Ski & Snowboard Areas
Sunshine Village is an expansive ski resort with a wide range of dining and shopping options, as well as year-round activities. Delirium Dive, one of the most thrilling ski runs in the world, has garnered a devoted following among local riders and visitors alike. Located at the top of the Continental Divide Chair, access to this exhilarating run requires an avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe, and a partner.
My absolute favorite snowboarding place. Ever. So many good memories for when I was a kid skiing down from Strawberry chair and now as an adult on Goat's Eye and beyond. Last year I had the best snowboarding instructor too, Jaimie. She was so patient and helpful and I really enjoyed my time with her. This place never disappoints!

This is an amazing ski mountain. I should’ve head to the top right when we got there. What I will remember from visiting a ski Mountain is to come prepared. I think the best should be to look at the map before so you know which runs are adapted to your level and which ones are groomed, and where the new snow is. The orange chairlift is just amazing and you are protected from the very cold wind. I highly recommend this area. For lunch we ate at the cafeteria mid mountain and the fries were too cooked and my soup didn’t taste anything so I would not necessarily recommend eating there maybe bringing a lunch would be best or eating down at the bottom of the mountain.
Sophie Baillargeon — Google review
Great staff and amazing views!!! We did a 7km hike from the top of the chair lift. After we enjoyed a xold beer and the best nachos ever from the smoke house grill. This day was a touch pricy, but worth every penny.

Superb gondola ride, chairlift experience and the view of the three lakes was stunning. Rock isle road hike back was also easy. Food was marvelous at the Trappers Cafe there! Rented bear spray, although saw none!!! Superb place! Never seen a gondola make a 90 degree turn like that and keep going!

What a cozy place to spend time and relax after the day of skiing. We come here every winter with family and everyone loves this mountain town. It has great restaurants, shops and even an ice rink. Very cool town for all ages. All the hotels we stayed at are also great.

Love this hill. I am the worst skier out there, but I enjoyed my time on this hill 3 years in a row now at spring break. Love the gondola rides and the amenities. Have taken lessons, and staff are awesome, including the First Aid staff. Bunny Hill is way too small, and the greens are not too beginner friendly. Others in the group that are good skiers love all the different runs. It's a happy place for sure
Calliopi — Google review
Amazing experience!!! The terrain is incredible and the view is fantastic (when you get to see it). I just wish the burger place was a little nicer (visually) and that the stores were restocked (and open) more often. We actually fell in love with the place and can’t wait to go back. Goat’s eye is sick.
William Gagnon — Google review
I was not prepare for what I behold here. The views were spectacular Would definitely recommend however plan to take the Gondola the hike was not my strong point 2 hrs up , 2hrs down. The pub sells great tasting food. It was cool to be on the border of Alberta and British Columbia
Tamarly Hutchinson — Google review
I've never personally been down the slopes, but as a spectator, I always enjoy the spaces to sit and watch the slopes. Good food options at 3 different levels at the hill. My son also highly recommends the mountain for snowboarding. Lots of beginner runs. Kind and friendly staff always make the experience. We've also had the privilege of staying on the mountain. I wouldn't change a thing! Highly Recommend!!

We got a great deal in the summer. Classic chalet style. Don't eat here. International staff is wonderful. Twenty minutes to town of Banff. Get a waterfall view room; the sound is really nice at night. If you try to get a ride back up the hill at 22:00, you may be waiting a while.
Navin Mahabir — Google review
Great experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The gondola was a comfortable ride to the top, and sunshine meadows was spectacular. Great day.
Aaron Hachey — Google review
The Citadel Pass hike was awesome. Much thinner crowds than the rest of Banff, likely due to the cost of the gondola ride up. Completely worth it. The views were incredible, and the alpine meadows were a fascinating landscape. Take the Standish Chairlift up to the viewpoint then hike down the back side to rejoin the Citadel Pass trail. It was very cold at the start when we went (Aug 25), but turned comfortably cool later on -- perfect hiking weather. On a sunny day it could be hot with the lack of shade in the meadows, so bring layers!

It is my first time at Sunshine Village and snowboarding in the interior of the Canadian Rockie mountain and I must say, it was an incredible experience! The resort is massive, with a vast array of runs catering to all skill levels, from beginners to advanced enthusiasts. The scenery is breathtaking, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and forests. The lifts are efficient, and the staff is friendly and helpful, making for a seamless and enjoyable experience. What really sets them apart, however, is the vibrant atmosphere and mountain views with lots of chairlifts (including Teepee that is cover and heated). The ski village itself is buzzing with energy and excitement. Overall, I highly recommend the resort to anyone looking for an unforgettable ski vacation. The combination of world-class skiing, stunning scenery, and lively atmosphere make for an truly amazing experience.

Excellent runs for all levels of ability. We're beginners and had loads to ski. A special shout out to Chris W for a fantastic ski lesson, he was enthusiastic, patient and knowledgeable in helping us learn to ski. Good amenities all round and a lovely vibe to the place. We would love to come back!

First time Mountain skiing and the location is breathtaking. Transportation, parking and signage is extremely helpful. There is only one small bunny slope so not best to learn on. There are plenty of green runs to choose from for those with some basic skills. You can spend days exploring many options at all levels. It can be extremely busy into the weekends but you should still be able to get away from the crowds.
David Shaw — Google review
Great for skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer. The views are amazing and the snow in the winter is usually very good. It is more ski friendly since there are quite a bit of flat parts on a lot of runs (even blue and black since they sometimes merge with green runs). Parking also is an issue if you get there after 10am on a weekend/end of December. There are 3 mountains to ski from that provides variety to all different skill levels. It’s one of my favourite places to ski in Canada.
Helen W. — Google review
First time visiting and really liked the vast options of skiing here. I'm first time visiting this area, and of course it far exceeds any ski area in Ontario...no comparison. The ski runs are varied from super easy to extreme expert only. Truly something for everyone. Lift lines were non existent, we skied as much as we wanted to. They have nice warm up areas and plenty of food options. Scenery and conditions were incredible.

Took the gondola and chairlift up in August for backpacking. Beautiful ride and great service. Plenty of amenities at the lodge. Picked up breakfast and it was delicious. Can't speak to the skiing here, but I would certainly come back to try.

Sunshine Meadows is a gorgeous place to hike in the summer. Beautiful alpine meadows with a variety of wild flowers, and crystal clear lakes. Many services are closed during the summer, so be sure to bring everything you’re going to need. The only downside is the cost; at $65 per person for the gondola ride, it’s an expensive hike if you want to bring the family. There discounts available for Mountain Collective passes as well as some other ones.
Emily Hoult — Google review
The gondolas ride is the longest I've been 4.6 km (2.7 miles). The ticket also includes the ski lifts. There are several trails at the top. Ours took us to went to the Rock Island Lake and Laryx Lake. The path is very well maintained and the views are gorgeous. Recommended.
Daniel Bello — Google review
The slopes they offer are worth the cost, even though it might be a little expensive given that the environment is quite pleasant and all the staff are amiable. Ski patrol is also very friendly and extremely helpful. The instructors are experienced and provide excellent guidance for beginners. The rental equipment is top-notch and well-maintained. The lodge facilities are clean and comfortable, making it a great place to relax after a day on the slopes. The overall experience at this ski resort is definitely worth the price.

So much terrain. Had a great day at Banff Sunshine. So much different stuff to ski. We took advantage of the mountain tour at 12pm. Our snow host, Fred showed us how to navigate the mountain and took us on so many fun runs. Highly recommend.

