Seafood restaurant
Harry and the Natives is a long-standing family-owned restaurant in Hobe Sound, offering a simple American menu with a focus on seafood, burgers, and sandwiches. The eclectic Old Florida atmosphere provides a unique dining experience, complete with occasional live music and outdoor seating overlooking the scenic Hobe Sound Intracoastal Waterway. The restaurant also features indoor plumbing, a full bar, catering services, and a gift shop.
Such a fun place to eat! They even had a live band on a Saturday afternoon and they were awesome! Atmosphere is great and staff super friendly. I can not have gluten and Stephanie was a great help :) I had a burger and it was great!

WOW. I am incredibly impressed with this place. The atmosphere is awesome but the food is AMAZING. We ordered the coconut shrimp, bison burger, and blackened chicken Alfredo. We loved all of it. I just want to say that this place had the best chicken Alfredo I have EVER had at a restaurant, 10/10. My Alfredo came with the broccoli and cheddar soup which was very good. I’d order it again. My boyfriend loved the bison burger and couldn’t keep his hands off to coconut shrimp before a could snap a picture so needless to say it was delicious. I really liked the sauce it came with. Sammy Jo was our waiter. She was great. Friendly and attentive. If we ever come back to this area. We will 100% be back.

A wonderful eclectic & family friendly local restaurant. Harry & the Natives restaurant is a place to see & located in Hope Sound, FL.. Very casual atmosphere with great food. They had a live band as well. I had a bison burger & my friend Suzan had shrimp and grits. Definitely, a place to try.

Excellent food! Willing to work with dietary restrictions. Very dog friendly. Can’t beat the atmosphere. Love all the signs posted throughout. Got a homemade Key lime pie to go for a party we were attending later. Seriously one of the best Key lime pies I’ve ever had!

Fabulous Grill. Food was really good, service was tops? The restaurant is great, even has a place for a band & outdoor seating. Our waitress was great. Stayed on top of things but not intrusive. Great/funny signs all around building. Sorry for bad language on a couple.

Fun atmosphere and good food! Came for brunch on a Sunday and will definitely be coming back again another day! 😋

Food would have been a 4 Until we got home. We had ordered a whole key lime pie to bring home for the kids. When we got home What we had was a pie that tasted like curdled cheesecake and eggs Not key lime pie at all The kids won't eat it and unfortunately it is quite gross. Called whoever was on the phone was very defensive, that's your right. But no way can we drive an hour to bring back a pie we spent $40 on. Was offered Half reimbursement on the worst pile of I don't know what because we cannot drive back to bring it to a person who stated that it was key lime pie, and there was no way something could be wrong with it. Really unfortunate. We liked the atmosphere, song bingo was great. Burgers were great coconut shrimp was great Will never be back.

Went on a Saturday night at 6 and it was full. It was an hour later when we got our food. All 10 of us said the food was ok. Good live music. If you you don't mind spending the money for ok food for live music at night and some dancing and outside atmosphere. Sure it's a fun place to go.
Heather Parks — Google review
We had a 30-minute wait outside in hot weather, but once our group of 19 were seated, it was much better. (Seated in 2 different loactions due to group size.) Good atmosphere and fun surroundings. The food was good, but prices have really gone up. The $7.95 breakfast last time is now $12.00. (Egg prices). A few of us had Sweet tea, which they ran out of. The overall experience was fun. Thank you!

After seeing Fox News in Hobe Sound at Harry and the Natives on several occasions, we had to check it out. We sat outside under their tiki hut to enjoy the beautiful day. We enjoyed their Smoked Fish Dip appetizer and their Turkey Club and Cuban sandwiches for lunch. Everything was delicious and our server Karen B was great. We love New England clam chowder but unfortunately they only serve it on Fridays so we’ll have to stop in some Friday in the future.

Food, service, and atmosphere are really good. A heads up that the restaurant (including patio) are not pet/dog friendly with the exception of a couple tables with umbrellas in the back. So good to keep in mind if you want to sit under the covered patio where the fans and bar are, etc. or if you're planning to go at a busy time when those back tables are already taken.

Such a fun place to eat & have a drink at! The food definitely takes second stage to the many hilarious signs & cool photo ops scattered around the property. They even had live music the day we stopped by for lunch.

