Unfortunately, the beach is trashed in several places, it's a shame, the tour boat operators should take responsibility to keep the beach trash free, instead of just profiting from it. This is a must visit when in Ishigaki. We visited off season but still got a beautiful views and had great time. Lots of activities in the area, boating, kayaking, snorkeling etc. some food options as well.

A beautiful beach, variety of colours of the water, crystal clear. Easy access, viewing point. The most touristic beach on the island, so you have boats everywhere. Still not overcrowded at that time (January). Barely shops and restaurants, prepare for that. Drinks are available, most people come by boat, we came by bike. Must see and worth it!

First time to visit here. the water is so clear, the glass boat tour I joined was very clean and tidy. not expensive. you can buy ticket at site, but I booked online. the tour takes 30 minutes which is worth. you may see sea turtle!

Stunning bay with nice azure colours. There are a few boats offering sightseeing tours of the bay, some of them with glass floor to see the fishes. No swimming or diving is allowed in the bay to help protect the corals and sea life (however there are quite a bit of litter on the beach). Still a must see place when visiting Ishigaki.

We arrived at 10:30am to plenty of parking. The bay was beautiful and due to the weather, it was mostly cloudy but the beaches were still pristine and waters were clear. There are two glassboat bottom boat tours (blue charges 1200 pp and orange charges 1050 pp; we picked blue without looking further). Food options are limited but ice cream options were plentiful. We were unable to find the Kabira Terrace trail and wish it was easier to find.

Beautiful meal which was very well presented. Just like the photos you see. Absolutely no complaints about the actual meal. The menu they give you doesn’t give you a good idea about what they offer. Strange! I ordered from photos of previous reviews and had a fantastic dinner. The service is nearly absent though. I had to get the menu myself. 3 staff too busy when I walked in. The restaurant was empty! Staff is very kind and smiling but not at all attentive. I sat outside on the balcony and had to go inside to ask for drinks and desert. Definitely worth a visit though.

It was so many corals and hard to swim through. It was really sad to see families and kids were standing on the corals I really hope people don’t destroy corals to preserve beautiful beach 😢 Go early as it gets busy. We went on Monday around 10:00 in July, but it was already busy. Only few spots for free parking. Rest is 500 yen. Shower is ¥300, so you might want to bring water to rinse yourself.

Amazing coral. Snorkelling is incredible here. Quite a few sea snakes, conefish and triggerfish. The latter are extremely aggressive if they have nests. Definitely worth getting some marine shoes and gloves.

Beautiful corals too. All very easy to swim out to. Would recommend you bring shoes or similar to swim with given that the mussels on the beach can be a bit sharp, and also to protect yourself out in the water. While I didn't see any dangerous jellyfish or other sea animals, I've read they can be present. So better be careful. You can rent snorkeling gear by the parking lot and buy drinks, but I didn't see much other food around. Lots of colorful tropical fish with coral reef. I went snorkeling a couple different places here but this was the best snorkel place in Ishigaki. You can find some clownfish at the east side of the beach. Highly recommended

I visited there last 2 weeks ago. I have been going there early morning to watch the sunrise and been looking for peacocks, luckily I found one. It was amazing! The park is a wide so you can have different view on each sides either you choose to walk or drive a car.

They have some nice souvenirs shops, great ice cream places 🍦, and a few places to grab a quick bite. 😋 Once you walk past there you'll see what looks like an observation hut. Walk there and enjoy the views. Be expected to take lots of pictures, because the views are really nice. You can walk down to the white sandy beaches and enjoy some more views. I believe they're are a few little tours that you can enjoy as well. I know one was a see through bottom boat, so you can see all the sea life around the reefs. I don't know the costs because we just visited there without doing any tours. If you're passing by or just want to enjoy some great views, then maybe consider this place. It's worth it, in my opinion. 😊👍

Some peoples say "not swimming beach" but is not the truth. If you go straight, after the boat dock there are many small beaches where you can sunbathe and swim.

Absolutely beautiful and one of the most scenic spots in Ishigaki! It was easy to get up here by bus but make sure you bring water and wear appropriate clothing because the hot weather can get uncomfortable. The pictures look like scenes from a tropical paradise! I highly recommend visiting this park and observatory!

As expected, it was the number one popular spot on Ishigaki Island. The blue of the sea is really wonderful. If you go down to the sandy beach, you will be healed by the clear sea water. The parking lot was well maintained and the public toilets were very clean. This place is definitely a must-see for sightseeing in Ishigaki Island.

The squirrel monkeys were very cute! The mangrove area was a little difficult to find, but once we were there, we could look at a lot of different creatures and plants. There were a lot of mosquitoes so be prepared with bug spray!!

Such a good experience- cute cute moment for us. We rode bikes to the village area from the main city center, and if you are decently active its not a bad journey seeing all the nature on the way. But when we got there we did not expect the like really manicured look of everything, the monkeys are definitely what people go for and I understand that a lot because they are adorable and not seemingly dangerous if not bothered. As well as it being a wildlife enclosure that doesn’t smell completely like a zoo, they definitely maintain the facilities with care and attention to detail with the historical architecture. My favorite moment was the traditional performance that happened at 3:30pm for us, the sweet lady who got our tickets out front did some amazing tricks while singing and dancing(and a very special party trick) along with a instrumentalist accompanying her all while entertaining the young kids there(I don’t speak Japanese but the nuance of giggles and clapping enhanced the not complete understanding, hearing kids shout out and laugh just kind of makes you feel at home in the moment for me personally). Overall super great experience, really well priced I would honestly say they should raise the price but that’s just me.

