Anse Georgette

Mentioned on

Beaches
Anse Georgette is a beautiful secluded beach with white sand and turquoise water on the northwest coast of Praslin Island. It can be accessed through the luxurious Constance Lemuria Resort which provides golf-cart transfers to the beach for its guests. However, non-guests must inform the hotel beforehand or arrive by boat as it is located on resort grounds.
This beach is amazing, crystal turqoise water, granite rocks, white sand. You have to register in advance at the hotel Constance Lemuria, but worth the effort.
Alajos Stepanek — Google review
One of the best. In May there were pretty big waves and strong sea currents, but it is a spectacular view. 25 min away from the parking place, you have to ask to Lemuria resort in order to pass through their resort.
Iulia Manolescu — Google review
One of the best beaches in Seychelles. Powder white sand, turquoise awesome water and some fishes at the left side of the beach where the rocks are. If you are not coming here by boat or hiking from anse lazio you need to send an email to Constance Lemuria in order to let them know on which day you are planing the visit, how many people and the hotel that you are checked in.
catalin razvan stoian — Google review
A stunning beach in the Seychelles. We’ll worth heading too. If you go via the hotel you will need to ring and book (no payment) they just don’t allow too many people walking through the resort. If you take the bus get off at the 2nd to last stop. If you want to hike there then get off at the last stop. We didn’t do the hike as it’s an hour and you need proper shoes. The walk through the hotel is super easy and you go their their beautiful golf course. We loved this beach and can totally recommend it. There isn’t a lot of shade here compared to Lazio so just keep that in mind.
Thivanka De Silva — Google review
The beach is simply breathtaking. It's a 15 minutes walk from the hotel entrance but absolutely worth it ! Personally think best beach on Praslin, take some snacks and drinks with you !
Eniko Kovacs — Google review
One of the most beautiful spots in the island. At 9 the beach is almost desert.
Andrea Rincon Ray — Google review
Great beach. Must visit. Very high current but pristine beauty, no shingles, soft and white sand, no rocks, no corals. You enter through the the Constance Lemuria Hotel with their prior permission. Its a well paved path (being part of their golf course) till the beach. Its a good 1.7 km walk from where you park your car / entry gate and the beach with high inclines going up and down. Amazingly beautiful beach. Must visit. Sharing some pictures too
Deepak Azad — Google review
For me the most beautifull beach in the Island. Park in front of lemuria resort. You Have to walk through beautifull golf corse. You need to fill some forme at the gate of lemuria resort.
Suzana ?ipek — Google review
The beach is simply breathtaking. The turquoise water and white sand create a mesmerizing scene. The untouched beach, surrounded by cliffs and trees, adds an element of privacy. Apart from one stall, there's no food or drinks available, so it's recommended to bring your own. Additionally, the entrance is through a hotel, and the walk within the hotel to the beach takes about half an hour.
Mai Srugo — Google review
Very lovely and gorgeous beach, with beautiful white sand and crystal clear water. When we visited there were some waves, but it was really good for swimming and lying around. On the way here you need to go through the hotel’s golf course, and you need to call a hotel a day before to register for a visit. The walk is very light, 15 mins through the golf courses.
Milos Milovanovic — Google review
Secluded, beautiful beach. However, it takes a lot of walk to reach the beach, either through Constance Lemuria resort or a trail from Anse Lazio. The shortcut through the resort isn't short enough as thought so. One needs to go through uphill and downhill adjoining the golf course. Is worth the experience.
Manojkumar Nambisan — Google review
It's a must on Praslin!!! Our favourite beach on this beautiful island. Perfect white sand, big waves, cristal blue water, shadow and all that you dream for a paradise beach 😍 To get here, make a call to Constance Lemuria to announce the visit, than you have to cross their golf field (super 20 minutes walk). Is worth it!
Oana Carolina — Google review
A nice beach, but is it worth the uphill walk? This is a very nice beach with very clear water. It’s an easy walk from one end to the other, and there are lots of trees for shade. You can snorkel there, and I saw quite a few colourful, tropical fish and some small schools of others, and a small turtle. You need to watch the fairly strong currents though, if you get too far out from the rocks, and there is very little coral or undersea flora to see. There are limited lounges to hire, and they only take cash. There are two small bars there, and they also sell fruit platters. It is a long, very steep, uphill and downhill walk from the car park to the beach. It is hard work on a hot day. Some people walked faster than us, but many others like us found it hard work, and it took 40 minutes one way. Those who claim it is a ten-minute walk clearly didn’t check the time properly. We live in a country with some of the best beaches in the world, and we have seen many different kinds around the world, but is this in the top ten? I think the claim is exaggerated; especially when you take the long, steep walk into account. I’ve seen it and it was nice, but I would not return, because of the walk. I think Anse Lazio is equally as nice, and the snorkelling is much better. I saw just as many beautiful fish and a turtle, but there is also a lot more coral growth there; many beautiful new pinkish pieces are clearly surviving well, but there were many varieties of other types there also.
Portpad Traveller — Google review
Almost the prettiest beach in Seychelles. It is worth renting transparent kayaks then you can take photos from the water
Irek F — Google review
A little piece of paradise. We visited Anse Georgette 4 times in 10 days, twice "regularly" (by booking with the Lemouria resort), once by a boat and once by the trail from Anse Lazio (intense, but recommended). The beach is absolutely stunning, with powder-like sand and clear water, but mostly strong waves. Still perfectly safe even for children. The only possible downside is that this is a wrong beach for snorkeling (nothing to see). Bring your own food and drinks, as there is nothing to buy here but a mixed fruit plate (great, though) served on a palm leaf by two friendly local guys.

