Tram Car Pizza is a dining establishment located at Mineral Basin in the Tram area. It offers handmade pizza, available whole or by the slice, and also serves hot sandwiches. This eatery provides a convenient option for skiers and snowboarders looking to refuel after spending time on the slopes in cold weather conditions.
Delicious pizza! We bought a pie between the 3 of us and was plenty! Delicious crust with warm cheesy topping and was just what we needed after being out in the cold! 👍

Can't speak to the quality of the food as we weren't served any. Asked the woman behind the counter for a 16" pizza. She just glared at me without saying a word. So I continued my order while she made no response to anything I said. After a minute or so, another person appeared and informed me they were out of cheese, which oh well, but that was a very strange and uncomfortable interaction.

Sent my teenage kids over to get pizza at 6:30 tonight, and they refused to make pizza. But open till 8?

Crispy crust and very fast service. I was here in the off season so I was one of a handful of people at the resort. I wanted a pizza and they were still open for an early dinner. I had a 12” pizza for dinner and lunch the next day. Pretty decent options for sauces and toppings. The pizza was ready in ~7 minutes.

I don't like to leave bad reviews but this is a 0* tops!!! We got 3 "very small" pieces of pizza for $21-PLUS tip!!! So I thought "ok It IS Snowbird so it must be the best pizza in town for $21 for 3 pieces" oh my goodness was I wrong. It is the WORST pizza I have ever had, Chewy, the cheese on it I couldn't even CHEW it!!! Sauce? What sauce?? It tastes like they bought it from a cheap convenience store, $5 for a whole pizza. Eww I do not recommend this place!!
Diane Allen — Google review
Went here at 430 tonight to satisfy a pizza craving. The guy was very put out that he had to make a pizza. He also forgot to make our garlic bread. Pizza was mediocre but the service really sucked.
Jeremy Bevan — Google review
It's a decent pizza, and you can get beer. That's not a given in Utah. However, even the canned "craft" beer is 3.2, although they picked ones that have good flavor. The pie in medium crust, with enough toppings and cheese. It's cooked to order. It tastes good. Certainly better than most chain places. At $55 for a three topping 16" pizza, three beers, and a soda, it's pretty pricey. Still, it's the cheapest option of anywhere to eat at the resort while staying here at the Cliff in June.
Rod Schiffman — Google review
The pizza sauce is disgusting and the cheese is wierd. I thought the crust was ok. Little Ceasars is better.

The Forklift is an American restaurant located in Snowbird. It provides a range of breakfast and lunch options that customers can choose from. Additionally, they serve soups, sandwiches, burgers, and have a daily lunch special called the Blue Plate Special. Perfect for a hearty breakfast before hitting the slopes. Fast service and yummy food. We had the breakfast quesadilla and the veggie bowl. We came back every morning if our stay. Avocado toast was also a hit!

Loved their eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was awesome and the egg yokes were perfectly runny. Went a second time and they were consistent.

Snowbird season pass holder last year. Had a terrible experience where the waiter just decided to stop coming by our table and serving us. Did she forget we were there? Very odd experience, never going back. Ended up not eating or drinking and had to go ask the manager for the bill. The manager did not even offer a discount or help in any way. Disgraceful to snowbirds name. Never had something like this happen to me. Sad for Snowbird.
John Campos — Google review
The vibe is great, but my burger made me sick bc it was so undercooked. Our waitress could not have cared less about us or our table, which is fine. Just go find another job if you’re going to be bad at customer service. Food is indeed pricey, not bad, maybe just specify how you want your meat cooked?
Jake Robins — Google review
Was up hiking Albion Basin, stopped in for a quick bite on Sunday at 1130a. Was hoping for breakfast or brunch but ended up with lunch. Breakfast only served until 11 (even on Sunday??) got the turkey bacon avocado sandwich and I am pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The frys were also surprisingly good. Service was tops Kristen took great care of us. Wifey got the turkey burger was not impressed with the Gouda cheese it was not a good match. Would have been better with a less strong flavor. Prices are resort prices so be ready to spend.

Definitely not a bad place so late in the ski season. Service was so/so considering Snowbird decided to stay open an extra week. Our server was super friendly and very accommodating but she had way too many tables. Food was delicious. Will definitely be coming back to try some other items on the menu.
Rudolf Marusic — Google review
The Forklift remains the best restaurant up at Snowbird. Even when they make mistakes, the Forklift makes up for it with great their customer service. The food is always fantastic and our waiter Joe took went the extra mile to ensure everything was great. Snowbird often struggles during the summer to balance price and value, charging way more in some cases yet not quite matching up the service and food with the price. Often times we feel like the attitude is that some of these venues feel like we’re not good enough to be there. That’s not the case with the Forklift. They treat us well, make great food, and have a friendly, inviting atmosphere. And some fantastic French toast.

