Bistro
Nestled in the Methow Valley, Arrowleaf Bistro offers a charming dining experience with local, seasonal dishes and scenic river views from its deck. Named after the native wildflower that blankets the valley in spring, this bistro captures the essence of the community. The cozy and comfortable ambiance is perfect for a romantic date or an evening out with friends. While some visitors have noted inconsistencies in food quality, many praise the friendly staff and express willingness to give it another try.
Best meal I have had in a long time. We got the steak. It was cooked perfectly! The squash appetizer was to die for i would order it again 100 times. Desert was light and refreshing for the amount of calories! We will definitely be going back again.

This was a bit if let down after reading the great reviews. The service was excellent and the presentation and cook on the proteina were perfect but the seasoning and just the tastes fell flat. The cocktails were okay.

Great experience at Arrowleaf Bistro. Server was very friendly and my halibut was amazing. Was expecting a more traditional bruschetta but they came out with a unique one, but it was still good! Recommend this place if you’re looking for something a bit nicer in town.
Valeria Rubio — Google review
The staff is super nice and made the experience worth it. The food unfortunately was not up to the price IMO - the NY steak and the (fish of the day) salmon were both dry and lacking texture, possibly old and overcooked. It was a Sunday evening therefore I am not sure if they had logistical and staffing challenges, I wouldn’t mind giving them another shot next time I am in Winthrop.

What a lovely surprise! Excellent food and great cocktail list. Delicata squash was my favorite!

Very nice restaurant. We had Clams, New York steak and a Caesar salad. The salad and clams were excellent. So were the fries that came with the steak. Although the steak was good and prepared correctly. It left something to be desired. I didn't feel it was worth the $42 price tag.

There are not that many options for a decent breakfast in Twisp on a Sunday. We didn't want to drive up to Sun Mountain Lodge for a full breakfast, so we stopped by at Arrowleaf Bistro. We ordered Brunch Melt with sausage, Classic Gluten Free Waffle and Poptart. Brunch Melt is a breakfast sandwich with griddle cakes as the 'bun'. I was expecting fried eggs with runny yolk. Oh well. The poptart was dried out. Our espresso drinks were bitter and the microfoam not dense enough. We had a reservation for dinner the same day – my partner almost suggested that we cancel dinner. I was optimistic that dinner would be quite different, and we were glad we came back for dinner. There were many items to choose. I ended up with Roasted Beet Salad, and Tamarind Wild Boar Belly. My partner ordered Sweet Potato Chowder and Catch of the Day which was Halibut. The soup was very enjoyable and the halibut very good. The wild boar was very tasty but very tough which made me wish that I had ordered the appetizer Slow Roasted Pork Belly instead. While I complained about breakfast, Arrowleaf Bistro is different category of restaurant compared to a regular bacon and eggs place. They are good enough to be on a Michelin Guide Gourmand list. These people know about food, they know how to use and combine unusual ingredients. I wish there is a place like this near us. If we lived here, we would frequent this dinning room. I left the Cascade region thinking of all the other items that I wanted to try like Jumbo Lump Crab Bake, Fried Burrata, and Seared Scallops, etc.
No MSG No Garlic Foodie — Google review
The prices don’t match what the dishes are worth. $18 for a salad that has strawberries, radish, and tomatoes seems really unfair. There was nothing groundbreaking about about that salad. Overpriced all across the board. The risotto was really delicious with all the greens in it, pasta was good but not amazing. Both dishes were lacking salt. We were excited about the desserts and ended up trying 3 of them. The hot fudge skillet was delicious. The cheesecake and chamomile cake were a miss for me.

The food we ordered was beyond expectations! Dawn, our server was knowledgeable and so great with all our needs! I would give at least 10 stars if I could! We had the Wild Boar and New York Steak with a bottle of Lost Creek Merlot, for our anniversary and it was one of the best dinners we have had in a long time! Dawn was the best! Definitely a must stop if you are in Winthrop!

