Super dog friendly beach with a big swath of sandy shore. Somewhat away from the main streets of Newquay, making it a good place to check out if you're in the area. My personal favorite is how shallow the beach is, making the beach reach back a good 100 meters at low tide. Good views of the rocky shore and Headland hotel nearby.

Fantastic Beach, we love it here, dog friendly too so that's always a bonus. Lots of lovely coastal walks also, cant wait to go back.

Amazing beach for surfing. Lifeguards work very hard to make sure everyone is safe. Sone nice little shops nearby and a kiosk where you can get drinks and snacks. Beach was clean and pleasant.

Lovely beach and nice places to have a drink or food, from there is a very nice coast path walk as well, so something for everyone.

This is the best beach I've ever been to in the UK, never thought I'd ever spend a whole day at the beach, I was wrong! We had best week for the weather. We found parking on the Fistral Beach car park which is like a 5 min walk to the beach, so many things to for all, Surfers paradise just a day before the boardmasters festival so missed the major crowds and fees. Nice sandy beach with plenty of space for all, sunset to die for a well according to my daughter. We'll definitely come back here again.

Amazing beach, do be careful of the rip tides and current when swimming, I recommend going in land if you are not a confident swimmer. There are rocks on the south side so avoid. But otherwise stunning

Really beautiful beach, sandy beach and really great for dogs. The dogs are welcome all year round. The hold surf competitions as the waves are huge. You can get. Great Cornish pasty! We went in October out of season but it was still super busy so get there early.

Beautiful lifeguarded beach with reasonably priced parking that overlooks the ocean, and all the facilities you could ever need. We got here early morning about 7am as the place was coming alive. Dog walkers, people exercising on the sands and in the surf, and the lucky souls who work here getting ready for a busy day. The sand is immaculate and there was a group of people ensuring that the entire beach was clean, picking up any litter that remained from the previous day, everyone seemed to be bare footed which is a reassuring sign. For those who want to try surfing or body boarding the surf school has everything you need, all the equipment is available to hire. There is a team of dedicated instructors that provide private tuition or you can go along in groups of up to eight, from a beginner to people looking to hone their skills they have it covered. The public toilets are immaculate as are the showers and changing facilities. There is a reasonably priced cafe/restaurant with a great menu, this again overlooks the beach and ocean.

Brilliant beach for surfing and bodyboarding. Clear water and perfect sand. Nice atmosphere with decent facilities for food and showers following the fun on the beach.

This is the small beach where you can do sea sports, you can get restaurants affordable with toilets. Good sandy beaches

Great weather in November. Perfect for surfing if you like it. Massive winds, big waves and not so cold. We were able to walk along the coast with a pushchair which made it even better.

Fantastic beach! My Son spent days surfing. He wouldn't leave if he didn't have to! Spacious, with great access to the swimming accessories shops, food shops/restaurants, and toilets

Fantastic big dog friendly beach, there's a lot of small jellyfish on the beach when I was there in July but didn't seem to be an issue,surf lessons are available as well as lots of food and drink shops, lovely golden sand, fantastic place for surfing and boogie boards with lots of people in the sea all the time.

Amazing beach. If you love surfing, this is your place. There are some surfing classes available near to this beach. Coastal walk is amazing. There's a golf club nearby. Absolutely love this beach.

The busiest beach in Cornwall so far and is dog friendly. Great facilities and of course Lifeguard service. Watching the 🏄‍♂️ is a plus. Parking fees are a little higher than usual but it’s expected in a place like this. Very happy with my day there.

23rd March. Had a lovely family day out. Children loved it. Enough to see and do. I only gave it 4 star as the food vendors were shut and some general maintenance was on going. Accepted as this is still not in season. 1st April _ 31 October you will have to pay for car parking. 4hrs was about £6. Place was very clean. Toilets were spotless. Good range of animals. There were no feeding times on the display but lions were fed about 14:20. Highly recommended. May be very busy in summer though. Price is on par.

Lovely little zoo. We spent the morning there as we had free entry but would of happily paid if we hadn't. It was nice and clean and the staff were very friendly. We enjoyed searching for all the animals and the habitat had been well thought out. Would definitely visit again

During the summer holidays kids can visit free with a paying adult, so we met up with some friends here for a cheap day out. Great for keeping the kids entertained for a few hours but get there early as the queue grows very quickly; I would recommend booking tickets online before you visit. There's also a huge car park outside so easily accessible and the cafe is very reasonably priced but gets very busy.

Came to celebrate my mum's bday. We did the penguin experience. Very expensive for what it was but enjoyable and money goes to a good cause. Despite the weather the children managed to have a good time too. Would recommend coming when it opens for 10am as more animals were out and about then.

Medium sized zoo ,many different animals and birds to see .There is a cafe you can eat ice cream and drink coffee and eat sausage in dough .Also were during the day and very nice and sunny place ..There is free parking and the ticket costs around 16 or 14 Pounds exactly I don't remember how much. I recommend to go there with the kids. Oh ... by the way, there is a gift shop there.🙂

Newquay zoo! No less than amazing, a great day out, friendly staff, clean and tidy environment and above all the animals all looked so well treated. The kids paid alot of attention and my 5 year old son really enjoyed reading the info tags about the animals. Would definitely recommend and would definitely go again.

This summer kids went free, making this a great value day out. The zoo has a great variety of animals, there weren’t any we couldn’t see. The zoo wasn’t overly busy for a summer holiday weekday either.

Great place to visit with the family or friends, lots to see, and plenty of talks and information around the zoo about everything. Parking was easy, and access for disabled people was also good. The price seemed fair and wasn't overpriced like some other places in the area. It took us around 3 hours to get around, but you could spend more time if you want to see more talks. There is a small cafe with various drinks and snacks and also a gift shop, worth a visit if in the area.

Thank you to Leah for doing an amazing job on the Junior keeper zoo work experience. Her knowledge was amazing and it was a brilliant experience. My daughter had a great time. I cannot recommend it enough. Leah, who did the work experience was hugely knowledgeable and so great with my teenager and the entire team was brilliant

Just had a great day out at Newquay Zoo , been on the to do list on holiday for ages . Fantastic arange of animals to see from all over world. Very close encounters. Very friendly staff . Can't wait for a return visit. Didn't get a chance to try the cafe but had a quick look. Alot avaliable, reasonably priced and looked great.

We visited as we were passing by and we have zoo membership for another zoo, so we were able to go for free. Overall it was a good visit, but I'm glad it was free for us to visit as we had done the whole zoo in an hour. All the animals seem well looked after and the staff were very friendly.

Really enjoyed our visit despite some areas being secured off due to avian flu. Loved the tropical area. Good to see animals being rescued, cared for and allowed to breed. Very clean park and easily accessible. Helpful staff and enjoyed talks.

Lovely zoo for a family day out. Lots to see and do. A map would have been handy as there were no maps around the zoo to use to see where you are. Meerkats are a personal favourite. Children enjoyed the play areas.

I don't normally like going to zoos, but this one is different it's all about conservation and saving animals. The animals are well looked after, and their homes are clean. I've never seen a sloth in reality before until I visited, and they have two, although I only managed to see one of them. They don't overcharge for food like other places. I would definitely recommend visiting.

