It's scenic! Lake view is great. Gardens are pretty well maintained. Food is not so good. Just average. The staff is very slow. Indoor sitting is okayish. The AC wasn't on when we went. They switched it on later. Overall okay experience.

I had an amazing time at this place. A memory to be cherished forever. Since I went there for dinner, I was impressed by the ambience initially. Then a candle lit dinner setup was out of the world. One of the best lake side view restaurants which provide a good ambience for a romantic or candle light dinner. Food varieties are plenty to have and service is appropriate. Note: Negative point is that they are charging you 3 times for the single packaged drinking water bottle which is for Rs.20 only and charge you for Rs.60 in bill. So it's better to take water bottle on your own before entering here. When asked about clarification, the service staff don't comment and say that it's their management decision.

TL;DR - Must visit! Loved the view and food. Went here for lunch and got a lakeside table with amazing ambience and a mesmerizing view of Lake Pichola. We ordered Chicken Bhunjma, Rabodi Pyaz, Missi Roti and Brownie with Ice-cream. They served Maans Bhunjma by mistake but replaced it within 5 minutes. Rabodi Pyaz was delicious and is a must have vegetarian dish.

I have had the experience of eating in this restaurant and the service is excellent. the staff are very attentive and polite. but I think at the time the staff was less so I had to wait a little bit longer to get food. The food was very delicious.

Went here seeing the hype on google reviews and the photos of ambience. Was disappointed with the food, order took long time + was not even worth it. Lemon coriander soup was just corn water and coriander and bland. The platter that we ordered had everything uncooked and raw.. chutney was too sour and when the kebabs were refried, they got burnt from outside and were still raw inside. Wouldn’t recommend for food, just for enjoying ambience one can go. Overhyped! Service is slow but staff is good.

Nice ambience but slow service and average food. We visited for dinner and it was very cold outside. We were seated after waiting for half an hour ( get reservations before planning to visit). We ordered Chicken sizzler and Safed Maans. Also ordered pasta for kids. All the dishes were average for the price they charge and also quantity is low even by standards of luxury fine dinings.

I've eaten here before. In fact it was once my favourite restaurant in Udaipur. Times change. The setting and the views are still great. The staff were friendly but lacked professionality. The real disappointment was the food. My partners fish and chips were an unfortunate choice. The star of the plate was the hand cut chips. Not many of them and what was there was barely lukewarm. It went downhill from there. The green salad was not a green salad. My tandoori chicken was dry and tasteless. The naan was not cooked properly with raw dough in the centre. Come on Tribute, you can do a lot better. It was only pleasant memories of great meals eaten here in the past that swayed me to give you a 3.

I tried their Tandoori chicken 5/5 Fish n chips 3/5 over fried Fish kali mirch 1/5 burnt Chicken tikka masala 1/5 tasteless Service is too slow your have to wait atleast 20-30 mins for your order but staff is humble so do the owner. We gone without booking but the gentleman at the counter gave us lake side table without any delay that was a great gesture for us. Will try some other dishes next time if I will be in Udaipur 👍🏻

You will easily find rush here due to the popularity of this place. do remember they have a waiting list going on and the waiting time is sometime 40min to 1.5hrs depending upon the crowd on that day. They do serve alcohol and at a pretty decent rate. They have pints and bottles which is not that expensive. The service was decent and the vibe was amazing too. Honestly we paid the price for the atmosphere and not the food. I think in my opinion they only have good Rajasthani food which is worth trying and not the North Indian food which is acceptable.

Such an underwhelming experience. We got here around 2, sat down, took a while since the person downstairs sent us upstairs and there they asked us to be seated downstairs and ofc we refused so they separated a big table into 2 small ones to accommodate. Coming to the food, they recommended the chicken Banjara kebab, Parsa Maas and gatta curry for vegetarians. We ordered all the above. The Banjara chicken was good, took about 30 mins to reach our table. The parsa Maas, rotis and gatta curry took about 45-50 mins, which would be okay if the food was good. The gatta curry with makki ki roti was good. The parsa Maas was so oily, it was just oil on oil, and with it were fatty pieces of mutton which isn't something we liked or expected. Rs. 710 + taxes are 3/5 pieces were fat. Really disappointing. Do not recommend. The server who didn't even serve us, just got us the bill kept asking for a tip without even serving us, was also very annoying to say the least.

