The Royal Pavilion is an iconic building in Brighton and is famous for its chinoiserie architecture. It is a must-see attraction for tourists visiting Brighton, and provides a glimpse into the lives of royalty in the 18th and 19th centuries.
Great to explore if you're into history or architecture. Walking tour was great n staff r on hand in most rooms. Worth to see how King George VI and after that Queen Victoria lived there. U can get an audio guide tour for more detailed information of each room. A unique experience, this Royal Palace is on it's own. U really have to visit to take it in.The settings in the rooms are very well done, the restoration of the Saloon is magnificent. The atmosphere with chandeliers just amazing. A must for visitors and Brighton and Hove residents.

One of the most unique and gorgeous palaces I’ve visited. I’ve been to dozens of palaces around the globe, but I was still pleasantly surprised by the interior and exterior design of the building. The artistic style choice of combining Chinese and Indian concepts was equally refreshing and astonishing. Loved the fusion of different cultures as well as the rich history behind it. The free audio guide certainly helped me understand more about the place and Brighton as a city. Loved every aspect of the Royal Pavilion and I cannot recommended it enough to do it justice. I normally don’t comment or post reviews on Google maps, but the experience has impressed me so much that I urge you pay the site a visit whenever you’re in Brighton. Cheers!

My friend recommended that I visit the pavilion as I was in the area for the weekend. I was not disappointed, it was so worth the visit. The attendants were so informative and were obviously so proud of the building and it's history. What stood out for me, was the chandeliers - utterly magnificent. Once you buy the entrance ticket, you can go back for free throughout the year. The decor is very Chinese and Indian orientated - absolutely beautiful.
Maureen Gingell — Google review
I definitely recommend to anyone interested in history. It's a beautifully reconstructed place that will show you how the world used to look, how the nobility lived. There are plenty of magnificent paintings, a perfect interior, and a beautiful atmosphere, for example, in the music hall.
Zuzana P?ibylov? — Google review
This is my favorite place in whole trip. Staffs are so helpful. And I like the introduction audio . It help me a lot to know more history stories . No need to rent the audio machine . You can use your phone to scan QR. but if you are willing to donate 2 ponds to support them is also not a bad thing . I strongly suggest to pay ticket to get in. If you have train ticket , they give you special ticket rate buy 1 and get 1 free. And it’s a one year pass. Even as a foreigner I might only visit this time, but I still think it’s a good money to spend .

Really one of the best palaces with period furniture I've ever seen. Definitely the best sight to see in Brighton. I bought tickets online in advance so we walked right in. Self guided tour, we spent about 1 hour wandering through. It's just the right size to not get bored. At Christmas it's nicely decorated with some fun humor. Gift shop at the end. Definitely recommend visiting.
Paul Heller — Google review
The staff were so very helpful. Disability friendly . Stunning place grand decadent. Full of history and the way the kitchen display was played out as it was true to the time. Affordable prices are somewhere I would recommend to family and friends and the world of Google maps. Even with the outside being restored, it doesn't interrupt this beautiful part of Brighton history. Many thanks to staff for making it a great visit

Very beautiful building in Brighton. The inside is very amazing definitely go in if you have the time. There is so much to look at in a lot of rooms. The decorations are really insane in a good way. You can download the app and use that as a audio guide recommend using a headset makes it easier to listen
Ron Groot — Google review
The Royal Pavilion is beautiful both outside and inside. Every room you go through has vibrant colours, all kinds of beautiful decorations and lots of history behind. There is a QR code you can scan so you can have an online guide on your phone while you walk through the Pavilion. Very good idea and helpful. The staff are also there ready to answer any questions and are very helpful! Amazing experience

Amazing place to visit! Unusual architecture and furniture! If you have a toddler or baby, plan your visit during NAP time. It’s quiet place and most of rooms are available with stroller. So your little one will not be bored and you will spend a great time here, learning some history 😉
Tatyana Koniaeva — Google review
Well worth a visit. Very impressive building both outside and inside. Good audio guide provided. £20 per adult. No major queue when I was there, and while it was busy going through each room, it wasn't too crowded. Very enjoyable experience overall.
C Ryan — Google review
Such a beautiful and mesmerising place, it was so warm and cozy inside and it just caught my breath away. We got an audio guide for 3 pounds and it was so worth it. Explained every room in detail. I would definitely recommend and the tickets are worth their price

Western perspective on Indian and Chinese architecture! Royal Pavilion was my favourite stop in Brighton and I am so glad I decided to visit the palace on my day trip. Embedded in the rich history of the royal traditions and impeccably restored by Brighton and Hove Museums, the tour takes you from George IV's vision for the Pavilion to WW1 where parts of the Pavilion and the Brighton Dome served as a military hospital for the Indian Army. Entry ticket for adults is £19 with options to pay a minimal fee for paper and/or audio guides. The ticket allows for unlimited entries to the Pavilion for a year.
Chesta Ahuja — Google review
A hidden gem... Great feature you can scan a code and get an audio tour for free... Very informative!! Beautiful and fabulous decor... The staff are very knowledgeable. Buy a full price ticket and visit all year for one price. If youre an English Heritage member you get a discount. 10 out of 10 for this attraction
Carole Moffat — Google review
Stunning example of old school royalty. Influences from India and Asia as well as traditional British styles. Very crowded as some tours were going on which made it very tight inside. The ticket price was a little high, but overall it was worth the entry fee.
K — Google review
A beautiful palace built for George IV that combines Regency and Indian architectural styles, with an oriental inspired interior. There was plenty to see, the palace itself was very impressive and beautifully looked after. There was also a coronation exhibition and informative video room explaining some of the history of the place. Signposting to the entrance could have been clearer as it's to the side and not immediately obvious. Definitely worth a visit!