Great ski resort for all age group. Fantastic experience with daycare and junior camp for my kids. Kids under 5 is free to ski as well. Huge and various terrians to ride at, be prepared for flat in couple green runs for snowboarders. Will definitely visit again with families soon

Highly recommend Sunshine and ski inductor Luca from the UK. I am a solo skier and had never skied before. Did the 2 hour group lesson at 1:30 which met right on time. Was paired with Luca who is a very friendly, positive, motivating and overall highly professional. It was essentially a private lesson as no one else had selected group lessons in the pure beginner group. We went up the Magic Carpet (very low gradient slope) on a moving walkway and practiced snow plow and turning. Then we went up the chair and managed 2 runs, all in under 2 hours. Luca is very patient and a great teacher. Sunshine is very lucky to have him. I had a great experience. Went from not being able to get the boot on to skiing green slopes in under 2 hours. I rented ski boots, skis, poles, helmet, and bought a daily ski pass with a two hour lesson for $213 USD all said and done.

Great place to ski, different grade runs but something for everyone. Nice place to have lunch and get drinks on the slope. Never waited for the ski lifts highly recommend

I'm so happy and grateful to have an opportunity to ski at one of the best ski resorts in the world. Gorgeous views, wide hills with perfect snow. Ski-in, ski-out available. Restaurants or bring your own food, microwave available. Perfect hills for any ski level."

I am incredibly impressed with this place. The staff was terrific. My wife and I paid for snowboarding lessons. She was a beginner, and I’m more advanced. The training team, Lue and Harry, were incurable. They were super fun to work with and took their time ensuring we were comfortable and confident in the process. The whole Village was very well-maintained. We will definitely be back.

I went during American Thanksgiving in late November and there weren’t a ton of runs open unfortunately. However, the runs that were open were good and the snow was good too! Also, this was early season so the lift ticket was not too expensive! Side note: So many Australians!

Hiking Trails
Tunnel Mountain Trail is a popular hiking and jogging trail that leads to a low peak offering stunning views of Banff town and the surrounding mountains. The trail's elevation is moderate, measuring 267 according to All Trails app. The entire length of the trail is about 2.4 km, but visitors can start from the upper end for a shorter hike.
The perfect trail for an amateur hiker. It is pretty easy with the most phenomenal pay off on the way up. The vistas look like they are painted backdrops to a movie set, a must do hike for any visit to Banff... Good for all ages if you take your time.
Karla McNally — Google review
One of our best hikes so far - the elevation was just right (267 as per the All Trails app), and at the peak we had the best view of Banff (both in the golf side and then the town side). The full length of the trail is about 2.4 km, but today we started on the upper end of the hike so we were only able to cover the last 2 kilometers hike (one way). Once at the top, there is a very good place where you can just sit down and relax (we were able to eat our packed sandwiches). While eating and relaxing, we also had a very nice view of Banff (town side). TIP : The parking lots tends to get full so make sure to arrive at the trail as early as possible.

Bow Valley Regional Transit Services Commission - Roam Transit

Mentioned on
Transportation service
Transportation
Mass Transportation Systems
The Bow Valley Regional Transit Services Commission - Roam Transit provides an excellent transportation service that is free for hotel guests. The drivers are friendly, and the buses have multiple stops available, which are all electric. The decals on the outside of the buses add a nice touch to their appearance. One can feel safer while riding as everyone is required to wear a face mask inside the bus and there are even free masks provided.
Convenient pick up locations throughout Banff. Drivers are helpful in notifying you that you’re on the right bus. Several trips during six days throughout town, to the gondola. and from Lake Louise. Only one driver would not allow passengers to stand. She stopped boarding when seats were filled. Otherwise all trips were a good experiences.
Irma Sandate — Google review
For a transit service that covers a huge area, I was impressed. Actually, I was quite surprised that there even was public transit in a small town like Banff! But it made getting around town much more enjoyable than walking in the rain. It's true that buying tickets and navigating their website can be tricky. It took us a few tries to fully understand the route system and which app to use at what time before we finally decided to buy day passes. However, once we got it sorted out, things went smoothly. There aren't as many busses running during non-peak season, so we had to plan things carefully. At one point during our stay in Banff, the bus was running quite late. I think a driver was getting trained or something. We were in no rush and didn't mind in the least, but I could see that it would be frustrating for someone on a tight schedule. I didn't see any notification system to let us know the bus was coming, just late. All in all, I'm grateful there is a bus to use in Banff! Parking would have been a nightmare, even during the non-peak season when we were there. Thanks to the drivers who take the time to drive us around!
Cassandra Hall — Google review
The buses are clean, heated in the winter and ac is running in the summer, drivers are absolutely lovely (don't forget to say "thank you"), ticket to Banff cost $6 and it is free around Canmore but 9/10 it is late. So if for whatever reason you depend on the bus, you are screwed. My roam app isn't working (yes, I uninstalled and istalled it back again few times)
Anna Kr — Google review
I feel safer that everyone is required to wear a face mask inside the bus. There's free mask for those who don't have their own. Also love that we get free rides using the pass given by Ptarmigan Inn.

We took the #10 Route from Banff to Moraine Lake. Tickets were $10 each, which I thought was excellent value. I found this company after I wasn't able to book a seat on the Parks Canada shuttle to Moraine Lake. They also have an added benefit of being able to book as early as you need (which seemed not quite the case with the Parks Canada shuttle). Also, if you're located in Banff or Canmore and headed to Moraine Lake, it's a much shorter drive to the shuttle bus stop (Banff) than the Parks Canada bus (Lake Louise), for only an extra $2! You can park at the Banff Train Station for free. The service was excellent! The drivers we met were extremely pleasant. And they even allowed us to take a return bus since seats were available. I would highly recommend this bus service if you're headed to a hike at Moraine Lake!
Yuna K — Google review
Really clean service and good quality buses. Drivers are really friendly The process to book your ticket online is clear. I just have a comment related to cash payments in the bus, they don’t offer change and sometime you don’t have the exact date amount. So one suggestion I would make is if they don’t want to have the bus driver deal with change is to enable credit/debit payment by tapping in the bus
Ebby — Google review
Best and cheapest way to travel Banff attractions if you don’t have a car. Ticket can by online with the Transit app and using ticketing machines.
sanka weerathunga — Google review
Very good at not showing up and very good at not showing up on time. I showed up at tunnel mountain hotels stop, 53 minutes prior to when the bus finally showed up. Three x luggage otherwise I would have walked. Three busses drove by us in the other direction. They were heavily unorganized. Today wasn't even a busy day here. Also the bus driver drove badly. Sudden stops which made people bump against each other heavily.l multiple times. I almost missed my connection to Calgary. Please for the future create better service. This was absolutely stressful.
Diako Barzandji — Google review
Was convenient most of the time. Only negative experience was attempting to come back to my hotel from the Banff Gondola station at 9:05 pm. There was so many people that they all couldn’t fit on the bus, and there’s no organized line so everyone was stampeding to get on the bus or risk another long wait for the next bus. They should really have double the bus service during this time, as that’s when the gondola is closing and there are so many people needing the bus.
Devan Dufresne — Google review
My wife and I are vacationing in Canmore, on the Three Sisters Parkway area, for one week and have been using the Roam transit bus service everyday since we arrived. The buses are always on time, large and very clean. We have been to Canmore quite a few times over the years and this bus service has been great for us. Quick trips into town and also for planning longer days and evenings without having to worry about parking or driving back to our condo. Hopefully the transit system has future plans for electric buses which would help even more with Canmore vehicle traffic and environmental impact in such a s beautiful area. Great job.

