Nearby Pond is also very well maintained. Entry allowed in dhoti and shirt less. in case if you don’t have or forgot dhoti, you can get one near the temple.

Om namah shivaya 🙏. One of the ancient temples in Kozhikode/Kerala. Located at prime location in the city. Located at near to Railway Station and Palayam Bus Stand. Main deity of this temple is Lord Shiva. Temple architecture is amazing. You can reach this temple by Auto from Railway Station and Bus Stand.

Tali temple is one of the oldest temples in Kozhikode. The temple was built by Swamy Thirumulapad. The founding and prosperity of Kozhikode city is closely linked with the sanctity of this ancient temple. It is believed that the lingam in the sanctum of the Temple was installed towards the end of Dvapara Yuga by Sri. Parasurama. The posture in the sanctum is that of Umamaheswara. Though this divine power existed from time immemorial, the attention of the citizens of Kozhikode was (bestowed on the temple) only by about 1500 years ago. Later on the temple reached its zenith during the rule of the Zamorin of Calicut,(also known as Samoothiri)who had the prestigious title Sailabdheswara. The temple to its present state was built in the 14th century. It is within walking distance from the railway station

One of the most important lord Siva temple in Calicut. Located very close to the centre of city too. The feel inside temple is too good. There's another big SREE Krishna temple inside this. Parking either has to be done in road side or in nearby school ground if possible.

We came to Calicut to visit our cousin. Tali temple is famous for most oldest temple in Calicut. The temple is near my cousin home in chalapuram. The temple has strict rule over the dress code. Men should wear dhoti. pants and jeans are strictly prohibited. Non Hindus are not allowed is written there. The temple premises are well maintained and murals on the walls show our artists calibre in the olden times. The ambience of silence inside the temple just provides a stronger bond and feeling with the lord. Highly recommended

The Tali Mahakshetra Temple in Calicut has an ancient history, dating back over 14th century. The main deity, Lord Shiva, is worshipped with great devotion, and the temple is also home to shrines dedicated to Parvati, Ganapathi, and Sastha. It's a historic and spiritually significant site. The main things to focus is only hindu devotees are allowed. Men should wear dhoti and remove their shirt before entering the temple if not worn then it can be taken as rent also near the counter and women should be in ethnic dress otherwise they won't be allowed inside. Parking facilities are very less as we went during some function in the temple. The Tali Mahakshetra Temple is not just a place of worship; it is a living monument to Kerala's rich cultural heritage and a must-visit destination for anyone interested in exploring the region's history and spirituality."

A very old temple of Kozhikode where the idol is said to have been installed by Parashuram. The dress code for men is dhoti without shirt and the mundu available for less than Rs 200 if not carried. As for females, modern dresses and jeans are not advisable. As it was onam season, the streets were piled with colorful flowers meant for pookalam... Feast for the eyes...

Thusharagiri Waterfalls

Mentioned on
Waterfall
Nature & Parks
Thusharagiri Waterfalls is located approximately 8 km away from Adivaram and can be reached via two main routes. Travelers coming from Kozhikode can take a right turn at Adivaram and climb a steep path towards the waterfall, although the road is not very wide. Alternatively, they can opt for a wider road by climbing up the ghat section and taking a left just before the second hairpin to reach Thusharagiri.
It was a great experience. Highly recommended for trekking lovers. It's actually a set of 3 waterfalls. The first one is near to the entrance. To reach the second waterfall, you've to climb around 1km, and if you trek for another half km, you'll reach at the topmost waterfall which is the best one out of the three.

Awesome place to visit especially during light rain time. Waterfalls is a breath taking sight to see. Forest authorities have maintained the area neat & clean. Safety precautions are implemented for the visitors. Really a mind blowing experience at the place. Nice time to spend time. Lush green mountains all around. My request to people going there is that Please donot litter the place.

Tuaharagiri situated around 8 km from Adivaram and we have main 2 routes to reach there. People coming from Kozhikode can take a right from adivaram and there is steep climb towards thusharagiri and road is not wide. If you want to use wide road, climb ghat section and just before 2nd hair pin you can see wide road to thusharagiri. Good parking space available. Take lot of water with you while climbing for 2nd and 3rd waterfalls. First waterfalls is beautiful and everyone can enter in to water. 2nd and 3rd waterfall only healthy people should try out as there are steep climb and will be difficult otherwise. Don't miss the ice cream at base once you come back from trecking from 2nd and third waterfalls.