Today me and my mum went to visit Newquay zoo! It was absolutely phenomenal!! It was really amazing, lots of animals to see!! I loved it when I saw the zebras 🦓 and the snowy owls which made me really happy as I love those owls!! 🦉 It was lovely, lots of animals to see and a lovely gift shop selling various toys and there is two good cafes for food! It was brilliant I really enjoyed myself and so did my mum! It's not badly priced either so I'm glad we went on our last day of our little holiday! 🐋🐸🐢🐴🐷 Brilliant location!

We visited this Zoo as we were holidaying in St Ives. The Zoo is wonderful. There are lots of great animals on display who are very well looked after. The grounds are well kept and it looks like there has been a lot of work done recently. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. There is a small cafe and shop on site, which sell reasonably priced items. The cafe has a wide range of food, drinks and snacks. There was also another hut by the Penguins, which was shut when we visited. There are plenty of picnic benches around and I can imagine it to be very busy during peak times. The paths are all smooth and well kept, making pushing a buggy/wheelchair around a breeze. There is a lovely play area by the meerkat and another larger park for over 6s by the African Savannah. A Special shout out to Rhiann, who was one of the keepers, she was absolutely incredible! She did all the talks and was very informative. She also took the time to engage with my 3 year old son, who took an interest in what she was talking about - she was incredibly knowledgeable about all the animals and she made our visit extra special - Thank You !!! ♡ We are Bristol Zoo Project members and were able to visit this Zoo using our membership - which was a very good perk! We will definitely have another visit in the warmer months to see the animals in different weather.

There's lots to see here, even though it's on the smaller side it can easily take up a few hours of the day! There's loads of monkeys, birds and of course the wonderful red panda, amongst zebres 😱 it's perfect for kids as it has a part where you can pet some goats and watch the penguins get fed, saw loads of families there having a great time. Definitely worth a visit if coming to the area.

Brilliant. Visited Monday 29th and had a penguin experience booked. My experience of our visit: Lady at ticket office friendly and delightful. Ladies in the cafe really, really good and the coffee was nice, the chips good but the chicken burger was excellent. Thankyou. The whole place was a delight, although improvement/renovations going on the whole site was clean and staff working with wheelbarrows etc very friendly. Public toilets were of an excellent standard. Thankyou. The lady in reception was superb and the young lady who took the experience was outstanding. I also spoke to a chap in a suit who was clearly in some form of meeting with two others by the Lynx compound and he also was a delight, very helpful. What a team. Whoever is cultivating this team ethic and environment needs congratulating along with the guys (described above) delivering it. A gem of a place.

Absolutely loved it, quite busy but expected for a holiday. Such a nice zoo. The variety of animals was brilliant and there was so much to do for little kids and talks for people interested. I love animals and they all seem brilliantly cared for. We went when raining and there were loads of hiding spots for people and animals😂 The sloth was gorgeous but hard to spot!

Great space. I am so sad for those animals but also glad they are where they are. I spoke to 4 members of the staff and everyone was so lovely, clearly caring with all their hearts for those wonderful creatures. Unfortunately, because I visited during winter a few of the species did not want to come out but that is Nature and the risk you take, not a reflection of the quality of the space. I do feel we need to get rid of that word “zoo”. Thanks for protecting some of the endangered species. There is one thing people with their egos must remember, this planet is NOT YOURS, It is THEIRS. It was before we cane around and it will be after we are all gone. I’d love to become a volunteer and offer a few hours on Saturday to prep and feed the animals while also learning about them all and how I can assist them in making their environment and lives even better. Very healing trip 🙏🏽 Edit: After showing interest in joining the team as a weekend volunteer, the coordinator Connor reached out. I'd say, be careful what you wish for. what a mess! Wasted 40 mins walk and back to hear he had gone, no responses to emails which is so disrespectful. I really hope you are more organised taking care of the animals than you are at the office. As such I have removed the 4 star rating down to a 3. wonderful animals though.

Nice and lots to see,not too big. Good condition, family ticket saved a few pounds! As expected. But kids did enjoy. Kids went through in about 1.5 hours.

I’m not sure where to start… lovely but not brilliant… I’d say about a 6.5/10. Firstly, there isn’t any car parking near the Aquarium but there is a local (but rather expensive & tight) car parking area just a few minutes walk behind the Aquarium. We had to wait probably… 5-10 minutes to get in? Even for a Tuesday, I was surprised that it was as busy as it was with Kids + Parents. Staff where Non-existent (it seemed) and the gentleman at the front desk looked like he’d had enough of his job but still served with a smile on his face. The exhibits + Animals where lovely. However, there’s not a huge amount of ventilation through out the place so it was very ‘muggy’ BUT I can understand that it has to be kept this way to allow certain Aquatic animals to survive. Animals where fine in of itself plus some cute little fishes (see photos). Not quite sure if I’d pay £17 again though for an Adult-standard .. even when booking online just to wait in a small queue.. but then again it’s just me experience 🤷‍♂️

Nice aquarium. The turtle was beautiful and nice to hear about his backstory. I think more could be made of that. People might donate more to turtle charities if you made more of his story. Set out well. Friendly staff. Information about creatures like seahorses that weren't there, which was disappointed. More info about the exhibits would have been good. Thought the toys for the octopus was a nice touch. Very expensive plush toys in the shop.

Same as it was the last time we visited 4 years ago. We enjoyed seeing all of the fish and reading the facts. More interactive features would be fun! Or maybe even a video room where you can learn about the damage is humans are chase . Price was quite high for 2 people (£25) but there isn’t really much else to do in Newquay when the weather is horrendous

It was ok but not sure it was good value for money at just under £50 for family ticket. We were done in an hour tops . I know you can go back later in day but not sure it's worth it. Some good exhibits and large tank good but think some enrichment needed especially for the loggerhead turtle.

A welcome stop on the rain, a bit pricey for the size of it but appreciate it needs money to keep running, enjoyed our visit.

Really enjoyed our visit, we took our 12 week old daughter to see the sea life and she loved looking at the different colours and shapes of the fish and other sea life. Access was good with the pram throughout the exhibition. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great day in Newquay 👍🏻

Worth the visit! Small yet packed aquarium which offers various talks and feeds you can attend even letting you come back later that day. There's a good variety with plenty of different viewing stations including an underwater tunnel, mid tank viewing deck and view from the top of the tank. The staff are very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions at the feed or talks. Would recommend.

Its a small local aquarium, not much going on but a good selection of things. The tanks do however seem to be small for the animals in them. Sadly there is one turtle. I get that he is a rescue, but while I visited he was sitting on the floor of the tank, there is no where for him to get natural sun like the do in wild. He also is alone and only in a fully submerged tank so not accurate reflection of natural settings for a turtle. There were a couple of other tanks with solo animals too so not sure how their quality of life is.

My nine month old seemed to love it. Brilliant sensory experience for her. Myself and my partner enjoyed our time too

Good way to spend 45 minutes/1 hour. Fish and creatures are well cared for and presented well, lots of interesting information around them. The Amazon area in particular was lovely. The sea turtle is the star of the show. We went with the free kids with the paying adults offer. We would not pay the full price to visit. You also have to purchase tickets in advance. No walk ins. The toilets are disgusting. In desperation need of modernization. You smell them before you see them.

