Seafood restaurant
Captain Charlie's Reef Grill is a laid-back seafood restaurant with a wide selection of wines in a cozy and unassuming setting. While some visitors had concerns about portion sizes, others were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the attentive service. The menu features fresh dishes like dolphin on mashed potatoes and baked oysters, as well as unique offerings such as chewy homemade ice cream.
I saw a bunch of reviews before going here and some where negative so we almost didn’t go, but I’m glad we did! Our food was excellent! It was a Wednesday night and I expected it to be slow, it the place was packed! Our server was definitely busy but did a great job. I told her my only complaint was that she talked us into the “small dishes” (which were on a daily rotational menu) and they ended up being on the smaller end of a full size meal! I was expecting tapas sizes. Our seafood packed dishes were $14-$17 and they were all just excellent. They may not have had Gordon Ramsey style plate prep but they were lacking nothing. 5/5! I’ll definitely be back again!

food was fresh but honestly nothing that blew my mind good. overall the food was good. the dolphin on mashed potatoes was probably the best thing we ordered. the swordfish kabob and the grouper cheeks were sort of plain, nothing special. the spicy calamari was a bit too acidic from the pickled peppers for my taste. overall it was average. the dessert was alright also. 4/5 because the waiters were very kind and service was excellent

This is one of my favorite places around here. We’ve been coming to Juneau for over 20 years now and Charlie’s has been a steadfast go to every time we’re in town. The scallop salad is one of the best salads I’ve ever had and I always make sure to get the port or coconut crème brûlée.

An establishment in Juno. One of the best place to eat fresh seafood. An unassuming place, friendly service and an extensive menu with daily specials. We also like that they have small plates that’s perfect for us without needing to have leftovers. Shoulder and off season are the best times if you don’t want to wait for a table.

It's been a bit since dined at Captain's Charlie's Original Reef Grill. Must Say that Shark, Carson and the entire staff is super nice, friendly and makes you feel at home. D' best Escargot ever. The shrimp scampi was great. Must stop by...however will come back soon! DO NOT MISS IT..

Awesome food and experience! They were so slammed at the time we came in for lunch but all of the staff was nice and friendly. We sat at the bar and watched the line cooks make the food. They were excellent and friendly. The food was amazing! We will be coming back!

We were so impressed we ate here 2 of the 4 nights in town. Everything was fantastic. From the wine list to the best ice cream we have ever had. It was chewy, how do you even make chewy ice cream? They should call it Al dente homemade ice cream. Baked oysters, best we have ever had. The rigatoni with shrimp and scallops in a Gorgonzola sauce, unbelievable. We have already decided we would vacation again in the area just to eat here. We met a couple that has eaten here 32 nights in a row now and tried something new each night. Service is top notch too. Go and enjoy! Sit at the bar if you can and watch all the creations come together in front of you.

This place is a gem. A unique vibe, friendly staff, and a thorough menu. Reasonably priced. If you're in Jupiter, stop by.

If you could design your own local seafood restaurant, this is what you would want. Great fresh seafood, can take your own catch, super friendly staff, clean, and full of loyal clientele, for a reason. Very reasonably priced. Nothing corporate about this place and that’s what you want. The focus is the seafood, which can be grilled, blackened, fried, and sautéed. All to perfection. You’re not here for the sides. A huge thumbs up, highly recommended.

Ok. Wow. Unassuming authentic amazing dining experience. Sat at the bar where I was blessed by the service of Warren, a witty, knowledgeable and around excellent server (and pilot from what I hear). I had the Thai Shrimp WA and bay scallops and peppered tuna. Mmmm. Key lime pie was a take home and just as amazing as the whole meal. As I informed (threatened as Warren asked) the staff…I’m coming back. 😎.

the best seafood restaurant I have ever been to. Try to stop by on Sunday when Susie is working. Amazing place. Not much to look at from outside. But if you find it you will not be disappointed.

Our fishing guide (Unbridled) turned us into this restaurant. They cooked up our catch three different ways and served it family style! It was amazing! I highly recommend this place.

Try the whole snapper….and then once you’ve done that try the lobster/scallop Mac and cheese! And then when you finish that….order the peach, mango apple cobbler! And then,,,,,,come back for more! I definitely will!

