Great place to gather with friends in Jaco Beach - south end of beach away from hustle of the main Jaco drag. Food is really good and they have a full bar, too. Love the ping pong table and live music many nights. We liked the beer so much we got a keg delivered to our rental house for our event. Owner is a great ex-pat. Staff is attentive. Place has a comfortable feel.

Really, the only craft beer in Jaco so it's definitely worth a trip. Beers aren't mind blowing but good enough. Food, on the other hand, was my jam. Some good ol American food, sometimes you need a little break from the local cuisine.

Fun local brewery in Jaco. Several locally brewed craft beers as well as a few from some other breweries. Good food, the crispy fish burger was outstanding with fresh fish brought in daily. They have corn hole and a few other outdoor games for you to enjoy with your beers.

We were staying just down the block from the brewery at an air bnb, but even if we had to drive out here, it would have been worth it. The craft beer was excellent. The food was great and the ambiance was awesome. Above all the bartender/host was great to chat with. A rare find in Costa Rica. A must visit place in Jaco.

Good burger and chicken ! Beer was tasty. Quick walk from the beach. The yucca fries with the dipping sauce were surprisingly good. Plus, the live music was nice. Will come back again. The air/ water mist cool fans were a great added touch.

Great spot off Sunset Blvd. in Jaco. Interesting craft beers, a cocktail bar and really really good food. Check out the calendar and catch some live music and a little dancing. The open air space makes it so enjoyable.

This place was great. The building is very cool and the food was awesome. the beers that they brew are very good. just wish they had large sized shirts. only small was available. i went back the next day and had another beer. super cool place. the cuban sandwich was good, fish tacos and pesto chicken sandwich too

We had such a great meal here. The bartender was so kind and helpful, she even recommended some other nearby places to check out. Highly recommended the patacones, I hadn’t had them before and they’re a new favorite food!

We really enjoyed our visit to Puddlefish! The staff was super friendly and attentive. We ordered the chili passion fruit chicken wings and they were literally finger licking good! House fries were also tasty and crisp. We tried 4 beers between the two of us and all were good and refreshing. Our only problem was we couldn't drink them fast enough before the heat warmed them up😅 would go back and would definitely recommend.

The food was really good. Tried the sliders and the yuca fries, they were both really good. Big stainless brewing tanks inside were really cool. the staff was really great and helped me pick a beer that was amazing.

Ordered a great flight of beer! I must say....I was impressed with the Chef’s wings! The flappers remain unsplit and the wingtips offered up enough crispy skin and meat to warrant a few crunchy nibbles. Thank you and nice meeting you Jacqueline!!

This place gives a cool yet cozy vibe to the Jaco area. We had the blackened Mahi-Mahi tacos, cajun yuca fries, and the fish burger. The fish comes in fresh daily. The tacos were some of the best tacos I've ever eaten in my life. The tortillas were fresh, and the slaw was crunchy and delicious. The yuca fries were a real treat! My boyfriend had the fish burger and said it was also amazing. They have homemade fries as well, which seems to be a rare find in Costa Rica. We had a flight to start, and all the beers we tried were delicious, but their IPA was particularly good. So much so that we brought a growler back with us! The service here was great; very attentive, very friendly. They also have live music a couple of times a week. It would be nice if they had live music nightly, that is my only suggestion for this place. Amazing food, amazing beer, amazing service!

Came here out of convenience to our hotel but it exceeded my expectations! I only had the Passionfruit Pale Ale but I really enjoyed it without being two sweet. For food I got the seared tuna burger with no ranch, and their passionfruit wing sauce instead. It was absolutely amazing. The owner also came by and gave us free stickers which was nice.

Cool vibe brewery in surfing village, next to surf shop. Lots of space and games, so very family friendly, plus local art display. Had the Fatty Kness American IPA (very light, drank almost like a session) and the Bitter End West Coast IPA (hoppier, but just a little bland for my tastes). Also tried fish tacos, ok for pub food, nothing exciting (store-bought tortillas). Overall very chill place to quench your thirst while driving the coast.