WOW moment after WOW moment! So many fine ideas in decoration, powerful and royal, and then peaceful calming music rooms. It is a Must Do experience. Thank you to the team that manages and conserves it all, you are champions!
Thomas Overbeck — Google review
We expected spending an hour, maybe 1½ hours there, but ended up spending almost 3 hours. No, no, don't worry, you can spend less, but it is very much possible to spend there a lot of time without noticing. Beautiful place, so many interesting details... I would only suggest to their audio guides programmer to make sure when guide tells you to press something, there must be something there instead of "nothing in this section". ;)
Galina Lokshina — Google review
The heady mix of emotions stirred by a visit to one place is a bit of a shock. I am still digesting how a line of possibly mad family members had access to spend beyond their means, enjoy pleasures beyond their means and yet enjoy support of the masses. Such a knowledgeable and informative team work here it is easy to touch the past. Skills I stand in awe to admire took three hours observing. Listening to commentary on my device, taking in answers to questions and musing at the many levels of conflicting energies that eventually gave us a wonderful insight into frivolous times not that long ago. Truly a moving experience up there with the best movie. Is it Schindler's list or dare I suggest others that raise a similar number of questions of our fellow man? Fantastic place. Made even better by the staff.
Neville Clark — Google review
Amazing place! A fantastic fusion of different cultures! Really enjoy the cultural elements and diversity here, it’s a much go. Adult for £18 but it’s totally worth it!
Dolly천유 — Google review
The palace is so unashamedly opulent and almost kitsch in its Western interpretation of Asia, you gotta just LOVE it cos it is truly one of its kind! Every room has been painstakingly restored, as recent as 2018. And while it costs £18 to enter, it's valid for multiple visits within 1 year. Make sure you bring your own earphones and download the audio guide for only £1, otherwise you can rent the audio set for £3.
Emi Yamatokyo — Google review
I only visited it from outside. The palace is pretty. Although it is more influenced by the Indian style of architecture than the typical Victorian style. It is a good place to have a stroll around the gardens of it. It should not take More than 15 min to finish the palace tour.

This place is so underrated. One of the best walks/ cycling train in brighton

Such a beautiful walk with rock pools and old tracks of the daddy longlegs at low tide

This is a wonderful shared walk way and takes you all the way to Saltdean. Has stunning views out to sea and stunning cliffs to one side. A great place for a stroll or cycle. The other way takes you in to Brighton and it's many attractions.

Not really a great tourist attraction.

We started the walk from Salt Dean and walked all the way back to Brighton Marina. This is a beautiful undercliff walk specially on a sunny weather like today. ☀️😎 Several public toilets in Brighton Marina and on the Undercliff at Ovingdean Gap, Rottingdean and Saltdean. A few cafes and restaurants in Brighton Marina and cafes on the Undercliff Walk at Ovingdean Gap, Rottingdean and Saltdean. Be careful as the pedestrian is shared by cyclist and dog walkers.

Lovely walk from Brighton Marina to Rottingdean. Full of memories. Tide was half out so some rocks were visible. Lots of rock pools to investigate. WC and cafe half-way. For those who tire easily you can climb to the top and get a bus back at two points along the way. Watch out for fast cyclist and for dogs!! The cliffs are made of chalk and they contain the typical flint stones which made Sussex a weapons and knives supplier in the stone age.
Stella (Nonnq S) — Google review
One of the best beach walks I’ve ever been on! Although the rare 20 degree October day may have been a major contributing factor. We walked to the Brighton Marina, which took about an hour. The views were stunning, and the flat path made it easy and suitable for all ages, bikes, pushchairs and wheelchairs etc. We parked at the Saltdean Lido which was completely free and just a short walk away. Highly recommend for those wanting a leisurely stroll without an incline.

The Brighton Dome is an event venue that houses music, theatre and dance shows, as well as the annual Brighton Festival. It is located in Brighton on Church Street and features three venues - the Concert Hall, the Corn Exchange, and the Studio Theatre. The Dome has a history dating back to Queen Victoria's time when she inherited the site and then sold it for just 50,000 pounds.
Great venue for shows. I've been to a hand full of shows here ranging from acoustic to metal and they have all been great. Quite a bit of standing space at the bottom with some seating. The circle at the top is staating and has a great view. Bar is limited in beer choice but it is under a fiver for a pint which is good. Friendly staff and clean bathrooms which are all genders. Awesome :)
jeremy bouchat — Google review
One of the nicest theatres in the country. Small enough to be intimate, large enough to attract big names and acts. Plenty of bars, clean toilets and good disabled facilities. Just don't under any circumstances attempt to visit by car. Very few car parks near the venue and those that are will make you wince at their charges. Top tip: once your over the the parking charge check out the Brighton Dome website for a way to get a discount.

Went to watch the Rude Science show withy children. I was concerned with being in a wheelchair if I would be able to travel through the venue easily and would I see the show. The staff were tremendously helpful from the start to end of my booking tickets. Upon arrival it was busy but no queues. We scanned our ticket and an attendant took us to where we would be seated. I was pleasantly surprised they had took a chair out for me to have wheelchair access and be able to sit together with my children. There was no problem with any access at all. Was a fabulous show which we all thoroughly enjoyed. We got to have a picture with the main star Stefan Gates too. Lovely decor throughout, clean, tidy and beautiful place. Helpful and lovely staff.