Just loved this place. Seems like it's quite a famous place, because it was extremely crowded and most of the tourists are guided to pay at least one visit here. It had a long waiting time and if you are looking to sit just by the compound over looking the lake - then that a separate wait time altogether. The wash rooms are not in a great shape. The food is a bit pricey, quantity and quality is great! They have car parking space within the property, but I would suggest visiting the place in a local transport, saves you some time.

However there was an issue with the food I ordered which was grilled fish with lemon butter sauce but they did not add it in the bill and apologized for it. This place is very very over hyped. We went there with lot of expectations during lunch. Let down very badly. Below average food. Parsa Maas was consisting of at least 100 ml of oil, which they may say as Rogan , but the meat also was of quite bad in texture. Nothing high about the Gatta curry. The Lahsun chutney was practically bland. The service person was insistent that we pay him a Tip. The question was for what. There was no service at all. In fact we had to remind the person twice for the chutney which was literally thrown at the table and not served. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE.

Great vibes near lake Pichola. Travel in group at night as the approach lane at night is a bit isolated and narrow. Book Autorickshaw they charge 150 to 200 at night. Reservation is recommended in evening as lake facing seats get occupied very fast for the ambience and lake Pichola view for dinner. Food is decent. Any dish can serve two people Max. 2000 buck approx dinner for 2. You may need to bargain with Autorickshaw drivers to get back to city as they demand 200 to 250 citing night time reason.

Good, neat restaurant that serves fresh and tasty food. It overlooks the lake and we went on a Saturday and it was absolutely packed.. Tried the local Rajasthani Lal Maas. A very tasty mutton dish which went well with the tandoori roti and Bira white beer. The fish grill with butter sauce and sautéed vegetables was another tasty dish.

A beautiful place for a laid back( literally , since they have mattresses )brunch/ lunch while looking at the wetland that surrounds you. Would make a gr8 place for pics. It’s a little far from the main city and they do not have a separate parking space so that’s a turn off from the start. Their place is nice, they have both indoor and outdoor seating and their staff is very polite. They are always up for customisations to suit your taste and few of their dishes are absolutely delicious, so that’s a plus, but I’ve felt personally, that their taste was better earlier. They also had a good range of vegan dishes which they no longer serve. Overall, it’s a decent place to go.

This place is a hidden gem that we discovered unknowingly. We were staying at a nearby Resort and came across it while strolling around the area. The restaurant will impress you right from the beginning with its ambience. The decorations and everything looked really beautiful. When coming to the menu, what we loved is this was a pure vegetarian restaurant, on top of that they were willing to prepare almost all the dishes per our Jain preference. Next comes the price, all the menu items are super reasonable, especially when you compare with the prices nearby resorts would charge for ala carte. Then comes the portion, which to our surprise was extremely large. We didn't expect them to give such delicious food and in such large portion. Overall we visited this place twice both times tried different dishes and they all surpassed our expectations. The staff is also extremely friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work.

Coming to the food we had millets aloo tikki which is a chaat item and it was very unique and tasty. The millets soup was tasty and all of us enjoyed it. The highlight of the day was soya chaap dhaba curry which was one of the best soya curry I have ever tasted , The soya was so soft and tasty and gravy was very flavourful. It went very well with the millet roti and butter roti which we had ordered. for the prime location the rates were pretty reasonable. The place is located just next to Sajjangarh monsoon place with rooftop view of this beautiful place amidst the Aravali hills. We went there for dinner thrice and each time they had delicious mouth watering dishes. They have tried to promote the local cereal - millets and cook some amazing delicacies to devour on. We tried millet tikki, millet Biryani, millet khichadi, millet pizza, paneer butter masala with roti basket. They were super yummy, healthy and delicious. Advance reservation recommended for dine in specially for dinner. They have bar also and serves veg non-veg food. Local artists play live music. For dinner two slots available 7-9 PM and 9-11 PM. Quality of food and service is good.

