Restaurant
Oak Wood Fire Kitchen is a modern pizzeria serving delicious wood-fired pies and shareable appetizers. The small menu offers a variety of options, but everything on it was delicious! The service was great and the atmosphere cozy. The only downside was that the restaurant wasn't very busy, so we didn't get to try all the menu items. Overall, we loved our experience at Oak Wood Fire Kitchen and would definitely recommend it to others!
I have found my new food obsession. I ordered the Roasted beet salad and saying is the most incredible salad I have ever eaten still doesn't feel like I'm doing it justice. The dressings blend with the goat cheese and all of the fruit and beets are perfect. The Baked goat cheese and bread are also just so delicious. Very very quality food. I even ordered for delivery and everything was perfect. Go here, it's worth it.

We tried Oak Wood Fire Kitchen today for lunch for our anniversary weekend. We’ve been looking for a yummy wood fire pizza place ever since we fell in love with Hand Fire pizza in Jackson Hole. I’m happy to report that this pizza kitchen lived up to the artisan pizza experience! The atmosphere is fun & trendy, the little touches added make it feel like an expensive restaurant, and the food does not disappoint! We shared the Prosciutto and Arugula pizza: Prosciutto, ricotta, apple, parmesan, balsamic glaze. It was the perfect size for two to share! We did add hot honey to the pizza as well which I highly recommend if you want a sweet zing! We also shared the house fries…a MUST try! The only reason I can’t give it a full 5 start review is because our pizza was a tiny bit too “fired,” in my opinion as the bottom was charred black on half of it & my hubby and I both thought our servers were a bit much. One of the gals had her shirt open so much, I’m pretty sure she was advertising for the “pepperoni” pizza haha. 😵‍💫 All in all, it was a great place to eat and a steal for us as it was under $30 for both of us to have what I consider a nicer lunch experience. Definitely stop in and try them, I’m confident you won’t regret it!

Excellent flavor combos and textures. I loved the beet & goat cheese salad. The service was slow and forgetful, which seemed odd with only three sat tables and four visible employees.

Great food! Smaller menu but everything was delicious! Highly recommend the Brussels sprouts, meatballs, goat cheese, & Oak bread! Had the Oak Burger made with brisket… it was delicious as well! Fries were delicious and the blonde ale was delicious! The Oak Manhattan was amazing too!

Great place for a nice lunch or dinner with your friends or dates. I really liked their pizza and all three were good. The atmosphere is good, the interior is awesome, and the staff are very nice. One downside is that the lighting in the bathroom was too dark but other than that, very nice place for food at reasonable price.
N Y — Google review
The food was great. I Wish the flatbread was a bit more crispier IMO. I guess I was comparing it to Indian naan as far as how cooked I've had it in the past. It was a bit undercooked IMO, but the ricotta meatballs were to die for! Service was good. I Wish the waitress would have refilled my coke twice while I was eating. There were other young staff that would huddle in the back of the restaurant and talk amongst themselves. I Guess they could have been a bit more attentive to the guests. The atmosphere was comfortable warm and well lit.

First time to this business. Went there with a group of friends for our monthly get together. From what I understand the menu changes quite frequently but the options at the time we went were great. The girl who served us (wish I remembered her name) was so great, she was slammed but our group of 8 never felt neglected and she was super personable. The only complaint I would have is that it was a louder environment which prevented conversation with the entire table. It was hard to hear people at the end of the table but this fact does not lower my rating, just be aware that it is a louder environment than other options. Food quality was great, came out hot and looking beautiful. They really did a great job all around and we were all happy with the food quality, service, atmosphere and we will definitely be back in the future.

Nice view while eating decent food. We’re visiting from New Orleans…northern food is just bland to us..however this place was pretty darn tasty. The hostess was super duper nice, but can’t say the same for our server. He seemed in a mood. He walked off before my husband was done ordering. The food did come out quick, so that was good. Unfortunately, our server never came to check on us when we needed things. He just brought us our check without acknowledging us. We still left a tip because it’s tough out there & he mighta just been having himself a bad day. I recommend the Nashville sandwich!

We had a great dinner at OAK Wood last night. The appetizers were great but I would probably pass on the street corn. The fries were our favorite appetizer! I’m going to give this a 4 star because the service was really slow and inconsistent. I really enjoyed the BBQ Chicken Pizza! Not my favorite place of all time but a great spot in Draper.

We visited Oakwood on a Saturday around 11:30 a.m. with a party of seven. They do only have two tables that fit a larger group so the wait time was about 30 minutes, but they did have some four tops available so if you are a smaller group you could have snagged a table easily. Everything we ordered was so delicious! The Loco Moco with an over easy egg was smooth and creamy and salty, just everything it needed to be. The breakfast potatoes were on point and the perfect crispness! Steak was tender and the scrambled eggs were buttery and rich. The house salad was well prepared and the dressing added a refreshing tartness to balance out the spicy arugula and salty Parmesan. The waffles were crisp and buttery and the fruit was fresh and sweet. We ordered with a side of bacon and a side of sausage, if you were choosing one, I would go for the sausage, it is homemade and flavorful! The crème brûlée French toast was a more sugary option but was balanced well, you could definitely share with 2 people. The chicken and waffles were probably our least favorite item, the chicken was heavily spiced, but it was still good and the sweet waffles balanced it out a bit. If you are a coffee drinker, their French press coffee will not disappoint! A bit of a splurge for breakfast, but we felt like the food was worth the price.