Excellent covid precautions before entry, even had an ambulance to offer lateral flow tests. Great venue with wonderful auditorium. Comfy seats, with decent view of the stage. Well stocked bar with plenty of bar staff and drinks not overly priced.

Very good venue for music and shows. Feels like a traditional setting but with modern facilities, long bar for example to serve people during the intermission.

Visited the Van Gogh Alive event. Was very impressed with the layout and design of the show. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Event was completely wheelchair accessible, with wide spaces and lifts between floors.

Spent the evening here for the Lord of the Rings and more! It was an amazing event ☺️ especially with seats so close to the stage! The venue is lovely and has great sound! If there is something you are interested in seeing and it's playing here, I would definitely recommend giving it a visit 🙂
Terry “Poketerry90” — Google review
Went to see level 42 here Showing my age a bit ! The venue is great and I would certainly recommend it. Parking locally can be expo but that’s down to Brighton green agenda to get us all on a bike which is impossible from where I live Go and enjoy a night out

Saw a band there and it was honestly lovely. Got floor tickets and best time of my life. No longer like the bamd but loved the memories. The acoustics were soooo good and the venue its self is a stunner

First visit to watch a ballet. I was really blown away with the dome structure, the seating spacing. The ushers were very helpful and friendly. Sound and lighting very good and appropriate for the performance. Cannot wait to return! ❤❤❤❤
roger ramdeen — Google review
A great place, watched Russell Howard here last week. My only issue was the chairs were uncomfortable and the armrest was too small which for most people would be fine and can add to the overall experience from the venue, this is just my opinion. But the overall venue was nice and clean and had adequate staff on hand to help you when needed. Also wheelchair accessible. I would definitely come back here again.

The Van Gogh Alive Immersive Experience. Excellent. Last about 90 minutes. Reading about his life and looking at the many hundreds of pieces of art work he produced in film form to music was magical. Definitely recommend

I love the architecture of the venue and the beauty that the Brighton Dome holds, I attended the Van Gogh Alive exhibition in the newly refurbished area of the Dome. It was amazing and I can't wait to see future exhibitions that will be featured in this space!

I've been lucky this year to see both Darren Hayes and Cian Ducrot perform at the Brighton Dome. It really is a beautiful venue and both times we've been lucky to get great seats and had no issues at all getting in. The staff here are super friendly and always helpful, Great bars and toilet facilities too and I personally love the architectural features of this building. Definitely plan to come back next time one of our favourite performers is in town. As a tip, if you are planning on coming by car it's worth making use of the NCP Brighton Theatre (Church Street) car park which is around a 5 - 7 minute walk from the Brighton Dome and charges after 6pm are very reasonable. 👍

my friend and i came to the Van Gogh Alive experience this week and it was amazing! it was extremely educational, formatted in a manner everyone can understand (also has disability access such as signing and wheelchair access). each room was thoughtfully designed and very interesting to experience! my favourite was the 30 minute show that incorporated visuals and scents! highly recommend to all 🌻

First visit to the Dome for a concert since moving from London. Excellent venue, acoustics could have been better but still an excellent venue. Crowds are different to London venues and was surprised all the people in seats remained seated, only the standing area had people dancing. I'm not sure if performers expect that as most London venues of similar size people do stand up to dance. Brighton folk are very polite and lovely. Even security staff are nice. Would definitely go again .
Yasmin Khan — Google review
The Dome is one of Brighton’s great large live music venues. The nature of the building gives great sound quality in front of the stage. Down sides to this venue are the queues for toilets and for drinks. Both semi-perpetuating If you want to avoid the queues, as this is a live music venue, go when the act is on, and miss out!
Peter L — Google review
We had an amazing evening. Lovely old theatre venue. Great bar area. Quite a long queue for the gents loos
Richard Major — Google review
Great theatre. We got good seats but could tell that you'd get a good view from anywhere. Only slight issue I could say is that they could do with a few more toilets tbh. Massive queues. Overall a lovely venue though

We saw Murder Trial 2. Great show and would recommend seeing. The Dome is a great place. My first visit there and I was pretty impressed. The staff were great
Daniel Britton — Google review
Easy to get to,into with polite people on hand to help when it gets dark and you haven't a clue where anything is. Sound is amazing and everyone can do their own thing, in the mosh pit, dancing in the aisles. Great venue
Philippa Bramley — Google review
I attended for the recent Ben Folds gig, which was excellent. Seating layout is good, with decent views throughout. Bars were very busy but well managed. A good range of drinks, although £6 for a bottle or a can of beer is a bit of a piss take! Lovely venue, though, inside and out.
Ganu Gasperoo — Google review
A sizeable venue(1700 or so seats) . Good view of stage from circle where we were E12 and 12. Sound quality was not quite as good as other venues we have been to. But it's a great place. Seems to be a low number of toilets that we could find up on the first floor. We saw ABC there and thoroughly enjoyed the evening, as they were superb.

Seafood restaurant
The Salt Room is a seafood restaurant in Brighton that focusses on Josper-grilled fish and meat, as well as local, sustainable produce. The contemporary, refined look of the restaurant with its mixture of whitewashed, bare-brick and wood-slatted walls, bistro-style tables, curvy dark-wood Scandi-esque seats and banquettes in summer make it a popular choice for visitors to the seaside town.
Brilliant experience thanks to super friendly staff and a very forgiving chef! I'm intolerant to garlic and onions and the team did everything they could today to give me an amazing meal. The food was superb, I had the lemon sole which was cooked to perfection. My partner had the cod fillet (posh fish and chips). We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Brighton.