As you make your way towards the waterfalls, the journey itself becomes part of the excitement. The lush green landscapes, the winding trails, and the calming sounds of nature create a peaceful ambiance that sets the mood for what lies ahead.

Thusharagiri Waterfalls is a lovely natural place. It costs 40 rupees for Indian adults to enter. When I visited in October, only one of the waterfalls was open, but it was quite peaceful. The sound of the water and all the greenery around make it a calm spot. I went there on a holiday, and it was really nice. If you enjoy nature, you should definitely check it out!

If you like trucking, bathing from waterfalls, and experiencing forests, this is the best place to visit with family and children. There are 3 waterfalls, The first one is around 100 metres away from the parking area. Second one and third 500 metres and 1 km away from the parking area. Entry fee for Adult RS 40 children Rs 20 Foreigners Rs 60 Parking fee for car RS 40. This is a safer place than other waterfalls. November December January and February is the best time to visit. Nearby locations there are small hotels where you will get delicious non veg foods.

It's beautiful. Thusharagiri waterfall has 3 waterfall. 1st is just on entrance and to see next two you have to tarek little 2nd is on 500 meter which is sloppy and stairy way. And for 3rd you have to trek mountains which is tougher than 2nd. Otherwise it is adventurous if you want. But it's good to visit waterfall in the forest.

This is one of my favorite places.I remember coming here two years ago. These are 3 beautiful waterfalls surrounded by dense forest. The height is 3rd and old people & those with health problems can't go there, 2nd and 3rd route is very dangerous and difficult, there is no access to two or three waterfalls after 3pm. You can enjoy swimming under it and sitting under the waterfall. Great fun!Government approved waterfall and swimming area with adequate safety systems and good place for family and friends Ticket price Adults-40 Child – 20 (up to 14 years) Foreigners-60 Students -20 (with letter pad from college)

Better place to visit on monsoon. They closed few ways near the waterfall (told because of heavy rain) and charging the same amount of money as early. Doesn’t seem fair.when we visited it’s too much hot and doesn’t rained previous two days.

Thusharagiri amazed me with its beauty. It's the perfect place for family outings, especially with kids who enjoy trekking, waterfall bathing, and exploring the forest. Additionally, there's a zip line along Thusharagiri Bridge. Thusharagiri Waterfalls consist of three falls in the same stream. The first is around 100 meters from the parking, the second is 500 meters, and the third is 1 kilometer away. The best time to visit is from September to January. While trekking, carry water, and there's filtered water available at the base ticket counter. During the rainy season, access to the second and third falls may be restricted due to slippery paths, leeches, and increased waterfall flow. Entrance fees: Adults - ₹40, Children - ₹20, Foreigners - ₹60. Parking fees: Car - ₹40, Bike - ₹10. I had known about Thusharagiri since childhood but couldn't visit until one fine day during Christmas holidays(27 dec 2023). I reached there at 10:20 AM after a scenic 5 km journey from Adivaram. The first waterfall called Eerattumukk, is around 100m from the parking, attracting many visitors. If trekking to the remaining waterfalls is challenging, taking a bath and enjoying the first one is a great option. Nearby, there's a 400-year-old beda nut tree called "Thanni Muthassi." The trek from the first to the second waterfall called Mazhavil falls, took me about 15 minutes(as i was treking fast). It's a steep 500m climb, but the breathtaking view makes it worth the effort. After a tiring trek, washing in the cold stream water is refreshing. I took a short rest, washing my face and dipping my legs in the cold stream water. The next 500m trek leads to the third waterfall, Thumbithillum Para, the most beautiful one. It took only 15 minutes for me to reach there. There's enough water to take a bath in the cool, fresh water, and the stream water is pure enough to drink if comfortable. Afterwards, you can trek back the same way. I hope my review has given you a good understanding of this place. If so, please show your appreciation by giving it a like. A good serene place and very crowded most of the times, they have closed 2 waterfalls due to rains and some reviews say that they are closed most of the times. It is scenic but don’t expect to take a good picture as it is very crowded…..it has entrance fees of Rs.40/- pee adult… overall good

Good place to visit. The route from Wayanad is scenic and a lot of steeps and downs are there. Drive slowly as people specially bus drivers drive very rash in this route. People will be overtaking in mountain hairpin bend also. From Vythiri Wayanad it's around 20kms. Good place to spend some time with family. But the walking path is too steep for very elderly persons to visit. We went on 25th Dec 2023, and overall we enjoyed here