Visited for the first and was happy overall with the food and service. Tried two pizzas, the Papa Juan and South Side. Both were solid. I’d be interested in coming back to try other menu items. The inside was freezing as the AC was blasting so make sure to have a jacket if you come in the warmer months. Our waitress was super pleasant and kind but never asked if we wanted any drinks which I thought was strange. I recognize we could have asked if we wanted a drink but just thought it was strange she didn’t at all. We just stuck to the water that was room temp. They should know most people want ice and maybe to even offer it upon being seated.

I recently tried here for the first time, and I am quite impressed. Their gluten free pizza crust was quite nice and had good flavor. What really stood out was their waygu beef stroganoff. It was so creamy with perfectly cooked noodles and a bunch of cheese. While there wasn't a GF pasta option here, there were plenty of options for eating gluten free. I will come back here for sure.

I saw this place on ig.. so I thought to give it a try... wasn't really expecting a lot but everything we ordered was oh so good. We had the goat cheese, crembrulee French toast and their steak and eggs. It was a busy Saturday but we were seated immediately. Food wait wasn't long and it was served hot and fresh. The waitress was constantly checking on us but wasn't overbearing which I absolutely love. Will definitely come back to try their pizza and drinks! Hopefully, taste will be amazing as well.

This place is AMAZING! The goat cheese appetizer is my absolute favorite and the meatballs are a close second! The beef stroganoff is the best I’ve ever had and the hot & honey pizza was delightful! Everything tastes so fresh and the food to the table time is quick! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Went to Oak for the first time tonight. And I have to say: THEY UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT! Start to end! The hostess had a huge smile and was very welcoming, the food was great, service really good, and the churros? Omg! The best! I’m Brazilian so I know what a great churros taste like, and theirs is filled with cream. We first ordered the Oak Bread and my husband decided to change that for the Cauliflower. The pizza chef was super sweet and thought she trashed the ticked, but was our sweet server who took it out. But they compliment that for us anyway. Simple gestures that show guest appreciation. We met chef Ian, and we talked to him for an hour. Very humble guy, super sweet and gave great hospitality! We shared a bunch of stories, like surf, surf spots, food, and a bunch of laughs. Never had such a nice experience in a restaurant in Utah like that. Working in this industry I appreciate even more! All the success to Oak, Chef Ian and their team! I live close by, so I am going to become a regular! Love it! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Ok in my defense, it came out piping hot from the kitchen where I watched them make it a few feet away (very cool) and I was starved. This is a post first bite pic! The gluten free options are seemingly endless, the gluten free crust rivals any of the best, and I wanted to have at least 6 of the appetizers but this place is just too nice for a sampler platter. Drinks are a little pricey but still were good. Our waitress was lovely, I’m still full and happy about it. Hold me back-I’m returning to try more. 🤤

Our first time at Oak wood fire kitchen will not be our last! The food was 10/10, diet coke w lime was a 10/10. Asthetic and vibes were 10/10. We were told it would be a 30-40 minute wait but were seated in under 20 minutes! Our food was quick and we loved the atmosphere! You have to get the oak bread and baked goat cheese for an appetizer.. it was to die for! I had the Margareta pizza and the rest of our large group got a variety of dishes that were amazing!
Morgan Loving — Google review
Fantastic!!!!! My second time coming here and they never disappoint. I love the stroganoff pasta! They also have a very nice Brussels sprouts, pizza, and the churro is top notch. I’ll be bringing my friends and family here. They also have Gluten Free options!!

I’ve driven past this place for a while now and have always wanted to try it but was hesitant due to the ratings. I decided to stop in for a late brunch on Sunday with our party of 6 and I’m glad we did! Atmosphere: Small establishment but beautiful modern decor Service: 5/5 our waitress Mallory was awesome and attentive. Food: Baked Goat Cheese with the Naan was delicious! The marinara perfectly balanced the goat cheese and that bread was nice and warm and garlicky Pizzas: Mediterranean, Hot Honey Pepperoni, The Hidden Valley- all were delicious. Nashville: Doesn’t look like much but it’s packed with flavor Biscuits & Gravy: Dense delicious biscuits and the sausage gravy was great. The eggs literally doesn’t need anything. They were perfectly cooked. Beignets: Really enjoyed these, would be nice if they offered different sauces like chocolate, and raspberry instead of just strawberry jam bit these were delicious. Overall, I would definitely come back and try the other dishes they offer.

Seen this one in a Local Instagram post. I was not disappointed, fantastic service really good food. Lovey place. Little bit of wait for the food, but well worth it. The pizza is so tasty and delicious and the beef ragonoff is so good, meat is nice and tender and the sauce and noodles are nice and creamy and wonderful flavor. The corn dip is really good, but would have loved see homemade corn chips with the bread that came with it. The bread was really good. I also got the meatball appitizer with the wood bread. So yummy. We also ordered the bread pudding and churro desserts, both were good. Definitely going to also take advantage of the gift card offer!