A very informative talk about the sealife mammals. A great array of sea creatures too. Really worth a visit,with a superb view outside the aquarium of the coast. There is a cafe there too.

Hadn't visited in many years. Decided to check it out on a stormy day just after Christmas. Very impressed with the displays given the size of the venue. Glad to see the place still running and providing conservation and education on our natural world at a very important time.

Cracking small aquarium that has a fantastic selection of fish and other creatures. Don't be fooled by the outside, once you're in, it is a great place with a good variety of species. This is far from the biggest aquarium we've been to but that certainly pack in bang for buck. The underwater tunnel and large tank with sharks and a loggerhead turtle is brilliant.

Brilliant little Aquarium on the front. Well priced, brilliant for kids also. Loads of different aquatic animals to see and the talks by the staff are very educational. Once you pay to access, you receive a stamp so you can enter throughout the day as often as you like.

The place isn’t big, but if you’re interested in the fish, you can spend there as minimum hour. Check their schedule to see feeding times. Nice staff will tell interesting information about fish. In the end you can visit souvenir shop and get ice cream in the cafe down there.

Bigger than you think. Friendly helpful staff Well stocked shop but give the cafe a miss expensive and not much on offer and staff didn't seem to bothered to help.

We went here for the day during our holidays. Billed as the “secret world of play and trains” it certainly doesn’t disappoint on both. A mixture of steam and diesel trains take you from the car park to the adventure park where further short train rides take you to other various parts of the park. There is history to learn at the mines, a large soft play and dining area which also caters for party hire, car races, pedalo swans, trampolines, mini golf, paddling and walking areas as well as gift shops and cafes. The cost for a family is well worth the amount of time you spend here. In fact the only other thing to pay for is a go kart track which you can take or leave. The prices in the gift shops are actually extremely reasonable. We went during October and the weather was fairly typical for Cornwall in the autumn! There are plenty of areas to shelter but as you would expect most of the activities are out in the open so make sure you bring a mac to enjoy yourself as much as you can! There’s also many areas to eat packed lunches if you don’t wish to eat indoors. The staff and drivers were, on the whole, friendly and helpful and the kids had a great day. So did the adults to be fair!

Two lovely train rides. Great coffee and cake, good lunch, what's not to like, and the weather was good to us as well apart from the heavens opening just as we had gone inside to eat. Brilliant place for children but enough for us oldies to do as well.

We visited Lappa valley during the February half term. Having visited previous years we hadn’t been since the park had its most recent overhaul with the addition of new locomotives, carriages and best of all the Engine shed which houses a brand new soft play area and a cafe. We were genuinely very impressed with everything, we arrived early morning and had coffee and cake whilst the kids played in the soft play for an hour. We later returned for a delicious lunch and although it was very busy the food arrived in good time and was very tasty! There was a good variety of options for kids and adults, we opted for pizza and chips for the kids whilst the us adults had the chicken wrap and a hotdog. We noticed they did a cooked breakfast in the mornings so next time we’ll come hungry as it looked great! Overall the new facilities were top notch and I was particularly impressed with the toilets, perfect for families with little ones. They clearly put a lot of thought into that! The staff of course were lovely too and their enthusiasm was plain to see, especially those that were driving the trains! I couldn’t fault it but having said that all attractions were not open as they do not open fully until the summer so can’t comment on those but I have no doubt it would just make the day even better and longer! We were there 5 hours so you would easily spend an entire day there when everything is open. Credit where credit is due Keith and Sarah have obviously invested so much in making this a top class attraction and no doubt there is more to come. We would recommend a visit here without hesitation and are looking forward to returning ourselves in the summer time! Unfortunately I didn’t take many photos!

Went Tuesday 10th. Wow what a day beautiful sunshine and the place is just gorgeous. Feels really exclusive almost, going by train to the main place. And so much to do there. One guy Evan stood out for me he was so fun and dramatic but meant the kids loved it so much more, everyone working there was lovely though from the lady in the engine shop to the shop keeper. Thanks for a lovely day, will make sure I come back on holiday down here for sure and visit again.

A great day out for younger kids and not just those who like trains. Indoor play is huge, crazy golf and pedalos included and a big play area. Food was very high quality ( but order early as the service can take time). Everything was clean and modern which is not always true at train places

We took out niece and nephew here on a Saturday. It's such a great place.You Park up and buy a ticket you then have a 10 min train ride to get you too the main area.Lots to do especially for young children.Its mainly outside. Although they have recently built a lovely building which has soft play and a great cafe. A couple of things were shut which was down to us visiting in Jan I suspect.A little disappointing. Overall I love this place and would recommend all ages.

Such a lovely nostalgic place to visit. We come back year after year ( sometimes a couple of times a year if we can!) The place has had a recent upgrade and it is really lovely to be able to use their facilities in the new building. Disabled access and separate toilet facilities each with automatic hand-wash, toilet flush and baby changing is a real treat and greatly appreciated. The soft play is brilliant! The ONLY downside when we visited ( and this didn't spoil our day in any way ) was that there were no bins in the cafe area anywhere which meant we couldn't clear our table for the next people to use after us. Possibly a set of trolleys to put your tray or empties on next to a bin would be very helpful and save staff some time and free up tables more quickly at busy times. We popped our rubbish in a bin outside when we left easily enough. I can't fault the place or its staff as far as friendly family run businesses go , it is lovely here. The kids always enjoy themselves there and that makes for happy parents. Keep it up you guys, we'll be back again soon to see Ruby xx

Lovely place to visit for families with kids up to about 12 probably after that might be a bit naff for them. Lots of little trains to ride, a soft play area with separate areas for younger and older kids which is a very good idea and a nature walk too of about 20 minutes each way - mostly level but not super ideal for prams. Decent food and drink in a couple of locations and lots of parking though it's down a very small road so something to be aware of if you're not used to Cornish roads.

We went in the afternoon with no expectations. It was fantastic. You could easily take a picnic and spend all day here with the kids. The trains have loads of space for buggies, there's tons of activities in the park, the restaurant and soft play was a big hit, and there's loads of baby changing and toddler toilet facilities. Can't recommend enough.

Great day out even on a windy/rainy day (like we had!) Our 2 sons loved it, especially the 5 year old! Plenty to do and it was nice and quiet which was probably due to the weather. Everywhere was well maintained and you can see a lot of love goes into it from the people working there. Great food (and portions) too where the soft play was 👍 P.s the driver on the sit on train was a legend!

This was the perfect family day out!! Despite the changeable cornish weather, we all had a fabulous day at Lappa Valley on Sunday! The last time i visited was over 25 years ago, and id forgotten just how great this place is! The staff were fantastic, and even the adults had a great time! Rain or shine, there is something here for everyone! Check out the train times before your visit, and always arrive a bit early! The kids enjoyed soft play, outdoor play, train rides etc and the adults loved the Swan pedalo, mini golf, train rides...the list goes on! This is now going to be an annual visit when our family come to Cornwall each summer! We thought the food was a bit expensive when we ordered, but when it arrived, it was really tasty, with good portion sizes so we can't complain. Thankyou Team Lappa Valley!!