Vallée de Mai, Praslin, Seychelles

Mentioned on
National park
Nature & Parks
Vallee de Mai is a 19.5-hectare nature preserve in Praslin, Seychelles and one of the two UNESCO World Heritage sites in the country. It features an ancient forest of rare Coco de Mer palms that produce the largest seeds/nuts in the world. The park is also home to various unique flora and fauna including orchids, black parrots, Seychelles sunbirds, bronze geckos, and tiger chameleons.
What an amazing experience! We were there when it was raining VERY heavily, but the palm trees were protecting us from the rain so we could enjoy everything. We saw coco de mer (lots of them), lots of different types of birds, trees, this is a great option if you want to try something else than beaches. don't forget your insect repellent 😊
Monica's Travels — Google review
Very nice walk in the jungle, feels like Jurassic Park. The trail is very easy, it is not as much hiking as a walk through a very interesting forest. Recommend the longer 2-3 hour trail because you won't be bothered by the big groups just stopping in the middle of the path being loud. I think a guide would provide valuable information but we went on our own and managed to find most of the objectives, the black parrot etc.
Mihai Zaharia — Google review
We bought the combo ticket Vallée de Mai & Fond Ferdinand. You can visit each reservation in different days. We enjoyed both. Vallée de Mai is an easy walk, I think you can learn more things if you choose to take a guide. However, we like to enjoy the ride alone. On the other hand, Fond Ferdinand is more suitable to go without guide. You have quite a hike with a wonderful view at the end. Bonus, you can spend time with the giant tortoises. We preferred more Fond Ferdinand, but both experiences have been great.
Ovidiu Briceag — Google review
Really worth a visit. It is really special walking underneath these giants and meeting the local snails, frogs and birds. This is a good activity for a rainy day, as the canopy is so dense, we stayed drie underneath. The paths are well maintained and easy to follow. The gift shop is nice and the toliets are clean. They have a nice little café, but check what they can prepare for you before you order, as they did have a few things that were out of stock on the day that we were there. I would also recommend going early - it gets really busy with large tour groups later in the morning / around lunch time.
Maché De Jonge — Google review
First of all: it’s beautiful! But here some useful information. After checking our temperature you will be asked to walk wit a guide for 150-200 rupee in English of French. After declining that she told us we don’t see the black parrot if we don’t be guided: newsflash! We’ve seen a lot of them! Just listening for the call and falling berries and you will see the parrot. It’s is really easy to walk the long (2KM) route. We did it with stopping and making photos in 1 hour. It’s a clean and paved park for a nice morning walk!
Pedro El Toros — Google review
This is the most incredible jungles in Seychelles, exciting and breathtaking. Giant palms and local coconuts. The hiking path is not hard at all even from 4 yo child. Everywhere you can find a bench to rest if requires. We were lucky to notice a black parrot, several local birds, a hedgehog and giant nails. In the middle of July it's quite fresh weather, better to put on a hoody. are interesting
Zakhar Panko — Google review
Beautiful place with plenty of endemic trees. Great to finally see the coco de mer. We did spend 90min going along the circular path. Managed to see the black parrot. The fee is 450 Rupees (it is expensive but going to a good cause)
Nicolas Guichard — Google review
We went to the park today in the morning, right after it opened. The entrance fee was 450 rupees per person. At the entrance, several tour guides offered us their services for different prices (1000 rupees for 2 people, and another 40 euros for two people). The park was beautiful and we were lucky enough to see black parrots. There are some spiders in the park. Wonderful experience.
Verena Pichler — Google review
We arrived with a rented car, parked in the adjacent parking lot, paid an entrance fee and chose to take a guide plus 150 rupees per person, a choice that turned out to be very correct. Our guide was called Albert, a guy with the joy of life and the ability to convey information in a light and fun way, who is in his company for about two hours, the place is shady and pleasant to stay with and Albert's explanations were very enjoyable.
??? ????? — Google review
Had a short tour of the forest for about 30-45 minutes. The tour was part of a longer 1 day excursion so time was short. Our guide was very good and we got a good insight into the forest and particularly the Coco de Mer trees. The walk is very easy and even though it was a hot day the forest canopy provides good shade. Take plenty of bug repellent, you will need it.
Graham Hutchinson — Google review
The tropical rainforest feels like stepping into jurassic park. Palm leafs of 4-5m which are perfect to shelter under for the tropical rain (we had that day).
John Nell — Google review
It's really worth visiting. It is very atmospheric, especially in the rain. There are a number of trails through the Palm forest from where you can see the coco de mer palms.
Ian Grant — Google review
Age old palmtrees, tropical heat and local guides available. Praslin wildlife visible, easy to walk on solid paths.
Fabian Baumgartner — Google review
Ancient forest of Coco de Mer. The biggest palm or coconut in the world. This is a place to visit in the island. We came here on day trip from Mahe.
Jimmy Wongso — Google review
Nice place to visit if you want to see the native palm trees with the famous huge melon sized coconuts. If you are lucky you may spot some creatures like black parrot, tenrec, chameleon or golden gecko. A bit expensive for 450SCR per person. We did not want to take a guide (of course, you are told you miss a lot) but we like to explore ourselves, with as much time as we want to look around and take photos. It has taken 2-3 hours to slowly walk through all the paths.
Radek Horak — Google review
Expensive but goes to upkeep of the heritage site! Beautiful walk through the jungle with a chance to see the iconic Coco de Mar trees and local wildlife. Very cool stop!
Jordan Thomas — Google review
A very unique place and an awesome experience. Highly recommended to take a guided tour in the park. The story is very interesting and fun!
Maxim Novikov — Google review
It's too expensive for what it is. We tooked around 1 hour and half to finish the long way, and we didn't find much apart from the coco de mer. 450 scr without guide. Little bit disappointing.
ToniPS — Google review
Beautiful jungle, definitely worth "one" visit. Guides are annoying, trying to tell you you're incapable of doing the walking tour alone. A lot of staff just doing nothing, I am not surprised about the high entrance fee. The unfriendly cashier on 03.04.2024 definitely chose the wrong job. All the others were friendly. 5/5 for the scenery, 1/5 for everything else.
N F — Google review
Worthless especially if you're an Indian as you would have visited tropical places such as Kerala etc. This offers no unique views besides the local fruit which you'll see enough of. Better head to the amazingly beautiful beaches that this island offers which we thoroughly enjoyed