Except for the barman not knowing the prices for the half and tasting....this place is OUTSTANDING! I had the Shipwreck Coconut Porter, which was OUT OF THIS WORLD, The DJ was ace too though FYI he played just gringo tunes...I came here for the beer and the tubes were to my liking to I was fine with it. This place has fab vibes and is perfe tly located coming down from sunset walk. I would happily recommend this place when in Jaco. If you are into craft beer than its a MUST VISIT!

Bartender was talented with drinks and wonderfully engaging with discussion. Live music venue with excellent tasting and stage location. Mahi Mahi burger was a perfect balance of flavors and all of the craft beers on tap were tasty ales! We tried them all. Definitely going to return for more.

Luis Naranjo was our guide for the Waterfall Tour. The most authentic and amazing tour guide ever. He took the time to explain local forest and animals. Was safe and secure never felt unsafe. Just an amazingly truly boots on ground feel for Costa Rica authentic trip ever. Ate locally made food for breakfast etc… My entire family enjoyed this tour.

So glad we did this! It was more amazing than I ever anticipated! We went on the Extreme Canyoning Adventure, and even though it seems a little scary to do, we felt completely safe at all times. Our guides, Wilson and Wuakeen did a fantastic job, and encouraged us to push our limits and have the best time! I would definitely recommend this tour! You shouldn’t to Costa Rica without trying it!

Highlight of our trip to Costa Rica and maybe one of the most memorable hikes I’ve ever done! Wilson was wonderful, taking the time to point out interesting plants, history, and more. The waterfalls were also lovely. I think the website was decent but I would recommend adding an option for people who’ve already had a meal beforehand/have a car. All in all, most memorable part of our trip!

Highly recommended! Amazing experience! Wilson and Joaquin were our guides for our Canyoning adventure! We had never done waterfall repelling before and felt comfortable the whole time while having tons of fun. They also took many pictures for us which we enjoy being able to look back at. We enjoyed every minute of it and would definitely go back. Our two favorite guides throughout our whole stay in Costa Rica!

Cristian was wonderful. His charm and knowledge made this a great 1/2 day trip. The provided lunch was a bonus. The afternoon safari ride to the falls was fun and informative. Cristian lead the way thru the falls and helped guide as needed. Refreshing swims in the falls a bonus as well highly recommend this tour. 5star service laughs and a good time all day. Cristian had the keys for the best tour!!!

We enjoyed this tour although it wasn't very clear what we were getting during the 4 hours scheduled. It's mostly a short hike up a stream with 4 pools you can swim in and one you can jump into. At least 2 of those hours were travel time from downtown Jaco and then to the entrance to the river after lunch. The stop for lunch was nice with a chicken rice/small salad/fried plantain meal. The ride to the river was super crammed and pretty uncomfortable (20min) and one of our party had to stand on the running board and hold on to the outside of the truck to get us all up there in one truck. The guides were super nice and knowledgeable about the forest and it's flora and fauna so that part was very interesting. Other reviews were much more positive, but this was our experience.

The BEST excursion! Wilson and Cristian were awesome guides and very professional! They taught us about plants and insects of the jungle while on our hike to the waterfall. They both gave us detail instruction for the rappels and were very entertaining. We had an AMAZING time! Half of our group are in their early 60s and enjoyed the excursion. If you are worried about skill or age, DO IT! Wilson and Cristian are the BEST and will take care of you!

Such an awesome adventure!! Challenging but never felt unsafe. These guys (our guides Wilson, Lomar, Luis & Jeffran) were great. Our family ranged from 26 to 66 and we all had a blast. We did the canyoning tour. Beautiful forest, waterfalls and wildlife. A highlight of our trip for sure!!

We had the most incredible time with Joaquin & Wilson! Quite honestly, I wasn’t sure if I was going to be impressed — I was! I was wholly impressed — we went in rainy season and the waterfalls were full & flowing. We loved the local lunch & the guides were world class (we always felt safe, they’re hilarious & so knowledgeable on the local landscape). The waterfalls were breathtaking & renewing and we just had such a fun time!

The guides, Lomar & Christian were beyond fabulous. My husband and I are not youngsters, and they took great care to keep us safe. They were both so knowledgeable and made the whole experience very pleasant, exciting and memorable. We highly recommend this excursion.

