The restaurant view is very pretty and the waiters very welcoming, but that's about it. The food was pretty average, the fried zucchini tasted of burnt oil and not much more, the moussaka and the lamb were OK but greasy. Really overpriced for this area. 2 starters and 2 moans plus an average wine almost 80euros

Pros: Surrounded by the massive mountain range, this restaurant is located in the middle of the world heritage site and offers a truly unique panoramic view of both the mountains and their monasteries and the surrounding valley. I had one of the best Greek salads there and the friendliness of the staff was amazing. Cons: Clearly it was a bit much more expensive than the adjacent restaurants. In my opinion a bit too expensive. But only a little.

This restaurant is wonderful. We were immediately greeted by Monica. She was full of energy and let us know the specials of the day and told us about the wines. The whole experience is warm and inviting and the food doesn't disappoint. We were recommended to go here from our truffle hunt tour. So glad we took the recommendation!!! One of the most delicious places to eat in Greece! The view is so epic! Sausage platter was amazing from local meats. Wild mushroom risotto was sooo good. Overall everything we had was delicious and the peace here is worth the price. This restaurant grows their own veggies for u in the back !!! Leo was our server and he was great

One of the best restaurants we've been to so far in Greece. This place is a bit more upscale than a traditional tavern style restaurant (which are also good). You should definitely try this place if you like Greek cuisine. Many of their dishes are 'farm to table'. Fresh and delicious.

I visited with a group of people on a bus, arranged by a tourist company. The place was packed with tourists from other companies and the restaurant did not have enough time to serve in time before it was time to leave. Staff appeared very stressed and the tour guide was very upset. The restaurant is located in a beautiful panoramic setting with mountains and big very big rocks.

Absolutely beautiful surroundings for dinner. The food is amazing and caters well for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. Would definitely recommend!

Recommended by my hotel and delightful. Whether you come for the view or the local specialties, like ancient beef steak, you won't be disappointed. Plus the complimentary orange cake dessert was just the right sweet ending. I had them pack up my leftovers + some extra bread for me. It was yummy on the second and third days too!

Great view and delicious food! We sat outside so we could enjoy the view even more. Highly recommend the dolmades. Staff were very friendly until we had to pay via card as unfortunately we didn’t have any cash on us, therefore recommend taking cash with you!

Beautiful dinner in this fantastic restaurant. The food was really good, the wine was divine and the service was the true example of the Greek hospitality . Try the local wine, the red we tried was superb. Monica and her staff was memorable. She can speak also Italian and her skills as a host were outstanding.

Nestled on the way to the monasteries near Meteora, Panoramic restaurant offers a delightful dining experience accompanied by quick, friendly service. The waitstaff was attentive, knowledgeable, and displayed genuine friendliness throughout my dining experience. They were more than willing to offer recommendations and answer any questions I had, making me feel well taken care of. I ordered the "Beef cooked in clay pot." This dish featured tender oven-baked beef placed on a bed of flavorful potatoes, all topped with a medley of cheeses. The combination of textures and flavors was simply divine, leaving my taste buds thoroughly satisfied. The chefs at Panoramic showcased their expertise by delivering a dish that was not only visually appealing but also incredibly tasty. While the view from the patio outside Panoramic is undoubtedly breathtaking, it's important to note that from the interior of the restaurant doesn't quite match up to the grandeur that some may expect.

Very nice place with a great view. Food was delicious. Sausages were incredible and the tomato jam. Fried zucchini balls were also excellent. Overall really decent restaurant.

One of the best food experience! First of all, you just need to see it! Very nice panoramic view! The food is awesome - all the dishes are so good and tasty, served in so beautiful way. Waiters are very friendly and very attentive. Just exactly what is needed. One day I will return to this place for sure.

This placed looked suspicious since it’s close to a touristic area (Meteora). However, the manager was lovely and welcoming and told us the specials (risotto is highly recommended). The food was delicious and all the ingredients are locally imported and freshly cooked. Diverse menu for everyone including vegetarians and children. The view is amazing of the Meteora area and we managed to see some mountain climbers while dining. Also i loved the complimentary ice cream, perfect way to end the meal.

Everything we ate was amazing! Monica our awesome server told us about the days specials so we ended up getting a 15 hr cooked lamb with mushroom’s. To end our meal we received an orange cake with ice cream on the house!! Love!!! Definitely will be coming back.

A bit pricy for what you get, but overall charming. The view is worth it, the restaurant looks good, the terrace as well. Tourists are brought here with the bus cruises...that's why probably the prices are a bit scammy. We ate 2 moussaka...big portions but oily and not very tasty.

