Drive 100m up the road and you come to the FREE entrance for the Oratory (where it says on google maps). I honestly don’t know how the visitor center get away with trying to rip people off like this?? Should not be allowed. Thank god for reviews!

What a neat little aquarium. We stopped in here to get out of the weather and take up a few hours and were pleasantly surprised. The staff was so helpful and kind. Our kids loved all the animals, especially the penguins. They have a butterfly area that was super. The highlight of the day was probably the butterflies landing on everyone. They had tons of cute souvenirs and they were very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this place.

Great day out, lots to see. May be advisable to get there early as there is no car park. Across the road there is a pay and display car park but it is constantly full. We ended up parking in the centre of Dingle in another car park near the church. Brilliant day out for adults and kids alike.

We visited on a Saturday in February. I found the employees nice and friendly. We paid €44 for 2 adults and 1 child. Upon paying, we were given a map and told that the penguins were being fed in a couple of minutes. Overall, the place is kinda small for the entry price, but it is clean, including the ladies' toilets. The loggerhead turtle and penguins were our favourite. The gift shop at the exit had fair pricing also.

Great morning out at the Aquarium. The staff are fantastic present and sharing their knowledge. 10 year old getting into conversation about the blue lobster with them and they were so patient. The fish species are plenty. We enjoyed the butterfly room which us new since we were last there. Its clear to see everyone here has a passion for marine biology. Couldn't recommend highly enough ❤️

Good place to visit in Dingle, It looked pretty tiny on the outside but was surprisingly big. It was cool to see all the different types of first and to see the sharks !😧 The only downside would be the gift shop, I purchased magnets and all of them in the pile had some sort of scratch so had to dig out the less damaged one :(

This was a highly inexpensive stop that literally gave me a glimpse of everything I expected to see while visiting. The mannequins used to express the famine were a bit worn, but the history posted within the building was interesting. The thatched roof cottage, the vistas, rolling green mountain side, sheep and donkeys were the quintessential Ireland. Definitely worth the stop!

Sorry. This is for me animal abuse. The animals in this property is not behaving normal. Feeding up with no control. The “exhibition” is rather poor and not credible. I understand it should look authentic booth you can keep it in shape. There is a parking there and a WC. Not wheelchair friendly.

Famine was an awful period in Irlande and you can learn more about it either from the leaflet and/or the explanation given in the inside of the house. If it’s on your way to see other places and you have time, it can be an interesting point to stretch your legs and give some food to animals (provided by the owner of the place). But should it be your destination, I would recommend rethinking your plans. Btw - Some animals urgently need hooves trimming. :( Ticket -3€ / person. No card payment. Free parking in front of it. A little bit of walk up to get there.

Surprisingly interesting and fun. For 3€ per person, the guy at the entrance will give you food and baby bottles to feed the sheep and horse. They will go crazy for it. The guy at the entrance will give you some leaflet to get the summary of some famine stories but you will have plenty to read on posters in the main house. This was an aweful time for Ireland and there is nobody else to blame then the English. And you can be sure that even in English schools that don't teach the kids on the horrible things did to Ireland and all their other colonies. I put pictures of some posters for you to read.

An absolutely amazing tour our tour guide Paddy was very helpful and very informative. this was our first brewery tour even though we are from Ireland we never actually been to any. The three of us that went or like a different thing with Dingle alcohol I myself love the gym one of my friends loves the vodka and my other one loves the whiskey so this was a great place for all three of us to enjoy. It was very interesting to see how the different alcohols are made and it is very interesting the time it takes to make them all. The only issue I had was the merchandising was very expensive for a hoodie or t-shirt but all in all a very good tour to go on.

We really enjoyed our tour of the distillery and learning about the history and growth of the company as well as their process for making spirits. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and lots of fun as well! My friends went for the whiskey and I went for the gin and we loved it all! It was really lovely to see first had the sense pride and community the distillery has and learn how they work locally with farmers to source their ingredients as well as redistribute their byproducts. We just had a tour from David and I don’t think I have enjoyed a better tour in my life. He was completely knowledgeable about more than just whiskey and was happy to answer all our questions. It isn’t a massive visitor centre (yet) and you get a really good behind the scenes view, unlike the big producers. Please make the effort to go all the way to Dingle. And don’t forget, if you don’t like whiskey, there is also gin and vodka.