Harry & The Natives is the coolest place we accidentally discovered on a trip to all 50 states on two-lane roads. When we saw the 100-foot tall robot, we hit a U-Turn and had a GREAT experience.
William JustWilliam — Google review
Enjoyed lunch with my husband and a cousin. It was low key, excellent choice of food selections and the waitress was great. She was friendly and professional and allowed us space to relax, yet was appropriately attentive.
Carol Raynor — Google review
We loved the atmosphere - very unique! Wish we could have seen the tiki hut area, but the entire room was blocked for a small private party. The meals were decent. The Cuban was missing mustard and when we asked a server, she said that didn't come on it and came back with mayonnaise as the sandwich sauce. It's not a Cuban without spicy mustard... Son's gator burger was bland, but wife was happy with veggie pasta and daughter's bistro burger was ok. Service lacked with no drink refills or server to be seen for remainder of the meal. We had to have the lady at the register print our bill to pay so we could leave.

This is one of the funnest places in South Florida. The food is awesome with a great variety for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The cocktails are also perfect, and their Key Lime pie is authentic and unmatched. They have great, "homegrown" entertainment, and the service is friendly, courteous, and attentive. You can sit inside or in their very large tiki hut, and they have a small "pet friendly" patio on the side. It's not at all "touristy" and seems to be a local favorite. I live in Jupiter Farms, and it's well worth the drive. I do have one negative comment: I got the smoked fish dip which came with about 8 crackers, not enough to finish the dip. I also ordered the Native salad with blue cheese dressing, also not enough for the salad. They gladly provided additional crackers and salad dressing, but charged me extra for them. I don't think it's worth $1.75 to leave me with negative feelings. Just give enough of those condiments in the first place and charge $1.75 more.

Our server Samantha was AWESOME! She was very personable and recommended great food and provided wonderful service. The atmosphere was very nice with the live band and something different than our usual dinner out and we really enjoyed it! We’ll be back for sure!

We came here for lunch and it's a cool little spot. There is a lot of seating, food was fresh and came out quick. No complaints
Jer Nash — Google review
Great place! Philly cheesesteak should be listed as Italian beef sandwich- it’s just au jus with sliced deli Roast beef and cheese. But it was pretty good. Shrimp and grits were also pretty good. Salad wasn’t iceberg lettuce. Not a fan of the fries, but a lot of people like them. Lots of parking! Outdoor tiki area was super neat! Love the atmosphere and the staff was good. Full bar!

My friend and I visited and got exactly what we asked for, it was a great experience. Merrick served us and he was the perfect worker. Will visit more often. The only thing would be that we hoped you had pretzel toppings.

This place is great. Very very good ice cream and a super pleasant staff. Don’t blink… You’ll miss it. But turn around and get some. Really good.
michael sims — Google review
The description of this place is completely wrong. It is generic hersey's ice cream in giant tubs with carrageenen and other cheap ingredients. Premium price not premium ice cream. Do not recommend. Stuart has much better natural, gourmet ice cream and gelato shops. Wait until you get there instead.
P B — Google review
Sunday afternoon with the grandkids, what to do? By unanimous vote, we selected ice cream. Had not tried Sweeties Ice Cream, but we stumbled on a real winner. Both grandkids selected watermelon sorbet. They are good at sharing so I got a taste. Unexpectedly delicious and refreshing. I did not try hubby's butterscotch bites, but he said it was great. I had cappuccino crunch in a waffle cone. Fantastic! We went outside, in case we made a mess. They have tables set up with checkers and a corn hole game. The kids (and therefore grandma) had a blast! Oh, and Bob, the man who scooped the ice cream was totally awesome!

Sweeties is the best local ice cream place that I have ever been to. The ice cream has really great flavor and the portions are very good for the price. Staff is always friendly. We bring all of our friends and family here when they come in town and everyone loves it. Worth it every time.

If you leave a review of anything less than 5 stars you need to re-evaluate your life choices. I’ve been to Ice cream shops all over the world and this one is by far the best one. There was one place in Porto Portugal that had comparable ice cream but they were super rude so sweeties takes the cake! Or should I say ice cream!!!