Absolutely horrible experience, extremely disappointed. What service, in the year 2021, does not email you a copy of your ticket as well as a receipt? My husband and I are on our honeymoon and we were very much looking forward to a day trip out to Lake Louise. We booked our tickets online so as not to lose out on a seat. Big mistake. As previously stated, they do not send any form of confirmation, whether that be over email or text— they ask for both your email and phone number when you book, however. I know for a fact that my transaction went through because I can see the transaction in my records. I had asked the bus driver if he could somehow look up our tickets if we could show our ID to prove it was us. The answer was a swift no and we were booted off the bus. I’m sure Lake Louise is beautiful— I’ll never know at this point. Put the money towards a rental car and just drive out instead of dealing with unprofessional services like this. $40 I’ll never see again and no refund. Absolutely abysmal.
Jelayna Hyggen — Google review
For popular route such as line 1, there are many buses coming, although there are some small delays. For unpopular routes, the schedule can be scrambled. My weird experience is: they have information board at some stops showing you the next bus arrival time. When we got there, it said 27 minutes, which was totally off the schedule. 10 minutes later, the waiting time became 60 minutes. Another 30 minutes later, the bus passed by us, as we had already been on our way walking back to the downtown. If the system cannot provide accurate and consistent information, why even bother to give one? And how can bus riders build confidence on this public transportation and be willing to use them ?
Jeffrey Gu — Google review
I use roam all the time, and it’s useful especially to get between Banff and canmore. But how can a bus that serves a small community and has a “set” schedule be so late all the time. The live bus shows the sitting at random stop sometimes and skips entire times too. Makes me miss my connection to Banff or Canmore and makes me late to school and work.

Very clean, on time, super polite drivers. They are respectful and helpful. The bus saves you a lot of time and you'd not have to worry about parking hassles. I used the bus from the free train parking lot in Banff, to the Banff gondola area, and from there to lake minnewanka and back, for free - I had to show my gondola tickets and I was allowed to hop aboard. The driver pointed out some wildlife, and slowed down to enable us snap photos of the ones we saw on the way. I'll definitely recommend using the roam bus if you're in the Banff area.
Nora IA — Google review
Very disappointed with this ridiculous company. First, you are told to meet at the High School Transit hub, but it turns out that this is NOWHERE NEAR the public parking area, so if you follow google directions to the school, you will be wasting lots of time looking for parking nearby. When you finally find a legal parking spot and race back to the high school, they have given your seat to a standby. No, actually they have sold your seat - for $20 round trip, to Moraine Lake. We arrived 12 minutes before our departure time, after a big hunt for a parking spot, and were sent to wait in the NO RESERVATIONS line, and because others were in that line who didn't have a ticket in front of us, Roam sold them a ticket and left us behind. We had to come back and line up again in the NO RESERVATIONS line and leave at 12:45, which gave us less than 1/2 hour at the lake until our return trip. It seems to me that they may as well just have "first come first served" line since our tickets were not respected anyway. AND there were many people in the same situation, all missing the bus, so to speak, due to wasting time finding the parking lot and being "too late." I wonder how much extra cash they make on each trip, since there is no refund and they resell your trip while you stand there. Also, one operator, Natasha, was rude and snappy and made the whole situation miserable. Luckily, on our return trip the driver was sweet and that helped to cheer us and I do want to give her a thumbs up (September 25, 3:45 return from Moraine Lake). Banff is Canada's showcase to the world and there is no excuse to portray the poor organization and rude behaviour we experienced in the morning. My suggestions are to have the parking lot and bus location together, no reselling of tickets to stand-by people who do not have a ticket while you are forced to stand in the wrong line, and find people who represent our values of friendly, polite service.

I had a wonderful experience traveling to Lake Louise last weekend. The driver, Heena was very friendly and helped us reach the destination safely eventhough the weather was not at its best. Appreciate her driving skills and friendly behavior.
Jishnu P S — Google review
Why even offer an app that tracks if it’s never accurate, some buses disappear completely, unsure if they don’t turn theirs on or the mountains cut out their location while traveling on the #3, I understand that there’s no cell service in certain areas on the highway, but I’ve boarded buses that aren’t showing their location at all.. it’s extremely unreliable, better have nothing better to do than wait for 30 mins at times.. Can you guys at least have your staff provide updates online? I do understand road conditions are poor at times, so be transparent and give up to date data and help people out who are waiting in the -20 temps. Again- I understand this is public transit but stop trying to be ahead of technology and act like you’re current, making intelligent decisions-when you prioritize bike racks and ski racks over people ( bike rack is never used as there’s one on outside of bus, ski racks I’ve never seen anyone use as they would prefer to hold their gear close) Improve please! I do appreciate the versatility but let’s clean it up and add more seats, buses, updated information !!
Lorayne Dundas — Google review
I’m a Banff local. For the last three months the bus is consistently so late that it skips times and goes to the next one. I normally catch the 2 going up tunnel mountain at 1:34. My shift starts at 1:45. The bus regularly doesn’t come until 1:52. If you can’t keep the scheduled times that are not only on the sign but also your website then those shouldn’t be the scheduled times. I’ve seen buses waiting at the Banff high school stop until 1:52 because they missed the 1:34 pick up. I understand that the bus is late because there’s people walking on Banff Ave which is why I haven’t left a review till now. But being late regularly and skipping bus times altogether is unacceptable. I’m absolutely disappointed in roam transit and ask that they do better.
Cyrus Weber — Google review
The bus didn’t stop because it was “FULL” But I was just by myself on the bus stop waiting 20 minutes already because the bus was late ! In -20 degrees, when the bus finally came - route 1 - he just waved at me at the sign that is full but I could definitely see there was a space for one more person to stand . The walk from the Rimrock to town is too long and dangerous along side the road ! Than I had to wait another 30 minutes for another bus, also with sign that is full but thank God the driver let me in - with plenty of seats to fit another 30 people . This is big waste of my time and there should be extra buses on long weekends for people going to gondola and hot springs, for me - as a worker who finished shift at 4 pm and starting my second job at 6 pm and almost not making my second job on time is outrageous . Please Roam - do something about this !

The Roam transit was such a great experience! The drivers are so nice and it's a great bonus to have this service free with your hotel stay. They had so many stops available and having them electric as well is so cool! Plus their decals on the outside of the buses are awesome.

Fondue restaurant
The Grizzly House is a fondue restaurant that takes its theme and approach to the food seriously. They have an amazing range of exotic meats on offer, as well as a variety of fondue styles for those who want to get creative. The atmosphere is fun and inviting, and Francis is one of the most engaging hosts in town.
The appetizer Creme of Cauliflower soup was very flavourful and perfect and Salad was also very good. The dressing was home-made, paired with the fresh sald was very good. Our waiter Dan was very attentive as he refilled our water when needed. The vegetable fine do seems to have fermented before being cooked making it very tasty and very good. As an example The Onion was salted and fermented before being placed in the oil. The cheese fondue with wine inside is also very good. The main course was also very tasty. I suggest you to go with the hot plate instead of the oil. The Buffalo tasted spectacular, a lot different from the beef. The garlic butter to oil the pan was also very tasty when paired with the Lobster. Make sure not to put too much butter on the hot plate as the butter will splatter everywhere. The raspberry dessert jam was not too sweet, which when paired with the sweetness of the fresh fruits was very good. The only thing that bugs me is how expensive the dinner is. More expensive than eating at the top of Calgary Tower.