Our visit to the Dingle Distillery was a highlight of our trip to Dingle. The thoughtful progression of the tour was fabulous with the tasting of the vodka and gin before the 'tour' then finishing with the whiskey tasting. Pros: - Tour guide - a very jovial and knowledgeable tour guide demonstrated the history and process in making vodka, gin, and whiskey - Small factory - quaint and beautiful machinery and process to produce the drinks - Excellent tasting experience - a set of excellent drinks were offered during and after the tour which boasted the taste of the product Critical: - The factory was INOPERATIVE during our visit to Dingle and this factory (23rd December) and this was NOT advised on the website! This is an unacceptable way to tour the distillation process of a very nice product. A note would have helped in this regard so that we would avoid wasting precious travel hours to the factory and choose a more functioning/operating timeframe to tour the factory

The man that supplied our ticket was very friendly and helpful .You don't have far to walk so any level of fitness can visit the beehives. One of the beehive huts is totally enclosed so you get a real feel of the beehives . You get to see sheep and farm dogs as well and it's very close to other tourist attractions that are worthwhile seeing .

This is a nice stop along Slea Head drive along the Dingle peninsula. If you like historical items and a fan of anthropology this is a place for you to see. For only 3 euro you can take the walk up the hill to see these artifacts. Be warned it is a bit of a steep climb to get there but worth it when you arrive.

Amazing old church and cemetery. It is definitely worth your time and the drive. The church was amazing to walk through, and the old standing stone is unique -- it has a hole in the top where people would touch thumbs to seal an agreement. Plenty of parking on the road around the church.

To be fair, we were with a group of students, and we turned the visit into an event, thanks to some gossip about traditions and legends from the coach driver. The standing ogham stone with the hole at the top was used for binding agreements. From livestock exchanges to marriage! The two parties touched fingers through the hole, and the deal was solid. So naturally, we married two of the kids! To screams of 'bacio bacio' from the spectators! In the back wall of the church is a narrow slit. Legends says that if you can pass through the hole, you'll go the heaven! Good luck to yer!

A bit unremarkable ruined church, bit like any other ruined church found every 5km in Ireland. True, the romanesque carved arches with the corbel stone shaped as human head is great, but you wouldn't miss much by not seeing it. Interestingly though, most headstones in the graveyard are written in Irish, as this is a Gaeltacht region of the country.

Beautiful little area. There are a few signs around to help you appreciate what you are seeing. We went with a guide and he explained it very well. Definitely take a stop if you’re in the area.

An absolute must see if you are in the Dingle area. The workmanship involved in stone cutting is surely some of the best in the area. Ogham stone , sundial and Romanesque church building point to this being an important site back in the day. St. Brendan's Church across road , but on private land. Very limited parking.

The site is small, but historically very rich. I went here for the Ogham Stone and the Sundial and they did not disappoint me. Not that well preserved but still amazing to look at. The church is pretty nice too though it's clearly been heavily affect by time and not in good condition. It's open so you can also go to it's interior.

First let me say that the GOOGLE map anchor for this location that says "Temporarily closed" is way off. This is a historic building and a cemetary. I guess it's a stretch to say that since the church has no roof, as a church it's temporarily closed. Again temporary is a stretch, will the church ever be restored, probably not. With that out of the way this site is one of the few things to see on the Dingle peninsula and will is easy to get to, park, and burn off about 40/min of your time. The old stone sun dial is interesting both for function and a display of what time does to all things. I visited on a rainy day but I can imagine on a sunny summer day with the flowers it even better.

I rang this office Yesterday before travelling to Dingle to get some help finding dog friendly accommodation, a lovely girl gave me 4 different numbers. We left and arrived at the B&B we had booked but forgot to take the list of numbers. Unfortunately the B&B we booked wasn't suitable so I returned in person to see if the girl could get me the numbers again. She wasn't working today but there were 4 girls behind the counter doing nothing so surely 1 of them could help me? Wrong! While one of the girls was attempting to help reluctantly a girl with brown hair and teeth interrupted to say could I not look it up online myself and they are not there to help people get accommodation, she was very rude and unhelpful. Such a shame that 4 people behind a tourist information office counter with no other person to attend to couldnt help me. The whole tone was off. Welcome to Dingle, paddle your own canoe while the girls have the chats instead of actually doing their job.