The restaurant was not completely full and eventhough we had a reservation we had to wait. After that our waiter brought us water and told us that she will be back to let ua know the especials, after waiting another 20 or so minutes she finally came back and wanted to take just the drink order. Because we had already reviewed the menu, we order our food together with some drinks. I was told that one of the food that we ordered was going to take some time, which I was ok with. When the food came, I had the pork shop and it was too salty, so I ended up taking most of it with me since I knew my husband will eat it, but I did asked our server that if my pork shop was meant to be salty, to what she replied yes, but for my likes was too salty. They ended giving us 20% discount, something I did not asked for, so I gave it back to the server on her tip. We also had the cream brule which was really good. The readon why I gave 3 stars to the service is because our waiter was focusing too mucho on the other tables, than ours, not sure if it was because we were not wearing nothing fancy, or visible expensive, so she might thought we were not going to tip her well, something completely wrong since she ended up with over 20% in the tip despite the issue with my food and the slow service. Also, I think that even if they are short-staff, all the servers should help each other that way if a client is waiting for the empty plates to be picked up, they don't have to wait such a long time. This is supposed to be an upscale restaurant, and not because the restaurant wabted to be label that way, but because their plates do not cost below $30.00 per person, so you will imagine to have over the top service and food, which was definitely not the case. Besides that, I think the restaurannt atmosphere is great for romantic celebrations, like we were having, and the whole bribe of the restaurant was awsome. I don't think I will be back, but I hope this review help them to get better and grow into that upscale restaurant they want to be.

Two fantastic meals at this lovely restaurant. The staff were fabulous and the food was great. They had no problem with gluten-free. We will be back for more in the winter. Seasonal ingredients and modern takes on classic dishes.

Excellent service staff. The food was well presented but only above average in year for it's price point. I might come back when I'm back in town.

Our meals are always reliable delicious, but tonight was just exceptional. The kale salad was farm-to-table fresh, the steak was melt-in-your-mouth good, and the bread pudding was to die for. Casual and welcoming atmosphere, and excellent service. Highly recommend!

Located in the heart of Winthrop, East 20 Pizza is a popular spot for pizza enthusiasts on a budget. The restaurant offers a charming and fun atmosphere, making it suitable for solo diners, friends, and families. With its fresh ingredients and creative toppings, the pizza is a must-try. The menu includes over 20 pizza combinations, make-your-own pizzas, half & half pizzas, calzones, and local beer.
Great place, friendly staff and great pizza. We camp nearby often and always come here, though I've only taken it out. Great selection of draft beer.

GF and I had the Chicken Royale pizza. It was a great tasting pizza which was enough to fill us up for dinner. And we had another apple cider to wash it down...not too bad. Staff was super nice and accommodating.

This place is really popular, so you better get there early if you're dining in. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. They say hello when you come in and thank you when you leave - even when they are really busy. Sever was excellent. Food was hot. Seating area is small and there aren't any fountain drinks. If you want a soda with your pizza, it's by the can. Pizza was OK. Pretty low budget straight forward stuff, but I bet it's one of the few consistent places in town that you can go for a meal. Out of stater here for what it's worth. I appreciated the good meal and hospitality.

The pizza and breadsticks were amazing! From the mouths of my kids, my husband and myself “This is the best pizza I’ve ever had”! Seriously! My kids ordered a large pepperoni, I ordered a 12” Thai and my husband ordered a large Papa Dan’s, we ordered 4 sodas, they were cans (no free refills) and we also had breadsticks to share. Breadsticks were the best too! I’m not going to lie it was definitely pricey and next time we won’t order as much but dang it was good! Our waitress was also very kind and in these times that is much appreciated. We will definitely be coming back!!

Wow, I was blown away by this place. First of all, when you walk in you immediately feel welcome and that they are grateful to have you there. The food itself is incredible, I had the best margherita pizza of my life. Later we shared a giant mudslide pie which has ice cream that changes flavor with the season. At the time it was a mint chocolate flavor and it hit the spot. Staff made the place feel like I was a regular even though it was my first time. If your visiting and not sure where to eat, look no more this is it.