Excellent seafood and desserts. Like walking back into time when you enter. Always busy, but always worth it. Huge menu! Just be cautious in the parking lot. Spots are small and the lot is compact. We saw someone back into a brand new BMW and take off.

What a gem in Juno Beach/ kind of an old school place, wood paneling, Tiffany lamps, golf flags, lots of tchotchkes, etc. There is a line out front every day and when you eat here - you know why! Impressive hand written menu with an equally impressive list of local and fresh fish for the day - with some creative preparations. I had swordfish au poivre (which is one of their staples)- which was outstanding. Big piece of fish and an amazing peppercorn/cream sauce. My wife had snapper with a spinach/creamed corn base - which was also super . Good selection of appetizers (Stone Crabs!), salads, oysters, etc. as well a good wine list and draft beer. Place was packed at 8PM on a Monday night - and you can hang out in their ‘lunchroom’ just 2 doors down - basically a bar with tables - while you wait to be seated. If you like fresh fish in a cool, authentic local setting - you won’t be disappointed with Captain Charlie’s!

Incredible seafood and even better staff. Visiting for a work trip and this was the only restaurant I went to all week it was that good!
Andrew McMonagle — Google review
We ordered takeout. They are quite busy so we waited a while. But everyone was mediocre at best. Nothing too special or memorable for me. Guac for the tacos tasted like old avocados. Calamari was subpar. Scallops came with fries and broccoli. $18 for 4 scallops didn’t seem like such a great deal for me. Overall not too impressed, but your mileage may vary. We probably just ordered all the wrong dishes

The ceviche was very fresh and the fish was great. The butter garlic pasta was a little heavy on the butter and the garlic a bit burnt making it a little bitter. Go for the marinara pasta instead.

Restaurant
Juno Beach Fish House is a vibrant eatery known for its Floribbean-inspired seafood dishes, served in a mosaic-filled atmosphere with a spacious outdoor patio. It is highly recommended to visit whenever in Florida. The friendly staff warmly welcomed guests and allowed them to choose their preferred seating. For those seeking Grouper, this restaurant proved to be a satisfying find, impressing with both the visually appealing presentation and outstanding quality of the fish.
Juno Beach Fish is highly recommended. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The Cajun Bowl was absolutely delicious and rainy filling. The dish was savory and all the ingredients blended well together with just the right amount of heat. The dessert was recommended by server and it was delicious, a pineapple upside cake with mango ice cream. I feel guilty because I was so full from the meal I could only get 5 bites in. Definitely share with someone else. Will come back again whenever I visit the area.

Our waiter Tim (I believe that was his name), was great. Food came hot and was good. Got some key lime pie to go and it was good as well.

First time at the fish house . We went with another couple. Not noisy at all sometimes restaurants are very noisy. The waitress was very friendly took are drink orders and brought us some nice fresh rolls and oil with garlic and spices. It was great. I had yellowfin snapper it was great. Salad was ok. And it was included with the meal. You see it more and more often salads are extra. So it was nice to see it included with the meal. My wife had a salad with salmon it was just ok. My friend had tuna it looked like a nice portion. His wife ordered shrimp and pasta . She said it was great . Drink prices are very reasonable. So are sides . The lunch menu is priced right. And the is a early bird menu. Too full for dessert. But the prices look very good . And our waitress keep checking in on us . She did a very good job so overall I had a nice night at the fish house restaurant definitely will return in the future. So if your looking for a restaurant to try out I would definitely recommend trying out the fish house restaurant I. Juno beach .

Went here with my family tonight. They love seafood but I am not a fan. Ordered the burger and it was ok. My family all loved their food and apps though. The service was very good and the food came out in good time. The bread the put on the table before the meal was very yummy.

We chose the Juno Beach Fish House because it was nearby the hotel we were staying at and were very pleased with their friendly service and beachy vibes. Our server was very prompt and helped recommend a few dishes to us because we could not decide on which of their wonderful menu items we wanted. The portions were generous and the food was delicious. We did not get dessert but we saw many people order their key lime pie and it looked amazing!