Just visited Upre in Udaipur, and I have to say, it's a real gem of a boutique restaurant. The view from the rooftop is absolutely stunning - you can see the Ghats of Udaipur and the majestic City Palace from your seat. The ambiance is so beautiful and perfect for a romantic dinner date. However, if you're planning to visit, make sure you pre-book your seats as this place is always packed. I had to book my seats two days in advance, and I'm so glad I did because I would have missed out on such a great experience. The food was delicious, although the portion size was a bit small compared to the price. But the flavors were spot on and tasted heavenly. I would definitely recommend trying the Dal Makhani. The service was also top-notch and the staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. All in all, I would highly recommend Upre to anyone who wants to experience fine dining in Udaipur with a breathtaking view. Just make sure to book in advance and be prepared to spend a bit more than usual. It's totally worth it for the stunning rooftop view alone!

Beautiful view. The food is decent. The prices are very affordable for the view it has. The dhungar maas is a speciality. The gulaab jamun with ice cream is so yum. Visit during sunset or dinner for the best ambience. There is usually waiting here, so better to book couple of days in advance. Especially during weekends.

Dining at Upre was a great experience. The food was good and also the service. We chose to have Continental and oriental food as the place is largely occupied by foreigners. Prior Reservation is a must over long weekends or holiday season and if you are lucky, you may get a walk in availability. The one thing that bothered us was while we were being seated , we were given a time limit to finish our dining which was sort of a buzzkill especially if the service is slow due to rush hours.

Terrace restaurant in a privileged location in Udaipur with spectacular views of the lake and the city. The attention of the staff could be better since the place is quite exclusive and the food is of good quality. The prices are higher than in other places at street level but according to the exclusivity of the place

Roof top restaurant has pleasant view of City Palace and Lake Pichola. View at night is more scenic. Seating at ground floor besides lake is just beautiful & photogenic. Lanes leading to Hotel is narrow and sometimes has road closures for car. You may have to walk the lanes.

This place was the highlight of my udaipur trip. We went here for lunch. The staff was so welcoming, the food was fantastic and obviously the view was brilliant. They were very patient with us while we clicked pictures. Served us food and even took us on a tour to show their entire restaurant after. We really enjoyed our time here. Ambience wise it was a beautiful restaurant but prices are high , you won’t be get a table booking easily here as there are having a Pre booking slots. 5 pm to 7 pm and 9 pm to 11 pm. You can book the table on call. Food taste is nice and quantity is also fine.However on rooftop side, tables are too short you can’t even sit and eat properly. And I will give 1 star for the washroom It’s too much smelly and not at all clean.

5 star for all. The Food tried were extremely delicious. Visited Udaipur during the elections, staffs being off duty the service was bit slow yet the food was on table right in 5 minutes are waiting.

This is one of the best lakeside restaurants. You've to have a prior booking even though it's a weekday. It's always packed. They serve you really well, like in a very calm manner. They do not hurry you. Coming to food, I wanted to try the Rajasthani specials and was very curious about Ker Sangri. I paired it with Bajre ka roti as suggested. It was one of the best Rajasthani dishes I've tried. There was so much balance in the curry and so much warmth in the dish. Cherry on top of the cake is the live light instrumental music. Overall, if you want to spend quality time with your loved ones, this is the perfect place and not to forget it's not as expensive as fancy restaurants seem to be!!

Upre... one the top dining places in Udaipur. First of all, if you're going here in peak season. Make sure you get your reservations 10days before. The place is jam-packed. Moving on the the location, it is located right above the Lake Pichola Hotel, with a view to crave for. They have normal seating and then seating on the bedding (Cabana's). The view is mesmerizing. Food quality is also decent. Service is great with everyone carrying a smile around. Must visit place in Udaipur

Beautiful ambience !! With just breathtaking view and delicious food. But just make sure to pre-book the seats. I also booked in advance to experience the cherished moments with a sunset view of udaipur ghats. The service staff was also good and attentive.And yeah the food portion is little less according to price but Worth it to visit at least once !

It is really amazing view restaurant. The night view of the city palace is really amazing. The food and its price is also good. I tried lemon ice tea, tandoori platter, dal makhni, breads, raita, gulkand rabadi and all of these were really nice. The cool breeze on the top of the restaurant made it is amazing dine in experience.

i had a good time, and that was because i went there with my friends, had a nice banter for a couple of hours, laughs and everything, complete riot. now the food. we had ordered 2 of paneer starters and 2 of chicken starters. the service was unfortunately leisurely-paced, to put it mildly. while both the paneer starters were very good, only one of the chicken starters were good, the other one had turned rather cold and chewy, as it does in the cold wintery wind. later came the main course. we had ordered a paneer gravy, a chicken gravy, and since i had never tried mutton, we had ordered mutton rogan josh. the chicken and paneer gravy were great. the mutton rogan josh however failed to leave the mark, it didn't quite reach the level of expectations i had, it was a B at best, so it was good, but not great. the place is very fancy, and we had a great time clicking photos, as you do when you visit a fancy place. the view was phenomenal. we had practically frozen ourselves for a while, but the fire 'thing' was there for the rescue.