Great location on the seafront. Lovely food expertly prepared and served with care. Tempura prawns lovely but big! So if you’re having a starter, don’t over order. Fish perfect, and steak amazing. We had rib-eye medium rare. Staff all very attentive. But due to popularity book a table early we missed the first slot on Saturday but managed to get a table on Sunday. Enjoy!
Gavin Russell — Google review
Really bright and well presented surroundings with a lively atmosphere. On a fine warmer day, plenty of outside space for dinning, with views out to sea. Plenty of choice menu wise. The food is proper well prepared seafood with options for meat eaters and vegetarians. We had the sharing fish pie which was very tasty and plentiful. Very competitive prices for a large seafront restaurant. Service excellent friendly and informative. There was quite a wait for the food ordered to arrive but gives you time for a good chin wag and a tipple. In the end, worth the wait.

Food was alright, the chips taste surprisingly good. We had spent 3 hours there just for2of us... Mainly is due to Very poor table service ....waiting most of the time even lunch hour wasn't busy during week days. 1/2hour just to Waiting the staff to take order can imagine the rest of starter & main course waiting time!!! And shockingly get charged "Discrenary Service " £12.50 Would have expected better service if have to pay service charged!!! Definitely not worth to visit.

My partner and I had an event to celebrate and were directed to The Salt Room by a mutual friend who recommended it as a ‘special place’ to dine. She wasn’t wrong. I made things complicated by having flowers delivered for our evening booking by a local florist earlier in the day, and a bottle of Prosecco ordered in advance- but the restaurant staff did a great job ensuring they were waiting for us at the table when we arrived for our meal. The food was excellent. Exactly what I expected from a higher end seafront restaurant. I won’t go into too much detail, but suffice to say that as someone who has enjoyed some spectacular seafood meals on the north coast of Spain I appreciated the quality of the ingredients. Scallops, prawns, oyster… so fresh, and beautifully (lightly) prepared. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout, particularly the gentleman server with braces who ensured that we were never left with an empty glass, and if there was a delay he let us know why. The only downside was that they had run out of bread entirely, so we were unable to mop up sauces… this was the only disappointment of the night, and a minor one. Prices were approx £90 per head (including one bottle of Prosecco) for 3 courses. A solid enough showing, overall, but aside from the company I’d brought with me, it was the warmth of the hospitality that made the evening special.

Amazing restaurant in Brighton. The seafood platter was fresh and tasty. The desserts were also very good. Really recommend the seafood platter. It comes with fries and salads. We were 3 and ordered a seafood platter for 2 with additional sides. The platter cost 40 pp. The service was amazing. Highly recommend this place. Reservation is advised.
Virginie Quach — Google review
Amazing meal. The level of service was sublime. Our waiters knowledge for both the food and drink he was serving was excellent. Staff we all extremely courteous. The selection of seafood was particularly good and its matched. Great location on the seafront. We were sat outside and I would have appreciated the offer of the heater above us being turned on because I arrived without a cover up or cardigan and felt uncomfortably chilly until the breeze dropped.

The experience starts at the door, friendly greeting, coats taken and hung up, well dressed table, attentive staff. Drinks order taken and delivered quickly. Fantastic choices on menu with innovative well cooked food delivered with a smile, wine poured by watchful staff, the happy birthday plate was a lovely surprise, the iced Christmas pudding was a revelation, never eaten anything so clever before, had the same sweet on our second visit Visit this restaurant you will not be disappointed
Stephen lambelll — Google review
Would I visit again? Yes, absolutely. The overall experience is very good, even if there are a few shortcomings Was the food delicious? 3 of 5 There were clear differences in the quality of the food. The starters with mackerel nadaja and fish tempura were very good. The main course "Seafood Board" for two disappointed with the contents. £60 for 8 shrimps, two dozen mussels and half a hmas full of fried squid is too much. The dessert avogado was a bit disappointing as the vanilla ice cream was full of (water) ice crystals. The wine list, on the other hand, was again very positive, with a great selection and reasonable prices Price-performance ratio: 4 of 5 We paid £160 for a two person 3 set lunch, with wine and aperitif. Still okay. Service style: 5 of 5 Nice, friendly, genuine friendly. Good suggestions for the wine selection. Atmosphere: 5 of 5 Amazing settings on the veranda/terrace with views on the sea. Tables not to crowded. Comments: The Salt Room is more about its beautiful setting on the Brighton waterfront and nice service than outstanding cooking. Nice service and good food overall, yet fairly priced food still make it a recommendation in Brighton.

Had a great meal here. The service was good and the place had a nice ambience and atmosphere. The tables are kept clean and restaurant looks great. The roasted cod was superb with lots of flavour. The steak we had was also cooked to perfection. Overall very happy with the food and highly recommend this place to eat.

Seafood and wine here are exquisite. Customers service is outstanding. I had oysters, tuna sashimi, octopus doughnuts, scallops, sea bream carpaccio, wild red prawns, white wine, dessert and coffee. Outside area is beautiful with sea view plus it was a lovely sunny day… Worth travelling for from London!