Penny Ann's Cafe is a charming family-run eatery that has gained recognition and awards in the valley. With a warm and welcoming atmosphere, this cafe offers classic American breakfast and lunch options, along with an array of shakes and pies. One of their popular dishes is the Heavenly Hot Cakes, known for their light and airy texture. The cafe has multiple locations in the valley, each serving a robust menu featuring breakfast classics like omelettes, pancakes, and hearty plates.
Best service that I’ve experienced in a while. Food was also pretty amazing. This was my first time to Penny Ann’s and Ryann was my server. She hooked me up with real heavy cream for my coffee. She said that PAC has the best chicken fried steak in the state, and she wasn’t wrong. It was pretty amazing. Ryann was friendly, chatty but not intrusive, and on the ball. I give it five stars. Great food, great service.

Staff didn’t check on me me once the entire time after I ordered. I would’ve liked to have more water with my meal and condiments. Ended up asking for the check from some girls chatting behind the bar counter. Other than that, the food was delicious. I got the veggie wrap, sweet potato fries and a scone. It was all excellent and I was so pleasantly surprised to see a vegetarian option!
A D — Google review
We decided to try Penny Ann’s after reading reviews, and it did not disappoint at all. The stuffed french toast was incredible and so delicious, and was definitely enough to be a meal by itself. However, I’m glad I ordered a side of biscuits and gray as well because they were amazing. The gravy wasn’t too spicy like other restaurants tend to make it, and the biscuits were flaky and soft. My wife ordered the “small” breakfast which was still massive, and she loved the food as well. Every aspect of the meal was cooked to perfection, and the service was spectacular.
Jeff Shurtliff — Google review
This is a stereotypical American brunch café. They have a menu similar to Cracker Barrel. Nothing too fancy or special, but it's what you would expect to eat for breakfast or lunch in the US. Food portions are big but not too big. I got an Arizona omelet, and it was kind of spicy with jalapeños. I think the food tastes like what you would expect it to taste like, but I really liked their fried scone - it was really good. I chose French toast for my side, and I thought they put on whipped cream, but it was actually a scoop of butter. The food in general tasted fine.
N Y — Google review
We got there about 11:30 and still had a 45 minute wait. The service was good. Our food came quickly after we ordered. The atmosphere was like a typical diner. Service was good. My sister ordered the Ruben and said it was very good. Mom ordered a ham sandwich which had very generous meat portions, my other sister ordered a French toast sandwich which was good. I had the pork verde omelette. They gave us large glasses of water and soda.
Debbie Morris — Google review
As others have expressed the service was excellent and the food mediocre. I wish I could give our server, Mike, 6 stars. He was very attentive and checked on us frequently. I had the Denver omelet and my wife had the Southern omelet. Both came from the kitchen barely warm. By the time we were half way through they were like warm. I enjoyed the warmed up leftovers more. I think someone needs to buy the kitchen a touchless thermometer so they can tell when the food is warm enough. I might go back to support a small business or I might go to a different location but I don't think I will return here unless I see a difference in the reviews.

Oh my what can you say about POT OF GOLD except absolutely incredible breakfast. Pancakes on the side oh my are they good. Service was exceptional and food was out fast and so flavorful.
Ron Flewellen — Google review
Breakfast potatos are deep fried. Fast and easy, not very tasty. House syrup is poor quality, fortunately you can pay $2.78 for a small serving of real maple syrup. Pancakes were very good. Server did not notice all our syrup was gone. Food cooled down before we could get more. Eggs over medium were cooked hard. Pork Verdi had good flavor, but light on the serving size. We will not be going back.
Michael Shaffer — Google review
Busy loud and good. If go back alone just for the server. She was a delight. Only critique I have is if you say award winning flapjacks they need to be rock em sock em. An extra flavor, slight crisp to the edge, or something to make them unique. Regardless, a great place to eat.
Rusty Shackleford — Google review
Good food, the wait time was short even though it was pretty busy and full. The Biscuits and Gravy were rich, the Frybread is a must, I'd go there just for that alone. The Chile Verde could have used a bit more acidity (just my preference) but it was still good; and that Ham and Cheese... I mean for reference the Ham was thicker than the knife, it was picture worthy. Definitely would go again.
Heber Iraheta — Google review
Fantastic staff everyone was so kind. We got two small breakfast’s which was still very generous portions! Including the oatmeal. Coffee was good and hot. Food came out as expected and SUPER fast. We went around 9am on a Saturday had no wait.