I can't quantify how much the Tourist information offices in Ireland have helped me. If you're in a bind, go to one of these offices. While in Dingle, our mobile phone went dead and wouldn't turn on, even after hours of charging. We couldn't find any place that worked on I phones within a 2 hour drive of where we were staying. A nice lady at this office got us in contact with someone who could repair our phone for half the price it would have cost us in the States. In less than a day we were up and running again.

We felt at home here. Our room looked over the garden and had everything we needed. Our host, Carmel, was warm, gave us good tourist info over a cup of tea and served a mean breakfast. On the outskirts of Kenmare, a picturesque town. A friend recommended we stay in Kenmare rather than Killarney - very glad we did!

Several people out surfing today when we visited. Plenty of parking, bit of a steep walk down to the beach but it's worth it. Also walked up to Dunmore Head while there. 1 euro per person, trail not too rough or steep and the views from the top are great

Found this place via Instagram and had to see if for myself. And of course the real thing is better than any photos. First, the way here from Dingle town center and over the mountain is awesome on a narrow road overlooking the countryside. Second, arriving at the beach then walking down for he sand is just magic. The view out to the Skelligs is incredible. The water is cold but on a hot could be refreshing. A dip of toes into the North Atlantic is a must do. The beach is not near a major road therefore it stays pretty quite from people. Worth the extra time to take in the view, sea air, and ground yourself to the earth.

Wow, a breathtaking beach. First time where you can see the ocean so transparent, nice colour - light blue. Armeria maritima - pink flower - looks so happy and enjoys the view and the sound of the waves. Amazing place to admire the rugged coastline of Dingle peninsula. It costs €2 to get up the hill as it's located on private property however it is totally worth it. If you go in the middle of the winter like we did and you get your shoes covered in mud like us worry not as the farmers owning the land allowed us to clean our boots using their water hose. They even have prepared 3-4 brushes to scrub out all the stubborn sticky mud!! Lovely nice people!?

A 90-foot-tall dark stone structure built in the late 1840s to help guide ships into the harbor, Eask Tower is a ghostly relic. You have to hike up a 600-foot-high hill to reach it, passing through a sheep farm’s poop-filled and rock-strewn field. But the payoff is worth it: sweeping views of Dingle Harbor and Bay. Not a difficult hike. Lovely views of the area. Aim for a calm clear day as it can get windy at times. Often you will be able to walk into clouds rolling over the hilltop. Limited parking available by gate and across the road at the farm entrance. Two Euro entrance fees per adult payable by honesty system or to the attendant directly. Bucket, brush and hose available on the corner to wash or scrub your boots of the sheep droppings. Would be ideal if they could fence the sheep off the walking path.

Well worth the 2 euro entrance fee, a steep but manageable hike through the sheep pastures up to the top of the hill. The tower is a solid stone structure built in the 1800s to give unemployed potato farmers some work. Beautiful panoramic views of the cliffs and coast on one side and Dingle town and bay on the other.

Amazing views! It is a short drive from Dingle down a small windy road. It is a bit of a long walk up a long hill. The path goes through an active sheep pasture, so you may step in dung, but the views are worth it! The tower at the top is cool, and you get a great view of Dingle and the Ocean. Once back at the bottom, there is a hose across the road that you can use to clean your boots.

I couldn't be more thankful to whomever allows entry to the farm on which this tower sits. A beautiful November afternoon allowed views of Dingle and Conor Pass to the north, all the way to Skellig Michael to the south. Parking is located at the bottom of the hill, and access to the tower is granted by way of a sheep pasture that takes you all the way to the top. A lovely outing, and one I will remember forever.

It's quite the hike to get to the top of the hill where the tower sits. On the day that we went, it was super windy at the top. The entry fee is a symbolic 2 euro per person that you can pay for the nice lady at the gate. The views on the way up are breathtaking - you can see Dingle across the harbor and all the surrounding areas, provided it's not too misty. Definitely worth a visit, especially with fair weather. Just make sure that you wear some shoes that you don't mind getting dirty - there's plenty of sheep roaming around freely!