Oysters to start which were small but tasty and great Bloody Mary’s. We all went for the “Sharing Sunday” menu which is basically surf n turf. Really enjoyed the asparagus salad. Steak was nicely cooked although a bit under seasoned. Pea & broad bean salad was tasty but the crispy potatoes were okay. Needed a bit more cooking. Wish the seafood portion was more generous as it was only one prawn and scallop each. Had a bite of the Eton mess which was very tasty. We had two bottles of wine. Really friendly staff. I’d like to go again and try more seafood options.
Hiroe Fujisaki — Google review
We had a lovely dinner at The Salt Room last night. We had Oysters and Dill cured Salmon to start, followed by The catch of the day, Brill and shared the Whisky Baba for dessert. The food was amazing, so delicate but full of flavour, it was delicious. Greg's suggestion for the wine was the perfect match to the Brill. All the staff were friendly and attentive, without intruding on our evening, the service was exceptional. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Brighton.

the food was top tier, but the service was friendly and not pretentious. We felt like it was a luxury/family vibe. The kids menu worked well for my daughter; as she loved Mac and cheese, and Ice cream to finish. Our server was a gentleman (forgot his name) but he was so friendly and accommodating. Recommended me the French Oysters, which was so clean compared to my favs Irish Oysters. I had the Monkfish to finish, and a decadent choc tart to finish. I would love to bring my parents here one day when I’m back in Brighton!

I had the most amazing experience here just before Christmas 2023! 2 visits in 3 days - how lucky was I! Really excellent food and service. Huge shout out to the chefs - Arion & Tomas, their food was sumptuous! Michael & the rest of the front of house team were amazing too! My first visit I had the market fish special, which was Brill, so tasty and huge too. Had to take some home 😆 there was so much! Oysters were also delectable on both days. Would recommend the Bream too. Anither hughlight was the apple parfait, memories of apple crumble!! A truly unforgettable experience, thank you to the team at The Saltroom.

Wow 😲 This place is amazing. First of all, the location is stunning, right in front of the sea. Secondly, the food is excellent, and the price is quite reasonable! Thirdly, the service is attentionate and professional. We have been quite impressed with everyone working there, both me and my partner have worked in fine dining restaurants before, and I can say that you get a lot more than you pay for! Highly recommended !!!

Had a lovely time at The Salt Room, we celebrated a 60th and 30th birthday and the restaurant made sure to help us surprise the two. Gabor was so lovely, we asked what was in a drink they gave us because of how much we liked it and he came back with the whole recipe. You can eat well in a lot of places, but the service here is close to none. Would 100% recommend. Also the Sussex Brill is to die for

Has to be 5 stars - the food was great, a lot of variety and Middle Eastern inspired flavours. Good fish and veg options too. The burnt orange martini was a clever twist on your normal gin martini. Would definitely recommend the monkfish and would definitely visit again!

I recommend it 10 times. Everything was delicious ! We went there for my birthday dinner, we took the Experience menu and 2 dishes off menu for 3 persons (+1 drink each and dessert), it was perfect. Every single bite was exquisite. Love the concept of sharing and tasting. Menu is changing every season. Please try the miso aubergine, it was my fave even if everything was so good. 🥰🤩

Have been meaning to try Burnt Orange for a while and was lucky enough to finally try it for a birthday celebration. Lots of flavorful dishes. Standouts were the lamb chops and cauliflower. The only dish I didn’t like was the shirazi cucumber salad because it didn’t taste fresh at all. The cucumber was soggy when it should have been crunchy and fresh. Cocktails were good. We were unfortunately kicked off our table and moved to the bar because of the table time limit. Atmosphere, ambience and service were pleasant.

Incredibly welcoming and friendly staff with a nice intimate and warm atmosphere. Food top-notch, not a dish we wouldn't eat again! Price very good for quality of food. One small gripe is that there was no non-alcoholic beer for the driver, and the Panoma mocktail I had just tasted like £8 lemonade, but that's not enough to dock a star from what was a fantastic experience.

Fantastic!!! Amazing food. We had the experience menu, so the small plates just kept coming. We were celebrating a birthday and engagement, and they added those extra touches.. complementary glass of fizz and chocolate truffle.. which were very much appreciated. The staff were all very attentive but not too in your face.

Wow! We thought the service was spot on from the minute we got there. The staff were very attentive. We came for lunch and sat at the bar as we thought it’s more fun and entertaining. We started with the lamb cigars and flat bread were beautiful. Some the menu items have a Persian theme to them which I noticed as I’m Persian. Food, cocktails and service were spot on. Highly recommended and get a reservation!

Outstanding! Fantastic friendly service, lovely busy ambience, stunning cocktails and the food was superb! Best meal out in a long time! We shared the Experience Menu and each plate was incredible. Very accommodating for my friends allergy too and replaced one of the dishes for us. Absolutely stuffed but wished it didn’t end it was that good. Highly recommended all round! Thanks to the team for a truly memorable meal!

Wow, just wow! This is a must visit. One of my favourite restaurants to date - can’t recommend this highly enough! This is a sharing platter style restaurant which means it gets pricey but worth every penny. They have a great value experience menu or you can go for a la carte. They had a dry January cocktail list too. Good variety of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. The calamari was delicious and the tandoori apricot cauliflower was the best cauliflower dish I’ve had. I also recommend the mango sauce sea bass. The best food I’ve had in a long while, really really impressed. The service is brilliant from the moment you walk in. The ambiance is warm, it’s well decorated, and just a lovely environment for a lovely meal. They’re brilliant with allergies, happy to adapt dishes. The meat is not halal but there is more than enough veggie / fish options.

