Ancient roman tower in pretty good nick. Also still a working lighthouse. Oldest one in continuous use apparently. Good tourist attraction and a relatively scenic walk to it. Cheap enough tickets. Great views of the surrounding sea from the base....obviously.

On a cruise which stopped at La Corona. Walked through town to what was described as the oldest light house in the world which was originally built by the Romans. An impressive site, only a few Euros to enter and climb the 200 plus steps to the top which we did not do . I expect the view would be spectacular. Also a popular place for coastal walks. Recommended

We first went during the morning and it was impossible to find parking anywhere without having a half hour walk, so we went away to the city centre and returned again the same evening. We couldn't entre inside the tower, but had a lovely walk up to and around it. Impressive tower that is the oldest standing lighthouse in the world. It was reformed in the 1780s and apparently you can still see the original building from the inside. The spiral you see on the outside is also the original walkway up. Definitely worth a visit. The views are lovely. Take a light jacket in the summer. Very windy and fresh in mid August! 😁

This is pretty fascinating for the age and location. Originally from the first century, remodeled to how it looks today, in the 17th century, this is definitely worth the visit. But the grounds around it are the best feature. Beautiful coastline, hours of walking or hiking, and an overall fantastic day/half day outdoors. We enjoyed visiting this ancient lighthouse which is now a UNESCO world heritage site. There is a fairly steep walk up a hill to get to the tower and then some stairs. The tower was not open when we visited, so we didn't get to go inside. But the views from the base of the lighthouse were excellent.

A lot to see around the Torre de Hercules. You have many paths to access to the tower or see around, by following the coastline.

Great experience. Entrance was free, but you have to book a ticket, timeslot, to get in. A bucketlist thing. All the way up in the tower, aged from the Romans, legend says celtic.

A fine place to spend 30-60 minutes. You can buy tickets at the entrance (cash or card), and there is plenty of parking. The place is well organized with walking paths, and there are several stops to observe. The view to the sea is very breathtaking.

It's a nice historic place and UNESCO world heritage site. The lighthouse itself is well preserved and renovated! by keeping the original design as much as possible. There is some controversy about the windows but you can read about it there! On its own the sight is not too special, but it's surrounded by beautiful scenery and nice coastal walks. The price to climb up the monument is more than fair and gives you a good impression of how the lighthouse changed over the years. Worth a visit if you are in the area, but not worth a big detour if you are not particularly interested in history. Including the coastal walks you can spend about 2h there.

I went to visit family and the birthplace of my paternal grandmother in 2018. My family in A Coruña told me I had to visit the historic lighthouse built by the Romans. It is an imposing edifice. Amazing that such a structure has survived for millenia. And against the backdrop of sea and cliffs, it is unforgettable. Nice walk up to the lighthouse and little museum at the bottom. If you are in A Coruña, make time to visit, you will not be disappointed.

We took a cab from the port. Small ticket fee but very beautiful, historic and majestic place. We hiked to the top to enjoy the view. Ticket times manage the flow of people to avoid congestion on the narrow steps at the top. Had to walk about 1/2 mile to the taxi stop back to town but well worth it.

Well worth the €3 to visit and book in advance to guarantee a timed entry. Beautifully restored Roman lighthouse with information boards in English at every leve and an amazing view from the top. One of the best restored monuments in Spain.

Great park for a stroll if the weather allows. Breathtaking view of the ocean, the Costa da Morte and the city of A Coruña, with the added historical value of the military fort and its artillery pieces. Access by car is easy and parking is plenty and free of charge.

A place with a fantastic view over the city. The green of the hill and the sea in front make us feel good. It also has historical relevance. The elevator, an icon, was under repair, and so was the observatory. They are essential in the visit. Hopefully everything will work out soon. Even so, I recommend the visit.