Anse Lazio

Mentioned on
Beach
Nature & Parks
Anse Lazio is a well-known and highly regarded beach located on the northwest tip of Praslin island. This gorgeous, pristine beach boasts aqua waters and soft white sand framed by palm trees and granite boulders at either end. It is a popular spot for snorkeling among the rocks along the bay's arms, but it never feels overcrowded.
Quiet, beautiful, not crowded, and totally perfect beach. Get there early to get a shady spot, you can park close and walk 10m to the beach. Great snorkeling by the rocks at the right side, even my 5 year old could see all the fish. Best beach on the island
Ariel Schuetz — Google review
Our most favourite beach on the Seychelles. White sand, also in the water. Plenty of shaded areas, not crowded even in peak times, and the parking lot is also close. The iconic granite rocks and the crystal clear blue / torqoise water are amazing. Good for relaxing, swimming, snorkeling. Definitely should be on your list!
Alajos Stepanek — Google review
Excellent beach. Recommended the parking at the last restaurant where they also have toilets and showers. It is 100 scr and some discount at restaurant. The water is clean and the beach is amazing you also have space to hide from the sun
Sergiu Craitoiu — Google review
One of the most beautiful beaches I saw. Wide beach and shade from palms, coconuts selling available. Good for sunset
Olga Medvedjko — Google review
Amazing scenery. A must visit. Yes it gets busy but if you go early it's quite peaceful. Heaps of fish in the water just 2m off the beach so is great for snorkling . Plenty of trees to set up under on the banks. The water can come up quite high so make sure you perch on a bank and not on the flat.
Jarrod S — Google review
The trip to Anse Lazio was organized for us by the Coco de Mer hotel and Mr. Ahmed. We embarked on a bus journey across Praslin Island, where we admired the beauty of this island, a true paradise. Upon arrival, just a few meters' walk separated us from what, in my opinion, is the most beautiful beach in the world. You have the option to rent a beach lounger for 100 rupees, which I recommend as the sand on the beach is very fine and easily sticks to the skin :) with the rental of loungers, you also have access to toilets and showers. Locals stroll along the beach, offering coconuts for a friendly fee, which you can drink and eat from. Now, onto the beach and the water itself, my wife and I didn't want to leave the water because it was so wonderful, with waves, clear water, and the sun—it's all you need. However, I must warn you, if you don't have a rash guard, be sure to apply sunscreen because it is very strong and you can get severe sunburns. Otherwise, it's heaven on earth, and we will definitely return.