Warm welcome given, shown to our table, the host offered to take our jackets. Straight away water was brought to the table (and continually topped up) the EL Toro cocktail was requested to be slightly more acid and citrus than usual. And it definitely was amazing. Starters; The flat bread was nice, spiced beef AMAZING and the lamb well - WOW. This was worth having more of. Mains; blackened salmon and miso aubergine Both were breathtaking and the sour cream seemed to be made fresh at the restaurant. Another cocktail this time completely off the menu, but an original margarita and again stunning. Dessert well only one thing could be eaten the chocolate nemesis. The lemon sorbet was amazing the ginger honeycomb was nice crunchy and refreshing too and the cake was good. Service was incredible and the guy with the X tattoo on the side of his head was very helpful during the service. We will be recommending this for sure. And we will be back when we return Many thanks And new customers ENJOY

We had our wedding reception at Burnt Orange two weeks ago and I can only say good things. It was the perfect venue, perfect, food, amazing service. Mimi was so helpful with helping us plan everything in the run up, and then on the night Charlene and the rest of the staff were so wonderful - really relaxed but still so on it with every detail. The food and cocktails were amazing - we heard many a 'best thing I've ever eaten' all evening and people have raved about it ever since. We felt so lucky and wish we could do it again! On a separate note, my Dad is in a wheelchair and the accessibility is great which is very rare for nice restaurants in Brighton, which tend to be in old buildings. My elderly grandparents were also comfortable. Thank you all so much!

Everything we were hoping, and some! Been holding out to try this place for so long, and it didn't disappoint. The food was fantastic (everything was so good, we couldn't even pick a favourite!), the drinks were spot on, and the service was the best we've had in a long time. Every member of staff was so friendly, made us smile and made our visit feel very special. There was even a small birthday touch at the end, as it was my partner's special day. Thank you so much, Team! We'll be back.

Easily the best place I've ever been to in Brighton. Next level service, super attentive. One of the dishes on the shared Veggie platter was slightly underdone. The staff gave a free cocktail to make up for it. The food is beautifully presented, the flavours so well paired. Off now to slip into a food coma

This was my first time eating at Burnt Orange, having heard great reviews from friends and online! The food was delicious and well presented. Staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. I found it really considerate that they’d marked up a menu for me with what I could and couldn’t have, based on the allergy info I’d provided when booking. Their nut and gluten free options are fantastic. It was cool to sit at the counter, and see the food being prepared. I’d definitely eat here again the next time I’m visiting Brighton!

Came for the ‘Experience’ menu to celebrate mine and my partners birthdays and we were blown away by the service and the food. I’ve always thought it’s hard to find restaurants that prepare high quality dishes whilst also being personable, but Burnt Orange have mastered this art. An amazing experience, highly recommended we’re already planning a return for the summer menu. Thank you!!

First time in that place and for sure I,ll be back there again! Every dish was delicious, but my favourite dish was a sea bream. Customer service was amazing, all staff working there was really kind and helpful. Perfect place for date! Definitely recommend!

10🌟 We had the 'experience' menu which was amazing and such great value. Service was attentive. Recommend sitting at the bar, if you can, just to get the low down from the staff. Highly recommend the lamb and the sea bream. Everything was exceptional but these two really stood out for me. We'll definitely be back.

The tasting & sharing menu is the way to go, exceptional value for delicious & creative food. Service was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was great on a Friday night and the music was well selected and thankfully not too loud or intrusive. Definitely recommend & look forward to returning the next time we're in Brighton.

We had an amazing time for our anniversary! The food was delicious, the drinks were incredibly tasty and the service was wonderful. Rusaith and Bron treated us fantastically well and really made our experience a great one! Thank you everyone at Burnt Orange.

Amazing food and such a lovely ambience with super friendly staff. Good to be able to have a set menu to try a lot of small plates, well worth going for this and possibly adding in a couple more small plates you may want. A really lovely surprise for a Monday evening restaurant full of diners also enjoying their time here. Your staff are a credit to you - well done Burnt Orange, we will be back!!

This restaurant is probably one of our favourites in Brighton, we had an early slot around 5, but even at this time the restaurant was busy and had a great atmosphere. The place is decorated to a high standard and the food and cocktails were really good with a great selection on offer. The service here was also really good, good service goes a long was for us, the food obviously is the key closely followed by the service. Overall we had a great time, but then would you expect anything less from a company who owns probably some of the best restaurants in Brighton, having dined at here, Tutto & Coal shed it would be hard to choose which one is best. We look forward to re-visiting in January.

Shelter Hall is an exciting and lively food court located on the charming Brighton Beach. It boasts a global array of dining options, along with a variety of cocktails, wine, and craft beer to enjoy. This chic seaside venue resides in a converted Victorian building right on the seafront, offering stunning views while indulging in delicious cuisine. The food court features six talented Sussex chefs who have each created their own unique food concepts.
Very pleasantly surprised by the quality of all the dishes we got, especially given the lower price range. There was a live jazz band which provided a great, relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Shelter Hall is a great food hall situated right next to the beach offering wonderful views on the first floor. Having tried most of the food stalls there, I can say they definitely do not disappoint. My personal favourite was Pan The Lost Boys Chicken. Their chicken sandwiches were excellent. They had a nice crunch to them and good amount of sauce. Blue Tacos were also great. The service system there was efficient and staff were friendly. Definitely a must visit when in Brighton.
Jon Bradley — Google review
Very enjoyable food hall with great sea view! The selection of food stalls is good and when I came the order was actually served fairly fast as well. Recommend the sirloin steak from ox grill was so tender and juicy. If you are lucky grab a seat on the balcony with amazing sea views.
Phil Stone — Google review
I took my daughter and her friend there for lunch Each of us ordered food from a different food outlet, which allowed us to eat something we each really wanted and also encouraged them to try new food. This is a great place to get people to expand their eating tastes and also to just to cater for a larger group. Ordering off the app or website was easy and the food arrived quickly and at regular intervals. We could of each eaten, each others food selections, which was a good indication It was a really enjoyable lunch

Great location with excellent view. Service is prompt, efficient and friendly. Overall food is good but fried chicken is a bit too salty and the portion size of fish and chips is below average. Pizza really stands out.