You can drive or take a nice uphill walk! It has gorgeous views of A Coruña. There is a bit of history to see there too. Old canóns thst used to protect the city are lined along the hill. It is a nice place to go with the family or alone too. You can sit on the grass and have a little picnic too. There is loads of parking and it is a great place to photograph the Tower of Hercules from.

What a beautiful place with an amazing view! It’s a bit windy so take a coat, but is totally worth it! I’ve set on the smoothest grass I’ve ever sat, so green, soft and thick. There are several cannons that were never fired in a battle, and an observatory that is free of charge, with a 360 degrees view and without wind 😅

Absolutely stunning views of the city, great spot to take pictures. But more importantly an amazing place to sit and listen to the waves with the wind in your hair and a book in your hands. It feels extremely relaxing to be sat in such a place. The history of the military installations was great to see. Some of the machinery came from Ipswich England which is not to far away from me. The cannons were huge. Next time I am in coruna I will definitely be taking a nice picnic and relaxing at monte de san pedro.

Great place to relax and walk about! The views are incredible, you see all Coruña and also the seaside. The park is a weird mixture of war structures and weapons in the middle of lush greenery and huge flower beds. I recomed visiting this place as it's relaxing and very well taken care of, plus the views are incredible!

A beautiful and well maintained park with amazing views. Old gun emplacements still house a couple of large cannon. We tried to get in to see the sunrise but he park is gated and doesn't open until 10am.

Great medium sized aquarium. Some great displays in main area. Kids like the drive the boat bit and the tying the knots. Most displays in Spanish. Downstairs display room amazing..full walkaround windows with fish swimming round an round. Amazing decor with an vintage feel. We walked to here from the town which was nice but slightly too long for our children. Great coastal views and scenery.

Although looks small from the road it is actually on 3 levels and made for an interesting visit. Shame that the cafe was closed but there is a small shop selling soft drinks inside the entrance on the left. Quite impressed with the layout which got better the further you went inside. A definite plus is that there is a lift to all levels which is great for families with prams or users of wheel chairs. Lots to look at and from my perspective is a worthwhile place to visit. I will let the photos do the rest of the talking.

Great place to visit. It is not too big, but has wide range of stands with lot of interesting facts and information about marine life. Outdoors they have two pools to visit little fatties sea dogs aka seals. Best part is underground marine dedicated to Jules Verne, with 360 aquarium.

Visited as part of a tour, some excellent parts, but also disappointing in the main. Firstly the positives. Great access and toilets on site. It’s only 10 Euros each to get in. Seal feeding at midday is great, you can get really close to these beautiful creatures. The site is entirely In Spanish, not surprising given it’s in Spain, however most such sites now around the globe have signs to accommodate most. The do have a QR code to English texts, but they can be hard to find in the dark. Additionally there is no suggested route around, and you don’t get an idea of what’s there unless you keep looking, it would be really easy to miss a room. We spoke to a staff member who spoke English and she said we had seen everything, that was apart from the massive room behind her and the tanks in there …. It could be so much more, it’s a shame for visitors.

A good three hours spent here. A nice selection of displays and animals to look at. Some good educational material. I felt bad for some of the aquatic animals who had very small tanks that did not have any decoration/stimulation for them, and were also kept alone. Very sad. Otherwise, conditions seemed pretty good. Reasonable entry at €10. The cuttlefish were mesmerising. A good activity for a rainy day.

Good place in a quite environment. It does not have many attractions. I like the fact walruses are in an open environment. Many things to read, only few of them interactive. The nautilus exposition is one of the best spaces. Persona Opinion: it seems that the aquarium open few years ago, it remained with the same expositions, no new ones and they are fighting to maintain it feeding the animals... important: personal opinion. In general it could be better. If you like the aquariums you may go, but is not good enough (I have visited other aquariums that are really good) as to make a mandatory visit in A Corunha. Great place for kids, but adults can learn a thing or two there as well. It has some activities (seal feeding, short "class" about sharks) which is a nice addition. There was an amazing photo exposition in the hall when I was there.