A delicious Sunday lunch. We made it just after 11 so we had to order off the lunch menu. Great spot to watch the first snowfall of the season! The staff was very helpful and checked in on us. Staff and customers wore masks. There was a hand sanitizer dispenser at the counter and the entrance. I had the Banh Mi sandwich, which was delicious. They used American radishes instead of daikon which made it unique. Very fresh and flavorful. I ended up cutting it and eating it with a fork and spoon (I didn’t want my hands to get fishy) I would for sure get this sandwich again! I ordered a side salad which ranch. I should have kept kept the fries because they are delicious and had some type of coating to them. My friend had the Turkey, bacon, and avocado sandwich (no avocado though). They thought it was pretty tasty. The bread was very tasty!

The Summit at Snowbird is a relaxed option with scenic mountain vistas that serves familiar lunch favorites like pizza, salads, and beer. While it may be called a cafeteria, it truly stands out with its elevated location on Hidden Peak at 11,000 feet and panoramic windows that offer breathtaking views. Visitors can enjoy their meals in the stunning atrium dining area, complete with real plates and silverware. The attentive service adds to the overall experience.
The Summit is amazing. Great selection of food, great atmosphere, I would recommend the pizza. There is a nice selection of drinks and they will broadcast football on Sundays. When you are done with eating take in some breathtaking views and take a few selfies from the top of the peaks. Then take the gondola, lifts, or trails down.

It’s amazing they rarely get this place open for Christmas time. Really a shame but a total vibe when it is open

I don’t know how will give this place less than 5 stars, it is so beautiful. Breat taking views, best skiing resort, the dinneg here is one of the best restaurant views, the tram experience was one of the best i had. Love it so much visiting again.
Brook Masood — Google review
With feets of fluffy snow falling, the only fantastic view I had was of the stunning atrium dining area and of the best prime rib dinners ever. Real plates and silverware; bonus! Very kind and attentive service. You really have to do something about the ridiculous amount of snowfall- like offering new legs after lunch as mine were spent on the POW!
Marc Johnson — Google review
This place is a joke. You pay $40 to ride the tram to the top and they do not have the full menu advertised online. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and looking forward to a special lunch together without the kids. we get up there to find out they were only serving panini’s and pizza!! I have a gluten/dairy allergy and the only option I could get was a $10 fruit plate because all the premade salads were covered in cheese!! My husband paid $10 for mediocre pizza. We hiked down the mountain so we essentially paid $100 for a one-way ride. Views are great but save your money!! Not worth it!

The brisket was tender and delicious, and their peppercorn sauce went amazing with it! The chef was very accommodating and helpful with our special diet and getting us the food we could eat, and it was so nice to enjoy a great lunch at the top of the mountian!
Sara C — Google review
Fantastic views of little cottonwood, big cottonwood, and American fork canyons. End of September is a fantastic time to see the fall colors! And the hike up to hidden peak (via Peruvian gulch trail) is so beautiful. Loved the tram ride down as well. Great any time of year!
Jennie Twitchell — Google review
This place is great! There are a lot of food choices and great views 11,000 feet high on Hidden Peak. Take your food up stairs and enjoy the amazing views and uncrowded seating. Once up stairs step out on the quiet balcony by the stairs on the South East side. The views are great!
Troy Olsen — Google review
Unique experience, rode the tram to the summit through the clouds. Good side activity of Octoberfest.
Joe Szymanski — Google review
Great views, love Snowbird, but the grilled cheese was absolutely terrible. $18 for a small handful of chips and a grilled cheese with barely toasted bread and unmelted cheese. The issue was that they were using the same panini press for the grilled cheese and other, thicker, paninis so the grilled cheese wasn’t getting enough heat.
Danny Korn — Google review
Definitely a nice, new looking restaurant at the top of the ski slopes. Clean. Large salad bar. Sandwiches freshly made. Soup and hot entrees beyond the typical hot dog and fast food. Be prepared to pay a little more though.