Such a wonderful expirence! We were from out of town and I am so glad we came to this adorable cafe! Their puffs tasted like fairy candy and seriously melt in your mouth. Don't even get me started on how freaking amazing their whipped cream was (we ate it by the bowl full it was that amazing 😂). Their fruit was really fresh and service was awesome! The staff was really friendly and helpful! I felt like they had pretty reasonable pricing and lots of great options for different tastes!
Amberlee Stew — Google review
Overall, I think the service from Lexi was good and efficient. She was polite and on point with every step of the meal. My coffee was refilled on time. But, I am disappointed on my Heavenly Hot Cake. This is their signature item on the menu. My hot cakes were dried and not fluffy like it used to be in the past. My chicken fried steak was good because of its gravy. Hopefully, this post will help PAC gets back to delivering good quality food again.
Sgt. Sage — Google review
Food and atmosphere was great. The pancakes were the best I’ve ever eaten. The lower rating on the staff is only because our waitress seemed a little irritated with my indecisiveness - I felt I was bothering her but it was my first time here so I would’ve appreciated a little more grace.
Melissa Murray — Google review
We truly love this place and Today we had the best server I have ever had in my life, Ivette. You can tell she loves her job by the way she treats you. She might be the reason why we will continue to drive all the way from Provo to this restaurant. Great atmosphere and food but Ivette made the world of a difference in our time here.

Went in to PennyAnns and this was maybe my 3rd time, but first time at this location. Ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with a side of chocolate chip pancakes. My wife ordered the Big Breakfast with pancakes. The food tasted good and the service was good. They put chocolate chips just on top, not inside your pancakes so just be aware of that. The waitress was kind and attended to our needs. Overall, everything was good!
Sione Moli — Google review
Came for brunch on a Sunday ~11:00 am with a group of 6 adults. We used the waitlist which was great so once our full party arrived we were able to be seated not long after. The food was also fantastic and very filling. The only reason I'm leaving 3 stars is because the seating was awful. We were a bigger party so we were sat in a booth in the far right corner of the restaurant. The booth barely had any space in between the table and seats and we were sitting 3 people on each side. The people at each end had half their bum on the seat, the people in the middle had little to no arm space, and the person by the wall felt entirely claustrophobic, exacerbated by the fact that it was very hot in the restaurant as well. The booths realistically can only fit 4 people total, maybe 5 if you have small kids. We would have been happy to wait for a table with stand alone seats to make it more comfortable.

Penny Anne's is definitely one of the better breakfast eats in Salt Lake! Penny Anne's gets a great 4.7/5 for me! Food is very well done, higher quality than regular commercial breakfast joints, and honestly the prices are very fair. Not inexpensive, but honestly not much worse than those other breakfast places. Eggs Benedict is great and unique. It is a Croissant Benedict with both bacon and ham. It makes it super buttery and very delicious. The hollandaise sauce while a little broken, was still very flavourful and didn't take anything anyway. (It does come with tomato, I usually take mine off on a Benedict.) The scones are one of the best in Utah, always get one! Huge portion, flavourful dough, although could be a little more salted, great honey butter (always get extra), and for only like 4 bucks. The Hot Cakes (Sour Cream Pancakes) are always consistently great, fresh, and fluffy. Great syrups and toppings. My only quarrel are the potatoes on the side, the texture is always amazing, they're fried potatoes which I love, they just don't have seasoning or anything. Great place, great food, real breakfast!
Brenden Redd — Google review
The wait time was 85 minutes. Oh man. We read the reviews and we noticed most either seem to be 5 stars or 1 star. We thought hey, there's no way this place has won best of state 9 times and is this bad. Boy we were wrong. First off the male server had long fake fingernails, before you come at me for not being whatever, I don't care what you identify as, having your nasty dirty fingernails where we put our mouths to drink out of and touch our utensils is disgusting. There is a reason fake long nails are not allowed when working around food. The waiter did ask several times if we wanted something from the kitchen while he was back there so that was nice except no waters were refilled the entire time we were there. I guess you are supposed to ask for your drinks to be refilled if you're lucky enough to have the server show up in a timely manner. We read some reviews and decided to try the gravy before ordering, it was disgusting. No flavor, just salt. It says homemade. There's no way, unless opening a can is considered homemade now. We should have done a sample of the hollandaise sauce, unfortunately we didn't and paid the price, literally. When they brought the food out, the bottoms of the plates were touching other people food, so the bottom of the plates were gross and dripping food. We ordered the cordon bleu. Tried one bite, almost threw up, the chicken was rubbery and gross, the hollandaise sauce tasted like runny rancid mayonnaise, no spices, nothing. All the adults at the table tried it and it was unanimously disgusting. We must have gotten lucky with the pancakes, they tasted really good and so did the chile verde nachos. They do give very few chips, so keep that in mind. The potatoes as others have said are stale and no flavor. The eggs were okay. We are 99% sure the French toast is just bread dipped in eggs, maybe a splash of milk, but our child who is not picky with anything French toast related spit out his food into a napkin. Again, all adults tried it and were amazed they messed up French toast. In the end they discounted half of the cordon bleu even though it was barely touched. (Will include a photo for reference) Whatever, it is what it is, I would say trust your instincts, and if you are adamant to try this place, try a sample before you go all in. There is also a waiting area in the back by the bathrooms which they finally mentioned after we stood there awkwardly for 15 minutes. Overall, we will never go here again. The 2 stars are for the pancakes and the chile verde sauce.