The monkeys are in a separate, gated area, so you do not have to visit them if you do not want to. There is an area to leave your bags before you enter the gated area. Absolutely amazing old village with monkey park! Highly recommended! Visitors without the car: bus comes just few times a day so you might get stuck and need a taxi to ride back to hotel. No buses between 2.15 pm and 5.33 pm.. taxi will cost aprx 2600 yen..

I really loved my time here until I saw that the water buffalo had a rope attached from the ground to its mouth. It was laying down and the rope looked tight so I’m not even sure if it was able to stand up. I’m assuming it’s to keep it from escaping the enclosure but surely there are better ways to do that.

So much fun! This is great family place, you can walk around for few hours, exploring the mangroves and most importantly, have fun with the monkeys. The monkey area is just amazing. The monkeys are cute and playful and will come to you. Just adorable. We didn’t want to leave.

We had a fun time here today. The shops and people watching were great The salted donuts were wonderful, and the Mrs picked up some gifts. I can not get over how clean the entire place was. Everyone was very friendly!

In April of 2019, we enjoyed walking around and checking out different shops that are located in Euglena Mall. The people that worked there were very friendly and would talk to you without being pushy to buy something. That's how you can meet some of the locals and learn about them and Ishigaki island.

Anyway, we camped there for one night and next day afternoon someone left a noye saying that campsite was closed. In a nutshell, the campsite is beautiful but the information was not updated and there was no way communicatinf to the poeple who run it.

Last week I visited the yonehara camping ground known for "Yonehara beach". From kabira bay ➡ Yonehara beach Less then 10mins by car 🚗 I recommend to have car if you visit there because here in ishigaki bus has it's own schedule and have different number and color code route it's confusing if you will visit here for 3 days escapade. It was my first time to be visit there, the weather was fine and it was little cloudy in the afternoon (time 14:00 to 16:00) Lets have checklist: 😎🏖✔ - SAND: white and same like sugar grain - WATER: it's cystal clear and has many coral and fish near the shore (sorry i don't have photo by the way im using samsung s8+ and iphone📸) - ENVIRONMENT: they have Comfort room (toilet, トイレ), wash and cooking area (I saw dried woods and stone like used to cooked i dont know what they call it), vendo machine for drinks (it was famous here in japan, it's everywhere) PROS: they alloted a space when they can put tent for campers. CONS: garbage disposal is not maintained, signage was visible but written in japanese. - ACTIVITIES: snorkeling, paddle boards, swimming, picnic with family and friends( this based on my observation that day) - RECOMENDATION: bring snorkeling gear because there's no rental shop, bring your own food store are far and expensive, first aid vinegar incase you encounter jellyfish. I think more acoustic music instead of having it amplified like a rock concert would have been better. Parking lot was very far from the front desk so we had to wait for a van to take us to jump in the rental car. Booking tours was pretty good but a few didn’t allow a 5-year old to ride on the boat. We ended up going on a tour with very young-amateur guides which turned out to be a waste of ¥35,000 for 2 adults. We were changed ¥5,000 for son to be on the boat. Beach front was great both early morning views of the fish yo evening sunsets. Kids pool (outdoor) was amazing. Very cold but very fun!! Overall if you have lots of money to stay in a nice hotel I recommend this one. Just choose times when the pool water is warm.

Stayed in an ocean view twin room and it was AMAZING! View was of the ocean and the trees and was beautiful even on a cloudy day. The staff was wonderful. The resort was family friendly but also great for couples. The restaurants and setting did not disappoint. I want to acknowledge Hoang at the front desk and Mayuka in the spa. Thank you so much for making my weekend so wonderful. We will definitely be back.

We very much enjoyed our 5-day stay at Fusaki Beach Resort on Ishigaki-jima. It is quite conveniently located for getting to the ferry terminal and is about a half hour taxi ride from the airport. Be warned that the hotel is quite expansive and it was a long walk from the lobby to our room, although it is possible to request a cart ride from the friendly staff. We especially loved the breakfast buffet, both in the western style and Japanese style restaurants. The quality and variety of food on offer was outstanding and we all looked forward to eating as much as possible every morning! My daughters loved the pools and the private beach, where they were able to find some lovely seashells. Strongly recommended!

We stayed in a villa and on the second night found 2 cockroaches in the room and another one crawling in our bed. The room had obvious mold and dirt in the corners and along the ceiling, and the bathrooms were very outdated. The AC unit did not work well enough to cool the room, so it ended up being 80F/26C all the nights we were there. Even after complaining and asking to be moved to a new room, we were put back in the same type of old room and all the problems (no AC, bugs, dirty) were exactly the same. Wish I could recommend this, but for what you are paying this simply isn't worth it.

Amongst the highlights were the food and restaurants. We tried both the western style one (bold kitchen) and the Asian fusion style one and the food was exceptional. Often in buffets, food can quickly look tired but all of the food was extremely fresh no matter what time we dined. We also loved the facilities and especially the outdoor pools, the indoor pool and hot baths. The room was very clean and comfortable also. If I were to give constructive feedback it would be to offer some less expensive food options as it was very expensive for 5 days. We did go and dine in the city nearby on 2 nights because of this. We also found a very nice cafe on the hill within walking distance (see my other reviews). I would also suggest maybe a shuttle bus into the city in the evening maybe? However, the resort overall was amazing and so we will definitely come back (from Australia) again! We can’t wait! Thanks to everyone at the resort!