6*/5* I came here over the 2022 Memorial Day weekend, I have been wanting to come here forever and finally had the time to stop here and get a bite to eat.. When I tell you there was not a single thing wrong with the service or the food I am not kidding. We were given an outside table with a fireplace and a stunning view. But when I tell you I love an ice cold Corona with my pizza and unknowingly I am given a Pint (24 oz) bottle, not those small 12 oz bottles you get from Buffalo Wild Wings. By the way THEY’RE ONLY $6! While we waited for our food to come we had the opportunity to see some wild life across the street. We were also given a cup of shredded mozzarella cheese while we waited and we got a small chunk of the end of the block and it was some of the best cheese I’ve ever had in my life. Keep in mind I haven’t even gotten my pizza yet.. I ordered a build your own 10” on the gluten free crust with the white cream sauce, chicken, and bacon. BEST PIZZA I HAD IN MY LIFE 15/10! I didn’t have room for their homemade chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches but they sound amazing. ASK FOR SHANNON!!

My second time to eat here and definitely hasn’t disappointed. Like 20+ pizza combinations, make your own pizzas, half & half pizzas, calzones, and some delicious local beer round out the menu for a guaranteed good meal. Great service and a to-go window as well. Limited outdoor, dog-friendly seating with the indoor seating currently closed. We had the Thai pizza which is really spectacular and just the right amount of spicy. We also ordered the Papa Dan’s with jalapeños and it rocked as well. Definitely the best food in Winthrop and dog-friendly was the kicker for us!

Have been getting pizza here since 2019. The pizzas used to be huge and piled high with quality ingredients. Today, my 2 16 inchers and 1 12 incher were much smaller than advertised, super thin and toppings were very thin. Additionally, their ovens haven't been working right for a few days, so we have to take it home and bake it. Full price. I gave 2 stars only because the young man working was courteous. No anchovies on the anchovy pizza.

Amazing Pizza, nice beer with outdoor setting and a fireplace. Do you need something else? Officially they close at 8 pm. We arrived around 7.40 with family and kids. They not only served us well, stayed open for to finish, pack and use restrooms till 8.30. Loved it

Great food and quick service. If you order the largest size pizza they let you pick a different specialty pizza type for each half. The specialty pizza ingredients are unique and delicious too.

Definitely the place to get Pizza!!!!!!! Delicious, heavenly crust, unique options. My daughter got Greek salad with chicken, perfect. Melissa our server put up with all my questions, very helpful. If your in Winthrop wondering where to eat, this your spot.

Delicious pizzas and cold beer, what more can you ask for? We got the sausage combo in a calzone and the Bellamini.

Methow Valley Ciderhouse is a cozy restaurant that offers a delightful dining and drinking experience at an affordable price. Whether you're stopping by for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, this place caters to all kinds of diners. The ambiance is welcoming and homey, making it a great spot to enjoy some cider or a delicious meal.
I visited this place last weekend for the first time, and I LOVED it! JP and Mireya (I believe that's her name) are SOOO nice and their hospitality was definitely the highlight of our trip. The prices are very reasonable, the cider flight was great and the price was way better than other places I've tried, and the food... Delicious!!! I was not expecting delicious Mexican food when coming in (didn't take pics oops) but was pleasantly surprised. We loved this place so much we ate here twice during our weekend getaway. We will definitely eat here again next time we're in the area.

Service was great– gentleman helping us that afternoon (5/25/2023) was fantastic, welcoming, very kind. Couple dings because they only had four ciders on tap for a ciderhouse + out of a couple key food menu items, but the food that was ordered was good and solid portion sizes. Always a cozy stop when in the area!