It is definitely one of the prettiest and instagrammable restaurants in Udaipur. This one is situated very close to Hanuman Ghaat. It is better to reserve a seat here if going during peak times. I went here in evening for dinner but couldn’t get lakeside seating as I went without reservations. I tried french fries and pasta here which were fine. Overall I loved the vibes of place

This is one of the best restaurants to have your dinner with an amazing lake side view, live music, romantic atmosphere, limited tables to serve you better. This restaurant is reasonably priced so you can enjoy your meal. They have parking for 2 wheelers so you wont find any difficulty and also, they have autos standing outside till 12ish so you fan enjoy your time here. HIGHLY SUGGESTED TO HAVE PRIOR BOOKING, as you might not find a LAKE VIEW table or even a table. we had their chicken, egg biryani and bith were nicely cooked. The staff was cooperative and they behaved in a decent manner. Suggest you to have your dinner here.

Since we stayed in Hotel Lake Pichola for 2 nights, our first evening was with Upre & second @ Ambrai. Hence I’m in a better state to answer honest feedback. 1. Upre provides a better feel & food. The view from the top is just mesmerising and seating is also done so well that all guests can equally enjoy this. 2. Food is just so amazing. We ordered veg & non veg both, both were fantabulous 3. Overall service or rather hospitality is an issue in Udaipur. Somehow I feel the staff feels it’s not too important to give guests an ever lasting experience by just smiling and ensuring that extra effort. Both place are at par in this case 4. Pricing is not too high but not too less as well. Experience comes with a cost and it was totally worth 5. Since they allow you in batches of 2 hours only, ours was 7-9pm and there was only songs played in the background which were great but no LIVE performance. But by 9 they had started with LIVE sitar and Tabla which looked great. I wish they had it during our time as well. On the contrary, Ambrai had latest Bollywood songs as LIVE which enhanced the whole ambience. Overall I will still prefer Upre over Ambrai.

Good food. They have good selection of Rajasthani as well as continental food .we had mushroom chicken, mutton chaap and sauteed vegetables. The mutton chaap was outstanding. Overall i enjoyed the food here and would recommend it to fellow travellers

We visited the place with family and kids, it's a beautifully made, old bungalow like setup with rajput architecture, located near chetak circle. we ordered their stagione primaverile nepolitan pizza it looked pretty good but it tasted pretty average to us. We ordered their signature indian gravies after and they were kinda better. Menu Prices were higher than their current online ordering and menus on other Dine out platforms, the service could also be little faster. Overall It was an average experiance considering the hype.

My family is regular, I visited last night for first time and found everything perfect in accordance to casual dining space. Courteous team, good food,perfect ambience. Now a feedback and advice reg the shouting diner at your place, next time you have a client who shouts & screams within two minute of his arrival, politely show him the door, don't allow diners expecting fine dine services at a casual place and that's too within 120 seconds. He spoiled the serenity of a perfect ambience.

The coolest heritage house around has the nicest courtyard that’s set up with scenic bougainvillea and mellow lights, but that’s not the best part. The food is the star. Or the cocktails, can’t decide. Truly amazing! Had an unexpectedly pleasant dinner experience. Thanks Vishnu for an amazingly orchestrated evening. 🌻

Best restaurant near Hathipol area of Udaipur. A beautiful heritage house has been tastefully converted into a restaurant. The place has considerable heritage in terms of beautiful paintings, polo game victories and other items. Very good food. Very courteous staff.

