The hotel is located in the middle of the old town and garage parking is available. The hotel is clean and staffing was very friendly. The rooms were a bid dark. Some improvement could be done to give it a brighter and friendlier touch. Also a coffee machine and a bottle of water in the room would have been nice.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever been in. The design of the rooms, lobby and restaurant is stunning. Extremely friendly staff, showed us the best route through the city and answered all our questions. Breakfast was delicious and varied and the restaurant is excellent. Location is also really good, amazing views. It’s right next to the archives and the beautiful city wall. It was a flawless stay.

This hotel is close to town, and walking distance to everything. The view from our room was incredible, and the windows opening was a plus. The curtains served their purpose (thankfully as there is a beautiful wall of windows. The hotel has been somewhat updated, with a few original pieces remaining. Bring your USB chargers as they’re not in the wall. The staff were incredibly kind.

So noisy - there's a school nearby. No air conditioning when we were there - not sure if it's only available in summer season. To take a nap had to choose from hot or noisy! Nice small rooms, though! They have a nice rooftop bar, although just checked out the views!

Seems rather empty and the staff was anxious to take great care of us. Beds wonderful, view nice, room very clean, shampoo, bath gel, hand soap nice quality in largish refillable bottles. Elevators confusing but fine. Our fridge didn't work & they brought another. Interesting that on the street, recycling is everywhere, but in hotel, not possible. Big fluffy towels. Location was close to many things but on edge of old Town so was quiet.

Great hotel. Cant fault the staff in anyway. Parking is great as they have valet parking and produces the car every morning before I went to work. The quality of the restaurant's food is impeccable. The room was the perfect size for me and my partner considering I was at work all day and she was visiting the tourist sites.

A dog friendly hotel, near a dog park and lots of walk areas. The people are very helpful, they have lots of ideas to share and you pick what seems more appealing. Good sized room (suite) and I liked the entrance area with multiple areas. They park your car so less issues dealing with parking. Tried the terrace restaurant and would go back. Ask the receptionist about the hours as they are open Sundays too. Highly recommended

Stayed in this hotel two nights ago and booked via their website directly. The hotel is not a 4* as it does not have the amenities ( no kettle, Tv is tiny, cloakroom too small, no extra pillows or blankets, safe not working ) It would appear that the website was not functioned properly and the booking was done on the wrong day. Upon arrival the receptionist informed me that the booking was for the day before and that rooms were available for tonight. We kindly asked if we could have a refund for the room as we and they didn’t really know whose mistake it was. The manager refused to refund the room booked, refused to refund the breakfast, refused to refund the parking, refund to refund the pet fee. Very unfriendly place I would avoid and not recommend

I absolutely loved our two night stay here. The hotel was beautiful and serene, while being just steps from the bustling nightlife of pamplona, and the ancient high city walls lined by park. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to assure that every guests needs are accomodated. I am very grateful to one "standout", especially. A handsome young man named Alejandro made our weekend complete. I wont list the ways that he helped us, but rest assured that you are in good hands, when Alejandro is taking care of you!

The lobby was cold and a bit deteriorated. The rooms are very dark and our hallway had a door in between that made it very cold. I inquire if they were able to give me any compliments after listening the receptionist offer an upgrade to another guest. She stated she can’t and she didn’t want to. I think this very bad customer service.

Hotel is at a great location with views if you get one of the good rooms, rooms are backdated, old ac and mixers and not the cleanest room I have stayed, found hairs on the floor and bed, not comfy beds and noisy corridor, food is average and expensive

Very nice location, which is at the same time a historical place (the ancient fortified walls of the City of Pamplona) and nowadays also a really agreeable city park, where many people take a stroll, run or walk their dogs. It is also crossed by the pilgrims of the Camino de Santiago who get to the city and by those who just cross it along their journey.

Such a gorgeous park! We had a lovely evening walking around this establishment and really liked how it was free and open to the public so that everyone can enjoy! It is well preserved and the perfect place to unwind.