Great ribs that are smoked to perfection. It came with home made Mac and cheese and a coleslaw. The coleslaw was different than any I have ever had and was a real treat. Another unexpected treat was the bbq sauce. I used that on my wife's chicken pesto pizza.. the ribs and the pizza were so good that it didn't need anything but the sauce was so good,, I couldn't let it go to waste.. we had the cider sampler.. to me,, cider is an acquired taste and we had never had cider like that but the honey and blackberry cider went down with no problem and was very pleasurable to drink.. they had great dark stout beer.. I wouldn't normally rate a resturant like this five stars but I challenge you to find anything better close by.. this place is special.. thank you Jasmine for being so attentive. .

We dropped by Methow Valley Ciderhouse and gave their Honey Bear pork brat a try - it was pretty tasty and lived up to the hype. The baby back ribs were good too. The staff were friendly and the place had a nice vibe. However, the Rancher corned beef sandwich and chicken tenders weren't really our thing. So, a bit of a mixed bag overall.

This place never disappoints. The owner and staff are phenomenal, so genuinely interested in engaging with tourists and the community. Their food is excellent and consistent. We have come here numerous times and always love it. In the Spring/Summer they have a back patio which is amazing and has lots to do for kids while you wait and enjoy a drink. The owner made sure we knew all the amenities available to entertain our littles. Absolutely a must see in town and worth the trip!!! ps: now serving breakfast!!! what?! can't wait to try it.

After a day of XC skiing we stopped in at the Methow Valley Ciderhouse for lunch. The menu has a great selection from pizza, hamburgers, brats, sandwiches and daily specials. Went with the special of fresh chili Relleno with rice and beans and a Thai Brat with a pint of Bale Breaker pilsner and side of fries. Also had their Raven Cider which was amazing! Service was fast and the food was fabulous! Perfect place in end a wonderful day and or start the night.

I loved this place! Tons of outdoor dining and a very chill vibe, less crowded than Main St. I got a flight of ciders — six pours for $10! I don’t like most beer so opt for cider, but it’s hard to find a spot with options that aren’t sickly sweet. I loved all of these ciders. They ranged from tart to dry, to a delightful sweet (Honey Bear, the sweetest, was still not the over sugary taste you get from stuff like angry orchard) We weren’t too hungry so opted for kids meals, which we all enjoyed. Our server was lovely and the food came out quick. Would definitely recommend this spot. Wish I lived closer!

We stopped here hoping to get lunch but we were too early (1115) and breakfast only was being served. Not being a huge breakfast fan I was disappointed and didn't have high expectations. I ordered the chilaquiles with eggs done over easy. It was very flavorful and delicious with just the right amount of crunch; I would get this again. It's right off the main road with plenty of parking for oversized vehicles.

We came for breakfast, which was very good, and heard the waiter telling someone about their ribeye steak serving all weekend. Saturday being my birthday, we were going to go to the bistro for something a little fancy. Decided last minute that I wanted steak so we went to the cider House. So glad we did!! Steak was delicious and the accompanying veggies were amazing, seasoned perfectly and grilled to perfection. I mentioned it was my birthday and they brought tequila shots, on the house! It was perfect. The whole staff was so welcoming, accommodating and made my birthday so special. I requested to purchase my wine glass with their logo embossed as a memento and they gladly accommodated my request. Amazing service, Delicious food. Birthday to remember. Thank you guys, you're the best!

Best place to eat, get drinks in town! Family operated, athletic food is so good! Fresh cider and beer on tap. Really friendly personal, indoor and outdoor dining. Plenty of parking.

Good breakfast, order English muffin but got toast. It's not a big deal. Sausage was amazing, though. My sister and her friends had endless mimosas.

We found out about this restaurant at the end of our trip to winthrop, so we were just doing takeout, but I wish we had time to visit there longer! Everyone there was really friendly and made sure to make us feel welcome, and even brought us water at a table while we were waiting for our food. My partner got the veggie burger, and she said that it was delicious! I only got some fries since I had to start driving, but those were also very delicious and cooked perfectly too. Looking forward to getting more things there next time we go. Thank you for having vegan options available!

