Also underground they have a huge exhibition of Roman history with Piacenza as backdrop. Al piano superiore è anche presente una superba collezione di minerali, pare sia la seconda più ricca d'Europa, da sola varrebbe la visita. Dono di un collezionista piacentino è più ampia di molte altre viste in famosi musei, davvero straordinaria. Minerali da tutto il mondo, catalogati per zona geografica e tipologia, perfettamente esposti in teche di legno pensate e create dal collezionista stesso. In alcuni espositori sono in mostra anche vari campioni fosforescenti, la vetrina si spegne e in un attimo si illuminano vividamente di un giallo acceso, un viola squillante o un verde acido, un altro esempio di quanto la natura sia incredibile e stupefacente.