The most beautiful Beach in Seychelles. Clean, white sand, different shades of blue water, some rocks scattered around. Very photogenic and has good shade to cool off. Enjoyed our time here and took some amazing personal pics. Loved it. If you want to eat or drink or even use the shop, bring your own, the restaurant close by is a disappointment in all standards, don’t be fooled
H T — Google review
It is the most beautiful beach in the island. A lot of weddings are celebrated here and you can see one if you are lucky.. it is also a wonderful spot for snorkeling where you can swim with marine turtles and rays. In the eastern part of the beach, in the low water near the shallow, you can always find cute baby sharks… don’t worry! They are not dangerous! Enjoy the wonderful landscapes and wildlife of this place!
Chiara C. — Google review
Wow, what a sunset experience for ages, at this beach! This is a beach that has made to the front page of so many travel magazines. Anse Lazio is huge and has incredibly soft white sand. Anse Lazio is also perfect for swimming.
Manojkumar Nambisan — Google review
So fun playing with waves!!! 😍😀😃Waves are a little big but NO currents sweeping or dragging people away into farther deep sea. Sands are very soft and the beach doesn’t drop off suddenly in the water which makes it safe and fun to swim. And there are professional lifeguards looking down. Personally this seems like the safest beach to swim in the Seychelles.
Gloria Kim — Google review
The most beautiful beach on Pralin, but that also means it is the most popular beach. But the beach has more than enough places with shade so you should be able to find a spot. Depending on the time of the year there can be big waves and swimming/snorkeling is not always possible. When I was here at the end of May the sea was too rough, but even on those days it is beautiful place to walk around and enjoy the views and not really swimming but high waves can still be fun.
Robbie van Doorn — Google review
Best beach in the Seychelles, we went to all 3 of the big islands and this was my favourite, the water was pristine and the sand white and soft. Absolutely loved this place. Pictures do not give it justice We went early in the morning and the beach was empty, parking is available close by. (Paid parking)
Ish — Google review
Very nice beach, the only thing is the paid parking. But if I would have land next to such place, I would probably do the same easy income business. You can walk around the coastal area, which will get you to smaller beaches, if you continue the trek further you can even get to the Lemuria golf resort with Anse Georgette. Beware of waves, and tide level on the smaller beaches.
Radek Horak — Google review
Anse Lazio is one of the best beaches on Praslin Island. Though not perfect for swimming cause of strong waves but its picturesque, perfect white sand and feels like you are living a postcard scenery. It has one of the paid parking, usually it is free everywhere else in Praalin. One you park your car and pay seychelles rupees 100 you walk down for 5 mins to reach the beach. There's a restaurant near beach which also charge Rs.100 but offers you wi-fi, bathroom and shower facilities along with parking space. This made sense so better to park at this restaurant rather than parking at the first parking lot.
shubham kumar — Google review
The most beautiful beach on Praslin. You can also snorkel on one part of it although the water is a bit murky. There is plenty of different fishes, some corals, lots of stingrays and I also saw a turtle. The beach was not over crowded and everyone had a spot in the shade. There is also a shack serving fresh juices and some cocktails on the beach.
Aljaž Dovč — Google review
One of the best beaches in the world. Pristine white sand beach, usually not a lot of rush, nice beach for snorkeling & swimming.

Anse Lazio is a stunning beach located on the northwest coast of Praslin, which is the second-largest island in the Seychelles. It's renowned for its pristine white sand, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and lush surrounding vegetation. Anse Lazio is often ranked among the world's top beaches due to its natural beauty and excellent swimming and snorkeling opportunities. It's a popular destination for tourists seeking relaxation and breathtaking scenery in the Seychelles.

Curieuse Island is a small and serene island located in the Seychelles. One of its unique features is that it's the only other place in the Seychelles where coco de mer palm grows, besides Praslin Island. The island also boasts a giant Aldabra tortoise breeding program, which allows visitors to encounter these land giants up close and personal.
Definitely must see,we booked our trip by Angel tours and everything was 💯,turtles, little hike,beaches,snorkeling-extraordinary experience👌🏼

This small island is home to many giant tortoises, as well as beautiful beaches and hiking trails. On Curieuse, one can encounter giant tortoises (also known as Aldabra Tortoise) in their natural environment. There is a separate entry fee to this island, which was included in the tour package. The Geoli Charters tour dropped us at one end of the island and picked us up at the other end. At the starting as well at the end point, well arranged BBQ spots to self-cater were available. One can take a quick shower at the starting point before embarking on the trail. The trail though of moderate difficulty, feels relatively long on an afternoon. The best part of the trail is the boardwalk through mangrove swamps. Plenty of giant tortoises at the start and end spots. White sandy beach at the end where we are picked up by the tour boat, was a welcoming sight.

Must go to take a glance at the ecosystem of the island. Trail hiking at the National Park can offer a picturesque view of the sea. Turtoises are friendly and kind. Some of them love humans. 🐢
Gloria Kim — Google review
Money really spent on nothing. We saw four Turtles and an empty shell. We walked around the island where there was nothing but trees and crabs and then a long wait for dinner that took up half a plate. Then a long wait for a short dive. We listened to everyone serving us about their family tragedies, and of course everyone expects a tip. There were no extras for dinner. Big money for nothing. You can see the same turtles on La Digue by going to the Anse Source d'Argent beach for a few times less money. On the beaches around the island we saw two sharks and then there was diving because these sharks are supposedly harmless?? It's not true. There have been accidents with them, but the creoles don't talk about it. We really regret that we didn't rent a boat instead of this expensive, boring and overrated trip. We could go around the islands and dive longer.