Impressive ancient fortress . Be careful as there are no safety barriers on the upper levels . Corte Engles is a nearby department r store with a cafeteria and Toilets on the first floor .

It was nice to wonder around. Amazing how the council has kept it so clean. We were a bit early for the exhibitions.

Huge and impressive even though the triangular sections on 4 & 5 have been removed for city development. Midweek it’s quiet so a great place to stroll around the walls or enjoy basking in the sun on the well kept lawns. Sporting facilities like soccer fields are also catered for within these massive fortifications.

This is a really interesting place. The citadel has been made into a major well kept park lands. If visiting Pamplo it is a must to take some time out, relax and walk around the extensive well maintained citadel. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

I was just in the city. Beautiful city. I didn't spend much time in the place because I was on transit heading to San Sebastian. The vibe and coolness is there. It is one of the places in my list for further exploration.

For those missing the fiestas of “San Fermin” from the 6th -14th of July, here you get a grasp of the idea of its 8am daily bull run!

We went there for the running of the bulls opening ceremony. WOW awesome experience! I would love to go back. Pamplona is such a nice little town, with tiny narrow streets, easy to get lost, which makes you see even more of it! Definitely worth going!

Bit crowded as I visited during San Fermin. But overall, it's a nice place to click pics with bulls' sculpture.

This famous sculpture made by artist Rafael Huerta of Bilbao is a sight to see. Encierro literally means confinement in Spanish which is what happens before the bulls (fighting and castrated ones depicted here) run with willing people. The humans are hoping not to be pinned or hurt by the bulls. Mind you, I do not condone this part of my Spanish heritage as it is a form of animal cruelty which has gained much ridicule from all over the world. While spending time looking at this massive installation made of bronze just this last June, I noticed a side of it that shows the power of the bull and the fear in man. It is along the street aptly placed facing the arena where bullfighting occurs, free for anyone to look at. I hope the pictures I took do it justice and I hope people see what I saw.

A great monument to a crazy tradition it captures the moment but by the look of the monument there seems to be a high number of vulnerable young men at the feet of the bulls. I hope it's not as bad as it looks. By the way are there no brave young ladies that also take the plunge here.

I wish I took more pictures. This is a great walk around the grounds filled with chickens ducks, peacocks, turkeys, geese and deer. You can't go near them. They are all protected by distance. You mostly look down on them in the grass and ponds. So peaceful. Hard to believe it is in the city. On the west outside the city walls. We drove and parked. Fantastic if you have kids as well, for the animals and outdoor games to the side. Near a skate park.

Large, lots of interesting things to see, plenty of birds, plant life, and a walled off section where different animals (peacocks, geese, swans, ducks, chickens) roamed. Good walking paths.

Beautiful garden in the middle of the city. I love how the used those ancient walls to create a very attractive and elegant environment for a big and varieted poultry farm.

What makes this bullring tour a success is it's related to the running of the bulls. Not a great museum, like Ronda, but a very good explanation of the run and the fight. Recommended, if you aren't opposed to the bull-related events.

Enjoyable self-guided tour. You get to go pretty much everywhere within the plaza using your phone or a audio wand as your guide.

Atmosphere is sensational, the best seats are Tendidos. Anywhere else you will not see very well. Try to enter early always at the events as it gets full very quick. If you are staying in corrida bring a pillow because you are sitting on concrete.

This bullring was designed by Francisco Urcola and opened in 1922. Next to the lane leading into the ring there stands the Monumento to Hemingway, made by Luis Sanguino in 1968. In his articles for the newspapers Hemingway described the early morning of the 7 July of that year, during the first Sanfermines. He even participated in the vaquillas bullfight in 1924. This bullring has more than 19000 seats and it must be fantastic to see the stampedo running through the open gates.