A nice facility with a lot of educational and interactive content that was unfortunately not made easily accessible in English (not a big deal though). Some highlights from the exhibits were the live shark eggs that you could see, the seahorses, seals (outdoor), and the jellyfish. The Nautilus room was a breathtaking experience, especially once the sand shark came into view. I would come back just for this.

Worth planning around the seal feeding time at 12:00 and 17:00 with spanish narration. If you miss it they are still fun to watch. They are outdoors, so bring an umbrella in case it rains. Nearly missed the 360degree underground tank Nautilus where there are numerous fish and a shark swimming around (the water doesn’t look too deep so feel a bit sorry for the shark). There’s not enough signage inside. Map not very detailed either. Just make sure you cover the outdoor, indoor plus the underground areas. The ‘pats pond’ depicted on the map doesn’t exist anymore, replaced by a model ship driving area. No English just spanish and gallego explanations but it might be good for me saving time from reading everything. Some people might find it a bit expensive at €10 entrance fee for a medium sized aquarium, but it’s got a variety of tanks to spend a good 2hrs (or more).

Excellent fortress turned museum right on the maritime walk in A Coruña! Beautiful views once you reach the top. There are very interesting artifacts inside as well (including an old viking ship). Don't miss the area where the water fills up with the tide. We were told it was once used as a torture chamber for prisoners.

A short walk from the lovely cruise terminal, this castle also doubles up as an archaeological museum and houses a lot of military and other artifacts unearthed from the nearby area. The castle is a good wander and one can go to the top ramparts to enjoy a good view of the surrounding areas.

We had a super quiet visit on a Wednesday afternoon (the entry was free on the day, but it’s usually 2 euros). We had enough time to explore every little corner of the castle, it was a very interesting experience. Notes inside are not written in English but you can get a guidebook in English at the entrance.

Nice little place to visit, only a 10 minute walk from cruise terminal, I visited from P&O Iona which diverted from a scheduled stop elsewhere. Cost we're very reasonable at €2.00 sadly tight Brits walked by.. Was a good 1hr spent and its not something I normally visit. Only wanted ship shots but spent more time there than expected

What the heck was that?! Really the few things in the exhibition that work really made no sense at all. Everything was broken and unrelated to humans. We enjoyed it only for the fact that it was so defective it was hilarious, couldn't stop laughing.

Good place to teach children about science and sustainability. It seems a little bit messy because the areas are not well divided. However is a good option to visit. The entrances is not expensive. This is a personal opinion: I did not like the section of sexuality. Best museum I have been to jn my 21 years of existence. So interactive and so many things to touch. Made me realise I should probably get tested for autism, however, it's a museum of discovery so it did its job right. Shame there's no little shop because I love little shops.

A museum to remind you of your school days. It's a place you'd visit as an obligatory school trip and were happy to discover there was something to touch, even if it wasn't really all that fascinating. 🤷‍♀️ By the looks of it still teaching the state of science as it was in the 1990s (the food pyramid anyone?). 📜 Nostalgic science, so to speak. But, as an adult I recommend that you nostalgically immerse yourself and play with all the kids-centric teaching aids. I did and had a great time making sounds with a tube, some origami, watching bugs eating paper and even played the "mind coordination game" with a lovely guy from the staff. There isn't a lot of text in English, so if your Spanish is null, it's probably best to skip.

Be aware that they have different exhibits in the planetarium for children and adults, kids can't go to the adult ones. Pro tip: get a bono and save some money if you are going to the Aquarium and Casa del Hombre.

A wonderful place for inventors and young scientists. We have received a lot of pleasure from visiting this center of science.

This was a really fun afternoon out. I was on my own but there was never a dull moment in the place as everything was interactive and explained a lot of concepts within physics. The explanation is all in Spanish and Galician and there isn't much English but that didn't really matter as the content was mainly visual/interactive.