Unbelievable experience. It was just me and my 8-year-old son on my 41st birthday. Wilson picked us up from our hotel right on time and drove us safely to base camp, pointing out sites along the way. At base camp we had a great meal of eggs, rice and beans, and plantains. The food was fantastic- and our new puppy friends enjoyed our scraps. We picked up our second guide, Lomar, and went off into the jungle. Wilson and Lomar were so accommodating, and funny! We were all laughing throughout the tour, but they never took shortcuts with our safety. They’re knowledgeable about the wildlife and vegetation, and gave us the right balance of adventure and learning. This tour is not for the faint of heart. The cliff jumping is scary - but worth it - and the repelling is HARD - but also very worth it. It’s worth noting my son wasn’t big enough to do everything because of the waterfall pressure, but Wilson and Lomar made sure he could participate as much as possible and didn’t feel left out. Last but not least, because it was my birthday they stopped at a bar for a celebratory shot and a beer on our way back to the hotel. I wasn’t expecting that and it was so cool of them to do that.

The room was extremely small!! Smaller than the smallest motel room. The pictures are deceiving the bathroom was even smaller you're right on central street; which is very noisy at night; cars come down the street all night long and turn around because it's a dead end street. Jackie, on site, was phenomenal as the housekeeper. The proximity to the beach was the only good thing. However, the noise was constant people coming and going all night slamming the gate, which you could hear in the room. We had construction going on right next to our room, which was not disclosed to us when we made the reservation. The manager was extremely difficult to communicate with and extremely unprofessional when communicating with her. We stayed there for over 2 months and were treated quite poorly by the management when we brought up proplems, no matter how nice we tried to be. It seemed like every time we brought something up, there was an excuse and we were made to feel like it was our problem, not theirs. We tried to cancel our reservation and get a refund for the remaining money; they refused to do it without taking 50%, and they blamed it on airbnb. The street is very noisy, and the noise starts at 6 AM with a vacant parking lot across the street and a guy yelling parqueo parqueo and blowing whistle all morning long! You can hear EVERYTHING in the room. I gave it 2 stars only because of the location to the beach and the great service we received from Jackie.

Place was awesome, service was awesome, views was awesome, pool with jacuzzi was awesome. We had a 7 room penthouse. With plenty of amenities. What was very nice is that the place, for a very good price, offered a private chef to prepare your meals and drinks while also cleaning the dishes. Come on that was great to have restaurant designed meals at a fair price while the chef did the groceries, prepared the food and cleaned the dishes while he made us laugh. We had breakfast and dinner setup. It was great for those long party nights when you don't feel like getting up. Security to this place is also tight. It's a gated community. So prepare for that. If you want to bring guests that are not on the list, there is a bit of a vetting process before they are allowed entrance.

This was an amazing place to stay. We really had a great time in the pool, the hot tubs were not hot but otherwise a fun place for the family to chill. The actual town of Jaco was kind of trashy, major tourist trap kind of vibes. The beach was nice and if you like to surf it looked like good waves, didn't have time to jump in the water and rent a board unfortunately.

Rooms a little sparse, mattresses poor. Pool nice. Good location if this is the area you want to explore.

I went for Vacation and my cell phone chargergot stolen got stolen. When we reported the problem, they did nothing but say that maybe we had misplaced in a different place or different luggage bag. There was never a formal procedure to follow or formal to fill out. Three people went in to clean the apartment unnecessary. And they didn't even do what we asked. And a charger was stolen. Heads Up to all the tourist people that go there. Don't let housekeeping or maintenance in if you are not there.

I really want to buy a condo here! The security is really real 24/7 and there’s hand washing stations everywhere. It’s probably why the cases in the country are so low. It’s right in the heart of Jaco and a 10 min walk to the beach. It’s a wonderful place to be.

Jaco shopping center is filled with anything from cute little surfer boutiques to restaurants to exotic dance clubs and ice cream shops. The locals are extremely friendly but do be aware of your surroundings. You can find anything your in search of or not in search of on the Jaco strip. If your looking to party hard , you probably won't be disappointed. If your looking for a clean no hassle visit , I would pass. If no one in your groups speaks Spanish, I would be extremely attentive while visiting. Enjoy!