Curieuse Island or the Turtle Island. It is closer to the north coast of the island of Praslin.  It was a wet landing here at Curieuse Island as motor boats will drop you till the shallow waters of the beach and not upto the land. Curieuse Island is a protected reserve and has a very high landing fee per visitor – About 800 Seychelles Rupees/ Person. The area is declared as Curieuse Marine National Park to protect the turtles and sea life. The island has mostly rocky beaches and serves as a nesting ground for Aldabra Giant Tortoises. We landed at the Ranger's Station, which as per the caretaker, is home to about 250 Aldabra Giant Tortoises. They also rear the young ones under protected environment. We saw a lot of tortoises roaming freely around the park. There is a small beachside restaurant also, and one can find some tortoises lazying around there too. It was a great afternoon spent admiring these lazy and beautiful creatures. The park has a trail which leads you to the Doctor’s house and its beach ie at Anse St. Joseph. Its a very beautiful beach by the way...you can easily spend some hours here. Along the trail enroute to Anse St. Joseph beach from ranger station, we saw some Coco- de –Mer trees and giant takamaka trees as well.
Prateek Singh — Google review
Must see spot in Seychelles 🇸🇨 It was an amazing full-day excursion from Praslin. Giant tortoises are adorable. Mangrove forest is good too, but please do not go to Doctor’s House it's not worth it. The trail is about 2.5km one way through the forest and rocks. The local museum is just a few roll-ups with the text from Wikipedia. You can skip this spot and spend more time with the tortoises.
Andrew Alexeyev — Google review
Highlight of our trip! Sooo many tortoises 🐢 🐢🐢🐢 and they were so cute! Then a 40minutes hike to reach to the other side of the island where it is better to swim and it was stunning!

It's a beautiful island in the middle of Seychelles. We visited here as a part of the Cousin, Curieuse and St. Pierre package with Sagittarius Taxi Boat Excursions. The place is stunning as it gets. We finished lunch and did a 40 minute hike which got us walking through some mangrove vegetation over wooden bridges and finally got to the other end of the island and fed some tortoises as well.

Les Lauriers Restaurant is a newly-opened, modern dining spot with 30 seats right by the ocean. The traditional yet cozy build exudes unique charm, and the large terrace offers a stunning view of Anse St. Sauveur while allowing guests to savor the sounds of the waves. Specializing in fish and local seafood dishes, this restaurant also hosts a Creole BBQ every night except Wednesdays.
Fantastic restaurant, with excellent dishes (the best food I’ve had so far in the Seychelles). Amazing, friendly and attentive staff, who went above and beyond to help me organise a last-minute birthday dinner. A phenomenal experience overall, would definitely recommend!

Their ability to accommodate both small and large groups with equal finesse speaks volumes about their dedication to customer satisfaction. In conclusion, dining at this restaurant is more than just a meal; it's an experience to be savored and remembered. With its earthy summer vibe, mesmerizing.

Food was delicious, but the service was confusing, there were at least 5 people coming to our table and confused each other with the orders. Also, they should install more fans as it is very hot and humid. Be aware that the prices in the menu DO NOT include VAT and service tax, which total 25%, that adds a lot to the final bill!

I loved this place. It’s beautiful, and the food is hands down the best I had in Seychelles. I went on a buffet night, emailing them the night before to make a reservation (definitely required). There’s a grill station where they grill fish and different kinds of meat. The beef is the best I’ve ever had, so tender and juicy!! same for the fish! They also have salads, sides, desserts. The price is around 650-700 per person drinks excluded but considering what the island has to offer, it’s a great deal and great quality.

It was advised several times to the waitresses that one of the diners was seriously allergic to eggs. Despite this we had to escape because one of the dishes had been contaminated. It is unacceptable that a restaurant that wants to present itself as high level cannot afford these serious carelessness which compromise the safety of its diners.

This was our favourite restaurant on Praslin. Firstly you need to know, most restaurants on the island close kitchen orders by 9pm. On our first night in Praslin we went out for a late dinner and was shocked to find everything closed. Luckily Les Lauriers came to the rescue and offered to cook us Pizzas. The service and food was so great we wnt back the next night for the Creol Buffet. It was eat as much as you like for 650.00SCR but the choice and quality of food was excellent. You had multiple salad options, curries, and fresh BBQ meat from the grill, including chicken, beef and fish. There was also a full range if sweet desert options. We stayed all night, enjoyed the DJ and danced until they closed. A great night out.