Restaurant
Sauce Boss Southern Kitchen in Draper, Utah stands out as one of the few dining options offering authentic cuisine from the American South. Created by chef and owner Julius Thompson, this establishment started as a food truck and later established its physical location in 2019. The restaurant boasts a clean dining room with polite and approachable staff who provide informative service. Each menu item is remarkable, showcasing distinct flavor profiles.
Absolutely top notch. Dining room was clean, all the staff was polite, approachable, and informative. All our menu items were fabulous and I could taste completely different flavor profiles in each item. Black eyed peas were amazing and the cornbread was sweet & crumbly just like my grandpa from East Texas used to make. The honey butter was so good it eat Id eat it on an old shoe. We will definitely be back.🖤🖤

It was just my son and I at home one night, and I'd been wanting to try Sauce Boss Southern Kitchen's soul food for a while, so it was a fun surprise dinner. We shared everything, starting with the bacon cheese fries and two sweet teas (and they are sweet, and delicious). Really good and unique flavored fries, but too much for the two of us. Next was the catfish, golden splendor shell pasta, and spiced corn. Catfish was too heavily breaded for my taste, but the breading was well-seasoned, crisp, and not soggy. The shells were good, but I wouldn't want a larger portion (like as a main) and the corn was yummy. The slice of cornbread was bomb. The catfish meal can easily serve 2 people. Next time I would get the fried chicken or shrimp and grits, collard greens and okra (if they have it), and I'm thinking of doing it as a takeout family dinner soon. After letting dinner sit a while (the food is quite heavy), we finished at home with the apple bread pudding. I'm a bread pudding connoisseur and thought it was divine.

So happy to find this place in Draper! The service was quick and friendly, the value for price was outstanding and the food was amazing! A few in our group had never tried some of these dishes and while I have had different variations of this food, Chef’s interpretations were on point! Grits were creamy, sauces were flavorful, catfish was perfectly breaded and fried, greens had a nice vinegary tang. Really enjoyed ourselves and our meal. Congratulations and continue to do what you do, you can really taste the love in your food!! Will definitely recommend to others and be back!

Everything was amazing but you have to save room for lemon bars! And make sure to get the yams as a side. This is REAL southern food and was some of the overall best food I have had in Utah. I ordered the fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and collared greens. The fried chicken was crispy, fresh, seasoned really well and not at all greasy. The maple syrup / hot sauce mix that came with it was also very good even though it may sound like a weird combination. My wife got the shrimp Mac and cheese with yams and corn. The Mac and cheese sauce was really thick and delicious. It stuck onto the noodles very well so every bite was very cheesy and rich. Service was great with a southern and family atmosphere. All the food is made to order fresh so don’t expect it to be fast food speed. We will absolutely be coming back!

This restaurant is located in the Salt Lake City area. We live in the south, so visiting here it’s great to find southern food. All of our food choices were delicious. They serve chicharrones as an appetizer, that were great as well. Fried chicken was very crisp and delicious. The pork chops were great as well. They’re red tea is delicious as well. Give this place a try.

It was our first time trying Sauce Boss and it did not disappoint. The service was fantastic. The chef came out to check on us and the food was great. Huge portions. My favorite thing was definitely the golden spendor (Mac and cheese) the corn, cornbread and fried chicken were also great. It does take a bit to get your food but they warn you about that when you sit down, they cook your meal to order. My husband enjoyed our date night hanging out talking while our food was being freshly prepared.

It’s the first time I came check this place out. It’s recommended by my colleague a while ago and I have saved it on my list for a long time. I am so glad I finally made it here. It’s a super cute family owned place with THE BEST southern style fried chicken I have ever had! Their fries were also super good, fresh, crispy outside and soft inside. just the way I like them to be! Definitely recommend you try it out and be sure you check their opening hours before you go since they kind of have a limited opening hours(that’s actually the reason why I haven’t been here earlier!).

Absolutely loved our meal here on Saturday! The chicken fried chicken was delicious and perfectly crispy! Loved the beet salad and the housemade lemonades and red drink! The collard greens were the best I’ve ever had and that’s saying a lot since we moved from Florida 3 years ago. Just really good southern cooking. Everything we had was great, not to mention service was awesome and the owner stopped by the tables to check on everyone. Will definitely come back again!

Food did not meet expectations in general. It was good! Not great.. and definitely not worth the price. My chicken was burned in the bottom, the collard greens are not for me (or my brother) and the food quality in general felt good. Again not amazing or great. I definitely get a good feeling in there though. It’s very energetic and feels southern. It’s expensive for what you get quality wise but portions were good sized. The waitress was nice and smiley. Lots of families eating here so I assume it’s a good place to go to when you have family dinner plans. I wouldn’t go back though. I was very disappointed because I was hoping it was somewhere I’d love to go to again but it really didn’t hit! Sad. If you really love souther style food to the max then I’d say go here!
Ian Campbell — Google review
The food is so good, Guy Fieri featured it last year on his show. This place is well worth a little detour off I-15. It has all the staples you’d expect from Southern cuisine: fried chicken, catfish, grits, and even cornbread slice so big I usually end up taking it home. I must confess last time the cornbread was a bit too dry for my taste, but the grits with shrimp and bacon was superb as always. We were lucky enough to enjoy the catfish shipment that had just arrived and was fried to perfection. Thank you Chef Julius Thompson for bringing real Southern cuisine to Salt Lake City! P.S.: Expect spending around $30 pp.