Very simple, and small, shopping center. There are places to get ice cream, churros, meals, shopping and a playground for the children. There’s a lot of open space

This is a nice place for a short walk. You can park your car for free, but parking spaces are kind of tight. You walk around and feel safe. Stores are on the high end side, so you would not find cheap food here ( Jaco has other locations for that). The place is relatively small, but it is well maintained and it has a good ambiance.

A beautiful, modern shopping center with everything from great restaurants, a variety of shops and even a full service medical clinic that took great care of my wife!

Its very convenient and has safe parking. Lots of yummy restaurants! Try the cacao steak at Grafitti or the nacho fries at Hamburgesia. Also on Wednesdays the frozen yogurt place has 2 for 1!! definitely try the fruit pearls, they are flavor explosions in your mouth.

A good selection on shops and restaurants plus some nice public space. Playground is not great but has been improved recently. Public washrooms are a plus.

Walkable but not much there that appealed to me. A mix of businesses, high price cafes and a few stores. However, the bagel place is worth a stop.

Awesome, Awesome place. Clean, safe, fun, anything you want visit there. Stores, street vendors, food cheap and high end. Highly recommend.

Nice shoping center with tones of resturants

While in Jaco we stopped by the open air mall, but were too early and nothing was open. There were a variety of shops and mostly services with ample parking, but we appreciated seeing a bulk food store committed to reducing waste and selling quality goods. The washrooms were immaculate.

Pricey compared to other places in the area, but worth it for a treat (and about the same price as I'd expect for a good meal back home). Happy hour is daily from 4-7pm. Very good cocktails - not watered down, fresh ingredients. Fresh seafood specialty changes weekly. I ordered the coffee rub steak and it was lean, high quality meat with fresh roasted veggies and mini potatoes. Service was excellent. Definitely want to come here again.

I was trying to escape the afternoon rain and wanted a good quiet experience. This did not disappoint. The waitress, Soul, was so kind. I ended up moving to the bar to chat with her. It was the warmest welcome as she answered my questions about Jaco. It was happy hour and their Chilean cab was wonderful. Highly recommended.

This restaurant is incredibly delicious! High notes were the cacao & coffee rubbed beef tenderloin, and try The Elvis for dessert! It is a crispy fried French toast pastry with bananas and peanut butter with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. We tried it off of the recommendation of our wonderful server, Brie. She gave us some of the best service we had on our entire Costa Rica vacation. Try this place out, you won’t regret it!

Truly delicious food & drinks. Loved the graffiti chic vibe & efficient service. The tuna tower was so unique with the flavour combo & plantains. Pork was plated beautifully and the flavours were there, the cut of meat could have been a bit fattier & tender though. Special was lobster pizza which was great! Would 💯 return.

This place did not disappoint. Cute with good atmosphere and friendly service. We got the passion fruit sour martini, wild berry basil lemonade, and coconut pie margarita as drinks. All were fabulous and not too sweet. Well made, tasty drinks have been hard to come by in my travels so this was a welcome change. A lot of items on the menu sounded amazing so we opted for several tapas to share: Korean tuna bruschetta, Cajun fries, Graffiti skillet with chicken, and deconstructed blackened fish tacos. They were generous portions and while we were full we couldn’t turn down a chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream for dessert. A perfect ending because it wasn’t too sweet and who doesn’t love a good warm brownie?!

We came here on a recommendation and WOW! The food here was the best food we ate in Costa Rica. The restaurant is a little pricier but 100% worth the cost. As a big foodie, I normally like to try as many restaurants as possible but instead we opted to just return to Graffiti to try out the rest of the Menu!! So yummmy!! Everything just has that little extra level of flavor your hoping for.

Loved it from the moment we walked in. There may not be a beach view, but it’s in the back of an adorable pedestrian courtyard and has really cool decor full of plants and paintings. Service is attentive and friendly — exactly what you’d want. Cocktails were delicious. We had at least 5 different ones, and each one was fantastic. The toasted cocktail rim on the coconut margarita was truly special. Great wine options too like the French rosé. Loved the food as well. Candied pork belly appetizer is crispy and so prettily plated. Chicken stuffed with pear and Gouda and bacon is top notch. Mahi filet was tender and juicy. House salad is huge and really flavorful.