The Catfish House appears as a typical bar restaurant from the outside, but stepping inside surprises you with a comforting and homely atmosphere. The cuisine is exceptional, particularly their blackened shrimp and chicken dishes. However, it's worth noting that considering the name of the place, ordering catfish would have been wiser. The hush puppies served are delightful, contributing to an overall enjoyable dining experience.
My girlfriend and I had a lovely seafood dinner at the Catfish House. All the seafood was extremely fresh and delicious. The blackened combo is the way to go. And you have to finish with a slice of the key lime pie. Our waitress was excellent. We highly recommend the Catfish House for a taste of fresh Florida seafood done right. Chris@ North East Ford

From the outside this place looks like what would be a typical bar restaurant. Walking in I was surprised to see and feel like a homey experience. The food was amazingly good. I had blackened shrimp and chicken and once I ordered it I knee being at a place called the catfish house I should have ordered catfish. The hush puppies that they give you are delightful. This place os a little on the expensive side so beware. Paid more than should have for gator bits even tho it was an entrée that my buddy ordered. All in all great place and would recommend.

Absolutely love the atmosphere the staff and the food . Everyone is very pleasant. I can't wait to go back and try more stuff didn't get to have desert I was so full and happy when I left though. So happy that I found this place. I have to say the Frog legs and the catfish oh man so yummy. Oh and be careful with the tartar sauce my husband almost ate half the bottle they put on the table. I must have missed a picture of the conch fritters doesn't matter whatever you order will not disappoint. Thank you to all the staff at catfish house you made my day !!

Always the best spot for fried catfish anywhere. Old school fish house style and great selection of rare items you won't find everywhere. Snowbirds have found out about this gem so dine accordingly
Jonathan Hipperling — Google review
One of the few remaining and best old Florida restaurants in our area. Unfortunately this local treasure is closing soon for good. I will miss the warm service, casual atmosphere and excellent seafood and southern homestyle favorites including fried green tomatoes. We will miss you Catfish House! Thank you for the wonderful memories and delicious meals.

After a long day of hiking in Johnathan Dickinson Park or spending a relaxing afternoon on Hobe Sound Beach, Catfish House is there to provide the perfect "icing on the cake". What a temping menu! Comfort food done right. Started with the included fresh cool crisp salad. Moved on to the wonderful crab soup. Not crabby but full of crab! Then a crazy plate of steaming hot fried green tomatoes with yummy hush-puppys almost did us in. Finally.. the Mississippi boneless fried catfish. Wow! Flavorful and steaming hot. Not greasy at all. Our only regret, no room for desert.

Visited here with friends while in the area for an event and the experience was pleasant. Service was on point and the food didn’t disappoint with the exception of one of the side dishes. Download fall for me was the lack os spirits, it’s beer and wine only.
Debbie B — Google review
Fried shrimp were good. A little over cooked, but still tasty. The fried green tomatoes and fried mushrooms were tasty. Service was great. We had a big party (14) and we had to be broken into two groups which was a bummer since it was a birthday dinner, but they tried their best to be accommodating. Will definitely return, but not with a large party.

Love this place. It's homey and the best catfish, frog legs, shrimp, and gator bites in Martin County. All the sides are excellent too. You get lots of food for the price you pay. I always get the Greg's combo with the small catfish on the bone. Sometimes we dine in, and sometimes take out.

Taste Casual Dining is an excellent eatery with incredible cuisine. The fish tacos are bursting with delicious flavors and the crab cake is equally delectable. Looking forward to returning for more options, as the menu offers a nice variety of dishes at fair prices. The service provided is top-notch, and even in inclement weather, the outdoor area remains lovely. In Hobe Sound, it's a great spot for satisfying and reasonably priced comfort food like Shepherd's Pie or homemade meatloaf.
Great (and I mean GREAT) food! The fish tacos have so much flavor! And the crab cake was also really tasty. I look forward to coming back and trying more options! The menu was nicely varied and the service was top notch. Lovely outdoor area even in the rain!