The food is good, the views are amazing, and the prices are what you would expect them to be at the top of a mountain. 😐

Alta Lodge is a classic ski lodging nestled at the end of the road, offering easy access to the legendary ski resorts of Alta and Snowbird. With over 500 inches of snow annually, it's a haven for powder enthusiasts. The lodge provides various accommodation options, from casual rooms to dormitories, all with ski-in/ski-out access to the Wildcat Base. While staying here, guests can enjoy complimentary breakfast, tea, and dinner.
We got married at Alta Lodge this June and we couldn’t be happier with how everything went! First, The sales director and site coordinator, Rosie and Molly, made it so easy and stress free. The entire staff was easygoing and professional from the start. Second, the view for our ceremony and reception was beautiful which many of our guests enjoyed. Lastly, our reception food was exceptional and the Sunday brunch was also very delicious. All of our guests who stayed at the lodge had a wonderful time.

I stayed at Alta Lodge in the Alta Ski Resort in February of 2024. I recently had the pleasure of staying at Alta Lodge during a February getaway to the breathtaking slopes of Alta, Utah. From the moment I arrived, I was thoroughly impressed with every aspect of this charming mountain retreat. The skiing at Alta and Snowbird is second to none (greatest snow on earth). The cleanliness of Alta Lodge is commendable, reflecting a commitment to maintaining high standards. The common areas, dining spaces, and, of course, the rooms were impeccably tidy. It's evident that the staff takes pride in providing guests with a spotless environment. The location of Alta Lodge is nothing short of spectacular. Nestled amidst the majestic peaks of the Wasatch Mountains, the lodge offers unparalleled access to the world-class ski slopes of Alta. The convenience of being just steps away from the lifts made my ski experience truly seamless and enjoyable. The staff at Alta Lodge deserves special recognition for their warmth and courtesy. Every interaction, from check-in to dining recommendations, was met with genuine friendliness. Their dedication to ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay was evident throughout my visit. Dan and Mike at the Sitzmark Club were great (Dan has been at Alta Lodge since 1998 and Mike has worked there for 10 years). Speaking of dining, the on-site restaurant at Alta Lodge exceeded all expectations. The culinary experience was a delightful journey of flavors, featuring locally inspired dishes that showcased the region's culinary richness. Each meal was a highlight of my stay, and the attentive staff added to the overall dining enjoyment. The rooms at Alta Lodge are cozy and well-appointed, providing a perfect retreat after a day of outdoor adventures. The attention to detail in the room decor and amenities contributed to a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere, allowing me to unwind and recharge for the next day's activities. Considering the exceptional location, cleanliness, courteous staff, and the overall experience, I found Alta Lodge to be an incredible value. The quality of the stay far exceeded the price paid, making it a standout choice for those seeking both luxury and affordability in the heart of Alta. In conclusion, my stay at Alta Lodge was nothing short of remarkable. I very highly recommend this gem in the mountains to anyone seeking an unforgettable winter retreat. Whether you're an avid skier or simply looking for a serene mountain escape, Alta Lodge offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and charm. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

We chose Alta Lodge for our wedding based on the charm of the lodge and the absolutely stunning mountain views and wildflowers. However, we quickly discovered that one of the best aspects of having our wedding at Alta Lodge was working with the wonderful staff! Everyone was friendly and responsive leading up to our wedding, and worked incredibly hard to make our big day run smoothly; even after we had to postpone our celebration for an entire year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The venue is beautiful (of course), the food was excellent and all of our guests’ dietary needs were expertly taken care of, and the staff was flawless with setting up, taking down, and everything in between. Leading this highly capable and friendly team was our day-of coordinator Molly Austin. We honestly cannot say enough about Molly – she answered all of our questions (there were a lot), she was an invaluable resource while we were planning our wedding, and then she helped us execute our special day to absolute perfection! Molly and the Alta Lodge staff went above and beyond at every turn, making our wedding a spectacular event! We could not be happier with the venue and the people, and we are truly grateful that we chose Alta Lodge for our wedding. There is no need to look at any other venue, book Alta Lodge for your celebration right away! Thank you, Molly! Thank you everyone at Alta Lodge!

Oh my goodness its beautiful, It's so high up the mountains you can look down at the clouds. And with over 802 inches of snow this year, It may not all be disappearing to July or August, unbelievable. So much fun here, just be careful coming up and down the mountains. Your ears will pop. For real

I got married here September 30th, 2023 and would recommend it to anyone!! Rosie and Misti were very accommodating to make all our dream decor and wedding work out perfectly! From last minute changes and accommodations, to setting up a shuttle for a group hike, to replying to constant emails and questions. They were nothing short of kind and as excited for us as we were. We got pretty rowdy, and all of the staff was so kind and attentive to all of our needs! If you're looking for a wedding venue, look no further and make sure to get the weekend package!!