To all the members of staff, thank you so much for a lovely day out. We think Lappa Valley is fantastic. I have mobility issues, and every year we have visited the staff are always so helpful to make my visit as easy as possible. Staff are very friendly, happy and funny, it's nice to see a park where staff enjoy their jobs. Lappa is reasonably priced for entry and it is nice to see a park that doesn't charge you for extra activities once you're there, unlike other parks that charge you extra for mini golf (great fun) or trampoline. We enjoyed a very delicious meal in the engine shed (wow, the burgers and pizzas are amazing) and very naughty ice cream in the play park. Thank you again Lappa Valley. Keep up the amazing work you all do and keep on smiling.

Fantastic gem for a family (Dogs included) day out. Been coming here since I was a little one and now bringing the little people. Facilities are clean and well kept, staff are all friendly & helpful. Plenty to do outside along with a soft play area to shelter from the Cornish drizzle! Highly recommend

Visited with my wife and daughter, what a lovely place. The train rides are great, drivers are enthusiastic and entertaining. The site is amazing with historic buildings, large play areas, indoor play, train rides, a swan lake, crazy golf and more. I would have stayed for longer if the time and weather had allowed. A great day all round and will pop back next time we are down this way.

This was our first time visiting Lappa valley & we can’t wait to come back again! We all absolutely loved it, even with the downpours of rain. I want to say a big thank you to all the staff you were all so helpful and friendly and really made our visit great. The food & coffees were really good in the engine house and it also had good facilities that were clean and tidy. The play areas were great and kept our little ones entertained for ages. All of our favourite part however was the wildlife train ride, it was great & the member of staff was so enthusiastic and made it lovely for the children. Thank you Lappa valley, we’re all looking forward to returning soon again!

Another wonderful day at Lappa Valley. We first came here 6 years ago with my eldest child and have been coming back every year, now with three boys. Everyone was entertained through out the day. Train rides , great playground , crazy golf, swans and soft play it’s a day packed full of fun. We went during the Easter holidays and possibly the only sunny dry day of the week so it was busy . We did have to wait a while to order food but once ordered it came very quickly and was soon eaten by all. Great coffee and cakes. If you want a quicker and quieter lunch the cafe nearer the playground tends to be quieter. What’s also lovely to see is money being put back into the trains and area keeping it looking fresh and always improving.

Amazing loads of upgrades to the site! Kids loved it! The train is fun for all the family! Brilliant Food!

Lovely big beach, especially when the tide is out, plenty of facilities, ideal for families, only visited out of season, but I would think it could get very busy at peak holiday times

Well worth a visit place. Beach is nice and is a great starting point to go along the coast on to Whipsiderry beach through the gap and under the footbridge on to Porth Island and that finish at the large Watergate beach _ nice surfing place.

Exactly Beach ⛱️. Family friendly beach . Car park is nearby. Nice view, clean water and sandy beach . Kids love it . There are coffee shop, bar just at the edge of beach.

Lovely sandy beach, huge rock pools with plenty of life. Perfect for children to go on little adventure to explore and do a little fun learning.

Can't put into words how much this beach means to me. I'm 38 and I've been going since the age of 3. It reminds me of so much. Camping with my family, walking along the beach with my father (who has now sadly passed away ). Building sand castles and thousands of other things from my childhood. Sadly I hadnt been able to visit for nearly 10 years until this year and nothing has changed. It has such character, it's reasonably quiet, the waves and water are amazing. Simply gorgeous 🥰🥰

Good sandy beach, toilets available, good walks up on the cliffs to Porth Island.

One of the best beaches in town my friends :) and I am serious ! Beautiful sand , big space , incredible surrounding and beautiful sunset . I regret that there is not much left from historical monuments like iron bridge and old shipyard . Being there wants you to experience this history and you know that something is missing and maybe you would like to travel in time to see how it was then .

Beautiful amazing family friendly beach. Water is very salty. When the tide is out you can have a lovely walk across the beach. When the tides in you get some awesome waves. There are lifeguards on duty.

Beautiful beach, make sure you are the right side of the beach as crossing the water half way down gets you very wet. Dogs allowed after 6pm which was lovely to see.

Fabulous beach. Great for children to paddle and swim when the tide is in as it’s very shallow. Beach is lovely and clean, no dogs allowed between May and Sept until after 6pm.

Wonderful walks with the best views found anywhere in the Cornish area. The beach is beautiful with lots of things to keep the kids happy. Parking not too bad but in the holidays it is not easy to find a place.

I love this beach. It is a fantastic place to take the family. The sea is way out during low tide and during high tide there is a huge area that is still 'safe' for children to use. The water is turquoise and just asking for you to jump in. Great for SUP and Kayak, but not suitable for Surfing. Dogs are not officially allowed on the beach.

What a beautiful place! The gardens are stunning and the house is lovely. It has some absolutely stunning paintings and some very old ones. Very impressed with the younger lady that chatted to us in the bedroom, makes a lovely change to have someone cheerful and friendly.

The road to the car park is one way, and I can imagine it gets quite crowded in the summer. It's a small house, with a cafe and a shop. You could get around in a couple of hours because the grounds aren't extensive at all, either. The staff and volunteers were wonderful, friendly, and very informative. As we visited during Easter, there were also a lot of activities for children in the grounds.

Best time we have been to this wonderful Grade I Listed house. The gardens, although not extensive are beautiful and the house is very interesting with some wonderful architectural details. The cafe is great for a quick snack and the coffee was first class.

Really nice place. Well maintained & very knowledgeable staff. It is good to see old places being looked after & invested in for the future. It is easy to forget the hard work that goes into the exterior & the gardens who are very knowledgeable & make the setting for the house. The helpful staff make the visit more pleasant so well done all.

Brilliant day out. Loads of fun things to do for all the family. Nice cafe, lovely book store and the kids loved dressing up.

My daughter and I visited here for my birthday, we had a picnic in the carpark surrounded by trees and fields. The house is lovely more cozy than some National Trust properties, made you feel you could live there!! We had a takeaway coffee so we could amble about the gardens after. The sun wasn't out but its very pretty there anyway so didn't matter. A great place to visit.

It’s quite small which for me was part of its beauty. The lavender garden was out of this world. I’ve never seen so many bees. Amazing. Brass rubbing where you can take away your own creation was superb.

A nice National Trust location to visit with a good barn cafe out the back and gardens to sit and take it all in (or lawn games). Only giving 4 stars due to comparable National Trust locations. Spent a couple hours mainly in the gardens with the house a little underwhelming. Worth the visit if you’re around and have a membership

Lots of history and information about the landowner family. Very homely. Games to play outside and dress up, indoor games and brass rubbing for children in the hay loft although I had a go at the brass rubbing myself. Suggested £1 donation for materials. Usual cafe and shop. Lovely views from the top of the bank.

A lovely morning out, the staff were super friendly and informative. The grounds were beautiful and well kept, and the house was full of things to see and read. There were free lockers to keep our bags safe and saved us from having to carry them around. The gift shop was great to look through and the food in the cafe was lovely! Especially the cakes 😋 We also found the little second-hand book shop tucked away.

Trerice is a lovely National Trust property, smaller than most but really nice all the same. Great Christmas decorations!