Paragon Restaurant in Kozhikode is renowned for its exceptional dining experience, excelling in food taste, service quality, and overall ambiance. It has been acclaimed as India's best restaurant for coastal cuisine and consistently ranks among the top dining spots in Dubai. The restaurant's spacious parking adds to its appeal. Situated near Kannur Road, it is a popular choice among travelers visiting Kozhikode.
We had a good experience in the restaurant. It was excellent in terms of quality, taste as well as service from the staffs. Got to say delicious food is the highlight of this place. The chicken biryani served is my absolute favourite one, especially the pickle served along with it is beyond description. The restaurant was crowded when we visited on Sunday night. But they have ample parking space available. Overall it was a pretty great dine-in experience.

Had to wait in queue for almost 45 mins before we finally got the chance to get a table. The waiting area is hot and overcrowded and there is no crowd management. When you finally get in though, it is like going from purgatory to heaven. Inside the AC seating area it is cool and not at all crowded. You can order at your own pace and eat peacefully. The food is amazing and tasty. Almost worth the wait.

My first visit to Kozhikode as well as Paragon Restaurant. Truly enjoyed the experience, the food was yummy 😋 at reasonable price. The place is too famous and too crowded, makes you wait sometime for a table, but it’s worth a wait. Try Kerala authentic cuisine which are special and tastier. Not from this part of India 🇮🇳 so the experience was completely new too me and enjoyed the food as well.

Mango Fish Curry was good but it looked like the fish in it was separately cooked. Combination with Appam was nice. Pompfret Taawa Fry was mild in spice levels but it was good. We missed the biriyani as we were late. Lemon Soda was just fresh and good. The coconut pudding was too good here.

Paragon restaurant in Kozhikode is renowned for its delicious Malabar cuisine, especially its seafood dishes. The restaurant is known for its lively atmosphere and excellent service. Diners often praise the freshness of the ingredients used in their dishes and the authenticity of flavors. Some popular dishes include biryani, seafood curries, and traditional Kerala delicacies like appam and stew. However, like any establishment, experiences can vary. Some reviewers have mentioned occasional delays in service during peak hours or crowded periods. Additionally, depending on personal preferences, some may find the prices slightly higher compared to other local eateries, but many consider it worth it for the quality of food and overall dining experience. Overall, Paragon restaurant tends to receive positive reviews for its tasty food, welcoming ambiance, and attentive service, making it a popular choice for both locals and tourists looking to experience authentic Malabar cuisine in Kozhikode.

It's recommended by the lodge owner where we stayed (Eshwari lodge). It's good but have to wait in the queue a lot. Good ambience, food quality and taste is good but the service is too bad. Bring a vegetarian I was initially skeptical about eating here. But was pleasantly surprised with a decent variety of options in veg food. All the traditional Kerala dishes were awesome. Baked Desserts are not that good tho. Place is a bit small n dingy & service was slow but v. good. The complimentary salad with mango, carrot n chilli was just too good. Dancing tea is another different item tho the taste is like the normal tea only! That’s Another reason why place is always crowded apart from being a popular choice for many

I recently dined at Paragon Restaurant in Calicut and sadly, the experience fell short of expectations. The Chicken Biriyani and mutton Biriyani were not up to par; the chicken pieces lacked flavor, and the mutton Biriyani consisted mostly of bones with minimal meat. On top of this, the long wait of 30 minutes to get in made it a frustrating and time-consuming visit. I would rate my overall experience 3 out of 10, considering my experiences in other Kerala restaurants. I would not recommend Paragon Calicut, especially for families visiting from foreign countries to explore food in Kerala. Attached are pictures highlighting the disappointing quality.

Paragon Restaurant: Delicious Food, Expect a Wait! Paragon Restaurant is a must-try for anyone in Kozhikode looking for an amazing and affordable meal. The food is absolutely delicious - I had the prawn tava fry, mussels fry, and mutton biryani, and all three dishes were incredible. Each bite was finger-licking good! The staff at Paragon is friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere. It almost feels like you're eating at home. Be prepared for a wait though! This place is popular, and there's a good chance you'll need to wait in line for at least 20 minutes. But trust me, the food is worth the wait!