This supposed to be a four-star rating. But since I have been double charged on my debit card, and haven't got any refund in a month. We were there in the afternoon around 3, not too busy but taking a bit of wait time to get our order/food. The service was absolutely excellent! The cheese fondue was great, but it was a bit greasy as it's only bread dipped in cheese and there are only two of us. the hot rock BBQ is good, with a small portion tho. The other thing I loved about this place is the deco, vintage and country vibes, bears, moose, woody and rustic deco, every little detail filled with an eye for beauty, a great photo spot!

I had an extraordinary dining experience at The Grizzly House! The diverse menu featuring venison, frog, kangaroo, buffalo, alligator, ostrich, and wild tuna was an adventure for my taste buds. Each dish was prepared impeccably, and the ambiance added to the excitement. The Grizzly House is a must-visit for those seeking unique culinary delights at Banff.

Very cool experience. I had a chicken tortellini soup and the cheese fondue for starters. I then had elk, venison, beef, ostrich, Buffalo and wild boar on the hot stone with their sampling of sauces. Cooking on the hot stone was awesome although beware, the bitter gets EVERYWHERE. My phone, which was on the table, and all our drink cups and napkins were covered in butter grease by the time we were done! This meal was amazing and will definitely go back when next in Banff

Absolutely fantastic experience! The fondue and exotic meat dinner set makes this place so special. The service is excellent and we enjoyed cooking our meat on the hot stone which entertain the whole dining experience. A little suggestion for improvement would be to include the suggested cooking time and matching dipping sauce with a piece of note card on the side. Other than that, everything is perfect!

The Grizzly House was a must-do experience for your first time in Banff…however, the food itself is fairly lackluster. The good, as I mentioned, was the uniqueness of experience. Choosing what to order, sharing and exploring the fondues with your fellow guests and cooking (or trying to) with the provided hot plates. It was fun, the staff were great and it was very memorable. Now, the food itself seemed a bit overpriced, taste was underwhelming and portion sizes were small. For what we paid per person, we shared what seemed like pretty small portions of vegetable and cheese fondue… the starter Caesar salads were fairly bland, and the house tortellini soup served lukewarm. Following the starters and fondue, we received our 6-7 ounces of protein per person (which felt quite minimal once served)… but as I said, it was fun to cook and eat, so not a wasted experience by any stretch. We had made a reservation, but be prepared to wait until the exact minute your reservation begins. Understandable given the busy nature of the place, but something of note nonetheless, as we had been accustomed to being seated 5-10 minutes prior at most other restaurants. One tip I read that I was happy to have followed: skip your fancy clothes! Due to the hot plate cooking, our table and surroundings collected some cooking grease… nothing to bother us, but we were glad to have known this prior, and dressed accordingly! Thanks for a memorable experience! We had a good time - likely wouldn’t return, but grateful for it nonetheless.

Our server made everything 10times better. British girl Jess? She was absolutely lovely and bubbly. Food was great and great! It was wayyy better than my expectations. My parents loved it!! Rib eye steak was my one pick and dessert was awesome 👏

This is one of the best, if not the best fondue restaurants that I’ve ever visited. The restaurant has been open since 1967 and still looks the same way it did back then. Which is classic and awesome. The food is simply outstanding and all the different fondue options were delicious. They have numerous fondue options so you are definitely likely to find something that you would like. I highly recommend the cheese fondue and the chocolate fondue.

This is a good restaurant with an interesting history and culture. The food is very good but on the pricey side, not a big surprise for Banff. My favourite was the chicken tortellini soup, not pictured here but soooo good! Libor was our server, he was so helpful in explaining everything to us. I was really surprised to see Czechvar, you don’t see many Czech beers other than Pilsner Urqill. We would come back.

We did the four course dinner, and it was great. The vegetable fondue is delicious, and we got a large variety of game meats (including some specials like kangaroo) to cook on the hot rock. Everything was delicious, as I am a big fan of eating game meat and other exotic meats.
Pat Hughes — Google review
We ordered the fondue dinner 4 course meal and it was absolutely worth the splurge. Such an experience! We did not get the exotic option but the table next to us did and it looked really good. Chicken tortellini soup to start was comforting. The fondue was creamy. The hot rock cooked perfectly. The chocolate dessert fondue was the perfect finish. Our server was helpful when needed, but not overbearing while we enjoyed working our way through the courses.

Excellent food and customer service. I would highly recommend making a reservation in advance as this restaurant gets packed SUPER fast. I had the beef and chicken original fondue and it was great, though I found that it was initially very strong on the alcohol flavour before the garlic fully kicked in. Their chocolate fondue was a great way to end the meal. I'd also recommend getting the hot rock instead of hot oil to reduce the risk of accidentally burning yourself.
Millie Mallard — Google review
An experience! A very unique place with a unique menu. They had options of kangaroo, elk, rattlesnake, etc. We cooked the raw meat at the table on a 600° slab. It was a wonderful meal. The tortellini soup was out of this world.

I've personally never been here before, my friend recommended the place and after lastnight I understand why. Our server was Susan M. And she was the best server I've ever experienced. She was bubbly, personable, extremely knowledgeable, and all around she made our already amazing experience perfect. The restaurant serves wonderful dishes and I recommend you come in a group and try a little bit of everything. The decor of the restaurant gives it a very nice cozy, rustic atmosphere. We enjoyed the fondue but swapped out for hot rocks for our main entrees. As mentioned earlier, Susan M. Was fantastic and she anticipated our needs before we could even ask for a fresh hot rock she was offering to replace them. We tried the house cocktail, gin based, and it wasn't overly sweet but extremely flavourful. We also tried the 3rd tap brown local draft. I was expecting more of a honey brown but it was darker like a Guinness, which wasn't bad at all, but I definitely filled up a bit too much for it. Definitely recommend you choose lighter drinks, like the house cocktail.

The 4 course menu was a great recommendation. I personally recommend to add sauteed mushrooms to the cheese fondue. The service was super fast and helpful in regard to how to do the different types of fondue. Grizzly House already made it on our list where we will go again when back in Banff!

We had a great final meal before leaving banff. Cheese fondue to start. Everyone got different meat. Beef, chicken, prawns were good, but exotic kangaroo was amazing. I preferred the ostrich which was very lean. Some started with soup and salad, all finished with chocolate fondue. Fair selection of cocktails and wine.
Paige Peaslee — Google review
A must see if you're in Banff. The perfect après ski protein load. Get the wild meat selection and the cheese, of course. They're happy for kids to share dishes, which keeps the costs down. Better if you make a reservation first, but they are very accommodating if you don't. Perfect to celebrate a special occasion.

Honestly, a restaurant is only as good as it's service. Every time the waiter for the table beside us came by, we listened closely because the service he provided was out of this world! Food was delicious, but it was very pricey, definitely a one time experience. Definitely recommend booking a reservation. -The bathrooms are so cool 😎

Great experience here! Log-cabin-in-the-woods atmosphere even for a big space. We did the fondue dinner for two and tried all the exotic proteins. Service was excellent. Clear explanations on cook time and how to use the hot rocks, etc. The food was fun and a cool experience, but not excellent. My soup of the day “chicken tortellini” had only one tortellini in it and wasn’t hot. No other disappointments though. (Not pictured: the soup of the day, house salad and vegetable fondue appetizer, we were too hungry and forgot to snap a pic.)

Amazing experience! It is very delicious food. I recommend the full meal option, it is a little pricey, but a good deal and so worth it! It comes with a soup or salad, cheese fondue with a whole basket of bread, your choice of meat (recommend the alberta) and a chocolate fondue to finish so filling. The vibe of the restaurant is also super nice and secluded eating areas. You should make reservations a week before for the weekend suppers. I made 5 days before and the only time left was 930pm. Cannot recommend enough!