What a gem of a place right off of the highway! This cider house has it all, Great smoked BBQ, live music, and tasty cider. It was packed when we arrived and we were still seated quickly and served just as fast. Our server took wonderful care of us. I had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich with fries and mac & cheese, all of which was excellent. I’m so glad we stopped in and can’t wait to come by again the next time we visit North Cascades National Park!

A great stop with great ciders as well as some beer. Their Old English dry cider is probably one of the best I’ve ever had. We also got the baby back ribs and pretzel with beer cheese. Both were fantastic and came out pretty quick. Great service and their front deck is dog-friendly. They have live music on weekends and they perform in the back outdoor dining area.

Excellent food and drinks. Really nice atmosphere. Stayed here on Harvest Hosts overnight for RV’s. Great friendly service. There are aggressive yellow jackets outside this time of year (Sept) so I don’t recommend that. Indoors is nice and spacious.

Great place for dinner. Today must have been an unusually quite day as we were the only customers for the most part of our meal at 6pm. Service was great, very quick. Free chips and salsa and a free desert! Burger and sandwich were slightly above average but no complaints at all. Cider was delicious. Overall 10/10.

Bakery
Contemporary neighborhood bakery offering bread & pastries, plus soup, sandwiches & pizza.
Very good coffee. Lovely ambience. It would be an enjoyable place to sit and while away some time. Great selection of pastries, bread and sandwiches although we did not try them. Stone seating out back by the river. "best coffee" in Winthrop award winner.
Daz Wilkin — Google review
We stopped in for a quick snack to take on the road with us. We got the coffee cake made with buttermilk and a blueberry scone. Both were very good. We could have had them with coffee and there was lots of places to sit but we were in a rush. It has a very eclectic feel making it somewhat welcoming. The staff weren’t particularly friendly and given we were just grabbing and going we were put off by the implied ask for a tip.

Very nice interior and busy!! Located right on the river bend with nice outdoor seating. Very limited quantities of their breakfast sandwiches.. There were no more bacon ones and we got the last sausage ones. The biscuit was crumbly and dry and the sausage was lacking flavor big time.. So was the egg, and somehow it was 2 inches thick! With proper seasoning the sandwich would be really good! We also got a Marion berry cream cheese muffin which was the best muffin I've had in quite a long time.. Friendly service and staff, but it was very loud in there because of the music so it was hard to hear. Overall, a good place to visit if you're rolling through Winthrop early morning (not many places open before 9 am)
Joseph Finn — Google review
Cute shop with lots of seating and great art on the walls by local artists. Coffee was not bad but not amazing. The service was very nice. They didn't have any vegan food options when I was in, which was a bummer, but it's a small-town bakery so that's not necessarily surprising. My partner said the non-vegan options were pretty good, though!
Jenny Haan — Google review
Cute indoor and outdoor seating (by river). Very busy on a Saturday as you can imagine so plan accordingly. Coffee and quiche were good. Cinnamon rolls seem to be a thing in town but they were fine but still hit the spot. Lots of bakery options like muffins, cookies, Cinnamon rolls and scones offered. Also various sandwiches available that looked fresh. The other bakery was closed on weekend, so we couldn't try it but muffins and quiches seem like best breakfast option here.

Love love love this place. Bought 2 bags of coffee. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food was good. They did have gluten free selections. Many options. Recommended for a good coffee shop in the area. Super cute storefront, and the inside is cute and themed as well.

This was our first time visiting Winthrop. We decided to have breakfast here before heading out to N. Cascades Park. In Winthrop, we found it was hard to find a quick breakfast restaurant. After searching for awhile, we found this bakery. They offered the typical quick breakfast food like sandwiches, bagels, coffee, etc. We got the sausage and egg sandwiches, and they were fantastic. The coffee was also great too. The food is also reasonably priced. We got our meal and then went out to their beautiful outdoor seating area. Make sure to get there early enough, because when we arrived at 9 am, most of the popular sandwiches were gone. The sandwiches are the heartiest meal there and I can see why they go so fast. I believe the bakery should find a way to increase the supply of the sandwiches. All in all, this place was fantastic!