Beautiful atmosphere with delicious food. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. He provided us with a great wine recommendation which paired nicely with our dinner. Although, the food is pricey it was definitely worth it as the experience was excellent. Would definitely recommend!

We've been in Costa Rica for one week and this is our best food so far, and the best service. The caramelised pork belly starter was amazing. I wanted everything on the menu. Great wines, too.

For a wine bar it may not measure up for those looking for a extreme collection. That said, the venue, food, and especially the staff are top notch! We had a fantastic time and, (we're basically illiterate in Spanish) it was easy slide in and get comfortable.

Diamond in the rough, been around the longest in this plaza. Food was top notch, Victor at the bar and Veronica serving were a delight. I’m a food snob and I was impressed. My favorite review is that “the food in Jaco sucks” and this place doesn’t fall under that category by any means. Simply delicious with great wine recs and delicious cocktails. Jalapeño cucumber margarita! Get outta here! Give them your money, they deserve it. Their special change every week but the tenderloin was perfect and the Korean atún bruschetta was to die for.

The night we decided to come here, we were so hungry and tired, we didn't even think of taking pictures. We both ordered of the daily specials menu and got a few drinks as well. The service was great but the food was just ok. We ordered a side of edamame with the shoestring fries, then I ordered the sea bass on asparagus risotto, and my friend ordered the tuna tartar. My fish was a little dry... as if they had it ready and kept it under the warmer for too long. The bistro blends traditional Costa Rican and international fares. The decor was very current (we spotted a few IG vloggers there) and the vibe was very young. Overall, the pricepoint was a little high, but I give it a 4 because of the good service.

Restaurant is located in an open air shopping center so you can choose to either sit outside with fresh air or inside with the ac. Ambience was really nice. Our server, Brie, was great. Very knowledgeable about menu and specials. We didn’t hesitate to order both dinner specials - salmon ‘sashimi’ and sesame crusted tuna. Both of them were phenomenal. The pork belly appetizer is also worth trying. Very happy and very full by the end of the meal. Will definitely be back!! Thank you :)

The menu is unique and the food is delicious. I recommend the beef tenderloin, the Cajun fries, and the fish tacos. We also had a bottle of Merlot which paired well with everything. Overall, the restaurant has a really nice vibe and located in a great area.

Amazing restaurant. Delicious food. Beautiful art. Cute cats. Kid-friendly with high chairs and a kid corner that has toys, coloring, and a swing. We came here for lunch with our toddler and our waitress was absolutely the best with him! She brought him toys while we were waiting for our food and played with him. Incredible service!

Came here for lunch and it did not disappoint. The pineapple basil margarita was delicious and I don’t normally order margaritas. Picture is of the mahi mahi tacos! I also don’t normally like mahi mahi in the States but this was so fresh and good. My friend also got the passion fruit ceviche which was the best I’ve tasted during my time in Costa Rica.

Wonderful, colorful eatery! I can’t tell you how special this place is! It’s colorful, friendly, and uplifting with a fun vibe. I’d come in here even I weren’t hungry just for the atmosphere! But then they serve the best guacamole ever and you’re hooked! And the drinks, oh the drinks… even the non-alcoholic drinks are beautiful, tasty and refreshing!The staff cares about quality ingredients and you can taste the difference. Fun, ample indoor seating - Check ‘em out.

This place is a mini oasis tucked on the side off the main strip. Highly recommend. Vegetarian and GF options available. We had the loaded burrito, the Tico breakfast and the GF banana pancakes and they did not disappoint! The pancakes come with a sugar cane reduction (instead of syrup) and it was amazing!