The place accidentally came into notice through Dineout option. Just to give a casual try I just went with family for dinner. Ambience is just like a old Royal heritage property is been converted to a Restaurant well managed and hygienic. Let's talk about food....if you are a NonVeg lover(like my wife and son)than you have a treat in your hand as you will find the Udaipur's best NonVeg. But Vegetarian like me can never be dissappointed as they provide very tasteful options in Veg. Portion they provide is very well cooked only thing is that you have to have good patience as they do not compromise on cooking to serve you fast. That's what make them special. Do check there wall of Fame having so many glorious personalities visit to there place. Staff is polite and do make sure that you have perfect tastebud experience with there food.🙂 we ordered Dungaar Maans, PaneerLababdar, Egg Biryani and Naan

Visited this place, few days back - Ambience is Ok less crowded, food quality is below average (ok/ok) but the quantity of food is not value for money very high price! really disappointed! will not recommmed this place, one time visit! Palasa named place in udaipur they are serving same pizza at low rates and even more high quanlity! must visit and compare!

Poppy Restaurant: A Perfect 10 Experience (4th Visit!) Poppy Restaurant continues to impress! This was my fourth visit, and everything about the place is just perfect. The ambience is inviting, and the food is consistently outstanding. This time around, I dove into the Smoked Mushroom Galawati Kebab. These were, without a doubt, some of the best kebabs I've ever had. The texture was incredibly soft, practically melting in my mouth with every bite. The Veg Seekh Kebab with Butter Cream Masala was another winner. Served with a cheesy naan, it was incredibly flavorful and filling – a true vegetarian delight. The Egg Biryani was bursting with flavour, but for my personal preference, a touch of more spice and masala would have elevated it to an even higher level. Overall: Despite my minor biryani wish, my experience at Poppy Restaurant was a perfect 10/10. It's a must-visit place, and I highly recommend trying the Smoked Mushroom Galawati Kebab and Veg Seekh Kebab. This meal definitely made my day!

I had a great experience in this boutique restaurant. The place is so gorgeous. Staff is good. Everything is made fresh. Food is tasty. One can enjoy this place after walking all around Udaipur.

I went there for a Saturday dinner and what a decision it was! This place is amazing in every aspect! The place is located at a very prime location near the Chetak Circle. It has indoor and outdoor seating and both have a charm of their own. Coming to the food, I ordered their special Banjara Murgh and Keema Baati. Banjara Murgh is prepared in white gravy, but it is not sweet. Its mild taste was really good and the dish was very well prepared. The highlight of the evening was Keema Baati. They prepare it only on order, so it takes about 45 minutes once you place the order. But it is definitely worth the wait. The baati itself has a keema filling, which is absolutely delicious. It is served with a keema gravy, which is quite tasty. The thing I liked was how both the keema preparations were world apart! This is a must try dish and you should not miss it if you have enough time to wait! The staff is really polite and courteous, and their service is pretty good. This is one of the highly recommended places if you are in Udaipur.

Amazing food. Period. A must when visiting Udaipur. I have tried Non-veg Indian cuisine only. But given the rich spectrum of taste provided in Indian, Italian dishes will also be nice. They looked good in other tables.

We were searching for a good place to eat. While looking on9 i came to know about this place and visited just by looking at the reviews. The place was packed with a lot of people but there was a lot sitting space. We ordered their veg pizza and veg biryani. Everything was so good. I must say the pizza was as authentic as it can get. The staff was quick and responsive and the owner was also very friendly. Overall a must visit place in Udaipur.

Do not miss out on this place if you want to try the best pizzas in town, we had Rodolfo and it was heavenly good. For dessert, their star dish was avocado panna cotta, and on recommendation, we went ahead with tiramisu as well. Highly recommend!

This place is heaven of authenticity. Oh my god! The Jangli Maas was so succulent, juicy, tender, it just fell from the bone. You will touch it and it will melt. Deshi ghee flavour was evident. The starter with shredded chicken was amazing. Prawn tempura was not so good but it was not so bad. Maybe the rest of the menu overpowered its simplicity. The rich royal flavour with its simplicity will take back to the Raja Maharaja time. This place is justification for its legacy. Staffs are good and helpful. There are ample sitting options. Washrooms are tidy and clean and even have a shower zone. Very comforting,rich, flavourful food has been served. I will go there again and again.

Recently I happen to visit this place as i wanted to try something new in Udaipur & it was really amazing. The food was top notch. Although it is famous for its Neapolitan pizza but i decided to try something else & it turned out to be delicious as well. The food & drinks are on the expensive side. The ambiance is simple but royal & classy. The staff was very friendly & knowledgeable. You can try non veg. dishes too & you will love it. Kebabs were the best i have ever had, so tender & flavourful. Can’t wait to try their famous pizza, the next time. 👍🏻