A lovely small historic house. The room guides are very friendly and knowledgeable. Gardens were looking gorgeous, and we enjoyed trying the games and dressing up , even though the youngest in our party is 52!

This is a small National Trust property really, but it certainly didn't disappoint, it had lovely Gardens and the house was quite filled inside as I'm sure they told me it was new to being taken over by the National Trust, I have been in some houses and they are nearly empty. Free for National Trust members and free parking here, there is an on site cafe and gift shop. This site is down some country Cornwall roads so quite narrow and one direction you go over a Ford to get to it, I got to this point and thought the road had ended but luckily a local chap was there and told me to cross.

We had a fantastic time at Dairyland today. My little girl loved seeing Santa and got a lovely gift as part of the experience. There was lots to do and we could have easily spent the day there. There were beautiful fire pits to toast marshmallows outside which was a nice touch. The Elf workshop with Christmas crafts was fun, with lots of choice of activities. We enjoyed seeing the animals and chatting to a member of staff who works there who was very friendly and knowledgeable. The soft play was a hit, great spot to burn energy and warm up as it was a cold day.

Amazing. Wish we'd found this place sooner in our holiday as you get 7 consecutive days free entry with the tickets. Our little one thought the parks and indoor play were best. Her favourite being the little diggers in the sand. But she got to experience bottle feeding a lamb and calf which was amazing. The pat a pet was great to interact with other animals. Unfortunately she didn't want to do the pony ride, but the option is there for others. There's also a build a bear workshop on site for that added extra before you leave. Was generally a brilliant day out. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Absolutely brilliant! Excellent value for money and so much to do! Excellent customer service today from a lady in the restaurant and the guy in the gift shop this evening. Had a great day out and the Teddy bear picnic was amazing. Thanks for a brilliant day out will 100% be back very soon !

Great family fun for under 10's Pony rides . Tractor rides. Plenty opportunities to feed or pet the animals. Sandpits and playgroups also an indoor soft play and wheelie Park for rainy days. A cafe and picnic area . All well maintained. Paid almost £30 for 1 adult and 1 3yr old but this did give me the option to return for free. Loved every minute ❤️

Beautiful and very informative park. Best for a full family visit. You can spend the whole day and it’s really worth for your kids. I would like to mention the museum set up. Their collection is really amazing and really helpful to know about the day to day life of people in the 1800’s and early 1900’s. Lots of parking available on premise. Have nice cafeterias.

An amazing place to visit with the little ones, loads to do outdoors and indoors. The staff are all super friendly and are always happy to help. My little boy had such a great time here we visited twice during our holiday. Will definitely visit again some day.

What a lovely place to visit! Well worth the entry fee, which can be used for up to 7 days so you can pop back if you fancied. Staff we encountered were all incredibly friendly, not just to myself but also my 2 and 7 year old. Cafe had a lovely range of food, I had a simple cheese and ham sandwich which was freshly made, with crisps and a lovely fresh salad. Lots of other things on the menu, hot and cold. Childrens lunchboxes had a real good variety to choose from. Lots to do during the visit which you're encouraged to take a photo of the timetable, this really helped, we took full advantage. You do need to pay a small fee for the pony rides, the duck food and the tractor ride, but again well worth it.

An enjoyable day out even if some of the amenities are dated (mainly the toilet block). My 8 month old son enjoyed checking out the animals and a bounce in my arms on the trampolines. And my 3 year old niece loved all the sand pits! The food in the Farmhouse Kitchen was lovely too, and at very good prices also. We will probably return once our little one is a little bigger and can enjoy the farm more. All the staff are super helpful and friendly too which is always a bonus!

We've been going on & off for years with the kids. Even though they're a bit older, at least one still enjoys it. I think it might be because they keep trying something new. I'm sure we will keep going for a while yet.

It was a great day out with my 4yr old grandaughter...there is eateries there but I wish we had taken a picnic as only a small choice of food, also not alot of indoor seating especially in the soft play area, but had a wonderful time. If you book the tickets on their website you get to return for free for 7 days

We took the Grand children to see Santa we've also been to scaryland at Halloween and each time the expirence has been amazing well done to everyone

Absolutely loved this place! Staff were all super nice. Lots of farm animals to see and also meerkats. Lots of activities, and some unusual ones that I haven't seen before like the ball blaster barn. We bottle fed some animals which was super cute for the children. They loved it! Pony rides was the highlight for our 2 year old daughter. She was obsessed. The lady who was doing the pony rides was super child friendly and just a real nice person. She had black hair and green wellies. The food in the cafe was at a good price mark and was good quality. The soft play was super fun with some slides for the older kids. My 11 year old loves those. Everything was faultless. An amazing day! And free entry for 7 days after is amazing as we went back just for another pony ride!

We came here for the day while we were in Cornwall. It really is worth visiting, there is lots to see from old fashioned machinery and mock ups of how things used to look. My little boy enjoyed petting the animals and the staff are lovely and keen to chat and give information. The soft play centre was a hit too though I chickened out and don’t go down the death slide 🤣 it rained the day we were there so there were no pony rides but it didn’t detract from us having a lovely day. The food and drinks were good value and delicious too. Highly recommended

The building itself fantastic! The themes and written stories were incredible. However we felt the crazy golf was a bit short. The dark experience was brilliant! The cost for us was £41.40 for about half an hour which we feel was very expensive. The £11.50 charge per adult is way too high. We do applaud you for the work you have done, just feel you need to address the charges to make it more affordable for families.

Great adventure golf. Probably the best I've been too. Great for a rainy day. Definitely book in advance as tickets will sell out fast if rain is due. Allow an hour to go around. Paid car park opposite or free on the road but limited spaces.

A last minute find for an overcast day to keep the family entertained. We wasn't disappointed. Loved the option of scary or safe routes! Really great set up !

This is a very well put together attraction, good fun (for an hour or so) if the weather isn’t great. Be sure to take the route to Davy Jones’ Locker when the time comes!

Great fun, we loved the secret, scary path that made the balls and clubs light up allouminous and very dark. There were no queues so it was nice.

Kids really enjoyed this, it’s a really well looked after adventure golf course. Visitors are spaced out really well and you felt you could take your time. Lots of interesting posters around, telling the pirate stories. 12 holes to get through. Good value for money I thought.

Great experience, friendly welcome and a great hour indoors with bad weather. The course was awsome with some nice diversions for the spooky path and information as to go round. The best part is the roaming pirate who was amazing and made the session in my opinion. It is definitely worth a visit and a great price.

Looking for something to do on a wet day or to keep you cool in the heat of the summer. We visited for the se and time this year. And our kids loved it Staff are fantastic, and there no rush to get you through the course. Good value for money and well worth a visit

Small aviation museum with quite a lot of exhibits. Real hands on place as you can get into several aircraft. Very knowledgeable staff, some who used to fly the aircraft.

Amazing place for aviation enthusiasts - get there whilst you still can (due to close soon due to council decision). Spent a good few hours here, lots of planes to see, take pictures of and even get into. Staff were super friendly and really informative, many of them having worked on or with the planes in their forces careers. Very dog friendly, just not allowed inside the planes but able to go everywhere else. Café sold tasty, reasonably priced food and drink.

