Must visit memorial! Painful to realize that you are standing on those very grounds where soldiers were dying defending their home land. Great memorial, well built and kept.

Breathtaking! This memorial shows the actual picture of a war realities and their implementation on people's lives. There are many combat artefacts left underground, including huge bullets from the high calibre artillery. This place puts you into the condition of understanding how harmful and distracting the war is.

The National Preserve of Tauric Chersonesos is a remarkable archaeological site in Crimea, showcasing the well-preserved remains of a Dorian-style Greek city dating back to the 5th century B.C. This landmark serves as a testament to the great civilization that once inhabited this region and should be preserved for future generations. Visitors can marvel at the iconic bell tower overlooking the Black Sea and admire the colorful red poppy fields surrounding it.
The place boasts of an impressive ruined Byzantine basilica "Basilica of 1935" built on the site of early medieval Jewish synagogue which has recently become sort of symbol of the whole area (this one is not to be confused with late 19th century's Neo-Byzantine cathedral nearby built by the Russians to commemorate the baptism of pagan Rus warriors led by grand duke Vladimir son of Svyatoslav in 985). Otherwise, it is a vast pile of broken stones.

(Translated by Google) The cathedral consists of two floors, each of which is painted. The first floor is of historical value, as there are parts of the old church inside, while on the second floor there is a familiar and functioning one. Entrance is only with a headdress and closed knees, but fortunately everything is given out at the entrance. Also on the second floor there is a shop with candles, etc., but there are also incredibly delicious gingerbread cookies. They come with different images and only 60 RUR/piece. Illuminated gingerbread cookies.

Mentioned on
Museum
Specialty Museums
The grand war museum boasts an impressive classical-style building and features a massive painting as its centerpiece. The artwork, titled "The Siege of Sevastopol," depicts the significant battle that occurred during the Crimean War. Russian forces defended against their opponents - England, France, and the Ottoman Empire - for nearly a year before ultimately signing the Paris Peace Treaty. Unfortunately, during World War II, the museum was bombed and parts of the 1116-meter-long panorama were destroyed.
A very charming museum telling you about the first world war in the part of sevastopol, the people there are nice and the tickets are so cheap , have a nice park around it , the most impressive part of this museum is the panorama view in the top floor , it's just so beautiful and specific, every part of it tilling a different story in a different battle for a different hero , i had a lot of fun there , the good thing about it that the stories are written in English and Russian

The Siege of Sevastopol is a painted panorama by the Russian artist Franz Roubaud. Sevastopol became the site of the key engagement of the Crimean War in the mid-19th century. England, France and the Ottoman Empire attempted to push Russia from the Balkan Peninsula and from the Black Sea. After 11 long months (October 17, 1854 to September 9, 1855), Russian defenders faced multiple opponents, 75,000 Russians against 173,000 British and French troops. The whole war culminated in the signing of the Paris Peace Treaty, which did not bring any of the struggling parties a complete victory. In 1942, the building was bombed and from the 1116 m² of the canvas, only the burned fragments were saved.

(Translated by Google) A must visit!❤ Barkas is my favorite restaurant in Sevastopol, everything about it is impressive! For 3 years in a row, our holiday season begins and ends in this magical place. Of course, first of all, I would like to mention the Kitchen and thank the “soldiers of the invisible front” - the cooks for the amazingly delicious dishes! My personal TOP dishes: 💫 Grilled seabass. The fish is tender, juicy - just ambrosia! 💫 Lula and lamb kebab. Despite the fact that I am skeptical about lamb, I can say here - I was pleased! No specific smell and tender meat. 💫 Of course, oysters! The latest. I recommend taking wild ones. 💫 if you want soup, then be sure to try Ukha! Original presentation and very tasty! 💫 Chef’s salad with various “sea creatures”😉 And for dessert, the most delicious ice cream! So creamy, tender, tasty that it’s difficult to take less than 3 balls. I want it again and again! The restaurant is located on the embankment, so a pleasant view is already guaranteed. The beautiful marine interior is complemented by aquariums with fish and oysters. Separately, it is worth noting the latrine 😉 And the waiters, like the beautiful setting of a diamond, are pleasant, polite, know the menu very well and will always guide you through the dishes. I would like to express special gratitude to Yana, it just so happens that she has been serving us for the 2nd year already🤗 I wish you continued prosperity and see you next year!