I definitely recommend to go to the museum inside the arena. You'll do a round-trip inside the arena building, history is shown and you learn all important stuff about the subject.

This is a great place to visit, we had a tour that was guided by an electronic device set for many languages. There was a buzz about the bullring and can only imagine the sense of excitement on the day of the bull run, we were in the centre of the bull ring and it is easy to imagine how the crowd would be in awe of this long time Spanish tradition. Well worth a visit if you find yourself in Pamplona 👍

3rd biggest bullring in Spain. Famous for the encierro and corrida during San Fermin. Historic arena. Rating it a 4 for the 'fans'. I can understand how the 'traditionalists' grew up not knowing or not wanting to know the other take on it. It's quite controversial and I definitely see how others rate it a 1 star given the unnecessary and brutal killing. It was my first time and it's definitely not for me.

Awesome bullring, some people may not agree with bullfighting but its part of the culture. People are friendly and go out of their way to give you directions and show you to your seat. If the bull is mistreated in any way, they complain bitterly. After the third bull you have a sandwich and your neighbir may share his wine. They sell drinks befire it starts and almonds during the bullfight.

Pamplona is a city full of history and deep-rooted traditions, and the streets and squares of its historic quarter preserve a significant collection of monumental buildings, churches, and the medieval walls. It was founded as a Roman city and later became the capital of the kingdom of Pamplona. It sits on the route of the Way of Saint James through the lands of Navarre. Pamplona is extremely well-known for the Fiestas de San Fermin, but outside of July I'm not sure if it is a well-known destination for non-pilgrim tourists, which is a pity because it is a lot of fun, very beautiful, and the dining is excellent. It has a decent train connection to Madrid (3.5 hours) but for reasons I don't understand it doesn't have decent highway access to the capital (the fastest route, following Google Maps' directions, was a dangerous drive). The old town is ideal for sampling the traditional produce of Navarre's gardens – asparagus, piquillo peppers, and haricot-beans. Roast lamb or lamb cooked with tomatoes and peppers are the classics, accompanied always with a Navarra DOC wine (and a pacharán to finish - good for digestion). Local highlights for sight-seeing include: * Pamplona Diocesan Cathedral Museum * Museum of Navarre * Sarasate Gallery Museum * Ciudadela * Comptos Chamber * Pamplona Cathedral * Navarre University Museum * Condestable Palace * the San Fermin bullfight, if its on. Make a friend in the local Peñas (the San Fermin social clubs) or expect to pay many multiples of the face value of a ticket. Sol side is more fun. Local festivals include: * 6-14 July): San Fermines, in honour of the city's patron saint. Lots of info available online, so only advice is to book accommodation well in advance, and read a guide before your run with the bulls. The Spanish joke that an Australian gets gored every year, so don't be that guy. * Early February: days of San Blas and San Agueda are a nice weekend spectacle in Pamplona, with an interesting focus on local culture, food and music.

Even though out of season and no bull run, being in a bull ring was still an amazing experience. The self-guided audio tour, the visual and sound effects was really interesting to give a feel of the action. The small museums also adequate and interesting. And finally the opportunity to be photographed as a “matador”!

This is a nice, traditional church. Inside this church San Fermin has a chapel where the Saint's statue is kept. On 7 of July, people carry the Saint through Pamplona's street for everyone to worship and pray for His blessing.

Beautiful. No visit to Pamplona can be complete without visiting this beautiful cathedral and paying your respects to St Fermin of the famed Festival of tge same name and of course tge running of the bulls.

Lovely church on the edge of the historic center of town. There is a side chapel with the statue of San Fermin in it. This is the statue that they parade around town, and the chapel is highly desirable as a wedding site. The interior is suitably ornate, with a quite air of solemnity about the entire place.

Excellent monument of medieval Navarese culture and architecture. Unfortunately majority original interiors we lost in result of several baroque reconstructions. Fortunately two Gothic chapels survived. There is excellent bas-relief of XIV century with mounted knight. Admission is free but any donation is welcomed and highly appreciated. Visitors are allowed to take non commercial photo without flash light.