A truly underrated gem in Dingle. Stumbling upon this place, we were fortunate to view the incredible Harry Clarke stained glass and the other art pieces at the church. In addition, the worker at the church at the time was kind enough to take her time and talk to us about the history of all the pieces; her enthusiasm really radiated and made the visit that much more special.

I found the Harry Clarke stained glass windows quite by accident (I was enticed by the beauty of the buildings and grounds). My father had a book when he was a child that was illustrated by Clarke (circa 1920's), so I was aware of the name but had no idea of his greatness as a decorative artist. WOW. Stayed here 2 wks ago great location very clean, strong smell of heating oil so had to keep bathroom window open all night. Woken up at 830 following morning and asked to move our car from a designated parking space to make space for a container breakfast awful cold had to ask for it to be reheated. There was a young girl left to bring in breakfast and clear tables it was obvious she had no experience but doing her best we ended up getting cutlery from a press ourselves. On checking out we pointed our issues and appreciated gesture of a small refund which I might add we have still not received very disappointing

We got a large spacious room with a view of the bay. The room is very cozy, among the shortcomings I would note not very comfortable beds (very, soft) and archaic separate taps in the sink. Breakfast is very good, there was everything you need. The main dishes were ordered in advance, the buffet included fresh fruit and pastries. The only thing was that we were unlucky with the neighbors above, who were constantly stomping overhead, and it seemed that there was a team of cheerleaders, and they practice performing until midnight and from 7 a.m.

I had the most delightful stay at Dingle Marina Lodge! From the second I arrived, I was welcomed with warm Irish hospitality and genuine smiles from the staff. The location right by the marina was simply the best to explore the charming town of Dingle. The lodge itself was cozy and inviting, with tastefully decorated rooms that provided all the comforts of home. Each morning, I woke up to a delicious breakfast that fueled me for a day of exploring the Dingle Peninsula and the picturesque countryside of Slea head drive. Dingle Marina Lodge truly captures the essence of Irish hospitality and the beauty of the region. I couldn't have asked for a better place to call my home away from home during my time in Dingle. Hopefully next time I will see some puffins like some of the other guests I chatted to at breakfast!! I stayed as part of a couple in early June, a fantastic time to visit Ireland.

My family stayed here in August for one night. I chose the hotel based on the good reviews and parking available at the hotel. Parking is not available at the hotel. There is a paid car park across the street. We booked several months in advance. We have four people so we needed two rooms. The rooms were not even in the same building. Our room was on the street level with a window to the road. It was so loud. Breakfast was terrible. We had to pick a time but the people before us were late causing us to wait for a long time. By the time we got in, the buffet had been picked over with a couple of pieces of gross/old fruit left. The breakfast we ordered was not what was brought out. We couldn’t wait to leave this place. The only thing good about is the close distance to town.

I stayed in The Dingle Marina lodge on a little solo break. I wanted to work remotely while experiencing a new part of Ireland. The rooms were spacious, clean and so cosy - I took full advantage of the Nespresso machine in my room (LOL)! The location was perfect - I was a stones throw from EVERYTHING - while still feeling like I had my own little quiet retreat. The staff in the Marina were amazing; from the time I checked in to the morning I left. Miya treated me like a friend, which was amazing seeing as I was a Solo gal. And Clodagh gave me the most laughs I have ever had in my life. They accommodated my often difficult eating habits and made sure I had EVERYTHING I needed. I will most definitely be back! A true gem in the heart of Dingle. Bravo Dingle Marina Lodge.

The first thing you see is a machine demanding money. Just to make sure you don't miss it they put three arrows on it. Very spiritual. Tge second thing you see is a box demanding more money. Not a good start. The church itself is a sadly badly restored (or vandalised) 19th century church. It would have been quite impressive before they knocked all the plaster off the walls, took off the roof and shoved on an ugly heavy copper roof out of all proportion and added a few girders just for the hell of it. It is neither one thing nor another and just leaves one feeling empty and sad. Go the Díseart gardens next door. They're much nicer and they don't try to mug you for money.