Really good museum - we enjoyed every minute of the trip here. The exhibitions are excellent. You can enter certain planes - sit in the cockpits and the back of the plane. Definitely recommend a visit here!

Great place to visit if you like vintage aircraft. We went day after the summer bank holiday, beaches were probably swarming! It's not very big but you get right up against the planes and can even get in a good number of them. There is probably around 15:planes plus some other bits, a good cafe and picnic benches outside, little gift shop. Very easy and free parking. You'd spent 2-3 hours comfortably and it's really chilled and quiet. All the staff are super friendly especially the funny lady.in the cafe!!

Went without any expectaions and had a great time, the exibits were varied and you are able to get into some of the cockpits which is a brilliant experience for the children and adults alike. The volunteers made it even more special, much appreciation for their time and friendliness. Will definitely go back there when in Cornwall.

Second time visit. Lovely place with some great exhibits. Good gift shop and a lovely cafe. Volunteer guides are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic but... It would be nice to wait to be approached by a couple of the older ones instead of having your ear chewed off whether you wanted it or not. Some of the visitors are also very knowledgeable.

Interesting visit, the knowledge of the staff here is excellent as they have trained on some of the aircraft. Good for children as they can climb into some of the aircraft. At the time of writing the place is under threat of closure. I hope it does not, as it would be a great loss.

It's sad the attraction was closed down by the Council. Thanks to all the volunteers for your dedication to making this a welcoming visit. Great for all the knowledge and history behind each exibites and to be able to see each one in a well looked after condition.

This is a superb heritage centre, and has a great collection of classic British aircraft, aviation related artifacts and countless models. A large number of the aircraft are accessible for the public to enter or to sit in the cockpit, e.g. the famous Harrier GR3 'Jump-Jet'. The army of volunteers who make the place tick are nothing but friendly, knowledgeable and extremely passionate about why they are there and involved. The cafe is excellent, drinks, nice hot pasties and cakes etc, and there's a shop too, books, models and pictures amongst the items being sold. It's not just about people seeing the aircraft, it's a place of learning, educating those who want to know more about aircraft. Considering that this is apparently Cornwall's number 4 Tourist Attraction, the sad thing is, at time of review it's due to close down on the 31st Oct. due to Cornwall County Council withdrawing the Centre's lease. What an absolute travesty and very short-sighted for the reasons given!!! 765 people visited today, which shows how popular it is. The aircraft and items within will potentially be lost and that would be reprehensible to say the least. I hope a solution is found as this Centre deserves to remain. Thank you team, my fingers are crossed.

Although this place isn't massive it's certainly worth a visit. There are a fair few planes and some u can go into or sit in cockpits. There is a very large amount of model aircraft on display too so definitely worth a visit

Shame it's closing down as this is part of our history BUT thought it was a bit pricy for what it was. Good you could go in some of the planes but when you are trying to walk around and look with someone chatting on about stuff when your not really an enthusiast and a 2.5 year old doesn't want to stand and listen to the boring speel only explore with an adult to get told to wait, think maybe if they walked and talked we wouldn't of had to cut our visit short. I do hope though that they find homes for these planes and they are not scrapped.

We spend our mini honeymoon there on the platinum jubilee bank holiday While we were there there was a power cut from a railroad work so our breakfast was cancelled but we got lunch instead complimentary of course Wonderful helpful stuff and great breakfast. We had such an amazing time Highly recommend. Definitely will come back

Only stayed for one night, but it was superb. Had room with hottub which was fantastic. Had dinner in the colonial which was faultless. Superb food and brilliant service from there excellent staff. Lovely breakfast again faultless preparation and service. Such a lovely place and such warm and friendly staff throughout the site, from maintenance, housekeeping, reception through all the staff in the colonial and wedge. Excellent.

A lovely escape, this piece of paradise is worth a visit. Please remember to take refreshments, there aren't any available at the garden. £5 entry for an adult is very reasonable. It's not really suitable for young children. Most of the garden is accessible buy wheelchair.

An interesting place, that does not achieve its purpose very well. Fairly small and packed with a fair amount of Japanese planting, some very nice Acers and wacky Bamboo. Items for sales are largely poor, and they don’t sell books on Bonsai. Odd. Pleasant enough people, it has great potential if it was run better.

I enjoyed the place & it was easy to find with reasonable entrance fees. I liked that there were a lot of items that you could purchase & there is a sense of tranquility in the garden. I didn't see any Koi carp which was a shame & I went in a month when the flowers hadn't fully blossomed so I guess it wasn't the full experience it could have been if I'd waited a few months. Overall, well worth a visit & I'd return if it was a local place to me. Its only small & there aren't toilets there but it's still definitely worth the drive to this place because there is nothing of a similar nature anywhere else.

It's only a small place, but lots of plants and statue/figures to see. Very beautiful and tranquil. We visited a couple of weeks ago and there were beautiful colours. Would love to visit again in spring time when the garden starts to wake up

Tranquil little spot, perfect to sit and relax. The environment they have created here is beautiful all times of year, well worth the money. One of the best places to visit in Cornwall. Friendly staff. Fairly well maintained public toilets just around the corner.

Beautiful little place to visit, free parking, nice little shop if you want to buy Bonsai trees or some properly tuned wind chimes. Worth the fiver ( entrance fee ). Place sit and have a picnic if you wish. Public toilets within a minute walk.

What a beautiful place, so glad that we drove past it and stopped. Probably the most tranquil gardens I have visited, and certainly the most inspiring, and peaceful Japanese Pond with Koi I’ve seen. A real inspiration of a garden, and expertly looked after and cared for. Very good value too

Beautiful Japanese Garden - very tranquil, and a lovely place to while away an hour or so. There is a leaflet available which gives you some information about the garden, but I would have loved to have seen little placards dotted around identifying the various plants. There’s also a little gift shop where you can buy various teas, plants and ornaments. Definitely worth a visit.

Small but exquisite garden. So many details to draw you in, you can keep going round and round noticing new beautiful things. A very calming and uplifting experience.

Beautiful fully accessible garden of peace and tranquility. First time visited and will definitely return to see the changes throughout the season. Free parking. No refreshments or toilets on site but not a problem as a 2 minute walk takes you to clean public toilets and a choice of shop cafe/tea rooms and a pub.

A real place of Zen! I loved sitting in the multitude of benches dotted around the gardens, often accompanied by wind chimes. I spent a while sat in silence at the Zen Garden which was being raked at the time. Really enjoyed the trickling of the waterfall and watching the Koi swimming in the pond. A stunning place to visit and have a wind down. Will definitely be visiting again and kind of wish they did a locals / return pass. I also bought myself a couple of small Japanese Maple trees in the hope of creating my own Bonsai trees. Kind and friendly team, a real pleasure to visit!

Easy access, no steep paths. Plenty of benches around gardens. Lots of plants,pots and gifts on site to buy. No cafe or toilets BUT they're within 3 to 5 minutes walk away. Places locally such as church, tea rooms and pub.

If you are in the area, this is a must visit. For the £5 entry it's an absolute bargain. The care and attention that has been put into the garden is stunning, and if you do buy a bonsi tree, you will see the passion the they have for everything they do here

Absolutely beautiful. The autumn colours from the Acer's were gorgeous. Such a treat to spend time here, it's so tranquil. My little boy absolutely loved it, there are lots of interesting little twists and turns and great plants. The little shop is fab and has some really great bits. Got our first bonsai tree and the guy was really knowledgeable and gave us lots of tips on looking after it. Honestly preferred it to the eden project !!! If I lived near by I'd be here all the time.