Brunch was amazing!! Fantastic buffet, assortment of foods and drinks and you can not beat the view!! The server was meh, not great about keeping the coffee hot, and not great about explaining the brunch offerings - we had to walk around to find the buffet. The live music was a treat but you can't hear it at all outside; a few speakers could fix that. It was a soft jazz and make the experience that much more enjoyable. We'll still go back, cause a quick drive up the canyon for a yummy and beautiful brunch is always on my go-to list! Maybe we'll get a better server next time.

An authentic cozy ski lodge of yesteryear with so much character, and thoughtfully and beautifully designed additions. The gracious staff was eager to please. A special shout-out to the management team with above-and-beyond service: Rosie, Jamie and Maren.

Review for bruch only. Food was good, but does not compare well to similar brunch at Snowbasin. I probably would have still rated 3 stars and returned to try again but the service was horrible. Multiple servers were interacting with repeat customer/friends. As first time visitors we were neglected. When I spend over $100 on lunch for two I expect to see my server from time to time. I was hopeful that after the server apologized for poor service things would improve. Service remained poor (for us).

Had a lovely midweek stay at Alta Lodge this summer. The room was clean, the lodge quiet, and the scenery extraordinary. Breakfast was made fresh, and the staff was very attentive and friendly. As a UTAH resident, I will certainly be back in the low season to enjoy fresh air, away from the hustle and bustle of urban life in SLC.

We loved having our destination wedding at Alta Lodge! From the beginning with choosing the venue and getting in contact with Rosie to working with Clara leading up to the day, it couldn’t have been an easier wedding to plan. Never having seen the venue prior to arriving for our wedding, we were amazed with how beautiful the views were from the Lodge and how cozy it felt. Our guests loved having breakfast available and being steps away from beautiful hikes. We didn’t have to do a single thing the day of the wedding and were absolutely amazed with how smoothly everything went. The staff are so talented in what they do. Having our wedding night an exclusive event was also really nice and kept the evening intimate as we wanted. Thank you for being so organized and allowing us to remember this day for being such a good one!

Spent a few days here for a friends wedding Sept. ‘23. Allll of the staff has been incredibly friendly and helpful, and we wanted to leave an extra shoutout for SARAH! She worked with the catering for all of the wedding meals all three days. She could tell my partner and I were starving when we arrived late and although dinner was already done and cleaned up, she went in back and made some plates up for us. The following days she made sure to bring the hors d'oeuvre plates to us in the crowd to make sure we were fed properly. She had a great sense of humor and took care of everyone so well. Thank you Sarah!

Alta Lodge is blissful. We had our wedding here and it was absolutely perfect. The staff is attentive, patient, responsive and dedicated to making your experience as wonderful as possible. The venue itself is a beautiful tribute to the old school skiing tradition at Alta mixed with modern day comforts and accommodations travelers have come to expect. Plus you can’t beat the scenery of Little Cottonwood Canyon. Whether you’re looking for a skiing getaway, a weekend in the mountains, or a wedding venue, seriously consider this gorgeous place.

Alta Lodge and their staff went above and beyond for our wedding in August! From the very beginning Rosie answered all my questions and ensured I had all the info I needed. Ginny was our on site coordinator and I can’t begin to explain how helpful she was. Being out of state I knew things had the potential to be difficult in terms of communication, but boy did Ginny prove that wrong. She answered all my emails and we had calls weekly to square away all the details leading up to the big day. Wedding weekend itself was unbelievable at Alta lodge. Every staff member encountered had a smile on their face, especially Justin. I can’t say enough about Justin because he was truly so helpful and made the whole weekend go swimmingly. The venue itself was breathtaking. My guests are still talking about how we just had the most amazing back drop to our wedding. Ginny and all the staff again brought my dreams to life. The food was also spectacular! The pot stickers were especially good! I really could not recommend Alta Lodge enough! We cannot wait to come visit for our future anniversaries!