Great diner with excellent, fast service. Definitely recommend if you're in the area and in need of a quick bite. We had the Cuban sandwich and fish tacos with sweet potato fries. Took the orange cake home for dessert.
Amelia Ram — Google review
The service was just fine. Only one minor complaint (*see below). The food was a completely different matter. Two of our party of three had the grilled salmon. The portion was dinky, especially considering the $21 price. The salmon had no spicing one could taste. It was dry, overcooked, and something most people could have done in a drunken stupor in their microwave. The 'vegetable of the day,' zucchini, summer squash, and carrot, had been boiled to near mush. My bet is the mix had sat in hot water for hours. Little flavor and almost no texture. Mush. The baked total also suffered from having been prepared well before our dinner. Very dry, nearly over-baked, though the dill flavored sour cream helped. (* Funny thing--The two of us who had the salmon had both asked to hold the sour cream!). My wife had the eggplant parm. Baked. That's good. And noodles aplenty! The sauce, however, was like straight out of a 5-gallon drum. No spicing. Bland, commercial-grade red stuff. No thanks. Bottom line: If you like spending a LOT of money on well below average food--go there! You will love it! For us, guarantee we NEVER GO BACK!

Great sport in Hobe Sound to get simple, but well prepared and fairly priced comfort food. Really hearty Shepherd's Pie, home made meat loaf and my new favorite, a Cuban pork and black bean rice bowl. Just south of Bridge Road off Old Dixie Hwy.

I had one of the specials. The flounder francaise with asparagus & risotto. It was absolutely delicious! I loved it!! The bread they brought out was good, too. Someone else in our party had one of the specials, too...chicken pot pie. They enjoyed it, too. The service was good. The new location is smaller than the previous location, but still nice.
D C — Google review
Have eaten here since they opened, so long ago. Many changes... No scallops - no snapper, etc. dishes anymore - good if you want a burger. Taylor's down the street will now support our business since we want more than a burger. We would always eat here for a good fish dinner but either sold out (scallops) or they don't sell it anymore ( snapper) So sad. Luckily, there are other choices in the area for a great seafood dinner and Taste is not one of them anymore. Bye!
Dan Weber — Google review
There were 5 of us eating dinner inside. All 5 really enjoyed our meal and the service. 3 of us had the Pot Roast special and 2 had salads. We were all very happy at the end of our meal. AND IT WAS VERY REASONABLE.
Ed Yanni — Google review
Been going here for 3 years and the new local is a welcome sight but in our opinion the food quality has gone down a bit. Nice staff but we have noticed every time we go that there has been a down grade in the food. Had fish and chips, came out cool and mushy, meatloaf is tasty but got a piece with a hard end that I couldn't cut. It's the little things that count. Hope they get it together again.
Marco M — Google review
The food was delicious. The servise was excellent. It was packed the day i was there as we finished our table was being cleared. It has off street parking. Wheelchair accessible. My daughter and i reslly enjoyed dining there. I recommend.

We have spent too much money on overpriced, so so food in Stuart area before we finally found TASTY food at reasonable prices at this gem. The staff is amazing, greeting us at the door and maintaining an attentive friendly attitude throughout our visit. The menu is eclectic but we enjoyed everything we ordered. Prices are fair and atmosphere is lovely. only criticism: rissotto was tasty but cooked to the point that it was more like a polenta.
Lynn Ciecierski — Google review
Just got a chance to check out Taste in their new location. Happy to see that business was booming on a Friday night. I tried the cheesecake sub. It's made with freshly shaven prime rib and was super tasty. Husband had the stuffed peppers but ate them too fast for me to get a pic :) def will be back with the rest of our family very soon.
Heather K — Google review
Great experience. Eric was our server and was a great asset to the restaurant. Pleasant, attentive and professional. The food was very good, from Bang Bang shrimp to the fish and chips with the well cooked fries. The mango salsa with the quesadilla was tasty. To full to eat the leans cake or the key lime pie but they were two of the great desserts offered. You owe it to yourself too make a trip here. One star off in atmosphere just because of the ambient noise level.
Walter Graham — Google review
We are locals and like to support local establishments but in this case we were sorely disappointed. This restaurant is in a new location from where it had been previously and we had enjoyed dining there occasionally. I ordered an item off the specials menu (yellowtail snapper) and apparently made the mistake of not asking what the price was. But I did hear the next table over ask what the cost was and the waitress said $31. I thought that sounded a little pricey for this establishment which is small and rustic and known for casual food. I really wanted a nice locally caught fish so ordered it anyway. When our bill arrived I was shocked when I saw we were charged $41. I feel we were taken advantage of since we did not ask for the price of the specials before we ordered. Needless to say buyer beware!