Food is absolute yum... fell in love with Kerala cuisine after trying out food from here. But the AC seating has very limited capacity and with the temperature on the rise, AC seating would be a good respite. Wait time is high given the food quality and taste. Place is affordable and they charge around Rs.20 extra for the AC seating per dish basis. Dancing tea and fish mango curry were the showstopper for me

Calicut Paragon is a renowned culinary gem in Calicut, known for its delectable dishes that showcase the authentic flavors of Kerala cuisine. During my visit, I had the pleasure of trying a variety of dishes that left me thoroughly impressed. The porotta at Calicut Paragon was perfectly prepared, with layers that were fluffy yet crispy. It served as an excellent accompaniment to the main dishes. I also tried the paalapam, a traditional Kerala pancake, which was soft, fluffy, and simply delicious. The highlight of my meal was the fish mango curry, a signature dish at Calicut Paragon. The curry was a perfect blend of tangy and spicy flavors, and it paired beautifully with both the porotta and the appam. I also indulged in the mutton vazhatiyath, a flavorful mutton dish that was cooked to perfection. Apart from the exceptional food, the service at Calicut Paragon was outstanding. The staff was attentive, friendly, and ensured that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect. In conclusion, Calicut Paragon is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the authentic flavors of Kerala. With its delicious food, excellent service, and inviting ambiance, it is sure to leave a lasting impression.

Dining at Paragon is an experience in itself. We went here twice in two days while in Calicut. Both days, we had to wait for around an hour before getting a table, and it was worth the wait ! There isn't anything at all one won't like here - the chicken biryani is smoking delicious with the famous dates pickle, the mango prawn and fish curry are the best I have ever had, and go so well with appam or Kerala parotta, their coconut pudding rounds up the meal with an amazing dessert option as well. The crab masala and other fish dishes are so so well prepared - truly deserves to be one of the most iconic restaurants in the world We would definitely plan more Calicut trips just for the Paragon experience !

It was quite underwhelming considering the reviews and lores I heard about this place. Ordered a Lagoon Chicken biriyani and Fish mangoo curry. The chicken biriyani was such an underperformer with its taste and texture. Fish mango curry was decent and rich in flavours. I entered there at 12.15 PM , and it wasn't very crowded at that time. Would love to try beef and mutton dishes some other time.

Waiting Time - We did not wait much, it was less than 5 minutes wait time for us.... Seating - They have arranged good seating for all of us.... Ambience- Good, Quiet, Subdued dark. You concentrate only on your food and people and you don't see other things...Mosquitoes were the only issue as they keep on biting you now and then...Toilet was below average... Food - Tasty piping hot Mutton biriyani, chicken biriyani was served. Masala and flavour used in basmati biriyani was adding uniqueness to the dish. Pieces were tender, succulent and well cooked. Onion Raitha was without onions. Mint cooler was good. Vermicelli payasam, we asked was top notch... Overall, a good dine in experience....

I need not tell this but they are one of the top restaurants in the world. Frankly I didn't know that. I just happened to eat at this restaurant without any reference from anyone. In short, their food is one of the best I have ever tasted. The seafood platter had crabs, fishes, prawns, squids each one prepared in a unique flavour and taste. Tender coconut pudding was awesome and yummy. Though it is just a restaurant, they have maintained their standards as that of a star hotel. Anyone visiting Calicut must try this restaurant. Happy eating 😋😋😋.

One of the best place for trying sea food. Mussels come as 14 pieces dish and the taste is too good. It is not overpowering like it usually does. The fish could be selected directly from the counter as per wish and the sauce that comes along with it is very flavourful. The steak was filling and had good taste. Cons : pretty long wait time

A good option for continental food. Tried Crab Meat soup and Diana Beef Steak. Both delicious, especially soup which comes with sufficient quantity of crab meat. Service is good enough. Pricing also reasonable according to the quality of food. But the place is not maintained well, not only the restaurant area, the entire Focus mall lacks proper maintenance.

I had lunch at the place recently. The green chili chicken curry in coconut base was delicious, but the Turkish pizza was disappointing. The Chicken Al fam was just okay. Overall, the restaurant needs to work on improving both the quality and quantity of their dishes.

Great place for fine dining. Very good ambience and polite service. Food was good. Loved the Kanthari Fish (must try), Pandan chicken and Prawns tempura sushi !!! Appam and their iconic fish mango curry is a must try!! Decent salads, soups and pastas. Fried seafood platter and pad thai noodles were ok. Overall a great place!!! Need to wait for tables esp on weekends.