While visiting I had the pesto chicken sandwich and a pull apart cinnamon muffin (I can't remember if that's what it was called) and both were delicious! Great place for breakfast or brunch.

Such a good local bakery! Stopped in during the Hot Air Balloon festival and I’m so glad I did. I got a chicken salad sandwich on a croissant and it was absolutely delicious. We also grabbed a variety of pastries and they were all freshly baked with yummy fruits and ingredients. Customer service was great! I also enjoyed their variety of hot teas.

Delicious baked goods. I especially recommend the cinnamon buns. My husband and I shared it and the breakfast meat burrito. The burrito was ok. Next to no meat in it, and the egg has no seasoning. However, it was still filling without upsetting my stomach, and helped power me through our hikes.

Old Schoolhouse Brewery is a charming tavern located in Winthrop, WA, housed in a small red schoolhouse that adds to the old western town ambiance. The brewery offers a variety of year-round and seasonal ales, which patrons can enjoy on their riverfront deck and patio overlooking the Chewuch River. Visitors can also catch live music performances on the Log Jam stage while savoring their homemade brews.
Thinking of the chicken wings? Get the hot sauce! Delicious. Service was on point, it was a busy night during the holiday so food was not as fast but expected! It's a cozy venue with exactly the old schoolhouse vibe. Being an educator I took full advantage of picking up plenty of swag. I can't forget the beer. Primarily IPA and unfiltered and tasty! I had to take some home to get the whole menu. I appreciate the atmosphere during the winter, it especially reminded me of a laid back ski community.

Cozy on the inside, with a spacious riverside deck area. Came during off season so crowds were light. Staff were charming and warm (the regulars too). Solid American pub fare. Had a Reuben and wasn't disappointed. Thick cut pastrami with fresh cheese and kraut. Garlic waffle fries were the perfect amount of crispy. Stuck with the stouts. All were quite good. Hooligan stout was a great baseline. A solid stout balanced well across all stats -- sweetness, bitterness, mouth feel, color, etc. MeliPorta Stout had plenty of vanilla and cocoa notes. Sweet, almost like someone dipped their cake in my glass. Imperial Stout was my favorite. A real winner. Not at all overly hoppy like many Imperials tend to be. Amazing color, again good balance of stats.

Come prepared to wait on the weekend, but you can check in and they will send you a txt when your table is ready. Bar was open so sat while we waited and had a beer. Good on tap selection with nice variety and some good wines. Food was decent. Little pricey for the quality. Ceaser salad dressing has a very strong taste of garlic. The burger meat was so good 👍 Fish and chips were good. BUT.... THAT PRETZEL WAS BOMB! Over all was a great experience and staff was very friendly. Shout out to Stewart for making the soups!!! 😂

Wasn’t overly impressed, after several recommendations to come here. I went by myself, and had to wait over 30 minutes to get a seat outside. That wasn’t the problem. The problem was they were sitting people ahead of me because I was alone. Finally a bartender noticed and I presume felt bad I was waiting so he went and checked himself. This was after several groups went ahead of me. Even groups of 2 went ahead of me. It was a concert night. Good live band playing outside. Sever was slow to serve, so I was slow to drink since I didn’t want to get food and not have anything to drink. I still tipped over 20% since I understand today I was solo and wanted more than one person for a better tip. Didn’t feel as a valued customer here. Sad after I was told so many great things. I will say the pretzel was good as well as the sandwich.

Delicious beer and food! This was a great stop on our day trip in Winthrop! The patio along the river was really nice, and they had a misting fan that my son enjoyed.

The food was good here, and service as well. Outdoor seating is available, overlooking the river. It can get pretty noisy and crowded, so if you're not into that, it's best to Maybe go there on a weekday.