This church has the original gothic worship area that has a porch along the street. Inside you see a larger addition that has a much more baroque sensibility, with the dichotomy being a bit overwhelming. The older part is more serene and definitely worth a look.

This is a must see in the region! Beautiful and unique inversed roof to gather the water from the sky. Very good and dedicated guide.

What a great place to visit in Pamplona. This small, well laid out gallery/museum houses a combination of very interesting artefacts from the region, supplemented by artwork, up to contemporary pieces. A highlight for me was the prehistory section and in particular the abauntz map - the oldest in Western Europe! The column heads from the Catedral are also spectacular to view up close. A lovely way to spend a some quiet time in Pamplona.

A museum which contains a lot of history of the Navarra region. But be warned all descriptions are in Spanish but it is worthwhile visiting this great museum as when I went it was free! Amazing views of the surrounding hills also!

The layout is helpful as the curator has started as early as possible on the lower floors and worked up towards modern. Spent around 90 mins to 2 hours here, it could have been more if I had scanned all the QR for information and storyline. Highly recommended

The museum has 4 floors of exhibits touching on Roman, middle ages, Renaissance, Baroque and 20th century. It should take about 1.5 to 2 hours to explore all the exhibits.

Very interesting, not all the exhibitions were to our taste but nonetheless worth a viewing. The exhibitions are spread over several floors so there are stairs to climb but there is also a lift.

It is a better visit if you can read Spanish -or Basque. Interesting combination of historic -beginning prehistoric - to modern current artists. Some interesting historical videos.

Very well put together museum with many impressive artifacts. I do not speak Spanish or basque but there was an information sheet to tell me all about the most interesting objects. If you have limited time in Pamplona then this is the place to go. Staff are helpful and friendly, very accessible layout and good presentation. Free entry. Very seriously recommended.

Everyjing well built and modern BUT, there are no sockets anywhere in sight. If you go for a congress be ready to have a dead phone & laptop somewhere during the day. Internet and even phone signal ar very hard to get in some of the rooms. Uneasy to find some exposition rooms, the signaling has loads of room for improvement.

This museum was out of town and a good 30 minute walk from our hotel. So we debated a bit weather we should bother. We decided to go as my wife is a fan of modern art. To be honest most of the time I don't get it, some of the stuff I have seen in various museums I have seen a child could have done so I don't get what all the fuss is about. Half the time I think good on the artist they have taken the museum for a ride. This museum was the exception it has a small but well chosen number of pieces. But what transformed my understanding was the very knowledgeable guide who gave us an insight into the significance of the important pieces and with that explanation transfor6my understanding of at least the pieces they are exhibiting. Well worth the excursion but make sure you take the guided tour.

I visited while the museum housed a beautiful Luis Gordillo temporary exhibition. The architecture of the building is remarkable. Worth the visit. Highly recommend.

I am not pleased because their advertised times in the guidebooks and on their entrance say 10am whereas the actual opening time in the summer, apart from Monday, is 11am. This is really annoying to find out when you have walked there from the town centre. I was told primly to check on their website when i arrived an hour early.

I loved this place! The size alone makes you feel you'll get whatever you'll need. There are many stores of different trades and people from all over come here to shop. Good and clean environment. There are restaurants there if you want something to eat. Fast food chains, clothing stores and hardware and appliances shopes. Adjacent to it is a bus stop that takes you to the city centre.

These are the enclosures housing the bulls before the bull run. The name comes from a gas factory built in 1861 for local street lighting. Current enclosures with built in 2003 but out of season there’s not much to see apart from the walls painted with bulls

Staff were friendly and informative, they give a brief history of the town and show you the points of interest on the tourist map. The office closes at 2pm (last entry 1:50pm) but opens again at 4pm.