Great food and service. Not 5 stars across the board though. Caesar salad did not have shaved Parmesan with flavor, just the shred ( and tasted like it ) from a grocery store package. Also was not offered cracked pepper for salad just the table glass shaker. Just little things bothered me. Old fashioned seemed to have a short pour, and no drunken aged cherries in it. The entrees were good but not excellent as far as flavor. My pasta dish with chorizo only had 3 pieces in the whole huge bowl of pasta. For dessert had the pineapple upside down cake. Good but I guess I am used to that type of cake in a cast iron pan with brown sugar hard crust and more vanilla cake pineapple flavor. Very light cake flavor and no crust. I guess I am picky, I am used to the way my mother made it for me. I would go back again order something else. The server was top notched and we appreciated that ! Also the bread was fantastic , and the server poured the olive oil mixed with herbs out of a bottle with a big spout. The plate was deeper than what you get at most restaurants to dip the bread it. Result was plenty of EVOO dip with herbs it it was good as well as the very hot bread !

It's very consistent and very good. We got the 2 lb lobster and it was excellent, as was the chowder. Service was a bit slow but not painfully so. I'm a native New Englander and can be pretty picky on seafood, but this is definitely a "highly recommend".

The scallops is one of the best we have ever had! My girlfriend said the anchovies in her caesar salad where the freshest she's ever tasted! The bread was amazing it comes with every dinner!

This is a must stop every time we come to Florida. We were greeted very pleasantly, and got to choose our table, I've been looking for Grouper for a while, Well I found it here, And was pleasantly surprised with the beautiful presentation, and quality of the fish . I got the sandwich while my wife got the filet . We were both very happy, However, I ordered a Juno breeze drink that was way overpriced, And tasted like pineapple juice. I was sorry I bought it . However that being said the staff was wonderful, restaurant was clean, And with a Groupon and going at lunch time , It was very affordable, Great food for a reasonable price. I gave it 4 stars because I wasn't happy with the overpriced not impressed drink .

Always THE BEST!!! Their fish tacos are beyond any I have ever ate anywhere else coast to coast! I got the blackened and the slab of fish they had in each taco was enormous! Their fish & chips is most delicious. And their fries! You have to try their fries!!! Wonderful service. We love stopping in every time we happen to be in town. Always special.

If you live by the beach, easy place to walk to and from your place. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. The swordfish was cooked a tad dry. The blackened seasoning was good though. I ordered broccoli 🥦 well done and it wasn't. The details are important. Service was excellent.

Hurricane Cafe is a charming diner that serves delicious American cuisine all day long. The cozy atmosphere and island-themed decor create a welcoming environment for customers. This place has received outstanding reviews, with guests praising the fantastic food prepared by the talented chef, as well as the great service provided. The cleanliness and comfort of the cafe are also highly appreciated by visitors. Both lunch and dinner options impress with their consistency in quality and taste.
Delicious lunch after a morning at the beach nearby. Lots of delicious and healthy options that have creative flare. We left feeling happy, filled, and cared for. They have several awards on the walls and it was clear to see why. Nothing was particularly mind-blowing, but the quality of the food and friendliness of the staff stood out. I highly recommend the shrimp tacos and pecan crusted chicken salad.

Updating the review cause I come here quite frequently. Still true! I love this restaurant! It’s easygoing and casual, but not lacking in service or taste. Our server Tania was wonderful and made the whole experience enjoyable, and made sure we were informed about our food choices. The food itself was fantastic, delicious, and well done, and it’s consistent. The experience is filled with locals in a busy restaurant, with definitely a peak time at lunch. They have a variety of options, including vegetarian meals, and they’re actually good and not just a simple salad. The food is a pleasant surprise because the environment feels so casual, you’re not expecting such high class food. The falafel was delicious and unique. It isn’t traditional deep fried falafel— it’s a healthier version that doesn’t taste healthy— it tastes scrumptious. The portion sizes are great and you get a solid bang for your buck. I come here every time I go to the beach!