One of the best dinner experience so far in Seychelles. We enjoyed the excellent quality of food, from appetizers, mains, desserts, and drinks. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, as is the ambiance. Highly recommended whilst on the island!
Cengiz Tunçkaya — Google review
We got there for 7.30, so the buffet was just starting.  All the salads were prepared and the meat and fish was on the grill. The ambiance was just right, and everyone was buzzing for this delicious feast which was before us.  All the staff were very friendly. I went up for four plates as the food was that good.  The beef from the BBQ was so tender it almost melted in my mouth.  The fish was so juicy and moist and all the meats and fish were marinated to perfection.  The chef at the grill was a master of the BBQ.  The selection of salads which included many Creole salads and ingredients was astonishing, new salads came out during the evening so there was always something new to try.  Desert options were great and we opted for Lemongrass sorbet and mango icecream. Both were wonderfully refreshing. Best buffet on Praslin?  Word of advice, skip lunch before visiting here for dinner because the food is so good you will be going up for more!

Les Rochers Restaurant is a newly-opened, modern eatery with 30 seats right on the ocean's edge. The traditional yet cozy interior exudes unique charm, while the large terrace offers a stunning view of Anse St. Sauveur and allows diners to savor the sounds of the waves. Specializing in fish and local seafood dishes, this restaurant also offers a delectable range of crustacean delicacies such as crab soup and grilled lobster.
We came here for drinks and dinner. The food was outstanding. So much so, we came back for a second time a few days later. The food was just as good the second time. Everything tasted amazing and fresh. Packed with flavour. We loved that with our mains there were sides to share, it was exactly what we wanted. As well as amazing food this place has breath taking views, with the best sun set around. Do not miss out on this place! Make sure to book for an evening meal.

Probably the best place to eat on Praslin. Pricey, of course, but since you pay the prices of Michellin star / Bib restaurants all over the island for very average food, at least treat yourself with something fancy and tasty here. First they seated us in deckchairs on the terrace with drinks and fried banana & coconut chips. When we ordered food, they seated us inside at a table. We had marinated raw fish with lime and salad for starter to share (very tasty and big portion). For mains fish fillet & chicken curry, also big portions so you can easily share and taste. The dessert was divine - banana flambé with Takamaka rum and vanilla ice cream. Yum! All delicious. Plus - The waitress was really nice and super knowledgeable 🩵 she knew the meals well and recommended great choices. Thank you! 🙏🏻

Amazing atmosphere, excellent service and breathtaking view. The fresh fish & the octopus salad were delicious! I loved their mojito version and the espresso was unexpectedly good!! 100% recommended!!!

Being able to sit right on the beach while having amazing food is always a great experience. It's only been made better by the amazing stuff that work here who are super friendly. Definitely stop here for there for any kind of curry. But even the club sandwiches here or very good. Highly recommended for any tourist who want to have lunch or dinner with a little bit of a view

Perfect place in Praslin and I suggest to have a car rented while you visit there since the direction is the other side of most hotels in the Island Try the beef curry and the chicken casserole which both of them are great. If you are two makw sure that you share both dishes. Also there snacks coconut chips which is delicious as well. Better to have lunch between 2pm and 4pm to get some great photos. The service here is great and was surprisingly one of the best in Praslin so far

What a beauuutiful restaurant and what fabulous food- relished every single thing that we ordered. Happy and smiling staff. A little on the pricey side but worth every single penny. Fantastic views!

This was an amazing dining experience. Great service and exceptional good food. Both of course come at a price but we found it to be worth it. You should come here to watch the sunset before dinner.

Spectacular. First the mojito outdoor to enjoy the sunset. Then two flavourful dishes you cannot miss. Moreover the curry fish but also th fish with criolle sauce. I will dream of it the rest of the trip. And the lady in charge of the service I would hire for my own business back in Barcelona. 10 out of 10

Excellent location, facing the waters, and a beach to relax in serene outdoor seating. Love the romantic setup and ambience. Neatly arranged seating, both at porch and inside. Great service, and a wide range of menu, with sumptuous filling. Overall, a memorable experience, and one shouldn't miss while at Praslin. It is recommended to book in advance to reserve a seat.

I can not recommend this place enough. It was by far the best food that we have had in the Seychelles. The restaurant and viewpoint was STUNNING and the staff so professional. I worked in F&B for 19 years, and this place was everything I could ever want. Please go to La Rochers.

Just a stunning place, amazing quality of food, so tasty and so full of flavors in any dish! Picturesque location. The manager Sandra is outstanding in her devotion to the quality of service and interpretation and explanations for each dish! Really reaching in quality a Michelin restaurant!!! The best we had in whole Seychelles!!! By far!!!

I would also give 10 stars for ambience! But the available stars are not enough for the friendliness and quality of the food either

Our host recommended us this place and we were extremely happy with the decision, because the first minute we entered we had a warm welcome and really good vibes. The food was de-li-ci-ous! We were full already, but couldn't stop till we finished. That's why we came back for cocktails&dinner the evening after, when we celebrated our 1 year anniversary from civil wedding. We started with cocktails on their terrace, waiting for the sun to set, then we moved in the restaurant for dinner and then on the "porch" for some really nice time together. Really good food, nice view, nice staff and great vibes! Not cheap, but we totally recommend it, I think it was the best from Seychelles. P.S. Their fish specialties were the best! oh, and let's not forget about the banana chips and coconut for starter! 😍 it might be closed on Sunday and Monday, so make sure you call before you go!