Really good food. Went here for dinner and it was amazing. The ceviche may be one of the best I've had. Really good. Love the plantain chips. Also their coconut shrimp was just amazing. Saw their brunch menu and had to come back and try it. Tried their chirizo eggs Benny with chipotle hollandaise sauce and it was amazing as well. Good stuff here. Highly recommend, I came back twice in 2 days, it was that good. High recommend this place

Very pricey but pretty good food and drink. Great live music every night. The hummus was good, but they hardly give you any bread for it. I asked for more bread to actually finish the 2nd half of hummus, and they said it would be an extra charge. 🙄 I don't recommend the ribs. Pretty dry. Kind of annoying that when you speak Spanish to the staff, they reply to you in English.

We had a lovely time at The Green Room, we visited on a Thursday when they had the 2000mil wine deal on (winner). I ordered the tuna burger, which was a great portion with loads of fresh guacamole and crispy fries. My sisters ordered the fish tacos, and the caprese starter, and both really enjoyed. Service was very quick and friendly, and we also loved the local cats who came to sit with us. Only feedback would be the water sprayers that run constantly if you sit outside - they make you/your food a little soggy after a while. They are probably nice at lunch time but could be turned off/down at night! Live music was nice, too.

The ceviche is AMAZING! The ambiance is comfortable for a dinner and live music. All the food we had was fantastic. The staff was very polite and friendly.

Stopped here for breakfast based off of reviews and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere of the patio is great and very relaxing. My husband and I each had a fresh juice- I had the green juice, he had the passion fruit juice. Husband had a latte that was good with a beautiful presentation. For breakfast husband had huevos rancheros, I had egg white omelette, we shared banana pancakes and I had a side of sweet plantains. Husband loved the huevos, and my omelette was delicious. Pancakes were ok- they were very dense which was surprising. Not actually “banana pancakes” but rather pancakes with banana added- if that makes sense.

The ambiance and vibe of this place were really cool, but unfortunately I got pretty terrible service. It wasn't very busy, but it took at least 35 minutes to get our drinks, and another 25 for the food to arrive. The drinks were nice- the presentation was pretty and they tasted decent. Nothing to complain about there. We ordered the ceviche and when it came out it was warm, and the fish tasted off. Also decided to take a chance on the beet carpacio and it just didn't make much sense- it was too much beet sliced way too thick served with 3 small pieces of sourdough bread. We didn't see our server the entire time. We flagged him down for the check 3 times- each time he said it would be right out. This went on for about an hour. In the end, I calculated the bill and left the money on the table. Hopefully this was just a fluke, but I don't plan on returning.

One of our favourite places in Jaco — really great atmosphere, fresh & delicious food 😍. We had the veggie Rancheros for brunch which was so tasty. Coffee was great. Juice & smoothies were okay. Would go back again & again for food & coffee!

We came here from breakfast one morning and drinks one night. The food and vibe here is right up my wife and my alley. We felt right at home. My breakfast burrito was delicious. My wife said her eggs Benedict had a little more dill than she would prefer but she still enjoyed it. The main attraction, in my opinion, is their drinks! So good. I’m not sure if I even remember all the delicious drinks I had. I remember a chai tea margarita, delicious! Can’t go wrong with a fresh Piné Coloda. We had some other really good drinks I can’t quite remember the name of. All so good! The prices resemble that of an artisan restaurant. A little on the pricier side.

Went 2 days in a row & basically pretty much everything on the menu was unavailable. At lunchtime too so not sure what would be left for dinner. Very disappointing for such a nice looking place. Seems they run out of food after 2 or 3 tables which seems like terrible food prep planning to me! What we did have was fried & super average. Guac was nice but that’s it. We also ordered a salad which they forgot about. Won’t go back. Very expensive for what we ended up having.

Great place! Like a little artistic oasis in the middle of hot and crazy Jaco. Very friendly staff and nice music. There are many nice sounding vegetarian and vegan options in the menu (although we haven’t tried any of the food)

Our favorite place to eat in Jaco. Their food is amazingly fresh. Fish delivered daily for the kitchen to prepare. Alejandro was fantastic.

Cool little location to swing by. The food was ok. Nothing wow'd me. Met a new friend 🐈 which was the highlight to me. Simple menu, and the fans kept it cool.