We had an amazing experience at The Grizzly House while visiting Banff! We ordered the Complete Fondue Dinner with Four Courses. For Starters, we had the Soup of the Moment and Tossed Green Salad with special Grizzly House Dressing. As for Appetizers, we had the Neufchâtel (cheese with wine and Kirsch Fondue). We chose the Exotic Fondue Dinner that comes with alligator, rattlesnake (was not available but they substituted it with kangaroo meat instead), ostrich, frog legs, buffalo, venison and daily exotic fish (tuna) for Main Course. We also chose the Alberta Fondue as another Main Course that comes with beef, buffalo, elk and venison. Everything tasted scrumptious! And we save the best for last… dessert! We enjoyed the Chocolate Fondue with melted Callebaut chocolate and fresh cut fruits like strawberries, honeydew, cantaloupe, banana and apple with a few wafers. It was a pricey meal for two people but it was such an awesome experience to be able to try those exotic meats on a sizzling hot rock. A very unique experience for us!

Staff were so accommodating. We didn't have a reservation, but lucky us, they found us a spot. Staff were very seasoned and professional. Lots of options on the menu. We were recommended to go with the hot stone instead of the fondue oil -- great choice! Cheese fondue was so good. We had the Alberta and seafood plates. Small portions for four adults, but one we had the cheese, and chocolate fondue dessert, and beer, we were all full. Great experience, and I would recommend it.

What a great experience. Had a reservation and came a bit early, they got us in without any issues. We got the 4 course fondue meal. I got the original with beef and chicken & BF got the exotic meat one. They didn’t have rattlesnake but kangaroo instead which was okay. The cheese fondue was different, Swiss cheeses and they were very strong & stinky. Was only able to have a couple. All the meats were great. We got the oil and hot stone. Would recommend just getting the hot stone as that’s mostly what we used. The service was outstanding. Answered all our questions and would explain the dishes to us and what to do. Overall, such a great experience and a had a wonderful date with my BF.

Overall I had a decent experience. For the price we paid, the food quality didn’t meet our expectations. We originally sat indoors but quickly requested outdoor seating since it got very smokey due to a lot of tables near us cooking with hot stones. Service was good. My favorite was the little mountain view we got lucky with. It was a romantic little dinner.

Went for lunch and had the 4 course dinner. You’ll definitely leave there full. Had tortellini soup to start and it was delicious. Tried the exotic meats and the beef and lobster and it was such a fun experience. The server was super helpful and brought and explained everything we needed to know. Definitely try this place out when you’re in Banff.

At Banff Ave Brewing Co., you can get your hands on a range of tasty beers and hearty food options. They make their own six to eight, plus other local brews, so you can try something different every time. The poutine with bison chili is our favorite item here - the chunks of meat are meaty and flavorful, and the gravy compliments the cheese curds perfectly.
Nice little brewery, even bought a souvenir there. The food was great, the beer as well. I got the mac and cheese and I was happy with it. The portion size seemed a bit small at first bud cheese and pasta usually is quite filling! As a starter we had some smoked olives. Not my favorite but okay as a small appetizer snack. I got a flight which was really nice presented. Some of my beers I didn't like, but here I ordered outside my usual taste. If you want to take a souvenir with you definitely check out their shop. I myself got a nice hat.

not impressed with a friend chicken dinner for $22 that made me sick all afternoon. The coleslaw had dijon mustard in it, so for me was inedible, chicken was good but the batter was soo thick i couldn't eat it, gravy was good. husband had a $28 steak sandwich that was a pretty small portion and for some reason came with salad not mentioned on the menu and was covered in a much hated vinegary dressing. server was great, but we wont be back based on the food.

I had a very nice time dropping in and trying a few drinks here. The appropriately named 'A Good Surprise' gin drink was tasty, and so too was the 'Smoked Cherry Porter' a delight to taste with its deliciously intense smoke flavor. Should I return to Banff, I would like nothing more than to come back and try even more of Banff Ave Brewing's unique concoctions.

The waitress suggested us the buffalo chicken sandwich and calamari. We love the sandwich so much, the chicken was crispy and the sauce was just delicious. The drink was okay.

Such a gem of a local brewery. We went 2x during our week visit in Banff. The service was very attentive and they kept our beers full. The atmosphere is cozy and everything you would hope for in a local Canadian brewery. Tons of indoor seating and outdoor balcony seating, overlooking Banff Ave. They have flights of 6. The PB&J beer was insane! I recommend the mac n cheese, and the falafel wrap.

Drinks were good. Service was slow but our server was very attentive. The fries and gravy were cold and cheese curds wouldn't melt. So, can't speak to more than their ability to cook a simple Canadian dish.

Great beer! Excellent service! Stopped by for a Head Smashed IPA. They have a beer bar just off the sidewalk. There are tables on the street where the server will come out to you if you sit there. They have an upstairs that is set up as a restaurant with a full bar, a large balcony with high top seating, and a pool table in the back.

Service was good when we first got there and through ordering. But the food took forever and there was a long stretch where no one checked on us. The food when it arrived was pretty mediocre. Totally edible but nothing worth mentioning. The best was the two Jack salad and the fish n chips. $10 Thursday night beer steins were a good deal.

Cracking little bar with lots of unique and different beers on tap. Decent menu. I had the poutine which was nice, but I have had nicer. Service was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced. Would I go again: No Would I recommend: if you like trying different brewing companies and different beers it’s worth a crack

This place is perfect for beer, or order 2 flights and get one of everything! Great atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff. Didn’t eat here but the food that went by looked good. Seating inside and out. Strongly suggest bellying up to the beer. Lots of interesting merchandise (hats, shirts, etc.) Recommend trying the Wild Warden Raspberry Sour, What’ A Melon Lager and the Pear Ginger Kolsch.

One of the worst meals I have ever had. Our waitress was very nice, but it took far more than half an hour for our food to arrive. When my Crispy chicken sandwich finally did appear, it was slimy and awful. I never leave food on my plate, but I couldn’t get through this sandwich atrocity.

Had fun tasting beers & eating food for at the BAB - Banff Ave Brewing. My Salmon was great & so we’re the beers. Excellent to go eat & drink like kings & queens, people watch & listen to nice music. 8 minute walk from our hotel - downtown Banff is very walkable. Washrooms (restrooms in US), clean and accessible. This building has inside & outside seating on top & bottom floor.

The 2 stars are for service.... Absolutely horrible had to go and ask my self to order food as we seen the waitress 2 times the whole time we sat at the table. Restaurant wasn't even packed full. Food delicious worth the $$ beer was pretty good. Service disappointing

Cajun restaurant
The cajun restaurant Tooloulous is a Banff favorite for its inventive Cajun and Creole dishes, massive whole-family-pleasing repertoires, and early arrival. The menu features garlic grits, a classic Canadian breakfast hash, stuffed pancakes and peach and pecan Belgian waffles among many others.
Was intending to go to the place next door (Coyotes) but were greeted by an extremely unfriendly host so made the easy decision not to stay. I'm happy we stumbled across this place. The breakfast was a solid 10/10. Portions were great and we found the prices to be very reasonable. We went with the suggestions of our server and were very impressed with everything. Highly recommended!