We tried the regular Kerala meals and was bowled over by the taste. The anchovies fry was so crispy and delicate that we felt like eating chips. We always use to have that wonderful feeling whenever we visited M Grill. May be their special onion soup or any other items from the menu. Excellent service, helpful staff and well maintained cleanliness takes us to this place whenever we are around this part of the town.

Various cuisines are available for a family dinner to have peacefully. AC and non Ac dining is available. The staff are very professional and up to the standards. A good place to try varieties of dishes other than the regular one commonly available in most of the restaurants in Calicut .

recently visited M Grill restaurant in Kozhikode, Kerala, and I was blown away by the food. The restaurant offers a wide variety of multi-cuisine dishes from around the world, and everything I tried was delicious. We arrived at the restaurant at 8:00 pm on a Saturday night, and there was already a long line of people waiting to be seated. We waited for about an hour before we were finally able to get a table. Once we were seated, our waiter took our order and brought us our drinks. The food took about 30 minutes to arrive, and it was delicious. Here are some specific things I liked about M Grill: The food: The food was absolutely delicious. I tried a variety of dishes, and everything I had was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere: The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. We felt comfortable and at home during our meal. Here are some specific things I didn't like about M Grill: The service: The service was slow. We waited for an hour to get a table, and our food took 30 minutes to arrive. The crowd: The restaurant was overcrowded. It was difficult to get around, and we had to wait for a long time to get our food.

The food as expected from Paragon is absolutely delicious! No compromise on quality on any of the dishes. With a plethora of cuisines. Ranging from local dishes to continental. Each and every one of those has that authentic taste as well. The only downside of this restaurant is the waiting time. If you're willing to ignore that, then it's a must try in Calicut.

The ambience is amazing. The quality of the food provided is also great. Only the quantity is low but the rate is high. But as in case of ambience and atmosphere it's good. Luch time is much crowded here. Sometimes need to reserve seats for family, otherwise long waiting time is there.

Great dining experience! While it leans towards the higher end in terms of pricing, the quality of their cuisine more than justifies it. Our order included a variety of dishes like sweet corn soup, sushi, Pad Thai, stir-fried noodles, dynamite chicken, Mongolian beef, and dumplings. Some dishes were good, while others were great. Not a single item left us disappointed, and the overall presentation of the meal was commendable. The menu offered a wide range of options, ensuring there's something for everyone. I wholeheartedly recommend dining here.

M Grill is a premium version of paragon restaurant, located inside focus mall. It’s usually very crowded and has a waiting time of minimum 5 minutes.they are planning to expand the restaurant. I would recommend to try their continental cuisine instead of Kerala because it’s available only in m grill and the rest can be tried from paragon. The Thai fried fish and French onion chicken soup was really good, there’s a sushi bar also. Ambience inside the ac section is good but the lights are not bright so it can give a negative effect. There’s a non ac seating also available. Service was really good and food never disappoints as it’s paragon. Definitely a must visit place 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

A very popular restaurant in Calicut and no wonder as it's a part of the Paragon chain with the same high standards. We were a group of four and while everyone picked a dish I went for four 'starters'. The dragon chicken was the best but Pandang chicken and Kandhari paneer were great as well. Lamb koftas were very, very good and we finally took a chicken biriyani home and that was very good too. Sadly the elaneer payasam was over so we had something called Chatta Mary pudding which was okay. Would be great if you could have a cold beer with your meal but that's not on the cards. I've been there on two visits to Calicut and would surely eat there again. Oh...the service is excellent as well. Very attentive and helpful. And the menu is like a monthly magazine with Kerala cuisine, Continental, Chinese, North Indian, Arabic, sushi...there's something for every palate and our order covered four of those all of which were very good at the least and delicious at best.

M Grill's mixed grill platter, coupled with a selection of dips and salads, made for a delightful dining experience. The medley of meats on the mixed grill platter was perfectly cooked, each bite offering a succulent burst of flavors. The assortment of dips and salads added a refreshing and vibrant touch to the meal, creating a well-balanced ensemble. The variety in textures and tastes showcased the culinary expertise of the chef. The attentive service and inviting ambiance further elevated the overall enjoyment. M Grill's combination of mixed grill and vibrant sides is a culinary journey worth savoring.

One of my business partners recommended this place for lunch I visit and truly I am satisfied with the food and staff along with the quick service The food tastes good but the only 2 types of fish curry taste I don't like smell out food different taste. Also the Prons taste is not good. Best sellers and mouth watering taste is one and only tawa king fish (surmai fish) once eaten it melts in the mouth you can feel lemon and spices taste I never ever tasted that kind of fish in my Life..