Nice atmosphere, quiet place. The food was good, they have healthy options, and were priced reasonably. The service is where it goes wrong. The service staff seems uncaring and are a bit rude. It also took 45 minutes to prepare an avocado toast despite the restaurant being nearly empty. So if you don't mind a subpar service and have time to wait, you can get a good meal here.

The food here was phenomenal. Service however was lacklustre. Our waiter seemed annoyed and when we asked a question he looked at us blankly which made things awkward and uncomfortable. He did warm up by the end of dinner service a bit, but only after we ordered more drinks. Probably the best food we had in Costa Rica but also the least courteous service.

Great service, delicious food. Good drinks. Cozy atmosphere. Came on a Tuesday night - had the special ribs in pineapple bbq - fall off the bone good. Boyfriend had crispy chicken pasta with a vodka sauce. Sauce was creamy and well made.

Eat here! Our server, Ivan, was super friendly and helped us select from the menu. Our food was absolutely delicious! Like lick-your-plate delicious! 😋 We will be back!

Our dinner here was great! Tried the lobster piccata and sea bass specials and they were delicious. Very happy with the Cobb salad and kids steak as well. Nice that it’s off the street (upstairs) and they have AC if you sit inside.

We brought some fresh wahoo and Mahi in and Chef Richard did not disappoint 🤤 10/10 recommend and will definitely be coming back on our next trip

We had a recommendation to take our catch here after a day of fishing. We had mahi mahi and yellowfin tuna. They created an amazing four course meal including tuna tataki, mahi fried fish fingers in some kind of creamy tomato sauce, tuna sushi rolls, and their signature dorado dish for dinner. We were STUFFED but so happy with the incredible service and delicious food.

Amazing! We brought our fresh catch and they cooked it up for us in a variety of ways. It was so great we brought more back a couple days later. Then I went back my last night in Jaco to try their mahi from the menu and of course it was out of this world. Legit some of the best food I’ve ever had. Best food in Jaco! Every dish we ordered was amazing and the staff went above and beyond to make the experience one of a kind. All of the specials sounded amazing but one can only eat so much. Would highly recommend Lemon Zest to anyone looking to try something new.

Such an amazing evening at Lemon Zest! The drinks were on point. All the food was perfectly prepared, seasoned and cooked. Staff was attentive and the atmosphere was modern yet cozy. Definitely recommend!!

I found the white fish sashimi to be quite chewy, I’d go for the tuna instead. Seafood was fantastic, but the dish is very rich, so I probably wouldn’t order it if you were on a diet. The broth was flavourful and the seafood was not over cooked. I had plenty leftovers to take home.

Came here twice during our vacation because we loved this place so much! Very friendly staff and delicious food. As a vegetarian they had lots of options for me, vegan too! Also the garlic edamame was the best I’ve ever had. Love that its off the main road so a bit quieter. Highly recommend if you’re in Jaco and a sushi lover!

Absolutely delicious dinner! So glad we found this cute restaurant just off the main strip. We had a combination of appetizers, sushi rolls, and a wok bowl. The fresh smoothie was also a bonus! Welcoming staff and fun environment for our first night in Jaco!

AMAZING. Unique, delicious sushi in a fun environment. Probably some of the best sushi we’ve ever had. Service was phenomenal and the bartender was a lot of fun. Drinks were top notch btw. If you’re in Jaco, you have to try this tucked away sushi cafe!

Ohana is a great sushi spot in Jaco. Delicious cuts of fish and even yakitori. Their rolls are flavorful and delicious, and their nigiri is okay. The seared nigiris were better than the raw ones. Even the shrimp coconut curry was great. The ebi bites and calamari was a bit bland and under-seasoned. The staff here is very friendly, to both Spanish and English speakers. I would recommend coming here one night and getting out of your hotel for some delicious sushi.

Best sushi spot in Jacó! Staff were very welcoming and attentive. Food was prepared quickly and was delicious. The quality and freshness was at a level I would have expected to pay much more for. I'll definitely be coming back on my next visit.