Amazing!! I don't even know where to begin. We went there for dinner and the food was absolutely delicious! (I miss the cornbread already🤤) Most items were very reasonably priced for the portion size. The restaurant is a very cozy and fun space. The staff are so warm and inviting! Immediately, we were greeted by a very polite host, even the chefs and other staff would gladly engage in conversation if you walked by. As we left, they called to us from across the restaurant to have a great night and stay warm outside. Our waitress, Mara, was absolutely wonderful! Such a genuine and kind person. She was attentive, sweet, and helpful. She gave honest answers to any questions, quickly helped us through the menu, and engaged in cheerful conversation. Even as it got busier, she handled all her tables with the same grace and quality. Anyone is lucky to have Mara as their server and furthermore, I would like to shout out the whole staff! Thank you for the great night Tooloulous! We will definitely be back❤️❤️

This Southern Style restaurant had a good reputation online but delivers only acceptably. The decor is dated and dim, and the policy for our table of 11 made us all arrive on time, which felt inflexible. However the biggest downside was the quality of the food and flavours. The meals ingredients could do with more clarity of flavour and acidity. Our chicken was even cold in the Bayou soup. The Bourbon bun for the beef burger was over burnt. In short, it seems the dishes were hastily prepared or seemed to have been made from one large reheated pot. Otherwise, the staff were friendly and mean well. Though for the prices we paid we had expected more.

HUGE PORTION and we loved it!!! Had to wait for maybe 15-20mins before we get seated... We ordered some pancakes with side of bacon, veggie omelette, apple cinnamon waffles and some eggs Benedict and we enjoyed all of them. Great service as well and pretty good ambience when we dined.

The place was cozy, though the space was a little small. They sure do know how to maximize the space they have. I had their Banana’s Foster French Toast and it was a delight and not too sweet. The water had a strong taste of chlorine though. Service, overall was great. I’d recommend this place to anyone trying to decide where to eat for breakfast.

Food was delicious. We were seated immediately and service was fairly quick. Waitresses and staff were very helpful with some allergy concerns. Portions were a bit small however, depending on the dish. My snow crab plate was delicious, but I left still hungry.

Came here for brunch after reading positive reviews... And yes, those reviews were very accurate. It was a bit of a wait today (Easter weekend after all), but it was only 30min so understandable 👍 The atmosphere is pretty cool in here and the food was amazing. Priced within reason, good sized portions and tasted amazing. I had the Acadian BLT and the Fried green tomatoes that come on it... Wow good 👍👍 We also had the "Starv'n Marvin" which is essentially a steak sandwich made their way and it was really good too. Would definitely recommend coming here anytime. One standout feature is the have a hot sauce area, many to choose from and some of them are pretty spicy. Thanks for the great service, great atmosphere, and killer good food 👍👌👍

We loved the cornbread here so much we came back another time during our short stay in Banff. Other than the cornbread, the Etouffe was our favourite! The wait wasn't too long both times; each time we were given a buzzer and we could wander the block to pass the time. Service was good; the waitstaff really nice.

I read both good & bad reviews prior to deciding to checking out this place for breakfast. We definitely won't be coming back. I had the breakfast poutine and my husband the New Orleans breakfast. The food overall wasn't good. The bun that came with the meal was warm but not fresh. Seemed as if they just warmed in the oven the buns that were baked 2 days prior. The potatoes 🥔 were not freshly cut and hard and old. I asked for a side of freshly cut hard/firm tomatoes 🍅 and instead received tomatoes that appeared days old cut, soggy & wet that had come out of the refrigerator. The slice of orange 🍊 that came with our meal was also days old and even appeared as if it had a bite mark. Not sure how long ago those oranges were sliced but definitely not same day. The Strawberries 🍓 were also old and not fresh. For a $60 meal including tip it definitely wasn't worth it. The only pro was I wasn't charged for the tomatoes after I told the server I wouldn't eat them because of how they appeared. Won't go back. There was a line outside when we left and I wanted to warn ⚠️ the people, but my husband discouraged me from doing so. I personally wouldn't recommend this place for breakfast.

Came in on a Monday morning with a fairly empty restaurant. Was greeted nicely and seated promptly. However, that is where everything else went downhill. Took about 15-20 minutes to be asked what we want to order. Completely ignored while everyone else around us was being served. Just felt silly as you are seated right in the middle of the restaurant you’d think one of the servers would ask what you’d like for your order. After a wave down, it was clear the server completely forgot in a 10 by 10 room that she missed an order. A quick apology , only for the food only to take another 30 minutes (for two people) while we were assured it’d be a rush order. The food itself is very mediocre for the price. Save your time and money to go somewhere else.

Pretty good food. Generous portion for entrees. Slower service but nice. Overall would recommend. Make a reservation for dinner as the space is cozy. The steak was fantastic. Jambalaya was pretty good. The gumbo was alright. Braised pork belly was delicious and only comes in four pieces.

It's YES! If you wonder if you should go, you already have your answer. Just prepare to be unable to move for next couple of hours :) It's a small, cool place with Louisiana spirit. Lots of gluten free options (basically the same as for anyone else). The portions are huge, but everything is super tasty, and has that homemade feel to it. Even the waffles were nice, light and fluffy. Just... go and enjoy! Oh you might wait for a bit to get seated, even on the weekdays, but it's totally worth it. We were also told once that the wait is an hour and it turned out to be 30 minutes so be nearby.

Get here early. We waited 15 min at 9 am. It was 45 min by the time we left. Staff was great. Place was clean and the food was awesome! My wheat toast was buttery. The omelets were tasty. May come back a few more times this week. Indoor and outdoor seating.

I think it’s delicious for those who are used to such breakfasts. There are really a lot of people, but we didn’t have to wait for the table because we came on a weekday. Portions are large, that’s good. I didn’t like the potatoes. The food was brought quickly. For 2 dishes and coffee with a tip came out $60

So many options on the menu. We went here for breakfast both days since it was so good. Portions are quite large but we aren’t complaining!
Krysten Kamminga — Google review
Went there two times, both had a waiting time. The staff gives you a pager that rings when you are ready to be served. They also give you an estimated time for the wait so you can go shop around and come back around the estimated time. The first time I went there, I had a blackened shrimp quesadillas, it was amazing, and a grilled cheese deluxe from the breakfast menu. It was also good but not as the quesadillas. Their potatoes were a bit undercooked which made them a bit hard to eat. The cocktail was good, nothing to complain about that. The second time was disappointing, ordered a chocolate strawberry pancake but there was no real chocolate, only some drizzle and too much whipped cream. BLT was decent but nothing wow, potatoes better this time around. This time we ordered two drinks, purple haze and peachy peach, both didn't taste much, wouldn't recommend those drinks. Overall, service is good, food is better if you take the lunch/dinner menu, I would not recommend the breakfast menu at all unless you have to. The atmosphere is family friendly, beware that there might be screaming kids while you eat.

We happened to pop in here for a late breakfast on a busy weekend and only had a 20-minute wait for a table. Service was quick and excellent. The food came out quick for how busy it was and was delicious. The chicken fried steak was a little crispier than I typically like, but in the Eggs Benedict it worked well and had a delicious Hollandaise. The buttermilk biscuit is a side to skip, I'm not sure if it was the altitude, but it was very small and dense, especially for the price. Definitely get in early, especially on the weekend, but well worth the wait.