Seafood restaurant
Kingsbay is a seafood restaurant housed in a grand colonial Portuguese building. The menu features international dishes, with highlights such as shrimp soup, shrimp tawa fry, and crab specialties. Guests praise the delicious food and recommend trying dishes like Crab Ghee Roast and squid Masala fry. The ambiance is described as great, although some mention that the service could be improved.
The ambience, the food everything was just great.. We had their Crab Ghee Roast which was just the tastiest crab I had in a long time. Also their squid Masala fry was spicy and yum.. The Karimeen polichathu reminded me of the allepey houseboat menu😋

I tried shrimp soup, shrimp tawa fry and filled crab (see photo) . It was very good. I would recommend this restaurant. On the downside, the service of waiter was a bit weird . They should be trained to know the concept of personal space. Otherwise the experience is good.

After having lived in Calicut all these years, I have never visited @kingsbay_restaurant so when it came to making that all important decision on where to go for lunch, @sareekaasok and I finally decided on Kingsbay. We were quite famished so we decided to order some appetizers before we jumped into the main course. We ordered the "Honey Glazed Prawns" (Rs. 290) and “Crumb Fried Fish” (Rs. 250). The honey overpowered the flavour of the shrimp but the bits of crunchy noodles made it interesting. The Crumb Fried Fish tasted good though a bit over fried. The tartar sauce was avoidable though. For the main course, I ordered the "Spicy Crusted Grilled Fish" (Rs. 390) that was quite bland. Though peppery, there was no real taste of the mustard that was supposedly used to marinate the fish. Also, the lack of salt was pretty evident. @sareekaasok ordered the "Kingsbay Grilled Fish in Tomato Burblance Sauce" (No idea what that is - Rs. 390) and it was disappointing. There was atleast a bit of salt and subtle hints of spices, but other than that it was not worth it. The only thing that had salt was the mashed potatoes.

One great thing about this place is it's ambience - kind of a serene experience. Seafood dishes are the best to try. Fish meals is good so was Pomfret fry. Tried fish biriyani and chicken biriyani also - both were okay and would have been better if they served it hot. Parking is available in front (roadside) and the restaurant is on a good spot. Seating and lighting is good. Service need a bit more improvement. Good place to dine in for family and the prices are average to above average range.

Rahmath Hotel, a modest Keralan establishment established in 1961, has gained popularity for its delectable biryani and refreshing milk sarbath. While it may appear to be just another railway hotel frequented by locals for budget-friendly meals, a closer look reveals its status as a beloved biryani destination in Kozhikode.
Visited the place for breakfast. The hype about the place is real. Amazing food. Has got some wide variety of snack options. That too tasty ones. Mutton stew was delicious with tender pieces. To add to that the porotta was crisp and hot. A must try place. Very near to the railway station.
Rameez Omer — Google review
Rahmath has earned its reputation for excellence in biryani preparation. We ordered beef biryani, chicken roast biryani, and prawns fry, accompanied by beverages. The Beef Biryani emerged as the unequivocal star of the show, with tender and succulent meat, expertly balanced spices, and perfectly cooked rice. In contrast, the Chicken Roast Biryani only achieved mediocrity, boasting pieces that lacked distinction and a paucity of flavor-rich masala, leaving a somewhat ponderous sensation after consumption. The Prawns Fry, albeit deep-fried, managed to hold its own due to the impeccable freshness of the prawns, which added a commendable dimension to its taste profile. The Mint Lime, served as a palate-cleansing counterpart, impeccably complemented the biryani with its revitalizing zest. What truly distinguished this dining experience was the Watermelon Juice, prepared without dilution, thus delivering an exceptional taste sensation that was nothing short of remarkable. Service was exemplary, characterized by both promptness and courtesy. It's worth noting that cash is the preferred mode of payment. In summary, our visit left us with an overall positive impression, primarily attributed to the outstanding Beef Biryani and the delightful Watermelon Juice, though other dishes left room for improvement.