A magical place! It did need a little more caring for, but putting that to one side, the overall feel was wonderful. I will definitely visit early next year with the change of the season. The staff were friendly and helpful. The village was also a little delight.

Excellent beautiful gardens peaceful tranquil and a delightful shop on site. The trees are just getting autumnal colour stunning. In village a wonderful tearoom serving delicious home made food which itself has a pretty garden.

incredible atmosphere, the garden is so beautiful with so much to explore. well worth the visit and only costs you £5 per ticket! the gift shop was well priced and the staff member on at the time was more than happy to help us with any questions we had about the culture!

Honestly no complaints about this place, everything was clean and so easy to get booked it for relatively cheap too with tickets being in the 8-9 pound range. The slides are so much fun and the pool was nice and warm with plenty of space. I did however find that some of the lockers were broken but apart from that it was so nice and I will definitely be returning!

Brilliant little pool to take small people for a swim. Clean and tidy. Staff were really friendly and it felt safe with so many life guards.

Great experience, we booked as non residents staying outside of the resort for a rainy day. 3 & 5 year old loved it, would be good to have some more smaller slides for toddlers but great fun had by all 😊

Went with daughter and grandchildren to Oasis.. Great fun pool with 3 flumes and a river rapid ride.. fountains.. giant tap.. we all had a great time.. not overly crowded.. kept to a comfortable amount of people in pool.. also a toddler pool.. would recommend

My girls (8 & 9) have the pool 4 stars because they had to take their goggles off on the rapids!.. Not really sure why. But the place is nice and clean (which is quite rare for a popular pool of this kind). Must book in advance

Lovely pool and good for a rainy day. Small baby pool which is nice and warm, although main pool isn't too cold either. A few slides and a small lazy river area. There's an outdoor area but didn't use this due to the weather.

This swimming pool is exceptionally impressive and significantly superior to other nearby alternatives. The water temperature was ideal, and the management of the slides and river run was commendable, with an ample number of staff members present to ensure safety and supervision. It is worth noting that the lockers are relatively small, and the limited supply of family-sized lockers tends to be quickly depleted. Considering the family-oriented nature of the pool, it would be advisable to install more of these larger lockers. Additionally, if you require more than one locker, it is essential to bring a one-pound coin, as they do not provide change but will sell you a plastic token instead. While the lockers are refundable, retaining the blue token as a keepsake can be an unnecessary expense.

Drove from St Austell as a local as having checked online on their website before going they were happy to tell us about their new locals pass but I failed to notice you needed to book. I've not been since before the pandemic. I do feel you could make it more prominent that advance booking is required. Normally this place is a brilliant place for the kids to let off some energy.

Not that's great, brought my son for his birthday, he was allowed on one slide, that he didn't like because he went underwater, the toddler slide is going to cause a child to break a leg one day as its far too shallow. Was still good for the price of £9.50 an adult

Lush few hours, hour or so in the pools with the slides, then had lunch, visited the amusements after we got a huge fancy ice cream! Great spot with the kids! Will definitely be back again soon!

Lovely clean family changing rooms, hot showers. Pool area with loungers, great fun had on flumes, not too busy. We booked online as we were not staying on site.

Great fun for the kids in a really beautiful kept site. Kept my little one’s entertained for a good couple of hours.

We visited as non residents staying locally with family and really enjoyed our family swim. Nice warm baby pool and fun flumes. Nice and clean facilities. Outdoor pool looked nice so will be returning in future. Lovely looking site. More floats for flumes, seating, baby play pens would be handy for toddlers pool side and more poolside greenery to make it less sterile.

Great fun , slides are great, plenty of lifeguards and friendly service not to mention a warm pool lots of fun and have been returning for years. Highly recommend

We visited as non residents and both really enjoyed it 😀 tickets were about £8.75 each I think for about one and half hours, we just turned up and luckily they weren't full. Car park is a bit small and difficult to find a space. Water temperature was lovely for a rainy October. Had to queue to get a ring for the slide as most people kept hold of theirs but didn't wait too long. Rapids were great fun, it gets faster and faster. It surprised me how fast it went and I found my head under the water, so kept my feet down the rest of the time. Would definitely go again.

If you have kids that can swim, great fun, but 3 slides, only one suitable if you're able to go down it with your child on your lap, even tiny lazy river not armband friendly, so almost £30 just to swim in the pool did not really work out well for us, and you only get 1hr 20 mins not great value in my opinion. Our son suffers with Autism so shame he could not enjoy any of the attractions.

It was pouring down with rain when we visited but we still had a lovely time. Some great cafes overlooking the beach and we went to a couple for drinks. One had picnic benches on the beach, which was perfect for watching the kids play in the sand. There is a great shop too just over the road with gorgeous gifts, clothes, bucket and spades and toys/games for kids. We really enjoyed our afternoon out here and would definitely visit again.

Absolutely brilliant beach, great for the kids, plus plenty of really good food and drink vendors around so you never have to go hungry or thirsty. Recommended!

Free parking & the dog loved the beach.

Beautiful beach! First time coming here and if you’re staying at the campsite it is a short walk (down the rocks) straight onto the beach. In the summer dogs are restricted to going up until 10am and after 6pm (and in the heat it works well!). If you follow the costal path, the views of the beach are lovely too

Good beach & surf. Can be very crowded in summer peak times. Recently has lost a lot of it's rough & ready charms through influx of property money. Avoid in the first week of public-school summer holidays as deeply unpleasant behaviours and attitudes often on display. Wonderful sunsets often.

The best beach in the world, safe, clean, family friendly. It is brilliant for surfing, swimming, stand up paddleboard users, sea kayaks, paddling. Walkers, sand castle builders, rock poolers, cricket on the beach, food and drink and just chilling watching the waves.

Very beautiful beach .it's two part the other part which is on the back of huge stones in the beach is just amazing .one of the most beautiful beach I ever seen . I really enjoyed seeing sunset there.

Beautiful beach , great for surfing or Bodyboarding ,plenty of amenities , dog friendly out of season but restrictions during peak season, very popular so can get very busy during holiday times.

This beach is so beautiful. It is surrounded with rocky walls. There are many restaurants and shops around it. Lots of parking space all sides. Some are free. Many options for snacks and street food. Very popular for surfing. I swam in the water in July. Was cold but still possible. I enjoyed it a lot.

What a beautiful hidden gem this place is. We came to watch the sunset last night and loved it so much we returned again tonight. Tonight we opted to have pizza and were served by a lovely Northern bloke. The pizza was simply delicious and cheaper than a standard pizza from a local take away. If you're looking for an evening snack whilst watching the sunset, away from the hustle and bustle, this is the perfect spot.

Visited this beach from another holiday park, it was honestly stunning. With a huge beach and little caves to explore on both sides this is perfect for a good couple hours of adventuring! Parking up top is around £4 for 2 hours which is more than enough for a quick scout round both sides of the caves and beach.