Oh my carbs! We loved the sides. The chicken wasn't my favorite, but I'd try another entree. So lucky to have a unique cuisine choice at the south end of the valley.

My gal pals and I went out for a birthday celebration at the Sauce Boss Southern Kitchen in Draper last night. If you want some delicious good home style cooking, go to the Sauce Boss. I had the pork shank on a bed of mashed potatoes, collard greens, with seasoned vegetables, which was blistered grape tomatoes on a bed of arugula. The meat was soo tender, cooked to perfection. Collard greens were also tender and flavorful. Two of my friends had the shrimp and grits, and the chicken fried chicken. They couldn't stop raving about their dinners. They serve freshly brewed iced tea, sweet and unsweetened. The executive chef/owner actually brought our entrees out to us. Such a nice touch to be able to talk with him. Service was impeccable. Ambiance 4 1/2 stars. Service 5 stars. Food 5 stars plus. I can't wait to come back.

Gotta make it here and have one of the best southern dinners around. Fried chicken is de-boned chicken thighs. Good breading. Sides are great- shells and cheese and mashed potatoes are some of the best. Then you have the corn bread. Best corn bread I have had. Owner met seated us and the staff was friendly.

What a hidden gem! We had originally tried to go to another place but I was sooo glad it worked out to find this awesome southern restaurant. I have no idea how good their food was! People were so nice and so sweet. The food was delicious, fresh and a treat! They start you off with an appetizer. Please laugh at my picture because my husband ate it before I could take a picture and he loved it. The pork sandwich was huge and delicious! Mine was the shrimp and grits and it was divine. So much food for your serving and so delicious! The server said their menu is safe for allergies, but there are so many of mu daughter's food allergies here that I won't chance it. It was a fun atmosphere and experience. Go try this hidden gem and yes, I will be going back many times.

Wonderful food! Our server was very kind and the food was very delicious. The fried pork skin, fries, catfish, pork shank and sides were all so delicious! Love that the portion sizes were huge too. So happy that Chef Julius is here in Utah creating these amazing dishes for us. Will be back again to try the other things on the menu!

The food here was so good! Real southern food has been put on the Utah map thanks to Chef Julius and Sauce Boss. Coming from Las Vegas, and NYC, I was skeptical about the quality and taste of a Southern Kitchen restaurant in Draper. Let me tell you... Sauce Boss blew me away! The food tastes like you're eating out of grandma's kitchen, and you're so satisfied you want to take a nap afterwards. I had never had mac and cheese at a restaurant that truly tasted like it was home cooked, and this mac and cheese was perfect! Chef came out and table touched to make sure the food was good, and even cracked a few jokes with us. I really enjoyed that there was plenty of seating available, but it didn't feel like you were sitting right on top of the next diners. Thank you for bringing this culinary experience to UT!

We had a great experience! Our server was helpful, sweet, and attentive. The food was delicious. We tried the chicken fried chicken, blackened pork chops, and pumpkin cheesecake! The meal was really big, so we had leftovers for lunch the next day and it was still tasty!

What a wonderful place. Great food, amazing service, and food that is extremely tasty and comforting. You can't go wrong. I had this place written down from seeing an episode of Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, and we decided to finally drop by. I had never had Southern cooking before and was unsure about grits and other items. I wanted to try them, but unsure about ordering a whole entre only to be disgusted. The waitress brought me a sample of grits before we ordered, and I was hooked. I then ordered the shrimp and bacon on grits and loved every bite. Although I could probably just order the sweet potatoes and cornbread and be completely happy, they are to die for. Stop in, you won't be disappointed. A bonus is that the owner and chef of this place hand-delivers all meals!! Now that's service.

Situated in Draper, UT, it has gained a reputation as one of the top dining spots for those seeking delicious meals. Offering an inviting ambiance and a bustling atmosphere even on weekdays, Gourmandise is frequented by patrons looking to indulge in their favorite baked goods or simply enjoy a relaxing cafe experience.
I got the turkey bacon panini with the quinoa salad and chips. It was light and very delicious. My boyfriend and I also got French onion soup which was so yummy but we ate that too quick before I remembered to take a photo. He enjoyed his sandwhich with the plum dressing as well. I liked the casual environment and desserts are 10/10. Fun place to visit if you’re in Draper.

Gourmandise is always a safe bet for brunch. Their French Toast is amazing and they also have quite a bit GF options. I really miss their asparagus breakfast dish. But this location is always so busy! It’s kid friendly but their brunch options for kids are quite limited (my 8 year old always resorts to their pizza at 10am).