Rahmath Hotel in Calicut is renowned for its beef biryani, and it certainly lives up to the hype. The beef biryani here is a delightful treat, with super soft beef that practically melts in your mouth. However, while it's undoubtedly delicious, it may not be the absolute best beef biryani you'll find in Calicut. Apart from the biryanis, the service at Rahmath Hotel is commendable. The staff is friendly, attentive, and ensures a pleasant dining experience. During my visit, I also sampled their chicken biryani, which was quite enjoyable, though not as standout as the beef variant. The ambiance at Rahmath Hotel is modest, yet comfortable, adding to the overall dining experience. It's a place where you can relax and savor your meal without any fuss. In conclusion, Rahmath Hotel is a great spot to indulge in some flavorful biryanis, especially the beef biryani. While it may not be the absolute best in Calicut, it's certainly worth a visit for its delicious offerings and excellent service.

One of the better places in Kozhikode to have biriyani. They are quite famous and most of the times, there is a queue outside before you can enter the premises. It can be quite intense inside and the layout is designed to accommodate maximum people. The staff are friendly, fast and efficient. The food has great flavour and makes you want to go back for more.

Over rated...mutton biriyani was good, chicken and beef ordinary... compared with other biriyani specialists around Calicut. Tried Kallummakkai onion rost, too spicy not able to feel real taste of Kallummakkai. Mint lemon compensate the hotness.

This family restaurant near Calicut railway station is famous for thir beef Biriyani. (Unfortunately my experience turned out bad as the meat was not well cooked) I had the below and would rate them as Alfarm biryani - 5/5 Beef Biriyani - 2/5 Grilled fish - 3/5 Prawns fry - 4/5 Icecream (tender coconut)— 5/5 ( as they are natural with no additional preservatives or chemicals.

First time got the opportunity to explore the legendary Biriyani from Rahmath hotel, Calicut . I must say it was awesome , totally a very different flavour unlike our Kannur and Thalassery biriyanis . I like the flavour . There are many variety of dishes available . We tried spring chicken fry and it was so yummy 😋😋. We went on Friday and they will start by 1.00pm on Friday . There was huge rush and parking area was around 500m far from the hotel . Overall good experience and enjoyed the food 👍👌🏼

Visited again and amazed to see the thoughtful ways of customer support. They have enabled a parking area in walkable distance -and we were about to walk to the restaurant, they told to wait for auto which they have.. Parking is free- they will collect deposit and return if we get the seal from the payment counter.

I visited Rahmat Hotel after hearing a lot about this hotel. Beef Biryani and Kaada fry are the most famous items here. But for me, I don't eat Beef Nd Kaada fry was not ready at 12 Noon. Me and my wife tried Chicken Biryani & Squid Biryani. I really appreciate the taste. Since it's a very old hotel so in terms of service they are good and very prompt as they have a lot of guys to deal with any crowd. Also, this restaurant is spread over 3 floors. Visit here and have their famous Beef Biryani & Kaada fry. Environment wise it's good but ambience wise I don't suggest this place.

The famous spot in Kozhikode for biryanis is also a great breakfast spot. The tea is a must have item after your food. Its simply superb. We tried Porotta and Beef Masala. Porotta was too good, crispy and flaky just like it should be. The Beef Masala was very good and tasted homely. Its normally quite busy for lunch but do visit them for their breakfast as well.

Just another overhyped restaurant in Calicut. I had been hearing such positive reviews about Rahmath Beef Biryani, so I decided to try it out. Yesterday, I finally got the chance to dine there. However, my experience was not as great as I expected. The restaurant was crowded, like many others in Calicut, but we managed to find a seat without much waiting. We tried the beef, chicken, and mutton biryanis. The beef biryani I ordered was average; it came with two beef pieces, one of which was very tough while the other was okay. The flavor and spices in the biryani were just average, lacking the rich taste I had hoped for. Overall, the restaurant did not live up to the hype created by the people of Calicut or food vloggers. Parking space is available, albeit a bit far from the restaurant. You need to deposit Rs. 100, which is refundable upon showing the bill. The rates are affordable, the ambience is average, and the service is good.

Visited the legendary Rahmath hotel and it took me sometime to get a table for myself, busy as usual from what I heard and seen. I ordered a half portion of squid biriyani, which was the cheapest seafood biryani on the menu. The pickled onion salad that we get from here is something different than the usual buttermilk salad I am used to. Even the half portion was enough to fill my stomach and they gave a generous helping of the squid, I think I got more squid than the rice. Since this is my first experience with a seafood biryani, I think it will be hard to top this one.

Simple Biriyani which helps you savour the taste of the main ingredients (the well cooked beef and the spices) and not the unwanted masala. The red snapper tawa fry was more than sufficient for 3 people. Good vegetarian selection too. Remember to end your meal with the lemon mint cooler.