We viewed here as a wedding venue, Lauren went above and beyond to explain all details and make us feel welcome. Can’t wait to potentially have our big day here! I was recommended the lusty Glaze restaurant by family members so we decided to go and have Sunday Lunch for my birthday. It felt like we had the beach to ourselves before heading into the restaurant itself. The staff could not have been nicer! The food was out of this world, I had the Pork roast and my boyfriend had the Wagyu burger and said it was one of the best burgers he's had. Special shout out to Naomi who was incredibly friendly and chatty and Reese who went above and beyond to make my birthday special We will be recommending Lusty Glaze to everyone we know and will return!

Well, where can I start ! We had our wedding here last week and all I can say is if you are contemplating booking your dream wedding in Cornwall, then you really must book it here at lusty glaze. The venue is something else, all of our guest have since said it was the nicest and most magical venue they have ever been to for a wedding The staff are by far the most kind , caring , passionate and helpful staff I have come across. The wedding coordinators are always there to help every step of the way. I know I asked them so many questions time and time again and they were so patient and knowledgeable. The food was spot on! Just perfect ! It was clean , everything has been well thought out. It is worth every single penny. I couldn't of wished for a better place to have been married ! Thanks so much to all at lusty !

Private beach. Car park is quite expensive but worth it. Visited in October and we were blessed with beautiful weather and it was quiet. Got two coffees and sat and appreciated the beautiful scenery. Guy in the kiosk was very friendly. A wonderful find. Would be amazing for a wedding although steep steps so not ideal if you are disabled or struggle. Ideal for surfing or just relaxing. Lovely inside area.

We are using the beautiful beach here, there is accommodation here but we have no details. The beach is lovely and the food and atmosphere are great, with friendly staff. You can hire jet skis here which looks fun. There are a lot of steps down to and back up from the beach, so check them out first.

I had a weekend booked in & upon arrival we noticed few issues with property such as lamp leg were loose & kept falling down. As we had kids I moved the lamp to the next room to avoid any damages. Tv did not work. WI-FI not available. YouTube doesn’t work. Contacted the house keeping but no answered. She called me back next day & advised she will get someone to sort it out but never heard anything from anyone. Apart from nice view all the dishes were dirty not cleaned previously. Heating never worked. As it was freezing we turned heating to full but all rooms were freezing & only 1 blanket available. Avoid this property at all costs. Spend your money somewhere else.

Beautiful amazing, beach 🏝️ Came here for the first time, to attend the Ibiza club classics, sundowner session 2023! Staff helpful & friendly The party, the stage the drinks & the 🎶 music was all amazing! Will be attending again next year but will be back again soon as this is now my favourite beach in the Uk 🇬🇧

We stumbled across this place when I was searching online for beaches to visit while on our stay nearby and I’m so glad I did. We went to one of their Sundowner Sessions, where we got to watch the sunset, enjoy some drinks and a pizza, with a local singer performing, all inside the most beautiful little cove. It was honestly a perfect night. Be warned though, it’s not easily accessible and is down a very steep flight of longs steps and you then need to walk back up them. The pay and display car park is also quite expensive. But I wouldn’t let this put you off and next time we return to Cornwall, we’ll also be making sure we visit here again.

Very Poor! We wanted to have a drink and a lunch after a long walk in the sun on a very hot day. According to the Homepage the Restaurant was open. No indication of closure on the sign at the parking lot. After going down the very steep stairs we were told the place was closed, there was only one counter to the beach and we could buy something to drink and sit in the sun. The doors to the restaurant were open and it was totally empty. I told the waitress we did a long walk to come to this place and we could not sit in the sun because we had an elderly person with us who is exhausted. We asked permission at least have a drink in the restaurant in the shade. The waitress made a phone call to the manager a he said NO. The whole place inside was totally emtpy, there was nobody to disturb, we would have bought our drinks outside, no one would have had extra work with us. They didn't allow to rest in the shade. We had to take the steep stairs back up again. I don't know what idea of gastronomy these people have, but that's about the worst thing that has happened to me in years. Never ever again!

This is really sweet and pretty beach in New Quay. Its quite small and thus has a nice private feeling to it. The sand on the beach is very clean. There are also couple of restaurants on the beach, serving good food and drinks. It is an ideal place to spend a chill afternoon, and can also carry a disk or football along if interested in playing. The beach also serves as a wedding venue and has facilities for having a nice wedding on the beach.

Lovely beach and good live music. The fireworks night event is definitely worth going to also. Can be a bit of a trek down the steps to the beach from where you park if it's busy though

Been here a few times, the last one for a weekend wedding. Absolutely brilliant. Really nice space to spend time. As one would expect of it's location there are some limitations on food and drinks but what is available is to a high standard and served with a smile. Really enjoyed both visits here and definitely on the list of we go back to Newquay.

Another stunning beach. Visited a few times on our own and with the grandkids. Amazing caves to explore, kids loved the sand dunes and enjoyed playing in the river when the tide was too far out. A bit of a walk from the car park but definitely worth it.

The beach in Hollywell Bay is out of this world, it's so beautiful! Pictures really don't do this place justice

Very good beach which requires a little walk from the car parks, either over or around the dunes. Does have a surf school there with little cafe.

With this in mind myself and the wife went back as we were based nearby and planned a day on the beach. The main car park is National Trust so as members parking was free for the day 👍 and it was a short walk to the beach from there. It was a glorious sunny day, however, like most coastal places it was rather breezy, and in late April still had a chill to it. It's still an immaculate beach, but still has no facilities unless you're back in the village. For us it's one of our favourite places in Cornwall, and a beautiful beach with a good stretch of sand. Great place to spend the day, but take a windbreak/beach tent and some food and drink and you'll be set. There is a pub/coffee shop between the beach and the car park that has a garden with seating as well. Sadly, as you can see in one of my photos, the Holywell Bay Store is now closed 😔 which is a shame as the building looked so sad when we returned. We'll always recommend Holywell Bay beach as it remains one of our favourites.

Great beach, really great for dogs. Bit of a walk from the carpark but once you're across the road the dogs can run on the grass/sand and paddle in the fresh water stream and then get to.play on the beach! Still loads of room at high tide.

Great little beach with amazing sand dunes, walks and area of exploration. The walk from the car park to the beach is pretty long. The toilet location is near the car park so I would recommend visiting the loo before going sea. Food can be purchased near the car park, so again grab food from here before heading to the beach (unless you have a packed lunch).

Beautiful beach and extensive space to walk, absolutely stunning space! Plenty of space for car parking in the nearby National trust car park and very easy to get to. The rocks and caves are truly magnificent and definitely worth a visit if you want a quieter beach.

Our favourite beach in Cornwall, this has to be the most stunning. The sand is gorgeous and the beach never ending. The sunset is one of the best in Cornwall! There’s a small river that runs through the beach which is great for small kids to play in away from the main sea. Nice and shallow. Sand dunes to one side and a mini mountain on the other - can get spectacular views of the bay. Parking easily available at the national trust car park, £8 all day. Some internet signal available on the higher ground. An ice cream van is present most of the day.

Just beautiful. There is a safe stream for children to play in. There are toilets in the village but that is a 5-10 minute walk. The car park gets full very quickly in high season if the weather is good.