Oh my, what a lovely experience. The menu had so many luscious sounding choices it was hard to choose- and that wasn’t even dessert! It was a bit slow, but the door signed warned as such. Attentive to water (which was great), and brought everything perfectly, even checking is I could get a substitution. ( I couldn’t, but she tried to make alternate suggestions) I had the Blueberry/ spinach sandwich - and tomato soup. So good! My husband loves, and was filled , with the brisket grilled cheese and pomme Fritas. Highly recommend.

Decent food, just over priced a bit. I got their burger and fries $16 I believe and better value at astro burger getting their astro burger. My wife got their beef stew and it was OK, no phenomenal flavors, more bland. Super nice servers, but I think their burger needs to be either fancier, or more fancy fries, or something to stand out for that price, but it's just an ok burger. It's all decent food, but just over priced I think. I won't be back.

We saw the great reviews and lovely pictures of the pastries and I knew I had to come here. Unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. We joined the waitlist on the way and were seated as soon as we arrived. The restaurant was quite busy. We were greeted immediately by our waitress but hadn't had time to review the menu. We then waited probably 20 minutes for her to return to the table. We got the Miso salmon sandwich and the quiche de jour. The miso salmon sandwich was very good. The wasabi aioli did bite but was not overdone. The quiche (bacon brie) was just okay, the flavor was nothing special. The serving size on the quiche was substantial. We contemplated sending the quiche back as they have a guarantee that you will like your food, but the waitress was no where to be found. Even after deciding to keep the dish, i kept an eye out for her because i had ordered the cucumber side and gotten grapes instead. In the end we gave up on that idea too. When our waitress delivered food to the table next to us, we grabbed her to get our check and two pastries to go. We got the raspberry pistachio tart and the lime coconut bread pudding (labeled as a new offering). The bread pudding was amazing. 5 stars for that. The raspberry tart was good, but nothing to write home about.

I love this place. My wedding cakes were all from here. The sweets are good and European. You can eat breakfast, a meal, a snack or dessert and you won't be disappointed. Enjoy!

Loved the Brisket Grilled Cheese and my daughter enjoyed her Euro Burger. Such great flavor in that grilled cheese with the pickled onions. Not pictured is the Rice Pudding that’s absolutely amazing! Will definitely come back to try other dishes.

Omg this was sooo good! Great service even though they were super busy for dining In. The hostess helped us right away as we walked in and let us know we could just go up to the dessert case. Everything looked soo good. It was so hard to choose. I've been to alot of bakeries and had ok desserts but this one hit the spot. So freaking good! Definitely recommend!!!

Such a fun brunch place. The menu is awesome especially for brunch which I totally forgot about. I’ve been here for other meals and treats but forgot how good the options are. My friends and I got some pastries to split too which was great. I saw a picture of the steak sandwich and had to get it, I don’t regret it!

Just beyond fabulous! This was an impromptu lunch visit and everything was superb! I had the French Dip and it was fresh. My friend had the Greek salad and loved it! We bought many past

Food is really good especially the french dip and crème brûlée and reasonably priced but the service needs improvement! Server only stops once every 20-30 minutes and doesn’t clean up our table nor gave us dessert spoons. I hope y’all do a better job in the future!

Incredible food! So fresh and delicious. Great service. The atmosphere is like a French cafe. And those pastries and desserts are UNBELIEVABLY DELICIOUS!😋

Food was okay. Definitely had higher hopes as it came highly recommended. My husband’s steak salad was overcooked and dry. My Greek salad had artichokes that tasted like dirt. It was pretty busy so our waiter left pictures of water at our table and only came to fill up our cups once. I would try one more time before I rule it out as a place I would not go to again.

I’ve been looking for a more European style bakery with pastry options other than donuts and muffins, and I found it! (Though it isn’t QUITE European. The servings are way too big 😉) I love the relaxed vibes. The lattes are lovely. My breakfast sandwich was delightful. I’ve had the same server, Sergio, a couple of times now, and he’s fantastic. They are known for their Kouign Amann, but I wasn’t a fan of the big sugar cubes chilling in the center of the pastry. I plan on trying more of their baked goods.

They have spiral croissants!!! They are actually pretty good. Very flakey, buttery and decadent. I had the pumpkin pecan one and it was super good! It had something like a pumpkin pie filling and a sweet frosting on the outside. The coffee was way too sweet but their lattes have definitely gotten better. This is still one of my favorite places to stop for a midday treat and coffee :)

Nice atmosphere, it was even quite busy on Tuesday morning. I went with my stepson for coffee after having blood tests. The waitress was super nice and patient with us. He had a delicious hot chocolate and I had a Chai Late. For food, we ordered a Sandwich for him that came with a small bowl of grapes and one for me, accompanied by sauteed vegetables. Everything was delicious and well served. The chocolate mousse pie was also delicious. The pistachio pie, too. Also the pasta and the French meat pot with mashed potatoes are amazing.