The Aerie restaurant, located in Snowbird resort, offers upscale American cuisine and an extensive wine selection in a vibrant dining area with breathtaking mountain vistas. Situated atop The Cliff Lodge hotel, this fine dining establishment provides both exceptional food and panoramic views through its windows. Open to both hotel guests and the general public, The Aerie is renowned for its Thanksgiving day buffet which showcases delicious dishes while offering a remarkable backdrop of ski slopes.
My boyfriend took me here for Valentines Day it was amazing. The view was perfect and the ambiance is very romantic. The food all came out in a timely manner and our expectations were exceeded with how tasty it was. The flavors are very complex and everything compliments each other so well.

We had no choice but to eat here for my birthday because we were inter-lodged due to a rockslide so we couldn’t make our reservation down the canyon. The service was amazing but the entree was not very good for $50+ a plate, we got the fondue and a free dessert as well which was good. I wouldn’t willingly eat here again but I think you’re paying for the experience of eating with a mountain view not the actual quality of the food. Probably wouldn’t eat here again but it wasn’t terrible

The restaurant offers a fancy ambiance perfect for enjoying the fall foliage. While the service could be friendlier, the food and drinks were top-notch. However, the prices are on the higher side, and larger portion sizes would be appreciated.

The Aerie is always a lovely experience, start to finish. Set among the peaks of the Wasatch Mountains, the sweeping views compliment the spectacular dining experience. I’ve dined here many times and am always blown away by the food, presentation, and wine selection. My favorite items are the meatloaf and the pineapple upside down cake. By far the best dining at Snowbird.

I had an amazing experience while dining with my family. Our server was super friendly and knowledgeable. The somm made exactly pairing, even impressing my wife who is picky about her wine. Food was prepared perfectly. You can't beat that view. We came just before sunset and it was absolutely breathtaking.

Had a great time here with my group of 8. Gratuity for large groups is automatically added to the check, so keep that in mind. Service was awesome--we had two waiters help us and they were polite and funny! The ambiance is nice as you're on the top floor of the Cliff Lodge, so the view of the mountains adds to the experience. Really yummy rolls with butter and oil/balsamic are included. All the dishes flavors are well thought out and the presentation was fantastic!

I'm not sure how they can say "The Aerie is for those who love the art of fine dining" because it is anything but fine dining! My husband and I decided to have a quick staycation at The Cliff Lodge and spend a day getting a massage, enjoying the spa amenities, hanging out by the pool, and then finishing the day with a nice meal at the resort. So we made a reservation at The Aerie. The service wasn't great. We were sat for 15 minutes, before we were greeted by the server's assistant asking about our water preference. After that, the service was just sub-par. We were one of 5 tables in the restaurant at the time. We started with two apps. First, the "Lily Oscar" (lump crab and poached asparagus - $32). The asparagus was great (and probably the highlight of the entire meal)! The lump crab tasted like tuna salad - there was way too much mayo and there wasn't much for "lump" either since it was all mushed together. Second, was the ceasar salad ($17). For the sliver of romaine I got, it was extremely overpriced. Also, I understand that some people don't like anchovies (then don't get a ceasar salad?), but to serve two pieces of anchovy in a separate dish on the plate, just seemed odd. The dressing was just ok. I ordered the "Roasted Scottish Salmon" ($48). The béarnaise sauce seemed like it was poured out of the Reese Bearnaise Sauce jar without even being warmed up at all. The sweet peas weren't what I expected, since they looked more like a snow pea to me. My husband ordered the "Duck Confit" ($45). It was super crispy and extremely dry overall (odd for a confit, right?). The slaw tasted ok, but was not visually appealing/appetizing. I ordered the "Rosemary Gimlet" ($13.50). It was decent, but was too heavy on the lime juice so the only rosemary you got in the cocktial was the sprig garnish. It is extremely difficult to find a good cocktail in Utah - and it's not here. Fine dining? No. Would I go back? No.

The Aerie is a great spot for a nice dinner in Snowbird at the Cliff Lodge. We went for our second time tonight and had another great experience. The food and service was outstanding. The restaurant is beautiful. We highly recommend it here!

We made a reservation for their “NYE” party and they sat us in an EMPTY QUIET DINING ROOM. The dining room next door was lively, with live music, people talking. They put us in a dead quiet adjacent room, no music or NYE celebration; we were the only ones there! The waiters were exceptionally kind and professional - this has nothing to do with them. Not happy with the host. Like other reviewers said, the food was not great.

Hit this place for the Thanksgiving day buffet, so I can't speak to their regular menu. But the buffet was great and you can't beat the view of the ski slopes while dining. At $70 a head it's a little pricy and you can probably find a better buffet for this price. But overall totally worth it.