Very tasty food with a bit small plates but enough to deliver the taste of an amazing cuisine. I recommend it if you want to eat something good and interesting. Everyone was polite and ready to serve. The view, especially after dark is outstanding!!!!

The most beautiful setting for a restaurant with views of all the historical ancient rocks. The hostess and staff are professional and service is excellent. The food is outstanding with many of the products sourced locally including the meat, olives, olive oil and cheese as well as salads. I hope to return one day for another memorable meal.

I rarely bother to leave reviews on Google about restaurants I have visited. I make an exception today because my husband and I had dinner here on Dec 29th and I want to truly applaud this restaurant for the amazing dishes and the impeccable service, and with reasonable prices, showing true respect to the customer. Every single thing we had that night had been prepared with care, and it clearly shows that the chef and kitchen staff love what they do. The flavours were all well combined (each bite was a pop of flavours in my mouth - if there is boubari and wild pork dishes on the menu on the day you visit, get those for sure!) and it was evident that local resources had been used, hence making this restaurant easily earn the truly sustainable label. The staff were friendly, prompt in their service and went above and beyond to cater to our personal needs and recommend wine and dishes that matched our preferences. The highlight of the night was when the waiter encouraged me to smell the jars with the local tea flavours and herbs and choose whichever one I want - that cup of tea to finish my dinner was the best one I have had in a long time. Well done to everyone in this restaurant - keep up the good work, and we hope to be back soon. Or you can open a branch in Athens, think about it! ☺️

We were amazed not only by the outstanding quality and taste of the food, but also we valued the gentle treat of the waiters! We ordered a chicken cooked in wine with mushrooms and mustard and it was absolutely delicious! Spetzofai (local sausages and peppers) is a must! And the pita.. what a pita! With homemade filo dough, it is absolutely recommended. We would definitely come back! Thank you very much!

I was for Christmas holidays in Portaria. We were looking for a cozy restaurant and we decide to rely on tripadvisor. We visited Kritsas restaurant and we were very happy with our choice! The staff was incredibly friendly, and the food was of excellent quality. I highly recommend the mprizolopanseta. As a delightful bonus, they served complimentary baked apples that were simply delicious. A must-visit! Unfortunately I forgot to take some nice pictures of the food and the restaurant. But the Christmas decoration is amazing and there is also a fireplace.

We are in Easter so we got some special menu I believe. We tried the leek and mince meet pie, which is spectacular. Very juicy, full of flavor, rich homemade crust. We tried the cooked octopus with fava, again delicious. To continue a soft creamy krizaroto with prawns, and a pan of peppers with mushrooms on red sauce... I honestly cannot decide what's better. On the top, we waiters are fast, gentle but funny and guided is very well. Cannot wait to be back!

A traditional, cosy restaurant located in the central square of Portaria Village. We had an amazing trahanas soup, galotiri ( local soft cheese ) and variety of other dishes. The staff was friendly, everything tasty and the environment cosy and traditional. Recommended

The best meal Iv had in Greece so far. Food from their own farm. We also stayed in the inn above the restaurant and it’s quaint and charming—amazing breakfast included! Will absolutely come back again next time I’m in Greece. Amazing!!

Amazing food right in the centre of town. Was worried it might be very touristy, but utterly surprised. The staff were super attentive and made such a great difference. The food came out in good time, but would have preferred to have my starters and main separately. So had to eat them quickly or might have gone cold. Would recommend the moussaka and iced tea.

Based on Google map ratings we ate here and they are absolutely right. We had our first dinner and ordered the Moussaka and grandma's Pork with cabbage. The moussaka was just complex in taste and absolutely delicious, the pork and cabbage was also a very unique taste we totally enjoyed. We came back here the following night for more delicious food. This time we ordered the Saganaki and we were blown away how good it was. I wished I had ordered a second one. We also had the Lamb in wine sauce from grandma's menu and that was also delicious. The service was really friendly and the prices were very reasonable. The location and ambiance was nice. Look up and Meteora is looking back at you.

This is a wonderful place that offers a variety of Greek cuisine. Everything was delicious, but the portions were so generous that we ended up taking the pasta and moussaka home with us. The beetroot salad, saganaki, and fried zucchini filled us up nicely. However, that didn't stop me from devouring the stuffed vegetables, which were delicious.

Classic Greek family cooking, generous portions. Eggplant saganaki starter was outstanding, but the rest was merely competent (we had "lamb in red wine" which turned out to be a huge lamb shank, plus Greek ratatouille, which was heavy on the potatoes). House white was drinkable; avoid the red. Very friendly staff - obviously used to tourists.