This establishment has gained a reputation for being both surprisingly delicious and affordable. It is definitely worth visiting again due to its mouthwatering menu and overall positive dining experience.
I’ve tried a bunch of different things from the menu over a couple of weeks and everything here has been really good. The burgers are decent, the sides are excellent, the breakfast menu is really nice as well. Friendly and helpful staff. Really no downside to eating here every day if you’re in the area. Some small cons: - The seats in the main restaurant area are really low relative to table height. You feel like a child sitting there and it’s not really comfortable for dining (check out the photo of a grown man looking like a kid at a baby table). - Staff won’t always tell you that there’s a free drink with your breakfast item (you get a free coffee or a juice drink). - They have delivery which is reasonably fast but one of my orders was wrong (received mussels with thai soup which tastes… not great). Left feedback in their app and they didn’t seem to care. Most orders were fine though. Oh yeah, their delivery is from a different location with a slightly different menu. So if you want your food hot (you should) then eat here.

(Translated by Google) I arrived from the Czech Republic a week ago, where I lived for more than six months, where I tried the national cuisine more than once, in different establishments, and let me think about comparing the cuisine. The beer is really tasty and reminiscent of Czech beer. Now about the bad 1) bread: well, there is no white bread in the Czech Republic except for toasts and their rolls (in our opinion, bagels), but here they offered me a whole plate of not cheap stale bread, it would be better instead of decoration, they would monitor the freshness. 2) utopians: these are their national sausages salted in a jar with onions (to be honest, I didn’t like them there because of the quality of the sausages) here they brought one sausage cut and put on two skewers with gherkins, olives, black olives, mushrooms and even drizzled with balsamic vinegar and sprinkled with watercress, why do I need all this? I wanted sausages marinated with onions, but the sausage was nothing but not drowned, just sprinkled with vinegar and a bunch of tinsel. Czechs love simple and satisfying food. 3) bramburek (in the Czech Republic this is only a big jerky) they brought me a fried flatbread made from mashed potatoes with gravy, the only thing I could eat, but it wasn’t what I wanted, obviously not mashed potatoes for 400 rubles under the guise of a Czech dish. And finally 4) boar's knee (in our opinion, baked pork knuckle) is a complete failure, the meat stinks of a boar, this soapy taste only happens in long-cooked meat, which was then heated in the oven, not pre-marinated, with a smelly and dirty bone, served with stewed cabbage like this as stinking as meat, potato wedges in skins from a semi-finished product and a salad of red cabbage (this is the only thing that looks like Chekhov, well, they love this red cabbage), 5) spreads (in the Czech Republic called pomazanki) they are either mayonnaise or not -or on some other g..., but clearly disgusting in taste and not like the original. Yes, ordinary butter with garlic and paprika would be tastier and more original than what they brought. Disappointed with the meal, we asked for the bill. In response to my comments that it was not tasty, the girl administrator pretended that everything was fine and instead of listening carefully to the comments and showing at least the appearance of understanding, she simply left with the bill and money. But our adventures did not end there. We waited a long time for the change, but it never came. And we followed the principle, although we were going to leave a tip to the staff, despite the complete failure of the establishment. I had to ask for change. They brought the change with a dissatisfied face and even threw it away like a beggar. Having opened the box, we were unpleasantly surprised by the rudeness, they brought the change for a ruble and two for a whole mountain of small change, we decided to count it and were not mistaken in our suspicion, even now there was not enough change, after the remark they did not throw it at us. taking out coins on the table and not even apologizing for talking. The situation amused us, we even laughed, but the laughter was disappointment, the food was not tasty, even if it didn’t look like the original, and even the administrator was rude. I do not recommend this establishment for those who love to eat delicious food. Photos are attached, the last 4 were taken in the Czech Republic to confirm my competence...

(Translated by Google) Just a chic beer bar with its own craft beer. The atmosphere is cozy, the waiters are more than friendly. The prices are completely reasonable. If you want, you can go on a tour of the local brewery! You can also order a tasting directly to your table!