Café des Arts is a popular tourist spot for views of the ocean and sunset. It has an extensive menu with seafood options being particularly pricey. The atmosphere is funky and colorful, with swaying palms and the sound of waves in the background.
We had an amazing experience here. The staff are extremely helpful. Mohammed our server was extremely helpful and friendly. He was the best part of our visit. The restaurant is right on the beach. You can swim and come back for delicious cocktails. Definitely recommend.

We have been there Friday evening. The security at the entrance explained us that on Friday and Saturday there is happy hour so you pay 250 rupies each and you have 2 drinks. we got in, location is very nice, live DJ set with different and mixed music. We sat in front of the ocean and ordered 2 mojitos that were really good. we really enjoyed the evening there. Also Robert, the owner, came to say Hi and ask if was everything fine. Approved !!!

Had dinner here one night on our honeymoon. The atmosphere was great, with music and lights. The sushi was very good. Our waiter Mohammad was the best, very attentive and professional. Would definitely come back here

The service at this restaurant was quite unpleasant. When asked if we were from the hotel, we replied that we were not. The waitress then began to inquire about which hotel we were from, and when questioned about the relevance of this information, she came up with the explanation that it was in case we lost something so they could know where to find us. Furthermore, they informed us that they did not have a table for us by the sea, stating that the table for four could not be given to our group of three. Later, another group of three guests arrived without a reservation and not from the same hotel, yet they were seated at the same table we were denied. The staff appeared arrogant and inhospitable throughout our experience. Service: 2/10 Food: 5/10 I do not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning.

Really great beach side bar, cafe, restaurant. Perfect island beach vibes. Can get drinks and food on the beach and shisha. The beach is really nice for swimming and relaxing. Lots of places to sit and chill. If you want sun go earlier in the day as this side of the island faces the rising sun.

Great location with few nice tables also on their on patio just by the beach. We visited twice and had very opposite experiences. First time me loved the food and service. On our second time we were a bit disappointed on both.

We didn’t stay at the hotel but visited the bar several times. The staff is really nice and the cocktails very good. Enjoying them on the large balcony while overlooking the ocean was really nice. We also went the once for dinner which was also very good but has a higher price than other restaurants on the island.

Loved the cocktail and food! Surf and Turf was amazing. Sweet potato fries were also a delight but the cocktail was the highlight! The view and location is fabulous!

We are currently staying here and I must admit if I had the option I would rate a zero review for this restaurant! Pathetic service by the rude staff. We waited 45 min for placing order and almost 50 min for a pizza . The server spilled olive oil and didn’t even bother to clean or apologize. After following up on our order they started giving excuses that it’s very busy. I had so much time that I checked their reviews online and by my surprise, most people had reviewed them for their disrespectfully inferior service! I will never come here again for lunch despite residing in the same resort! PS this is my first ever 1 star review to anyone
Mona Yadav — Google review
Pathetic place. We had hardly sat for couple of mins, ordered a beer when the waiter handed us the bill. I mean who does that? Why would you assume that someone would want to pay while starting to have their drink. What made you think we won’t go for another round ? I had read reviews of rude behaviour of their staff but unfortunately seen it first hand. Please avoid going here if you don’t want to get disrespected by them. My first 1 star review. Great work cafe des arts for spoiling my mood 👍🏻

When looking for places to eat near Cote d'Or this place usually pops up and comes highly recommended. I found it to be overrated. The location is great, especially if you can get a table on one of the plateaus near the beach. But it is very expensive and the food is nowhere near good enough to validate this price. Their menu covers pretty much every dish ever thought of. It is ridiculously extensive. Perhaps limit the options a bit and focus more on quality.
Robbie van Doorn — Google review
Great food and fun, entertaining and relaxed atmoshpere with music, funky lights and directly at the beach. I recommend making a reservation if you want to have a space right at the beach as those tables are only given away with a reservation. The food was excellent and the staff was very attentive. They have a big and varied selection from Sushi, Creole foods to international cuisine like Burgers and Italian. Highly recommend going there (with a reservation)

We ate at the restaurant tonight with our little boy. It is undeniably a beautiful setting but the service (from one of the male waiting staff) was very poor - and arguably comical at times. We waited a very long time for food and were told it was due to the busy-ness of the restaurant; given there were only a couple of other diners, this was difficult to fathom. The food, when it did come, was mediocre. I had grilled octopus which was, unfortunately, much too rubbery. My husband had spicy seafood noodles; it was reasonable enough but devoid of any kind of spice. We had high hopes for such a beautiful location but, unfortunately, the experience was let down by disappointing food - and even more disappointing service.