Pleasantly surprised by this place! So much more than you’d expect from a food hall. The first place my partner and I went for food on our trip, expecting an average fish&chip meal, but god was it good. Service was great, food was great, location, atmosphere, everything. Went back later in the evening for cocktails which were also amazing.

Very nice food hall with indoor seating and upstairs balcony views. You order on the app and they serve to your table from all the vendors which is great so you can pick and choose items from a variety of cuisines. The food was tasty and we'll cooked and they have a full bar. Toilets upstairs were large a clean. Highly recommended if your walking along the beach and hungry but not sure what to eat, as this place covers it all.

The system works well as long as you have a signal (and the app) Food is served directly to your table and served by name so there is no confusion. The food is fantastic. I'd definitely eat here again. There's a lot of variation and it was all served quickly and with a smile. Seating is both up and downstairs. Advisable to book in advance.

Fantastic food Hall, can order from multiple restaurants at once to create a picking platter, perfect for when you can't decide on what to have given the vast options. Delicious food, fast seating, I'd recommend booking in advance.
Lor Fairytale — Google review
The place has multiple food stalls inside. The burgers we can ordered from Patty Guy were good but they didn't have a lot of fillings in then, the Cheesy Tots came out a little cold as well. Other than that, everything was good. Food came out pretty quick and is reasonably priced.

Great choice of foods from various menus, we actually ended up eating here twice over the weekend whilst we stayed in Brighton. Friday night was pretty chill whereas the Saturday night was very busy! First night I had a chilli burger and chips which was amazing, excellent portion size too! second night I had a pizza. Service was incredibly fast both nights and staff were super friendly. Great location right on the beach front.

There’s a great selection of food stalls here, with something for everyone. It’s good fun with nice vibe, just a little dark and noisey when we went, couldn’t really hear my partner haha. The three pigs Greek was immense, really really good and I highly recommend it! The chicken was perfect, juicey and charred, with the best tzatziki I’ve ever had and some banging chimichurri too. The bao were good too, fluffy and fun, especially with sriracha mayo that makes everything better, but the nachos from the Mexican were just alright. It’s a good spot for a bit of fun, but the food is ultimately hit and miss with what you order. There’s a bar which has some good options too, and it would be great for big groups to just order whatever you want and feast!

If you come to Brighton and find yourself by the seaside, you should definitely come to Shelter Hall for a meal. Just beware that you might have to wait a little if you come during the summer or at a peak time of the day. They always welcome walk-ins, but ideally, try to book a table in advance. However, if you cannot book, it's worth the wait if you have to! The staff is always quite welcoming and kind, and our overall experience has always been great! I would like to particularly recommend Conchita's Mexican Kitchen! As I mexican national living in the UK, Conchita's is one of the most authentic Mexican restaurants that I have ever tried outside of Mexico. Their flavours are equal to those you can find on the streets of Mexico City! Rest assured that whatever you might order from them it will be done right! But don't forget to try their Tres Leches Cake! Simply decadent!

I have been to Shelter Hall a couple of times now and both times it has been excellent. Friendly and welcoming staff, great views, and great food. Ordering is seamless through the app which allows you to put together an order from a range of eateries. Service is quick and prices are fair. Highly recommend this place.

Really lovely place! Lovely idea, it makes group events easier because you have a variety of places to pick from. It’s nice that you can order from all restaurants from your phone and they bring it to the table. Because i’ve been to some before where you have to go collect. Food was delicious too!! The decoration inside is also lovely!!

The Gingerman is a longstanding and popular British restaurant that offers a variety of menus, including a tasting menu, as well as options for a la carte dining. The restaurant's modern European cuisine is praised by the Michelin guide, and its location close to the sea makes it popular with locals and visitors alike.

We were kindly invited to try their Sunday lunch. It did not disappoint! It was off the charts. Every mouthful brought sounds of ‘ooos and ars’ - if you haven’t tried it then please do. Every dish was quite spectacular And every element on the plate was a masterpiece ….. An exceptional Sunday Roast and reasonably priced. You simply must do a Sunday here!

We came to Brighton for one night away and hit gold with the weather and this restaurant! I had done my homework and searched reviews suggesting great things. And we were not disappointed! We had the tasting menu with wine pairing and there wasn’t a single course that wasn’t an absolute delight for the senses - sight, smell and taste!! The wine pairings were all thoughtful and perfect, expertly explained by the wonderful staff - who were polite, kind and friendly from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. It’s a wonderfully intimate place - a small restaurant with a well-considered layout that leaves you with space and comfort and that intimacy is all part of the fantastic experience, with a brilliant music soundtrack to boot! I wouldn’t hesitate to encourage people to come here whatever the occasion. The kitchen staff and front of house staff are clearly a fantastic team and we will be back!!