I took my out of town family here a couple weekends ago because I read on a foodie group that this place has excellent seafood. However, we were disappointed on our first visit here and probably will not consider going back. Food quality - We ordered a big seafood platter, and burgers for the kids and a couple more items on the menu. The prawns in the platter were not fresh. The texture of the meat was mushy and they just were not good fresh quality. The snow crab and the rest of the seafood platter was excellent. The big selection of spicy sauces were great and my son loved his burger. Service - Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. However, it took around 50 minutes from the time we ordered to the time we got our food . Our drinks came around 20 minutes after we ordered. We had a toddler with us, and the owner (I presume) was nice enough in the beginning and even gave her a little plastic anImal from the bar to keep her calm. However, he made comments like "we will sit you in the corner" right when we walked in, and "you have to sit down in your chair" when she started fussing after waiting so long for the food . As a result of her starting to act out due to hunger, we carried her to the back where the bathrooms were and the owner made the sit down comment. I am not sure if it was a harmless joke but that made us really uncomfortable. Ambiance - it was a pretty laid back place, well decorated for the kind of restaurant it is. Price- it was on a higher scale considering the quality of the seafood. I hope the owner can address the quality of the seafood as well as the speed of the delivery of the food. When we arrived it was not busy , so we should not have to wait close to an hour for the food.

An indoor campfire experience !! Great ambiance and decoration. The service was phenomenal, everyone was really attentive and smiley, (their pins are lovely). Their campfire cuisine is varied with vegetarian options. We tried the ribs, so tender and juicy. Also the vegetarian burger was top notch but, their fries aren’t great. Seating can be outside or inside but with whatever option , you’ll have a good time. We loved this place.

After being referred by a friend we visited this place on a Saturday evening and it was busy The cocktails we ordered were good and we liked it. But the snacks and veggie bowl were below average for the amount we paid. Even the portion size was too les. Would definitely not recommend this place if you do not eat meat. The staff could have been more courteous.

The cornbread with the maple whisky butter was the best I've ever had. Great vibes and great distillery. The flight comes with 6 and is a combo of gin, rye and vodka. The espresso vodka was superb. I also recommend the maple rye (not included in the flight). The bison burger was a nice balance between the crunchy bacon & fried onions and the blueberry aioli. Free tours at 3:30PM.

Highly recommended, it has awesome food and amazing cocktails. I always go for local beer, fortunately they serve local beers. The vibe of the restaurant is fantastic and the staff are friendly. We asked for a table next to the window, they told us it was reserved, thus it had a time limitation, we accepted the situation and they provided it for us.

Stopped in to Park for a meal with a group. Staff were fantastic and friendly. It took about 50-60 minutes for the meals to come out. Drink menu is good with tons of variety. I had a Belgian white which was quite good. For the entree I ordered a full rack of ribs with a baked potato for a side. The ribs were quite dry and came with a few small potatoes which were cooked to a crisp, pretty much a shell of a potato, not sure if this is the way it was supposed to be cooked or not. The slaw was really good. The baked potato was good but quite expensive for what it was Overall the meal was still fairly good but quite expensive. I likely would not go back based on price and quality of food.

I will almost always avoid tourist traps if I can and if I can't I will rip them apart on reviews. I did not expect much from this place as it's in the busiest part of Banff where all tourists walk through but we were so hungry and wanted a patio so we stopped there. It might be hard to believe but this was the BEST BURGER I've ever had, tender, cooked perfectly, fresh, tasty etc ... my wife and I shared the Bison Burger with Hot Wings and my only regret was sharing it with her T_T. The wings were also very very delicious, very fresh and not too spicy. Patio is very nice though definitely get an umbrella 'cause the sun will destroy you. Staff is polite but could've been a bit faster as we initially said we wanted a minute to think about it and 15 minutes later she showed up again so yeah amazing food, atmosphere but staff could check in a bit more. I definitely recommend this place and it wasn't even expensive, well for touristy places anyway.

Location location location. Park distillery gets that right for sure. In the middle of Banff downtown is a great spot to be in. Varied cocktail and drinks menu given that it's a gin distillery. They age their cocktails too which for me gave their Martinez a level of depth in flavor and smoothness that was distinct. Buddha bowl was a good meal with very flavorful ingredients including tofu having seasoning even on the inside which is generally hard to do. Cesar salad could use some improvement but ribs are good here. Nice service as well, polite , quick and helpful in providing recommendations as well as accommodating dietary limitations

The first stop on our last night tour, we ordered drinks. We had hoped to order food, but by the time we had finished our first drink, the bartender hadn’t come back to ask for a food order, so we decided to move on to our next spot. Drinks were good but not super creative concoctions. New twists on old favorites. Still worth a pop in.

Amazing cocktails! Service was outstanding 🥰 plus they allow our four-legged family members on the patio! Get the hummus, don’t tell your husband there’s kale in it - they’re never gonna know! Thanks!

This 3 level distillery restaurant in the heart of downtown Banff was a very warm welcome to mine & my sister’s first night ever in Banff! Let me tell you, everything is good here! We ordered their specialty drink called Mountain Joe Hard Coffee-Shaft which consists of their in house made vodka, cold brew coffee, & a splash of milk (cow or oat) this drink is a MUST order if you like coffee & it’s now become my new favorite alcoholic beverage! I ordered their Caesar salad to start off with which was outstandingly delicious & I ordered the Seared BC Salmon which consisted of a Feta caper sauce, arugula & watermelon radish salad, warm potato salad! Out of this world delicious! The hostess that greeted us was upbeat, friendly, & bubbly & seated us right away after asking for our reservation. Our waitress was amazing, she was on the ball, friendly, & personable! The ambiance is dimly it with a chill cozy vibe with red lanterns suspended from the ceiling for an added rustic feel! You can’t got wrong with anything you order here! Highly recommend!

I absolutely loved eating here! The service was awesome and the food was so so good! I got the double bacon burger with curly fries and it was delicious. The atmosphere and location of the place was everything, and I loved the lighting and decorations around the bar.

Great place for dinner with a large group in Banff. Our server was phenomenal and was able to describe every drink that we asked him about. The atmosphere was lively and fun on a Saturday night. Good place to go before heading out for a night out!

Not my first rodeo. Park is always in my plans when I’m spending time in the Rockies. The dining room is a cool and warm Canadiana vibe. The stills tower over the bar with a super tall ceiling with lanterns hanging and the aspen tree trunks lining the back of the bar. The cocktails are delicious. Actually I am on a booze break and was so glad to see that they have a decent list of zero proof cocktails. Thank you team for carrying those options! I was sad to see the bannock gone from the menu but the cornbread (which replaced it) was nice. We had a bison burger, Park burger and the NY strip steak. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with the food here. You cannot go wrong. The staff on my last visit appeared to have a good chemistry. Which is great because they were quite busy. Note: they offer tours if the distillery and also sell their spirits, pre-mixed and other swag through their gift shop at the entrance.

We sat on the patio yesterday. The menu all looked tasty it was hard to decide what to get! The service was excellent and the food was super delicious! I'd come back again for sure! Brought my three kids and spouse.

I’d give it 3.5 stars but google doesn’t allow that. So I rounded up. All the staff was super friendly, but a little slow— it was pretty busy though. But the food was just okay. My husband said “I think Costco has better Caesar salad.” The wings were quite tasty. Loved that they had a little crisp to them. The cornbread was also yummy.

Great food and drinks! We had the ribs and the rotisserie chicken sandwich, with the smoked s'more and old fashioned ice cream for dessert. The s'more was average, everything else was fantastic. Really cool atmosphere and our waiter was friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

Some of the best food and service I've ever had. Such a cool spot. I love the mountaineering vibe. An absolutely awesome place. This should be at the top of your list when visiting Banff.

Good vibe, good cocktail, and good food perfectly knitted together. Service was good but we felt pressure to leave as others were waiting. I recommend the Baconator Caesar and ribs. Chicken is also good. Fish ok, can pass.