Located in La Passe, Fish Trap Restaurant & Bar offers a mix of traditional Creole dishes and international additions like burgers and pasta. Visitors can enjoy amazing salads and curries, as well as fresh juices and drinks. The restaurant boasts a beautiful beach view, tasty food, and friendly staff. While some found the prices to be on the higher side, others appreciated the delicious food and great service.
It's a beautiful place really loved it and enjoyed it. Best restaurant since we’ve come to seychelles. Beach view, tasty food, drinks, very friendly staff. Really amazed by the service, We were on an excursion trip and enjoyed cycling around la digue then came back for drinks again to cool off from the heat and just enjoyed the whole experience. We also had lunch at the restaurant with a group of friends, and I must say, it was an experience to remember. The restaurant has a breathtaking sunset view, relaxed atmosphere Wish we could visit again.

Nice ambiance and good service however where it comes to food quality- the presentation was excellent but that taste was so so. We took prawn sizzling plate and discovered it was cooked in barbecue sauce. The seafood curry was average. We tried much better curries in Seychelles. The rice was grey colour and lumpy. Nearby Tarosa has better taste and better value for money

We were hesitant at first because of some of the reviews here but our food was actually really delicious! Great octopus curry and fish soup. Freshly made ice tea and other drinks. Yes the prices are high, but they are not different from other restaurants on Seychelles and here at least you can have actually good food and the staff was nice to us. One drawback for me was that the curry portion should be bigger (the Bowl on photo was shallow) , It was so tasty and I wanted more!

The only one who was working was the bartender… We had two drinks, then we became a table. Waiting for a table isn’t a problem, but after that we waited 10 minutes for the menu and after that the lady that served us didn’t show up for another 15 minutes. Because of that we decided to leave of course. On the way outside the lady that served us was standing at the bar with her phone in the hand… She should move at least a bit if wants to loose some weight (she was overweight af💀). Anyway there is a way better and more affordable restaurant 2 minutes away

Service was ok, atmosphere was great. It's a beautiful restaurant next to the sea. However, the food was just mediocore while being very pricy. We've had the mixed seafood and fish platter and the fried shrimp and calamari. The fries that were served alongside were soggy and underseasoned. For anything esle, the quality of the seafood was great, but the preparation was not. Some things were luke warm while others were hot (even from the fried shrimp and calamari). I expected the tuna steak on the fish platter to be at least medium - it was well done sadly, but partly my fault for not asking in advance.

Nice location close to the harbor with a nice atmosphere- personally I selected Octopus which was a bit chewy. I understand that Octopus is not easy to make and it can become rubber like. Beside I would try this restaurant again. The people are very nice.

The food is really tasty. We enjoyed a fish & prawn kebab and a vegetable curry. The fish & prawn were fresh. The vegetable curry was a small portion compared to other places we went to. Just don‘t expect low prices, we paid 600 SCR for two mocktails, the fish&prawn kebab and the vegetable curry.

I marveled at a the themed pieces throughout the restaurant that make you feel like you're in a art gallery. We had a buffet lunch here as part of our tour. We've been living in this restaurant all week, we came in to celebrate our wedding earlier in the day, and we've had a warm welcome everytime we've come in. The foods really good (apart from big portions for a little eater). We can't complain at all. So from us newlyweds Mike and Laura - the 18 pint drinkers 🤣 thank you so much for helping us make this week on the island memorable.

We took fish&chips for takeaway. The fish was simply fantastic, maybe the best we have ever had. They have small and large portions, the large is almost too much. For the kids, choose the small. Staff is nice and friendly. You can pay with credit card, no worries about changing local money.

Magic place! We walk there under the rain and found welcoming "warm" place! Design is well balanced and very creol-island spirit. Service is how it should be. And the food (local fish dried) is tastefully great! What do you want more from La Digue??? It is not cheap, but average price level on Seychelles. But satisfaction is on the high level. Fully recommended. Come and enjoy.

We visited the place also because of some good reviews. It is a goof Ambiente but as it was a quite warm night we missed some ventilators to get to an acceptable level. Service was good and friendly but nothing exciting. We ordered some salad, the grilled tuna , the catch of the day and the tomato pasta. The tuna was the one with the highest potential. We ordered medium but got it completely dry. Tast and sauce was outstanding. But dry. The fish was nice but there are better once available in other restaurants. The other dishes were ok but nothing to remember or order again

Waitress forgot to bring drinks to us and disappeared. After I asked from another waitress we got 2/3 of our drinks. Food, both tuna and prawns was dry and tasteless. Only thing that tasted in both was lemon. Food came quite fast and drinks was okay but everything else was a disappointment.

Excellent restaurant with a good menu to select from. We opted for the fish of the day which was well portioned and at a reasonable price. Reservations are recommended as it gets quite busy. I was able to make one through Google Maps chat and received a reply promptly.

Generous portions, reasonable (European) prices, pleasant service. Mind you, this is still Seychelles and food quality is underwhelming given high prices (creole sauce with fish tasted more like simple tomato paste) but it was a good proper restaurant alternative to local takeaways. It’s a pity they don’t have tables facing the beach.

Idk why it has so many stars in the rating. Just a regular restaurant with local food. The fish of the day is very small, not worth it at all. But tuna steak is fine. Cocktails with too much sugar syrup and it is pretty expensive.