Daniel Roberts — Google review
It's taken me two months to write this review of the Hurricane Café, mostly because I'm so conflicted in what to say. Overall, I've had largely positive experiences here, but my main dish was so poorly prepared after the last visit that I haven't visited since. Ugh, what to say? Overall, the last experience was fine. We ate outside and our server was a friendly, attentive young gentleman. Our small party of three started with a flatbread pizza. It was really quite tasty. My main course, however, was the pits - something I never expected from this place where past dishes have been quite delicious and reliable. At the recommendation of our server, I got the large cut of the Prime Rib. It was a big mistake. I don't really know where to begin but, and as you can see in the attached pic, it was grey. Grey. Given the look and overall texture, it appeared that the cut was steamed or warmed in a covered pan with it's cooking liquid. Any tasty crust that it had when it was roasted was turned to rubber in the reheating and it was fiercely overcooked and imperceptibly larger than the supposed smaller portion ordered by my one dining partner. And the roast was obviously never properly trimmed before cooking either as the tail had a HUGE piece of fat attached. Normally, I'm all about the fat on a piece of properly prepared meat as it adds to the flavor and richness, but being so soggy, the fat was just greasy and disappointing. I'll never order a daily special if I ever return. Also, as a few other commentors have mentioned, there were flies... Lots of them! Especially after our main courses of beef and fish arrived. Look, I get it, it's the tropics and the outdoor seating overlooks an asphalt parking lot. It's hot and the local bugs want their share, too. It was just too overwhelming at some point that I needed to throw my napkin over my plate so I could stop swatting the flies away. Even a visit from a local curly-tailed lizard didn't help. Perhaps it is worth looking into a Thermacell for your outdoor dining area to help repel the flying unfriendlies? Just a humble idea. Unfortunately, this experience was enough to keep me away for the past two months. That's hard to admit when I consider that I used to eat here on an average of 3 times a month. I know the restaurant business is hard. I used to work in it for 20 years. You can prepare 100 covers in one day and 99 can be perfect, but that one failure is going to ruin the entire meal of that one patron. I guess I was that guy that day. On reflection, I probably should have spoken up then, but I was at the end of a long and difficult day. I was too tired to deal with the conflict, and frankly that dish shouldn't have gone out of the kitchen. There's nothing like being disappointed by those you trust and favor. That's probably why it took so long to write this review and why I haven't returned since.

We went here for lunch on a rainy, windy day. Three of the four of our group had soup - and all different options- French onion, clam chowder (maybe the best I ever had), and beef barley. The portions were large - even with the lunch special of half sandwich and soup combo- it was a big bowl and not a cup like you get at other restaurants. Nice desserts are available, too. Our server was pleasant and the food was delivered quickly. The dividers between the booths are high so your group feels fairly private.

We ate there 3 times in the week we spent in Juno. The food is excellent, tasty and the portions are very generous. My husband ordered the blackened swordfish tacos each time, and I ordered the super green salad with blackened salmon each time. The first server we had was excellent, but after that during the week it looked like they were understaffed and it impacted our service experience, yet we kept on going back because the food was good.

My wife and I enjoy visiting Hurricane every once in a while. Tonight it was just soup and salad. She had clam chowder and I had the chili. Both were very good. We also both had a Caesar salad and those were good as well. Also, the bread and olive oil they bring out is quite tasty. We will be back again.

Such a great spot! The service was incredibly friendly, quick and knowledgeable. The meals were delicious and reasonably priced too! My son has severe allergies and they adjusted menu items to meet our needs. A new family fave for us.

Reasonably quick service at 9:30 am on a Thursday. The corned beef hash is homemade and is good, but more like mashed potatoes with embedded extras than the standard (crunchier) version of the dish. Eggs poached medium were perfect. The waitress was nice.
Philip Greenspun — Google review
Unfortunately. Understaffed. The stuff that we’re working were trying and apologetic. There were only 2 waitresses and I table cleaner and apparently only 1 cook. Many people upset with the wait and some even left. Took over1 hour to get food which was experienced by most. Phone was ringing off the hook. Food was good and hot. Had to ask for condiments and boxes more than once. Would give them another try in the future.