We visited this place last year in early 2021 and again this year! The service was spectacular. We ordered the mozzarella sticks for an appetizer and ordered the rotating hard cider tap as well as the local beer (forgot the name sorry!) appreciate the staff wearing masks and they also provide crowlers and growlers that can be refilled! Always love stopping by OSB. they also hosted the beer garden at the hockey tournament that was going on over the weekend. Great people. Great experience.

We we’re on our way back east out of the park and stumbled on this awesome little town. We stopped for lunch at Old Schoolhouse and it was great. We had a couple beers, a root beer and a few sandwiches. Both the food and beer was very good. The beer was especially well done, but the food was too. Would defiantly recommend a stop if you are in the area.

We carry their beer at our farm (Chelan Valley Farms) and absolutely love it. This is our first time visiting the original brewery. So much character and then… step out onto the patio in the back right on the river. Totally amazing. The beers, the food options. We loved it. Definite must visit in Winthrop.

On my recent trip to the Methow Valley, I made a point to visit Old Schoolhouse Brewery in Winthrop, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Nestled along the banks of the Chewuch River, this brewery feels like a hidden gem where time slows down, and the beer flows just as freely as the river it overlooks. I kicked off my tasting with the Epiphany Pale Ale, a medium-bodied pale ale with just the right balance of bitterness, a slight caramel malt flavor, and a citrusy hop aroma that made it incredibly refreshing after a day out in the valley. The atmosphere of the brewery, with its sprawling deck and laid-back vibe, was just as impressive as the beer. It's easy to see why Nate, Jake, and Troy, the new owners and outdoor enthusiasts, fell in love with this place. Their passion for the valley and the brewery is evident in every detail, from the quality of the beer to the warm, inviting atmosphere they've nurtured. As an adventurer at heart, I couldn't resist diving into their seasonal offerings, and the Imperial Stout caught my eye. This beer, with its deep, dark complexity, layers of caramel, chocolate, and roasted malts, was a bold choice but perfectly balanced. It's clear why it's a gold medal winner. But it wasn't just the beer that made my visit memorable. It was the feeling of community and connection to nature that Old Schoolhouse Brewery embodies. It's a place that celebrates the outdoor lifestyle, from fly fishing to skiing, and everything in between. Sitting on that deck, sipping on a Ruud Awakening IPA as the river flowed by, I felt a deep sense of relaxation and contentment. For anyone visiting the Methow Valley, I highly recommend stopping by Old Schoolhouse Brewery. Whether you're an IPA aficionado, a stout enthusiast, or somewhere in between, there's something here for you. And who knows, you might just find yourself slowing down to river time, even if just for an afternoon

My wife and had an early dinner. We sat on the deck overlooking the river. My wife's sandwich was good but my fish n chips were terribly over cooked and looked to me like the fish came from a supplier and not done in house. More breading than fish. I would go back but wouldn't order the fish. Very disappointing. The service was good.

The Hooliganism Strout was worth the stop. Probably what an English sprout would taste like if they knew how to brew a strout. And my friend had the Stowaway Pale Ale which she found tart and refreshing and easy to drink. The host was very friendly and there was no waiting for our drinks. We sat on the back deck in the warm autumn sun and relaxed after our morning hike and enjoyed our drinks. The food was good. We had fries and wings. Definitely worth stopping by after hiking in the North Cascades.

Really cool craft brew house in town. There is plenty of seating, especially outside with a nice creek view. Service was fast and friendly. I had the award winning Hooligan Stout and it did not disappoint! It's definitely worth the time to try a cold one!

Food has been subpar for last couple years, beer is great but latest experience re service was a turnoff. Sign at bar says Order Here, bar tender tells us to pick a table and a server will take your order, which does not happen, despite a greeter at the door looking at her hand held device. Adios Old School House, better options with friendly service in Winthrop.

Love the old schoolhous facade. Service was excellent with friendly knowledgable staff. IPA was great and for a no alchohol option the RootBeer is really good.

The geodomes were a nice warm and private place to hang out in the winter. The food and beer were both excellent.