A must when im Galicia. It really gives the feeling of reaching the end of the world - like the Romans believed - even if you did not do the Camino, but got there by car or bus. The views are breathtaking! Be aware of the rocky hills and bring appropriate shoes.

Such a great shopping centre with an enormous choice of goods. Loved the ZARA home in particular because it is like a picture book shop; so well designed and artistically arranged. Shame though, because of the virus some places had to shut down so it makes some areas look a bit empty.

Nice and modern big shopping center close to the city. Good connections with the city center. Very clean and big parking space. All kind of restaurants and services.

Marineda City is a very popular and huge shopping mall with a wide variety of stores, cinemas, restaurants and even a proper Ikea. If you drive here the access from the road is not particularly easy or even properly signaled so first time you visit chances are you'll drive a little longer than you'd need and you won't park in your ideal section for your destination on the massive parking lot this shopping area has... Cinemas have a few screens and are top notch. No Imax sadly, but apart from that it has screens with top tier image and sound quality. Most foreign films are dubbed to castilian spanish, as is most common in Spain, but they do have some screenings in original version. Few and not every day, but they do have some. Food options are what you'd expect in this kind of place ranging from fast food to some more chilled restaurants with speciality cuisine. Marineda City is the biggest shopping area in the region and as such it gets very busy, especially on weekends, so is pretty common to find more or less long queues and can take quite a while to park at peak times, so better avoid those if possible.

Huge commercial area with a very wide variety of shops... including cinema, El corte Ingles, Leroy Merlin, Zara, an IKEA nearby and many more. Has free parking and a food court.

Huge mall with lots and lots of shops (200 according to the web). The top floor has restaurants, cinema and toilets. It would be nice to have toilets on every floor but that is not the case. The halls are wide and even though it was a busy day, it did not feel crowded. There are things to keep the kids busy, including a nice arcade on the top floor. Worth a visit whether you need something or not. the parking is HUGE and free. It could use more EV charging stations but hopefully they will add some to keep up with the times.

The garden is well maintained but quiet noisy due the traffic on both sides. Please notice a small space with a small garden with colourful flowers that aremaintained daily to update the date. It is a simple but beautiful gesture.

I have been there twice during my staying in Coruña and I liked it a lot. There's a lot to see and discover. The most unbelievable part is that the visit costs 0€

While the exhibitions themselves were quite interesting, the overall plan/layout of them was rather confusing. In one corner was the moon landing, turn around and you can read all about gilette razors and the invention of velcro and the light bulb. Information about the invention of the piano was right next to the particle accelerator which in turn was right next to the first motion picture camera... Entrance is free and they have 9 floors so there is plenty to see. A worthy visit.

We really loved this museum, such a gem that you might expect to find in a big city, like Madrid or Barcelona (yet there is none like it), I guess that's why they've named it the National Museum of Science. Lots of interesting information for all ages! The building itself is modern, tall and beautiful (wheelchair friendly). Each floor has original pieces, cars, motorbikes, even a 747 airplane (clearly the star of the museum). You'll be shocked at the size of the first television! We thoroughly enjoyed learning about everything, information is clearly written (but only in Spanish). Google lens can translate what you don't understand. And best part, it's free!!

This museum is fantastic. It is a journey through time through technical inventions and advances. Take your time going through all the areas, but don't expect to take in everything you see. You have to come back for that. It's definitely worth it.

Fantastic museum with a huge range of science and technology inventions from throughout history, from the every day items, to the more obscure. The staff were fantastic and gave the kids a tour in English with activities that encouraged them to explore the different spaces and to learn about the different inventions. Thank you team.

Beautiful and old medieval temple from XII century, located in the old town. This temple is visited by the pilgrims on St James way. Worth the visit. Spent some time walking around and enjoying the architecture.

Didn't spend nearly enough time here but the beach and the architecture in the area were phenomenal

Beautiful spot to visit for tourist, photos at different times of day. So unique to see the fog roll in early in the morning and great area for walking or biking ( bike rentals are nearby) with views of the water.