There are not enough stars in heaven to rate this place! We ate here twice on our 'wknd-vaca'... fantastic food-the chef beyond!, great service, laid back friendly atmosphere, clean, comfortable - did I miss anything!!! We had lunch (Grouper Rachel/fish dip) and dinner (Sweet potato crusted Grouper/Coconut rice/veg medly, and fish dip), there was complete consistency in the quality and taste; the fish dip was fantastic; took leftovers and was just as good the next day!!! If you want to enjoy high class food at a reasonable price, you owe yourself... and say hello to Karrie, and tell her we sent you.❤

Seafood restaurant
Cool'A Fishbar is a charming and inviting grill plating area-inspired eatery that specializes in sourcing seafood dishes from the local region. With a focus on quality, this restaurant has built a reputation for serving the freshest seafood possible. Their menu offers an array of delectable options, such as pan-roasted mussels with dijon andouille sauce, as well as maple mustard-glazed salmon paired with coconut-infused basmati rice.
Their maple mustard grilled salmon is so perfect, it's all I crave now. Love their side salad and asparagus is tender, silky and buttery. The staff is very professional, friendly, informative and kind. I plan to take my mother here for dinner very soon, I just wish their hours weren't limited to only dinner. Would love to come for lunch.

I was meeting a group of friends at Cool’a Fishbar for dinner tonight. Service and food was good. Towards the end of dinner, a girl came up behind me, tapped me on the shoulder and said, “I don’t have money, I am hungry. Can I have your food?” The restaurant manager came up behind us and quickly leaned in and asked if I was “OK” with that? I was caught off guard and felt pressured. Being human and having empathy for the girl, I handed her my doggy bag. I’m disappointed at Vincent, the restaurant manager for not regulating the restaurant and monitoring loiterers interrupting paid customers while dining. We paid for a dining experience and especially in this inflated economic situation, everybody works hard for their earnings. This whole situation made all 9 of us feel uncomfortable. Please have a better handle with the restaurant and ensure your paid customers can enjoy their dining experience. Not sure if I will return to dine in with friends again.

My husband and I visited here tonight while on vacation. We were very impressed with the delicious food and atmosphere but the service was really amazing. All of the staff there from when we entered to when we left were very welcoming. Our server was Sherri and her personality and attentive service was wonderful. We eat out at a lot of restaurants and experience all types of service but this restaurant was above and beyond one of the best we have been to in a long time, they really made us happy to be there. We will definitely be coming back to this restaurant and I have already recommended it to my family.

The service here was excellent. Atmosphere is very inviting. We’ve been here 4-5 times during the past few years. I gave it a 3 because the coconut shrimp was far from recommendable. Lots of dry tasteless bread on small shrimp. The asparagus was very good though. We’ll be back someday anyway.
Brenda Patnick — Google review
As much as we enjoyed the service, the space and the conch appetizer, the main course let us down in the most unhealthy way. My husband ordered fish, salad and Cool'A loaded baked potato. Thankfully I opted for rice and string beans. The fish looked rubbery and old, the salad was over dressed and not rinsed thoroughly, I took a bite, and, the highly touted over the top baked potato, with many potentially spoiled ingredients, managed to give my husband a severe case of food poisoning. He was violently ill for over 24hrs! As a concerned consumer, I called the restaurant to let them know. I spoke with the manager on duty, I believe his name was Steve. Although kind, he didn't seem very interested. I made it clear, I wasn't calling for a refund. I wanted them to know about the food poisoning in case others had experienced something similar. He mentioned he would share the information with the GM later that evening and, I should expect a call. Sadly, we received no calls from the restaurant. A bad food experience could have been forgiven simply by taking a moment to show some compassion. Good customer service goes along way with most consumers. Maybe next time your GM will take a thoughtful moment and pick up the phone!

This was at least our third time eating here during our visits to the area, but it may be my favorite restaurant in town. Conch fritters were a great start to the meal. It was an amazing, perfect experience. From the minute we walked in the door, we felt so welcomed. The atmosphere is so beautiful, so pleasant, just perfect. Vince, the manager walked us to a very lovely booth. Great atmosphere - quiet enough to have wonderful conversation, but yet lively enough that you know you are out and about with others and having lots of fun. Cocktails were generous and very tasty. We started with a large order of the conch fritter appetizer which was the perfect amount for the three of us. I had the maple crusted salmon with a side of asparagus and their extremely tasty coleslaw. My boyfriend had the house special which was a delicious Covina that night. He loved it. Our cousin ordered the steak tidbits with the coconut shrimp. She devoured as much as she could, and still had enough to take home. Portions are very generous. It was just so perfect. We were made to feel so comfortable and it was just such an enjoyable, lovely evening and an enjoyable lovely meal. I couldn’t ask for anything nicer than Cool’a Fish Bar. Vince, the manager sure knows how to run a spectacular restaurant. Of all the restaurants in South Florida, I think Cool’a Fish Bar is my very, very favorite. Thank you so much for a delightful evening! A+++ Sent from my iPhone