Goof stuff. Really like their tuna tartare and quail eggs yolk Nigiris. That was bomb. The staff and service was amazing and very nice. Was craving sushi while in town and we went for it. Also their roll was not bad. Really enjoys their deluxe Cali roll. Also good sake. Highly recommend and would definitely come back

Great food, drinks, and atmosphere! English and USD friendly. This was a chill little spot that we were recommended to go to by a local. Sign is a bit faded so we didn’t see it until we were right on it, so it felt like a hidden gem. Sushi was delicious—selection wide and diverse. Staff was the most helpful and attentive of any place we went all week in Jaco. Piña coladas were delicious as well.

The service here at Ohana’s was the best, most accommodating and welcoming service we received during our time in Costa Rica. They offered an assorted menu of sushi, sushi rolls and other entrees. We ordered multiple sushi rolls to share with the table, along with the spring rolls. The spring rolls were delicious and perfectly paired with a unique and tasty sauce. If you’re in the area, looking for good sushi, I would highly recommend stopping here.

Yummy 😋 This place was a great vibe and had even better sushi. They were behind in the kitchen so they brought us a free appetizer. Really friendly staff and I was obsessed with my sushi rolls. When im back in Costa Rica this is a must eat !!

Ordered “make my own” taco. We were 10 people so it took some time. The juices weren’t the best (mango and pineapple), piña-colada was okay, have had better.

Great place to eat. Most food item prices range from $4 to $8. It's not far from the beach, making it walking distance. My favorite is a taco which is $4 but adding cheese or avocado will increase the price by $1 each

Absolutely loved Taco Joint. Wish we came here before. The tacos were delicious. We had the carne asada and the chicken tacos. The meat was flavourful and the toppings were fresh. The staff was super friendly and good people. Will definitely come back. Thanks guys!!!

The food was so good I forgot to take a photo but trust me when I say it was delicious. I got three shrimp tacos because I thought they would be “street taco” size (like a taco kit) but oh no, they are huge. You really only one need one or two but it was awesome to have leftovers! Really awesome service and it was cool to have them cook it all fresh right in front of you. I highly recommend this spot for authentic, delicious tacos.

Food is mediocre, overpriced, loud music and slow service. I enjoy sour drinks but that margarita was SOOO sour. Probably wouldn’t come here again.

Do yourself a favor and AVOID this place. I wish I hadn’t just looked at the overall customer review score but actually read the individual reviews, especially the lower rated reviews. They’re spot on. Food here is absolutely mediocre. Tacos were just so-so all the way around, from the flavor of the meat to the toppings. Chips and queso were horrible—stale chips and a yellowish goo they tried to pass as queso. Finally, their cocktails are horrible. Ordered two margaritas that were so tart that your lips would pucker. And then the waiter tried to tell us that’s what margaritas taste like, as if we haven’t had margaritas before LOL. Seriously, don’t waste your time or money here.

Ok so, the tacos are DELICIOUS! Service is great. Super chill, laid back and the owner/ staff helped me with my order as well and brought their amazing local hot sauce “Dragon’s Breath”. You can choose what you like to add on the taco and build your own, I think I made the right choices with my toppings and with the owner who also helped me out ☺️ definitely recommend it to fulfill your taco cravings

OMG! Tacos are great! Fun and casual atmosphere. We had two beers. Two Shrimp tacos. Hot shrimp salad, onion rings, guac and chips, calamari. Oh and one margarita...finally bill $35. But we were told only cash. My husband ran to the bank machine and got caught in a bad rain storm. But food was delicious!!!

I liked that you can build your own taco! I always love when they let us choose our options at restaurants. We got calamari fried rings which tasted similar to onion rings. I loved all the fresh ingredients! My favorite was probably the carne asada. We also got the shrimp and fish tacos. The server was very friendly and helped us out by telling us what was good together. They were delicious tacos. Not the best tacos I've ever had, but still delicious. I'm not a huge fan of the corn tortillas they used. I bet if that was changed, it would be delicious.

We have been to Jaco twice now and the Taco Joint has been our main go to for food and drinks each time. The food is fresh and delicious and the owner and staff are incredibly kind and helpful. The grilled mahi mahi burritos with mango and avocado are my favorite. Honestly we started going for the food and fun environment but now we go for the people and the friendships we’ve created there. This place has heart and soul and I couldn’t imagine our trips to Jaco without our friends at the Taco Joint.