Great food and such a fun experience. The restaurant itself is very beautiful. We tried the toasted Brie and cauliflower as appetizers, the toasted Brie was absolutely amazing, and the fried cauliflower had the perfect crunch to mimic fried chicken. Our waiter was friendly and attentive and service was timely. I tried their margherita chicken gnoochi and the pasta was amazing. Perfect consistency. My husband got their 28oz rib eye (for the second time) and loved it. The butter cake and salted vanilla ice cream was so wonderful, loved every meal item we tried. We're excited to bring out of town friends back to this place!

Cultivate Craft Kitchen offers a creative culinary experience with some mixed feelings. Lunch with friends turned into an opportunity to try a delicious range of options including 3 different starters: Cauliflower, Burrata, and Beet Tartare. See the pics. The Cauliflower was the top choice here, yet the portion left you wanting a little more for the money. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. With attentive and well timed service, our drinks were always tended to and the lunch choices were delivered at the right time for us. We enjoyed our gathering with each other and never felt rushed. We got the French Dip, Udon Soup with Jumbo Prawns, Bacon & Chicken Gnocchi, and Taco Trio. The bun for the French Dip sandwich was not right for dipping. It was too soft to be dunked, needing a sturdier option. Tasty on its own, but not the juicy choice it was meant to be. The Gnocchi was very flavorful and a group favorite. The noodles were devoured and yet the taco trio just didn’t deliver the same delight that the price and description seeks to promise. Overall, if you want a creative seasonal menu to choose from for a meal, this place is a great choice to find your new favorite dish. With a few adjustments to some choices here, this would be a 5-star dining option.

Definitely go back!! The staff and ambiance was great for a good meal. The food was also great. Plenty of space to eat and enjoy side/shareables. The waitress was quick, kind and informative about the food. Everything was truly 5 stars and well priced.

Such a cute place. It is a hidden gem. Went there last night for an early valentine's dinner and from the food to the wait staff everything was lovely. Our waitress Natalie was pleasant and she had the best recommendations. I had the tacos and my husband had the hamburger. The ambiance is beautiful. Give it a try. They are reasonably priced and fully staffed. You won't regret it.

Went here for my partners birthday dinner. The ambiance was really nice and definitely the best part. The food was good, drinks were great, and the customer service was just alright. Three stars overall. We went on a Tuesday night and it wasn’t busy at all. Everything came out fresh and hot from the kitchen. We started with the arancini which was nice and flavorful. I got the burger which wasn’t anything special, and my partner got the gnocchi which is the most notable thing we tasted. The pasta had a great texture and seemed like it was made in house. Not racing to go back, but will probably revisit at some point and bring some friends because the location is fun and so close to us.

I saw some pictures and reviews of Cultivate a few weeks ago and put in on my list to try. I have been twice now and I am super impressed. First of all the staff has been remarkable. They were perfectly attentive, and not overbearing. They were so friendly and engaging. I always felt like they were anticipating what we needed. The food was fantastic. The flavor combinations seemed to be well considered and they take great care on presentation and food temperature. I feel like the ingredients, which are advertised as locally sourced were so fresh and perfectly prepared. I love that they have a seasonal menu so when we go back through the year there will be a new experience. It is now on the top of our list for date night and basically any other occasion. So glad to have this place nearby.

This is exquisite fine dining. The ingredients are rare and very high quality. The charcuterie board demonstrated this to us most clearly. The staff was very kind and responsive, practically all you could ask for. I recommend lunch here as it's all we've been to thus far but it really is an excellent experience for your palate if you can afford it.

This may be my new favorite restaurant in Utah. The quality of our food was top tier. I got the burger and you can tell they grind the beef in house (brisket and chuck blend) it took the top spot for my favorite burger. For dessert we had the butter cake and everything was delicious about it, the ice cream is hand made as well cake. Im excited to go back and try the rest of the menu.

The food at Cultivate is excellent. I always love a place that has enough awesome starters you wouldn't even need an entree. I can't rave enough about how good the crispy Cauliflower and Carrot medley starters are. I would go back just for these. They also make great cocktails, although way overpriced (we paid $19 per). The entrees we tried were decent (salmon and gnocchi), but I'd try something else next time. My only real complaint is how close the tables are together. We had people on the left and right of us listening in on everything we talked about. I get it though, given the size of the building. Still recommend the entire place.

I cannot say enough about this restaurant. It has become a go-to when beautiful wife and I want a nice evening out together. We've tried a good portion of the menu now and are just in love with the food here. Tonight we went here for a small celebration of our 21st anniversary together. They printed up these special little menus for us. How cool is that! The staff knew it was our anniversary. Everybody gave us great congratulations. Our server, Charley, was just amazing. She was very kind. She knew the menu well and she always explained what was on the plate when she brought the food by. Beyond that she was just a very genuine person. They're lucky to have her. But the food! Beautiful wife and I like to bicker about the starters we're going to have because they're all so amazing. We always agree on the carrot trio. But then we bicker about whether we're going to get the English chips or the cauliflower and now this Arancini... Their foods just brilliant. We Don't usually get dessert but we never leave cultivate craft kitchen without eating butter cake and enjoying an espresso. I can't stress it enough. Eat the butter cake, if you don't eat anything else, just eat the butter cake, one more time butter cake. So you should support them and eat here often!