Was a small but perfectly laid out restaurant. The service and staff were amazing. We opted for the taster menu with the wine to enhance the experience. This really did not disappoint as each dish surpassed the expectations of the last. Well worth the price tag for the sublime experience. My compliments to the chefs and front room staff. Ps the cocktails where also really good and worth a go.

For the second consecutive year, my wife and I have returned here for a celebration meal. The tasting menu and paired wines are excellent and a real exploration of flavours and textures. As with any tasting menu at a reputable establishment, it's not necessarily cheap, but in my mind, a worthy treat. Food, presentation, and service, all excellent! Well done guys 👏.

Best Sunday roast ever. The attention to detail to each element of the dish is impeccable, from the potatoes to the veggies to the sauce. Highly recommend.

Considering the reviews and paying £200+ for two for lunch was expecting the best but left underwhelmed. Food was ok but lacked on overall flavour, the cod dish was so salty could not taste anything else (have had better tasting food from gusto). Dishes looked great but seems more time was spent on presentation than flavour. If your going to spend this much you are better off going somewhere like etch or 64 degrees. Such a shame as had high hopes. Dessert was good and service excellent but put a downer on a birthday celebration.

Came to The Gingerman because we were interested in the micro seasonal concept. Everything fresh, most of the ingredients very local and we really felt like that came out in the dishes. I was also happy to be able to demonstrate to my Portuguese wife what really great British food can be, and so many of the dishes had a British culinary theme to them, a great touch. Wine pairings were great, staff were extremely kind and friendly and felt it was great value for what we had, too. A real experience. Recommended.

Wow. What a meal. Had the tasting menu (£65) + wine pairing (£35) and well worth it. Each dish was truly exceptional, and substantial portions. If they have souffle on the menu, don't hesitate - they do a flawless souffle. Service also excellent. If you like dry Rose, the bottle pictured was excellent.

Eclectic restaurant
This Brighton-based restaurant offers a unique and thrilling dining experience, with dishes that are inspired by rock n' roll culture. The open kitchen allows guests to see the dish preparations taking place, and the casual atmosphere is perfect for catching up with friends. The menu features British food that is expertly prepared and bursting with flavor.
Amazing chefs and warmth of hosts - beautiful presentation & amazing flavours paired perfectly with wine flight. Images speak for themselves but taste and smell must experienced. Fantastic dining experience. After being led in the beautiful intimate space, we chose (wisely!) to dine at the bar. Everything about this dinner was perfect: the food, the drinks/wine, the service, the pacing and the occasional chat with the team behind the counter. The price is right, and we'll return for more, after exploring the other restaurant by the same chef. Small suggestion: nothing against using the same cutlery for the entire meal, but some dishes (in this case the squab/pigeon) required a sharper knife, so perhaps some thought on matching knives with dish served.

A friend and I had a wonderful experience trying out the tasting menu last night at 64 degrees. The food was impeccable, the service was absolutely wonderful and I was thoroughly impressed with the whole experience. The wines they picked for each course really complemented the food - I’ve never been a white wine fan but I was introduced to some beautiful wines which I plan to order for myself at home. I visited with my friend who’s vegan and there were plenty of options for her too. There’s an open feel at the restaurant where you can see the chefs preparing the dishes, and lots of natural light from the window at the front and side of the restaurant. The only areas of improvement - while the food is incredible, I would say the portions in the tasting menu are very small. Even though there are a lot of courses, I wasn’t entirely full when I left and got more food elsewhere later that night. The restaurant has great ambience but as it’s small, they must make sure that the tables are free for future reservations. While this can’t be helped, we did feel a little rushed at the end. But due to the amazing service, we were willing to overlook this. Great service and wonderful experience. I definitely recommend for those who want to come and try the tasting menu. But I’d suggest maybe having some snacks beforehand or after the meal so you are full satiated.

Decided to opt for the ‘Set Menu Sharing Plates’ menu at £50 per person. The menu consists of 10 smallish plates of food but wow they are all delicious. My personal pick from the 10 would be the Fresh Pasta with egg yolk and truffle. We booked a table over looking the kitchen and these are probably the best options as you see the theatre of the kitchen and you have some interaction with the chef’s. Without hesitation one of the best meals out I’ve had in a longtime. Oh and Jerusalem Artichoke ice cream is a must try.

We chose the tasting menu with the paired wines for an early evening dinner. The quality of the food was superb and original and the presentation was inventive. The service was pleasant, attentive and knowledgeable, particularly about the wine pairings. There were several highlights including a red prawn with elderflower pre-dinner snack, pea and nettle ravioli, and sea trout with nori, sea buckthorn and carrot puree. Every dish was wonderful and we will certainly be back.

Overall, the food was OK. Some of the food hit the right spot, some did not. Service was good. Snack beetroot - The beetroot overpowers everything else, a bit of apple taste towards the end Duck prune - Duck was very tasty Cauliflower soup - The truffle is quite overpowering, although the soup is quite smooth. Bread and butter - Homemade, very moist and melts in your mouth Asparagus - cooked really well, tortellini melts in your mouth and a burst of flavour comes out. The asparagus at the bottom absorbing all the juice very succulent. Octopus - very tasty, mix of carrots and octopus and coriander works really well Cod - Lemon miso was too overpowering and bitter, be very sparing with tasting it with the cod or mussels. Cod melts in your mouth Lamb - Slightly chewy, potato and turnip was very nice. Haggis was a good surprise and a flavour bomb. Rhubarb was nice, the ice cream was a tad too sweet Chocolate made of whey didn't work in my opinion, the taste was off. The ice cream was nice