I've been a fan of Favour Hotel since my childhood. It's a highly recommended spot for biriyani lovers, especially their beef biriyani, which is a must-try item with an irresistible taste. Whenever I visit Calicut, I make it a point to come here. This time, we tried some additional special items: Mutton whole head roast (5/5), Kada fry (5/5), Mutton Biriyani (3/5), and Chicken biriyani (4/5). All of them were superb . Their hospitality and staff attitude are as excellent as their food. This restaurant sets a sweet example for others by consistently maintaining food quality and improving service each time. I also appreciate their initiative of dropping off staff from the hotel to the parking slot and vice versa. They continue to exceed expectations. Keep up the great work

Bombay Hotel in Calicut has been a local favorite for 15 years, offering a mix of Indian fast food and Chinese dishes in a casual setting. While the decor may not be extravagant, the real draw here is the delicious food. Known for their flavorful biryani, including options like Mutton biriyani and Mutton curry, this restaurant also serves up tasty breakfast items, evening snacks, and cardamom tea.
Loved every dish ordered from here. Came here for breakfast. Orders Mutton kuruma along with Porotta and Noolappam. Those were amazing. So rich in flavours and mouthwatering. Then tried two snacks namely Chatti pathiri (ചട്ടി പത്തിരി) and Pazham Nirachath ( പഴം നിറച്ചത്). Both were super tasty. Satisfied with the customer service also. But there's maybe room for better Ambience and settings.

One of the very famous and popular restaurants in Calicut, it's a good spot for food lovers whether it's break fast, lunch, evening tea or dinner. Though Bombay is famous for Biriyani and many other dishes, I often go there for having evening tea and snacks. Their special tea is one of the best teas I have had from Calicut. They have wide varieties of tasty snacks and I have tried almost all their snacks at different times and their signature snack Elayada, Chemmeen Cake, Beef Egg Kabab and Pazham Nirachath, etc. are my favourites. This is a very crowded hotel near Calicut beach specially in the weekends and you'll have to park your vehicle finding a space anywhere near to this hotel.

Awesome food except for the biriyani which could have been better. I am rating it 1 star lower due to biriyani and willingness to serve snacks cold ( which are supposed to be hot . They do have a rack that can be heated to keep them warm ) . BDF was very good but quantity was a bit low. Chicken 65 was good I would have loved a bit more spice in it for sure . Tea was very good . Mutton cutlet and chatti pathiri were both very good but would have been better if they were at least kept warm. Mutton biriyani was very bland and the over usage of tomato in the rice reminds me of ambur style biriyani. But here the rice was mildly spiced and it doesn't go well with the tomatoes . And it was served cold 🙄. Service is very efficient. Plenty of space to accommodate a large number of guests. Both AC and non AC service halls are there . There is a free parking space near the restaurant for 4 wheelers. Overall a must visit restaurant

During my recent visit to the Bombay Hotel, I decided to explore their culinary offerings. I indulged in a couple of snacks and savored a refreshing juice. The one item that truly stood out among all was their Mutton Cutlet. It wasn't just good; it was extraordinary, leaving an indelible mark on my taste buds. The bustling crowd within the establishment was a testament to the deliciousness of their offerings. It was evident that the place had garnered a loyal following due to the consistently tasty food they served. I had also heard about their reputation for exceptional Mutton Biryani and Prawns Biryani. These dishes are now firmly on my radar for my next visit. The anticipation of trying them out is already making me look forward to my return. Despite the tantalizing food, finding the place proved to be a bit of a challenge due to heavy traffic in the area. Nevertheless, the taste experience at Bombay Hotel more than compensated for the minor inconvenience. In conclusion, my visit to the Bombay Hotel was a gastronomic adventure that left me craving for more. I can't wait to explore their diverse menu further and discover new culinary delights.

I have heard about this restaurant way back . Its an old restaurant. I went there to have their biriyani . We had chicken and beef biriyani . Actually i was not much satisfied with the beef biriyani . The beef was not well cooked . Chicken biriyani was ok . The rice had good flavours overall and ok biriyani. For the biriyani we had sides as chammanthi, salaad and dates pickle which nice but the chammanthi was little bit too salty . One of us also had chappathi and veg kuruma which was actually good 👍🏾. The waiter and the staffs where good 👌🏾. They have a variety of snacks options which I will try next time🙌🏾. Overall I was not satisfied with the hype I had in my mind .