After travelling all over Greece from south to north and the islands, this restaurant was the absolute best. The food was so fresh and delicious. The moussaka melted in your mouth. Right at the entrance to Kastraki, steps away from many of the good accommodations. The atmosphere is amazing g, with decorations from the past few generations. Tables are comfortable inside and outside. The service excellent and the food amazing. Even the cats are nicer than anyway else!

Great classic Greek cuisine, friendly service, and fair prices for Greece these days. They are the oldest restaurant in Meteora (from 1926), so although they have a cool shady terrace at the front, there is also a very nice original interior.

I had dinner with my wife last night. We were quite full but having been recommended to this restaurant, we really wanted to try. We felt bad but thankfully, we were allowed to order just one main for the 2 of us to share. My wife wanted to try their Veal cooked with onions. It was so good!!! The meat was so nicely cooked slowly to have such rich flavor & texture. This has to be my best meal in Greece!!! Not to mention the service by the servers were great!!! It was a great evening & I can’t wait to go back for another meal before we leave this area the day after tomorrow.

This is an extremely popular restaurant. I saw big tour busses dropping by and let out large group of tourists to come and dine here, so expect this place to be always packed. The portion of the food is generous, service is fast and professional, and price is reasonable. However, I eat here twice and the food I ordered are just average in taste. I tried their traditional lamb with wine, also stewed chicken. Both are tasted ok, not the best culinary experience I ever had in Greece. The potatoes that comes with stewed chicken are not fresh, and over cooked, probably have been sitting in the kitchen for far too long.

Oh my God! If you are in this city, you HAVE TO try this place out. The best best place to eat. Their simple spaghetti and tomato sauce tasted way better than any other places that I tried. It is even better than my mom's!!!!! Their local wine tasted like heaven. Musaka is great.

We visited this place three times, because we loved it so much! The bread is SO good, sometimes warm from the oven of the bakery just 50 meters away. The portions are generous. Three entrees for four people is plenty. We tried and liked all of these: vegetable soup, tomato and cucumber salad, pork chops, pasta bolognese, country sausage, and meat balls. Staff super -friendly and welcomed us back each time. Brought complimentary desserts (lemon car, yogurt with honey, yogurt with quince, baklava best we ever had). This cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating. It is the hub of the town, a don’t miss!

Amazing! Saw this place and got attracted by the reviews. Ordered the pork chops and moussaka. The pork chops have been the best thing I’ve eaten on this trip so far. First time having mousaka as well. They were both amazing. Friendly servers who speak English for us and prompt service.

We chose all veggie dishes and they are all delicious. Especially, we tried other restaurants in town but your stuffed vegetables dish was the best! Not to mention all the staff were really nice and friendly! ☺️☺️

I love this place. It is family owned for 3 generations, with a great friendly and efficient staff. I recently stayed in the adjacent guesthouse and ate here 5 nights, trying new things each night and it was all consistently good, traditional Greek food. Located in the center of Kastraki, there is also parking around - or it’s convenient for hikers.

This is a very old business, that I remember to have been also in my childhood. I went again now and I have to give kudos!! Everything was perfect with the highlight to be the wild boar🐗 with chestnuts🌰! The service exceptional!

Splendid tastes, if you go once, you definitely go again. Everything we tasted was superb, namely the wild pig with chestnuts, the pasta skioufichta with mushrooms and many more! Cordial atmosphere with a friendly service, always with smiles. Try to learn the secret, how they marinate the pork and they make it so soft… we could not reveal!!!

Everything we ordered tasted as it should, the portions were huge and the service impeccable. Our host was a lovely lady with whom we could easily become friends ! Possibly the best restaurant in the Pelion area! While from the outside it seems to be a very traditional Greek tavern, and so does the internal decor and space, you'll be treated with gourmet creations based on traditional Greek cuisine with perfect meat grilling, modern touches and very good quantity at great prices! Once I got in I said to myself, lets get an easy plate, a grilled steak. I was hesitant until the first dishes arrived at our table. The appetizers looked great and tasted fantastic. Then the main dishes arrived... I was greeted by a perfectly grilled to my order pork steak and my girlfriend with a plate of soutzoukakia peeled with pepper. Both tasted awesome and the ingredient quality and cooking was perfect. Everything we tried was perfect. The chef, yes they had a relatively young chef, came to the tables and asked for our opinion and she did truly pay attention to our comments and asked us questions regarding our food. Then as we came close to leaving came the free desserts. Just like their cooking, those were made perfectly and tasted awesome as well. Then I noticed the receipt. They had treated us the drinks and the desserts, and the prices for the things we ordered were very good, I wouldn't mind paying double the price, that's how good their pricing was! If you ever find yourself in the region, make sure you go eat at H Synantisi, trust me, you will thank me later!
