'good' ice! We will definitely be back here the next time we visit Gainesville. 😊👍

We had a late lunch there today, and were very impressed! Adorable spot in Downtown Gainesville, and super cute decor! The menu was vast and offered many different options. We chose the turkey wrap, chicken salad sandwich, and chicken salad melt. All were delicious, but the chicken salad melt was the best! We will definitely be back!

There are lots of local details you won't find elsewhere. Personable staff, good food, changing menus, plenty of things to keep you coming back. The prices aren't insane and there is even a compost spot outside. They're very environmentally conscious, and you can tell by the way they operate that they love what they do. This isn't a corporation or chain. This is a place made by and for the community. This lunch spot is home.

Surprisingly delightful cuisine well presented. The trout was superb and my lady loved her shrimp and grits. Live entertainment while you eat in the more casual piano bar room, or go for fancy in the fine dining room across the courtyard -- same menu in both. Will return.

Lovely Birthday Dinner! The service was excellent. I love that they really worked as a team, helping to cover each other's stations when someone was backed up. And everyone was super nice. The food was excellent, especially the deserts. I didn't make a point of mentioning that we were celebrating a birthday but one of the staff picked up on it and comped one desert.

First visit. Great atmosphere, I love a quiet intimate dinner. Service was very good. We both ordered the Luna's-Hatfield Creation. It's a 4 course chef inspired tasting menu. Basically the chef surprises you with each course. Very neat concept. The food was good, not the greatest but good. Not on my list of places to visit again however.

Everything was wonderful! It started with the best waitress named Jessica. She was the best ever. She was great from the beginning of the meal until I left. The meal was delicious. The best salmon I have ever eaten an it was a very large portion. Luna’s was by far a 5Star+++ Restaurant.
Libby Wingo — Google review
I have visited Gainesville periodically over the past two years and have frequented Luna’s for both lunch and dinner. The restaurant is split into two areas that are across the hall from each other. I enjoy both sides but for me the more casual side is so much fun as there’s typically live music playing. It’s a feel good atmosphere with leather sofas, a fireplace, a nice bar, even a small dance floor area. There’s always good daily specials for both lunch and dinner (both sides have the same menu) and the main menu offers a nice variety. But if you don’t see something you want, owner Juan Luna, will undoubtedly be delighted to create something for you. Juan always greets absolutely everyone with a warm smile and embrace, it’s one reason the food is so reliably good because it’s made with love! Travis typically waits on me and always has a smile and remembers what I like to drink. Actually, all the employees there are kind and obviously treated well. The bathroom is always immaculate (I can only speak for the women’s lol). I’ve been for dinner on the casual side while special events have taken place on the more formal side. Luna’s is capable of hosting the likes of the local cotillion dinner to executive bank dinners. It’s by far my favorite restaurant in Gainesville. I highly recommend Luna’s. It’s really a 10 out of five stars!!!

Love this place first time back in 3 years great quality food and service. Always a pleasant experience more old world service white linen table clothes and napkins, delicious hot rolls 😋, let's be honest who today services hot rolls on a proper bread plate and nice to see some of the staff that have been there for 18 plus years. Everything from fish, chicken, meat and pasta dishes. Plus a few daily specials. I ordered delicious French onion soup, a menu staple. Plus petite tenderloin tips with a peppercorn sauce, another staple. Worth a visit for a relaxing not rushed dining.