The Schnitzel Haus, a German restaurant known for its quality food and prompt service, is highly recommended for any occasion. Customers have praised the excellent dishes made from scratch which exhibit amazing taste and top-notch quality. The waitstaff, such as Val who even sang happy birthday to a customer, adds to the delightful atmosphere of the restaurant.
Loved the weinershnitzel! The veal covered my plate! I'm personally not a big fan of red cabbage or warm potato Salas, so I ordered the potato pancakes. Oh my goodness! What a delightful meal.

Good food, slightly overpriced. Nice environment. Prices nowhere near the prices online.waitress didn't seem to want to be there. We ordered beer soup and she gave us broccoli and cheddar and didn't say anything to us untill we asked what kind of soup it was. Instead of telling us they were out of beer soup and that was what they had she just gave us soup the person I was with did not like. Will not go back but if you like German food their food was good....

We had wanted to visit this restaurant last year already, but arrived well before opening hours. This Saturday was our lucky day! The first thing we noticed, arriving at 2:30pm, was that we weren't the only diners patiently waiting for opening hour. The lot was filling. On opening, we were cheerfully greeted and seated in a tasteful, tastefully upbeat dining room. And the restaurant filled quickly, too. Our server was friendly, professional, and thorough in her attention to our table. Drinks refilled, dishes promptly delivered. My spouse ordered the Salmon with capers and Kartoffelpuffer followed by Filet Oscar. He devoured it sans conversation. In Foodie-speak, that means it's too delicious to stop for even a single word! Chef Lenh kindly converted the Spätzle side to a Käsespätzle entree (Danke schoen!), with a magnificently colorful, fresh, and crisp green salad. And this was preceded by Kartoffelpuffer my (off-the-boat German) parents would have themselves enjoyed (the flavor and texture was on the mark!). We had no room left for dessert, sadly, but that's turf to cover at the next visit! The service, quality, flavors, and experience are worth the time and the price (very reasonable). We recommend the Haus without qualification, and we will be back! 🍴🍻

Everything's tasted like a stick of butter. I couldn't even taste the veal just tasted butter, same with the potato pancakes everything was too greasy and way too much butter. The restaurant it self is ok located in a strip mall, not much for atmosphere. The meals are overpriced .

Incredible restaurant. Went for dinner with a party of 6. The service, atmosphere, and food were tops. The Weiner Schnitzel was absolutely delicious. The German beer was also great, and the apple strudel was a finishing hit. The restaurant is pricey but they deliver on quality. Highly recommend !!

Absolutely love this place! Our first visit with friends was absolutely amazing. We made a reservation and requested a quiet table, they seated us in a second dining room that had no patrons, so we had it all to ourselves. They made us feel welcome and were very attentive. The dinner menu was the largest I have ever seen. Incredible assortment of both German and American dishes made it really hard to choose! We started the meal with appetizers - Fried Calamari, Onion Soup and Fresh Mozzarella Bruschetta. All very good. For dinner, two of us had the Veal Jager Schnitzel, one had the Pork Jager Schnitzel and one had the Wurst Combo. We all liked what we ordered. Portions were large, which we were thankful for, because their prices were high, even for appetizers. Wish I had taken pictures of our meals; I didn't think of it until dessert came. The dessert menu was great and all our choices were delicious. We will definitely be going back again and taking friends who haven't been there before.

Good German food is hard to find! We were so happy to have discovered this wonderfully legitimate restaurant in Hobe Sound a few years ago! On a recent visit to celebrate a birthday with special friends the hostess could not find our reservation. It was eventually located in their book for a different day. Kudos to the gentleman who went above and beyond to secure a table for us. They had a packed house and we could have easily been turned away. In addition to the exceptional service our meals were delicious as always ~ thank you!

We visited the Schnitzel Haus to celebrate my 60th birthday. We were seated promptly and every request was quickly fulfilled. The food was excellent. It was one of the best birthday dinners I have ever had. I would definitely recommend the Haus for any occasion.