I live an hour and a half south of Juno and went up for the day to get away from the Miami scene. I grabbed some food from here before I headed back home. I love small hometown sports bars. The prices were great, the shrimp tacos were delicious, and the bartender was super nice. Only $22 bucks for two beers and three tacos. I would definitely recommend this place.

Great atmosphere, especially the outdoor bar & tiki lamps. 😍 We had a wonderful waiter named Matt, who although new there, was helpful and knowledgeable. Great spicy shrimp tacos and conch fritters, excellent cocktails, and delicious desserts. We had the peanut butter pie and coca cola cake... both are amazing. Highly recommend!

Enjoyed a revisit today. Flash back hurricane marathon 2004. Food was awesome like then. Med wings with blue cheese and celery sticks. Also has an order of conch fritters.

We went there after a day on a fishing charter. They were busy, but we got right in, and they even cooked our King Mackerel that we had just caught! Grilled and Blackened to perfection. We'll be back.

We drove down from Melbourne Beach to check out the area and found Thirsty Turtle for a bite. Food and service was excellent! Good vibes for sure.

Decent food, not my favorite place for wings - usually pretty greasy. But they always come out hot and crispy. Burgers lack a bit of flavor & everything else is just okay. Decent happy hour prices for drinks - house liquor and wine. Indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of TVs for you to watch a game.

Fried mushroom appt, coconut shrimp salad, beyond burger Ruben. Everything was fabulous! Full flavor, eye appeal, decent pricing. Will return!

Wings are good!! Mozzarella sticks and fried calamari were okay.

Oh man this place makes me happy. This black and blue burger is cooked to a gorgeous medium rare perfection, the fries are ultra crispy just like I ordered them and some dude is about to start playing an acoustic gig. Winning

My daughter and I love to go to this place. Especially after my daughter catches fish drift fishing out of West Palm Beach. She loves to go there and have them cook her fresh catch for her. Last time she had it blackened and it came out wonderful. Myself, I'm not a fish eater. So this time I had a burger which I haven't had in a long time and it was very, very tasty. The staff are top-notch very pleasant. Make sure that you have everything that you need. Even if you didn't just catch your fresh fish go on in, I understand it's all wonderful.

The draft menu is different from inside to outside it’s not a. If deal but something worth noting since I would rather be outside 90% of the time and not freeze in these south Florida establishments. I had mahi sandwich and it’s completely worth it! Fries are homemade I think they are think angle cut potatoes.

Excellent menu choices and the food is delicious. The wing sauce made in house is the best wing sauce I’ve had. The pasta primavera was perfect. I even special ordered a sauce not offered and the chef nailed it. Wish I had saved room for dessert because everything sounded delicious on that menu as well. Maybe next time, we will definitely go back next time we are in the area.

Someone I was with ordered onion rings and they were amazing (note: don't like onion rings). Ribs and the wrap were good. The burger was great. Our waitress was very attentive. Our drinks were always full.

My friends told me the food was delicious and they were right. My Reuben was awesome. My friends wings were delicious. We got a kid's meal and the girl said we could get mac and cheese as a side but the upcharge was a full 5.00 which seems outrageous. She did end up taking it off. Be aware If you do not pay with cash you are charged $5 service fee. Which I find ridiculous. Are the credit card companies really charging that much money these days? Just be prepared when you go. Otherwise it was great!

Just drove 60 miles to get the best wings in Florida. I 💕 love the wings and the service is outstanding. They don’t offer military discount like other places but still worth it. Don’t miss this spot if you are in the area. Mike the manager is awesome 😎!