Took the caesar salad, bacon cheddar burger, bang bang shrimp, fifi's mule, and hard root beer. Caesar salad is decent, nothing extraordinary but a good salad nonetheless. Bang bang shrimp are disappointing, mostly tempura and not a lot of shrimp, they come in straight shape, thought it would be popcorn shaped, sauce for the shrimp was alright too. The bacon cheddar burger was good, the fries were crispy and well seasoned. Both drinks, fifi's mule and hard root beer were amazing. I would recommend going here. Service and ambiance was nice.

The vibe and atmosphere at Park is really amazing. I have been here a couple times and I would say that the atmosphere is the best part of this restaurant. If you can, I would recommend sitting on the top floor. The food here is pretty tasty but overall both the drink and food menu is very expensive. I have allergies and I would say it is hit and miss when servers try to accommodate them. Some servers are more rude than others. Overall though, this is a great spot.

I've been here a few times and it is my "go to" place to bring visitors when we have a day trip to Banff, which was exactly why we went this time. We were a small group and we came in for a late lunch in the mid-afternoon. We ate indoors as it was chilly outside, but it the summer there are outdoor seating options available. Park Distillery specializes in distilled spirits (vodka and gin) and as a gastro-pub menu to offer guests. I often end up with a sandwich and fries, as I did this time. The food is consistently good. The service is pretty good, though the signage at the front of the restaurant about where to wait to get seated can be a little confusing. If you wait a server will come to you and get you sorted. The lighting is a bit low inside and those with low vision or visual impairment will want to take care inside, especially since there are steps leading down to the washroom area. Overall, this is a place I keep coming back to and would recommend.

Bistro
Banff’s only vegetarian restaurant offers creative vegan and vegetarian dishes as well as cocktails. The cozy bistro also features a great menu of tapas, mains, soups, salads, and desserts. One dish that is definitely worth trying is the “World Famous Nachos” featuring 27 ingredients that come together to create a delicious hot mess on your plate.
It's always a treat when I stay in Banff to nourish myself at Nourish. The beet juice was the best way to start the meal. Followed by incredible broccoli tempura (gluten free) and the bear burger which was super tasty. Way too much food for just me but definitely the best way to enter into a food coma.

Awesome vegetarian and vegan spot. We came here for lunch after a week of backpacking and absolutely feasted. The food was delicious and portions were generous. The staff were also quite friendly!

Had a lunch at Nourish last weekend and enjoyed a lovely meal on the patio. Great place to have vegan/gluten free options. We enjoyed the nachos with a side of fries. The blueberry lemon cheesecake was a real treat. Our waitress gave us great suggestions and service. It is a great option amongst all of the restaurants in downtown Banff.

Overall a good experience. The ravioli was very delicious and the nachos were not usual but surprisingly delightful. The staff was great. It was pretty pricey but overall a good experience.

The Patio is small, but with many other places busy down the street, we decided to give this place a shot. The staff from the beginning was super friendly moving tables around for us to get our eyes out of the sun, and even cuddled with our dog for a bit :). Followed by amazing food, this place was truly great. I am not normally one to go for vegan choices, but on this warmer day we had, the food was super refreshing and kept us light on our toes for the afternoon walk. We were having such a great time I forgot to take pictures of the food.

I have never been so happy to find a vegetarian restaurant that can accommodate vegan and gluten with still most of the menu available to me!! It was so incredible we order most of the menu the first time and went back a second time and put an even bigger dent in the menu, 3rd trip will be the charm to try everything on the menu!! The atmosphere is next level and even the prices reflect numerology, peace and prosperity. It is my favorite restaurant of all time with everything having been delicious.

My husband and I were looking for quality vegetarian food while in Banff and Nourish Bistro did not disappoint. We had a lovely bruschetta, gyoza, veggie burger and ramen and everything was fresh and well presented. The servers all had a fun outdoorsy vibe and the eclectic interior was perfectly on theme with the Banff aesthetic. Service was efficient and very friendly. I will definitely come back in my next trip!

I loved this place. I was there for Banff marathon and while we are waiting for attendees to finish her run, because I was craving veges, we found this place and it was awesome. I ordered Dont be a fussy salad and it was the best salad I had in my life. Love love loved it 💕I will definitely come back here when I visit Banff again.

We stayed in Canmore during our vacation and didn't visit Banff often because we hated the crowds, but this place was so awesome for a Sunday brunch! Not crowded, excellent service/cocktails/food, INCREDIBLE VIEWS, and it was dog-friendly! We really loved this place! I still often think about the brunch potatoes and cocktails from this place. Yum!!!

We stopped in for lunch. Everything we ordered was delicious including the house made sodas and dessert. While we are not necessarily vegan or vegetarian we found the food to be delicious and very very filling and you can see the care that goes into the preparation of the food. Our server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. I would recommend and will definitely be back sometime.

My heart and tummy are so happy after having a scrumptious brunch here! They were low on staff because of the long weekend but the lady served us so well - and she customized my smoothie, which was just PERFECT in conjunction with the power bowl. Super happy and would highly recommend for everyone to grab a bite here!

WOW! This place is superb. Incredible vegan and vegetarian food in the heart of Banff. Delicious from scratch cooking with rich deep flavour that leaves you feeling so satisfied and nourished. This was the best restaurant I visited on my trip to Banff, Golden and Canmore (including non-veg restaurants! we tried almost everything, the Mac and squeeze gnocchi and King Kong noodles are unmissable!

We tried Sangria and World's Best Nachos. I wouldn't say that they were the world's best, but had toppings which I would never think of . I would suggest to include at least 1 dip in the same price and not charge extra for it. Sangria was really really good. Enjoyed it.

Amazing veggie burgers. In fact one of the best veggie burgers I’ve ever had. They are only a little over priced. 25$ for a veggie burger compared to other places is high but they are really yummy. Great location and a good service.

The quinoa salad was very good ! Big portion with a lot of vegetables (I added tofu, it was a little bit spicy but I don’t regret my choice). The burger was nice too ! Very yummy. But we were disappointed by the noddle salad, it doesn’t really had taste, just greens and pasta…I will not recommend this one, but the rest yes ! We were inside, the music was a little bit too loud maybe, but the waiter was nice. Prices are correct

Great plant based restaurant in Banff. But just because it’s plant based doesn’t mean the food is boring. Amazing sharing options. Soups etc. you have to try the nachos. Topped with everything from strawberries to beans to hot peppers. Very yummy. Great vibe. Friendly staff. Good beer selection. Have been multiple times and would go again.

Overall a great restaurant and love the fact that it is 100% vegetarian. They are very vegan friendly as well. The staff was courteous, warm and welcoming. The food portions i found to be slightly on the smaller side but it tasted amazing. Definitely worth checking it out.

The aesthetic of this place is a bit quirky but the food is amazing. We came here 3 times on our most recent trip and loved the food and drinks. They were also able to accommodate 15 of us for dinner at the same table, which was very appreciated. Almost everything can be made vegan as well. I loved everything I had except for the raspberry chocolate desert tart; which was a bit too bitter to me.

This delicious vegetarian/vegan restaurant immediately became my "go to" choice for lunches while in Banff. It was recommended to me by a local, and for good reason! The food is creative, incredibly tasty, and - well - nourishing. 😊 The service is friendly and personal. Very welcoming. Highly recommend.

Nourish Bistro in Banff is a gem! The interior is amazing, and Caleb and the staff are super helpful. They provide fast service and even divided our ramen for two. The food is visually stunning and tastes amazing. Highly recommended for vegans and vegetarians visiting Banff!

Really good vegan food. Quick and tasteful food options. We went 3 nights in a row since we are in town for a family holiday. Seen some reviews of expensive but it really isn’t for what is available in Banff. Dessert as well was really well done. Will be back again! We also had a stroller for our baby and was never a problem.
